Chapter Three

Evelynn

They'd reached the Manor faster than Evelynn had expected; she guessed the stress of their conversations served as motivation to get somewhere. Dawn trotted up to meet them and nuzzled Seranas' hair, with Dusk right behind her, nipping the mares' backside.

"I believe my boy may be smitten." Evelynn laughed and shooed his wandering teeth away from the poor Mare; she'd had the patience of a saint with the eager colt.

"May I ask why you kept her here?" Serana was smiling and petting her horses' nose and mane.

Evelynn ran a hand through her hair. "I've been trying to think of who I would send to that island to deliver her to you…"

"You didn't just sell her?" Serana looked legitimately surprised.

"Of course not. She is yours. Although, you may have to share with Dusk now." Evelynn laughed as the colt began lipping at the mares' tail.

Serana flushed pink; it was a stark contrast on her ivory face. "You didn't have to keep her. I hadn't exactly planned on coming back."

"We're not exactly shy about excessive horses." Evelynn gestured with her arm to show three more horses around the manor. "I have more, in various stables around Skyrim. When I finish building the farm, I'd like to relocate them all there."

Serana just stared at her, a strange look in her eye. Evelynn felt oddly exposed. It made her very uncomfortable.

"What?" Evelyn asked, maybe a bit too defensively.

Serana simply smiled. "You're the first person I've ever seen to just… enjoy anything."

"Well. Why not?" Evelynn felt her ears warming. Maybe this was too childlike.

"No- it's good. Just… most people don't seem to. You just kind of… take everything in stride."

The Imperial shrugged. "I don't really know how else to take it."

"Shall we go meet the pups before bedtime?"

"Um. Sure. But don't… call them that. In there. It's not something we really talk about."

Serana mimed locking her lips and throwing away a key. Evelynn laughed. They walked through the front door.

"Ma! You're home!" Aleson sprinted into an embrace, staggering Evelynn several steps.

Lucia ran behind him, hugging her as well, but more gently. "You wanna play a game?"

Evelynn smiled. "Not right now."

"Aww…" Lucia pouted.

"Hey, guys, this is my friend, Serana." She twisted Aleson around, as he was still attached to her.

Lucia ran to the Nord, touching her armor. "Wow this is a really pretty dress! Mama! Can you bring me a dress like this?"

"I can try," Evelynn laughed. "Serana, these are my children. Aleson, and Lucia."

Serana smiled warmly. "Lucia, thank you very much, although your dress is much prettier. But I'm sure I could help your mother find one of these in your size." She winked at Evelynns' daughter.

"Guys, where is your mother?" Evelynn asked.

"She's in the kitchen, finishing up supper. Are you staying for dinner, Ma?" Alesons' eyes lit up.

Evelynn chuckled, "if your mother would have us."

The kids ran off to the dining room, leaving the women in the foyer. Serana ran her fingers over the snowbear pelt on the mattress.

"You keep a bed in your foyer?"

Evelynn shrugged. "I keep a few spare beds, for those who might need one. I may put one in the cellar, there's plenty of room down there and it's the warmest."

"How very… altruistic of you. Shall we?" Serana gestured to the doorway.

They walked into the dining hall and the smell of the stew was much stronger. Evelynns' mouth watered.

"Well look what the Horker dragged in. Still wandering all over Skyrim and causing trouble?" Marcurio was sitting at the table, drinking merrily.

"Just another day in the life. How are you, friend?" Evelynn grasped his forearm in traditional greeting.

"All is well on the homestead." His trademark Riften grin was infectious.

Camilla emerged from the kitchen with a pot of stew.

"Hello, my lovely wife! Got room for two more?" Evelynn asked her, arms opened wide.

Camilla smiled at Evelynn, then appraised the unexpected guest. She shot Evelynn a side glance. "And who might this be? Your new friend, I take it?"

"Camilla, darling. This is my newest travel companion, and dear friend, Serana. Serana, this is my wife, queen of my home, Camilla." Evelynn gave the same enthusiasm for each introduction.

Serana blushed and offered her hand. "I'm very pleased to meet you, my Lady. This is a lovely home."

Camilla smiled at her knowingly. Then she laughed. "The home is entirely Evelynn. And please, just Camilla. We are all family in this home." Camilla sat the pot on the table and shook the Nords outstretched hand. "Oh my, please, sit. Have supper. You're chilled to the bone!" She pulled out the chair closest to the fireplace and ushered Serana to sit. Evelynn smirked at Serana, who looked unbelievably dumbfounded.

Evelynn didn't much care for sitting at the head of the table, and Serana fit well there. Instead, Evelynn kissed her wifes' cheek and chose the corner seat between the women. "Will Raaya be joining us?"

Camilla rolled her eyes. "You know her guard duty is never done, my love. I did send Llewelyn out with a bowl and bottle for her. He may not be back for a while." Camilla laughed.

