A/N: I'm sorry that it's been so long, but I've been struggling with writer's block as of lately. Now, regarding the review from one of my fans.
Nthnightfury - Since time travel is involved, I will think about adding the Maximals. But that is all that I am promising you.
I'm more familiar with the TV version, but I may be including some features from the comic book versions as well. Also, I'm dead serious about Eric still becoming the leader of the Silver Guardians. I just don't know how I'm going to pull that off, yet.
One more thing. I will make Jack more friendly towards the Rangers than Eric was. That means he'll actually see them as his friends, and help them out when they call for him.
Silver Hills, Clock Tower
It had been a few days since the Quantum Ranger made his big debut and defeated Brickneck. The Rangers were currently replaying the events of the last few days on their holo-computer; particularly the battle between the Quantum Ranger, the Cyclobots, and Brickneck. Trip was running a full scan analysis on the Quantum Morpher, to see how much different it truly was from their own morphers. Once he was finished, he decided to voice his findings to his teammates. "Guys, this morpher's way more advanced than any of ours. But unlike ours, this one has a voice recognition system, instead of a D.N.A. lock. That means it will only respond to the first person who spoke into it." With this new information, all the Rangers had their own opinions on the matter. Katie was the first one to voice hers.
"And to think, all that power was in the hands of a kid; who managed to defeat a mutant, single-handedly." Katie said.
"You know, Jen, I've been thinking. Maybe Jack can help us in finding the Quantasaurus, before Ransik does." Trip suggested.
"Absolutely not! You know as well as I do, that Jack Darby's future, is too important to risk. And on top of that, he's just a kid. He doesn't know what he's getting into." Jen replied.
"Yeah, but Jen; not that I'm arguing with you, because I'm not. But Jack seemed like a good kid; he had the good faith to return the morpher after he helped us. Besides, what is it that he does, that makes such a big difference in the future anyway?" Wes asked her.
"It's not just him." Jen replied.
By now, Wes had already been briefed on the Cybertronians, and everything about them. So, at the risk of knowing future information; Jen activated their holo-computer, bringing up Jack Darby's file. She then began to elaborate. "In just a few years to a decade from now, the Cybertronians will be out in the public. During that time, Jack Darby becomes one of three ambassadors alongside his friends; Rafael Esquivel and Miko Nakadai, for the Cybertronian race. As the three ambassadors, they did a lot of good for both humans, and Cybertronians.
But Jack Darby was the most trusted by Optimus Prime. So much so, that he basically made him an honorary Prime. So, as a result, all the Cybertronians in the future, still remember Jack Darby. They view him as a beacon of hope. But becoming a Power Ranger, was never part of the equation, for him. Guys, we've messed with history enough. We can't afford any more mistakes!" Once Jen finished speaking, everyone took in what she said, with the utmost seriousness; and wondered what to do next.
"Don't worry guys, for all we know, he was just passing by. I doubt we'll even see Jack Darby, again." Jen said as a form of reassurance. Suddenly, the bell down in the lobby rang; signaling that someone had an odd job for them. "Oh, I wonder who that could be." Jen said as they made their way downstairs, to see who that could be. Trip put the Morpher in his pocket, at the last minute; before he followed them downstairs. The Rangers were shocked to see who was at their door.
"Hi, I'm Jack Darby; and I was hoping that you could help us." Jack said. His friends, Miko and Raf; could also be seen, standing in the doorway, with him.

The Rangers stared in a dazed state, at Jack. They weren't expecting to see him again; and definitely not so soon. Jack could tell how dazed they were; just by seeing how they were looking at him and his friends. So, he decided to break the ice. "Hey, are you guys okay? You all look like you've just seen a ghost, or three." Jack said, gesturing to both himself, and his friends. After hearing this, Jen decided to snap out of her shock; and be the one to speak first.
"Oh, sorry! How can we help you?" Jen asked, since she remembered they were still an odd job company; there to help anyone in need.
