Hinata, Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura are sitting on top of the Hokage Mountain. All four of them wore contemplative looks as they gazed at the village.

Moving from right to left, a close-up of each of the four is shown. First is Hinata. Behind her, a translucent figure fades into existence wearing a black cloak and an owl mask with purple markings. The figure perform a spin which knocked up several droplets of water. They stuck out their hands and moved them around swiftly to destroy each droplet before they hit the ground. The figure fades out of existence shortly afterward.

Next is Naruto, and behind him is a translucent figure wearing a black cloak and a fox mask with orange markings. The figure makes a hand sign and several markings glow along his skin. The glow disappeared and the figure ran from left to right with its speed abnormally high. They stop abruptly and pull out a kunai before throwing it forward. The figure fades out of existence shortly afterward.

Then, there's Sasuke, and behind him is a translucent figure wearing a black cloak and a tiger mask with blue markings. The figure unsheathes a black and red katana and holds it in the hanging right stance. They bring the sword down in a diagonal slash to the left, then a horizontal slash to the right, and finally spin around while sparks fly off the katana. The figure fades out shortly afterward.

Finally, it was Sakura, and behind her is a translucent figure wearing a black cloak and a dolphin mask with pink markings. The figure cracks its knuckles and before performing several hand signs. They hold a hand up to their mouth and expel a large purple could from it. They jump out of the cloud while pulling their fist back and punch the ground making it crack. The figure fades out shortly afterward.

A four-way split view of the four sitting in their homes is shown. They all have depressed expressions on their faces as they gaze at the floor. Abruptly they all look up at the same time, each of them now having a determined expression.

Each of the four performs various tasks as if they were preparing themselves for something big. Hinata pulls a blue ribbon out of a drawer and tied it around her forehead with hardened eyes. Naruto paints a kanji on a scroll and seals up a large backpack. Sasuke opens a closet, pulls out a katana, and straps it to his back. Sakura puts together a first aid kit.

The quartet sits on top of the gates to Konoha at night. Four leaves float down from the sky, and each of them holds out their hand to catch them. They stare at the leaves for a while in contemplation before their eyes harden and they crush the leaves in their palms.

The four stand up from their spots on the gate and pull out one mask each from behind their back. They were the same masks that the translucent figures wore. The four placed the masks on their faces. Simultaneously, black cloaks materialize onto them in a golden light starting from the bottom to the top.

The quartet launched themselves off the gate at blinding speeds. They didn't look back as they ran away from the place they used to call home. As they run through the forest, they find themselves surrounded by bandits each wearing disgustingly pleased grins on their faces. The four gaze at the opposition with fierce expressions. They turn to look at each other and give silent nods to their friends.

The four spring into action and take out the bandits one by one. Hinata disables them with Gentle Fist strikes before knocking them out with palm strikes to the head. Naruto creates several clones of himself and they all take out the bandits with punches and kicks. Sasuke pulls out his sword and deflects the weapons thrown his way before cutting down his opponents. Sakura dodges every punch and kick from the bandits and delivers punches of her own to pressure points on their bodies, taking them out of the fight. Hinata, Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura stand up while panting to examine their handy work. Suddenly, another figure appears, this one wearing an ANBU uniform with a Dog mask. Naruto's eyes widen in recognition, and the four lower their guards to walk over to the man.
