"Now it's time for the third match of day two, kabo!" Mato exclaimed, hyping up the crowd once again. "For this next match, we have White Eclipse's Jaxon Meteoro vs. Twilight Zone's Flynn!"
"Whoa…I'm actually getting a chance to fight? Well, isn't that surprising…" Jaxon said as a subtle shrug passed his shoulders.
"Good luck, Jaxon," Taya said while patting the meteorology mage on the back. "Oh…and please…try not to kill anyone with your weather changing antics…that wouldn't be good…"
"Don't worry, I'll handle it," Jaxon said with a nod as he made his way into the center of the arena.
"The stars say he'll be fine!" Saeko said while giving a cheerful nod.
"The stars?" Luke looked over towards Saeko, blinking a few times.
"The stars!" Saeko nodded once again. "They've never given me a reason to distrust them, so I'll believe them!" '
"I'm up, eh?" Flynn said as he stared at the arena.
"You got it, Flynn," Rylo said with a nod.
"He won't let us down!" Tsami grinned.
"Alright, I'll be right back," Flynn chuckled at his speed pun, though it didn't seem as though anyone else got it, so Flynn quickly slid away into the center of the field, standing across from Jaxon, a confident grin on his face.
"Jaxon is White Eclipse's Meteorology mage, meaning he controls the weather itself!" Chapati explained. "Flynn happens to be a mage that uses speed, so this mage will certainly be an interesting one."
"It's gonna be COOOOL!" Jason commented.
"I'm honest curious to see which mage will come out on top…" Yajima said, somewhat to himself, but he allowed the others to hear his thoughts.
"Are both mages ready, kabo?" Mato asked as he looked between the top.
"I'm ready! I'll only need five minutes," Flynn said as the smirk on his face started to grow.
"I'm ready, and I'll wipe that smirk off your face soon enough, speed boy," Jaxon replied with his own smirk.
"Then…begin, kabo!" Mato shouted.
"Don't blink!" Flynn exclaimed as his entire body turned into a blur, and in the very next second, he was in front of Jaxon, already landing the first hit; a powerful right hook to Jaxon's cheek, causing Jaxon to stumble back, obviously caught off guard from the quickness of Flynn and the strength.
"W-What the…?" Jaxon blinked a few times, utterly surprised by Flynn's speed, but moreso his strength than anything else.
"Aren't fast guys supposed to have really weak attacks?" Cygnus asked while raising a brow.
"Heh, don't go underestimating Flynn now," Rylo said with a smirk. "He may be fast, but that doesn't make him weak in the slightest!"
"Fast little shit, huh?" Jaxon said while raising his raising his hands into the sky, creating a yellow magic circle that floated above the arena. "Dodge this then!" After Jaxon spoke, the yellow magic circle unleashed a plethora of lightning bolts onto Flynn and over the arena.
"Well, since you asked so kindly!" Flynn started with a smirk, using his speed magic to his upmost advantage as he swayed as he ran, dodging nearly each and every bolt Jaxon dropped on him. As Flynn made his way towards Jaxon, a stray bolt struck down right in front of him, causing Flynn to stop in his place, attempting to balance himself.
Seeing his opening, Jaxon allowed lightning to cover his fist, and he lunged forward, throwing his electrified fist towards Flynn. "Thunder Punch!"
"Ohp!" Flynn quickly regained his balance, swaying his upperbody to the right, narrowly avoiding Jaxon's fist. He then allowed his own leg to spark, countering Jaxon's electric punch with a lightning kick, slamming his leg into Jaxon's sternum, causing Jaxon to slide back, growling slightly.
"Flynn's speed is amazing! Not only did he dodge lightning like it was nothing, but he managed to counter when it seemed impossible!" Chapati explicated.
"I can barely keep up…" Cynthia said as swirls appeared in her eyes from trying to keep up with Flynn.
"He's faster than the Flight Armor…" Erza thought to herself, taking note of Flynn's speed for later in case she had to battle the speed mage.
"I could still take him!" Natsu roared, starting to feel slightly less loopy from the side effects of the poison.
"Glad to see someone's feeling a little better," Lisanna said with a gentle smile.
"Try this one…!" Jaxon shouted, twirling his finger in a clockwise rotation, creating a gray magic circle in front of him. "Tornado Alley!" Jaxon then twirled his finger four times, sending four vicious tornados in Flynn's direction, but he kept the magic circle up as he had something planned should Flynn avoid his tornados.
