Anyone
Her gaze is lost staring into the blue sky languidly, listening to the idle chattering of her classmates in the background distractedly.
A heavy sigh escapes her lips as she rests her head on the palm of her hand, still looking up at the sky.
She wishes somebody would try to strike up a conversation with her, she wishes for somebody to be genuinely interested or even mild concerned about knowing how she truly is or about her days. Hell, she'd wish for somebody to talk about anything at all with her, but all she gets is silence and elusive and wary glances as she tries to step closer to them in a futile attempt to talk, so she ends sat on her place, isolated from everybody around her.
She only wishes for somebody, anyone, to actually care about her, to talk to her about everything and nothing at all...
She sighs again, gulping hard to try to ignore the lump in her throat and the tears that threaten to fall down her face.
She feels completely alone and unhappy.
Yoshiko knows she should be used to this but she doesn't.
Ever since Hanamaru moved out of town, she was left alone, laughed at for her fallen angel eccentricities and attitude, and even though she tries to not let this affect her or hurt her in any way, some days is just too much and she succumbs to that emotional pain and lonely feeling settled in her chest.
She thought that with her streams things would change, she'd share her hobbies with more people and talk about it, she was wrong, everything stayed the same if not even worst.
Eventually, the feeling of sadness, of loneliness and not be good enough only increased even more.
She ended crying herself to sleep for many nights, craving for kind words, for tight hugs embracing her to dispel her doubts, insecurities and fears.
Her prays weren't heard not mattering how hard, how loud she shout them out.
Nobody listened to her. She felt stupid for even trying.
Then one day, when she less expected it, a pair of strong arms suddenly embraced her, wrapping her tightly into their safety, into their warmth and affection.
- It's going to be okay Yocchan, I'm here – a kind voice whispered in her ear, kissing her temple as, finally, a torrent of tears released, falling down her face non-stop.
It was everything she had always been wishing for. Somebody that would took the time to get to actually know her, to really talk to her and listening to her and share her hobbies and more. Somebody she could give all the love and affection she was hiding deep inside her heart all this time for fear of getting hurt.
Somebody that would take a look at her for real, breaking her walls to reach out for her, saving her with their love and affection…
Finally, her prays were answered in the most unexpected and lovely way, in the form of a beautiful, intelligent and caring burgundy haired girl.
Yoshiko smiles in the embrace, snuggling more into Riko's body. Her tears finally cease and the ache in her heart finally comes to an end.
- I know – Yoshiko manages to say softly, hoarsely and feels Riko's arms tightening their embrace around her.
She places her hands over Riko's arms, giving them a light squeeze to let Riko know she feels better and feels a tender kiss being placed on her cheek that makes the timid smile on her face widen.
There's finally somebody for her.