"Oh? By the Nine, I have been away." Evelynn grinned and took a long sip of mead.

Serana actually ate the food, much to Evelynns' surprise. "Camilla, your cooking skills are divine."

Camilla thanked her, and offered her some mead. She awkwardly took the mug.

"Serana, I know you prefer wine, but I do recommend the mead. Camilla is truly gifted with all things food and drink related." Evelynn raised her tankard.

Serana returned the toast and went to take a sip, but stopped and stared uncomfortably at the fox that had taken an interest in her. "Um…"

Evelynn burst into laughter. "That's the Mouth-Breather. You don't really get used to it, but he's family."

"Any other pets here?" Serana shifted nervously.

"Just the livestock outside. Don't worry, he hasn't bitten me yet, and he doesn't seem to like me at all."

"Mama, he loves you." Lucia said around a mouthful of food.

Camilla frowned. She disapproved of her daughter not displaying ladylike behavior. She didn't say anything though, as Evelynn wasn't exactly known to act like a lady either.

Serana

"Aleson, your mother tells me that she teaches you some about weapons?" Serana mused, sipping her mead and appreciating it.

"Oh yeah! She's given me a frost dagger recently. And she's taught me a little of bow hunting. She won't let me touch the crossbow, though." He frowned slightly.

"Master control with your hunting bow, my son, then we will revisit the crossbow." Evelynn laughed. "You are not ready for that kind of power."

"Your mother taught me to use a crossbow a little, I can say it has quite the kickback." Serana smiled at the boy.

Serana felt oddly… happy. Sitting at this large table, feasting with this genuinely merry family, it was completely foreign to her. She was sure that, even as a human, her own family never behaved so… joyously. Evelynns' family was every bit as charming as she'd thought from the way the Imperial spoke of them. Serana felt privileged to be in their presence.

She wasn't sure why no one seemed to acknowledge that she was a vampire. It had to be obvious, even to humans. Camilla had only brushed off the coldness of her skin by warming her by the fire. She was beginning to understand why Evelynn was quiet about her wolf. It didn't seem necessarily that they hated such things. Just that it… truly did not matter what you were. Here in this place… you were family.

Supper was soon over, much to the kids disappointment, and it was time to clean up and go to bed. Serana walked around the large, open room, looking at this small piece of Evelynns' life, as they put their kids to bed. There were random plants and such scattered about. The fox that they called Mouth-Breather continued to stalk her. Serana noticed the alchemy table off to the side, making sense of the random collection of plants; ingredients.

"Serana, it was grand to dine with you this evening. I'm glad to have finally met you." Camilla said softly behind her. Startled, she whipped around to face the brunette, and smiled.

"Finally? Has she mentioned me?"

"Not by name, dear. But I know. I hope you don't find it too forward of me to say, but Evelynn has a good heart. Please take care of it. In many ways she is young, but I've never met someone so genuine and pure. She seems to be able to breathe around you. Please don't take that for granted." The woman lightly squeezed her arm.

Serana was in shock. That had been quite forward. "She's your wife…"

Camilla chuckled. "Yes, and we love each other very much. But we were never destined to be in love. I know what she sees in you. She doesn't have it in her to be disappointed for herself. She'd never press upon this. Has she told you she has feelings for you?"

Serana could feel the blush in her cheeks. "No, my Lady." Not… exactly.

Camilla only smiled. "That seems like her. Just… don't ignore those feelings. She will ignore them enough for the both of you, and you'll never really find each other."

Serana could hear the children giggling as Evelynn told them a story about fighting a Dragon. She nodded at Camilla and thanked her for her honesty, then she went and sat on a bench nearest the children's room to listen.

"... I told you that it was bigger than this house, yeah? Bigger than two houses! The bolt I'd put in it couldn't have been worse than a splinter. Anyway this gargantuan beast was crying on and on like a wee little babe," the children laughed again, "Marcurio thought throwing magick at this beast was the way to go. Mages, yeah? Daft ol' Riften boy forgot that Dragons have magick too. Whaddya think our Marcurio learns here?"

"To dodge?" Lucia offered.

"Frostbite?" Aleson suggested.

Evelynn laughed. "A bit of both, actually. Ask him one day, ask uncle Marcurio about the scar on his right arm, tell him it looks like a snowflake he'll love that. Anyway, I had to fire two more bolts into this monster, before he would come down and really play. Oy was he mad, talking all kinds of shite to me and uncle Marcurio. He was runnin' straight at me. This close, he was this close to biting my head clean off. And he caught my dagger right into the throat. But the scaly bastard did cut me just here and I've got a scar that looks a bit like the dagger dontcha think?"

"Oh lovely, our children will have the same profane vocabulary that you do." Camilla walked into the room.