"This is gonna suck…" Flynn thought to himself as he dashed forward, easily avoiding the first tornado, as for the second to, he placed his hand on the ground, leaping over them, landing on the ground after, and for the fourth, he rolled off to the right, completely avoiding the attack as a whole. "Nice try, but you're not fast enough!" After shouting, Flynn went into a dead sprint towards Jaxon, allowing the element of earth to cover his fist.
"He's been practicing a lot with his element magic…" Evanee said to herself. "I hope his progress pays off here…"
"Not as fast as you think," Jaxon replied as he twirled his finger while Flynn dodged the fourth tornado, creating a tornado under his feet, which lifting him off into the air, causing Flynn to stop in his tracks.
"Gah! He's riding a tornado!" Flynn's eyes widened as he stared at the now airborne Jaxon.
Jaxon then pointed his hands forward, a blue magic circle forming; from the circle, an erratic spray of rain fell from it, actually striking Flynn, the sensation of the water equal to that of a stinging and stabbing sensation for the speed mage. "Rain Needle!"
"G-Gah…" Flynn did his best to cover up from the unforgiving rain, gritting his teeth as it continued to rain on him.
"Amazing! Even with his speed, Flynn is unable to avoid the area wide rain!" Chapati continued. "Weather vs. Speed, this battle is only getting better!"
"C'mon, Flynn! You can do it!" Melanie shouted form the sidelines.
"Alright, enough!" Flynn shouted, after finally having enough, he allowed flames to cover his arms, and he began to spin around, turning himself into a miniature flaming vortex, using this technique to cancel out the incoming rain as the result ended up a large steam cloud.
"Nice counter…" Blues thought to himself.
Jaxon jumped from his tornado, creating a red magic circle under Flynn, using the circle to focus the sun's rays on Flynn, making the speed mage sluggish. "Heat magnifier."
"W-What the…" Flynn moved away from the circle after the effects already took effect, leaving him noticeably slower than usual. "Ugh…"
"Lightning kick!" Jaxon shouted as he dove forward, landing a powerful lighting infused kick on Flynn, the contact sounding as though lightning actually struck, and Flynn tumbled back across the ground. "What were you saying before? About being fast?" Jaxon said with a smirk.
"His attitude is gonna bite him in the ass isn't it…" Reve said while pinching the bridge of his nose.
"You know the same thing could be said about you sometimes, Revey," Selene said with a slight smirk.
"…Shut up." Reve replied.
"Flynn, get up," Evanee said to the speed mage.
"I'm getting up…don't worry…" Flynn picked himself up, shaking off Jaxon's previous blow as though nothing happened, though he still felt the pain. "Mocking my speed, eh…?" Flynn smirked slightly as he started stretching, getting into a running position. "Alright, I'll show oyu just how fast I can be, Jaxon." After that a magic circle appeared underneath Flynn as he activated his slowing magic, slowing down everyone's perception of time; he then used his speed magic in conjunction with this, sprinting past Jaxon. Within the next second, a powerful line of fire erupted on Jaxon, and he let out a small yelp of pain. "Trailblazing."
"W-WHOA!" Jason's eyes widened; he blinked, literally missing what happened, but he could tell it was something cool. "I blinked…and I missed that!"
"What the hell is this guy…" Gray raised a brow, Flynn's attitude and magic reminding him of Racer. "He's like Racer…"
After the fire faded, Jaxon still stood tall, but he had noticeable burn marks all over his skin and clothing. "Alright…I think it's time you chilled out…" Jaxon created a white magic circle in front of him, which sent forward a blizzard that struck Flynn, the force of it a stinging sensation similar to the Rain Needle technique, only this time the force and cold of the blizzard slowed Flynn down a bit as he took damage from the snow, which also began to pile up, starting at his legs.
"Oi, Flynn!" Rylo shouted. "The snow!"
"Wha…?' Flynn looked down, wondering why he was starting to lose feeling in his legs. He then noticed the snow starting to reach his knees. "Oh!" Flynn allowed his legs to ignite in flames and lightning, and he sped towards Jaxon once again, but he didn't strike him, surprisingly. He actually ran in the form of a thunderbolt, a zig zag formation, a thunderbolt insignia appearing under Jaxon as Flynn stood behind the mage, a smirk on his face. "ThunderFlame Bolt." After Flynn spoke, lighting and flames shot up from the symbol, shocking, and burning Jaxon at the same time.
