Chapter 12

"Get those foam fingers in the air! It's almost time for the last round!" Present Mic announces.

The patrons rush to return to their seats, buzzing with anticipation for the final event. Thankfully Peter took some time to read what exactly the last round is about so he wouldn't be as lost as he was prior to the cavalry battle.

"huh, so one-on-one fights? (gulp) I wonder who I'll be fighting."

He pulls on the bottom of his mask for a little more air filtration to help cool him down from the nervous sweat he's working up.

Present Mic continues his announcements, updating the crowd to more information concerning the rest of the students who didn't make the cut, as well as to give everyone ample enough to truly get themselves ready. "Good news for everyone who didn't make the finals! Since this is a sports festival, we prepared some super-fun side games everyone can participate in."

Peter makes a sound as he grimaces, to which Shoji notices, "What's wrong?"

"Oh nothing just, take it from a lifelong nerd, nothings more insulting than a patronizing participation game after losing." He explains.

"Hmm, I see how that can be perceived that way." Shoji concedes, the looks on the faces of the students in Class 1-B clearly backing up Peters claims.

Mineta and Kaminari appear, eyes watering with excitement and in Denki's case, sparks dancing around his body, "Everyone shut up now the best parts about to happen!"

The multi armed student narrows his eyes in suspicion to the two resident perverts of the class. "What did you do?" a stern undertone in his question.

Mineta pays no mind to the threatening nature of his classmate, "My genius has allowed us to witness some of the most spectacular sights known to man, cheerleader uniforms!"

Realization dawns on Peter as he remembers what he had walked into just a few minutes prior and he stifles his smirk, knowing that disappointment will be the only thing gracing Mineta. One of Shoji's arms picks up on the sound of Peter's stifled chuckle and he raises a curious eyebrow. "Oh you'll see, something tells me what's about to happen will be more entertaining for us than them." He whispers.

"We even brought cheerleaders from America to get your blood pumping!"

Mineta rubs his palms together as his eyes widen to the point they could almost pop out his head, "Here it comes!"

Then from the darkness of the tunnel leading into the field… comes a vicious looking Jiro sprinting towards the two, her eyes promising nothing but violence, "YOU IDIOTS!"

Mineta's mouth runs dry as the two stumble back from the look of pure rage but Jiro doesn't let them escape and she brutally shoves her jacks into their ears and crank them for all their worth. The two teens yells helplessly as their eardrums are rattled while the rest of the women in Class 1-A watch in cold satisfaction. The crowd seem to believe it's part of an act apparently and they cheer the spectacle on. Shoji laughs behind his mask with Peter, "You were right, it was much more entertaining for us!"

"Didn't I tell ya? Hahaha!"

The two teens are left a twitching mess as Jiro pants, her anger slowing down and she retracks her earphone jacks, much to the relief of the pair. Mineta raises a hang towards her, his eyes filled with tears, "W-Why?"

"You damn well why you pervert! Aizawa Sensei didn't order for us to wear the cheerleader uniforms, you tricked us so you can feed you sick fantasies!" she growls.

Momo places a calming hand on Jiro's shoulder to rein her in but her disappointment is no less profound. "You two should be ashamed of yourselves! Abusing the trust of your classmates! It's a good thing Parker-kun found us when he did or else we really would've made a fool out of ourselves!"

"…Uh oh."

His spider sense tingles lightly as Denki and Mineta gasp and snap their glaring eyes towards the American student, furious betrayal written all over their expression. They come running at him with the same intensity as Jiro but thankfully Shoji catches them just before they reach him, hanging them in the air as they still struggle to latch onto Peter.

"PARKER-SAN!" "PARKER-SAN!"

He leans away from their touch, "W-What?!"

"How could you betray us!? This would've been perfect but you just had to ruin it for all of us!" Mineta cries.

Peter gives him a deadpanned look, "Somehow I doubt every guy here was begging to see all the girls in cheerleading uniforms!"

"That's because you have no taste! No ambition!"