Serana swore she could hear the Imperial blush. "Aye… Kids, why'd ya have to be such a bad influence on me?" The kids howled with laughter.

"Alright alright. It is time for bed. Say goodnight."

The children begrudgingly said their goodnights and Evelynn loudly kissed each of them and headed out of the room. She saw Serana sitting by the door and froze, her ears turning red. Serana laughed.

"You tell marvelous stories, Dovahkiin."

Evelynn just waved it off. "They asked for a bedtime story. They love hearing about Dragons."

"I might've enjoyed it as well." Serana grinned.

Camilla emerged from the room. "Will you be spending your time in the cellar tonight, my love?" She asked Evelynn.

Evelynn just grinned.

"Serana, don't let this one bore you too much with her playing with fire. There are beds everywhere, sleep anywhere you'd like. Evelynn there are clean rags and fresh water in the cellar. Goodnight my love." She kissed Evelynns' cheek.

"Goodnight, darling."

Camilla headed up the stairs.

"Does she not sleep in your family bedroom?" Serana asked her.

Evelynn smiled toward the staircase. "Not often, no."

Evelynn

In the cellar, Evelynn got to work at the forge. She'd decided to practice her jewelry making skills. There was plenty of silver and some gold to work with, and her safe was full of gemstones she'd scavenged from caves and crypts. She grabbed a silver ingot, and paused.

"...does this bother you?" She showed the metal to the vampire.

Serana laughed. "Not unless it hits my bloodstream, no."

"So it won't hurt you if I manipulate it in here?"

Serana shook her head.

"Is it odd? Spending time with a non vampire?"

Serana looked at the door in the ceiling, almost nervous.

"Don't worry, no one will come down here this late."

The Nord relaxed. "It has its odd moments. Is it odd for you? Spending time with a vampire?"

Evelynn thought on it for a moment. "I think the strangest part is how… normal it feels. With a few differences." She smiled at the silver.

Serana nodded. She sat in the chair near the forge; the chair that Evelynn usually sat in nude to dry after bathing. Evelynn tried not to notice. The vampire watched her intently as she worked the metal.

"This is what you do here when you don't sleep?" Serana asked her, hugging one knee to her chest in the chair.

"This or something like it. I only finished building this house a short time ago, so I haven't had much free time here.

"You… built this house? With your own two hands?"

"Every iron nail."

"Is that what your wife meant? That this house was entirely you?"

Evelynn burned her hand with the metal and winced. "I guess so."

"It was smart to put your forge down here. You built that too?"

Evelynn nodded, focusing on getting the right amount of metal to work with.

"You take pride in the things you make."

Evelynn shrugged. "If you're going to do something, why not do it the best you can?" She began boring out the center hole and stretching the metal.

"Does that hurt?"

Evelynn laughed. "Sometimes."

"Why do you do it?"

"The best things in this life can hurt sometimes. If it's not going to kill me, why be afraid of it?"

Serana flushed red, and Evelynn wasn't sure why. "You're quite the philosopher."

Evelynn just shook her head and rolled her eyes, smoothing out the hot metal. Serana got up to explore her haven. She opened the chest full of animal hides and leather.

"You killed all of these animals?"

"Waste not, want not." Evelynn grinned. She started on the settings gently with her hammer.

Serana moved on to her collection of dragon bones and scales. "So I see."

Evelynn was satisfied with the general shape, and went to put the piece into the cooling water.

"I've read this before."

Evelynn looked up to see what Serana was holding. It was her copy of The Lusty Argonian Maid: Vol. I. Evelynn burned her hand again in the hissing water trough. She gritted her teeth and inhaled sharply through her nose. This woman would be the death of her.

"My mother has the second volume in her secret collection somewhere. I found it once before it disappeared. I used to sneak in and read her books before..."

Evelynn tried not to think of Serana reading erotic books as she dug through her gemstones; onyx and a flawless ruby would work well. She set to work placing the stones into the still warm silver; oval ruby in the center, framed by two shards of broken onyx. Perfect. She began polishing and cleaning it up.

"Voila!" Evelynn presented the ring to the vampire with exaggeration.

Serana stared, and caressed the silver. "It's beautiful…"

"Try it on."

Serana just stared.

"I mean. If you want it. You were the inspiration." Evelynn shrugged.

Seranas' throat trembled and her eyes blazed in the firelight.

"What? What did I do?" Evelynn panicked. "I thought you said it wouldn't bother you. I can make something else. I have gold. Or if that's too pure I have like… iron? Steel? Or I don't have to make anything. I'm sor-"

Serana put her hands on either side of Evelynns' face and kissed her. Once. Hard. Then she took a step back with her face perfectly composed again.

Evelynn just stared at the floor.

"Thank you. I accept my present." Send held out her hand expectantly.

