Chapter 4: Ice Climbers
The Ice Climbers, Popo and Nana, were climbing as high as they could up the side of the icy mountain. "You okay there, sis?" Popo asked. "Doing good here, bro." Nana said. "Good, because we're almost there." Popo said.
And just like that, Popo and Nana reached the top. Both of them sat down on the ledge to rest themselves. "Wow. That was quite the climb." Nana said. "I know, sis. But it was all worth it." Popo said. "I just wish there was a bigger challenge we can both face." Nana said. "Me too, sis. Me too." Popo said.
Suddenly, there was screech. Popo and Nana looked up and saw a Condor flying towards them. "It's a Condor!" Popo said. "What's it doing here?" Nana asked. The Condor landed next to them, holding a letter in its beak. "What're you doing here?" Popo asked. The Condor handed them the letter. "What is it?" Nana asked. "It's a letter. From Smash." Popo said. They opened the letter and started to read it.
Dear Ice Climbers
You have been invited to join us in the Super Smash Bros. If you wish to accept this invite, your life will be filled with excitement and adventure as you compete against your fellow smashers in a series of competitions. We would be very honored if you would accept this invitation.
Sincerely, Mario
"Mario?! As in Super Mario?! He want's us to join Smash?!" Nana asked in shock. "Oh, my gosh! This is the greatest moment in our lives, sis!" Popo said. "This is exactly what we wished for, bro!" Nana said. "I know! We got our wish!" Popo said. The 2 siblings cheered and danced around, hugging each other.
"But wait a minute." Nana said suddenly. Popo stopped and looked at his sister. "What's wrong, sis?" He asked. "I've heard things about Smash. The combatants are supposed to be pretty tough. Are we making the right decision joining Smash?" Nana asked, making a point. Popo thought about it. "I think we should go for it." He said. Nana was confused. "I know that people only see us as kids. But if we join Smash, we can prove that we can be as tough as grownups." Popo said. "You're right. Then let's do it." Nana said.
The Condor gave Popo and Nana a ride in the air. "Get ready, sis. For this is gonna the best first day of the rest of our lives." Popo said. "I know, bro. I can't wait." Nana said.
