Battery
The sound of feet dragging heavily mixes with loud groans as an exhausted blue haired girl goes upstairs, hoping each step she takes it's the last one. As she finally takes the last one, she can't help but stop to rest her head against the door of her apartment, letting a long sigh escape her lips.
- Finally…
She exhales, gathering the little strength left in her to take her keys out of her bag and fumble them in the lock, before she manages to open and close her front door to rest against it as she struggles to take her shoes and coat off, throwing them to the floor along with her bag.
More groans escape her lips as her feet carry her tired body to the living room, falling drop dead on the couch as soon as she sees it, showing how worn out she is after a long and stressful day at work.
Yoshiko can't help but feel completely drawn of all energy, not even reaching the 0% as her eyes fight to stay open.
From the kitchen, a certain burgundy haired girl can't help but find strange the noises filling the quiet apartment, frowning as she dries her hands with the kitchen's cloth.
- Yocchan is that you? Are you at home?
She asks aloud, only to hear a loud groan in return that makes her chuckle and sigh equally, leaving the cloth on the kitchen's table to stroll to the living room, seeing the particular fallen angel with her face buried in the pillow while she's sprawled rather ungracefully on the couch.
An amused smile spreads across her lips, before she walks closer to the younger girl.
- Hey, are you okay? – Riko asks softly as she crouches to be at the same level as Yoshiko who can only groan loudly in return – Hard day at work?
She asks now with a concerned expression adorning her features, seeing Yoshiko turning on the couch to finally look at her, and she can't help but notice the tiredness taking over her face, but especially, showing in her eyes.
- Pretty much.
Yoshiko mutters dryly, and Riko can only give her a soft smile as she leaves a caress on her cheek, feeling Yoshiko leaning into her touch.
- How about I make your favorite dish for dinner?
She asks the younger girl hoping this can cheer her up, seeing a soft timid smile spreading across her lips.
- I'd really like that – Yoshiko answers quietly, her eyes shining gratefully and happily even though she still looks quite tired and about to fall asleep at any second.
- Then wait here while I make it.
Riko tells her as she gives her another soft smile and leaves a last caress on Yoshiko's cheek to rise ready to go back to the kitchen.
The tired girl can't help but feel sad as she sees her girlfriend ready to leave, feeling how Riko's smiles, caresses and attentions recharge her battery slowly to a 40% that dangerously seems to start decreasing with every step Riko takes away from her.
Desperate, Yoshiko calls her girlfriend's nickname.
- Riri?
She says as she extends her hand to the older girl, seeing her stopping to look back at her, before a smile draws on her lips and she walks closer to grasp her hand.
- What is it?
Riko says softly, noticing Yoshiko blushing lightly, before she closes her eyes and puckers her lips at her, causing an embarrassing blush to dust her cheeks.
- Kiss?
Yoshiko asks cutely yet funnily, making Riko blush more while shrieking embarrassedly.
- Y-Yocchan!
She exclaims her girlfriend's nickname, seeing her opening an eye as she pouts sadly at her.
- No kiss?
Yoshiko asks sadly now, pouting harder while bribing Riko who can't help but fidget with her shirt, before she gives in and leans to peck her girlfriend's lips.
- I- j-just one. I-I have to make dinner.
She stammers embarrassed that she has fell for her adorable girlfriend's tricks, before rising to go back to the kitchen to continue making dinner. But she has barely moved to leave, when Yoshiko grabs her by the hand and tugs her down, their lips meeting halfway in a brief but sweet kiss that makes Riko blush harder.
- Y-Yocchan, idiot!
Riko exclaims high-pitched, hitting Yoshiko's chest lightly as she hurries to the kitchen in a futile attempt to hide the deep blush tinting her cheeks and that competes with her hair.
Yoshiko can only giggle from the couch in a much higher spirits now, feeling how even though her inner battery got recharged to almost the 75%, it's still not enough for her.
So she leaves the comfort of the couch to stroll to the kitchen, standing for a brief second at the doorframe to admire her beautiful and endearing girlfriend, before she crosses the kitchen and hugs her from behind, startling Riko who can't help but yelp as a bit of food flies off.
- Y-Y-Yocchan!?
Riko exclaims as an adorable blush tints her cheeks once again, eliciting a giggle from the blue haired girl who can only tighten her embrace around her as she leaves a kiss on her cheek, nuzzling it.
- Thank you.
It's the only thing the younger girl can say as she rests against Riko's body, feeling her sighing contentedly as one of her hands covers hers to give them a light squeeze.
- There's no need to thank me, silly. I'm glad you feel better now.
Riko says softly, turning to look at Yoshiko who can't help but smile at her beamingly as she kisses her.
- What can I help you with?
Yoshiko then offers, ready to help her lovely girlfriend, with her battery completely recharged of energy thanks to her care and love.
Riko can only giggle amused at her change of mood, before she begins to command and supervisor what she asks Yoshiko to do.
