Authors notes: Well folks the wait is over heres chapter 3 of Heroes of Power. Now before we begin theres something I would like to clear up, something that has been brought up in the reviews. And no I will not be using any of the Ultimate Aliens in this story, whilst a good idea I'm sticking to the canon Omniverse series. However thats not to say that the Omnitrix won't get an upgrade come the season 1 finale of Princesses of Power, as I said at the start I'm also using elements from the current Ben 10 reboot, because believe it or not there are certain elements and Aliens that I like about it.
But enough of that for now lets begin with the seagate.

:The Sea Gate:
The morning sun dawned upon Etheria and shone over the kingdom of Bright Moon. In his new found sleeping quarters Ben was fast asleep snoring his hair was a mess and he was only wearing his shirt and pants as he slept. He found it difficult to sleep on a very very soft bed but eventually he got used to it. Well almost he turned over and then sunk into the bed.
"Awww not again!" He groaned as he was stuck in the bed like he was caught between a side desk and a bed. He was this close to going full on Rath on this bed.
And just when Ben thought his morning couldn't get any worse.
"Good morning Ben!" Glimmer said cheerfully as she teleported in the room. Ben screamed and he tumbled off the bed and onto the solid ground.
"OW." He said. The Omnitrix bearer got up with his arms on the bed as he looked at Glimmer with bags under his eyes.
"Glimmer don't the words 'knock first' mean anything to people on this planet?" He groaned.
"Sorry hope you enjoyed your sleep." Glimmer said. "Come on Moms holding a war meeting in a few minutes."
"Okay give me a minute and.." "Hold up." Glimmer said interrupting Ben.
"First things first we need to find you a new set of clothes." She then said much to Bens confusion a new set of clothes?
"Whats wrong with what I'm wearing?" Ben looked at his current attire.
Though his trousers were okay, his shirt was torn up after the battle yesterday, and his shoes were wreaked he wasn't exactly going to be part of a rebellion the way he was now.
"Ben that shirt is ruined and frankly it doesn't really speak rebellion fighter." Glimmer explained.
The Omnitrix bearer could see she had a point but he didn't have a spare set of clothes with him which was a problem.
"Okay so you got something in mind?" he asked. "Yep follow me!" Glimmer said as she took Bens arm and teleported him away.
Glimmers room:
Sometime later in the morning, Adora, Bow, Rook, and Glimmer were gathered in Glimmers room waiting for someone to step out from somewhere. Rook was sitting on the stool in the room. They were looking for a new set of clothes for Ben but Rook was okay given he still had his Proto tech armour. Bow and Adora found some old clothes lying around and even contributed some of their spares.
"Well Ben what do you think?" Glimmer said and Ben stepped in not looking very pleased.
"Uh guys, I'm not sure this is going to fly." Ben grimaced.
His new 'clothes' were comprised of a mix match of clothes, with his normal brown trousers he now had a white short sleeved shirt under a jacket that was red and had gold linings and white sleeve cuffs, he also wore Adora's spare supply belt and Bows spare boots which luckily were in his size.
"Oh it it doesn't look so bad." Bow said trying not to laugh and Adora was trying to contain her laughter too.
"You know if I wasn't so tired I'd be insulted." Ben said. "Good thing I have reservations with that impossible bed."
"Oh you had that problem too huh." Adora noted given her own experience.
"Indeed whist very appreciated I did find sleeping on the floor with a sheet to be preferable." Rook agreed. "Also is the waterfall for showering?" He then asked.
"Okay we'll solve that later." Glimmer said. "And no it's not it's just for show."
"Yeah cause right now we need to solve my fashion problem I can't go out there looking like a clown!" Ben then exclaimed.
"Well we can work this out besides its not all bad." Adora noted, but Ben just pointed to the Horde symbol on her old supply belt and Adora just grimaced at that thought.
Then suddenly they started to hear a beeping noise in the room. Ben looked and saw it was coming from the Omnitrix, he wasn't sure why it was making this noise.
"Uh should your watch be making that noise?" Bow asked.
Before anyone could say anything the Omnitrix suddenly let loose a green line of energy that surrounded Ben and as it spread across him it changed the look of his clothes. He had a new appearance. The jacket was now green with black on the linings and on the shoulders with a white number 10 imprinted on the right of his chest with a white Omnitrix symbol on both his upper arms, the supply belt was now black and on the buckle was an Omnitrix hourglass symbol and the boots were now a black and green hourglass symbol too, the white shirt now had a bright green stripe on the front and lead up to his neck collar.
"Whoa." Bow said in awe and everyone couldn't believe what had just happened.
Ben looked over himself and his new appearance and he removed his jacket and saw he had a large green number 10 on the back of his shirt. He noticed the light green line on his shirt did remind him a little of the look a certain future counterpart of his wore.
"Now this is more like it." Ben admired. "How did it do that?" Adora asked.
"Dunno this watch has powers I haven't even discovered yet." Ben said looking at said watch.
Later the group was heading down to the war room and this did give Ben and Rook the time to look around their new surroundings. Rook couldn't help but admire the carvings and patterns on the wall. Outside some of the guards and fellow rebel fighters were bringing in the remains of the Proto Truck on a wagon per Rooks request to Glimmer and Queen Angella had it retrieved from the crash site he would have to repair it later.
Ben then noticed a certain pattern on the wall it looked like some kind of battle with a group of Horde Soldiers, and against a bearded individual.
"Hey Glimmer whats with the battle murals?" Ben asked and Glimmer looked at what he was talking about.
"Actually Ben thats a mural dedicated to my Father King Micah." Glimmer explained. "You see he perished in battle a long time ago."
Bens smile vanished as he had no idea of the murals significance let alone it commemorated the loss of a loved one.
"Oh I'm sorry." Ben apologetically. "Indeed you have our condolences." Rook agreed.
"Its okay, I don't remember much about him I was only little back then." Glimmer explained.
Ben decided to change the subject. "Okay so where's the nearest smoothie joint?"
"Uh, what's a smoothie?" Glimmer asked.
Ben just froze in shock. "You know frozen drink, blended flavours sold at places?!" he said a little panicked as he shook the princesses shoulders.
