At Canterlot Castle, the 6 young ponies, Princess Celestia, and Zane were completely stunned that Discord tricked the Mane 7 and corrupted only 5 of them. They even watch Rainbow Dash flew away which Discord must've broken his own rules, considering of his trickery and disharmony.
"Discord tricked them!" Storm Hawk exclaims angrily. "That's just foul play!"
"He's the spirit of chaos and disharmony, remember?" Comet told him in a deadpan look on his face. "Deception is also his thing and tricking them. But I'm sensing the dark aura from them."
"It must've been because Discord has corrupted them with his powers." Zane states. "Whatever the case, even if they're corrupted and Rainbow left, the Elements of Harmony won't work."
"Why is that?" Princess Celestia inquires.
"Only to those with pure hearts can wield the Elements and use it against Discord." Zane explains. "But unfortunately, the ponies were corrupted due to Discords magic, they won't be able wield the Elements."
The 6 young ponies were worried and it got to the point that they need to help them. Comet then glows his horn as he and his friends were teleported which it got both Zane and Princess Celestia noticed when they turned to them.
"They must've gone after Discord!?" Zane exclaims in shock. "We must go after them, they'll be killed!"
"Discord is even stronger than them." Princess Celestia said with concern. "And it's worrying me that Twilight and her friends couldn't wield the Elements when they're corrupted."
"What should we do?" Zane asks.
"Let's hope that Twilight and her friends find the Elements and find some way to get them back to normal." Princess Celestia informed him. "And I need your help."
Zane responded with a nod as he and Princess Celestia head towards the room to find answers.
While outside of the Canterlot Castle, Discord just continued to laugh at Twilight and rest of her group. Both Twilight and Mario just looked rather devastated until Pinkie Pie takes offense at Discord's laughter.
"And what are you laughing at?!" Pinkie Pie snapped angrily, but quickly covered her mouth with her eyes widen. "Wait, did I actually say that?"
"You did, and it's you ponies are just the most fun I've had in eons." Discord replied, wiping tears from his eyes from all of his laugh.
Pinkie Pie just quickly zipped away to Twilight.
"Um...I think we have a problem." Pinkie Pie said.
"You think? You just snapped at Discord a second ago." Mario said. "He somehow fading your colors and having you four turned."
"And yet, we're clinging to the love of our children." Fluttershy states. "I'm still clinging to it."
"Yeah, me too." Pinkie Pie adds.
"Same fer me." Applejack adds, approaching them. "But I don't know for how long, hopefully we can get out of this."
They then turned to Rarity, who's still holding the boulder with hum.
"And gettin' Rarity back to normal, 'cause this is drivin' me crazy watching her like that." Applejack said.
They then turns to Discord, who's sitting on a couch with a box of popcorn, laughing.
"It's just too entertaining with Rarity acting greedy." Discord said. "Hopefully soon, they'll act just like Rarity, but differently."
"Stop it, Discord." Twilight scolded him. "You're not playing fair."
"I'm not playing fair?" Discord said with his raised eyebrow as he munched on the popcorn, but he got out of the couch and walked up to her. "I'm not playing fair? Perhaps we haven't met. I'm Discord, the spirit of chaos and disharmony. Hello."
Discord couldn't resist getting right into Twilight's face as he spoke to her.
"How are we supposed to find the Elements of Harmony when you took away the labyrinth before we could get to the end?!" Mario demands when Discrod just looks at him.
"Oh, wait, did you..."
Discord then started to laugh once again.
"How funny! You thought the Elements were in the labyrinth?"
Both Twilight and Mario were stunned when Discord transported them back to when he was talking to them through the stained-glass windows in the castle hallway.
"Twists and turns are my master plan. Then find your Elements back where you began."
Twilight and Mario listened as Discord just smirked deviously at them from the side before returning them back to the present.
"I never said they were in the labyrinth." Discord said.
Twilight and Mario were still too dumbfounded that they have misunderstood the riddle to notice that.
"But...but..."
"Though, somepony else was able to figure it out the riddle. And I know who's the winner!" Discord said as he show them the image of the 5 young ponies.
"If I remember right, the Elements were used against back at the Everfree Forest to free Princess Luna. And that was before Discord ever arrived."