Denki stops him as he makes a realization, "Wait… Peter that means you saw them! Oh please tell us everything!"

Mineta now begs, "I have to know! Was it as great as I dreamed!?"

"Ok I am NOT going to indulge you with this!"

He begins to walk away but Mineta asks, "At least tell us who looked the best!"

And without wanting, memories of Yaoyorozu comes rushing to the fore front of Peter's mind. Normally he isn't one to leer at a woman, but even he couldn't deny just how good she looked. How the skirt fit her perfectly to show off her amazing legs, her tight midriff was enticing as the shirt fight snug against her chest. Blood rushes to Peter's face as he thinks of her, Momo… so … cute…

A gasp to his left snaps him out of it and it feels like ice was poured down his spine as he sees Momo standing there a hand reaching her mouth, her cheeks pink as she stares unblinkingly at him. Shit I said that outloud! Her mouth flaps open and closed and embarrassment courses through Peter's being and he desperately begs for the earth to just open up and swallow him whole to escape the humiliation.

"I-I-I-I-I didn—I-I didn't mean it! I-I mean I did but but not in some weird way like Mineta-"

"Hey!"

"I-I- Just!"

Jiro appears and protectively pulls Momo back her earphone jacks slithering in the air menacingly. She glares at Peter, "So you too huh Peter!?"

"What?! No! I didn't do anything I just!"

As they walk away Momo is still shocked and embarrassed by Peter's admission. Jiro scoffs, "Can't believe those idiots."

Momo mindlessly nods but she thinks about how Peter had called her cute and how her heart felt like leaping when he said that. And the thought of him looking at her that way…Why does it not bother me? If possible, her blushes gets even more red.

With his protests falling onto deaf ears as Jiro pulls Momo away, Peter sighs, dropping his head into his hands. "Well that was humiliating."

Shoji drops the two and pats Peters back, "Don't worry they'll understand."

"I hope you're right."

The two focus as Midnight takes the stage holding a box labeled lots, "Come closer and draw lots to see whop you're up against. Then enjoy the pleasure of the recreational games before we start!"

Peter gets in line with Sero as Mina asks, "So is it always a one on one fight at the end of each Sports festival?"

"Yea but they're not always the same thing. Like last year's one on one events were fought with foam swords."

"… This feels like an updated school family friendly version of Ancient Rome's Gladiator matches." Peter comments.

Sero agrees, "Though with some of these quirks, 'family friendly' might not be the best way to describe this years events."

The spider powered teen snorts, "You got that right!"

Mina steps closer to Peter and with a sly grin she asks, "So, you really think Momo was that cute huh?"

She laughs silently as the American teen grumbles and buries his face into his hands again, "Wiil you stop laughing, it's not that funny!"

"It really is!"

"No it isn't!"

"Whatever you say lover boy!"

"GRRRR!"

As they slowly make their way to the box, Midnight continues, "The 16 finalists have the option of participating in those activities or sitting out to prepare for battle. I'm sure you all want to conserve your stamina."

Some of the finalists stay behind, mainly Ojiro who along with others, is withdrawing. When questioned why by Iida he replies, "It just wouldn't be right. I barely remember anything from the cavalry battle until the very end of it." He glances at a purple haired student that Peter remembers was called Shinso.

"I… I think it was that guys quirk. I know this is a great opportunity. I wish I could take advantage of it, but my conscious won't let me."

Peter could actually respect that. He felt similar when he was first taking the exams to enter enrollment for UA. Despite Tony Starks insistence that Peter entered with his own merit, he still felt guilty that he only had this chance because of Stark. Some seem to disagree like Toru, Mina, and even Izuku but with great hesitance, Ojiro sticks to his decision. This gives the rest the courage to make the same decision and many of the finalists withdraw. That's not to say that everyone had the same sentiment. And in all, the decision was up to Midnight who looked at each student with sternness. "This sort of talk is incredibly naive my boys…." She snaps her whip, "That turns me on!"