"Well, you see, me and my friends, Miko and Raf. Are here on a class field trip from Jasper, Nevada. This is our last day before we have to go home; and one of our assignments is learning the history of Silver Hills, for our project. So, we were hoping you could tell us about this clock tower, and it's history. I mean, this place does look kind of old. So, can you tell us anything about it?" Jack asked, in a polite fashion.
"Um, you know. Wes is such a good expert on this place. I'm sure he can tell you all about it, right Wes?" Jen said as she pushed Wes towards Jack; hoping to interact with Jack as less as possible. Wes felt embarrassed to be put on the spot like that; but he did like to help out whenever he could. So, Wes began to improvise a speech. But at that moment, the phone rang; causing a sigh of release to escape Wes's breath. "Nick of Time odd jobs, how may we help you?" Jen spoke into the phone. Jen hung up the phone, and spoke to her friends. "Guys, we've got a clean up job to take care of, in the park. So, get the equipment, and let's go!"
"Sorry, but that history lesson's gonna have to wait till some other time." Wes said to Jack, with relief in his voice.
"Well, you know what? I flip burgers for a living, back in Jasper. So, maybe we could lend you a hand on this one?" Jack asked them, hoping to get what they want; and sound helpful, at the same time.
"What?" Both Miko and Jen asked; while sounding surprised at what Jack just suggested.
"Um, hello Jack. Do I look like I'm meant for picking up garbage and leaves? I am not using what little time we have left on this trip, to clean up the park!" Miko said in a mix of sarcasm, and seriousness.
"And besides, we've got this anyhow. You don't have to help us." Jen said.
"Yeah, and also, you shouldn't add any more work on your last day in town." Wes replied.
"No, it's fine. I don't have anything better to do anyway." Jack said. He then looked back at Miko, and started speaking to her. "Look Miko, I can't force you into anything, okay? But learning things on this trip, is important; and so is helping out anyone in need." Jack then directed his attention back to Wes, and started speaking to him. "So, what I'm proposing is, we help you guys out with this job. And in exchange, you tell us what we'd like to know about this place. Sound fair?"
Wes gave a look of open-mindedness to that question; and honestly, it did sound like a fair suggestion. It made Wes really like Jack's confidence. Jack turned his head towards Raf, and said. "Well, what do you think, Raf. Does it sound fair to you? But remember, this is your choice; and you're free to say no at any time."
Raf gave it some really strong thought. Cleaning up the park, wasn't what he had in mind. But Jack was right. They did need the credit for their class; and helping people, just seemed like the right thing to do. "Well, this wasn't on my to do list for our last day. But I think that helping people; as well as getting what we need, is equally important. So, I'm in!" Raf said to his friend. Jack smiled at that, then looked at Miko; wondering what her answer would be.
"Oh, okay. I guess I'm in too. But I better see the Power Rangers One last time, on our last day!" Miko said in a mix of boredom, and determination. Hearing this, made Jack happy; as he looked at Wes, hoping for the go ahead.
"Well, how about it Jen?" Wes asked her, hoping to get her approval.
Jen gave a sigh of annoyance, before speaking again. "Go get them some uniforms!" After hearing that, almost everyone gave a chant of excitement; as they prepared to get themselves ready for today's job.
meanwhile, at Ransik's headquarters
Ransik and his followers were still processing the concept of the new Ranger. At that moment, Ransik's daughter, Nadira, came into the room; ranting about their new predicament. "Daddy, there are six Rangers now! What are we going to do?"
Ransik responded with. "The Rangers have the power of the Quantum Ranger. But I'm going to get the Quantasaurus Rex!"
Then his mutant underling, Gluto said. "Yeah, you'll get the Quantasaurus Rex, even better. Um, question, what's a Quantasaurus Rex?" This proved just how small-minded he was to all of them.
