Chapter 2
Even without looking at the caller ID, Tony Stark already knows who's calling him. It was obvious really, what with the Parkers making it known that they'll be leaving the country and what not. And the one person who has more to lose in this turn of events is,
"Norman! Always a displeasure to hear your cranky voice!"
"STARK! What the hell did you do!?"
Tony smirks and leans back on his chair and props his feet on his desk. "Well as an eccentric billionaire genius who simultaneously works as a pro hero, no small feat mind you, I do so many things in a day. So I am unfortunately forced to ask you what exactly is the hell you think I did?"
He snickers as he hears a growl on the other line, "You know what I'm talking about. Parker! We both know that it's been you who's kept him out of my reach!"
"I'm afraid I can't confirm nor deny you're insinuation that I am secretly protecting our former colleagues child from possible kidnapping and illegal human experimentation. Though it's somewhat concerning that you almost admitted to it."
Norman curses as he realizes his anger almost let him slip something so incriminating, "Let's cut the bullshit Stark. We both know that he's not going to UA because of some tech scholarship, or some latent quirk that just manifested. This is Richard's research finally coming to fruition!"
"No. This is a child. The child of a very good friend of mine. And I'll be damned if I let anything happen to him."
"… Aren't you afraid Stark?"
"Of what?"
"Of failing him, like you failed his father. Does he even know? The reason you started drinking yourself to death?"
Tony's grip on his phone tightens more and more and his breath remains even despite the hammering of his heartbeat. "Be very careful with what you say next."
"Heheheh… does he know you let his father die?"
Tony accidentally cracks the screen from the force of his grip. He closes his eyes and inhales deeply, trying to calm the violent storm of rage swirling in his chest. "… Stay away from him Norman. If you don't then I promise you that I will wage a very public war against you that under no uncertain circumstance do you have a chance of winning, I will scorch the earth of the Osborn name. That is a promise I will NOT fail to go through with!"
He doesn't wait for an answer and hangs up the phone. He leans forward and grips his desk tightly trying to will away the memories of regret. He looks at the bottom left drawer of his des and opens it. Inside is a bottle of Scotch. He takes it in hand and stares. The liquid moves temptatiously in the bottle due to his tremoring in his hands and he closes his eyes whispering to himself, "You don't need it. You don't need it. You don't need it."
In Oscorp, Norman glares at the phone in hand and slams it on his desk. He folds his hands under his chin deep in thought. His assistant nervously approaches him. "How do we proceed Sir?"
"We can't… At least not yet. Stark was smart in getting the boy to move to a whole other country and of all places it had to Japan. Place is festering with those pro hero freaks. We won't be able to touch him there."
"So, that's it?"
"No. We just need to strategize, and maybe see if there's any likeminded individuals we can connect with."
His assistant raises an eyebrow, "In a place 'festering with pro hero freaks?'"
"These larger than life figure cast large shadows, you'd be amazed at what you could find lurking in that darkness."
It has been 9 months since Tony had given Peter the proposition. The choice he, with the strength given to him by his aunt, he had accepted. All that time was spent getting ready, finding a place to stay finding employment for his aunt in another country, and of course learning a new and very difficult language. But now that it's moving day, all the feelings Peter was ignoring come rushing in. This… this was his home. It's where so many memories were made and… it feels like he's losing a part of himself. He shakes his head, come on Peter, you've already made your choice, be a man and deal with it!
"Alright Peter that's the last of the luggage now are you sure you got everything?" May asks as she comes back to the now empty living room.
Peter is holding his carry on, going through the contents and making sure he has everything he needs. "Uhhh yea seems like it!"
"You sure?"
"Yea."
"You got your chargers?"
"Yup!"
"Good, now pop quiz, introduce yourself to me in Japanese!"
"Hello! I'm Peter Parker, I'm from Queens New York and I'm hungry to be here!"
"Happy* to be here." She corrects him.
He slaps his forehead, "Right yea yea, Don't worry I'm getting it! I still fumble my words a bit."
"The good thing is that we at least can read and speak properly. Gotta remember to thank tony for giving is the numbers of those interpreters or else I'd spend the next few years with google translator as my only friend."