Did she just say that turns her on?! Oh god please don't let May complain to the school!

" Shoda! Ojiro! Kaibara! You're withdrawn!" The rest of the students sweat drop as her statement finally registered for them.

"Now let's see… We'll have to move up three students from the fifth-place cavalry team so we have enough contestants."

The leader of said fifth place team, Kendo, refuses; " We were frozen most of the time. We barely did anything in the cavalry battle." She turns to her teammates, "Isn't that right?"

They all nod in agreement as she continues, "You should chose from the group that kept fighting the whole time. Team Tetsutetsu."

They gasp, shocked by her selfless decision. "Kendo!"

She smiles at Tetsutetsu, "I'm not doing this as a favor. It's just fair."

"Well ain't that heartwarming." Peter whispers, finding the bond between the classmates as wholesome.

"And so, Tetsutetsu, Shiazaki and Kamakiri have advanced to the final!"

Midnight snaps her whip towards the hologram, "Take a look at the bracket my dears! These are your opponents!"

The crowd goes wild as they names appear:

Kirishima vs Tetsutetsu

Kinda seems redundant but hey.

Tokoyami Vs Yaoyorozu

Aoyama Vs Ashido

Midoriya Vs Shinso

Todoroki Vs Sero

Hatsume Vs Iida

Kaminari Vs Shiazaki

Parker Vs Kamakiri

Bakugo Vs Uraraka

"Huh looks like I'm the second figh—BAKUGO VS URARAKA?!"

Peter can hear Uraraka yelp as she sees who her opponent is while Bakugo… is confused. "Uraraka? Who's that?"

Seriously? We're all in the same class and hear our names constantly how do you not know? But then another match up registers in Peter's mind, that makes him all the more nervous. "Hatsume and Iida?!"

Peter scans the crowd and is dismayed to see that's she is already speaking animatedly with Iida. He quickly rushes to them, dodging and saying sorry to anyone he accidentally bumps into. "I have something nice for you!"

"Really? What's tha—"

"Nothing! Nothing she has absolutely nothing but best wishes for the fight you have with her!" Peter states as he pushes Hatsume away.

"Parker-san! That is no way to treat a fellow student, release her at once!" Iida chastises. Peter groans, not even giving Hatsume the satisfaction of seeing her smug smirk.

"Look Iida-san I think it's best that you DON'T accept anything from Hatsume!"

"Oh come now Parker don't be rude, I'm only trying to make things fair for us!" Hatsume explains.

But Peter narrows his eyes in suspicion, "Really because leading up to this Sports Festival all you could talk about was how much you wanted to show off your 'babies' to any company watching!"

Iida stops him before he can continue, "Parker-san that is enough! Now I understand that in America it isn't customary to accept assistance from your opponents in an event but, under the standards of UA that type of sportsmanship is not only allowed but encouraged!"

"Iida please I'm telling you this for your own good—"

"And I am telling you this as your Class Representative! It is shameful to accuse your fellow classmates of having ulterior motives for their kindness!"

Peter throws his hands in the air, "You know what? Sure."

He smiles at Hatsume, "Have fun."

"Oh I will!" She whispers back with a giggle.

They share a knowing grin as he walks away. The students break off to do the side games as the stage is being prepared by Cementoss for the battles. Not really feeling like participating, Peter decides to head back to the tunnel and get to his seat in the class's designated area. Halfway up the stares, a blonde student appears, his eyes looking slightly unhinged. "Umm, excuse me, I just wanna squeeze by to get to my seat."

"Well well if it isn't one of Class 1-A's premier students! What was it again, Pecker?"

"It's Parker."

"Oh, I'm so sorry for my mistake!" Clearly he isn't, "I should've known your name since Class 1-A seems to enjoy the spotlight so much!"

Peter takes a tentative step back, "You ok there buddy? You seem a little… wound up?"

"And why would that be?"

Monoma takes some aggressive steps into Peter's space, despite the teen leaning back from the intrusion. "Do you know what my quirk is?"