Evelynn hesitated. She considered putting it on her finger, but that felt too intimate. Serana wiggled her fingers impatiently and Evelynn just set the ring in her palm. Serana slid it into place.

"It fits." She smiled.

"Good."

Serana cocked her head to the side. "You don't handle emotions well, do you?"

"It appears as though you don't either."

"That's… fair." Serana said cautiously.

"Okay." Evelynn turned to start cleaning up her crafting materials, feeling oddly drained.

"Why does your wife think you have feelings for me?"

Evelynns' ears burned and her face flared. "Because I do. So what? It doesn't matter."

"It matters to me…" Seranas' voice was barely a whisper.

"It shouldn't. Don't worry about it. I know you don't want to be with anyone like that. I understand why. I'm not upset. This doesn't have to be a big deal."

"You're right." Serana scrunched her brows together.

Evelynn went to the wash basin and poured in water; cold. She took a rag from the bucket and poured the oil on it. She scrubbed her face of sweat and dirt, scrubbed her arms, even paid meticulous attention to her fingernails. She submerged her face in the basin, hoping to wash away the discomfort. She took another clean rag, but just held it in her hand, letting the water and oils drip from her skin.

"But… I want you." Serana was behind her.

"I don't know what that means, Serana." Evelynn dried her hands and arms.

"I don't either."

Evelynn laughed. "Good, we're on the same page." She retrieved fresh clothes from the drawer.

She felt suddenly filthy. She needed to bathe. Wash away this feeling. She didn't even care that Serana was there, she needed this feeling to be gone. She untied her armor and just let it clatter to the floor. She stripped off her under clothes and dipped the rag in the water. It was hot. She turned to look at Serana, but she'd turned her back; given her privacy.

"Thank you." She said softly.

"You're welcome."

Evelynn scrubbed. And scrubbed. And scrubbed… she could feel her skin becoming raw and angry. But the feeling was still there. She needed it gone. She grabbed another rag. More cleaning oil. Lavender. It was lavender today. She wanted to curl up inside the basin and stay in the too hot water. Her skin was starting to dot with blood. She hadn't even realized she was crying until Serana placed her hands over hers, stopping them.

Serana looked her in the eye, cautiously. She took the rag from Evelynn. Moving slowly, she reached toward the Imperial; giving her time to move, or say no. Evelynn just stood there and closed her eyes tight.

Serana was gentle. Tentative. Working the rag over her shoulders, her back, her arms. The water seemed to heat more. Evelynn just wanted her to scrub harder. Somehow this seemed to hurt worse. Serana dipped the rag again, and ran it under her jaw. Over her neck. Softly. Evelynn could feel more tears on her cheeks and she hated them. She moved the cloth over Evelynns' breasts. Evelynn gritted her teeth and hissed.

Serana ran a thumb over Evelynns' tears, wiping them away. Evelynn had never felt so like a child before in her memory. The rag moved over her stomach. Her hips. Down her legs. Almost over. The feeling was unbearable. Evelynn lowered her head and waited for Serana to finish. This was too hard. Evelynn heard the rag dip in the water again. Slowly and suddenly, the hot rag was pressed against the curls of her sex.

Fur pricked the back of Evelynns' neck and her eyes shot open. Serana was standing in front of her. So close. Touching her. Her face was stone, but her eyes burned amber into Evelynns'. Her jaw muscles twitched. Very carefully, Serana moved the rag between Evelynns' legs.

Evelynn opened her mouth and gasped. She felt like she was falling apart. The feeling was shredding her. She needed to hold onto something. Her knees wavered and she reached for Serana.

"No." Seranas' thick voice rang softly.

Evelynn shook, but she was determined to stand. Gods make it stop. She wanted to carve it out. Just make it stop.

Serana

She'd just wanted the Imperial to stop hurting herself. She'd wanted to soothe her, but she hadn't known how. She'd taken the rag from her and taken over washing, careful not to touch the wolfs' skin with her own.

The tears cascading down her face had shattered her. She'd not meant to cause her pain. This was her fault. She wiped away the tears, struggling to ignore the fire in her fingertips. Serana hadn't wanted to grope her, but she needed to wash her. Serana tried not to linger on her scars, on her toned muscles, on her perfect breasts. She'd never been with a woman, but she'd never met one so tragically beautiful. The Imperial kept her eyes shut, refusing to look at what was happening. Serana realized she'd have to wash… everything.

The moment Serana touched the rag to Evelynns' soft curls, her fangs throbbed; aching, begging. The Imperials silver eyes locked on hers and she froze. Silver flames. She tried hard to feel nothing as she delved the cloth in further, washing Evelynn intimately. The whispers began; to take her and possess her and devour the sweetest soul. Evelynn reached for her.

No.

She hadn't realized she'd said it aloud, but Evelynn dropped her hands and stood tall. Serana closed her eyes, hoping cutting off the sight would be easier. Serana had to step closer as she reached the cloth behind Evelynn, washing her backside.