So Frax, Ransik's robot servant, went into further detail on what that was. By saying that the Quantasaurus Rex was the most powerful megazord ever created by Time Force. No criminal would have stood a chance against its incredible power. But fortunately for them, it was lost in a time travel experiment. So Ransik hatched a plan to use a mutant, to go back in time, and get it for him. But as he was preparing the mutant for reanimation; Frax voiced another concern on the matter at hand.
"But Ransik, don't you remember what happened in the battle with the Quantum Ranger? One of his friends was a Cybertronian! Which means, their war has already been brought to Earth. So, now we'll have to worry about Optimus Prime too."
"If Optimus Prime is on Earth, now. Then he will soon learn, to stand aside; or be crushed in the process. Because it'll take more than a Prime, to stop us." Ransik said, while finishing with a evil laugh.
Silver Hills, Park
Jack and his friends were wearing white jumpsuits from "Nick of Time odd jobs" ; while they helped the Rangers clean up the park. Miko and Raf were helping Katie. Jen and Trip with raking some leaves, and cleaning up trash. While across the street; Lucas, Wes and Jack, were helping with a public car wash. Lucas was washing some fancy sports car; while Wes was both washing, and tuning up his motorcycle, in his free time. Jack began walking his motorcycle, (secretly his Autobot guardian, Arcee) , towards Wes.
Arcee had decided to chaperone the kids on their last day in Silver Hills; just to be on the safe side. Jack was in the middle of finishing a conversation with Arcee; right before he was approached by Wes. "Seriously Arcee, you don't have to chaperone us on our last day in town." But for her, Jack's words seem to have fallen on deaf audio receptors.
"Sorry partner, but until you three are back in good old Jasper, where it's safe. You and me are stuck like freshly welded metal." Arcee responded.
"Arcee, if you're worried about us getting stuck in another mutant attack. That was a few days ago; and I've called you everyday since then. Mostly, because you insisted on it." He said back.
"Look Jack, I'm sorry; but I just want to be on the safe side, okay?" Arcee said. At this point, Jack knew he wasn't going to win this argument with her; so he just decided to keep his mouth shut, and resume his task. Jack placed his motorcycle right next to Wes's motorcycle. He set up the kickstand, before he proceeded to wash it; just as Wes did with his our motorcycle. Wes couldn't help but stare at Jack's bike; since he knew full well, that it was the same Cybertronian from the other day. Jack caught the glimpses that he was giving his bike. He decided to comment on that. To make the moment a little less awkward for the both of them.
"She's caught your eye, hasn't she?!" Jack asked, in a humorous way.
This snapped Wes out of his trance, and forced a response. "What?"
"My motorcycle. She's really caught your eye, hasn't she? Well, I think yours is pretty cool too! It seems real fast." Jack said in an attempt to make him feel better; while sounding nice, at the same time.
His attempt succeeded in bringing a smile to Wes's face; as well as snap him back to reality. "Oh right, the motorcycle. Yeah, that's totally what I meant. And thanks for saying that. I really do love my bike. Sometimes, when I ride it; I like to think that nothing else exists, except for me, it, and the road. You ever feel that way about your motorcycle?" Wes asked. Even though he's only known Jack for a short time; the one thing he knew for sure, was that he was really starting to like this kid. He really seemed like a trustworthy, and nice guy. He only wished that he met him under normal circumstances. Maybe the Quantum Morpher really was meant for him.
"Yeah, I feel that way too, sometimes. But in some strange way, you could say that mine feels like it's out of this world." Jack spoke. Jack could see the look of shock on Wes's face; which caused a response from Jack. "What's the matter? It almost looks like you thought I meant that literally." This brought Wes out of his shock; and all Jack could do, was hope that Wes thought that he was joking. Luckily, that's exactly what seemed to happen. Wes just went along with it; pretending not to know anything about it.