Peter laughs and Aunt May again asks,
"You're toothbrush?—"
"Aunt may! Yes I have everything… (sigh) everything." He sadly gazes at the house he grew up in.
May senses his sadness and quickly scoops him into a loving embrace. "Oh sweety, it's nothing to be sad about. Tony promised to keep the house exactly how it is. We'll back here in no time! Just like before!"
Peter looks downcast though, "No. Not like before."
"Oh Peter." She hugs him tighter.
"I miss him Aunt May. I miss him so much!"
"I do too Peter. I really do." She tries to keep the tears from falling.
He doesn't have much luck, "I just wish he was here with us right now."
She uses a finger to lift his chin so that he can meet her eyes, "He is Peter. He's always with us."
He nods and gives her a watery smile before she beckons him to follow her out the house and to the taxi. In no time they find themselves seated on their flight.
"Alright well since it's an 18 hour flight, I'm gonna keep practicing." May says as she pulls out her phone and opens up the app provided to her by her interpreter.
Peter her a look, "Come on Aunt May, it's an 18 hour flight let's just take a nap or watch some movies or something, besides we already spent the last 9 months basically mastering the language."
She looks at him dubiously, "Alright then go ahead and tell me what movies you've downloaded for the flight?"
He stares at her wide-eyed then narrows them, "Challenge accepted! I got Reservoir dogs, the latest chicken of Doctor What!"
" Season not chicken and Who not what." she corrects.
"…Oh."
"That's right oh! Peter you're killing me, you're a smart kid but that won't make a difference if you can't answer a question right in class. You need to practice!" she looks at the gentlemen sitting next to Peter.
"Go ahead and ask him what his name is."
Peter does a double take, "What? No! That's kinda rude!"
"Do it now Peter!" she says sternly.
He sighs and then awkwardly faces the man who is already staring at the teen. Peter clears his throat, "Uh, hi, my name's Peter Parker, how you doing?"
The man leans in a little and says, "Dude… I'm from Detroit."
"oh…. What's up?"
Being in a country wasn't something that Peter expected to happen so soon in his life but that doesn't mean he's not gonna enjoy it. He smiles and marvels at the city they've arrived in, amazed at the architecture and difference of cultures that he's used to. The cab driver just shakes his head as they two become overly excited at simply seeing the signs being in a different language from what they're used to. May takes as many pictures as she can.
"I wonder which pro hero we'll see first." Peter asks.
"Which ones are in the area?"
"Last I checked, the area our apartment is in normally has Mt Lady and Kamui Woods patrolling it so I guess we get to see two newcomers!"
May smiles wistfully as Peter goes on, happy to see his childlike enthusiasm in full display. He ends up talking the entire ride home and he does have the dencency to be a little embarrassed by his excitement.
"Why didn't you tell me I was droning on? The Cabbie literally had smoke coming out of his ears!" he complains.
"You just were so into it, it's always been so adorable how much you've loved superheroes growing up. Huh, what're the chances that your favorite hero ended up taking you under his wing and paying for everything."
"I feel so bad, Mr Stark doesn't have to do any of this."
"Peter if there's one thing your father always said about start is that when he says he'll take care of someone, he'll do so. Trying to get him to not do so is like trying to get the rain to stop."
Peter concedes her point and they both begin unpacking and filling their new apartment. Thankfully May was able to convince Stark into giving them a normal and humble apartment instead of the extravagant penthouse he had already bought for them at the time. As they were unpacking they hear a knock on the door. May, though confused goes to open it and is greeted by a woman who seems to be in her 40's standing to a teenager who had the same shade of green her as her. May could tell from the similarities to their facial structures that they were mother and son.
"Hello! How can I help you?"
The lady and son smile and hold out food, "Hello! My names Inko Midoriya and this is my son Izuku. We saw that you were moving in and wanted to welcome you!"
"H-hi! Welcome to the neighborhood!" Izuku bows respectfully.
May bows back and takes the food graciously, "Why thank you, I know it's not much but you can come in if you'd like."
"Oh we don't mean to impose!"
"Oh nonsense, we might as well get to know each other since we're gonna be seeing a lot of each other anyway!" they share a laugh and the two enter.
"Peter! We have guests!"
The brown haired teen pokes out from his room and comes out and bows awkwardly, "Hi I'm P-Peter Parker nice to meet you!"