"The Elements of Harmony was hiding at Ponyville!"
"Keep going..." Discord said.
"He meant the bearers of the Elements of Harmony!"
"Yes, thank you! We've established that!" Discord said impatiently.
"And the Elements are hidden of the Golden Oak Library!"
"And these ponies are the lucky winners! Give the kids a prize!" Discord said, waving his hands at the ponies.
The 6 ponies, except Rarity, were deeply shocked that their children were able to figure out the riddle.
"If you ever lay yours paws on our kids, we'll..."
"You'll what, Twilight? Use the magic of friendship to stop me?" Discord interrupts. "Please, I don't have any particular reason of killing your children, I'm maybe mischievous, but I'm not that heartless. Now if you'll excuse me, I have some chaos to wreak."
Discord took a few steps away before snapping his fingers to disappear.
The Mane 6 just stood there, stunned as a large collection of cotton candy clouds filled the sky. With a clash of thunder, the clouds poured down their chocolate rain on the ponies.
"Twilight, do you think Comet is right about the riddle?" Applejack inquires. "I mean, Discord must've hidden it."
"Well, it might be possible." Twilight said. "I don't know, but we should get moving. And if Comet's right, we might be able to get the Elements."
"But with Rainbow Dash gone, Rarity thought that the boulder is a diamond, and us fading into gray while slowly changing, we need to find a way to get us back to normal." Fluttershy points out. "I don't know how long I can clinging to hope."
"Then, we better get moving, just try to onto hope as long as you girls can." Mario said as they make their way to Ponyville.
Within a few minutes, Comet and the young ponies were able to get to Ponyville, which had now been altered into the realm of chaos and disharmony. Several trees and buildings were hovering in the air, chocolate milk was continuing to rain in random places, even town hall was floating upside down.
The 6 young ponies faces are feeling green as they quickly zip away when Discord appeared, but noticed the young ponies ran to the bushes, hurling which it got him cringed uncomfortable.
"Well, I've been wondering where did they get the carrots?" Discord asks himself, pondered. "Hm, I suppose I should've brought the barf bags in case if those kids decided to hurl. Well, no matter, I still got Equestria to rule."
Soon as Discord disappears, the 6 young ponies came out of the bushes with a groan while rubbing their stomachs.
"Warn us next time you want to do that." Apple Shine told him.
"Hey, we got here, didn't we?" Comet remarked.
"Whoa, when Discord turns everything into chaos, this isn't a joke." Storm Hawk said surprisingly when the young ponies looked at Ponyville. "And it looks like he just turn everything whacky."
"What should we do?" Silver Spoon asks.
"You're gonna have to head home and check up on Diamond Tiara to see if she's alright." Comet suggests, leaving Silver Spoon shocked. "Look, we may not like here because of her haughty attitude, but we do care about her well-being and her safety. We need you to be there for her in case if things gone wrong."
Silver Spoon can tell that Comet and the other 4 young ponies are planning to help the Mane 7 which they're taking a big risk on finding the Elements and take on Discord. She then only responds with a nod.
"Just...be careful, Comet." Silver Spoon said, kissed him on a cheek as she then ran to meet up with Diamond Tiara.
"What now? Should we look for the Elements or what?" Storm Hawk inquires.
"No, they'll know where it is." Comet answered. "We're just gonna have buy them some time to get to Rainbow Dash while figuring out on turning them back to normal."
"How?" Rose Lotus asks when the 3 young ponies wanted to know how.
"By fighting Discord." Comet answered.
"WHAT?!" The 4 young ponies exclaims.
"Fight Discord! Are you insane?!" Storm Hawk shouts. "You heard what the Princess said, he's stronger than any of us!"
"I know, but we can only buy them enough time so they can retrieve the Elements and getting them back to normal." Comet points out. "We may not be able to beat him, but we have to try. And I'm not backing down without a fight."
The 4 young ponies noticed that Comet is being serious.
"So, yer sayin'..."
"Yes, I'm fighting against Discord." Comet answered with determine.
"Will you really?" The voice of Discord said as he appeared. "Well then, this is going to be fun."
