:Aliens vs Horde:
It was now around noon in the Whispering Woods and in a clearing near what looked like an advanced alien structure Ben and his partner Rook Blonko sat on some rocks across from Adora, Bow and Glimmer (The Best Friend Squad)
"Okay so who exactly are you guys and what planet are we on?" Ben asked.
"Well I am Princess Glimmer of Bright Moon, these are my friends Bow and Adora." Glimmer introduced.
"A princess?" Rook said in surprise and immediately got on his knee and bowed. "My apologies your highness we did not mean any disrespect." He apologised.
"Oh i its okay no need to bow, uh Rook is it?" Glimmer said. Rook nodded and stood back up again.
"Well now we got intros out of the way, what planet are we on?" Ben asked.
"Your on Etheria?" Glimmer questioned.
"Etheria? never heard of it." Ben said. "Indeed." Rook said looking at his Proto scanner at the database of different alien planets. "According to the star chart theres no planet called Etheria in the database?"
"Well Grandpa Max did say this was an unknown sector of space maybe it isn't listed in the Plumber database." Ben guessed.
"Could be." Rook agreed.
"AHEM! Hello we're sitting right here!" Glimmer then exclaimed getting the two Plumbers attention.
"Yeah what are you guys talking about?" Bow wondered.
"More to the point you don't look like your from Etheria, I've never seen anyone dressed like you." Adora wondered looking at Bens attire.
Ben and Rook looked at each other and decided that they should know everything.
"Okay you see we're from Earth, a planet far from this one." Ben said pointing to the sky.
"Wait another planet, thats impossible?" Glimmer questioned.
"Its the truth, we're from a distant planet." Rook explained.
He then pulled out a small device and activated it. It showed a holo map of different planets in their solar system.
"Whoa!" Adora breathed amazed. "Incredible!" Bow agreed.
"This is a holo Map of our universe, in it are millions of inhabited planets vibrant with different cultures." Rook explained he then swiped on the map to show a certain planet.
"This is Earth several quadrants away from this sector of space." Rook continued.
"Okay say for a moment we believe your from another planet, how did you get to Etheria?" Glimmer then asked.
"We were sent to investigate some strange anomalies in space until some kind of wormhole trashed our ship." Rook explained.
"Wait you mean that crashed ship, we found in the forest thats yours?" Bow asked.
"Yes that crashed ship is an interstellar space craft, our mode of transportation if you will." Rook explained.
"They might be telling the truth, I mean it didn't look like anything the Horde would build." Adora noted.
"Okay will someone please tell me what the heck the Horde is before I completely lose it!" Ben then exclaimed.
"You really haven't heard of them?" Glimmer questioned in surprise.
"No I haven't!" Ben tried to stay calm but it looked like he was about to lose it if someone didn't give him a straight answer.
"Well the Horde is…" Before Glimmer could finish that sentence a massive explosion catapulted them into the air and crashed into the ground.
"Them!" Bow cried and everyone turned to see what look like spherical robots with glowing red eyes in the middle with spider like legs they were followed by several soldiers dressed in armour with green visors and on the chest plates was a red symbol with what look like bat wings.
"Everyone hold on!" Glimmer said as she put her hands on Adora and Bens shoulders whilst Bow and Rook grabbed onto them out of instinct. Glimmer used her powers to teleport everyone away.
They later reappeared in the forest deep in the trees a distance away from the Horde forces.
"Whoa!" Ben gasped as he regained his footing. "You can teleport!"
"Yeah, I'm a princess and we have powers." Glimmer said.
"Is it safe to assume they were this Horde you were talking about?" Rook guessed.
"Yep that would be them!" Bow said.
"How did they find us?" Glimmer said. "I'm guessing they must have seen their craft crash down." Adora guessed.
"Wait so your saying this is our fault?!" Ben questioned.
"It doesn't matter who's fault it is." Adora said.
"Yeah but Thaymor is close to here, if we don't stop them here whats to stop them from attacking it!" Glimmer said.
"Glimmers right we have to do something." Bow agreed.
"Okay you guys get back to your ship and take cover we'll take care of the Horde." Adora decided.
"But your severely outnumbered!" Rook reminded.
Adora just smirked as she drew a certain sword from her back and raised it into the air before saying some certain words.
"FOR THE HONOUR OF GREYSKULL!" She proclaimed and everyone was blinded by a golden light.
One fancy transformation later and Adora had been completely transformed. The light faded and Ben looked with wide eyes at what stood before him now. Adora had completely transformed she now had longer flowing golden glowing hair, a thin golden grown with two wings on the side with a red jewel in the centre, solid gold arm cuffs, wearing a white dress with golden seams and on her chest was a six pointed star at the centre was a blue runestone. Wearing a white ruffled skirt under the golden belt and a pair of skin tight shorts and had gold and white boots and from her golden shoulder pads flowed a crimson red was now She-Ra the Princess of Power.