"Nope never heard of it." Glimmer said. "Well what about chilli fries, potato chips covered in chilli?!" He then asked.
"Nope sorry." Glimmer answered.
Ben just froze his eye twitched giving a blank stare.
"Uh are you okay?" Bow asked and all Ben could do was start laughing and not in a good way.
"Excuse me." He then said walking away and round the corner of a wall so he's in private.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" He cried it was so loud it nearly deathbed the group. Sometime later Ben came back looking a little calmer.
"Ah I'm cool lets go." Ben said rather calm leaving Glimmer, Bow and Adora a little confused.
"It is a beverage and food where we are from." Rook explained.
"Ah noted." Adora said as they moved down the corridor.
Rook then changed the subject before it got more awkward. "Ahem you mentioned when we first met about an alliance of some kind what is it exactly?"
"Oh you mean the Princess Alliance?" Glimmer asked to which the Revonnahgander nodded. "Well you see years ago an alliance was formed with the other rulers of Etheria to fight off the Horde, but after suffering a defeat years ago, they went their separate ways and none of them have been active members since I was little." Glimmer explained. "So since then other kingdoms keep to themselves as do the other Princesses."
"Ah hence the name." Rook guessed.
"But why quit just because of one defeat, didn't they hear the saying united we stand divided we fall?" Ben wondered.
"Like I said it was long ago, but we hope to rebuild the alliance to stop the Horde, and so far we've already recruited one princess." Glimmer said.
"And who would that be?" Rook asked.
"Greetings friends." They heard a voice and looked to see a slim fit young woman with tanned skin with freckles, brown eyes, wavy blonde hair that went down to her waist wearing a pink flowered tiara with a pink sundress and a green long sleeved shawl, and wears pink sandal like boots on her feet.
"Oh guys this is Princess Perfuma of Plumeria." Bow introduced. "We helped save her land and runestone from being poisoned by the Horde and now she's on our side."
"Yes thanks to the She-ra and her friends my people and I have a new purpose to protect our homes, whilst keeping to our way of life and the Universe will punish those who do evil but reward those who do great good." Perfuma said.
"Perfuma this is Ben Tennyson and Rook Blonko they're our newest recruits." Adora introduced.
"Uh pleasure to meet you." Ben said offering a hand shake only for a bouquet of flowers to appear in his hand. And a flower hat appears on Rooks head.
"Greetings new friends, may the universe guide you on your new found path." Perfuma greeted however she couldn't help but eye the Revonnahgander in an awe looking way.
"Uh yes pleasure to make your acquaintance your highness." Rook greeted as he kissed her hand as a gentleman should which did cause Perfuma to blush slightly.
"I apologise is this not how you greet one of royalty?" Rook said noticing her expression.
"Oh no no your gesture is appreciated." Perfuma said as she took her leave but Ben couldn't help but smirk.
"Wow partner way to make a first impression." he said in a teasing way however Rook had no idea what he was talking about.
Soon everyone arrived at the war room where Queen Angella was waiting with her general and two other princesses. Ben was instantly taken in by the surrounding murals and couldn't help but admire the artwork. As Adora, Bow and Glimmer took their seats Ben noticed two other princesses present at the table.
"Hey who are those two?" Ben asked Bow.
"Oh thats Spinerella and Netossa they were part of the old alliance but they stick around." Bow explained. "Hey guys." He waved and the Princesses waved back in response.
Ben waved as did Rook just for greeting. "So what can they do?" Ben asked. "Not really sure." Bow then said and with that Ben and Rook took their seats next to Bow and the meeting began.
"Council we're looking for plans to strengthen our defences against the Horde." Angella began. "Who would like to go first?"
In an instant Glimmers hand shot up into the air whilst everyone else was quiet.
"Me, me, me. Me, me me" Glimmer said like a school child.
"Who besides Glimmer would like to go first?" Angella said ignoring her daughter but still no one said anything.
Glimmer then stood from her seat. "Mom, Uh eugh," Glimmer straightened up. "Your majesty you should let me Bow and Adora continue our princess recruitment mission, and I think Ben and Rook could be a big help to us." Glimmer gestured to the two new recruits.
"If we can form a new Princess Alliance, The Rebellion would actually stand a chance for once."
"The Princesses withdrew from the last alliance." Angella pointed out. "They chose to focus on protecting their own lands."
"So are we supposed to just give up?" Glimmer questioned.
Ben then rose his hand to which Angella noticed. "Yes Ben?"
"Uh your majesty no disrespect but how can the princesses protect their own lands if these Horde bozos are focussing their efforts on bringing down your kingdom?" Ben said. "If it does fall the Horde would come for them next and from what Glimmers told us maybe a new alliance would help all lands stand a fighting chance."
Glimmer smiled knowing Ben was behind her plan.
"He's right Mom, please let me try, all I'm proposing is a diplomatic mission." Glimmer agreed.
Eventually the queen had to concede and listen to her daughters proposal for this 'diplomatic mission'.
"So, what do you propose?" She asked.
Glimmer then touches the war table and it activates a holo map of Etheria to which Ben was more than surprised.
"Whoa cool holo map." Ben said.
"Anyone approaching Bright Moon by sea needs to pass through the Salineas Seagate." Glimmer explained as the holo map showed an arrow and a Horde symbol showing the route to Bright Moon by sea.
"Its controlled by Mermista now that her fathers retired, with her on our side the rebellion could control the seas." Glimmer continued. "We NEED this alliance with her Mom."
Angella could see the benefits of this plan but was not sure if it was worth the journey given the route they would need to take.
"The journey is treacherous Glimmer I'm not sure." Angella said uncertain.
"Queen Angella if I may speak." Rook requested standing from his seat and had his arms behind his back.
"Go ahead Rook." Angella acknowledged.
"Thank you, whilst I understand the risks of the journey I do see the tactical merits of your daughters proposal." Rook explained. "You have told us how the Whispering Woods surrounds Bright Moon, and prevents the Horde from attacking by air and the ground, however, should the sea remain open to them it would give them a tactical advantage for an attack, if we gain an alliance with Princess Mermista we take away that advantage ensuring strengthened defences around Bright Moon."
