NAME: The Blank Slate

DESCRIPTION: A small briefcase about 1 foot by 1foot.
LEVEL: Rumor
INFORMATION: The Blank Slate is to be kept in a large briefcase lined with velvet interior locked with a digital combo lock that's changed every week. The Blank Slate is a small suitcase about one foot tall and one foot wide about the size of a lunch box made of leather with bronze clips. It has the ability to make the user unnoticeable to those around them from all biological perceptions. Which is fancy wording for making them invisible. Their clothing and any object they currently on hand will also be invisible. The second any article of clothing or whatever item they have on hand leaves their body, will become visible. Any object they handle in their invisible state will not become invisible, but the opposite to all around them.
There is however a horrific downside. Continuous use of anomaly will erase their very existence from all records. Anything that has their name whether written or digital on it will fade away until there is nothing. Friends and family members memories of the user will fade away until there is nothing. Soon the users own memories and any identifying traits will fade away until they are nothing. In the end their whole body will fade into nothing. In essence: They will be nobody and nothing.
HISTORY: At Beacon Academy, over the course of a week and a half, someone has been breaking into the student's dorms and ransacking the room. The only thing in common was the rooms were a combination of mixed and all female teams and women's underwear was being taken. ARC CORP Containments Branch Jaune Arc and Blake Belladonna have been called in to investigate. It was discovered that it was a Triple A Incident. Anomaly Abused by Anonymous Individual. It is where an unknown individual discovers an Anomaly in the form of an object and abuses it without knowing the consequences of using it.
After interviewing the students whose rooms have been ransacked, Jaune announced that he had discovered who was responsible. This was a ruse to make the individual come to them.
After a large skirmish in their borrowed room followed by a chase to the student track along with another skirmish, they separated the Anomaly from the individual via slicing their hand which held the Anomaly from their arm. But by then, the damage was already done to them. They used the Anomaly to move around campus unnoticed, so not they are forever unnoticed by anyone. All records both digital and physical of this individual have been erased. Anyone who tried to get a look at their face will avert their eyes to another aspect of their body. As of now the individual, now known as Prisoner 61405 has been committed to vale's Appleton asylum for the rest of their days.
Jaune Arc of ARC CORP Containments branch has a theory on how to undo the effects of the Anomaly on Prisoner 61405. It requires Anomaly 060; The Reversal Camera.
The Reversal Camera is a Schnee Brand T21 Digital camera that has the ability to revert whatever object or person in the image to their original state 60 seconds ago. However, the individual taking the image ages the same amount. When used in its video recording setting. The object reverts back to their original state 60fps while aging the user the same amount.
It is his theory that by using the camera in its video recording state, it can restore their identity of the individual. While this theory is sound, there are two downsides. The first being that only their memory will be restored to 61405, while paper and digital records along with friends and families memories will not be restored. The second is how to take their video without succumbing to its effects.
The answer: Atlas.
The Kingdom of Atlas is known for its technological advancements, most notably; its robotics division. His plan is to purchase one of their robots, specifically one of their older models which is being phased out of production and have it record them. While a machine doesn't age the same way normal flesh does, it is possible for it to be unaffected in the long term. But it will age, just not as extensive as a human or faunus would.
Currently this plan is still in development and is yet to be implemented.
After reading Chapter 7 of Arc Corp, it made sad that No One will be missed by their loved ones, that they will spend the rest of their lives with no meaningful connections with anyone due to them abusing The Blank Slate. I then thought to myself, surely there might be a way to undo their condition. Then it hit me, The Camera. If it can reverse an object or person back to their original state 60 seconds ago, surely it could restore them. so I made this chapter along with writing that bit of hope for No One.