"Hmm, copy and paste?"

Monoma's eye twitches, despite his smile staying in place, "Just copy. Which means I can copy anyone's quirk for up to 5 minutes… except yours."

Peter remembers during the cavalry battle, how Monoma touched him and said; 'it didn't work.' Shit, this can't be good! He clears his throat and smirks weakly, "W-well performance issues is not uncommon in men. It's said that 1 in every 5 males will experience—"

"SHUT UP!"

Peter's taken aback by the sudden outburst and the fierceness of the Class 1-B students glare. The glare disappears and is suddenly replaced by a haughty mock laugh, "Oh hohoho! You 1-A students are so full of yourselves aren't you? Such bravado, such arrogance! Always hogging the spotlight and declaring your supposed 'superiority' over the rest of us."

"Actually that was Baku—"

"But I've made it my personal mission to drop you all down a peg to show you who really is the superior student!"

"Don't you mean class?"

"Until now."

"Oh ok, ignore what I'm saying I guess. Again!"

"There is something particularly vexing about you."

Peter shrugs, "I am known to be quite vexing but for the most part everyone considers it to be an endearing quality."

Monoma rolls his eyes and snarls, "Do you ever shut up?!"

"Not when I'm being cornered by a unhinged schoolmate who has a weird Superiority/Inferiority complex. Quite the vexing combo… Get it? … Cause you know you said vexing earlier?"

Monoma teeth clench and he places his palm on his forehead, nearly hyperventilating until the mad grin returns, "I'll be watching Pecker—"

"Parker."

"You're hiding something! And when you slip up, I'll be there to show you who truly is the superior hero."

Moments of tense silence pass by before Peter states, "… In training."

With a snarl Monoma dramatically turns on his heel and leaves. Peter sighs, "Way to go Parker. You always find some ways to make enemies don't you?"

Sighing again he continues his journey to the seats and as soon as he passes the doorway he makes eye contact with Momo. The two stare at each other before she blushes and looks away, Jiro narrows her eyes at him and he gulps and tries to search for a different seat to use. "Hey Parker-San!" Ochaco waves at him.

He leaps to where she's pointing and he sits one space away from her. "Thanks for coming to my rescue!"

"What do you mean?"

"Forget it, where's Midoriya?"

"He went down to the waiting area already, he's in the first match so he guess he needed to hype himself up!" she answers cheerily.

Peter nods but remembers who Uraraka's opponent will be. "Hey about that… How you feeling about, you know, going against the angry Pomeranian there?"

She stiffens and gives him a strained smile, "I-I am absolutely ok! Yup, not nervous at all! It's gonna be a blast!"

"… I'm very sure it will be. But do you want to talk abou—"

"HEY LOOK! Present Mic is about to announce the fight, GO DEKU!"

Peter watches with brow raising amusement, "Yea," he mutters to himself, "not nervous at all."

The crowd goes wild as flames shoot from each corner of the stage Cementoss had finished preparing, wowing the attendants with the spectacle. "Alright ladies and Gentlemen! Let's cut to the good stuff and not delay these finals any longer! Welcome our first fighters!"

A picture of both contestants appear on the hologram Shinso seems to be apathetic while Midoriya is practically curling into himself, visible fear in his face. "Whoa he looks scared in that picture doesn't he?"

Peter drops his shoulders, "Did they really have to use that picture of Izu- I mean Midoriya? It's like they're trying to embarrass him!"

Uraraka flinches a bit but laughs anyway, "It's not that bad, he kinda looks cu—I mean brave!"

Peter grins, "Uh huh. Sure. That's what you were trying to say!"

"Rules are simple, immobilize your opponent or toss them out the ring! You can also win by getting the other person to cry uncle! Bring on the injuries cause we got our very own Recovery Girl waiting on standby! So put your morals aside and don't be afraid to play dirty!" Present Mic explains as the two students make themselves at home in the ring.

Peter is incredulous, "That's a terrible way of explaining this! God if Uncle Ben were here he'd have pulled me out faster than a hummingbirds heartbeat."