"Besides Mom with She-Ra and Bens powers we can conquer anything." Glimmer agreed.
"And uh we're also gonna need a boat." Adora pointed out.
"Yeah if Rooks ship was working we could fly there but given our crash landing thats a no go." Ben agreed.
"With She-Ra, Bens power and a boat we can conquer anything." Glimmer corrected her statement.
"Aaaand an experienced Sea Captain." Bow pointed out which had made Glimmer groan in annoyance that she had to amend her statement again.
"With She-Ra, Bens Powers, a boat and an experience sea captain we can conquer anything." She said gritting her teeth.
Angella took a moment to think about all the points made and finally.
"Very well." Angella decided much to Glimmers gasp of joy.
"YES!" She said in joy as she teleported over to her mom, give her a hug and kiss her on the cheek before teleporting away again.
"I mean it Glimmer." Angella then said in a strict voice. "No Violence and no collateral damage." She then looks to the two new recruits for this mission.
"Ben, Rook this will be your first mission for the rebellion please let it be a successful one." She said.
"You can count on us your majesty." Ben said confidently. "and we'll try to keep the damage down."
"Yes we will not fail you, on the collateral damage part Ben may have difficulties." Rook said to which Ben pouted at that remark.
"Thanks mom you won't regret it." Glimmer said rather fast as she put her arms around her friends and teleported them away.
This left Angella to sigh hoping her daughter would not cause any trouble and her faith in the new recruits pays off.
Sea Worthy:
Far from the Whispering Woods, on the coastline of the seas stood a cliff with buildings built into the side of it, it was a small fishing village. Boats were in the port flying outside of it.
Glimmer, Adora, Ben, Bow and Rook had just arrived at this sea town and upon entering what looked like a tavern they looked to see a number of Etherians at tables drinking, dancing, playing cards and even making some deals. To Ben this reminded him of the Black Hole club back in Under-town even something out of a Pirates of the Caribbean movie. Near the group someone was drinking from a bottle using a tube in its face.
"This is so cool." Bow said rather excited. "Seaworthy is just like I imagined it. Everyone here looks like a real pirate!"
"I think that is because everyone here is a real pirate Bow." Rook pointed out.
"Yeah this looks like the kind of place Rad would hang out in." Ben noted referring to a certain smuggler they know.
"Who?" Adora asked.
"Focus, guys." Glimmer said getting the groups attention. "We're just here to find a sea captain."
"No pirates?" Bow said rather saddened. "No pirates." Glimmer confirmed.
"Arrr." Bow said sadly.
"None of these people look qualified to sail a ship." Adora noticed looking around rather judgemental.
"I agree, most of them look to be mercenaries and smugglers." Rook agreed.
"How can you tell?" Bow asked.
"Bow lets just say in our line of work its not the first hive of scum and villainy we've been in and it probably won't be the last." Ben explained.
Glimmer heads over to the bar to look for possible candidates for a sea captain.
"Excuse me." she chuckled and looked and saw the bartender was a rather muscular looking woman with dark purple skin, white hair and a hook tattoo on her back.
"Uh we're looking for a sea captain to take us to Salineas." Glimmer said rather scared.
The bartender points to a booth where two Etherians are having an armwrestling match with someone surrounded by spectators. Their opponent sadly wins the match.
"I won!" Called a voice. "Drinks all around, put it on my friend here's tab."
Once the Etherians left defeated the group approached rater nervously.
"Uh hii." Glimmer chuckles. "We were told you're a sea captain?"
The sea captain was resting in the booth with his feet on the table he was a tanned well built man with burgundy hair held back by a black head band, black eyes and a natural moustache. He wore a white shirt with a square collar, a triangle cut out with a red neckerchief, a blue jacked with gold accents, brown bracers dark grey pants, a brown belt with a holster, thigh high cuffed leather boots with gold tips on the soles.
"I am the one and only Sea Hawk." He introduced, as he jumped up onto the table to over look the group. "Has my reputation preceded me?" He asks.
Bow just looked in awe whilst Adora, Rook, Glimmer and Ben just had questionable looks. The Omnitrix bearer could see this guy was clearly a show off.
"Your name is Sea Hawk? Thats the coolest name I've ever heard!" Bow said in awe.
"Eh I've heard better." Ben shrugged.
Glimmer took her seat at the table with Sea Hawk. "Captain Sea Hawk, We're interviewing potential captains to take us to Slineas." She explained. "Would you like to apply for the position?"
Sea Hawk just laughed they were asking him to apply for something.
"Apply for the position?" He said. "I am the one and only Sea Hawk. I'm offer only."
"Okay. Just because 'sea' is in your name, doesn't tell us anything about your ACTUAL qualifications." Adora questioned as she put her hand on the table.
"Indeed Captain, we seek qualified sailors for this voyage, do you have any valid credentials in your field of work?" Rook also questioned.
"Qualifications?" Sea Hawk questioned "I once ran the 50- klick Galebreath Gauntlet in less than 20 klicks. I manevered the straits of Serpentine with nary a chip on the paint of my bow." He said gloating.
"Yeah and I've beaten five Incursians in a game of tennis?" Ben doubted.
"Have you though?" Rook asked. "Not the point Rook." Ben gritted his teeth.
"Well my shanties are considered so desirable, that sirens themselves fling themselves into the sea at the sound of them." Sea Hawk then said as Bow gasped in awe.
"And because I can tell you're wondering, my moustache is … naturally shiny." The sea captain brushed his moustache which shined and glows for empathic.
"It IS shiny." Bow said looking at his moustache. "You're hired."
Glimmer just elbows Bow and pushes him aside whilst Sea Hawk just sat down again.
"Whoa there, kids." Sea Hawk stopped them for a moment. "What makes you think you can afford me?"
"Kids? I'm nearly eighteen!" Ben pointed out.
" I assure, Captain Sea Hawk, money is no object." Glimmer added,
Sea Hawk then pulls from his shirt a slip of paper and hands it to Glimmer.
"What is this?" Rook asked. "Behold my fee." Sea Hawk answered.