The 5 young ponies then readied their fighting stance, charging after Discord as their fight begins.
At the same time, the 6 ponies had made their way to Ponyville.
"Come on, girls and Mario." Twilight said as she and Mario leading the 4 ponies down the path to Ponyville. "I'm certain this is what Comet meant. If we get back at the library, I have a book that I just know can give us a clue...Ah!"
Twilight was taken by surprise when Angel and a pack of bunny/deer hybrids stampeded over Twilight, leaving her dizzy with a messy mane and hood-marks all over her back.
"Good boy, Angel. Mama's do proud." Fluttershy said with a sinister smirk, but quickly covered her mouth with a gasp. "Ooh, sorry."
Then, the sun instantly and the moon rise, turning day into night.
"What in tarnation?! I can see anythin' 'round here." Applejack exclaims when the road suddenly turns into soap. "Whoa!"
Applejack slid forward as she crashed through the three other corrupted ponies, knocking them out before she came to a stop before Twilight and Mario.
"Sorry, y'all." Applejack said.
"Wah! Ahh! Whoa!" Twilight exclaimed as she struggled to stand up before she tumbling onto her stomach with a plop. "Discord's turned our dirt road into soap!"
"We better be careful while tread lightly." Mario suggested when the night turns into day. "Discord is making Ponyville than it already is."
The 3 ponies nodded with an agreement, except Rarity who's able to carry the boulder on her back, as they then slid away to get to the Golden Oak Library.
After the end of a long walk, night turned back into day again as they arrived just outside of the Golden Oak Library. It should be noted that the grounds and hills now had a checker pattern design on them.
"Okay, we're here." Twilight said. "Let's hurry inside so we can get the Elements."
Applejack, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy nods as they went inside of the library, but Rarity was still grunting as she tried to carry her 'diamond' inside.
"Rarity, we don't have time for this! Get inside!" Mario pleads as he got behind her.
"Forget it, Mario." Rarity retorted. "I know what you're up to. the second I go in, you'll have her little minion Spike come and take Tom!"
"'Tom'?" Twilight said indignantly.
It was one thing to be greedy, but to actually name the 'diamond' was just taking that greed to a whole new level.
"Well, it's not going to work." Rarity retorted as she rubbed her fore-hoof on her 'diamond'.
As she did so, her color went completely grey. Both Twilight and Mario are getting annoyed at Rarity to really take much notice.
"You're not going in without him, are you?" Twilight asks in a blunt tone.
"Mm-mm!" Rarity answered.
"Fine!" Twilight growled angrily and scooped up 'Tom' into her back and carried it inside.
Mario just looked worried for the moment before he pressed on in.
While outside, Discord was sent flying and crashed against the ground with a grunt. Discord stood up with a glare as the pink cloud was above him. Comet then used his magic on the pink cloud, given Discord a lightning strike right at his rump.
"YEEOW!" Discord yelped, jumped and lands on the ground while rubbing his rump.
Winter Breeze used her chi, conjuring a snowstorm and sent Discord, burying him in snow. Apple Shine then used her chi, stomping the ground as it starts to tremor and Discord was losing his balance. Storm Hawk delivers a flying kick to the jaw, sent Discord down to the ground.
Discord then stood up, but hearing hoof steps when the bison spirit rams him, sending him flying as he crashed against the building. Rose Lotus then readied her curved dagger.
"I hope they get the Elements in time." Rose said hopefully.
"We just have to buy them enough time so they can find Rainbow and figure out to change the colors back." Comet told her.
"If you kids think you can win this fight, this is just a warm-up." Discord told them, stood up. "But I'll admit, I haven't been having a good fight in a long time."
"Okay, this is going to take a while." Comet said.
"And it's time for round 2! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding!" Discord said with he brings out a wrestling bell, ringing it.
While inside of the Golden Oak Library, Spike had fallen asleep while trying to mop the floor of the main room and was snoozing while still holding the mop in his hands.
"Spike, wake up!" Mario shouts, making Spike yelp.
"Wha!?" Spike exclaims, turns to Mario. "Mario, I was having a good sleep."
There was a crash behind them which Twilight had ended up creating a hole on the area where her front door was trying to get 'Tom' inside.