"I will have to agree with you Parker-san."

Peter yelps as Iida seemingly appears out of thin air next to him, "How long have you been there?!"

"I've been here the whole time haven't you noticed?"

"No actually. I guess I was so distracted I didn't see you there. Plus you were so still."

"A well behaved student must have complete control of himself as to not disturb the focus of the other students. Now Focus, the match is about to begin!"

"START!"

Peter leans forward, his elbows resting on his knees. At first neither two students move. Though from Peter's perspective, it seemed like Shinso was talking to his green haired friend. Even with his enhanced hearing, he couldn't make out what they were saying, due to a combo of distance and the screaming crowd. But whatever was being said must've riled up Izuku as he started charging at the stoic student. But something weird happened. Out of nowhere, Midoriya stops, standing so still he was like a statue. And Peter was disturbed by how he looked. His eyes, they look so unfocused. Lifeless! Ojiro abruptly groans as he's clutching his hair, "I warned him not to say anything!"

"What do you mean?" Peter asks, his pulse racing faster and faster.

"Do you know why he isn't moving?!" Iida asks.

Ojiro grimly nods, "I told Midoriya about what happened to me during the cavalry battle. Shinso approached me and he asked me a question, then the next thing I know it's the end of the battle. I have no memory of what happened after answering his question. Taking all of that into consideration, I told Midoriya that my guess was that Shinso has the ability to control peoples minds."

"But only when one answers his questions." Peter supplies.

"Exactly."

Peter turns back worriedly to his friend, "This isn't good!" He cups his mouth and shouts, "SNAP OUT OF IT MIDORIYA!"

But Izuku stays in place. Present Mic, who is obviously a commentator, has the same train of thought as Ojiro, "Hitoshi Shinso seems to have Izuku Midoriya completely stunned! Who could've imagined this turn of events!?" His worried demeanor quickly snaps into one of excitement, "That's the festival for ya!" He says with a laugh.

Peter's nerves start to buzz even worse as Shinso says what could only be a demand to walk out of bounds as Izuku turns and slowly walks towards the edge. "Nononononono Izuku No!"

"Oh no Deku what're you doing!? Snap out of it!"

Iida's arms chop in the air frantically, "He can't walk out of the ring, he'll lose the match if he does!"

Peter rolls his eyes, "No shit Sherlock!" he mutters to himself and tries to scream louder to get Izuku to stop. Come on Izuku snap out of it! You're stronger than this! But hope starts to dwindle as the greenette gets closer and closer to the edge. Peter turns to Ojiro,

"Is there anyway to help him?"

The tailed hero in training shakes his head, "No. There's no outside force that can help. Even if there was, we can't help him or else he'll be disqualified."

Peter curses and runs his hand through his hair trying to think. He's biting his nails Midoriya is nearly on the edge when suddenly, he stops. Peters enhanced eyes catch his fingers glowing with his quirk and snapping closed. The resulting wind from the force is strong enough to be felt even from where they're standing. Izuku gulps in air greedily as he catches himself before he reaches the line. The corwd goes wild as he finally broke out of the brainwashing.

"WHAT'S THIS?! Midoriya stopped just in time!" the voice hero exclaims.

Class 1-A joins in the cheers as well,

"That's my boy!" Peter yells.

"That's the way to do it!" Iida says as he throws his fists into the air.

Uraraka sighs in relief, "Whoa, I was about to freak out!"

Peter's whooping falters as he sees the state his fingers are in. Damn, he must've used one for all at 100%, it must've taken everything in him to snap out of it. Peter shudders at the thought of having to face someone with that kind of power, but thankful that Shinso wants to use it for good. Clearly Shinso has never had anyone break out of his mind control if his shock is any indication. He tries to talking but this time, Midoriya is silent, not daring to open his mouth. "HAHA GO GET HIM MIDORIYA!"

