Chapter 94: Selfishness (Part 1).

Lori Santiago had gone insane.

No, really, literally, she was insane, she couldn't believe what she was even doing right now.

It felt like a really bad parody, a true comedy in a sense, she might as well just do what Lincoln usually does when he seems to talk to the void, as if there was an audience.

Yeah, she could just say: "Yep, that's me, now, you're probably wondering how I ended up in this situation".

She could almost laugh at herself, as she had long ago ignored to pull the breaks, the only command that she remembered right now was "accelerate".

And so, she did, she pushed her little car to the limits, traveling back and forth between the hotel room that she was staying in and a luxurious apartment in the middle of nowhere, was it Sandy Farts? Who cares?

She didn't, she hadn't seen her kids and her husband in quite awhile, she hadn't been able to answer him either, she was beyond the point of caring for anything other than imagining if he would lose his patience at any moment and sent her a dreaded ultimatum, specially after the ever obnoxious report by Katherine Mulligan.

"Never meet your heroes in person, they said, the tragic case of a protective brother that turned out to be the real monster"

She remembered the headline, in all it's mighty distasteful glory, and she knew what it would mean for her husband to realize what it meant, but it was probably too late.

Now… she could only focus on the task that she had imposed for herself, as per ordered by the court.

… How could she have been so foolish?

But she had to admit, that she was at least glad that Luan Loud had been even more idiotic, she probably thought the court system in the US worked like in one of those video games, "Phoenix Right: Savvy Attorney", was it?

Lincoln Loud had been arrested under suspicion of first degree criminal sexual misconduct, a felony of the highest level that would pretty much guarantee no parole and no pre-trial bond.

That is… under definitive evidence.

But when she discussed the arrangement, she was easily able to confirm that the charges had no verifiable back up, other than an "uproar" reported on the 1216 Franklin Avenue address and the usage of words such as "Child rapist" being heard clearly before the intervention by the cops.

From her own mouth no less

Regardless, she was notified that Luan did indeed possess damming evidence, but she was apparently waiting for the trial itself to reveal it, something about "never showing your hand too early".

What an obnoxious idiot…

But it didn't matter, a modicum of evidence was now in the hands of a proper prosecutor, and Lincoln…

He was free… Under certain conditions.

Lori sighed, she was currently heading her way to that apartment, partly, to check the state of the goods and advice the owner of their legal status.

And partly, to monitor said owner, making sure that he'll still be there.

The lawyer and professional golfer reviewed the information in her head, as she was painfully aware at just how demolishing of a "job" this was going to be.

The white haired moron refused to talk to a defense attorney capable of taking his case, so of course, the procedure to "bail him out" depended on her.

That also meant… that she would be the legal bail monitor, making sure that the conditions instated by the court were to remain in place:

Lincoln Loud was hereby prohibited from visiting Royal Woods or contacting the alleged victim, Lola Loud.

And thus, a back and forth routine begun…

The road wasn't that long, Lori was now entering the dreaded apartment with her own set of keys, as ordered by the court, expecting to just find that jewel of a brother "arranging" his liver with booze.

He had about 20 days left, or so she estimated, considering what it usually takes to prepare a trial, maybe it was enough time for her to at least make him wake the fuck up and seek legal counseling from a lawyer willing to take the case.

Or maybe not, why would she care so much for an abusive pedophile anyway!?

She elicited an audible sigh, and entered the luxurious place.

And, what a surprise, sounds coming from upstairs, apparently her brother had a visit.

So obviously, it was her responsibility to ensure that it wasn't Lola.

She made her way upstairs, making sure that she was making as little noise as possible, so that she could properly catch them.

She was in front of the door, and made the decision to simply place her ear in it, without opening it, so as to clearly distinguish the source of the muffled voices.

- Damn, I forgot about this song, been awhile since I last heard Smooch - Said the white haired man with a relaxed disposition, laying comfortably in his bed with an earphone inserted in right ear, as the sister laying on the other side continued browsing through her phone for other cool jams, using the other available earphone herself.

- Yeh, I remember we used to hear that one a lot, you even started playin' the drums on your legs while jamming it and that gave me an awesome idea for a song - Luna admitted while placing her arms behind her head, playing with her boots to the rhythm of the song.

- …Right, Play it Loud wasn't it? - Lincoln turned his attention towards his sister, as she continued jamming it to the tune - That song was absolute fire Luns, I… still hear it from time to time - He confessed with nostalgia.