Glimmer opened the folded slip of paper and took a look at the proposed fee, and well lets just say it was a big one, she gasped as did everyone else when they saw it. Ben just looked wide eyed at this even Rad Dudesman didn't charge this much!
"Money might be an object." Glimmer admitted with a sheepish smile.
"WHAT that price is highway robbery!" Ben exclaimed.
"Indeed perhaps it is best we just interview another candidate." Rook suggested. With that Glimmer agreed and they headed off.
"Good luck with that." Said a rather smug looking Sea Hawk. "You won't find another soul who knows the treacherous rout to Salineas, as well as I do."
"You have been there before?" Rook questioned.
"I brave it often to visit my close personal friend, Princess Mermista." The very mention of the name had now gotten the Best Friend squads attention.
"You know her?" Glimmer gasped. "Uh do I?" Sea Hawk questioned. Ben then comes over and puts his hand on the table.
"Okay maybe we can arrange some kind of parley." Ben offered as he reached into his pocket. "Perhaps this will change your mind about the fee."
Ben held out a small crystal the same kind of crystal a certain alien of his was made from. Sea Hawk took the crystal and looked at it carefully.
"And what would this be?" He asked.
"That is Taydenite, my good man, where I'm from that is the most valuable gem in the galaxy, and worth a lot to the right people." Ben explained in a knowing way.
Rook could see his partner was trying to bribe the sea captain and it seemed like the sea captain had taken an interest. But sadly.
"Hm sorry my good man but I don't take bribes." Sea Hawk said. "But I, do like this crystal though."
Ben just slumped in defeat his plan didn't work, so Adora took over. She laughed and put her hand down on the table sitting opposite to the sea captain with her other arm up.
"Okay well heres the deal we go one round, winner takes all." Adora pitched. "You win we leave you alone. I win, you take us to Salineas, At no cost. We'll even let you keep the crystal."
Sea Hawk just flinched at that challenge but could never resist a challenge.
"Thats a terrible deal." Sea Hawk said. "But I am undefeated at arm wrestling. Let me show you how its done lassie!"
The two joined hands and started arm wrestling grunting with all their strength.
"Goo Adora put him in the dirt!" Bow cheered. "This is so dumb." Glimmer simply said.
"I do have concerns that this plan may not work." Rook agreed.
"I so would have gone Four-arms and aced this." Ben then said. "But hey what have we got to lose."
"Ha is this the best you've got?" Sea Hawk taunted. "I once best a Turosaur with biceps the size of my head in an armwrestling match that lasted two weeks!"
Adora put all the effort she could into this arm wrestling match with Bow and Ben looking over her hoping she'd win, then finally..
"HA!" Adora slammed his hand down and claimed victory.
"YEAH!" Bow cheered giving Adora a high five.
"Nice one!" Ben agreed giving her a high five too.
Sea Hawk could only frown he had been defeated for once in his life.
"Well truth be told, I let you win so as to.." He was about to say the wrong thing but then changed his statement. "Ahem boost your confidence."
"Sure you did." Rook smirked knowingly.
The sea captain then clears his throat. "I've been wanting to go to Salineas anyway." He hopped over the table and over to their side and held Glimmer close.
"Come on, kids with me Forward to adventure!" He proclaimed as they took their leave.
However unbeknownst to them they were being watched by a shadow spy looming on the balcony above, it hissed as it disappeared to follow them. Rook looked back to said balcony as he had heard something, however there was nothing there, so he just left with the others.
The Fright Zone:
Shadow Weaver was watching the events unfold in her magical reflecting pool in the Black Garnet chamber and Catra stood to the side watching her.
"Adora and her new, companion Ben Tennyson are in Seaworthy." Shadow Weaver said. "I'm giving you one more chance to bring her back."
"Uh.. didn't Hordak just order you to stop going after Adora?" Catra questioned.
"And who is going to tell him you?" Shadow Weaver then questioned back knowing her master wouldn't believe her failed protege.
Catra just glared at her at the prospect but never the less went along with it.
"Fine." She conceded. "About time you started treating me like a Force Captain anyway. I'll bring her back and maybe even get some payback on that shape shifter as well."
She was about to leave the chamber on her mission until.
"Not so faaast." Shadow Weaver said chidingly as she turned to face the feline Force Captain.
"Given the presence of this Ben Tennyson, you won't be going alone." She explained. "You'll be joined by Force Captain Scorpia.
All of a sudden rather loud footsteps entered the room and a dark sillohete appeared. Catra turned around and saw a rather large intimidating figure standing behind her. She was a rather large muscular female with some traits of a scorpion such as large red pincers with a large red stinger. She has white undercut hair and is wearing a crimson and maroon Horde uniform.
There was an intimidating scilence, until. "Kitty!" Scorpia went from big and intimidating to cute and gushy. She picked up Catra who was groaning.
"Just so you know I'm a hugger." Scorpia said as Catra struggled free finally leaping out of her hold over to Shadow Weaver.
"IS THIS SOME KIND OF JOKE!" Catra questioned.
"Scorpia will see that you are…kept in line, and to provide some muscle should you cross paths with the shapeshifter." Shadow Weaver explained as Scorpia just growled at the thought of this new partnership but decided not to question.
"Okay whatever, your at least giving me a vehicle right?" she then asked.
"Something like that." Shadow Weaver answered rather vague.
However the vehicle Shadow Weaver provided them with was one that Catra really didn't like she looked rather terrified over the edge of a Horde ship that was sailing across the open metal creaked as the waves brushed against it.
"No… not"
"Boats! Oh I just love boats, don't you?" Scorpia interrupted a rather nervous looking Catra. "Wind in your hair, ocean on every side, miles and miles from the nearest dry land." Every word Scorpia said was of little comfort to the water phobic Catra. "watery death awaiting at the slightest mishap.. man thats what I call living."
Water suddenly splashes up near Catra who shrieked and fell backwards.
"Yeah I'm really gonna need you to shut up.." Catra said looking rather unnerved.
"Aw are you seasick?" Scorpia aa asked to which Catra replied by huffing a groan and scraping her claws through the metal railing. Suddenly out of the blue Scorpia picked her ip in bridal style.