"Whoa." Ben gasped. Rook just looked with his jaw dropped in amazement.
"Yeah she has a magic sword." Bow then said.
"Lets go." Glimmer said as she teleported away with She-Ra and Bow. Leaving Ben and Rook alone.
"Yeah we'll just stay here." Ben said rather sarcastically. "Yeah not too likely, come on Rook we've got to help."
"Wait, Ben I fear perhaps becoming involved may not be the best idea, if this Horde is considered hostile they may see us as a threat too." Rook said out of concern.
"What?, Rook theres innocent people between them and here, and as powerful as those three are, they'll need our help." Ben explained. "Besides when did we sit back and watch a show without saving people?"
Rook began to think about what his partner had said and it was true in the past they never backed down and they always helped those in need be it as deputised Plumber Agents or as heroes. Knowing Ben the way he does he knew he was going to go through with this no matter the risk. With that he reached his decision.
"Your right, lets do it Partner!" Rook agreed and the two of them ran through the forest back to where they last saw the army of soldiers and bots.
A distance away from the village of Thaymor the Horde bots and soldiers are fast approaching, However all of a sudden something blasts them with a wave of energy. The soldiers looked and saw She-Ra and her allies stand before them before they leaped into battle.
Bow ran forward using his bow to fire his trick arrows at the Horde bots, one arrow ensnared it in goop causing it to stop moving. Another struck the robot in its red eye causing it to short out. Hordesman tried to attack from behind with their shock sticks but Bow turned quick and shot three arrows from his arrow and in mid flight they made some nets to ensure them.
However unbeknownst to the marksman a small child was following a small butterfly in the forest. The problem is the child was wandering into the battle site. As the butterfly flew further away the child was suddenly startled by an explosion and she saw a Horde bot that was heading towards her. Bow was still firing arrows at the Hordesman when all of a sudden he heard a child's scream he looked to see a child at the mercy of a Hordebot.
"No!" Bow gasped however before he could act someone was already on it. Before the Hordebot fired Rook leaped in and grabbed the child in his arms rolling away from Ravonagander moved to hide the child behind a boulder.
"Stay down!" Rook said and the child still surprised nodded. Rook then turned his attention to the Hordebot.
"Rook what are you doing here!" Bow exclaimed.
"Evening the odds!" Rook replied as he drew his Proto tool and charged forwards the droid fired laser blasts at the young plumber. however he leaped and dodged the blasts quickly forming his Proto Tool into a Photo bow and fired energy arrows at the bot straight in the eye shorting it out.
A hordes man then tried to attack him from behind with his stun stick, but Rook reacted by blocking the shock with his Photo tool shield pushing the soldier back before delivering a drop kick to the ground.
Bow just looked with shrunken pupils and in complete shock, how the heck did he manage to fight off a Hordebot and a soldier that quickly. He was so mesmerised he didn't notice a Hordebot about to blast him from behind.
"BOW DROP!" Rook exclaimed as he turned his Proto Tool into a rocket launcher and fired it Bow dropped to the ground fast and the missile hit the Hordebot causing it to explode and crumble to the ground.
"Where did you learn moves like that?" Bow asked. "Many years study of Ravona-kai and training at the Plumbers Academy." Rook answered.
Suddenly Bow noticed a group of Hordesman heading towards them. He acts quickly and fires another of his trick arrows at them and it opened to reveal a lasso rope which tied up the Hordesman causing them to fall to the ground and shock themselves with their own shock sticks that they were holding.
"Trick arrows." Rook observed. "Most impressive."
"Thanks made them myself." Bow said humbly. They turned to see the Horde bots closing in on the area where Bow knew his friends were close by.
"She-Ra and Glimmer need help." Bow said. "Then come let us aid our friends." Rook agreed and the two hurried towards the battle.
Glimmer was teleporting around and blasting Horde bots with her energy blasts and rendered the last two inoperable.
Meanwhile She-Ra was clashing with two Hordesman with her sword and eventually pushed them back with a huge energy wave. However her victory was short lived, suddenly she received a terrible electrical shock in the back and collapsed to the ground.
"Adora!" Glimmer yelled but her way past was blocked by the blast of a Horde bot which she engaged.
She-Ra turned round to see someone standing behind her. It was a young feline woman with tanned skin, with almond shaped eyes one yellow on in turquoise, she wore a red cat inspired scarlet red hair piece and messed up hair that bounces behind it with cat ears with tuffs of fur. She wore a reddish orange leotard sleeveless top over torn reddish leggings warping around her feet revealing her toes, knees and heels.