The Imperials face was inches from her neck. Serana shivered, feeling her breath. Evelynn leaned closer, inhaling. Her nose skimmed Seranas throat. Too close.

No!

Serana exploded, shoving Evelynn backward into the basin. The smell of blood invaded the vampires nostrils and her fangs screamed for the fresh wound. Serana covered her mouth in horror. She'd hurt her. Again.

"Evelynn- I'm so sorry. I… I'm…" I'm what? A monster?

Evelynn seemed to still completely, calm washing over her. She reached behind her and found a gash on the back of her hip; fresh blood on her fingertips. Slowly, deliberately, she approached the vampire.

"... Do that again."

"I'm so sorry…" Serana choked out.

"Do it. Again. Now."

"Evelynn…"

"Please…"

Serana didn't know what to do. She wanted to help but the woman was asking so much.

"Stay." Serana went back to the chest by the forge and found leather strips.

When she returned, Evelynn had her back to Serana. Her arms were bracing her up on the basin. The cut on her hip was not terrible, but Serana wanted to heal it. She knew, however, that Evelynn wasn't ready to be healed. She understood the confusing, desperate need that was filling Evelynns' soul. Serana pulled Evelynns' hands behind her back, tying them together with the strap. The woman needed to stop touching her.

"You'll need to tie it tighter than that." Evelynn said softly.

Serana cinced the leather harder. And turned Evelynn to face her. She still wasn't sure what to do; she wasn't going to just keep throwing her into things. Serana looked at her fully; naked, still, perfect.

"You're so beautiful." Serana told her, caressing her cheek.

It felt unbalanced. Serana took off her corset plate, breathing deeply. Then her shirt.

"What are you doing?"

"Don't speak." Serana said, resigned.

The vampire stripped almost completely bare, except the fine underwear. She stood close to Evelynn, their breasts almost touching.

"Tell me what you want, Evelynn."

"I want… I want you."

"Are you sure?" Serana searched her eyes for uncertainty, but she found only pain and expectation.

"Yes." Evelynn whispered.

Serana touched her. With her bare hands, she caressed Evelynns' neck. She trailed her collarbones. She cupped Evelynns' breasts, and smiled, softly kissing the top of each one. Serana circled the Imperials' dark pink nipples, feeling her own body responding. She pinched them; hard.

Evelynn closed her eyes and inhaled sharply. She liked pain. Serana caressed her cheek again. Then slapped her. Evelynn yelped a low moan. Serana couldn't hurt her anymore. It killed her to look at Evelynn as a target. Serana kissed her, hard. Forcing Evelynns' mouth open, she licked inside, tasting her. Serana put her arms around her, grabbing her thighs and lifting. Having the woman's legs wrapped around her made her head spin and her fangs ache. Serana set Evelynn on the washbasin and leaned her back against the wooden support.

She pushed Evelynns' legs open, so far that they surely ached. She held Evelynns' throat as gently as she could while her other hand touched her sex. Serana groaned into Evelynns' mouth. So warm… so wet. She could feel Evelynns' muscles twitch and tighten as she moved her fingers over her sensitive flesh. Serana kissed her neck, her chest, her stomach. Serana held Evelynns' thighs apart and licked. Evelynn gasped.

Oh gods the taste.

Serana moaned against her, causing her to squirm. She'd never tasted anything so erotic. Not even… no. She would not think of the Dragons' blood. Her own thighs pressed together in need. She could not remain upright. She stopped and dragged Evelynn to the stone floor. She propped Evelynns' knees in the air and buried her face in her curls, devouring the hot, slick flesh. Her nipples scraped the rough stone and she groaned again.

Evelynn was writhing beneath her. Bucking and moaning for her. Serana slipped one finger inside and stroked her quivering walls. Evelynn cried out and curved her body upward, pressing her sex hard against Seranas mouth. She sucked and pushed another finger inside her. Evelynn shook violently, and Serana could feel the sticky wetness from her own body.

"Please… Serana please…" hearing her name caused her abdomen to ripple.

She climbed over Evelynn and kissed her mouth. "You taste divine. See?" She licked Evelynns' tongue.

"Bite me…" Evelynn whispered against her lips.

Her fangs ached hard. She wanted to argue, but she couldn't. Spellbound, she licked the side of Evelynns' neck, feeling the blood pulsing. She had barely enough of a mind to miss the artery, and she penetrated her. Evelynn locked her legs around the vampire and screamed as climax took hold. Serana could taste the orgasm and ecstasy in her blood as she drank. Her head spun into Oblivion and she drank, and climaxed with her. She thrust her pelvis against Evelynn and moaned and drank. And drank...

She collapsed on the Imperial, withdrawing her fangs and shakily breathing against her neck. She rolled onto her back. Taking Evelynn with her. Serana reached and set Evelynns' hands free and laid back, cradling the dragon to her naked body.