"Now just focus on me, okay? It'll help." Scorpia advised however Catra just struggled free from her clutches.
"Put me down!" She manages to get free and walks angrily away. "What is wrong with you?"
However the two then noticed some of the crewmen Lonnie, Kyle and Rogelio standing nearby playing with Kyle's cup ball which was tapping. The three then noticed the two Force Captains on deck.
"What are you looking at? Get back to doing boat things!"Catra ordered and Kyles cup ball squeaks as it lands on his head out of nervousness whilst Lonnie runs away and Rogelio lifts Kyle and follows her.
Elsewhere:
Somewhere on the far sea the Best Friend Squad along with Ben, Rook and Sea Hawk had just gotten underway on course to their destination.
"Welcome aboard The Dragon's Daughter…3" Sea Hawk introduced the crew to his ship which had a rather large curved sail atop it as it glided above the sea.
"What happened to The Dragons Daughters I and II?" Adora scoffed.
"Tragically they went down in flames." Sea Hawk said sadly and it was almost as if an accordion was playing in the background.
"How did that happen?" Bow asked in awe with sparkles in his eyes.
"Were you attacked or something?" Ben asked.
"No I set them on fire." Sea Hawk explained. He leaped to the bow of his ship and pointed the way ahead."ADVENTURE!" He bellowed.
Rook and Adora looked with rather questionable looks about the capabilities of this sea captain.
"I do not understand why he would set his own ships on fire?" Rook questioned.
"Yeah are we sure about this guy?" Adora agreed quietly
"He just needs to get us there." Glimmer said.
"Well if anything he does provide some on board amusement," Ben mused.
Sea Hawk then turned to his passengers. "You'll of course be expected to earn your keep by helping out around the ship." He said. "Never fear I will teach you everything you need to know.. in shanty form!" He started to vocalise. "Oooooh.."
However before he could finish he noticed that Bow was tightening a rope knot and hops over to his side. "What are you doing?" He asked.
"Oh I noticed you mainsail wasn't secured, so I fixed it." Bow explained.
Sea Hawk saw the knot was tied very well. "Tying proper knots is a task that takes years to master… You did these just now?!"
"Yes." Bow answered whilst giving off a bit of a blush. "Sea Hawk is impressed with my knots! this is the best day of my life!" He said in his mind.
"Excellent work." Sea Hawk bitterly admitted "Even if it is just beginners luck." He put a hand on Bow's shoulder. "We'll also need to set a look out."
He then went over to Glimmer and sat next to her hand leaning on her as she grunted in surprise. "Come on, Sparkle, we'll sing a shiny duet and I'll show you how to climb the ratlines…" He starts vocalising. "Ooooh."
"However before he could finish Glimmer teleported away and reappeared on the crows nest much to Sea Hawks surprise.
"Wait, how did she…" "Yeah she does that." Ben pointed out to the sea captain. Then Adora and Rook walked up.
"Rook and me unfurled the jib." She said.
"By yourselves?" Sea Hawk said in surprise. "Not even a sailor as experienced as… me could do that."
"Sir I am trained to pilot any craft be it land or sea." Rook pointed out.
"Oh so what your saying is, I'm better at this than you are?" Adora then added rather smugly.
Glimmer then appeared next to the two teleporting down from the crows nest. "And the name is Glimmer." She said.
"Well you are a strangely overqualified crew." Sea Hawk noticed. "What do you even need old Sea Hawk for?"
"Your map?" Glimmer said and Sea Hawk reached into his shirt and pulled out a map and handed it to Glimmer who teleported back up to the crows nest.
"Can we focus on our super important mission here? More sailing, less shanty-ing." Glimmer reminded.
"Aye aye captain." Ben said out of pirates sake.
Sea Hawk just pouted at that notion but then looked more happy.
"Of course, Shimmer! A top secret mission from the Queen!" Sea Hawk then said. "I'll get you there straight away. I'm as excited to see my dearest Mermista as I know she is to see me." He said rather enthusiatically.
"MY NAME IS GLIMMER!" Glimmer shouted.
"Oooooh!" Sea Hawk started a shanty.
"I'm Sea Hawk, I am, I am If you're looking for adventure, then I am your man. " He cuts through a sail with his sword.
"If you want to ride On the waves of deepest blue, Through perilous winds Then I got you." He catches Bow before he slips of the crows nest.
"Some say I'm a hero,Some say I'm a man! " Sea Hawk stands proud near a flag of himself with Bow looking in awe whilst the others look with blank stares. Then moving to flex his muscles.
"What I know for sure is I'm Sea Hawk, I am, I am!" The shanty ends with Bow playing a violin. "Ha ha Adventure."
Rook just facepalmed himself whilst Ben gave off a sigh. "Is this guy for real?"
As time went by Rook was now in the crows nest whilst Glimmer was taking a break. However he noticed nearby was a small graveyard of ships and could hear the creaking metal from here. He looked to the map and could see something is amiss.
"Somethings not right." Rook noticed. "Glimmer!" He called and as if on cue Glimmer appeared in the crows nest next to him.
"What is it?" She asked.
"I have looked over the map and by the position of that graveyard we are miles off course from our destination." Rook reported.
"What?" Glimmer exclaimed as Rook handed her the map and she could see the Plumbers bearings were correct.
Down below the two could hear cheering and they saw Sea Hawk was having an arm wrestling match with Ben who was holding his own.
"Yeah WHOOO Lets go come on Ben!" Bow cheered and eventually Ben slammed Sea Hawks fist against the crate surrounded by cheers.
"OH YEAH THATS HOW ITS DONE IN BELLWOOD!" Ben cheered.
"Best three out of five!" Sea Hawk protested. "Okay I'm up next." Adora said.
Just then Glimmer and Rook teleported down to the crew and put her hands on the table.
"No no more armwrestling." Said Glimmer firmly. "Rook spotted a ship graveyard in the distance and we're heading straight for it."
Suddenly something lurking in the gloomy sea below swam by the ship.
"Is anyone worried about this?!" Glimmer then said.