"Hey Adora." Catra greeted. She-Ra knew very well who this was it was her old childhood friend now enemy Catra a soldier for the Horde.
"Catra!" She-ra growled.
"Are you ever going to stop getting on the wrong end of a shock stick?" Catra teased. "Oh and check it out, looks like with you gone I got your promotion."
She gestured to a small Horde badge on her chest and She-Ra knew it was the badge of a Horde Force Captain.
"Well congratulations." She-ra said sarcastically.
"Look Adora, enough with this identity crisis thing, just return to the Horde and all is forgiven." Catra then said.
"Then you'll have to shock me a lot more, because I'm never going back to the Horde!" She-Ra said with a hint of defiance in her voice and she stood up with her sword in a fighting pose.
The two clashed in battle She-Ra swung her sword at the feline Horde soldier who ducked then flipped onto the sword and over She-Ra the slashed her claws at her back which stung her. She-Ra turned and swung her sword at the feline who blocked it with her shock stick then performed an upper cut knocking She-Ra back. She was pushed back to the wreck of a downed Horde Bot. She-Ra was ready to attack but the Hordebot fell on top of her. The smoke cleared and She-Ra tried to get up but saw that her left leg was trapped under the heavy Horde bot. She tried to move it off her but she couldn't.
She saw the sword before her she tried to reach for it but then the foot of a certain feline kicked it away as she stood above her.
"You never could learn to mind your surroundings Adora." Catra smirked and readied her shock stick. "So where are your so called new friends now?"
"Back off kitty cat!" A voice called and Catra turned to see Ben standing nearby.
"Ben what are you doing here! Get out of here now!" She-Ra exclaimed.
"Sorry Adora but I'm not going anywhere." Ben replied. Catra could only smirk.
"Okay your either brave or just very stupid." she teased.
"I've often been named both, but you haven't won yet so I suggest you back off." Ben then said.
"Maybe you should back off before I claw off your face." Catra said sheathing her claws.
"No I don't back down to bullies, especially ones who attack their opponents when they're pinned down, so how's about you try me!" Ben said as he raised his fists ready to fight.
Catra all but smirked and just launched herself at Ben slashing at him with her claws which he avoided then swung a roundhouse kick at the feline force captain. He mentally thanked himself for taking those karate classes with Gwen sometime ago. Catra slashed at Ben slicing claw marks into his shirt right on the number 10.
"Dude! You so owe me a new shirt!" Ben exclaimed, before he threw more punches at Catra before he could act she shocked him with her shock stick and then kicked him away rolling on the ground.
"BEN!" She-Ra exclaimed as she tried to get free, Glimmer had just managed to blast through the Horde bots and saw Rook and Bow coming towards her.
"Bow Rook!" She called. "Glimmer are you okay?" Bow asked. "I'm fine." She replied.
"Wheres Adora?" Bow then asked and they looked to see She-Ra trapped under a downed Horde Bot and Ben lying on the ground.
"Oh no!" Bow said about to run in and help until Rook stopped him.
"Wait, you may wish to watch." Rook said. "What!?" Bow exclaimed in surprise.
"Your friends about to get hurt!" Glimmer added. "No, Bens not one to go down without a fight." Rook smirked as he knew Ben too well to see him go down like that.
Catra approached Ben as he was getting up and his shirt was burnt by the shock stick. He got back on his feet and faced Catra.
"You didn't think you could win against me did you?" Catra asked.
"I was thinking this was going to be a fair fight." Ben growled as he knew what to do next. "But if your not playing by the rules, why should I?"
Ben reached for the Omnitrix and activated the selection disk and selected the alien he needed. Slamming down on the hourglass symbol and blinding everyone in a shining green light.
In a green void surrounded by white molecules Bens right arm began growing turquoise green crystals before encasing it, more crystals began growing on his face and his eyes turned completely green Ben had changed into a being made of crystals with shards coming out of his back and wore a black uniform with a green stripe going down his chest and the Omnitrix logo was located on his waist on a green and white belt.
The light faded and the Etherians present couldn't believe what they were seeing, standing before them was Ben fully transformed in one of his old classic alien forms Diamondhead.
"Glimmer." Bow breathed in surprise. "I see him Bow, but I don't believe it." Glimmer said not taking her eyes of the crystalline being.
Catra just stood completely frozen in shock, and She-Ra couldn't believe what she was seeing. "Guess no-one told you kitty cat, you mess with Ben, you get the Ten!" Diamondhead said cracking his crystal knuckles.
Catra snaps out of her trance and tries to shock Diamondhead however it had very little effect on him and Diamondhead delivered an upper cut knocking Catra back, she swung her claws at hum but all she did was scratch his diamond hard skin which didn't hurt much. Diamondhead responded by throwing his own punch at Catra then leapt into the air and fired crystal shards from his hands. Catra quickly avoided them as the Petrosapian landed on the ground.