That way, Jack wouldn't piece together, that he was the Red Ranger. Wes and Jack spent the next few minutes, working on their bikes; while talking, and getting to know each other. But at that moment, a black SUV, owned by the Silver Guardians, pulled up. Who stepped out of it, was none other than Eric; and he did not look happy. Eric found his target, as he set his sights on Jack.
"You!" Eric said, as he pointed at Jack; while walking towards him. Eric put his hands on Jack, yanking at his shirt collar, with ill intent. "I told you I'd be back, kid. I want that morpher; and I want it now!"
"Eric, let him go!"" Wes said, while grabbing on to Eric's arm.
Eric shoved Wes off of him. "You stay out of this, Wes! This is between me, and the kid!" He said.
"Wait, you two know each other?" Jack questioned.
"Yeah, unfortunately!" Eric responded with what could only be described as venom, in his voice. The other Rangers, and Jack's friends, came to his defense. They told Eric to leave him alone. Arcee moved her rear view mirror towards Eric. At this point, she just wished that she was allowed to break her cover; and teach him a valuable lesson about messing with her friends. Trip began to grip the Quantum Morpher, in his pocket. He kept thinking about just how far Eric would go to get it.
Jack lifted his left wrist, and rolled down his sleeve, in front of Eric. "Take a good look! Does it look like I have the morpher with me, at this moment?" Jack spoke.
"So, they haven't told you, huh? You don't know who your new friends are, do you, kid?" Eric said, gesturing to the Rangers. "Well, I bet you'd like to know, wouldn't you?" He said as a follow-up.
"What are you talking about?" Jack responded with curiosity. The Rangers were worried that Eric was going to expose their secret identities to Jack and his friends. Suddenly, at that moment; they heard the sound of troubling explosions. Which could only mean, that a mutant attack was near. This was unfortunate for Eric; because now he knew he had to attend to that. He told Jack that he got lucky, yet again, before leaving. The Rangers changed out of their jumpsuits, and ran towards the danger; helping anyone in trouble. Jack's friends were also on the move; before he stopped them. Jack then looked to his new friends as they ran
"Guys, wait! Don't you think we should leave that to the...Power Rangers?" Jack questioned them, in an in vain attempt. But one thing he knew for sure, was that if people were in danger; he wanted to help them too. So, he looked towards Raf and Miko, and said. "Come on guys, we should help people too!" To hear him say that, caught his friends by surprise.
"Are you sure?" Raf said.
"Awesome!" That was all Miko had to say.
"Absolutely not! Jack, I told you not to take so many risks. I thought you learned that from the last time you used the Quantum Morpher. And now you want to rush head-first into danger, all over again." Arcee replied. She wanted them to stay safe. So for her, going towards the danger, was a big No-No. But Jack genuinely wanted to help people. So, he said to her, the best thing that came to his mind.
"Look Arcee, I can't explain it. But ever since I put on the Quantum Morpher; I've become more determined to help people, than I ever have before. So I'm asking you, please! Let's help people, and try to get them to safety, please!" After hearing all of this, Arcee eventually gave in. She decided to allow it, as long as they stayed close to her; and promised not to get into any unnecessary trouble. Jack and his friends, removed their jumpsuits.
Jack put on his helmet, and mounted Arcee's vehicle form. Miko hopped on, right behind him. She put on a spare helmet, before wrapping her arms around his waist. They sped off to the mutant attack. Luckily, Bumblebee showed up at that moment, to give Raf a lift.
Meanwhile, the mutant causing chaos, was Commandocon. He was a mutant, with the ability to create portals in time Ransik tasked him to retrieve the Q-Rex. Commandocon was using his staff to blast a hole in the fabric of time and space. "Just a little more juice, and I can blast into the past." He said as the portal finally opened. "The time hole's open." He said, preparing to jump through. But before he could, laser blasts hit the ground near him. He looked up to see who did that. It was none other than the Power Rangers.
Jack and his friends, arrived just in time, to help get the people to safety. While they were getting everyone evacuated; they also got the chance to see the Power Rangers in action again. "And just where do you think you're going?" The Pink Ranger asked, still aiming her blaster at Commandocon.