All of a sudden something slammed into the side of the ship with such force shaking everyone on board. Everyone screamed in surprise.
"What in the name of Sumo Slammers was that?!" Ben exclaimed.
"We must have hit a reef." Rook guessed.
"Ah ha we are here!" Sea Hawk said suddenly another shock sends the crew flying to the ground.
Everyone heads over to the side of the ship looking for what ever was there, when all of a sudden something knocked the ship from below knocking everyone off balance everyone got up again as Sea Hawk on the other hand looked with anticipation.
"The Serpent of the sea I knew he'd be lurking in these waters." He said then Glimmer suddenly realised.
"Wait, you brought us here on purpose!" Glimmer growled.
Everyone screamed as the serpent jumped from the water and rocked the ship with the shockwave from the waves.
"What on earth would possess you to bring us to the lair of a carnivorous sea serpent!?" Rook questioned in anger.
"You see, I don't just provide sea transport." Sea Hawk helps Bow up from the floor. "I give you a tale to tell your friends!" He pulls Rook, Glimmer and Bow close to his side. "Come on crew. We're in for a harrowing ADVENTURE!"
The serpent bursts from the sea giving the rather terrified crew a hard look at this beast it was large with greyish green scales and its face looked almost like tentacles and had what looked like large and small green eyes as the sea crashed against it.
"Oh this is going to be harrowing alright." Ben called as the crew looked to him activating his Omnitrix and selecting the alien for the task.
"Cause this sea monsters gonna get a harrowing tussle with a friend I like to call Humungousaur!" Ben slammed down on the dial.
However instead of getting the alien he dialled in instead he transformed into a jellyfish like being with white stripes on his body which resembled lightning strikes and a main body with three skirt like parts for his head, chest and abdomen and six long had large looking green eyes barely open. The Omnitrix symbol was located on his mouth.
"AmpFibian?" He said looking at himself seeing he got the wrong alien again, "Why am I not surprised."
"What in…" "For the Honour of Greyskull!" Called a voice interrupting the startled sea captain and a glow of light turned Adora into She-ra.
She-Ra ran into battle with sword in hand running past Bow and the others. "Watch this!"
She-Ra leaps from the ship and towards the monster lifting her sword as she shouted and clangs the sword against the creatures teeth and the serpent roars and hisses in pain.
"Oh yeah watch this!" AmpFibian exclaimed and let loose a blast of electricity from his tentacles at the sea below shocking the beast.
It hisses and slinks down underneath the water with She-Ra yelling as the water crashes. AmpFibian then jumps into the water after them given he's designed for water battles as Hawk was still surprised by this sudden development.
"Is this a normal thing they do?" He asked.
"Yeah it takes some getting used to." Bow explained. "Especially the whole shapeshifting thing."
"Indeed." Rook agreed.
Suddenly She-Ra bursts to the surface. "Got it!" Suddenly the serpent drags her back under. "Wait no!"
However this development made Glimmer crosser than ever.
"Let me get this straight." She began. "You steered us into a giant sea serpent just so you could, what SHOW OFF!" She said looking to Sea Hawk.
Just then AmpFibian appeared on the surface after a bright glow. "Its okay we got him on the ropes now…" He was suddenly dragged back under by the serpent.
"That was the plan, until your tall friend and that over grown jelly fish STOLE MY THUNDER!" Sea Hawk said pretty upset.
"Seriously?!" Rook questioned. "Unbelievable!" Glimmer said angrily.
"We're trying to save Etheria and all you care about is whether we're impressed with you!" Glimmer shouted. "I need this mission to go right or my mom will never give me another one!" She shielded her face and leaned down on the railing muffling.
"Glimmer please calm down." Rook said. "Look captain just get us to Selineas you have wasted enough time with your so called diversion!" He then said.
Just then a bright light and some bubbles emerged from the sea and seconds later AmpFibian and Adora emerged from the sea.
"Okay we defiantly got him this time!" AmpFibian called.
"Yeah we got it We're all good!" Adora chuckled in agreement.
"BEN, ADORA! GET IN THE BOAT!" Glimmer said rather agitated just as the Omnitrix timed out and turned AmpFibian back to Ben.
Later as the evening began to draw in just outside the Selineas Seagate a certain Horde ship was hidden near some deck Kyle was watching through the looking glass that is until Catra walks to the top of the ship.
"Why have we stopped?" Catra questioned a rather startled Kyle.
"The Sea Gate is blocking our path, theres no way past Force Captain Catra." Kyle reported saluting.
"WHAT?" Catra questioned in a high pitched voice.
She jumped down and leaps on top of Kyle's shoulders taking the telescope from him and as she propelled herself off him he falls to the ground whilst she lands on the bow railing. Looking through the spy glass she sees the Seagate ahead.
"Oh Shadow Weaver didn't bother to mention that there was a massive gate blocking the way to Seaworthy!" Catra said rather irritated.
"Wait didn't you learn about the Salineas Sea Gate in Force Captain Orientation?" Scorpia asked a she walked over.
"Theres a Force Captain Orientation?!" Catra questioned not knowing about this.
"Oho yes there is!" Scorpia chuckled causing Catra to groan in annoyance.
In the background Lonnie, and Rogelio were busy laughing at Kyle with his cup ball. Catra then stands lashing her tail.
"ALL HANDS ON DECK!" She yelled. "We're finding a way through that gate."
"Oo, impressive Captain yell." Scorpia admired.
Meanwhile on the other side of the seagate the Dragons Daughter III had arrived at their destination though Ben was a little surprised.
"So this is Selineas?" Ben asked. "Yeah this is it." Adora said, "Not what you expected."
"Well to be honest I thought it was going to be some underwater version of Atlantis." Ben said.
"Atlantis?" Glimmer asked.
"Atlantis is a mythical hidden city which according to legends on Earth, was swallowed up beneath the sea during a great catastrophe millions of years ago yet no ruins were ever discovered." Rook explained.
"Wow you must have some real weird legends where your from." Bow noted.
Soon the ship docked at what is the harbour and everyone disembarked looking around them nearly everything in the city was in the shape of a seashell. However Bow noticed something else.