"Careful, Twilight!" Rarity retorted. "You'll ruin his beautiful finish."
"Oh, for the love of..."
"Twilight!" Spike called her, cutting the remark as he approaches her. "What's going on? Why does everypony look so...gray?"
Applejack, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy just looked at him in annoyance while Rarity gave him a death glare.
"Discord happen." Mario told him. "He's done something to them, but those three are still holding on to hope. They won't hold it for long once it takes a full effect."
"Why aren't you being grumpy?" Spike asked.
"He tried to get me turned, but it backfired." Mario told him.
"What's happened to everypony?" Spike asked, confused. "And where's Comet?"
"He's inside of the castle along with his friends, for safety." Twilight said, looking for the book on each shelf. "But never mind that, we've got to find the reference guide to the Elements of Harmony."
Twilight then turns to the four ponies, which Applejack, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie were helping out by searching the reference book, but Rarity, she only holding 'Tom'. Mario didn't like it one bit.
"The Elements of Harmony?" Spike said as he made his way up a tall ladder to find the book Twilight was looking for. "Oh, I know exactly where that book is."
Spike then grabbed the book from the shelf.
"Found it!" Spike said, only for Rarity to use magic to grab it.
"Mine!" Rarity screamed, ran off.
"Rarity, you better give us that book!" Twilight demands. "Do you even know what you just stole?!"
"No, but if you want it, I want it!" Rarity replied as Twilight gave chase.
Twilight dived at Rarity, but missed and hit her head hard as the result. Mario and Applejack blocked Rarity, causing her to stop as he uses his magic to grab the book. Twilight grabs it, opened the book.
"The Elements!" Twilight exclaims as she saw the six pieces of the Elements of Harmony. "Comet was right! There were here all along!"
"This is great!" Spike said, reminding her of the Elements. "Now you guys can defeat Discord and put everything back to normal!"
"Easier said than done, Spike. The only pony we're missing is Rainbow Dash and she could be anywhere." Mario points out. "And we still need to figure out how to get them back to normal since Discord used his magic to corrupt them, but they're clinging to hope and the love of their children."
"But Rarity doesn't have one." Spike said.
"Nope, because she's too busy being greedy and thinking that 'Tom' is a diamond." Twilight told him. "I hope the kids are-"
BURP!
Spike then burped out of the scroll and then kept burping while spat out of the number of scrolls.
"Is he okay, Twi?" Fluttershy asks. "I've seen so many scrolls."
"Bettin' Princess Celestia is giving you somethin' that can help." Applejack states.
"Well, only one way to find out." Twilight said as she uses her magic to grab the scroll, reading it while Spike keeps on belching and spat out the number scrolls. "Wait, these are all of the letters I've written to the Princess since I moved to Ponyville. But why would she send them back?"
Spike can only groan while spat out the scrolls. It was then Twilight starts reading the letters. As she read them, the visions of past memories begin to appear behind her, such as having fun at the spa with Zecora, spending time with her son, the 12 of them sharing a group hug. She also noticed that with each she read, they were always signed with both her name and Mario's name.
'Real friends don't care what your cover is.'
'Friendship is a wondrous and powerful thing.'
'And like the path cut through the orchard, there will always be a way through.'
'The best thing to do is stay true to yourself.'
'Everypony has a special magical connection with her friends. Maybe even before she meet's them.'
As Twilight continued reading the letters, she read something that tugger her heart more than anything.
'You should never be afraid to share your true feelings with a good friend.'
It was then, Twilight had a major epiphany.
"It's all so clear!" Twilight said excitedly as she turns to her friends. "Can't you see? Discord's trying to distract us from what's important. He knows how powerful our friendships are, and he's trying to keep us from seeing it. Spike, do you remember what I said the first day we arrived in Ponyville? I told you that the future of Equestria didn't rest on me making friends."
Spike was starting to grow sicker while groaning, but the 3 mares and Mario were confused.
"But the opposite is true!" Twilight continued. "The friendships I've made since we've been there, even the one I've had since I was a little filly, are what helped save Equestria from Nightmare Moon. And now we need to save it for Discord!"