"Oh, nowhere special; just to the distant past, to get the Q-Rex for Ransik. So, catch me if you can, Power Losers!" Commandocon replied. The mutant then shot at the Rangers with an energy blast. The blast hit the ground near the Rangers; causing them to fall down. After that, Commandocon jumped through the portal. Unknown to Trip, the fall made him drop the Quantum Morpher.
Jack saw the morpher on the ground; and rushed over to pick it up. He knew the things that this power would allow him to do. It could help him defeat the mutant, and save everyone. But he also remembered what Arcee told him, about taking unnecessary risks. He took the time to consider his actions. Realization dawned on him. The risk was better than the alternative, of doing nothing. If people were in danger, then he had to help them. That's just who Jack was. With a now steeled resolve; Jack strapped on the Morpher. "QUANTUM-POWER!" Jack shouted, before being turned into the Quantum Ranger.
During the initial quarrel with Commandocon; Jack overheard the Rangers say something about a "Q-Rex." This caused him to look up any information about the Q-Rex, that he could find on his visor. When Jack was finished; he now fully understood the scope of the situation. He had to help the Rangers. He couldn't allow the mutants to have that kind of power.
He made his way over to the Rangers. "Rangers, let me help you! I know about the Q-Rex; and I want to help you get it, before Commandocon does." Seeing the Quantum Ranger again; was a surprise to the other Power Rangers. So much so, that it made Trip a little worried. He checked himself, to see if he still had the morpher; and to his shock, he realized that he lost it. Jack must have picked it up, when he dropped it.
"What are you doing here? And how did you get that morpher?" Jen asked. The last she saw that thing; Trip was examining it, back at the clock tower. Which begged the question; "What was it doing outside of the clock tower?" Jen asked herself this question; while instinctively looking towards Trip. Trip could feel Jen's piercing gaze on him. It was like she was blaming him for losing the Morpher.
"I was in the area, with my friends. We saw the attack happen; and we tried to get the people to safety. I found the morpher; and thought that you could use a hand. But that's not important, right now. What is important; is that I can get you the Q-Rex." The other Rangers were a bit hesitant to allow this, at first. However, they understood that Jack might be their best chance at getting the Q-Rex, before Ransik. But Jen did not seem convinced that it was a good idea.
"No, Jack! It's a bad idea! You shouldn't even be here anyway. You need to get to safety, now!" Jen said to him.
"Please! If he gets the Q-Rex, then we're all in trouble. Let me help you; just like I did last time! I won't let you down. Please!" He begged them. The Red Ranger gave it some serious thought. He knew that trusting Jack, paid off last time; so now couldn't be any different, right?
"We're running out of time; and we don't have a lot of options. Besides, trusting him worked out last time; and I'm willing to bet it will again." The Red Ranger responded. They all took what he said to heart; and knew that he was right.
"Thank you! I'll give the morpher back, when I get control of the Quantasaurus. I promise!" Jack said to them. Miko began to voice how cool she thought that Jack was being. Then Jack spoke into the morpher. "TF-Eagle!" Not long after that, some sort of futuristic mini-jet, landed right in front of them. Jack then jumped in the cockpit.
"Where'd you get that?" Miko asked him.
"As far as I can tell, from reading the instructions; it came with the suit." Jack said, hopping inside. "Hey Red Ranger, you coming? I might need some backup."
"You don't have to ask me twice!" The Red Ranger said, hopping on the side of the jet. To Jack's surprise, Miko got in the cockpit; and hopped into his lap. When he asked what she thought she was doing; she told him that she was going with them. Jack tried to argue against that; but Miko never gave in. This was just like her. She was always looking for the next adrenaline rush. Realizing that she wasn't going to take no for an answer; Jack finally relented. He told her that she could come, under the condition that she listens to him; and does exactly what he says. She agreed; and then they were off.