"Where is everyone?" He wondered and he was right the city looked completely deserted.
"Yeah this place is a total ghost town." Ben noticed as he heard the wind blow through the empty city.
"Hmm very odd indeed." Sea Hawk noticed. "If I know the princess Mermista, and I I do, somethings amiss."
"HALT!" Suddenly everyone heard someones voice and in the distance on one of the far buildings lay a single guard armed with somekind of trident he wore turquoise and green armour with fish like patterns on it.
"HALT HALT I SAY." The guard calls as he ran down from the tower panting with effort and soon made his way down to the crew, Ben and Adora just looked at each other shrugging in confusion.
"Halt!" The guard the guard was before them just managing to catch his breath. "Whats your business in Selineas?" He asked still dripping sweat.
"We've come to speak with Princess Mermista.." "Tell her Sea Hawk is with them, she'll be excited to see me."Said a rather smug Sea Hawk who interrupted Glimmer.
Rook gave Ben a silent look that said he had his doubts and Ben nodded in response for he was right.
"Ew, who let him back in here?"
In the throne room of Salineas sat a princess on its shell shaped throne surrounded by water falls and patterns on the walls.
The princess herself was a dark skinned girl with deep teal coloured hair with a wave like pattern and brown eyes. She wears a track suit with teal and turquoise scales, a gold collar, gold and turquoise pauldrons, gold bracelets, golden ear cuffs and gold teal turquoise and wore blue hightop sneakers on her feet she had black nail polish on her nails.
Sea Hawk runs to the princesses throne with the crew and guard following not to far behind.
"Princess! Oh it's been too long I have dreamed of you night and day since we parted." He said bowing on the ground.
"Uh huh." Mermista said unamused. "and who are you?"
The guard shoves the sea captain from behind as the group approaches.
"My name is Glimmer of Bright Moon." Glimmer introduced. "We've never met, but our parents fought together in the Rebellion together.
"Oh, yeah… I remember hearing about the old Princess Alliance. My dad said it was a total disaster." Mermista remembered.
Glimmer looked down rather upset by that memory as did Bow and Adora.
"Man real life of the party, this one." Ben whispered to Rook who nodded in agreement as they thought other princesses would be just as fun as Perfuma but boy were they wrong.
"I didn't think it was possible but your beauty grows greater with each passing day…" Sea Hawk gets elbowed by the guard.
"Will you quit it I'm trying to talk to my new friend Twinkle." Mermista said and Glimmer frowned that no one could get her name right.
"Uh her names Glimmer you know." Ben pointed out.
"Yeah whatever, Butler can you bring us some hors-dourves?" Mermista requested.
The guard placed his staff leaning against the throne and then places a cloth on his arm then walks away.
"Ooo, hors-oeuvres" Sea Hawk said rather excited.
"For everyone but Sea Hawk." The Princess then said as the sea captain slides himself onto the thrones armrest.
"Your guard is also your butler?" Bow questioned.
"Your majesty where exactly is everyone, upon our arrival the city was completely deserted?" Rook then asked.
"I'm a little understaffed right now." Mermista explained as she elbows Sea Hawk off her throne, picks up her trident and walks over to the window.
"Everybody fled because the Gate is falling apart or whatever.."
"WHAT!" The group said.
"Yeah I know right." Mermista scoffed as she motioned with her staff and the water flowing over the window recedes to reveal said seagate. "It figures that I would inherit a kingdom thats crumbling, but it's totally fine, I'm handling it."She looked at her reflection in the window."It's just kind of inconvenient because the Horde won't stop attacking us."
"So why's the gate falling apart?" Ben asked as he and Glimmer came over to her.
"I mean who knows, but it's getting weaker everyday and if the Horde tries to attack us again, we're pretty much dead." Mermista explained.
"The Horde is the reason we're here." Glimmer explained. "We want to rebuild the Princess Alliance. None of us stand a chance on our own, but we might be able to stop them together."
However despite Glimmers proposal Mermista remains unconvinced. Ben could see it in her eyes as she walked away from the window.
"Yeah cause that went so great the first time." Mermista scoffed. "Why should I help Bright Moon? its not like they've ever done anything to help us."
"Uh haven't done anything to help you?" Ben questioned.
"Look princess I don't know if your aware of this but Bright Moons been on the front lines of this war with the Horde, and pretty soon they will fall, and after that what then?" He questioned." They'll come for everyone else and don't you think you should I don't know give them a hand in this fight?"
"Uh yeah right and who are you supposed to be?" Mermista said.
"I'm Ben Tennyson, someone who knows that Bright Moon can't fight this battle alone if we unite against the Horde we can just as easily turn the tide." Ben said simply.
"Ben is correct your highness." Rook agreed. "as you have said that Seagate won't last forever, you must help in this fight against the ones who wish to lay waste to your home."
Mermista did take a moment to take in what the two strangers had said to her but that was interrupted by a certain sea captain.
"Mermista if I may." Sea Hawk was ready to give another shanty until.
"No no more shanties!" Mermista said then looked to Glimmer. "Why did you bring him here? He is so ANNOYING!" She gritted through her teeth.
Bow looked to Sea Hawk all but confused. "I thought you said she liked you?"
"We have a rich and complicated past." Sea Hawk admitted.
Mermista then came over and sat back down on her throne. "If by that you mean you got us kicked out of the Dolphin Social for challenging the doorman to a duel, then sure."
"I don't recall doing that." Sea Hawk said as he flung himself into the princesses lap causing her to drop her trident.
"And that time that you set our gondola on fire in the Tunnel of Love?" Mermista reminded as she tossed Sea Hawk off her and onto the ground.
"Ooo that I do recall." Sea Hawk said as he leaned on the throne with his elbow.
"Dude, why would you set your gondola on fire in a Tunnel of Love?" Ben questioned rather skeptically.
"It was for uh romantic lighting." Sea Hawk tried.
"No that seems a bit extreme to me?" Ben said. "Well you would know about that." Rook pointed out.
"Whats that supposed to mean?" Ben asked his partner.
"Well according to Gwendolyn you have been known to go a little over the top on your dates." Rook explained.