"Was that… bad?" Evelynn asked between breaths.

Serana laughed and hugged her tightly. "No, Dovahkiin. That was certainly not bad."

Evelynn

Evelynn laid on the Nord, feeling an odd mix of completion and not quite… satisfied. She wanted to touch Serana, hold her. But she knew the vampire would not like that. She let Serana run her fingers through her hair. It felt divine, but… incomplete. She hungered for things the vampire could not give, and now those things glared her in the face, mocking her.

"Have you ever done that before?" Serana asked her quietly.

Evelynn smiled into the Nords skin. "Not exactly like that. Not that I know of. Have you?"

"Never."

"I'd never be able to tell that."

Serana squeezed her arms around her. It felt so close and intimate, yet there seemed to be a barrier between them still.

"Are you afraid?" She asked Serana.

"Yes."

"Me too…"

"Well… I'd like to try… together. If you want."

Together was what terrified Evelynn. But the thought if being separate was… unimaginable. "... I want." Something seared her soul and she knew there was no going back. She hoped the Dawnguard would still have her. She didn't have to tell them how completely she'd given herself to a vampire, but if they asked she would not lie.

"Would you… like to hunt together?" Serana asked her nervously.

"That reminds me, you ate. Food. I didn't realize you could…"

"I can, but it doesn't do anything for me other than taste."

"So… you don't want to hunt for meat, I take it?"

"No, Dovahkiin. I'm quite depleted… I need to replenish my strength."

"Watching you hunt is… different. For me. I'm not sure it would be helpful to you for me to be present."

"I was thinking… about a different side of you…"

"You want me to turn? In front of you?" Evelynn struggled to sit up and look at her incredulously.

"I can see you're struggling with something inside of you. I want you to let it out." Serana caressed her cheek softly.

"I'm not struggling with my wolf Serana. You don't want me to let it out."

"It's not violence that you crave?"

"Not that kind." Although her hackles threatened to raise in excitement. Her wolf was definitely responding to the chaos inside her.

"Evelynn… it's hard to look at you like that. With the intention to hurt you."

She understood every bit of her predicament. Evelynn was willing to bleed herself dry for Serana to not feel any pain. But understanding didn't make the need go away. The back of her hip throbbed slightly, as if reminding her. The abrasions on her shoulders whispered to her. She thought of provoking Serana to attack her, but the thought sickened her. If Serana was to give her what she now knew she craved, it would be entirely her choice. Evelynn would never force her. Serana would always have a choice with her.

"I'll need to know when it's okay to touch you. It's difficult to guess."

Serana was silent and still for several moments. "It's difficult to… feel you wanting me."

"This seems to be okay, right?" Evelynn took her hand and laced their fingers together.

"It's… unsettling. But pleasant."

"How much blood do you need?" Evelynn blurted out suddenly.

"Uh… I… why?"

"Because… Could you take it from me?" Evelynn felt hopeful.

"Not enough, Dovahkiin. If I take any more from you at one time… it will change what I am. I'm… not ready."

Right… Evelynns' wolf blood would take over… burning out the vampire. There was something… enticing about the idea of being so completely inside Serana, filling her, claiming her. But Evelynn did not want to change Serana just to be together. She'd fallen in love with exactly everything that she was.

"I don't want you to see me like that..."

"I can taste it in you, you know. In your blood. I'm… incredibly fond of it. I don't want you to feel embarrassed."

"I'm not embarrassed. I'm just different. I'm not particularly interested to find out how my wolf responds to a vampire. She's not easily reasoned with. I can't hurt you."

"I see. What do you recommend?"

Evelynn thought about it. The Silver Hand was her natural enemy. Seranas' enemy too. They hated anything unnatural. But Evelynn was horrified by everything they could do to Serana with their silver weapons.

"I'm not sure. But it will be daylight soon, what do you need?"

Serana laughed. "After you, I need sleep, Dovahkiin. We will figure things out after sunset."

Evelynn sighed, and crawled off the vampire, suddenly aware of how naked she was. She grabbed the clothes from the small dresser and began pulling on the underwear and pants, her back to Serana. She noticed the wash basin had a small, jagged break in the stone. That must have been why it cut her so easily. Evelynn blushed as she felt a tingle.

"By the Blood! Did I do all of that to you?" Serana sounded mortified.

Evelynn looked over her shoulder and saw an awkward view of the bruising, bloody splotches across her upper back. She shrugged. "I'm going to say it is technically your fault, but I'm sure the floor had a lot to do with it."

Serana blushed. And reached out a hand towards the mess on her back and shoulders. Evelynn twisted away.

"No– don't… I don't want it to be as if nothing happened. Leave it. Please."

Serana furrowed her brows. "Will… will you at least let me clean it?"