- Damn, rubbing salt in the wound lil' bruh? I've performed that song more times than you can imagine… Too bad I'm done with it… - The rocker admitted with a deflated attitude.

- Bored of it? Well, you've still got a good arsenal, I mean, there's also Save the Music, and I Wanna Play With My Band and the Mick Swagger covers - Lincoln pointed out excitedly, listing with his fingers - and.. -

- Please dude, leave it, I know that - Luna, surprisingly, interrupted her brother, rising her hands in the air In clear distress.

- Oh, sorry… but I mean, my point was that you've got a lot of great tunes, and whenever you need more-

- Lincoln, those were… Moon Goats songs, I… sold the rights to them - Luna admitted, closing her eyes and eliciting an audible sigh.

- What? But… aren't you, in the Moon Goats? - Lincoln questioned soundly, raising both eyebrows.

And then, Luna simply sat up from her place in the bed, grabbing her legs and looking down.

- I… was - She said with difficulty - But, I guess, we also have to give a chance for young talent to shine amirite? - Regardless, she tried to muster a smile for her brother.

Failing miserably at that.

- That's… - Lincoln tried to think what to say next, but something was just bothering him to no end - Complete madness sis! There's no way they could find a better guitarist than you, you're Luna Loud, the most amazing musical prodigy I've ever known, you can make a fire track out of literal trashcan lids, you can play almost every genre of music and still make a top 10, you can come up with ideas to write a song just by watching paint dry - Lincoln exclaimed, sitting in the process as well - I'm sorry but I'm NOT eating that! - He clarified, frowning at his sister.

- Ugh, just drop it bruh, that was old Luna, new Luna can't fucking write a song if her life depended on it, and I want you to try explain to Chunk how I just keep missing the harmonic for Tricked because apparently I can't do uplifting notes anymore! - Luna snapped as well, avoiding eye contact.

- Really? - He questioned sincerely, wanting to indulge further.

- Yeah, it's useless dude, I can't play for shit, I'm doing everythin' wrong, my notes are aimless… - She complained further, staring at her clean fingers, free of scars from the contact with the strings - I mean, what can I do now? Your life is torn because you don't know who to side with, your heart splits into what is right and what you want to do, then things get out of control and next thing you notice? The world sees you down and it just kicks you further, or just forgets about you - She whispered to herself, as a rush of painful memories invaded her - …If I can't find the lyrics of my heart, then why even try again, might as well just keep working as an accountant, at least that life is stable, no need to hype yourself up for a stardom that doesn't wait for fallen artists - She concluded, avoiding eye contact.

- And.. If that's the case - Lincoln placed a palm in his chin, thinking deeply, before pointing with his fingers to a possession that Luna had brought to his home, resting in one of the corners - Why are you still bringing that guitar with you? -

- It's, uh - Luna pondered that herself - A… memory, of simpler times - She concluded, fixating her view on her guitar.

- I see… - Confided the albino.

As he proceeded to jump from his bed to take a hold of it.

Shortly after, he extracted the guitar from its lining and sat on the edge of his bed, inviting his sister to do the same, which she hesitantly complied.

Now, both siblings were sitting side by side, with Lincoln holding the guitar and positioning his left hand's fingers on the chord corresponding to, what he though, was E major, as he proceeded to swipe his right hand on the strings, attempting an arpeggio.

He failed miserably, making the sound distorted and dissonant, with his left index getting in the way, blocking the sound of the E string.

- Dang, I still suck at this - He admitted with a light chuckle.

But despite his failure, his older sister saw the attempt with mild hilarity, chuckling weakly as well.

- Yeh, almost there lil' bruh, lemme help you - Luna kindly redirected her brother's hands, positioning his fingers correctly on the frets, telling him to straighten his index so that it wouldn't interrupt the vibration of the string and guiding him with the timing on his right hand - Perfect, there ya go, try now -

And so, with more confidence this time around, Lincoln attempted the arpeggio.

And the sound was beautiful.

Soon after, Lincoln attempted another chord, and Luna guided him again, making sure to keep the rhythm with her feat.

A few minutes later, Lincoln was alternating fluidly between E, A, C, and D, assisted by Luna's footing for accompanied rhythm.

- Ok, I think I'm getting the hang of it! - He announced excitedly, as he began a consistent transition between the chords.