"Bout time you got it right." May mumbles.
Peter glares but inko giggles at the exchange.
"Oh do you have trouble speaking Japanese?" the green haired teen blurts out.
Peter blushes in embarrassment and Izuku flails his arms as he backtracks, "I-i-I I'm so sorry! I didn't mean anything by it It was just an observation!"
Peter chuckles, "It's ok, I admit that I'm still learning but I can at least carry a conversation!"
Izuku sweat drops and smiles weakly due to his embarrassment. May takes this moment to cut in, "Peter how about you show young Midoriya your room while Me and Inko chat and get to know each other?"
"Sure, this way."
The pair get to his room and Peter moves some boxes out the way, "Sorry about the mess, we're still moving in."
"You don't have to apologize, w-would you like some help?"
"Uh yea sure, think you can open that box for me?"
Peter points at the box sitting next to Izuku's leg and Izuku opens it up and his eyes widen, "Oh wow! You have the poster with Ironman and All Might! These were limited edition! I heard only 12 of those were made because of copyright issues! How did you get your hands on this?!"
Peter stops in his tracks for just a second, caught off guard by the almost obsessive look in Midoriya's eyes. "I won it at the Stark Expo 8 years! That poster holds a special place in my heart. It was the same expo where a bunch of robots attacked."
The green haired teens eyes widen, "Oh yea I saw videos of that one! Ironman handled all of them so quickly and still had time to finish his speech!"
Peter smiles at the memory, "Yea, I got to see it first hand. Matter a fact he saved my life there too!"
"He did?!"
"Uh Huh! A robot was right in front of me and me being a dumb kid wearing an ironman mask, I raised my hand like as if I was wearing the armor and here comes Ironman himself landing right next to me and blasting the robot to pieces! Before he flew off he said, 'nice shot kid!' and went right back to kicking ass!" The spider powered kid is still buzzing from the excitement.
Izuku's fists are shaking from excitement from the tale, his eyes star struck. "That's incredible! You must really Ironman!"
Peter rubs the back of his head sheepishly, "Well yea, he's my favorite superhero. I know a lot of people like people like All Might or Endeavor. But Ironman, he's one of the few Pro heroes who doesn't have a quirk and yet he's still in the big leagues. He just uses his brains. And growing up quirkless… it made a big difference."
Izuku's taken aback, "Quirkless?"
Peter's eyes widen at his slip, "I-I mean for most of my life I was quirkless but recently it manifested!"
"It did?" H-how is that possible?
Eager to change the subject, Peter asks, "so who's your favorite superhero?"
The light in Izuku's eyes change dramatically, "Uh you ok?"
"All might is my favorite! He's so awesome! He's the coolest!—" Izuku continues going on a huge spiel talking about all Might. Now Peter has never had any problems following along fast talkers, he grew up in New York of places so he's used to it. But Izuku's muttering, that was in a league of its own!
"Uh, Hey Izuku?"
He stops and almost shrinks in on himself, "Oh sorry, I kinda got carried away."
Peter chuckles, "It's fine, I understand your excitement, just slow it down a bit please?"
"Eheh, sorry." He smiles cringy, "But like I was saying. All Might, he's a true hero. No matter what happens he always saves people with a smile on his face. That's-that's what I want to be!"
Peter can see tears forming in his eyes and he's impressed. To be moved so much by this man's actions, it speaks volumes as to the kind of hero this man is and it's admirable how much this boy wants to emulate that. Peter can't help but feel ashamed. Maybe if I was like that, I could've stopped that man. But a question forms in Peters head.
"So are you going to take the entrance exam for UA?"
Izuku stiffens in place, "W-what?"
"Well you said you wanted to be like All Might. I thought that meant that you're gonna try and enroll in UA to be a pro hero."
The green haired teen starts stammering, "W-well y-yes actually I am gonna take the entrance exam! I-I've been practicing and training for it for almost a year!"
"Cool so I'll see you at the exam too!"
Izuku sweat drops, "Huh?"
"Oh uh I guess I didn't mention it, but that's why my aunt and I moved form New York, I'm gonna try and enroll in UA."
Izuku pales a little, "R-Really? What's your quirk?"
