Anomaly 316
NAME: An Immersive Tabletop Game
CLASSIFICATION: A
DESCRIPTION: One Barricades and Beowolves Tabletop roleplaying game that includes the following:
One Barricade Masters screen
Four to six pre-made character sheets
Assorted character figurines
Assorted dice
Assorted maps
Random Campaign and/or Adventure Book that changes every two weeks
LEVEL: Rumor
INFORMATION: Anomaly 316 is to be contained in a large clear storage container with two additional locks on the lid. Similar in nature to Anomaly 109 An Immersive Book. When played, Anomaly 316 transports the players into whatever Campaign or Adventure of Barricades and Beowolves is currently selected. Currently unknown how it selects its Campaign or Adventure. Players will be given the appearance, mannerisms, and stats of whatever player they are currently playing regardless of race, gender and alignment. Anomaly 316 is limited to the amount of players based on its six pre-made Character sheets. if the number exceeds that amount, the remaining characters will be transformed into NPCs of any allignment or as the main villain of the game being played.
The Barricade Master will take the form of a demigod-like entity that will provide the players with clues, adversaries, dice to roll and plot of the adventure. Believed to be Anomaly 316 in a corporeal form to interact with players. The barricade Master will always appear as a four foot tall short human in red robes, long grey beard and elf-like ears with clear blue eyes with a blue wizards hat with moon and stars on his head.
Aware of what it is doing, The Barricade Master does not see itself as evil, it simply wants to play the game. It will however, give incentive to players who want out. They simply have to finish the game to completion. Finds amusement and entertainment in the players actions, both positive and neutral. If the players do something negative, it will be saddened and in some cases, disappointed.
Depending on how the players roll their dice, The Barricade Master can and will answer any questions about itself.
Everything within the game will look and feel real, up to and including injuries. Any player that dies will die for real and will be ejected back into the real world.
Once the game concludes, the players will be sent back to the real world with no injuries whatsoever. However, there are some side effects. Side effects include memories of their character staying with them even in the real world alongside their mannerisms and speech. Testing has shown that these side effects are only temporary and will fade over the course of a few weeks.
Other tests performed on this Anomaly have shown interesting details. If one of the players were to slip their own character sheet from a separate Barricades and Beowolves game, the Anomaly would allow that player to become said character. At the end of the game, a random player will be given one random item from the game and bring it back into the real world. Unfortunately, the item will begin to fade away after a few days and return to the Anomaly itself.
