Before starting the chapter, I want to say my opinion on the latest scans of One Piece.
First, chapter 1058: Honestly, I have nothing to say. The appearance of the Cross Guild members was good. Buggy played his clown role well and the others were badass. Plus, Robin finally got the bounty she deserves (800 million at once.) It was cool. On the other hand, I wonder if Franky's poster is a joke or an element in the future. (I can understand the joke with his robot...however, if it's still the same joke, it's much less fun with the Sunny. )
But before that, there was the 1057 scan, and that's where I start to get scared. Like I said before, I'm afraid that Oda is trying to rush to finish One Piece, and because of that, he doesn't seem to think enough about all the details. Honestly, I think at the end of Chapter 1056, he really wanted Yamato to join Luffy. But, when he did chapter 1057, I believe he had a new idea. (and this is the only reason that could explain the inconsistency between the two chapters.) I, honestly, always thought that Yamato was going to leave the island, but only to become the eighth captain of Luffy's armada, and command Kaido's former men that Chopper rescued and Tama was able to tame. However, Oda's explanation that Yamato wants to visit Wano Island... it's ridiculous.
And I really hope it's not the first mistake in a long sequence that will be produced because Oda wants to finish his work as quickly as possible. Oda, please, after 25 years of wonderful work, don't rush the ending of One Piece.
Trembling in fear, Moda hid behind Reiner, while the blond stared at Enel. Completely ignoring him, the island god just stared at Marco, declaring.
"You are going to tell me how you managed to come here without me being able to spot you."
Then, seeming to pick up other presences, the man began to growl. Thus, he could see Zoro fighting against Tres, while one of his pokemons had just collapsed in front of Suzuka.
" Tssssss ! "
Seeing that he felt the presence of his comrades, Marco understood that the camouflage granted by Widos had just disappeared.
"As he told us, it only lasted two hours! We thought that would have been enough to fight off Enel's allies."
Seeing that he had no choice, he grabbed his two blades, before affirming.
"Like if I was going to answer you! If I'm here, it's for..."
He fell silent the very moment Enel glared at him. Screaming in agony, Marco was quickly defeated and dropped his weapons, before collapsing to the ground.
"MARCO!" Shouted Reiner.
"Huh?" Enel wondered, picking his ear. "What a strange reaction from you! From what I understand, you are enemies."
"Motherfucker." Reiner roared, running towards him.
Nevertheless, Enel suddenly disappeared. Then, Reiner froze as he felt the god's feet land on his shoulders.
"In the end, whatever reason this duo managed to come here without me knowing, they were just weaklings."
Then, he let the end of the handle of his trident hit the top of Reiner's head, knocking him to the ground. Landing gracefully on the ground, Enel looked frustrated to see him fall so easily.
"You too are worthless."
Then, turning, he began to walk towards Moda. Her body completely paralyzed, the young woman was unable to escape. Finding himself in front of her, Enel delicately put his hand under her chin and made her raise her head. Seeing the terror in her eyes, as she chattered her teeth, Enel seemed surprised to see her terrorizing.
"I wonder why everyone thinks of me as a monster! Yet I keep repeating that I am a very merciful person! What do you think?"
Moda was unable to answer him. Yet, not seeming to expect an answer from her, Enel eventually pulls away from her, all while declaring.
"I have some business to take care of! Since I'm nice, I'll give you a chance."
Then, the moment Moda fell to her knees, the god turned into lightning, before vanishing.
Hearing a moan, Gedatsu turned to see Chopper getting up. The bloody face, the poor reindeer was in bad shape, while the prelate had perfectly managed to show the gap of their power.
"Did you get up?" The man wondered. "You're even dumber than me."
In response, knowing full well that he had to beat him to have a chance of surviving, Chopper faced him, before joining his hooves in front of him.
" SCOPE !"
" Huh ? "
"His weak point! I have to find his weak point."
"Tsss! You're ridiculous! Hey, have one of you get me off that tanuki."
Losing their interest in Jango, Weezing and Muk turned to him. Finally, since Jango was still crushed under Muk's body, it was the second pokemon that volunteered.
Weezing use TACKLE.
Getting hit, Chopper felt his feet leave the ground, before hitting a wall. However, as soon as the pokemon retreated, it got up, before returning to his initial position.
"S…SCOPE." He cried, despite feeling more fresh blood running down his forehead.
Weezing use SLUDGE BOMB.
This time, a cloud of toxic mud sphere hit Chopper. Getting hit for long seconds, the reindeer clenched his teeth as his feet slid back. Still, he managed to keep his hooves sticking together.