Then, Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, and Mario are beginning to understand what Twilight was saying, remembered at the time back in the Everfree Forest to find the Elements and uses them to defeat Nightmare Moon.
"Spike is right." Twilight said. "I've got to fight for my friendships. For them. For me. For Equestria."
Applejack, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie just smiled at Twilight's determination.
"But Mario, why are you effected by Discord's manipulation? Why aren't acting like them?" Twilight asked.
"Ah was thinkin' the same thing." Applejack adds. "Besides us clingin' to hope and rememberin' the love of our kids."
"When he found me, he tried to torment me when he mentions Master Bolobo's name. But I won't take lightly of him mocking his death." Mario explains in a somber tone. "When we left the labyrinth, I thought they would end up like Rarity, and yet...they're holding hope. I was worried that if they're ending up differently and Discord has what he wanted, hope would be lost. And I almost felt like I wasn't good enough to tell you that...I should've said this a long time ago, but...I just wanted to tell you how much I love you. But I-Mmmph?!"
Mario was cut off when Twilight kissed him on the lips before she departed and gave him a warm but teary smile, touched by his heartwarming words.
"What?" Mario said in confusion. "You really like me?"
Applejack, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy couldn't help but snickered a bit after watching Twilight kissed Mario.
"Friendship isn't always a pleasant experience." Twilight said. "When things are the worst, you have to fight so that those friendships aren't destroyed forever."
Mario smiled at her with tears leaving his eyes as well before he wiped them clean off.
"Well, I don't hate you or anypony." Mario said. "I love my friends and I still love you, Twilight. The instant I saw Discord turned our friends grey, it's like the love that was lost inside of me..."
"...was too strong for you to truly hate anypony, but you didn't do it." Twilight said. "Because true, pure, and sincere love is always more powerful than hate. And...it proves that your love for me, and our friends, is sincere."
Mario nodded with a smile which Applejack, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie agreed to Twilight's statement.
"Look, Mario." Twilight said. "I don't know how I feel exactly about your feelings for me either since you gotten over your crush on me, but I do know one thing for sure."
"What's that?" Mario asked.
"You're my best friend." Twilight answered. "And that alone is enough for me to say with full confidence: I love you, Mario."
Mario smiled at her before he hugged her.
Twilight held Mario until he released the very last tears, which it didn't take very long. Then, Mario pulled away and wiped his eyes. Twilight had to do the same since she had shed a few tears as well.
"I'm glad we're still best friends and that you do appreciate me." Mario said with a smile, causing the 4 mares giggled.
"Me too." Twilight answered. "So, think you can help us fight for the rest of our friendships?"
Mario pondered for a moment before giving her a determined smile.
"You bet I will." Mario answered. "As long as I'm around, Discord is never going to take away those I lover ever again."
Twilight smiled excitedly, then turns to the 4 mares.
"Let's start by turning them back to normal." Twilight said as she and Mario uses their magic to turn them back to normal.
While outside of Golden Oak Library, Discord has gain the upper hand when he used his magic to have the pink clouds struck them with lightning, which the 5 young ponies were able to dodge. Discord used his talon to snap his fingers, causing the ground to tremor and the young ponies are losing their balance. Winter Breeze uses her chi to conjure a snowball and throw it right in the face, causing him to grunt while Comet used his magic to conjure a tomahawk, chopping his tail right off.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!" Discord screamed in pain with his tongue sticking out.
Apple Shine charges after Discord, leaps in midair while using her chi to conjure an rock hammer, swings her hammer right in the face, sent him flying towards the wall.
Discord stood up and then flew towards the young ponies when Rose Lotus was on top of his neck, pulling his horns and forced him fly in the other direction. Comet turns to Storm Hawk as he gave him a nod. Storm Hawk flew up high in the sky, remembering of his mother won the competition by using the Sonic Rainboom and saving the Wonderbolts and Rarity as he continues to fly up in high speed. Storm Hawk then began to descend to get to Discord, who's still having trouble trying to get Rose Lotus off of him.
"Get off, you brat!" Discord growled while Storm Hawk increased his speed.
Storm Hawk continued to pour on as much speed as he could, feeling another slip stream surround the front of his body, shifting into a V as he continued to push his speed to the limit. Then suddenly...