Whilst Catra was distracted Glimmer, Bow and Rook hurried over to She-Ra. Bow and Rook worked together to lift the Hordebot off She-Ra freeing her leg whilst Glimmer pulled her clear.
"Adora you okay?" Glimmer asked. "Yeah I'm fine, but can someone tell me how Ben turned into a walking talking diamond?!" She-Ra questioned trying to keep her cool.
"Yeah and shouldn't we be helping him?" Bow asked.
"Under normal circumstances yes, but in this case I believe we should as Ben would put it just sit back and enjoy the show." Rook answered smiling knowing Ben was up to the task.
Diamondhead soon found himself surrounded by more Hordebots, training their lasers at him one fired a laser and Diamondhead formed his right arm into a shield and the reflective surface deflected the beam right back at the robot which exploded. The Petrosapian then fired crystal shards from his hands piercing the robots around him which all fell to the ground in defeat.
Suddenly Catra jumps onto DiamondHeads back and flips down from the shards and kicks him in the back which did knock him to the ground.
"Looks like you lose?" Catra smirked.
"Think again." Diamondhead just tapped the Omnitrix symbol and Catra was blinded by another bright green light. Suddenly something grabbed her leg and flung her off to the ground.
Catra looked up and saw standing in the crystal beings place was a large grey werewolf with green eyes and wore a green and white suit and the hourglass symbol was on his collar.
"Cat meet Dog!" Blitzwolfer growled as the two clashed in battle throwing claws and punches at each other.
The Best Friend squad was all but startled by Ben sudden change from a diamond being to a giant wolf man.
"How did he go from bling to wolf?" Bow questioned practically shaking Rooks shoulders.
Blitzwolfer narrowly avoided a claw from Catra and he responded by kicking her with his feet. Catra looked up to see the wolf leap at her and its as if instinct was taking over she shrieked and her fur was on edge and leaped away just before Blitzwolfer struck.
She landed a distance away, and the alien wolf looked around and saw he was surrounded by nearly an entire platoon of Horde bots and Hordesman. Catra just smirked seeing the odds were now in her favour. Or was it?
"Time to wrap this up." Blitzwolfer said.
He tapped the hourglass symbol and changed into what looked like a living plant with green skin, a muscular build his face was red, orange and yellow with green eyes and on his upper and lower arms had red and yellow thorns, His hands were black and yellow the Omnitrix was located on his stomach.
Swampfire kneeled down and touched the ground and began concentrating. Then all of a sudden roots began to emerge from the ground and even crumbled the ground around them. Glimmer couldn't believe it he had powers equal to that of a certain plant princess they had just then stood as the roots were waiting for orders.
"Roots, wrap this up!" Swampfire said and the roots immediately wrapped the Hordebots up in bonds and crushed them in one tight grip one by one exploding and crumbling to the ground.
Catra couldn't believe her eyes seeing her forces completely deserted by one guy with who knows how many forms. Swampfire the flung the roots and the bots away and they fell to the ground.
"Retreat!" A Horde soldier cried and the remaining Hordesmen fell back from the battle sight. Catra just stood glaring at the plant life form and he stood silent until he spoke.
"By the way kitty, the names Ben Tennyson, remember it well." Swampfire said glaring and with that Catra retreated into the smoke.
She-Ra, Glimmer, Bow and Rook surveyed the battleground and saw the completely destroyed robots and rubble around them. Just then the Omnitrix started beeping and Swampfire reverted back to Ben in a glowing green light.
"Ben?" He turned round and saw Glimmer, Bow and She-ra who then reverted back to Adora standing there staring in surprise.
"That that was…" Glimmer stuttered. "Amazing!" she then exclaimed in amazement.
"How the heck did you do that!?" Bow questioned.
"I should be asking you guys that?" Ben questioned. "Who the heck was that girl with the vegas shoulder pads and tiara?"
Later:
The group was now in the forest a distance from the battle and were walking through the trees with Glimmer leading the group. On the journey Ben explained his story.
"So how did you turn into that diamond guy, that wolf and walking plant?" Bow asked rather curious.
"If I'd have to guess I think it has something to do with that thing on his wrist." Adora guessed seeing the watch Ben wore on his left wrist bore a similar logo to the aliens he changed into.
"Wait so you have a magic watch?" Bow asked. "Well its not magic its science, alien science." Ben explained as he showed them the device. "Its called the Omnitrix it houses the DNA of a million alien life forms."
"So those things you turned into were aliens?" Bow asked. "Yep Aliens from different sectors of the universe the known universe anyway." Ben answered.
"Is there a story to come with that?" Glimmer asked.