At the last minute, Arcee grabbed onto the jet; wanting to join her partner. It was a harsh ride; especially with all of the extra weight, slowing them down. But soon enough, they made it through the time vortex.
the other side of the vortex, 1 hour later
Wes was knocked unconscious; and as a result, he was also de-morphed. He began to wake up to the sound of arguing voices. "Miko, you can't just go through someone's things like that. It's rude. And not to mention, an invasion of privacy! Now, for the last time, give me that!" Jack said, while swiping something from Miko's hands.
"Whatever, dude. I was just trying to get to know everything there is to know about this guy." Miko responded to him, in a state of boredom.
"Then we ask him. Simple as that!" Jack said. By now, he clearly trusted the Red Ranger, with his life. Wes's vision started to clear; allowing him to see something in Jack's hand. "Collins, Mr. Wes Collins." Jack said, revealing that the item he was holding was Wes's wallet. "Yeah, sorry about this. You de-morphed, and fell unconscious. So, as a result, your wallet fell out of your pocket. You probably shouldn't carry it around with you in your Ranger gear. You've been out for about an hour."
Jack gave him back his wallet, before he chose to speak again. "But don't worry! We won't tell anyone, right, Miko?" Jack turned his head towards her, as he spoke that last part; giving her a stern warning. Miko just gave him a look of annoyance, then gave in. "Well, first thing's first. Are you okay? You're not injured, or anything?" Jack asked, helping Wes to his feet.
"No, I'm fine." Wes responded.
"Good, because I'm going to need your help. We've got to find the Quantasaurus, before Commandocon does! And just for the record; I should've guessed you were a Power Ranger. From the moment I met you; there was just something about you that said, "Ranger." And it didn't help, that you actually thought I was serious; when I said my motorcycle was out of this world."
"Where are we?" Wes asked the obvious question.
"My guess is, we went back a few million years." Jack said back to Wes. Piecing together, that it was most likely the Jurassic period. "Oh, by the way. I can't believe I forgot to introduce you guys. Wes, this is my partner, Arcee. Arcee, this is Wes Collins, The Red Time Force Ranger. But I guess, I don't have to address you by Red Ranger anymore." Jack said, introducing the two of them.
Wes extended his hand, in introduction. "Hi, nice to meet you, ma'am."
Arcee shook Wes's hand. "Likewise, and I'm glad you're here. It makes it easier to protect these two. But I'm still wishing that Jack wouldn't take so many risks; especially by using that morpher again."
Jack responded with. "Well it seemed like a good idea at the time. But there are more important things to focus on right now, Arcee. Like finding the Q-Rex, before Commandocon does."
"And to think, we were hanging out with the Power Rangers, this whole time. And we didn't even know it." Miko said. Jack took one look at her; and approached her with a less than pleased look on his face.
"Miko, you shouldn't even be here. Are you ever going to change? Because ever since I've known you; you've always snuck into the Ground Bridge, when no one was looking. And now you're adding time vortexes to that list! When will it ever be enough for you, Miko?" Jack scolded her.
"Dude, going through the Ground Bridge, is one thing. But going through time, is another thing entirely. Besides, I want to get a chance to see this "Quantasaurus Rex" , everyone keeps talking about. I only wish Bulkhead was here with us." She replied. Miko came upon a nest full of hatching baby dinosaurs. She thought they were cute. But then, the ground started to rumble; and a loud booming, could be heard. "Jack?" Miko asked. But Jack just shushed her. He was trying to get a sense of what that noise was. The noise was revealed to be the footsteps of a T-Rex.
Everyone was now on the run; as the T-Rex chased them through the jungle. Eventually, they all got separated. Jack was running for his life, with Miko; while Arcee and Wes were sent in a different direction. Miko and Jack, ran until the T-Rex knocked her down. It was preparing to devour her. However, Jack managed to jump, and get her out of the way; before the dinosaur could chomp either of them. They kept running, until they came to the edge of a cliff. The T-Rex swung its tail at them. But Arcee and Wes, arrived just in time; to push Jack and Miko, out of the way.