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
A large rainbow ring appeared behind him as he zoomed faster than ever before. Rose Lotus got off of Discord, Storm Hawk grabbed Discord in the neck and flew upward while creating a rainbow in the sky as he continued to descend down to the ground.
Comet uses his magic to form an auric hands, stood up while conjure a bow and arrow, aiming at Discord. Winter Breeze used her chi, forming an ice needles. Apple Shine uses her chi to make her hooves glow and Rose Lotus readied her dagger, aiming at Discord.
Soon as Storm Hawk and Discord were close enough to get to the ground, Comet fired his arrow, Winter Breeze released a few ice needles, Apple Shine stomps the ground to make a stone pillar, and Rose Lotus threw her dagger at Discord.
At the same time after Twilight and Mario were able to get the 4 mares back to normal, they arrived at Rainbow Dash's home as Fluttershy fly up to see if she's home. Fluttershy peeked inside a few windows to find the house...was empty.
"Uh? She's not here." Fluttershy said, shrugging her shoulders.
"Without Rainbow Dash, we can't use the Elements." Twilight said, worried as the others looked just as concerned.
"She could be anywhere by now!" Applejack remarked. "We're never gonna find her!"
"Yeah, we will." Pinkie Pie said as she's stepped away from the group and pointed upward. "'Cause she's right there!"
Pinkie Pie showed them a lone white cloud where the currently corrupted Rainbow Dash was just reclining comfortably.
"Rainbow Dash!" Mario called out.
"Hey, guys!" Rainbow Dash replied as she waved at them, but didn't bother turning around.
"We've been looking everywhere for you!" Twilight called out.
"That's nice." Rainbow Dash said dismissively.
"Discord's still on the loose!" Twilight pointed out. "We need you to help us defeat him with your Element, Loyalty!?"
"Pfft. Loyalty, schmoyalty!" Rainbow Dash retorted as she finally turned over to face them. "Have you guys seen Ponyville? It's a disaster!"
"Nothing that can't be fixed!" Mario remarked. "Rainbow, think about your son! If you would come and help us..."
"I'm staying right here in Cloudsdale where everything's awesome!" Rainbow Dash interrupted and went back to reclining.
"How in Equestria can she think that tiny patch of clouds is Cloudsdale?" Rarity asked with a puzzled look on her face.
"The same way he got you thinking that cheap rock was a bona fide diamond." Applejack answered.
Rarity gasped before looking very irritated. Even though after Rarity was back to normal, she pushed that boulder out of the library and out of sight, she told them to never speak of this.
"And we made no such promise." Mario replied as he and Applejack chuckled, hoof-bumped each other.
Mario then uses his chi, making the vines uprooted from the ground and snatched Rainbow Dash while forcing her down to the ground. Rainbow Dash struggles with a grunt, trying to get out of the vines. Both Mario and Twilight tapped Rainbow Dash's forehead, quickly restoring her color. Afterward, Rainbow Dash was still feeling rather drained by the fact her mane looked a little limp and she felt a bit woozy.
"Wh-What happened?" Rainbow Dash asked she rubbed her head and shook it to recover, then gasped. "How's Ponyville? Where are the Elements?! Did we stop Discord?! What happened to Storm Hawk?!"
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
Then, they heard a loud sound of the boom as they turned to the source, noticed the rainbow at Ponyville.
"A Sonic Rainboom?! I thought Rainbow is the only one who could pull it off!" Applejack exclaims shockingly.
Rainbow Dash knows that Applejack was right, but it got her gasped and realized who pull off the Sonic Rainboom.
"It was Storm Hawk! He pull off the Sonic Rainboom!" Rainbow Dash said, leaving them shocked and she filled her eyes in tears. "That's my boy!"
"If Storm Hawk's here...then that means..." Fluttershy said.
"...Our kids are fighting against Discord!" Twilight said shockingly. "What were they thinking?!"
"Now's not the time Twilight, we'll worry about it later." Mario points out. "Right now, we have to go back in Ponyville and stop Discord before he kills them!"
And with that, the Mane 7 charges back to Ponyville to stop Discord and help the 5 young ponies.