"Um, uh well you see I … you know what I think it's better if I show you."
He gestures for Izuku to take a step back and he does so. Peter shuffles for a second before flipping upside down and attaching himself to the ceiling. He looks at the wide eyed Izuku who's staring with his jaw dropped. Peter laughs, exhilarated at having shown someone else his powers, sorry, quirk, after spending so much time keeping it hidden.
"It's pretty weird right?"
"No…no … that's AMAZING! You can stick to walls!"
"It's a little more than that but yea!"
"what do you mean?"
"Let's just say I can do anything a Spider can."
"oohhh so you have spider quirk!"
"I... yea I guess spider quirk… 'swhat I got. So, I showed you mine, let's see yours!"
Izuku starts fumbling again, "i-i-i- c-can't—"
"sorry! Sorry! I didn't mean to put you in the spot like that! You don't have to show me if you don't want to!"
Izuku sighs in relief, but says, "I spent most of my life quirkless too, b-but mine showed up only recently(He lies), so I'm nervous. It's been my dream to go to UA and become a Pro hero, become like All might! What if I fail?"
Peter's heart goes out to him and he pats his back good naturedly, "Come on, you said you want to be like All might right?"
"yea?"
"Does All Might wonder if he can beat a villain terrorizing the city?"
"No!"
"What does he do?"
"He beats them!"
"Exactly! So if you want to be like All might, Then you gotta believe in yourself just like him! Now tell me Izuku, can you make it into UA?"
"Yes, I can!"
"That's the spirit! Just wait, we'll look back and laugh at how worried you were!"
The two shared a big smile, unaware that this was the start of a friendship that would define them both for years to come.
Day of the entrance exam
"Oh, sorry! Pardon me! Scuse me!"
Peter stumbles his way as he guides himself with the map to the UA entrance exam location. Truth be told, thought Mr Stark was gonna use his connections to just have him enrolled but, 'kid it doesn't really work like that, I mean I could do so, but then it'd raise too many questions about why I would push for a kid to go into a prestigious school on the other side of the planet. To which Peter thought, fair point. He's not wrong, and with the potential danger that Osborn poses it was recommended that Peter just say his powers came from his quirk. Still, Peter's excited to do this. He hasn't had his abilities truly tested before, he doesn't know his limits or even the full range of his abilities. And the last year of secrecy has only left him itching for some action.
He finally finds himself in front of the building and a tingling sensation hits the base of his skull and he side steps just as a blonde with spiky hair tries to shoulder check him. He gets a confused look momentarily before it turns into a fierce glare, "Keep outta my way extra! Else I'll kill you!"
Peter watches him go with a raised eyebrow, "Huh, I guess bullies really are everywhere. Something tells me this guy's gonna be as bad as Flash!"
Peter heads towards the building and sees Izuku in the distance… who's about to fall flat on his face. He makes to help but a girl touches him and Izuku, floats? Peter stares dumbfounded as the girl touches her fingers and Izuku lands back on his feet. Oh ok it must be her quirk! That's another thing he's looking forward to. Back in queens, almost all of the students who did have quirks had some that weren't that special, some had the ability to elongate their necks, few just had horns. One kid was able to cry tears of ice but that's about it. Kong was really the only one who had a worthwhile quirk which basically gave him the body of a silver back gorilla, which of course inspired his nickname.
But these students, they're all aiming to get into UA, the best hero school in all of Japan. If they think their quirks are worth using as pro heroes, Oh my inner nerd can't wait to see! Peter heads into the auditorium and sees the only seat available being next to Izuku who waves at him once he sees him, "Hey Peter over here!"
"Thanks for saving a spot for me!"
"Would you nerds shut up already!"
Peter notices the blonde glaring at them. "What's got his panties all up in a bunch?"
"WHAT DID YOU SAY YOU BASTARD?!"
Izuku stops Peter from responding just in time as pro hero Present Mic takes the stage.
"Welcome! Now are you ready to get started?! Let me hear a yeah!" he shouts… only to have nothing but silence in return.
"What a refined response." He grumbles.
Meanwhile Izuku is doing what he does best, fanboying, "Oh my goodness it's the voice hero, Present Mic! Wow it's so cool! I listen to his radio show every day of the week1 It's so crazy that all the teachers here are pro heroes!"
