Jumping to dodge huge blades that erupted from the ground, Cavendish finding himself in the path of a submachine gun, which fired several bullets into his back. Turning in extremis, Cavendish used his sword to block the projectiles.

Unfortunately, he gasped the moment Kamy's metal staff slammed into his sides, knocking him into a wall. Spitting drool, Cavendish then fell onto his ass, as Kamy faced him.

Standing still and still not seeming to feel any pain from her wound caused by Cavendish, Kamy continued to put on a stoic face. Using her powers perfectly, she carefully watched each trap activate, to move into a safe area.

So, while she stood still, a huge pillar left the ceiling and crushed part of the floor, which was a few inches from Kamy. The maid didn't even blink.

"Cavendish-san, have you finally decided that I'll give you a quick death?"

Trying to smile at her, Cavendish retorted.

"Don't you realize that would be your worst mistake? If you kill me, imagine how many women will come to you to avenge me."

"You're a fun person." Kamy affirmed, with a small smile. "I hope your humor will be appreciated as much in the afterlife."

Then, the end of her weapon struck Cavendish's abdomen, and touched his wound. Spitting blood, the blond then felt the weapon hit the side of his face and ejected him further down the hall.

Completely stunned, he remained on the ground, while he found himself under a new trap. Indeed, a new hole in the ceiling formed and a vat of acid appeared above the pirate.

" Cavendish-san, know that I was honored to meet you. " Kamy affirmed, seeing him remain on the ground. "And in all honesty, your face wasn't unpleasant to look at! If you weren't a pirate, maybe I would have agreed to have a drink with you."

Then the vat lowered and emptied its corrosive contents onto Cavendish's body.

"Goodbye." Kamy said, turning to leave.

Immediately, she heard the acid hit its target and crackling noises were heard. Yet Kamy immediately froze and her eyes widened. By dint of helping Hyou kill people, she had gotten used to hearing certain specific noises.

But the crackling sounds she heard weren't acid eating away at a body. Turning immediately, Kamy couldn't hide her surprise as the acid melted the floorboards. There was not the slightest trace of Cavendish's body.

" What does it mean ? "

Suddenly, like a draft, a figure hit one of the traps in the hallway, cutting it in half. Surprised, Kamy looking in that direction. But immediately, a submachine gun also got cut in half, just like one of the pillars that had fallen from the ceiling.

Unable to understand what was happening, the maid jumped in fear, seeing a huge gash appear on a wall, right next to her. It looked like someone had created it with a sword.

Beginning to panic, Kamy looked around, only to see traps being cut by that devastating gust of wind. Then, finally, when all the traps were destroyed, Kamy saw a figure in front of her.

"Ca...Cavendish-san?" She wondered, as the blond turned his back to her.

Hearing her voice, the pirate remained motionless for a few moments. And finally, he decided to turn to her. Immediately, Kamy felt shivers run through her entire body, as if staring at death.

n fact, the pirate's face was so terrifying that the maid wondered if the man in front of her was really Cavendish.

Eventually, the pirate disappeared again. However, prepared for him to repeat the feat from earlier, Kamy let his eyes turn blue and slowed his vision. It wasn't long before she spotted Cavendish running towards her, with his saber raised. His enhanced vision allowed him to perfectly see his every move.

And yet, Kamy was terrified. She could see Cavendish. She could foresee what he was going to do. Still, she couldn't do anything against him. Cavendish's body, even though Kamy saw it move in slow motion, it seemed to be as fast as the wind. He was so fast that, even though she could predict his every move, Kamy was unable to move her own body fast enough to get into a defensive position.

to her horror, she saw Cavendish coming toward him in slow motion, unable to protect himself. And the closer Cavendish got to her, the more Kammy felt his demonic aura around him. And finally, she understood.

The man in front of her...it wasn't Cavendish. It was ...

" ... a demon. "

That was all she could mutter, before Cavendish found himself behind her. And immediately, even though she felt no pain, Kamy felt herself vomiting blood, while a deep wound appeared on her abdomen.

And behind her, Cavendish smiled cruelly, with his sword covered in blood. Unfortunately, not having had enough fun, he turned to Kamy, who had remained standing. Then, again, he disappeared.

Then falling heavily to the ground, he put his hand on his aching face, while blood began to flow.

Wanting an answer, he looked in Ace's direction, before widening his eyes.

Running towards the exit of the secret passage, which led to a cave, Isuka suddenly flattened herself against a wall, while several explosions were heard. Passing near her, several bullets almost caused her death.

"Come out of your hiding place." Hyou ordered, facing the cave exit. "If you decide to come here, and kneel before me, I promise you a quick death! It's the best treatment criminals like you can receive."

"Hyou…I'm not a criminal." Isuka retorted. "My name is Isuka, and I'm a Navy lieutenant."

"So what?" Asked the old man. "Whether you're a pirate or a soldier makes no difference! If you're here, it's because you've committed crimes and I have to kill you."

"So what?" Hyou roared. "If this is the price to pay, I am ready to sell my soul to the devil, in order to make a pact with him! Thus, I would have the same powers as these demons and I would become a real hunter of demons. "

" You are becoming a monster. " Isuka retorted.

"It's the pirates and the incompetence of the Navy who are responsible." Hyou assured.

"Snake?" Isuka wondered.

"How did you get here?" Hyou roared. " Where is Kamy-chan ? "

"Cavendish wanted to fight her alone, so I came here to make sure my ally was doing okay! And I feel like I did the right thing to come and help him."

Seeing him continue to twirl his two weapons in his hands, Isuka thought he recognized the two revolvers.

"These weapons...these are..."

"Now that Cordio can't use them anymore, I figured he wouldn't mind my keeping them." The former scientist affirmed. "I admit to liking to pick up everything that I find interesting."

" Busoshoku haki? " Hyou wondered. "Is that how you survived? Did you know how to handle it?"

"No." Snake confessed. "But thanks to my devil fruit, I just had to touch the right person, to get this power."

Smiling then, he declared.

"I hope Nodeath knows all of Portgas-san's powers."

Looking at Ace, Nodeath roared in rage, while the pirate's arms were covered in Busoshoku haki.

" You're not the only one who knows how to handle it. " Ace affirmed, displaying a smile. "Sorry to disappoint you, but just being able to neutralize my flames isn't enough to render me harmless."

"Tssss! So what? I don't see any difference."

Also covering his arms with his haki, Nodeath asserted.

"In a place like this, you're weakened! And with or without the haki to defend yourself, you're no match for me."

"How about you stop talking to make sure?"

A second later, the two men propelled themselves forward and a shock wave occurred as their fists collided.