Back in Ponyville, after Comet, Apple Shine, and Rose Lotus attacked Discord at once, it causes a crater and dust to appear while sending the 5 young ponies flying against the ground. The 5 young ponies are very exhausted from the long fight against Discord, but hoping they bought enough time for the Mane 7 to get back to normal while getting the Elements of Harmony. However unknown to the 5 young ponies, the cutie marks are revealed in their flanks.
"Did...did we win?" Storm Hawk asks, panting heavily.
"YOU MEDDLING BRATS!?" The voice of Discord yelled angrily as he glowed his claw to pull the 5 young ponies to him. "YOU'RE JUST BUYING TIME FOR THEM TO GET THE ELEMENTS WHILE YOU BRATS FOUGHT AGAINST ME!? Though, it's valiant effort, but foolish to challenge me!"
"And yet, you still made yourself look stupid when we beat the stuffings out of you!" Storm Hawk retorted with a glare.
"We knew that you don't play fair, considering that you're well-known of your deception!" Rose Lotus adds. "But we won't let you rule Ponyville!"
"And if they were here with the Elements and Twilight, somehow, turn them back to normal, I would've gotten away by rule Equestria if it weren't for you meddling kids!" Discord growled.
"GET AWAY FROM OUR KIDS, DISCORD!"
Suddenly, Discord was sent flying when both Mario and Twilight fired their magic bolts at him, causing the 5 young ponies to fall to the ground when Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy managed to catch them.
"We got you, guys." Rainbow Dash said as they put them to the ground while the 6 ponies gathered around them.
Discord shook his head and then turns to the ponies with a glare.
"So, you've found the Elements of Harmony. Thanks to those meddling brats, I would've rule and turned Equestria into chaos." Discord said angrily.
"They may have taking a big risk by facing you and head on, but it won't stop us by beating you!" Rainbow Dash remarked.
"And there's also something what we've learned, Discord!" Twilight said as the others stood confidently beside her. "We've learned that friendship isn't always easy, but no doubt its worth fighting for!"
"And that love is far more powerful than hate!" Mario added sternly. "You thought you could turn me against those I love, but never, Discord. I'll see to it that you'll never hurt my friends and my family ever again!"
"Ugh, gag!" Discord said, unamused as he leaned his head towards them. "Fine go ahead, try and use your little Elements. Friend me. Just make it quick. I'm missing some excellent chaos here."
"All right, everypony! Let's show him what friendship can do!" Twilight said.
"You bet!" Mario called out with determination.
"Wait-wait-wait!" Pinkie Pie called as she ducked under a cotton candy cloud to slurp up some more chocolate milk, but Rose Lotus pulls her out in annoyance while Winter Breeze freezes the cloud with ice. Then, the ponies looked at her in a deadpan expression. "Hehe, sorry!"
Then one by one, each of the other ponies began to activate their own Elements with Twilight's glowing the brightest of the 6 remain elements. Mario just closed his eyes as he began to absorb the elements power, ready to convert it when he had collected the right amount of magic. Discord just looks rather bored, but Rarity's Element started shooting out a burst of magic in the shape of her Element, soon all of the other, minus Twilight's, begin to do the same, shooting the Elemental shapes of magic past Discord.
"Huh, what's this?" Discord said, now starting to feel worried.
Those blasts of magic weren't just for show, they were showing that Mario was storing up the magical power into his Element as the eyes of the 6 ponies turned white as they floated into the air.
"No..." Discord said.
Mario then felt the magic reach its full charge as the huge ball of bright light that surrounded all 7 of them as a huge rainbow leaped high into the sky. When the rainbow reaches its peak, it began to descend downward, right at Discord.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Discord shouted at the rainbow magic collided with him, slowly turning him back into stone.
When the process was finished, the rainbow then split into two rainbows and surrounded Ponyville into a dome filled with the power of all 7 Elements.
As soon as it disappeared, everything turned back to normal.
Everypony soon landed gracefully back on the ground. Mario knelt down to let himself power down. They all exchange warm smiles for a job well done as the now stone Discord just fell to the ground helplessly. The Mane 7 then turned to the 5 young ponies, but it got them shocked when they noticed something on their flanks.