Izuku charges forward pushing Shinso closer and closer to the edge, despite the punishing blows Shinso throws to his face and gut, making him bleed. But Izuku fights throw it and he grabs the right hook Shinso throws and judo flips him over his shoulders to the floor. He lands hard, his legs stetched out over the dark gray blocks marking the out of bounds layer. Midngiht smiles and snaps her whip, "Shinso is out of bounds! Midoriya advances to the next match!"

The crowd erupts into even louder applause, cheering for the efforts of both participants. Even Peter is clapping on Shinso's behalf. He tells Iida and Ochaco, "You know, even though I was rooting for Midoriya, gotta say Shinso did his best, I can respect that."

"Very admirable to respect everyone we face even if they're rivals." Iida says with a smile.

Peter's ears pick up Kaminari nudging Bakugo saying, "He pulled that shoulder throw on you before hasn't he?"

"Shut your damn face sparky!"

Peter snorts but hides it, not wanting to get on Bakugo's nerves… yet.

Apparently, Present Mic did not share in their enthusiasm as he yells, "That was kinda a boring first match, but both of you fougth very bravely! Let's show them some love, everyone!"

Peter claps but Uraraka taps his shoulder, "Aren't you the next match?"

"… Oh crap I gotta go down there!"

Peter rushes out the seating area and goes to the stares, taking leaps and bounds to descend while reciting in his head, crapcrapcrapcrapcrapcrapcrapcrapcrapcrap! He finally gets to the first floor and runs down the corridor and nearly runs over Izuku, "Oh hey Midoriya you did awesome! How did you break out of the mind control though?"

"oh uh thanks. I… I'm not really sure. It was weird, I… don't think it was really me." He says, more to himself than to Peter.

Peter is curious as to what exactly his friend meant by that but he hears Present Mic call on Peter and Kamakiri. Peter gets to the edge and gulps.

"Ok. Ok. One on one fight in front of basically the whole world. Alright Parker, you've embarrassed yourself in front of your school before and it haunted you for most of your elementary and middle school career… please don't do it in front of millions of people or you'll never live it down!"

"What's this?" Present Mic asks, "It seems like soemthing's happening to the hologram!"

Confused Peter pokes his head out to see the words, "BREAK A LEG KID!" displayed. Peter's jaw drops and he looks up the stadium and sees Ironman waving at him. He can't but laugh. "Thanks Mr Stark. I'll do my best!"

Up with Tony, he tells Jarvis to relinquish control of the hologram and let the event continue. Mirko raises an unimpressed eyebrow. "You do know you're not supposed to tamper with UA tech right?"

"Oh come on it's just to lift the kids spirits."

"Why not do it to both?"

"W-Well I didn't specify who I meant, maybe the other kid thinks its for him I don't know."

Mirko rolls her eyes, "Idiot."

Back at the stage, Peter stretches his legs and adjusts his mask, grateful that Hatsume was able to include him in her support course technicality to allow certain gadgets to be allowed. Everyone would probably see how close I am to puking if I didn't have this mask on. Peter turns his attention to his green skinned opponent who has pincers on both sides of his cheeks. "So uh, before we get started what was quirk again?"

"You'll find out."

He nods, "Yea I should've figured that would be your answer."

"ARE YOU TWO READY!? BEGIN!"

Peter crouches into a spider like stance, waiting to see what his opponents move would be. Kamakiri narrows his eyes then gets into a defensive stance, long sharp blades protruding out from his forearms. The lenses in his mask widen, "What the- you have claws?! That is so cool!"

Kamakiri starts rushing towards Peter and he gulps, "But not when they're rushing towards me with murderous intent!"

He shoots his webs but his blade wielding opponent slices them to pieces just before they make contact. His spider sense goes crazy as Kamakiri gets closer to Peter than he anticipated and he quickly dodges left and right as the blades are swung with deadly precision.

"You know if you don't make it as a pro, not that you won't I mean this is a hypothetical, you could make a killing opening up your own barbershop!"

