In Pegasus's castle he was smirking as he looked at a screen showing Kaiba walking away from Yugi, Frisk, and the others as he chuckled and took a small sip of wine.

"That was quite the display Kaiba-boy, wiping out all of poor Joey's life points in one blast before he had any opportunity to defend himself." he noted. "You certainly haven't lost your touch despite your embarrassing defeat at the hands of Yugi Muto. Then again, considering what's at stake I'm not surprised you're not holding anything back."

He turned to look at another screen showing a boy with long black hair sitting in a cell as he clutched what looked like a card in his hand.

At that a man in a suit walked in and bowed slightly. "Mr. Pegasus, you requested my presence?"

"I did Croquet, and you're as punctual as ever." Pegasus replied. "I have a matter to attend to, so I'll be relying on you to keep an eye on the tournament for me for tonight. I trust you'll be able to handle it if anything of note happens?"

"Of course, though if you don't mind me asking what is it that requires your attention sir?" Croquet inquired.

Pegasus turned to walk out of the room. "I'm going to… take another look at young Frisk's deck this tournament is a good test for it but I'll admit it wasn't my best work and there are a few things I should adjust for after the competition."

With that he walked out of the room.

"Should someone talk to him?" Undyne inquired glancing over at where Joey was by himself looking out at the ocean.

"I AGREE WITH UNDYNE, YES HE WAS DEFEATED BUT HE'S STILL IN THE TOURNAMENT AND WITH YOU, FRISK, AND CHARA WORKING WITH HIM I'M CERTAIN YOUR GRANDFATHER WILL BE RESCUED HUMAN YUGI." Papyrus agreed.

"It's not just that, the farther we get into this tournament and the closer we get to the finals the more important it is for Joey." Yugi explained. "He told us that he got a message from his younger sister Serenity in the hospital because she has severe eye problems, they might be able to be fixed with surgery, but it would be really expensive."

"I get it, so Joey entered the tournament so he could get the prize money to help his sister." Frisk realized. "No wonder he's taking his loss so hard."

"Exactly, Kaiba might be better than most of the people on the island but right now Joey's the farthest from qualifying for the finals and the longer it takes the tougher the competition is going to be." Tristan added.

Meanwhile Joey was frowning. 'How am I supposed to help Serenity if I get knocked out of the tournament or don't qualify for the finals in the first place? I mean, I still don't even have five Star Chips so it'll take at least two duels and that's assuming I can even find two opponents in time.'

Suddenly someone hit him in the back of the head as he heard a voice laughing cruelly before losing consciousness. "Sleep well little Joey, you'll be the perfect bait for my real prize."'

With that the mysterious figure slowly dragged Joey off leaving a small note where he had been sitting.

Kaiba frowned as he was walking through the forest of Duelist Kingdom before pausing as he closed his eyes. "If you're going to follow me, at least try to make it less obvious."

At that a man in a suit with his hair styled into a point stepped out from behind a tree only to smirk. "It's been a while Kaiba, let me guess you came to rescue your little brother Mokuba right?"

"If you touched even one hair on his head, I…" Kaiba started only for the man in the suit to laugh.

"I wouldn't worry about Mokuba, I'd be much more worried about yourself." the man in the suit mentioned as he reached to grab Kaiba only for Kaiba to grab his arm and throw him over his shoulder.

"I think I'll be fine, now you're going to take me to Mokuba without alerting any of Pegasus's guards." Kaiba told the man simply. "Are we clear?"

The man flinched slightly before nodding. "Yeah, I understand perfectly. Mokuba's in the castle dungeon and if you don't know your way around, you'll get lost for years."

"Well it's a good thing you know your way around." Kaiba mentioned pulling the man to his feet. "Now let's get moving."

The man in the suit grunted as Kaiba held his arm behind his back and they walked off towards Pegasus's castle.

"Frisk, are you sure you're alright?" Chara asked her uncertainly. "Not just Yugi's grandpa, but Kaiba's brother and Joey's sister too."

"I don't know Chara." Frisk frowned. "This was supposed to be a chance to see my friend again but…"

"I know, but somehow everything will work out." Chara reassured her softly. "As long as we all stay determined, it'll work out somehow."

Hearing the familiar advice Frisk couldn't help but smile only for Alphys to suddenly gasp.

"Wait, where's Joey?" she asked nervously getting everyone's attention.

"What, oh man what's he thinking wandering off like that?" Tristan questioned running over only to notice a small note. "What the?"

Picking it up his eyes widened. "Oh man, you guys someone kidnapped Joey!"

"What?" Yugi questioned in shock as they all ran and Tristan handed them the note.

Your friend Joey is safe for now, but if you want him to stay that way, you'll come to me. I'm waiting for you little Yugi.

The note included a small map detailing where Joey and the mysterious person would be waiting.

(Kaiba is planning on rescuing his brother Mokuba, and someone kidnapped Joey and is threatening him and Yugi. Next chapter the mysterious individual will be revealed, and another duel will begin. As always any reviews or critique is appreciated.)

(I admit my deck building and card ideas aren't the greatest and so after the Duelist Kingdom arc Pegasus will have created an updated version of Frisk and Chara's decks, potentially unique decks for each of them but if anyone is willing to help create the two decks it would be greatly appreciated thanks.)