"Comet...look at your flank." Twilight said to her son.
Comet was confused, but turns to his flank and noticed his cutie mark with shock. Storm Hawk and the other young ponies did the same and noticed their cutie marks which it got them shocked.
Comet Stardust's cutie mark was a dreamcatcher with the six-pointed sparkle at the center.
Apple Shine's cutie mark was a Texas flag with an apple at the center of the star.
Rose Lotus' cutie mark was a lotus lily with a tarot card.
Winter Breeze's cutie has three blue snowflakes.
Storm Hawk's cutie mark was a hawk with a rainbow lightning on its wings.
"We...We got our cutie marks?" Comet questions.
"Sure did, sugarcube." Applejack said with a smile. "And y'all were willing to risk yer lives to buy us time to get Rainbow and the Elements."
"And you pulled off the Sonic Rainboom! I couldn't be even more prouder than you, Storm Hawk!" Rainbow Dash adds with a proud teary smile, hugging her son. "I so proud of you!"
"We all are, we're very proud of you." Twilight said, turns to Comet. "Especially you Comet, you and your friends have taken a big risk by facing Discord while buying us enough time to get back to Ponyville. We were worried that Discord is about to kill you."
"But we were able to save you 5 and end Discord." Pinkie Pie said.
"It may be foolish of you 5 face against Discord, but you're willing to risk your lives to fight and have us get the Elements and getting our friends back to normal." Mario told them with a smile. "For that, we thank you."
The 5 young ponies then walk towards them, forming a group hug.
Later on, the 12 ponies were now at the Canterlot Castle, Princess Celestia had summoned them to her throne room as a few trumpets give them a warm welcome. Several other ponies are there as well as what the Princess had planned to thank the 12 ponies who had once again become the heroes of Equestria. As the Mane 7 and the 5 young ponies reached the front of Princess Celestia, Master Wu and the Elemental Masters were seen standing beside the alicorn. A few smiles were exchanged between everypony, some were excited while others felt...a little awkward, shy, and bashful.
"We gathered here today." Princess Celestia said majestically. "To once again honor the heroism of these 12 friends who stood up to the villain Discord and saved Equestria from eternal chaos."
It was then, she used her magic to unveil a new stained-glass window. This one showed the 12 ponies vanquished Discord. The ponies cheered as the 12 ponies stood before them with smiling faces.
Once things died down and the crowds have dispersed, the 12 ponies were left alone in the main throne room and were spending time just chatting away with each other. Silver Spoon and Comet were spending time together when she noticed the cutie mark, which left her surprised. Mario told her everything that happened when he wasn't affected by Discord's influence.
"Discord is very good at making ponies doubt themselves and give into their weakness, but he didn't count on the hope they're clinging into." Princess Celestia said gently. "But it would also seem that you were able to reserve it when he almost tormented you about your mentor."
"Well, I'm just glad that I didn't turn into a grey pony." Mario said with a smile.
"Hey, Mario!" Twilight called him as she came to him. "Come on! Pinkie's gonna throw a party to celebrate outside by the West Tower."
"I'll be there in a minute." Mario told her. "Just need some time with the Princess."
Twilight responded by kissing him on the cheek and walked away with a smile on her face. Mario was just left dumbfounded as Princess Celestia giggled.
"Perhaps you shouldn't give up on Twilight so soon." Princess Celestia said with a chuckle.
"Well, we'll see what the future brings to us in the end." Mario said with a smirk.
They both shared a good laugh.
Unknown to them, Lord Garmadon watched everything as he was glaring at the flames, seeing Discord defeated by 12 ponies. Orochimaru was among them as he saw Discord's defeat as well.
"So, shall we continue the search, my lord?" Orochimaru asks.
"No, let them celebrate while they still can." Lord Garmadon replied, rose from his throne and walks down. "Discord was an imbecile, thinking he can turn Equestria to his liking, which I find it detestable. Once everything dies down, we will continue the search of the Serpentine Staffs."
He then disappeared into the darkness, marching off.

I've done some major plot twist. I didn't want the girls fighting each other or Mario because of Discord's influence. I made some major alterations of them clinging to hope and the love of their children so they can hold the corruption as long as possible.