Peter does a double take, "What really? All of them?"
"Will you shut up!"
Izuku flinches but Peter glares at the blonde. Maybe once upon a time, Peter would let someone like flash bully him and he'd just take it, but this time it's gonna be different. They all turn back to Present Mic as he continues explaining the exam.
"As it says in the application requirements, you listeners will be conducting ten-minute mock urban battles after this! You can bring whatever you want with you. After the presentation, you'll head to the specified battle center, okay?"
"In other words, they won't let you work with your friends huh?"
Peter snorts, "You have friends?"
"What did you say?!"
Izuku butts in, "Hey you're right, even though our examinee numbers are consecutive, we're assigned to different battle centers. Except for you and me, Peter."
Peter notices what Izuku is talking about. Where his and Izuku's test location says battle center b, the blonde students test location is battle center A.
"Don't look, I'll kill you!"
Izuku flinches away form the blonde bully and that just makes Peter mad especially when he hears him whisper, "Damn, now I can't crush you!"
"Dude what is your problem!?" he hisses.
They're both shocked at the fact that Peter spoke to him that way but Izuku pleads for Peter to not get 'Kaachan' mad.
"Excuse me! I have a question!" a voice gets their attention.
"On the printout, there are four types of villains. If that is a misprint, then UA, the most prominent school in Japan, should be ashamed of that foolish mistake!"
Peter pinches the bridge of his nose, "Oh great, and we have that student. What other teen stereotypes are gonna pop up today?"
"We examinees are here in this place because we wish to be molded into exemplary heroes. In addition, you over there with the curly hair—" he points at Izuku, "You've been muttering this whole time. It's distracting! If you're here on a pleasure trip, then you should leave immediately!"
Izuku places his hands timidly over his mouth whispering 'I'm sorry.' Peter stops him, "Don't be. Guys acting like a jerk for no reason, if there's anyone who needs to be quiet it's the guy who's trying to call out a whole school."
The green haired boy wears a shocked expression, no one besides All Might and his mother has ever been so kind to him before.
"Ok now, examinee number 7111, thanks for calling it in with your request! The 4th villain is worth 0 points! That guy's just an obstacle we'll be throwing in your way! It's not that it can't be beaten, but there's kind of no point." Present Mic explains.
The bespeckled student thanks the voice hero and finally sits down.
"Now, let's go! Plus Ultra!" Present Mic exclaims. And with that everyone heads out to their designated testing site. Izuku stands at the back of the crowd hyping himself up silently. He sees the other applicants stretching and warming themselves up.
One boy stood up and struck a pose, "Bonjour, it is I!" which makes everyone sweatdrop.
He also sees the girl that saved him from embarrassing himself earlier, taking deep breathes.
'it's her again. I should thank her for catching me earlier.' He's about to walk over to her when the glasses wearing student places a hand on his shoulder.
"Huh?"
"that girl looks like she's trying to concentrate on the trials ahead. Are you trying to distract her and destroy her chances of succeeding?" he asks with a glare.
Izuku stammers, unaware that Peter approaching him wearing red and blue sweat clothes.
"hey lay off him four eyes there's no rules against talking to other students!"
He only gets a narrowed glare and a scoff. Peter glares at his retreating form.
"Peter… why are you so nice to me?"
"Pardon?"
"We've only just met and yet, you've been nicer to me than most people have ever been."
The spider mulls over the question for a minute before finally answering. "I've been in your shoes. I've been bullied and put down all my life and the only thing that ever helped was the small acts of kindness very few people had the decency to show me. I see you and I see me. How could I not do the same?"
Izuku gets teary eyed and gives Peter a hug and suddenly they hear a loud cry, "BEGIN!"
"HUH?!"
"What's wrong? There are no countdowns in a real battle!" Present Mic yells in the loud speakers. Suddenly, everyone started running into the urban area fast.
"Let's go Izuku!" Peter yells and he instantly starts sprinting.
Peter grins as he's finally able to let loose and use his abilities. He runs past many different students and leaps well into the air over the remainders and lands in a crouch on top of a lamppost.
