Danny and Harp flew around the area, keeping an eye out for any more scouts. They had a few run-ins with some, but they were able to defeat them before moving on. Danny was starting to feel tired and had him and Harp land somewhere the Armed Harpies couldn't find them.
"Is Danny ok?" Harp asked.
"Just a bit tired," Danny said, wondering why.
He knows it has only been a few hours since he has been in his ghost form and he did learn that he could remain in his ghost form for a couple of days before he has to change back to save energy. So why was he so tired?
"Are you hungry?" Harp asked, hoping to find some fish close by.
"No. I just can't keep my ghost form up any longer. Which is strange. I can keep this up for almost a whole week back in Amity Park. I tested it when my parents went to a Ghost Convention for a week last month. The school was also closed down thanks to Skulker doing far more damage than normal." Danny sighs.
"Maybe there's something about the air?" Harp asked.
"The air?" Danny asked.
"Harp is a harpy. We can tell how the air feels when we fly. Maybe there's something in the air that you're missing?" Harp said.
Danny thought about it. Harp has never been to Amity Park, but Danny did notices a few things different. The air around here and near Harp's flock was clean. The type of clean he knew Sam would love. However, as he thought about it, he began to realize something. Due to the Ghost Attacks, his parents learned that some of the leftover ectoplasm has mixed with the air of the town. Thankfully, it was harmless to humans. But it also seems that it empowers Ghosts. They were working on a way to clean the air around the town to keep the Ghost from getting any stronger. They also discover that it didn't spend outside of the town because the areas outside were far too strong for the ectoplasm to live, in a way.
"Maybe that's why I'm so tired," Danny said, confusing Harp.
"You seem to be right, Harp. In Amity Park, ectoplasm is mixed with the air of the town. It's proved to be harmless to people and living creatures, but it also helps Ghosts. Since I'm not in Amity Park, I can't last in my ghost form like normal." He said before changing back into his human form.
"Looks like you're going to have to carry me until we run into more trouble," Danny said.
"Okay. But aren't you worried the Armed Harpies might kidnap you?" Harp asked.
"Well, I'm not going to bother hiding my powers this time. If we're attacked, I'll fight back." Danny said, making her nod.
'He's so brave! Just like my father! Oh, I really what him as my mate now!' Harp thought, blushing.
"Let's keep moving, Harp," Danny told her.
Harp nods before grabbing his shoulders. She took off into the air, thinking over the best course of action before she tells him about her feelings.
Harp's Flock,
Dean panted after mating with his Harp wife for three hours. Tired, and completely exhausted, he lay in the next as the Harpy Queen placed her wing on him.
"Thank you, husband." She said.
"Harp is going to be affected this year, isn't she?" He asked, worried for his Harpy daughter.
"Yes, though I do hope she can control herself." The Harpy Queen said, also worried.
"Dear, I told you, I forgave you long ago," Dean said.
"Doesn't mean I still felt guilty about it! I promise to wait until I got married before having a chick!" The Queen said, making him flinch back a bit.
"Salon..." He started.
"Don't be me wrong! I love Harp! She the best thing that you gave me! Far more important than some silly shiny treasure! But I wanted to wait! But I couldn't fight off my..." The Harpy Queen said before Dean flicks her forehead.
"OW!" She said, flinching.
"Now listen here, Salon! I told you a thousand times, and I'll tell you a thousand more times. I DON'T HATE YOU! Yes, you surprised me that day, but you told me about it before it overtook you. I did try to be prepared, but I wasn't expecting you to show up that night and mate with me. I know you and you're nothing like my parents said. I promise to be a good father to our child and I have done well so far. Whether we give Harp a little brother or a sister, I'll always see them as the people they are. Just like you." He said, smiling.
The Queen Harpy started to sniff as tears started to form in her eyes. Dean sighs. The harpy tears. Something she has when a harpy falls in love with their mate all over again.
"T-Thank you!" She cried, hugging her human husband.
Dean sighs before patting her back. He did worry that Harp might not be able to control herself when the day comes. But he also knew that Harp was just like her mother. If the boy was anything like he heard, then he would forgive her when the time comes.