Peter dodges another thrust and front flips a good distance away, "But you got a think of a good name, hmm. How about Super Cuts! No wait that's taken."

Peter shoots a web ball at the blade wielder but he cuts it out the air and kicks towards Peter. The queens native redirects the kick, overextending him and hooks his elbow to his neck and throws him over his hip. Kamakiri recovers quickly though as his back is on the ground for less then a second before he rolls out the way of the webs Peter shot to restrain him and he slices towards his mid section. Peter gasps as he sucks it in and dashes back, "Hey hey whoa whoa that's way to close to the family jewels! Ref said no shots below the belt!"

"My bad!"

Peter stops, "Oh wow you apologized? That's actually pretty nice I apprecia- WHOA!"

Kamakiri leaps into the air spinning like a fidget spinner and causing Peter to have to backflip out the way and leap towards the air. He web yanks himself back to the bladed opponent and somersaults out the way of thrust while simultaneously planting a Kick to his chest. Knocking the wind out of him and throwing him skidding across the floor. But his opponent was strong as he plants his blade into the ground, slowing down to a full stop. Peter is already upon him asking, "Hey you know what happens when a fly runs into a web?"

And he repeatedly shoots his webs at the student, leaping over him but never letting up. The class 1-B Student is quick and is able to block a few but eventually he gets completely encased in webs. Peter lands and places his hands on his hips as he admires his handy work. "Something along these lines I suppose."

His spider sense tingles and out of nowhere multiple blades pierce out from his opponents body, tearing the webs to shreds and freeing him. "Holy crap, are you a porcupine?!"

"What?! No I'm not a damn porcupine!"

"Well your quirk is really similar to it cause of all the spikes."

"Since when has porcupines shot metal out there bodies?!"

Peter concedes, "Good point plus I've never seen a green one."

"GRRRRRRR!" he rushes Peter, leaping forward and curling into a ball, the blades causing him to roll like a murderous ball.

"Ok calling you green is a no-no, sorry I didn't mean to say anything offensive!"

He slides out the way, but just before Kamakiri passes him, he kicks out catching him at the side of his ribs and disrupting his roll. He grunts from the pain in his ribs, it wasn't hard enough to break anything but it was a damn good hit!

Peter starts thinking, ok I'm guessing if he wanted to, he'd have hundreds of blades coming out of his entire body but he's not keen on being naked here. He's got some openings that I can work with I just gotta be fast!

This time Peter rushes and he leaps, kicking down at Kamakiri's head, stumbling him. Peter lands and shoots a web near the ground, Pulling himself as he throws a left hook, dazing his opponent.

"Tag you're it no backsies!"

Stunned slightly, Kamakiri throws a wild swipe that Peter dodges by doing a split throw his legs and grabbing his ankle, he lifts him off his feet and back down to the ground. Peter's spider sense tingles and blades appear from kamakiri's ankle but Peter was quick enough to let go in time, but the right side of his midsection gets sliced. He grunts in pain clutching his side. Momentarily distracted, Peter didn't realize that the 1-B student had recovered until his spider sense tingled and he leaned back, parallel to the ground, dodging the bladed round kick that was throw. He gets up and gives a solid punch to his back, throwing the green skinned student off his feet and sliding to a stop. Kamakiri gets up ready for more when suddenly he hears the crack of a whip, "Kamakiri is out of bounds! Parker wins and moves onto the next round!"

"What?" He looks down in confusion and sees that his left foot is indeed outside the bordered stage. He sighs disappointedly, sheathing back the blades protruding from his skin.

Peter walks up to him and offers a hand, "Gotta give it to you, you almost had my tuchus a few times there."

He snorts, "You were taking it easy on me weren't you?"

Peter stammers, "Not necessarily. I always pull my punches cause I could probably kill someone if I cut too loose. Plus I'll be honest I was irrationally afraid that as soon as I made contact you'd activate a blade and cut my hand off."

The green skinned hero in training laughs, "I probably would've."

Peter joins in his laugh with him, "Hehehe… you're uh… you're joking right?"