"Ok so the idea is gotta smash as many robots as I can and get points for each. Should be easy… oh who am I kidding I've never actually been in a fight. Scratch that, I've never been in a fight that I've won in."
The tingle returns and he jumps out the way just in time as a robot breaks through the building beside him and obliterates the lamppost he was on.
"Yikes! That was cutting it a little too close." He again gets that tingle and evades another robot behind him.
"Oh spidey sense I love you!"
The robot turns around and stalks closer to Peter who gulps, "Ok, time to fight I guess."
The robot punches down and Peter instinctively dodges to the left, rears a fist back and punches the robot. It shatters into pieces and Peter peeks one eye open, then the other in surprise.
"…Holy shit I did it!"
More robots appear, but now with newfound confidence Peter grins and leaps into action. Dodging and sliding out the way of any attacks while landing wild kicks and punches that unbeknownst to him, are guided by his spider sense, allowing him to hit at just the right areas to cause the most damage. Before he knows it, he's already destroyed 10 robots.
He flips back and laughs like a child on Christmas, "this is actually pretty easy, huh and here I was getting worried about nothi—"
The tingling sensation comes back stronger. Before he can even wonder what it was a giant explosion rocks the area around him. "Whoa!" the building he was attached to starts to crumble and he leaps off large pieces of falling debris before landing on in a safe area.
"What the hell was-" a large shadow covers the area he was standing.
With his spider sense going crazy, Peter gulps and turns slowly, his jaw dropping when he sees the enormous robot appear in the middle of the false city and starts smashing building.
"HOLY SHIT!"
Everyone starts running away from it, Peter included. As he's going he notices one student wearing a flamboyant belt and another female student trip and fall just as the robot swipes the roof off a building and the massive debris goes flying straight to the fallen students. Peter immediately jumps into action and dashes towards the student grabbing under each arm and leaping out the way just as the roof hits the ground. He places them at a safe area and asks,
"Hey are you guys alright!? This is insane! Do they even know that their murder bot is going crazy!"
Peter checks the robots path and sees the girl Izuku was talking to trapped under a boulder and not far from her was Izuku… running towards her?!
He calls out but something amazing happens. Streaks of red lightning surge over Izuku's legs and right arm and he launches himself high into the air. Peter follows his figure dumbfounded as he cocks his fist back, the red lightning becoming more vibrant and shredding his sleeve revealing his muscular arm. He hears Izuku yell, "SMAAAAAAAAAASH!"
And the punch he throws at the gargantuan robot completely obliterates it's head exploding it with a massive shockwave.
"Oh…my …god…"
He couldn't believe that the nice quiet kid had so much, power! If he didn't know any better, he could've sworn he's scene that kind of power somewhere before, he just can't place it. But he throws away those questions as he ntocies soemthings wrong. Izuku's legs and arm are broken and he's plummeting to the ground. Peter springs into action, leaping off debris in an attempt to gain some height,
"Gotta get closer, if I get high enough and time it right I can break his fall without killing us both!"
But as Peter gets closer he realizes he's not gonna make it, "dammit! Wish I had some way to move faster!"
His heart drops as Izuku reaches 20 feet from the ground but then out of no where the girl he saved slaps him in the face. Shockingly, this makes him float in midair and lands safely once she releases her power.
"Wow! That was totally awesome! You caught him right in—"
She throws up.
"… Ew. I mean good job!"
He gets to Izuku and pokes him, "Hey buddy, you still alive?"
He gasps and pushes up, frantically trying to crawl.
"Whoa whoa! Izuku what're you doing!"
"If I can get just one point!—"
"TIME'S UP!"
Izuku lets out a devastated cry before he loses consciousness. Peter's heart breaks as he makes the connection. Izuku gave up his chance to get points by saving that girl. He hears the people talking about Izuku wondering if he was trying to trick them and Peter can't help but clench his fist in anger.
He wasn't trying to trick anyone! He was just doing what he thought was right!while everyone else was running away!
"Wonderful work. You're all heroes in my eyes." The American teenager turns to see an elderly woman wearing a nurse themed superhero costume coming up to everyone and handing out sweets.
"Here have some candy."
She gets to Izuku and smiles warmly, "Your own quirk did this to you, sonny?"
Peter ask her, "Can you help him?"