"Jaxon! Come on!" Waiston shouted.
"He'll be fine," Saeko said with a serious nod. "I still trust in the stars."
After the shock of lighting and flames, Jaxon turned around, rotating his arms in opposite ways three times before pointing them forward, a sky blue magic circle appearing in front of him. "Freeze Frame!" From the circle, a blistering vortex of frigid wind, ice, and snow, all of which capable of making Waiston shiver, stormed out of Jaxon's hands, freezing Flynn into a frozen shell seemingly before he could react.
"Flynn…" Taranis narrowed his eyes at the seemingly frozen Flynn.
"Is that it…kabo?" Mato asked as he observed the shell.
"Don't count him out just yet…" Rylo said with a smirk. "He may be cocky, but he can certainly…" As Rylo spoke, Flynn shattered the shell with his flames, but he was panting heavily from magic usage. "Back up his words. C'mon Flynn, it's been longer than five minutes!"
"Guess I couldn't help myself…" Flynn replied to Rylo as he turned around to face Jaxon. "Well, Jaxon…it's been fun, but it's about time I ended this for Twilight Zone!" Flynn grinned, placing his hand on the ground as a red magic circle appeared. "I hate to do this to you… (mostly me because this is exhausting as all hell…) but here we go! Mach 2!" With that, Flynn sped off faster than a heartbeat. Within the literal next second, he landed an unknown amount of hits on Jaxon, evident by the sudden bruises and marks that were now on him as Flynn appeared behind him, panting heavily.
"Mach 2…" Caelestis said while somewhat intrigued.
Jaxon fell onto his stomach after the assault, not moving for a good ten seconds before he slowly got back up, now utterly annoyed, but a smirk was on his face as he faced Flynn. "Okay, I admit...you're pretty fast…but there's something I gotta tell you, speed boy…" Jaxon said as a magic circle appeared in the sky, spinning clockwise at a fast pace. "No matter how fast you are…you can never out run the weather." The entire mountain began to tremble violently, following this, a cyclone shot out from the magic circle, mixed with blue and red winds, both cold and heated. At the same time, the earth of the arena started to split apart, lava starting to pour out of the cracks.
"Hey, look, Maggie, it's your element," Tobias said with a slight smirk, beginning to make a horrible pun, but Ur stopped him by delivering a swift kick to his jaw. "…."
"W-What the hell is this?!" Laxus asked as he fought succumbing to motion sickness like all the other dragon slayers were from the trembling earth.
"Apacolyptica…" Reve said with a large smirk. "Sorry, Twilight Zone, but this match is as good as over now. You can get the silver medal, however."
"He's not down just yet!" Rylo replied.
"W-What the…?!" Flynn's eyes widened at the sight of what was coming towards him. He attempted to move, but his body was too exhausted from the Mach 2 assault to move as fast as he wanted it too, so with no other options, he took the full force of Jaxon's strongest attack, which left an enormous smoke cloud that covered the arena.
"C-Cool…" Jason's jaw dropped at the sight of Jaxon's move, staring in utter amazement at such a feat. When the smoke cleared, Flynn was in obvious KO.
"He lost…" Alexander said.
"That was…whoa…" Cynthia blinked a few times, trying to recapture what just happened.
"A-And with that, White Eclipse gains ten points, gaining them a total of 32 points, putting them in third place-kabo!" Mato exclaimed as Flynn was carried back to the Twilight Zone section, and Jaxon merely limped back.
"Nice job, Jaxon!" Reve said with a smirk.
"He was kinda tough…" Jaxon replied with a lazy smile. "I think that's enough action for me though…"
"Alright, Kuro, you're in," Reve nodded.
"Awesome!" Kuro grinned.
"And that's three. Now for the final match..." Magnus said calmly.
"It's gonna take a few minutes to fix this up…" Mato said as he looked around at the cervaces in the arena, along with the lava just lying there. "There will be a ten minute intermission before the next fight. Speaking of…our last fight for today is Fairy Tail's Cynthia Rose vs. Cosmic Star's Alex!"
"Shit…" Gaia groaned.
"Oh…?" Karma raised a brow at the matchups.
"A fight against Sis? I won't hold back!" Cynthia shouted over to Alex.
"Finally…" Alex grinned sadistically as her hair turned from red to white, her eyes blazing a violent red. "I didn't think this chance would come so soon…but now…" She could finally begin her mission.