"Yeah, it started when I was 10 years old on a summer vacation with my Grandfather Max Tennyson and my cousin Gwen Tennyson." Ben said. "I was walking through a forrest like this one night, and then something that looked like a satellite crashed down from the sky but it was really an alien pod and I saw the Omnitrix inside though I didn't know it at the time but the watch then jumped up and clamped onto my wrist."
"So it fell from the sky and it just clamped onto your wrist?" Adora asked. "Yeah, and then I discovered I could turn into one of ten different aliens, and after stopping a robot from attacking a campsite I started using the Omnitrix to protect people."
"So since you were ten you used that watch to protect people?" Bow questioned.
"I'm afraid it's more complicated than that." Rook explained.
Ben then went on to explain about the many things and creatures he's defeated after getting the Omnitrix two of the most terrifying foes he faced was Vilgax who nearly succeeded in taking the Omnitrix. He then explained how his Grandpa Max was a Plumber an intergalactic peace keeping force in charge of keeping law and order in the universe. Bow thought of them like the anti Horde.
Years later when he was a teenager he stopped using the Omnitrix but had to wear it again when there was an alien conspiracy with a race known as the High Breed, but thanks to him, his cousin Gwen and friend Kevin they gathered a team and defeated after that Ben explained how Vilgax had returned and how he took the Omnitrix from him in exchange for his friends lives. Adora listened well as he explained how the only way he could defeat Vilgax was to destroy it.
This then lead to the story of the Ultimatrix like an Omnitrix except it could evolve his aliens to their ultimate form, more powerful versions. He used the new watch to defeat enemies like Agragor, and his most fearsome foe the Daigon. Ben then explained how the Omnitrix he had now was a more advanced version of the prototype he found when he was ten and how his Grandpa Max assigned Rook as his partner though a rough partnership at first he grown quite used to having a partner and a friend around watching his back. Though Glimmer cracked a joke on how he probably couldn't do it by himself much to his dismay. Rook and Ben explained how they defeated foes Malware, the Incursions, and stop Maltruant from destroying the universe which he has done multiple times. To say Bow, Glimmer and Adora were more than amazed by this story.
"That sounds incredible." Bow said.
"Yeah I never would have imagined there was life beyond Etheria, though it still sounds unbelievable." Glimmer agreed.
"Sounds like you've had it tough since you found that thing, more than I've had." Adora agreed.
"So whats with the fancy sword?" Ben then asked changing the subject and Adora drew the sword and showed it to the two Plumbers.
"Well thats a little complicated." Adora explained. "You see its called the Sword of Protection and its actually a piece of First Ones technology."
"First Ones?" Ben asked. "What are they?"
"Not what Ben who." Rook then said which had gotten everyones attention. "I have actually heard that name before, theres an old legend about beings called the First Ones, a race of explorers and great alchemists of their age tech more advanced than even the Galvan."
"I thought they were only legends like the Contumelia and Alien X." Rook then said.
"And yet we've seen both." Ben then said.
"Yeah they were actually the First beings to settle on Etheria, but one day they just disappeared." Bow explained. "But they left behind a lot of ancient tech, and ruins like the one we found you at."
"Okay so who's the tall girl in the Tiara?" Ben then asked Adora.
"That would be She-Ra." Adora said. "She-Ra sounds like an eighty's band name." Ben said.
"She-Ra is a legendary warrior who according to my mom would come in our time of need." Glimmer explained.
"So what about you, your a princess with powers?" Ben asked the Bright Moon Princess.
"Well all princesses here have powers, there are those who have power over water, the plants and some even over ice and fire." Glimmer explained.
"So powers bound to the elements." Rook guessed.
"Something like that." Glimmer said. "Okay that explains that but what the heck is the Horde and who was that crazy cat lady?" Ben then asked.
Soon they stopped at some shrubbery which had gotten Ben and Rooks attention. Glimmer moved the shrubbery to reveal what looked like burnt and destroyed remains of a village. Adora recognised this place as its where she first met Bow and Glimmer after finding the and Rook looked in surprise and saw the ruins before them it was a desolation.
"What is this place?" Ben asked. Rook closely looked at the ruins and recognised the landscape.
"A farmer and his family lived here." Rook said then they noticed a familiar symbol painted on one of the walls.
"Hey its the same symbol those armoured guys wore." Ben pointed.
"Yes, that is the symbol of the Horde." Glimmer said. "The Horde are a force of pure evil who want nothing but total dominion over all life on Etheria."
"You mean they did this?" Ben guessed to which Glimmer nodded. "Did, did the people…" "Most of them got away." Bow explained a little disheartened. "Some didn't."
"That cat lady you fought was Catra one of the Hordes soldiers, and she's one of the fiercest people among their recruits." Adora explained.