- You're a fast learner dude, could have even been a rock star yourself - Luna commented proudly, focusing on his energy and attitude while playing her instrument.

- Sure, second to you - He mentioned nonchalantly.

And before his sister could even object, he used his outstanding voice, singing the lyrics that resonated to him right at that moment.

"Rock and roll is running through my veins (hey, hey)

Electric soul like wires to my brain (hey, hey)

I can't be wrong, don't need direction

I can find my way"

- Come on Luns, help me there, you know what comes next - Without a warning, Lincoln shoved the guitar back into Luna, who was still trying to process what had just happened.

And very soon, she realized, the trap that Lincoln had made her fall into.

She also realized…

That she felt like going with the flow anyway.

"Play it loud! Play it loud!

I got no time for turning it down

Play it loud! Play it proud!

I live it, I breathe it

Don't tell me I don't need it now

Play it Loud!

Sorry I'm not sorry for bein' proud

Play it Loud!

Turn it up until your speakers blow out!

until your speakers blow out!

until your speakers blow out!

until your speakers blow out!"

And by the time she had recovered her vision, the song was over, she was standing up, placing her foot in the edge of the bed, panting heavily, her fingers had recovered the marks of the strings, her voice was a little strained from the intensity in which she sang.

And Lincoln was clapping and cheering.

- Yeah! That's the Luna Loud that I know, woooo! - He said while jumping over the bed, doing the rockin' devil sign with his hands while lifting them high in the air.

And that was the moment where Luna Loud realized that, just like that… The lyrics of her heart were back.

But she was still in disbelief.

- I… don't get it, I-I don't remember… feeling like this in a long time - Luna questioned to herself, looking at her hands - …What the hell was that? -

- Easy - Lincoln answered confidently - Those "lyrics of your heart" never left, you just needed your confidence back Luna, that song is a good refresher isn't it? now go show the Moon Goats who's the OG! -

- Lincoln… - Luna, however, lowered her head once again, unsure on how to respond - That… was not the only reason why they gave me the boot -

- Oh… right, the thing that happened with… Sam - His mood a little low as well, Lincoln decided to sit again on the edge of the bed, inviting his sister to sit besides him again, which Luna complied.

- Bruh, I don't want to place this shite on you too, it's a lil' more personal ok? Why don't we talk about other stuff - Luna, still, tried to deflect the topic, wanting to look a little better for her little brother.

- Luns, you know you can tell me anything, I promised I would be there for you as a brother again, remember? - Lincoln commented with a serene smile.

- But, dude! That was only if we left you two alone to be with each other, and we… didn't do that - Luna complained agitatedly, holding her brother by the arms.

- Emm, I said that I would be back to make everything with you guys if the voting was in our favor, and it was, 7 to 2 to be more exact - Lincoln replied with a shrug.

- Agh, dude! I don't get it, why are you being so chill about this, she… took you away from Lola, you're on a bloody conditional release awaiting a fucky trial, this isn't fair bruh, nothing that has happened to you so far is fair - Luna said exasperatedly as she continued grasping her brother's shoulders.

- …Luna, you need to realize, that the things that Lori was saying back then… they were all true, I'm only hurting Lola more by being with her - Lincoln explained calmly, but then retired eye contact, as he looked to the wall - She's not well Luns, I know that it doesn't look like it due to how confident she acts around others… but when we are alone, there's not a single day in which she doesn't have breakdown for anything that reminds her of her past, before I… ruined her life - The albino finished his confession with a sorrowful look.

- Lincoln, what are you talking about, she's only happy around you! - Luna questioned her brother loudly.

- Is it really… happiness though? - Lincoln kept thinking to himself - I was her only safe space… because she isolated herself from the world due to fear, I was her sole goal in life… because she gave up any real dreams that she could have, I was her only comfort… because her entire family turned her back on her, and guess what the end result was - Finally, the man looked back at his sister with murky eyes - She suffers from severe depression Luns, every night, when she thinks I'm asleep, she cries alone, on her video chats with Dr. López, I see them arguing all the time about her situation with me, I've heard the terms "co-dependence" and "Trauma bonding" so much that they now twist my stomach -

And he wasn't done talking.