Evelynn shrugged, and let Serana have her back again. The vampire poured fresh water into the fractured basin. There was a slow drip, but it would hold for now. Evelynn could hear the water boiling under Seranas magick, but she could not see it from the floor.

"This is going to sting." Serana warned. Evelynn tried not to squirm at the thought.

The fresh cloth was so hot it felt like fire on her raw skin. She whimpered and relaxed under the wonderfully painful feeling. Serana froze.

"I need you to… not make those sounds. Please." Her voice was rough and shaky.

"I'm… nnh! Sorry…"

"Gods, I don't have it in me to go again. With as much as you like me biting you, you'll have me a werewolf by dawn. I don't actually have the self control that you seem to think I do. Everything about you is the most intoxicating thing I've ever tasted. It is difficult to not indulge."

"That's… not helping." Evelynn pressed her thighs together, the leather pants creaking in restraint.

"You… like driving me mad?" Serana gently wiped the scalding rag over her.

"Yes." Evelynns' ears flamed red.

"I like this. The color is beautiful." Seranas traced her finger over Evelynns' sensitive ear.

"Stop…" Evelynn breathed as she closed her eyes.

"It's… harder than I thought."

She let Serana clean the dirt and blood from her shoulders and she tried to stifle the sounds of enjoyment that lingered in her throat. She'd wanted pain. And this almost hurt. And it felt glorious.

"Fuck…" she groaned hard and curled her knees to her chest.

"Evelynn, don't."

"I can't…" Evelynn wrapped her arms around herself tightly.

"What are you doing to me, woman?" Serana was breathing hard.

"I'm… falling."

Serana stopped and sat on her knees in front of the Dragonborn. She kissed her so softly. Evelynn wanted to taste more of her, she ran her tongue over the vampires lip and sighed.

"Dammit woman, will you stop? I can't drink any more of you!"

"I didn't ask you to…"

"I can feel you, Evelynn. I can smell and taste you wanting me and it aches. I want all of you. Including that seductive blood inside you, but I can't."

"What if… I kiss you?"

"I was kissing you."

"No… I want… I want to kiss you like you kissed me…" Evelynn could feel her face heat and pulse as she lowered her eyes to the only sexy silk that covered Seranas' otherwise naked body.

Serana shifted, understanding in her eyes. And fear.

"I wouldn't touch you in any other way. I won't if you don't want me to. I just… crave you."

Serana struggled with her mind. But she laid down one of the larger clean rags on the floor and gently eased Evelynn backward on it. She kissed her softly and retrieved the leather strap again. Evelynn offered her wrists without hesitation. Serana smiled and lightly kissed her palms before tying them together, in front of her this time. Evelynn could feel her heart pounding as she watched Serana slowly stand up, and slide the lingerie down to her ankles. Evelynn exhaled and realized she'd been holding her breath. Serana delicately kicked the underwear aside and straddled Evelynns' waist.

She took the Imperials bound hands and pinned them to the floor above her head. Kissed her, slowly and deeply. Evelynn could feel the vampires excitement dripping onto her skin. She groaned and shifted under her, her toes clenching. Serana moved up Evelynns' body, leaving a slick trail up her stomach. The Nord pulled Evelynns' hands up higher, holding them tightly as she lowered herself onto Evelynns' eagerly waiting mouth.

Fuck…!

Evelynn licked. And drank. Oh gods, she tasted of the purest spring water and the sweetest wine. Evelynn moved her mouth, using her lips and her tongue to tell how much she loved her. Her arms ached with tension, and she moaned into Seranas' sex. Serana cried out, and moved her hips. Oh it was hard to breathe. Evelynn could feel herself pooling again as Serana Fucked her mouth. Hard. She'd hoped to make love to her, but if Serana just needed to use her body to break free, gods she'd do it. As many times as she needed.

Serana pulled herself upright and fisted one hand into Evelynns' hair, and clutched at Evelynns' ribs with the other. Breathing heavily, she rocked her hips back and forth, grinding herself into Evelynns' kiss. Evelynn felt the build. She hadn't meant to take so much pleasure in this but she knew she would. The world was spinning. She'd wanted to please Serana, but in doing so her own sex begged release. Again.

Serana moved faster. Harder. Oh gods Evelynn would not last long this way. Serana dragged her nails across Evelynns' ribs and the Nord groaned and squirmed in need. She felt the instant Serana found her release, because hers racked through her in the same moment. Serana let out a piercing scream and stilled and gripped the Imperials hair hard, dripping her orgasm into her mouth. Evelynn swallowed all of it. She wasn't ready to be finished. She kissed the slick flesh softly. Serana jerked and fell to the side, laughing. Euphoric.

"Gods, you greedy little mutt. I'm centuries out of practice, have mercy." She kissed the corner of Evelynns' swollen lips.