"If you don't mind my saying Adora but the way you talk about her shows a more personal connection than just knowledge of ones enemy." Rook noticed.
Adora was a little hesitant at telling them the truth about herself but Glimmer placed a hand on her shoulder as did Bow they told her it was okay.
"Your right, because well…" Adora started. "I used to be one of them." Ben and Rook looked rather surprised.
"Wait wait wait a moment, you used to work for the bad guys?" Ben said in surprise. To which Adora nodded. "Okay this is one story worth hearing.
Adora explained how she was once a cadet in the Horde soon to be promoted to Force Captain the commanding rank in the Horde, and how she was raised alongside Catra when she was a baby. Ben was surprised that she had been part of this evil force since birth but realised there had to be more to the story. She explained how during a late night joyride on a Horde vehicle she and Catra crashed into the Whispering woods and had a vision of the sword of protection and later went back to see it was real which was about the same time she met Glimmer and Bow. Glimmer explained how she and Bow were part of a rebellion that was fighting against the Horde to free the planet, a rebellion that Adora was raised to believe were the bad went on explaining how they went looking for First Ones tech only to find the sword and Adora. Initially they were untrusting, which Rook understood was natural given they were on opposite sides. Bow explained how they showed Adora what the Horde was really doing destroying and attacking helpless villages and Ben just couldn't believe it he had faced a lot of villains in his life but it sounded like the Horde and their leader Hordak was taking the cake.
During an attack on Thaymor Adora realised she wanted to help the people and thought she could reason with the Horde but it failed. So she defected and used the sword and She-Ra to fight back the attack, which in doing so severed all ties with her friend Catra. They awaited the two plumbers response.
"I'm glad you were able to see the Hordes true stripes before it was too late." Ben said.
"Indeed, trust and loyalty maybe a two way street but its knowing right from wrong that steers us onto the right path, and I'm glad you found it." Rook agreed.
"Thanks guys." Adora thanked. "So thats pretty much the whole story." Bow then said "We've been the Best Friend Squad ever since." He said bringing Adora and Glimmer together smiling as a group.
"The Best Friend Squad?" Rook questioned. "Sounds catchy." Ben and Glimmer then broke off from Bow and faced the two Plumbers.
"Anyway thanks for helping us against the Horde today guys, we really appreciate it." Glimmer then said.
"Not a problem, besides I always help those in need its kinda the superheroes job description." Ben said then he looked to his partner with and knowing look and Rook nodded in agreement knowing what he was thinking.
"As a matter of fact." Ben then said. "What would you guys say about letting us help you bring down the Horde."
To say the Best Friend Squad were more than surprised was an understatement these two strangers they just met were asking to pledge their allegiance to their cause.
"What?!" They exclaimed. "You, you want to help us fight the Horde?" Glimmer questioned.
"I mean don't you guys have to worry about getting back to your home, and your families.?" Bow reminded.
"Yeah but knowing what we know now we can't just let them get away with this and I fully intend on showing these people that this planet is not theirs to take." Ben said. "Besides I'm not doing this for a thrill I want to help because it's the right thing to do and to stand by and do nothing would be disregarding everything my Grandfather taught me to stand for."
"Ben is correct, we are duty bound to help those in need, when we see a planet or civilisation that needs help then we help." Rook agreed. "We cannot allow the Horde to continue like this and it may only be a matter of time before they spread this war to other worlds."
"Besides we deal with this stuff almost every week so it really isn't any different." Ben said. "So yeah we're with you Adora and your friends till the end of the line."
Adora, Glimmer and Bow gave a rather grateful smile and they realised they could use their talents to give them an edge in the fight.
"Well, if you want to join the rebellion first you'll have to meet my mom." Glimmer then said
This had gotten Ben and Rook confused but then without warning Glimmer grabbed their hands and that of her friends and teleported away.
They reappeared in a small gully, it took Ben a moment to regain his footing and Glimmer had to kneel down given it took a lot of energy to teleport that many people.
"Gah dude a little warning before you…." Before Ben could finish his sentence he was stopped by a magnificent sight that lay before them.
They were laying eyes on the kingdom of Bright Moon water falls fell from the mountains that surrounded it and birds flew in the breeze. The Moonstone shone bright in the evening breeze.
"Ben, Rook welcome to the Kingdom of Bright Moon, one of the remaining free kingdoms of Etheria." Glimmer introduced.
"Whoa." Ben breathed in amazement. "Beautiful." Rook agreed.
With that the group proceeded towards the Kingdom and Ben took notice of the large glowing stone just outside the castle.
"Whats that thing?" Ben asked. "Its the Moonstone one of the magical rune stones." Bow explained.
"Each princess has their own runestone it's basically where they channel their elemental abilities and their powers." Glimmer explained.