- And that's not even mentioning the part where she has to acknowledge the part where I physically assaulted her! - Lincoln couldn't avoid it, he confessed the truth about his most heinous act, as a uncontainable rush of tears began flowing through him - I have to pretend to act as if it didn't matter, she tells me all the time that she forgave me, even my therapist does, but I just, can't Luns! And then there's the fact that she's fucking terrified of the idea of being intimate with me, kisses are ok, but if I touch her anywhere else she flinches and backs down, isn't that the most obvious sign of fucking trauma cause by rape? -

- … -

- Now you see it? This is why I deserve jail, Lori was an eye opener to me, I didn't actually care about her well being, only what I wanted to do to her and her body, and I'm done being selfish! -

- Dude… - Luna tried to reach a hand to caress her devastated brother's head, as he continued burying it in his legs, looking down.

Not knowing of how to even react to that information.

- Tell me more about the physical part, what exactly did you do to her? - She needed to clear her own doubts.

- I… took her pills away by force, and I… choked her - Lincoln explained among sobs.

- And… what did she do? -

- Who fucking cares what she did? I should have never done that to her, no matter the reason! -

- I said - Luna the grabbed his shoulders and lifted him up, forcing him to make eye contact with her intense glare - What did she do? -

- …She, became a vegetable in bed that… uh, was always looking for reasons to make me hate her guts - Lincoln confessed, looking to the side.

- Give me details - Luna insisted with a serious look.

- She… was always looking for a reason to start verbal fights, sometimes, she turned them physical by slapping my face, other times she was throwing food to my face, and uh, there was the time were she tried to… choke me too - Lincoln recalled with difficulty, stuttering heavily.

- See! I knew it, Lincoln, do you think I don't know you? you don't just start shit for no reason bruh, if anything, the only one known to start shit is Lola, context is necessary dude, and I'm sure the princess would never forgive a truly abusive brute in her life! - Luna concluded, never taking away her stern expression - If she forgave you, if Leni forgave you, it's for a bloody good reason Lincoln, you were in a dark place, trust me, I would know, I was also in a really dark place a few months ago! -

- … -

- …Getting into a physical fight with your partner because she tried so hard to bring you out of… some substances, you never quite recover dude, I know that guilt will be forever there, but beating yourself for that, over and over is also pointless… just as pointless as trying to blame others for it - Luna concluded, looking back at her own life in the process.

Lincoln tried to say something on the matter, but words were not coming out, no matter how much he felt like helping his sister

So instead, Luna kept talking.

- And for your case? Well… it doesn't take a genius to figure out why you were not in a good place dude, but even Clyde saw that you had changed for the better, so the real wonder here is, why haven't you forgiven yourself? -

- Well.. I -

- Actually, nevermind, don't answer that, I already know why… - Luna whispered in a low tone, looking down - Someone's who's life has always been about serving his sisters and playing a hero, of course he wouldn't know about acknowledging his own problems -

- Look Luna, I know about my hero complex ok? I'm currently trying to -

- I'll leave that psychological shite aside, Lincoln - Luna interrupted his rant, as she lifted her head to stare back at him with a determined expression - But what I can't ignore, is the fact that you still seem to think this is somehow not about you, I don't want you helping me about my thing with Sam, I want to help you with all this mess! -

- Please sis, it's alright-

- And I'll start by telling you this: Lori is not in the right dude, and what Luan did is unforgivable, they made the same mistake that I did by putting all the blame in you, but unlike me, they doubled down, if that isn't true selfishness, then I don't know what it is! -

- … -

- Bruh, Lola fucking loves you, that girl wouldn't lift a finger for anyone normally, but there she was, putting herself on the line to protect you - The rocker said confidently, never taking her eyes away from her confused brother - …and sure, the lil' dudette could use more friends, and she can be a lot, but just think about what you allowing yourself being put down by these punks would do to her, just food for thought aight? -

- … -

- And by the way, just being around you made me realize a buttload of things for myself, so let's make a deal dude - Luna stated, rising up from the bed with renewed energy while presenting her hand to her brother - I'll try to talk to Sam again, see if we land a gig, and you work on that guilt issue, show Lola that luv that you clearly have for her, make her faint with your own lyrics mate, rock her socks out! - She continued excitedly - And also, please help yourself a little, being behind bars is for criminals, not you! - The rocker finished while once again lifting her guitar in the air, and shredding it with renewed passion.

To which Lincoln could only observe with melancholy, unsure of what to think.

That was all that Lori could hear, as the sound of a newly composed song by musical prodigy Luna Loud muted any additional conversations that could be had in that room.