"His weak point! His weak point."
However, he eventually disappeared in a rain of attack and an explosion ejected him backwards, before knocking him to the ground.
"Tssss! Why are you behaving so stupidly?" Gedatsu growled. "Be a man and face death."
Then he pretended to leave.
" Kill them. "
"Muk." assured the pokemon, preparing to asphyxiate Jango inside his body.
However, the mud pokemon was startled when he saw a chakram begin to swing in front of him.
" Muk ? "
"When I would say" 1! 2! Jango! ", you will consider me your ally! ONE! TWO..."
MUK use SLUDGE BOMB.
" JANGO ! "
A the moment Muk was about to finish attacked him, he froze, his cheeks puffy. Then the pair stood completely still. Eventually, even though he wasn't sure of the outcome of his hypnosis, Jango pointed his finger at Weezing.
"ATTACK IT!"
Remaining motionless at first, Muk ends up staring at his former ally, before spitting the mud bombs on him. Startled, Weezing was bombarded and his body was ejected backwards.
"Huh?" Gedatsu wondered, turning around.
Startled, he saw Weezing's body fly towards him before being violently rammed. Seeing the duo collapse on the ground, Jango took advantage that Muk stopped crushing him to get up and run towards Fullbody.
Still with his upper body trapped inside the purple cloud, the soldier had stopped moving.
"Partner...I'm here." Jango assured, grabbing his feet.
Pulling him, Jango managed to pull him out of the cloud. His face soaked, Fullbody looked like he had just lost consciousness by drowning under water.
"Hey, breathe." Jango shouted, punching him in the abdomen.
Immediately, Fullbody's eyes flew open, as he spat out a large amount of water.
Muk use BODY SLAM.
Leaping into the air, the pokemon attempted to crush his former allies. However, throwing Weezing aside, Gedatsu glared at him, before using his dials to launch himself into the air. Then, dodging the pokemon's body, he found himself on top of him, before hitting him.
" JET PUNCH ! "
Even though the punch didn't do much damage to the pokemon, Muk felt himself being thrown down and crashed to the ground. Landing near him, Gedatsu was about to hit him again. However, he saw Muk display a surprised look, looking around him.
Then, the pokemon turned to Jango, while he showed that he was no longer hypnotized.
"Mom..." Jango said, feeling snot dripping from his nose.
"KILL HIM!" Gedatsu ordered.
Immediately, Weezing and Muk rushed towards Jango, ready to kill him.
Muk use SLUDGE BOMB.
Immediately projectiles hit the ground in front of Jango, creating a huge cloud of smoke. Taking advantage, Weezing passed through the smoke, before appearing in front of Jango.
Weezing use TACKLE.
" AHHHHHH ! " Jango screamed.
However, before they could touch him, the pokemon felt a brass knuckles hit the center of his face and eject him back.
"WEEEEEEEZZZZZIIINNNNNNNGGG!" he shouted, before crashing into a wall.
"What?" Gedatsu wondered.
Suddenly, twirling his arm, Jango twirled about ten chakrams that were around his arm, before throwing them with a quick swing of his arm.
"TEN BLADES'S DESTINY ! "
Emerging from the smoke, the chakrams flew towards Muk before slashing him.
"MUUUUKKKKKK!" He yelled, as the blades managed to lacerate his body.
"What does that mean?" Gedatsu shouted, seeing him fall to the ground.
At that moment, a hand grabbed his foot. And, looking down, he saw Chopper's bleeding body, clutching his foot.
"You again?"
"Earlier..." Chopper muttered. "Earlier, you called me a tanuki."
" What ? "
"I'm not a tanuki." Chopper asserted, raising his head slightly. "I'm Chopper! Monkey D. Luffy's crew medic! No matter where they are or what they're doing, it's always my duty never to disgrace my captain. So no matter how hard you try to hitting me, suffocating me in your clouds, or killing me with your pokemons...I'll always rise up to fight you."
" JET PUNCH ! "
Hearing another explosion, Fullbody and Jango turned to see Gedatsu hitting Chopper.
" Tanuki ... "
"He won't be a problem for me anymore." Gedatsu assured.
Then, he turned to the pair of soldiers.
"And neither do you. MILKY DIAL!"
Frightened, the duo saw Gedatsu rise in the air, before reaching out his arms to the sky.
"I'm going to drown you! And this time, you won't have a chance of surviving. NIMBUS BURGER!"
" No, not that. "
However, before he could launch his attack, Gedatsu was surprised to lose his sense of balance and was unable to fly straight.