Evelynn struggled to catch her breath, the aftershocks still ricocheting through her. She licked her lips and Serana groaned.

"How are we ever going to get out of here? It's a constant cycle of cleaning you up and making messes again."

"We could go for a swim? The water is cold enough… it should help." Evelynn offered, flexing her numb fingers.

Serana loosed the leather tie and Evelynn sat up, massaging her wrists. "A swim sounds lovely." Serana smiled.

"I have to tell you something first."

"What is it?" She sounded suddenly serious.

Evelynn looked her in the eye. "I'm incredibly fond of the way you taste, too." She grinned.

Serana growled and tackled her to the floor again, kissing her hungrily.

Evelynn

It was just before dawn before they made it out to the lake. The pending sunrise cast shades of violet and burgundy across the moons. The brighter stars were still watching over them. It would be a short swim as Serana was already uncomfortable. But it was incredible to see her so scarcely clad in the early morning. She watched the vampire stand on the bank watching the unusually calm water. Evelynn sprinted and jumped into the refreshingly chilled lake, effectively scaring away the wildlife. She broke the surface and saw Serana standing there, laughing at her.

"Come on in. There's stuff in here that bites, but you're scarier than any of them. C'mon." Evelynn splashed the vampires feet.

"It's cold."

Evelynn laughed. "It's supposed to be. What, are you too spoiled by your magickal hot water to swim in a lake? I thought you'd abandoned your pampered life as a noblewoman."

Serana narrowed her eyes and dove in the water at her, appearing as though she'd meant to fight. But she burst through the water too quickly.

"It's fucking cold, Evelynn!"

Evelynn burst into a fit of laughter, spitting out the water that had poured in. "Such language from a Lady." She swam towards her. Serana splashed water at her face.

"It's n-not funny you m-mongrel." She said through chattering teeth.

Evelynn smothered a giggle. "It's kind of funny… I thought Nords could handle the cold?"

"Not the wet and cold." She made a sound of exasperation, trying to adjust to the temperature.

"You want me to warm you up?" Evelynn pulled her hand until they were pressed against each other.

"That's why we came out here in the first place," she pushed away from Evelynn. "Down, girl."

Evelynn laughed. Something about her recent outburst of dog insults was… hot. Evelynn stuck her tongue out in exaggerated panting. Serana rolled her eyes and kissed her cheek before swimming out further.

"I'd stay away from the west, the hunters are probably at it already. Friendly enough, but don't scare away their game."

Serana looked to the west in thought. "If I asked you to wait here for a minute, would you trust me?"

"I'll always trust you." Evelynn smiled.

Serana swam out around the bend and disappeared. Evelynn floated on her back and watched the sky. A few birds got their start as the colors started to dull, signaling the approaching dawn. Evelynn breathed in the warming air with a smile on her face, perfectly relaxed.

A sharp sting on her thigh jolted her out of her euphoria. She jerked in the water, inhaling a small bit of it.

"Oh you fucking prick!" She grabbed the slaughterfish and swiftly broke its neck, tossing it out towards the hunters; it'd serve as bait well enough.

Serana came walking back from the west, ducking through the trees. She looked… wild. Dripping water down to her muddy toes. Her hair was wet and chaotically gorgeous. Evelynn stared.

"Thank you for waiting." She got back in the water. "Ugh. It's cold again."

Evelynn smiled. "It's cold still. Where'd you go?"

"I'm exceptionally cranky in the morning, if you didn't catch on. I wanted to stop taking it out on you. I just went for a quick bite." She flashed a fangy grin.

Evelynns' heart dropped. "But they're good people Serana… I gave them permission to be here." Evelynn started for their camp to check on them.

"Oh relax. It was elk."

Evelynn paused, curious. "You can… hunt animals?"

"Can't you?" She countered.

"Well… yes."

"And do they taste as good as humans?" Serana cocked an eyebrow.

Evelynns' ears heated. "No." She looked away. "Well. Sabre Cats are okay."

Serana giggled. "And the animals can still give you what you need to get by?"

"Yes."

Serana wrapped her arms around Evelynns' waist. "So worry not, I'm not here to make your life harder."

"Oh you make a great many things harder, Lass."

Serana laughed and kissed her. Evelynn wanted to caress every inch of her skin, but instead she just licked her lower lip. And pulled away, making an odd face.

"What?" Serana looked nervous.

"I see what you mean. You tasted much better when you ate that blonde guy." She grinned at the vampire.

Serana scoffed and dunked Evelynn under the water. Frolicking in the water like this, made it easy to forget the more important things they should be doing. But everything had an end, as did the Night, and the wonderful and tragic things that happened occasionally. The sun broke the sky and Serana sighed, taking in the sight with her discomfort. Evelynn took her hand.

"It's time for you to sleep, My Love. We'll get started on our travels at nightfall."