Armed Harpies nest,
"Good, Good! Easy now." The Queen Armed Harpy said, watching her new daughter flying.
"Careful, Jasmine! Push yourself too hard, and you'll tire yourself out." She said, causing the new Harpy Princess to land.
"I'm tired." She said, panting.
"Take a rest." The Queen said before turning to her guards.
They walked up and set some food down for Jasmine to eat.
"Mom?" Jasmine asked, making the queen look back at her.
"Why are you trying to find a mate for me? I mean, I just become a member of the flock?" She asked.
"Ah, I'm afraid my time is growing short. I wish I could spend more time with you, but I want to make sure that you'll be fine long after I'm gone. We did find a mate for you, but we are having a little trouble thanks to our rivals." The Queen said.
"The Winged Harpies?" Jasmine asked.
"Yes, they are holding him against his will. We're working on a way to free him and bring him here to you." The Queen lied.
"Is he handsome?" Jasmine asked.
"A little on the skinny side when we saw him. But he looked much better than we thought. We told him about you, and he was willy to meet you. That was being the Winged Harpies took him." The Queen said.
"Did you get his name?" Jasmine asked.
"Yes, he said that his name was Daniel." The Queen said.
"Daniel..." Jasmine said, find the name familiar.
"Eat up my, dear. Our flying lessons aren't over yet." The Queen said, breaking her from her thoughts.
Jasmine nodded and started to eat her fish. The Queen turns away, smirking evilly. The girl has completely forgotten everything about her human life. She was now all hers and soon the new Harpy Queen will continue her plans.
With Danny and Harp,
Harp flew through the air, still holding on to Danny. It wasn't long before Danny felt his stomach growl, which Harp heard.
"Time to eat?" She asked.
"Yeah," Danny said, looking around for a place to land.
"There!" Danny said, pointing.
Harp notices the area before flying there. She sets Danny down before landing herself. They quickly check the cave and saw it was empty. Harp then check the nest and saw it was clean. Danny looked around and saw that cave was deep enough for a fire to be lit but not seen. Luckily, there was a hole above them to let the smoke out. As well as rainwater to come in.
"It will have to do," Danny said, wondering how long he would have to sleep like this.
"Nest is all clean. It doesn't look like the Harpy that made it will be returning any time soon." Harp said, making Danny nod.
"Alright. I'm out of berries and I have two fish left." Danny said, getting ready to start a fire.
"I saw a steam close by. I'll check for any fish." Harp said, getting ready to head out.
"Be careful out there Harp. If you need help, sing." Danny told her.
Harp nodded before flying out of the cave. Danny sighs, hoping she would be alright. Danny started the fire and sighs. He was very worried that his family might be gone forever, but he wasn't going to give up. He would do anything to change them back to normal.
With Harp,
Harp found the steam and saw the fish in them. She dove down to catch some for her and Danny. However, Harp was worried about one thing. Tomorrow, the mating season starts. All new Hapries are sent out to find a mate to give them a chick. Unlike her mother, none of the other Harpies mate out of love. They have lost complete control of their lust and get males to mate with them or raped them. But Harp didn't want to rape Danny. She knew that he was still young, but she did fear she would be able to control herself. She heard of how her mother tried to fight her heat only to give in once she went to her father's old home.
'Maybe I should tell him. Before I do something I regret.' Harp thought, catching another fish.
She really did like Danny. She thought of him as her perfect mate. However, her parents taught her how to approach a man and makes sure he was comfortable with her actions. She only hopes she could keep in control long enough to make sure he was.
And I bring you a chapter for Harp, the Ghost Harpy. So, Danny and Harp are still searching around the area for his family and Danny learns that he couldn't keep up his ghost form due to the lack of Ectoplasm in the air. I recall reading a Fanfiction that mentions it, but I don't remember the story's name, and I don't even know if it's still up.
A little more backstory with Harp's parents. I might just write a side story that will cover how they meet in the future.
And it looks as if Jazz has completely forgotten everything about being a human. She doesn't even remember Danny's name anymore.
Harp also notices that it's very close to her flock's mating season. However, she is aware that she could do something that Danny wouldn't like, and is thinking of letting him know. Sounds like I might do the lemon in the next chapter. We'll see.