"What's going on?" He asked, looking at his thrusters.
At that moment, he cried out in surprise, noticing that he had lost the shoe on his right foot, which was the same that Chopper had managed to grab onto.
"My thruster?"
Then, he saw a silhouette jump in his direction.
"I'm a man." Chopper assured, in his ARM POINT form. "ROSEO..."
"Grrr! You're just a stupid animal! JET PUN..."
Spitting blood, he felt a chakram macerate his left side. He had lost his concentration so much that he hadn't even expected that Jango would take advantage of his unfavorable position to attack him.
"It's our little present." The hypnotist assured.
" BASTARD ! " Gedatsu roared.
However, he forgot who was the person he should be most wary of.
" CROSS ! "
Hit in the abdomen, Gedatsu spat blood, as a huge cross-shaped hoof mark could be seen where Chopper had managed to ram him. Then, both collapsing, the pair crashed to the ground.
Seeing them fall, Jango and Fullbody saw Chopper crash into a building, which was half-destroyed upon impact.
"TANUKI!" they shouted, running towards him.
Arriving at the top of the pile of rubble, they saw Chopper on the ground, while he had regained his chibi form. Barely enough energy to remain confident, he was able to assert nonetheless.
"I am a pirate who is not afraid of anyone."
Nevertheless, no enemy was out to hear him, while Gedatsu and his pokemons had already been defeated. Noting this, Jango sat down on the ground, all the while asserting.
"Pffff! I really thought we were going to die."
"One moment." Fullbody retorted, looking around. "Where did this guy land?"
Finally, he could see Gedatsu's legs, while the rest of his body was buried in one of his own swamps.
"That fool...has he self-trapped?"
"Is he going to die?" Jango asked.
To answer his question, Gedatsu's remaining thruster suddenly activated and drove him further inside the swamp, until he disappeared into it.
"Huh?" The duo wondered.
"What? What happened?" Chopper asked, unable to get up.
"Honestly, we can't answer you."
"Huh?" Enel wondered.
Walking around the center of Upper Yard, he felt someone's aura disappear.
"So Ladydevimon was right! Gedatsu was the first to lose! Like what, power is useless if the brain is not there to command."
Then, a wicked smile appeared, as he felt someone moving at full speed.
"And that woman has already left the shrine to go fight! Guess I can let her have some fun! I just hope she leaves me some survivors! Otherwise my game wouldn't be fun."
Suddenly he frowned.
"Geez, there are a lot of intruders on this island."
Facing him, Norland and Kalgara only drew their weapons.
"I'm a pacifist," Norland assured. "If you decide to leave this island, you can leave alive."
"I want to kill you for what you did to my home island." Kalgara roared.
"A shandian?" Enel wondered.
Simply shrugging his shoulders, he affirmed.
"One more or one less, I don't see the difference."
"I'll show it to you." Kalgara roared, running towards him.
"Baka." Enel sneered, letting himself be covered in lightning.
" VARI ! "
Immediately, Kalagara saw the lightning attack hurtling in his direction. However, stepping in front of him, Norland struck the attack with his sword, and managed to send him to the side.
"Huh?" Enel wondered, seeing his lightning deflected by Norland's sword.
Having covered it in haki, Norland affirmed.
"You may be using Kenbunshoku haki, but I know how to use Busoshoku haki."
" Haki ? "
"Hina is not happy."
" Oh, really ? "
Staring at the captain with a mischievous smile, Ladydevimon held a soldier by his throat, before tossing him aside.
"Your toys are really too fragile." The digimon affirmed, while other soldiers were at her feet.
For all answer, Hina shoved her cigarette on the ground, before pulling her gloves.
"Hina wanted to find Smoker! But it seems I have to take care of you."
"HAHAHA! Humans definitely have a sense of humor."
" AWASE BAORI ! "
Stretching her arms towards the digimon, Hina made the bars of an enormous cage appear, before closing them around Ladydevimon. Understanding what she was planning to do, the digimon jumped in the air, before flying away to avoid getting caught.
Then, crossing her arms, she then opened them to create a swarm of bats.
" DARKNESS WAVE ! "
Unable to defend against this attack, Hina held her arms out in front of her face, as the creatures slammed into her, biting her all at once. Gritting her teeth, the woman tried to withstand the attack. However, preventing her from seeing around her, the bats allowed Ladydevimon to fly up to her before attacking her.
Spitting blood, Hina felt a sharp pain in her abdomen, while the end of a spear had just pierced her. Disappearing, the bats allowed Hina to see Ladydevimon in front of her, with her arm transforming into a spear.