She tried to think of just how exactly did Luna find his hideout, as she still hadn't informed anyone of his release.

In the end, she just assumed that Leni had informed her of the location, and Luna decided to go on her own accord, lead by instinct.

Technically speaking, Lincoln wasn't forbidden from seeing the others, so she decided to leave this reunion slip.

She left, with a few things to think about, to that other house, given that she still had to notify her "mother" of the arrangement.

The living room of the Loud residence had been re-organized, returning to it's original configuration, the old, cranky and slightly smelly sofa was once again positioned in front of the old tv, which at the moment, was transmitting a documentary about a Colombian tropical rain forest and showcasing its diversity of frog species.

The content wasn't really that important, but the soothing music accompanying the nature documentary worked for the occasion, as a new mother was trying to become used to her role as such, holding her dear baby in her hands as the little girl quietly suckled on her breast.

Her twin sister was also by her side, watching in awe at the newly born creature, which she thought was one of the most beautiful things she has ever seen, far more beautiful than any pageant crown she has ever won, even though most of her features were virtually unrecognizable for that of any other newborn, safe for a strand of reddish hair.

- I still can't believe this little cutie came out of you! - Lola said with a fake squeaky voice while placing her index finger in the baby's tiny hand, which she instinctively grabbed.

- Hey! what's that supposed to mean? - Lana didn't quite ignore the passive-aggressive comment.

- Exactly what you think, I'm just glad your smell didn't quite stick to her, right sweetie?~ - Lola said mischievously, never quite taking her eyes away from the little girl.

- Seriously Lols, you're going to be that kind of aunt? - Lana teased with a conscious smirk, giggling slightly.

- Of course, she's going to learn proper manners, and forget about making her wear overalls, with my help, she'll turn into a proper lady and be the center of attention wherever she goes! - Lola teased back, turning her attention back at her twin.

And just like that, the baby stopped her feeding and began crying loudly.

- Aw, see what you did? keep that junk away from her, she's going to learn to work hard on the farm and take proper care of all the animals, she's going to be the wildest and strongest girl in the world, right Lena? - Lana lifted her child in the air, making her focus on her mommy's eyes, slightly calming her down.

- Yeah, well, how about you start by changing her diaper miss "wild girl" - Lola said, backing down a little and covering her nose from the evident smell emanating from her now dirty diaper.

- Gladly, at least I'm not afraid of doing that without 3 layers of gloves - Lana responded with a sly grin, reminding her sister of her complete meltdown when she had to change Lily's diaper that one time.

- Damn, you got me there - Lola admitted, chuckling slightly at that fact - Wait here, I'll bring a new one -

And so, with no further interruptions, the ex-pageant queen climbed upstairs, but it didn't take long for her to come down, bringing the diaper and excitedly giving it back to her rough sister.

The procedure started not soon after, although it took some hefty degree of willpower for Lola to avoid expressing disgust, she persevered, and even offered herself to bring the dirty diaper to the trashcan.

Once she came back to sit besides the new mother, she noticed that the baby was now comfortably asleep in Lana's arms, which she was rocking back and fort as she gazed lovingly at her daughter.

And Lola took the moment as a chance to comment on another matter.

- So… your shiny tadpole huh? - The blonde in pink questioned with a suspicious grin.

- The shiniest of tadpoles - Lana beamed proudly, focused on her daughter.

- I'm still not convinced, did I really write all that while I was asleep? - Lola then questioned that part of the story, frowning to herself.

- Yep, nobody really knows how, but it got you to talk to us somehow -

- …You really need to improve your writing Lans - Lola teased her twin, retaining her grin.

- It got the job done, RIbbon's in the story, and you can't change that - Lana teased back.

- Yeah… I guess I'll have to deal with him and his "shiny tadpole" from now on - Lola said, resigned, as she went back to focus on the baby, which yawned in the cutest way possible, propping her mother to continue rocking her arms back and forth.

As she watched the heartwarming scene, something inside her began growing intensely, which propped her to ask her twin a favor.

- mmm… Lans - Lola said shyly to her twin, making the tomboy turn her attention back to her, looking at her weirdly - Can I… hold her too? - The girl in pink asked weakly, not quite knowing what to expect.

- Uh, sure, just don't wake her up ok? - Lana accepted the request without any issue, giving her full trust to her twin.

And now, the sleeping infant was in Lola's arms, who kept looking at her with adoration, also rocking her arms softly, as the baby continued to cuddle near her chest.

