"Are you worthy to join my pack?"
Shouto quickly regained his balance after a few seconds of hearing those strange words, "Join your pack?" He repeated cynically, "What does that even mean?" His eyes narrowed, "Why are you here?"
Kagome observed the boy for a moment, 'Fire... and ice?' She mused, 'Quite interesting. Such elements would normally avoid each other at all costs,' She would have to inquire about this with the Fire Oni when his pups were not not around, "To join my pack would automatically place you under my protection. If anyone so much puts a scratch on you without my permission, I will hunt them down and kill them."
Natsuo and Fuyumi let out noises of shock and fear, not used to hearing someone talking about killing so casually, but Shouto kept an impassive face, impressing Kagome enough.
"Of course, as Alpha of this pack, you will have to obey my orders and train under me when you are not attending... school and college... is it?" Kagome tilted her head, glancing at the two males, letting a quiet sigh when the one with all white hair seemed to tremble when she looked at him.
"You? You're the leader?" Shouto blinked, looking at his father, who was leaning against the wall with his arm crossed his chest and his eyes closed, "What exactly is this? Aren't 'packs' a group of some sort of canine species?"
"That's because she is a dog, Shouto," Endeavor answered with a huff, mentally rolling his eyes when Hawks went flailing about again about his carelessness, "Or at least, thinks like one."
"If you need to know, your father is the Beta – the second-in-command," Kagome stated, as if those demeaning comments did not bother her one bit, "And Hawks is the Delta – who helps keep the pack running and is one of the hunters."
"Okay, that's it!"
Kagome paused as a set of hands slammed onto the table and she glanced over to the other male, who was now standing and looked rather enraged, not at her, but at his father.
"I can't do this anymore!" Natsuo began to walk to the way out, which meant walking past his father and he tensed when Endeavor put a hand on his shoulder to stop him.
"Natsuo, if you something to say to me, then say it." Endeavor let go of his son's shoulder when it was quickly shrugged off like it was poisonous.
"Oh, that's rich, coming from the guy who never once looked me in the eye," Natsuo sneered, "I get the sense that Okaa-san and Nee-chan want to forgive you, but I can't," He suddenly pointed at Kagome, glaring at the floor, "And what the hell is she? You some kind of sugar daddy now, huh? Did you forgot all about Okaa-san already!?"
Kagome blinked as gloved hands suddenly covered her ears and she was forcibly shoved into Hawks' chest and she flushed slightly, not expecting the abrupt movements, "Hawks, what–!?"
A few sharpened feathers hovered near Natsuo enough to give warning, "I don't care who you are," His golden eyes grew dark, "But if you insult Miko-chan like that again, I promise you'll regret it."
"Enough of this, Hawks," Endeavor sighed, his headache growing worse as the feathers flew back to the blond, "Natsuo, you are out of line."
"Oh, I'm out of line?!" Natsuo clenched his fist, trembling a bit from those feathers, "I'm the one who was just nearly attacked by a Hero – the No. 2 Hero at that!" He punched the wooden frame of the shoji door, "When I look at you, all I see is a psychopath getting rave reviews, never once stopping to look at us failures or Okaa-san's cries."
Kagome finally managed to wrestle herself away from Hawks just in time to see Natsuo stomp away, "I suppose it makes sense, his attitude," She murmured, but Hawks heard it and he looked down at her curiously, "A Fire Oni and a Yuki-Onna coming together to breed?"
How ridiculous.