"And here is a magnificent skewer."
Feeling her sight blurred, Hina almost fell, while her legs shook. However, clenching her fist, she ended up directing her arm towards the digimon and took advantage that it was right in front of her. Nevertheless, anticipating her gesture, the digimon raised one of her fingers. And the next second, another blade pierced Hina's body.
Startled, she turned around and noticed that her shadow had risen and taken the form of Ladydevimon. And, the arm in the shape of a spear, the shadow had also pierced her.
"DARKNESS SHADOW!" Ladydevimon affirmed. "Since I've been here, I've had time to learn some techniques, waiting for the day to come when I can take my revenge."
Wanting to curse her, Hina didn't have the strength to stay conscious and ended up collapsing on the ground. Letting her shadow return to its original form, Ladydevimon then crushed Hina's face under her boot, before declaring.
"You are pitiful."
Arriving finally, at the top of the temple, Vivi saw an entrance to enter inside the building. Entering it carefully, she saw Shinichi at the edge of a hole, while he grabbed a cloud cube, before throwing it on other cubes.
"What the...?" Vivi wondered, approaching the hole with Carue.
Kneeling, Robin was slicing through the clouds with a knife and forming blocks which Shinichi removed to keep them from interfering with the girl's work.
"What are you doing?" Vivi asked.
" We are going to find the city that was eaten by this island. " Shinichi assured.
" Eaten ? "
At that instant, they heard Robin's voice affirm.
"There is a lower level."
Leaning down, Shinichi and Vivi saw light shooting from a gap in the floor.
" Light ? "
"Exactly what I thought." Shinichi assured as he descended cautiously.
Then, seeing them cut through the ground, Vivi saw part of the cloud fall to crash several meters below. Sticking her head in the hole, Robin saw a much larger place than the outside of the temple would have led her to believe.
"That's right! I would say that only half of the temple can be seen from the outside! The rest is hidden under the clouds."
"How is that possible?" Vivi asked.
"This city must have been built in a natural basin." Robin affirmed.
" A natural basin ? "
" You can compare it to a huge hole. " Shinichi affirmed. "The most important thing to understand is that this city was built a few meters below sea level! As a result, when this island was thrown into the sky, a layer of clouds was trapped in this tank and was unable to get out of it."
"And because of that, the lower part of the city was hidden." Robin confirmed.
"What if she was hidden from the gaze of the gods..." Shinichi began.
"So what we're looking for might be down there." Robin finished.
Then the two began to descend. Again, Vivi couldn't help but be impressed by their intelligence.
"I really feel like an idiot."
"QUA!" Approved Carue, who felt the same way.
Grand Line
"It must be here." Buggy asserted.
Staring at a treasure map, he finally looked at an island that could be made out in the distance.
"The legendary treasure we seek is here! I'm certain of it."
Nevertheless, almost immediately, comments were heard behind his back.
"Hasn't he told us that already?"
"Oh...only five or six times."
"I really feel like we're visiting the Grand Line islands rather than looking for treasure."
"This clown is a real bad luck charm."
"I never should have joined him."
" Buggy, yous is a looser. "
"Grrrrr! SHUT UP!" The crew captain roared, turning to the long couch where his crew commanders were seated. "I'm your captain! And without me, you won't even be able to survive."
"We ensure your survival, moron." Alvida retorted.
"This treasure quest is getting ridiculous." Zala assured.
" Besides, nothing tells us that this treasure really exists. " Affirmed Willy. "How many people do you think tried to find Captain John's treasure?"
" Precisely, if this treasure has not been found, it is because it is intended for me. " Buggy assured.
Immediately, the others started laughing at him.
"Sometimes I wonder if you're stupid or if this is a trick to make your enemies underestimate you." Morgan affirmed.
"No, he's a moron." Kuro assured.
"Buggy…do you really think someone, like an angel, is going to fall from the sky and come to you to help you reach that treasure?" Alvida questioned.
"Hey! I'm not letting you..."
Suddenly, raising her face Megumin asked.
" What is that ? "
" Huh? " The rest of the crew wondered, imitating her.
At that instant the sky darkened, while an enormous cloud had just covered the whole sky.
"A celestial island." Assured Magi.
"Tsss! Looks like it's dark." Buggy growled.
Suddenly, his eyes widened as he saw a figure falling from the sky.
" What ? "
passed out, Gedatsu's body fell towards the ocean, before violently hitting the surface of the water.
"WHAT?" wondered the crew.
" What was that ? "
"Was it a man?"
"No…it was…an angel."
