Anomaly 011
NAME: Covered in Shadows
CLASSIFICATION: B
DESCRIPTION: One of several Dimensional Anomalies that coexist alongside Remnant.
LEVEL: Rumor
INFORMATION: Unable to contain due to its dimensional properties.
Anomaly 011 or Covered in Shadows is one of several Dimensional Anomalies that coexist alongside Remnant. This dimension is identical in every way to the real world with one exception. Every inhabitant, from people to animals are constantly covered in shadows.
One can travel to and from this dimension through a doorway. The doorway takes the form of a shadow that doesn't belong. One that is cast by an object that isn't there. Not to be confused with Anomaly 116 (Shadow on the Wall). But best to make sure by shining a light on the doorway. If it screams an unholy scream, it's a Shadow on the Wall. Otherwise, you found your doorway.
Simply step into the shadow and you'll be instantly transported to the other side. Unfortunately, the doorway closes and opens in a different location. Sometimes not in the same Kingdom.
As for the inhabitants of this dimension, they are generally quite friendly and act cordially to those outside their dimension.
There is however, a downside to this dimension. Any visitor from Remnant or any other dimension that makes their way here will slowly go through a transformation over the course of their stay. The absolute limit being 30 days before its complete.
By the end of Week One, the individual will become a monochrome version of themselves. All color whether its clothing or skin will become black and white.
Week Two they go a tad darker bordering on dark gray.
Week Three, their features will be nearly obscured to the point one would have to squint their eyes to see anything.
By the end of Week Four, the individual will be no different from an original inhabitant of this dimension, a person covered in shadows.
If one were to find the doorway back to their original dimension, the effects of Covered in Shadows will revert back to their original state depending on the length of their stay.
I got this idea after rewatching a RWBY CHIBI episode where the cast discuss all the side characters being covered in shadows.