Authors note: And there we go the start of the final event of the sports festival! Sorry for the wait but i hope you enjoyed the chapter. The next one will be coming out by the end of next week. I might split it into two since i've decided to cover the rest of the Sports Festival or just leave it as one big chapter instead. I guess you'll all know once it comes out and like i said before, Peter will be interning with tony stark which will inevtiablt mean, we'll see what has been going on with the green golbin and what he plans on doing now. Also wanted to let you know that yes, i know that the student PEter faced here was not in the original line up, i decided to add him because i made a bit of a change to how the final rounds will go, you'll see what i mean when it happens but i know you'll like it. also i used the battle spiderman had with a venomized wolverine in Web of shadows as inspiration for this fight. Yes i know Spiderman is very capable of beating him, but PEter always has a habit of holding back, plus he didn't know jsut what the students quirk could do so he was being overly cautious here. OK KO: Yes i do plan on adapting the 2 ha movies, two heroes will be altered heavily though will still have some of the basic plotlines of said movie. madame web will make an appearance but later on in the story.

SpectacuarSpidey: Thank you and thank you for understanding, honestly i'm better at having characters talk to each other than fully detailing events or fights. i normally try to watch fight scene break down videos to figure out the best ways to detail battles without getting boring.

fanalis1995: Thanks lol I've been waiting for the perfect moment to use that particular reference cause when i think of Bakugo and Peter's relationship, vegeta and tien in tfs was what always came up to mind lol. Like Peter said in this chapter, since he's technically apart of the support course, hatsume was able to include him when she appealed to be allowed to use her 'babies' in the Sports Festival. Honestly i've read other fanfics where Peter was able to use his full on iron spider suit and i thought, i guess some normal web shooters should be alright instead.

TheGreatGodzilla: I picutred aunt May to look like she did in the earlier issues of ultimate spiderman, like as if she's in her early fifties who can still kick ass, or in the ultimate comics case, scare JJJ into giving Peter back his job lol. I honestly didn't want her to be super old cause she still needs to appear in my future fic. But when it comes to Mineta, i wouldn't put it past him thinking aunt may is still hot, guy has some issues! When it comes to cooking, i have a gag in mind that you'll see after the sprts festival that'll answer your question. Also anythign concerning Peter's first date with momo will be revealed when the time comes. You are right in the fact that the Avengers normally fight big threats, street level guys like spidey and daredevil take care of smaller threats like petty crooks. If anything the defenders areprobalby the go to when it coems to that cause they normally consist of the street level heroes. To be honest, i don't know ay of those scientists. What i had in mind where scientists like in the comics or the anime. The only scientists i know in real life are elon musk and Doc brown, who is of course fictional, still thats all very interesting. and yea Peter will definitely be an intentional and unintentional foil to many of Mineta's schemes (as he should). I think all for one did, because hwen i rewatched some episodes, All mgiht stated how All for one had started working from the shahows since the beginning and started to rule in secret and then his sick brother was apalled by his actions and was then forced a quirk onto him which lead to the creation fo one for all. and to be honest, it's not the first time heroes don't realzie theres a big criminal empire under there nose.s Like captain america not knowing shield was taken over by hydra, or how the x men didn't know that onslaught was a manifestation of Professor X's darkside until it's too late. I jsut considered it a normal 'heroes don't realize somethings wrong until it's almost too late but they still find a way to save the day'. All for ones thinking is similar to that of a quote in the show narocs. One cartel said that Pablos cartel was too noisy and rew too much attention and that's why their cartel was steadily getting stronger, because attention wasn't on them and they had more finesse which allowed their reach to grow farther. Besides, war is useful to people seeking power. Thanks again and i am doing better!

Ian05: Eh it didn't come up in the conversation, though Peter will get more curious as time goes on. The chitauri invasion did happen in this continuity, but more like that of the invasion in the 2006 ultimate avengers animated movie, those chitauri were much more badass in my opinion. Obviously certain characters like ironman were not included though.