They soon arrived at the castle entrance, and upon arrival they were greeted by the moon shaped spears of a platoon of guards. Rook and Ben were a little taken aback by this and slowly raised their hands.
"We, come in peace." Ben smiled innocently. "Stand down it's okay." Glimmer said to the guards, their with us, please tell the Queen we've brought in some new recruits for the rebellion."
The guards nodded and gestured for them to follow and so they entered the castle, Ben and Rook looked around and couldn't help but admire their new surroundings, Ben knew that Kai even Gwen would love it here as it has relics and magic written all over it.
They soon arrived at a large set of doors which they guessed would lead to the throne room.
"Now a little heads up before you meet my mom, she can be a little over bearing, unreasonable , overprotective and a little snotty and well…"
'Glimmer I've met over protective mothers before especially mine." Ben interrupted Glimmer.
"Yes but I would advise we be on our best behaviour Ben this is a queen we are meeting." Rook advised.
The doors opened to the throne room and it was a large room surrounded by a royal court and sitting on the throne was a tall woman with violet coloured skin and hair a similar colour to that of Glimmers, she wears a long blue cape, pink leotard and light purple leggings with purple boots, on her forehead she bears a gem matching her pearl drop earrings wearing white gloves. On her back she bears a pari of shimmering translucent wings like an angel.
Ben had to admit he had never seen anyone so majestic and beautiful as did Rook she truly was a ruler to be admired.
"Hey mo.." "Glimmer!" Angella interrupted rather loudly. "Where have you been!?"
Ben was a little spooked and he knew the look that Angelia had on her face as he had seen said look on his mothers face many times when he was little.
"I heard there was an attack near Thaymor?" Angellia then pointed out and then took notice of the two strangers that stood with her daughter and friends. "And who are they, don't tell me their more Horde Soldiers Glimmer…"
"Mom relax me Bow and Adora saw a shooting star earlier which was wired since there were no stars in the sky,." Glimmer explained interrupting her mother. "We thought it could help the rebellion so we went to take a look and we found what looked like a crash ship then we found something else."
"What did you find?" Angella asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Them." Glimmer stepped aside and gestured to Ben and Rook. "Mom this is Ben Tennyson and Rook Blonko, we found them near the crashed ship." She then explained. "Ben, Rook this is Angelia my mother, leader of the rebellion and queen of Bright Moon."
Ben and Rook saw this was the queen and so they both bowed down in respect to the ruler of this kingdom.
"Your majesty." Ben greeted as they bowed.
"They don't look familiar, yet they are not Horde soldiers either." Angelia observed looking at their garb and manner.
"That is because we are not of Etheria your highness." Rook explained getting her attention. "This may seem hard to believe but we come from a distant world called Earth, members of an intergalactic peace keeping force called the Plumbers."
The Queen listened as the stranger to her land explained themselves.
"We were sent to this sector to investigate some strange anomalies and a wormhole of unknown origin crashed our ship here on Etheria." Rook continued.
Ben looked at the queen and he saw she had a rather questionable yet surprised look on her face. He wasn't sure she was convinced by the story his partner told him and was a little worried this could land them in a dungeon.
"Your story sounds unbelievable however you do also speak the truth." Angella said much to their relief.
"Thats not all your highness Ben also has a gift that helped us fend of an attack near Thaymor." Bow then said.
"Go on Ben show her." Glimmer encouraged and Ben was a little nervous as he looked like he was before an expecting audience though he had been many times this time felt different.
Never the less he stood up and activated his Omnitrix and dialled in an alien revealing the hour glass symbol.
"You may want to shield your eyes." Ben warned as he slammed on the dial and the bright light blinded everyone in the room but the queen was able to shield herself with her wings. The light died down and she looked in shock.
Standing before her now was a muscular built blue and black creature with moth like wings sharp claws and ice blue patterns on his arms and legs, he had large green eyes with dark spots and on his waist was a green and white belt with the Omnitrix symbol on it.
"BIG CHILL!" The creature exclaimed and everyone gasped in shock.
"A shape shifter." Angella breathed rather amazed.
"Its more than that Mom." Glimmer pointed out and so Big Chill tapped the Omnitrix symbol changing to different switched to Swampfire, to Eatle, to Grey Matter, to Terraspin and finally to Echo Echo before reverting back to Ben.
"How is this possible?" Angella gasped. "Well thats kind of a long story your highness." Ben said
So he explained his and Rooks story about the Omnitrix, the Plumbers, his partnership with Rook and the many planets and foes they have faced. To say the Queen was surprised was an understatement.
"So why is it you are here before me now?" Angella then asked and Rook stepped forward.
"We wish to join the Rebellions fight against the Horde." He said and Ben took over.