The tail hit them, sending them over the cliff. "ARCEE! WES!" Jack shouted, as his friends went plummeting down the cliff. He felt bad for them; but the T-Rex wasn't going to stop. He knew that protecting Miko, was his top priority. He saw a small cave, just behind the T-Rex. Maybe if he could get Miko, and himself, there; they would be safe. "Come on!" Jack instructed, as he and Miko, ran underneath the T-Rex; and into the cave. They huddled up against the wall; with the T-Rex trying to bite at them. Thankfully, the cave was too narrow for the T-Rex, to fit its head in to.
The dinosaur eventually gave up, and left them alone. Jack and Miko, discovered and opening, that further opened up the cave. They went deeper into the cave; and saw some primitive cave drawings. The drawings depicted the Q-Rex. This led Jack to believe, that they were now inside the same cave that the Quantum Morpher was found in; millions of years ago, in the past. The pictures also showed, a massive volcano. This gave Jack an idea. "That's it! That's where the Quantasaurus is! The volcano!" Jack said, before he and Miko, made their way out of the cave.
At the bottom of the cliff, Arcee and Wes, were recovering. Thankfully, neither one of them was too badly hurt.
Back in modern times, the Rangers had regrouped back at the clock tower. They had brought Raf with them; with Bumblebee waiting outside. They were aware that this meant revealing their identities to him. But after everything that happened; they couldn't just leave him behind, to wonder what happened to his friends. That wouldn't have been right. They were currently scanning the timeline, for any sign of their friends. So far, they weren't having much luck.
"We've scanned 4,000 millennia. Not a trace." Circuit informed the others.
"Keep looking!" Jen instructed. This made Trip got back to searching the database.
"What if we can't find them?" Katie asked, as she grabbed a hold of Lucas.
"Then we'd better hope that they can find a way back." Lucas responded.
"But, what about my friends? We can't just leave them stranded in the past!" Raf said, in a state of concern.
Jen could see the fear in Raf's eyes. He was afraid for his friends. He was afraid that he wouldn't be able to see them again. Jen placed her hand on his back, in an attempt to comfort him. "Don't worry! We're not giving up." She reassured him.
As Wes and Arcee kept walking through the jungle, Wes fell into a hole. Upon further observation; it was determined that it wasn't a hole, but rather, a footprint. The biggest footprint that Wes has ever seen. They were definitely getting closer to finding the Quantasaurus. Then the ground started to shake; and Wes fell down. When he looked up; he saw the Q-Rex. It almost stepped on him. Thankfully, he was able to avoid its massive foot. They followed the Q-Rex to its hiding spot; only to find that Commandocon was also there.
"Qantasaurus Rex! I've found it! You're all mine, now!" Commandocon said, before Wes attacked him from behind. The attack made the mutant fall down.
"Think again!" Wes challenged.
"Very funny! You can't stop me." The mutant said.
"Want to bet! "TIME FOR TIME FORCE!" With that command being said, Wes morphed into The Red Ranger. Then both he, and Arcee, did battle with the mutant. Wes clashed his Chrono sabers against his enemy's staff. Arcee was also able to pop out her blades; and engage the mutant. As the fight went on; Commandocon found an opening to grab Wes.
"Neither you, nor your metal friend, can beat me. You might as well give up." Commandocon said.
"I'm a Power Ranger! I never give up!" Wes retorted.
"WES!" A now morphed Jack shouted. He and Miko had finally caught up to their friends. Jack rushed towards Wes and Arcee; to give them a hand. Commandocon threw Wes to the ground. Seeing that he was now outnumbered; he fired a blast at everyone around him. Sparks went flying everywhere. This bought the mutant enough time to run inside the cave. "Wes! Arcee!" Said Jack, before he ran over to Wes; and got him back on his feet. "When I saw you both go over the cliff, I was so worried. Are you guys okay?" Jack inquired.
