He was pouting.

He knew that much and he did not care one bit.

Kagome was walking fast, looking down at his cell phone (he really needed to buy her one, why in the hell did she not have one!?) at the GPS that would lead them to the Endeavor Agency.

Of course people and fans alike quickly noticed him and gathered in small groups around him, amazed that he was in Endeavor's city and he tried to appease his fans as quickly as possible while not losing sight of Kagome. It took a few minutes and he was flying to avoid more fans just as she stopped before the massive building that was the Endeavor Agency.

"Well, it definitely fits his character," Hawks snickered, letting out a noise of disbelief when Kagome slapped his phone in his hand and proceeded to enter the building without a hint of a response to his joke, "Miko-chan, are beginning to favour him over me?!"

His brow twitched when he got no answer.

"Oh, are you here to see someone tod–" The secretary at the desk began politely, but then stood up as Kagome simply ignored her and walked past her towards the elevator, "You must have an appointment. I cannot let you simply walk around as you please." The secretary stated and pressed a button on her desk, locking the elevators, "If you do not have an appointment, you can make one now with me," She frowned, "Or if you continue to cause trouble, I will call security."

Hawks began to panic when Kagome narrowed her eyes and reached down for her sword so he quickly stepped up to the secretary's desk and she jumped quite noticeably when she realized who she was facing.

"Hey, yeah," Hawks scratched the back of his head, "We don't exactly have an appointment, but since Endeavor-san and I have agreed to work together and share intel, would be it fine if we went up there without an appointment? I'd rather do it this way than fly up and bang on his window, you know? Oh, and that cute little girl over there is my sidekick~"

The secretary looked torn, glancing at Kagome with suspicious eyes before she sighed, "All right," She pressed the button to unlock the elevators, "I will call ahead to tell Endeavor that you are coming up. You are lucky he is even here."

"Hey, thanks a lot!" Hawks grinned, moving quickly over to the elevator as Kagome walked into one as he did not want it to shut him out, "Hey, what's a Delta anyway?"

Kagome glanced over to him, staring at him with those blue eyes, "Did my comment bother you?" She asked, looking down, "I apologize if it did. Deltas are not weak if that is what you think. They are the foundations of a pack. In fact, they are the best hunters of a pack," She peered over his entire body, "Out of me, a human Miko, a Fire Oni, and you, a Tengu – you would most certainly be the best hunter."

"Oh," Hawks blinked, rubbing his head, "Well, thanks, Miko-chan~" He ruffled her hair, smiling when her cheeks flushed slightly, "Then Endeavor-san can be this Beta thing. I'm fine with being Delta."

"Then is it settled," Kagome's smile was small as they finally reached the top floor, "I can tell the Fire Oni now so he may get used to the role," Her smile faded, "But more importantly, he needs to know about my backpack."

Hawks let out a little noise of agreement as the doors opened and they stepped into a massive room that was almost bare, excluding the small table, the two couches around it, and Endeavor's desk.

"Yep, just like him," Hawks shook his head, "Endeavor-san really needs to hire an interior decorator or something. This is just..."

Kagome ignored him, stepping towards the desk and not hesitating when a massive flame shot upwards in warning, "Fire Oni, we need to speak," She stated in a firm voice, "Now."

Endeavor stared at the two from his desk, glad he got a swift warning beforehand, "Make it quick. I have my rounds to do."

"Then we can do them with you, Fire Oni," Kagome smirked, "You are officially Beta of this pack, which means we fight together and only I have the authority to say otherwise."

Endeavor stood in front of Kagome, clearly trying to intimidate her with their obvious height difference, "I listen to no one, girl, but myself." He said clearly, crossing his arms.

"It seems that you do still possess delusions," Kagome closed her eyes, "I had hoped by now you had noticed what they are."

Her next words shocked Hawks and even disturbed Endeavor for a reason he did not know.

"Perhaps you are not Beta worthy?"
