Frisk held her breath as she stepped onto another vent before a jet of steam launched her farther along the path.

"I… think I'm getting used to these things." she admitted as she continued along the path only to notice lasers blocking her from moving forward. "Huh, but… how am I going to reach the king and find out what happened to Chara?"

She collapsed to her knees at that just as her phone buzzed.

Curious, Frisk took out her phone to see a text message from Alphys telling her that as long as she kept moving through them the orange lasers wouldn't hurt her and if she stayed perfectly still as the moving blue lasers passed her she would be fine.

Frisk looked at the orange laser in front of her before closing her eyes and running past it only to slowly open them as she realized Alphys was right and she didn't even feel the laser. "Thank you… Dr. Alphys, now I can find out what happened to my big sister."

She continued farther along the path, following the advice Alphys gave her about the lasers before eventually reaching more vents and a closed door with two green lights that were off on either side of it.

Seeing that Frisk frowned only to remember what Toriel told her when she first arrived in the Underground about how there would be puzzles she needed to solve in order to progress through the Underground as she hesitantly stepped on the vent only to cry out as it blew her to a path on the right.

As she walked on this path Frisk eventually found two monsters sitting outside of a room before she walked in and saw what looked like a space shooter game with a small ship at the bottom, a white ship at the other end of the game, and blocks preventing her from shooting the white ship.

"This puzzle is just too hard." mentioned an orange cat monster in a black suit. "And my coworkers aren't' helping, it's like they don't even want to go to work."

"I can try." Frisk offered before looking at the puzzle as she started moving the blocks. "I think… maybe… got it."

"Huh, you solved the puzzle?" the monster asked in surprise. "Thanks, does that mean my coworkers and I can go to work now?"

"I… I don't know." Frisk admitted. "Do you know what solving this puzzle does?"

The monster nodded. "Of course, it opens one of the locks in the center room. There's another puzzle nearby that's used for the other lock. Maybe a puzzle expert like you could solve it. Good luck."

Hearing that Frisk nodded and walked back the way she came only to pause when she reached the vents again as she noticed the vent that send her to this side path was alternating which way it blew the air and that there was one to send her back.

After taking a few minutes to learn when the timing for the vent Frisk took a slow breath and stepped onto the one next to her before crying out as she was launched back to the main path only to shudder as she used the original vent to fly to a path on the left.

Slightly shaken from the vents Frisk took a few slow breaths before walking along the path only to pause seeing a blue laser that wasn't moving only for it to immediately turn off.

"Finally! Someone turned off that laser!" cried a monster made of green flames in a schoolgirl uniform. "Now that we're free we can… well, uh, I guess we'll just keep standing here."

Frisk blinked at that. "Huh, but… why? You just said you were free right? Plus… once I see the king and give him my SOUL, you really will be free."

Hearing that the green fire monster and a purple monster in the same uniform turned to her in shock.

"Wait, are you saying… you're a human?" the purple monster asked in shock as Frisk just nodded. "And you're serious about giving your SOUL to King Asgoe? The seventh SOUL we need?"

"It's true." Frisk nodded as she entered the room to see a similar puzzle to the one on the right though the pattern was a bit more complicated. A few minutes passed as she tried to figure out how to arrange the blocks so she could solve the puzzle but eventually she figured it out and walked back to the two schoolgirl monsters. "The door should be open now."

"Then… you're really going to give up your SOUL… so we can be free?" the green flame monster asked as Frisk just softly nodded. "That… wow, I don't know what to say human… thank you."

Frisk nodded quietly before heading back only to notice the door was now open as she took a nervous breath and used the vents to get blown in the direction of the door as she walked through only to see a series of vents with what looked like a robot at the end of them.

"Welcome darling, you must be the human Dr. Alphys mentioned. Be a dear and come over here alright?" the robot requested.

Blinking in confusion Frisk nervously stepped onto the vents only to scream as she was thrown across three in a row before shuddering slightly as the robot rolled over to her. "Wh… who are you?"

"My name is Mettaton darling, the Underground's biggest star." the robot replied. "Although, I could use a small amount of help with some upcoming shows. Do you mind helping while you head to the King's Castle?"

"Oh… well, if you think I can help." Frisk nodded as the robot helped Frisk to the next room.

(Frisk has met the Underground's biggest star, Mettaton, and he has asked for her help with some of his shows. Next chapter Frisk will start helping him as she continues through the Underground to try and reach King Asgore to learn about her sister's fate and give up her SOUL. As always any reviews or critique is appreciated.)