"We're fine! But we have to stop him from getting the Q-Rex!" Arcee stated. But by then, it was already too late. Commandocon emerged from the cave; with the Q-Rex, now completely under his control. The mutant then opened a time portal; for him and the Q-Rex to travel through. Knowing that they couldn't let them get away; Jack called for the TF-EAGLE. When the ship arrived; the ground was beginning to break apart. Arcee began to realize something. Getting here was hard enough.
If they wanted to stop Commandocon, in time; then they couldn't afford to have their ship be slowed down by her. "Jack, you should go without me!" Arcee told him.
"What?" Jack asked, in a state of bewilderment.
"I'm slowing your ship down. The only way for you to have a fast and safe trip back; is for you to leave me behind. Besides, I'm a Cybertronian. A couple of million years, is nothing to me. Now, go!" She ordered.
"I am not going to leave you! Either we all make it back; or none of us do!" Arcee could hear the seriousness in Jack's voice. She knew that he meant exactly what he said. He wasn't going to leave her behind. They weren't just partners, not anymore. They were more like family.
Knowing that Jack absolutely refused to abandon her; Arcee finally gave in. "Alright. Then we better get moving, fast!" She said, as the place continued to come apart.
Jack jumped in the cockpit of the TF-EAGLE. "Get in my lap!" He told Miko. Miko did as she was instructed. Wes got on the side of the wing; with Arcee grabbing the bottom of the ship. To compensate for the extra weight; Jack rerouted all power to the thrusters. Then they all flew through the time vortex.
In the present, the Rangers found out that the time vortex was opening. So they, along with Raf, and Bumblebee; went to go greet their returning friends. What actually came through the portal, was the Q-Rex, and Commandocon. At first, the Rangers were excited to see the Q-Rex. But to their surprise; it started destroying the city.
The one thing that the Rangers were actually glad to see; was the return of their friends. The TF-EAGLE was flying through the sky; carrying its many passengers. Jack saw the others on the ground; and proceeded to land his ship, near them. When they landed, Raf ran up to Jack, and hugged him. "Jack! Are you guys ok?" He asked.
"It's ok, Raf. We're all fine." Jack saw the Q-Rex going on a rampage; and he knew that something had to be done about it. "We'll have to catch up later. But for right now; I've got a dinosaur to tame." Jack said. Raf then released Jack; and let him go to work. Jack spoke into his morpher. "Quantasaurus Rex, I order you to stop, right now!" But Jack's command did nothing to stop the Q-Rex.
"Voice identification, blocked!" The computer told him.
"What? Blocked? I don't understand." Jack commented.
"Jack, what's going on?" Wes asked him.
"I don't know. For some reason, the Q-Rex isn't listening to me." He responded. The Q-Rex just kept destroying everything. "We've got to stop him, now! If we don't; then the whole city will be destroyed!" Jack warned.
Ransik and his followers, appeared on a rooftop; to admire the absolute destructive power, that was the Quantasaurus Rex. Ransik was getting everything he wanted. With the Q-Rex on his side; nothing could stop him from taking over.
A/N: I want to give thanks to my brother, "Heroman95"; for his help in writing this chapter. Because it wasn't just me. Credit, where credit is due.
Also, just so you all know; I may be starting a new job this week, because I have a job interview tomorrow. So, updates might be slow coming.
We tried to keep the characters, in character as much as we could. So I'm sorry, if some of them seem a little off. But, we did the best we could.
By the way, I'm not always going to use the opening theme music. I only did it this time, for dramatic effect. I mean come on; doing the opening right after Jack and his friends walk into the clock Tower. Now you have to admit, that was pretty cool.
This is your resident rookie (I'm not going to always call myself that) Cloud Prince J'onzz, signing off.