"We've seen the devastation caused by them with our own eyes and after fighting along side your daughter and She-ra we wish to help you free your planet." Ben said. "Whilst we may not be of your world I know what they are doing is wrong, and I've seen tyrants and monsters like them before," Ben continued. "I've learned to never run from it, I don't seek a thrill from it we help because it's the right thing to do."
"Indeed and we never turn our backs on those who need help, so we wish to pledge allegiance to your cause, should you give us your blessing your highness." Rook and Ben then bowed before the Queen awaiting her response.
"I know the two of you speak the truth and whilst an unbelievable story I do believe you." Angella said as they listened. "And you wish to pledge allegiance to us, despite the dangers that are unknown to you?"
"Yes." Ben said. "We understand if you are not fully trusting of us but we would be willing to prove ourselves worthy of that trust." Rook added.
"And Glimmer, you would vouch for them and take responsibility for them as you did Adora?" Angella then asked her daughter.
"Yes." Glimmer answered. "We all would." Adora added as she and Bow stood by them.
Angella stood silently as she contemplated her decision she was a little weary of the two new comers as she is Adora when she joined the Rebellion, however if they can be an ally in the fight she had decided.
"Then rise, the rebellion accepts your allegiance Ben Tennyson and Rook Blonko of Earth." Angella decided.
So Ben and Rook rose with one final bow of respect before receiving cheers from everyone in the room. Glimmer, Bow and Adora wasted no time bringing the two in for a hug.
"EEE Welcome to Bright Moon boys!" Glimmer said happily.
"And to the Best friend Squad!" Bow added.
Ben and Rook smiled as they embraced their new found allies in a group hug.
Later as the night drew in Glimmer was showing Ben and Rook to their new rooms in the castle. They arrived at a room and opening the door it revealed a large room with a large circular looking bed packed with cushions the windows had a great view of the kingdom and the valley beyond it. When Glimmer left him alone to show Rook to his quarters Ben looked out at the view.
He then pulled out his phone and looked at the photos specifically of him and his loved ones, his parents, Gwen, Kevin, Grandpa Max and Kai. He bore a warm smile and looked at the sky above him.
"Someday somehow I'm going to get back to you." Ben said to himself. "But right now I'm where I need to be, and theres a planet to save."
He looked up into the starry night knowing he had gotten his wish, he wanted something different and he got it sure being on the front lines of a war wasn't what he had in mind but he knew to help when needed. He could feel there was something special about Adora not just the sword but something else. But what he did know was that from this point forward he was now in the middle of a secret war.
Elsewhere:
Far away deep in the Fright Zone, stood a lone sanctuary throne room to the leader of the Horde. Shadow Weaver entered the sanctum and climbed the stairs up to the throne there sat the leader of the Horde, Hordak who had a skull white face with glaring red eyes and blue hair on the top of his head he wore armour with glowing red lights on the arms and on the Horde Insignia that he bore on his chest.
"My Lorde Hordak." Shadow Weaver bowed. "What have you to report." Hordak asked.
"I have recently made a discovery, that outsiders not of Etheria have appeared in the Whispering Woods near Bright Moon." Shadow Weaver explained. "It was two boys one of whom bore an unusual device that I fear could be a seed of great trouble for the Horde, and Catra's failed attempt to apprehend these outsiders was…"
"You made the decision to send my forces to the woods without my consent!" Hordak growled knowing his second in command had gone behind his back again.
"My lord I did it out of concern," Shadow Weaver tried "this boy has the ability to shape shift into creatures not known to Etheria, should he side with the enemy…"
"Then your decision to send in Force Captain Catra and a squad of our forces to face an unknown enemy was ill advised!" Hordak finished.
"No matter if this shapeshifter interferes with our affairs just as She-Ra has then we shall eliminate them both, when and where I see fit." Hordak then ordered. "You would do well to remember your place."
"Yes my lord." Shadow Weaver understood.
Outside the sanctum Catra overheard the conversation and she smirked with satisfaction that Shadow Weaver was being scolded which she deserved given she treated Adora better than she treated her. However the thought of the shape shifter still lingered in her mind and how he was not only able to out manoeuvre her but over power her. But it mattered not, she was greatly looking forward to a rematch with Adora and this Ben Tennyson as she smirked in anticipation.
Authors notes: Looks like Ben and Rook have joined the Rebellion in the fight against the Horde! Its seriously Hero Time now! For the fight between Catra and Ben I decided to have some old school classics Diamondhead and Blitzwolfer (Benwolf) Since I thought a cat vs dog scenario would be good for the story. I know Catra doesn't gloat about getting Adora's promotion till the Sea Gate episode but in this story this'll be the first time they've fought since they parted in Thaymor. Now we move into the canon episodes of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, where we'll be starting at the Sea Gate, lets hope Ben and Rook packed their swimming trunks. Until the next chapter.