"Well of course! They don't call me Recovery Girl for nothing!" she then puckers her lips and gives Izuku a smooch on the head.
The belt wearing student starts to explain, "You're watching a school nurse in action. The youthful heroine, Recovery Girl, Her quirk is a tremendous boost to healing power. She's the only reason UA can hold these reckless exams. Looks like she's saving him months of recovery time."
As he's explaining, all of Izuku's limbs return to normal.
"I'd be amazed if I weren't so disgusted by the sound." Peter mumbles as he feel squeamish.
A few days later
"YES! YES I GOT IT! THAT'S RIGHT I OWN YOU!"
Aunt May comes rushing in as Peter is literally leaping off the walls in excitement. "What what happened?"
He back flips and lands in front of her and happily gestures to a wrist mounted device hes wearing. "This! I did it Aunt May!"
"Did what?"
"Ever since the entrance exam I was thinking that something was missing, I could move so much faster with something and then I thought whats a spider without a web and boom! I figured it out! How to make my own web!"
"… You made webs?"
"Yup! Using the little bits of my dads research I could get my hands on I found a project he could never figure out which was a formula for a molecular adhesive. I took a look at it and I totally got it! I already have a few cartidges full and each one can hold hundreds of meters in each one with an unparalleled tensile strength. Honestly I think with a few tweaks I could make a formula that'll even have All Might struggling to get out of!"
May shakes her head in wonder at her boys genius. "So this is all part of the superhero thing now?"
"I mean yea but, I'm also wondering what more I can do with it. Maybe I could sell this formula for industrial purposes."
"Yes I'm sure there's a market in making buildings out of webs."
He smiles, "You never know!"
"Well there's one thing that I do know, it's that you've got mail."
And she hands him an envelope holding with the UA insignia. Peter drops everything and quickly snatches it form her hand. She starts to close the door,
"Let me know what it says!"
Peter makes a clean space for it and takes a deep breath then opens the envelope and a video hologram appears of Tony Stark.
"Hey there Kid!"
"Mr Stark? What're you doing here?"
"Since I'm sure you're wondering, I'm not actually here this is just a pre recorded message."
"Oh."
"As one of the main investors of UA I was able to pull some strings to allow me to give this message to you in All Mights stead, imagine having to hear, I AM HERE!"
Peter snickers knowing that one friend of his would definitely be happy with that.
"But let's cut to it, you my dear friend, did it! You passed the test! You scored high, not as high as I thought you would, but still high enough to land yourself a sure spot in the most prestigious school in this hemisphere."
A breath Peter didn't know he was holding escapes as relief floods him.
"I wanted to let you know that despite me arranging everything for you to come here, your entrance into the school was all you. I saw the footage and let me tell you, you've got potential kid. It's almost like you're a natural like you were born for this. So whatever doubts you have or whatever fears you have, don't let them get in the way of this. You are special and I have no doubt that you'll be one of the greats kid."

"Welcome, to your Hero academia!"
Authors note: And there's chapter 2 done! I hope you're all enjoying this and hope to see you all in the next chapter where we see Peter begin his tenure in UA. And Like i said, Peter is still in danger of whatever Norman is planning but not that he's gonna be in UA, it's gonna take a while before Norman get get close to him but that doens't mean he won't eventually... anyway I'd like to thank everyone who's favorited and followed, I'm honestly surprised my story got this many so quickly! i aim to not disappoint you as i continue! Now to answer the reviews:
OK KO: Yes a version of that scene will happen in my story but I won't reveal when you'll just have to wait and see XD and yes uncle ben dying is what motivates this Peter into being spiderman, Tony will be his mentor though who has a little more to do with the parker family than peter is aware of. and if i've done comic research, i mean yes i have and I'm currently rereading his ultimate comics run since it's been a while and i enjoyed it so much especially since it's my favorite take of a teenage spiderman.
Guest: I haven't decided on a paring just yet though momo is definitely a good choice, to be honest she's in my top 3 choices at the moment, regardless I'm not gonna have them fall for each other right away, i like slow burns and building relationships up so i'll let you all kno what i've chosen but just keep in mind it won't happen right away. also yes that famous line will make it's appearance and i already have planned the perfect scene, in my opinion at least, to use it! stay tuned!