- Aw, aren't you the most pretty thing in the world~ - Lola said softly, her heart overflowing with emotion, a feeling that was entirely to her and that she couldn't quite comprehend.

She tried to find a meaning for it, but then, her train of thought got interrupted when she realized that a droplet had just fallen in the little baby's face, causing her to stifle and hide her face further.

Lana also saw that, which prompted her to focus on her sister's face.

And she realized, that her eyes were getting wetter by the moment.

- Lols, what's wrong? - Reading the room, Lana approached her twin.

This made the ex-pageant queen snap out of her trance.

- I-I'm sorry Lans, here, you can have her back - Lola reacted alarmingly at her twin, before carefully giving the baby back, making sure to not wake her up.

After that, she coiled herself on the couch and began hugging her knees.

And Lana was weirded out.

- Did, something happen? - The tomboy tried to find answers.

- Lana… - The feminine teenager turned her head towards her twin - …Is it selfish? -

- What's "selfish" Lols? - Lana, now completely aware that her twin's mood changed, placed a comforting hand on her shoulder, paying full attention to her.

- …When I was holding her, I started to think - Lola tried hard to not choke on her next words - …What is she was my baby? - She admitted, before retracting her view back to the TV.

- Oh… - Lana caught on - Well, you know we're identical twins Lols, so, uh, technically speaking, you're also like, her mother in a way, so if you'd like to think of it like that… - Lana tried to come up with something, validating her sister's thoughts.

- No Lans, that's not what I mean silly - Lola dismissed her words with a kind smile, before resuming her thoughtful disposition - Maybe, what I meant to say is… What if I had a baby too? - The teenager confessed.

And for once, Lana was at a loss of words, not quite knowing how to proceed.

- Uh, well… - She thought about that herself, looking at her baby - …You can always ask for a donor -

And Lola sunk her head between her legs even more.

- …No - She managed to get out between muffled sobs - I… want to have… his baby -

- …Lols, I don't know.. -

- Lana - Lola snapped and looked at her twin directly - Please tell me, is that… selfish? -

And Lana couldn't even find it in her to look back at her twin.

- Lols, look I don't really know a lot about this genetic crap, but wouldn't that cause a lot of issues to your kids? -

- …Yeah, I know that… but - Lola coiled further, but gathered some energy to look at her twin - …well, it doesn't really matter anymore, it's not like it could happen right now, so… just forget I told you that ok? - She concluded, trying to appear as strong as she could.

But no matter what, the tears wouldn't stop flowing.

And so, Lana decided to take another step forward, quietly laying her baby down on the side and hugging her sister tight.

- It's ok Lans, really, it was just a stupid thought anyway, don't worry, focus on Lena-

- Lola, I told you, please don't try to play strong, I get you ok? If someone had told me that I could not have a child with Liam I would have told them to fuck off without a second thought! - Lana admitted, increasing the strength of her hug.

- …It doesn't really matter anymore Lans, really, it's ok, I mean, it's not as if… I could see L-Lincoln any time s-soon, so, let's talk about other things ok? - Lola brought all the remaining courage that she could muster to let those words out.

But after feeling her twin's hug become stronger, she couldn't hold it anymore.

And after hearing the conversation taking place in the Loud couch, the two women that were currently placing their ears behind the door that connected the living room to Rita's room stood up.

- …Honey, can you look at me straight in the eyes and tell me that that girl isn't in love? - Rita objected to her daughter with a melancholic look, folding her arms.

- … - Lori remained silent

And without even acknowledging the presence of her ruined mother, she searched for an object in her pockets.

She pulled her wallet, which she then proceeded to open, looting through its contents until she found the possession that she was looking for.

A photo, a family photo, of her, her Boo-Boo Bear, and her three beautiful gifts, a blonde male, standing proud as her oldest son, a little girl with raven black hair, barely standing up, her middle daughter, and an adorable baby, being carried by her arms in the photo, her youngest daughter.

She was given a lot to think about.

Author's Notes:

tjdunkley05: Hi Tyler, It's nice to know you're still keeping up with the story, thanks for the review, it was indeed a very special moment to have all of our main characters working together to make Lola realize that she and LIncoln are no longer on their own. Also, as you may have read, your suggestion won! from now on, meet Lena Hunnicutt, it's always great to have a small source of light in a sea of darkness right?