"I haven't the foggiest idea what she means." Ben said in he recalled some of his past dates with some of his ex's.
Back during the Highbreed conspiracy on his first date with Julie he ended up fighting living carnival rides caused by a dog version of Upgrade which wasn't so bad. Then on one date with Gwen's friend Emily she ended up webbed to the top of a 200 foot high tower when he turned into Spider-Monkey when he was fighting off bad guys. Then of course there was the whole arranged marriage with Princess Looma Red Wind courtesy of Kevin who he had to fight just to stop her from harming the Kraaho tribe and a double date with his ex Ester, Rook and his girlfriend Rayona. The fight in the Bellwood museum with Kai and Ester during the Time War incident with Maltruants goons. And to top the lot a certain game show where a bunch of Bens ex's fought for Bens hand as his girlfriend.
"Okay maybe a few but not all the time!" Ben admitted.
Meanwhile Adora was too distracted to listen to the story of Bens crazy love life, as she was looking at the mural on the wall one that seemed to resemble the seagate itself.
"This is First Ones writing." She said looking at the writing on the mural. Mermista then looked over to her as she's only just noticed.
"And who is she again? What is she doing?" She asked.
"Thats Adora. She has a magic sword." Bow explained. "Oh and Ben has a fancy shape shifting watch."
Ben and Glimmer run over to Adora to see what she was looking at.
"Wait you can read that?" Ben asked. "Yea I can." Adora explained.
"What does it say?" Glimmer asked.
Adora touches the mural examining it carefully. "Uh its something about the gate…" She said. "The First Ones must have built it."
However as Ben looked at the mural he noticed something about it though he couldn't understand the writing he defiantly recognised the layout.
"Hold on, I may not know much about these First One guys, but I recognise a blueprint when I see one." Ben noted as Rook came over and could see what his partner was talking about.
"Very astute Ben this appears to act as a schematic for the Seagate." Rook agreed. "Adora what else does it say?"
"It looks like the gate gets its power from the Sailinean Runestone." Adora said looking at the illustration of the gate and the runestone that took residence above Mermista's throne.
"It could be that the gate is failing because it's losing its connection to the power source." Adora deduced.
"Oh so its a loose connection fix that and we fix the seagate." Ben guessed.
"Adora, if your sword is made of the same technology it is possible it could help fix the gate." Rook deduced.
"Do you think you can fix it?" Glimmer asked Adora.
"I can try." Adora shrugged. Glimmer then turned back to Mermista who sat on her throne.
"Look Mermista, you need our help, and we need yours." Glimmer proposed. "If Adora can repair your gate, will you consider joining us? Please?"
Mermista just groaned as she swung her head back. "I don't know I guess." Mermista agreed. "But he has to leave."
Sea Hawk looked rather disheartened by that notion that he wasn't wanted."But where am I supposed to go?" He said sadly.
Bow just grabbed Sea Hawk by the shoulders and lead him towards the door. "Maybe wait with the boat, okay, buddy? We'll take care of the gate. he said in some form of assurance.
Rook couldn't help but feel sorry for the hopeless romantic going sea captain in someway he just wanted to be taken seriously.
Soon everyone was outside on a floating rock close to the edge of the Sea Gate the water crashed against the gate and some of it flowed in like leaks in a pipe, and the gate hummed making glitching like noises the centre was a glowing circle in the centre.
Glimmer, Ben, Adora, Bow, Rook and Mermista walked up to the gap near the edge of the gate.
"I really hope you know what you're doing." Mermista said to Adora.
"Uh… yeah totally." Adora chuckled nervously.
"Come on Adora you can do this," Ben encouraged. "now do your stuff."
Adora smiled at Ben knowing he had confidence in her which in turn boosted her confidence. "I got this." She said.
"FOR THE HONOUR OF GREYSKULL!"
A bright flash of light turns Adora into She-Ra and Ben smiled never getting tired of seeing that. Mermista on the other hand looked rather taken aback as she really didn't expect that.
"Wow. Okay. That's… different." Mermista said in shock.
"Yes I thought the same thing the first time she changed." Rook pointed out.
She-Ra gripped her sword with both her hands and pointed it at the centre of the gate. Closing her eyes she focused all her energy into the sword. The rune stone in the centre of the sword glowed and it spread through the blade and shot out of the end as a beam of light linking it to the gate. The gate begins to glow immediately responding to the connection as the light spread the patterns began realigning to each other. She-Ra grunts whilst trying to maintain the connection.
"Is it working?" Bow startled her causing her to lose focus and break the connection.
"Don't distract me this is a lot harder than it looks." She-Ra said reestablishing the connection. The gate began to repair itself again.
"This could take a while." Glimmer breathed.
"Let us hope it does not take too long, with us exposed this would be the perfect moment for an ambush." Rook said wearily.
However he then noticed a certain sea captain getting ready to cast off something he pointed out to the Bright Moon Princess.
"Ech hang on." She said as she took hold of Rook and they teleported down.
Far below Sea Hawk was tying off the ropes on the sail. Just then Glimmer and Rook appeared before him which he yelped at in surprise.
"Where are you going?" Glimmer asked.
"I'd really appreciate it if you'd stop doing that!" Sea Hawk said rather loudly.
"Are you leaving without us?" Rook questioned.
"Its for the best I'm only getting in your way." Sea Hawk explained in a sigh. "Its time for old Sea Hawk to be where he belongs…Alone."
Rook and Glimmer listened as Sea Hawk did more checking on his ship.
"It wasn't always like this. Where I'm from, I had friends.. a crew. Everyday an adventure more daring than the last." He then chuckled. "The fact that I kept setting my boats on fire was considered charming, but now I can't even get anyone to take me seriously."
"Yeah, I know a little about that." Glimmer said stepping next to him. "I can't get anyone to take me seriously either."
Rook was rather taken aback by that statement how could no one take her seriously.
"Glimmer what are you talking about?" Rook questioned. "He's right you're a princess.." Sea Hawk agreed.
"Try being the daughter of an immortal queen, when your powers are, sparkles." Glimmer said showing some magical sparks to show her point.
Rook put his hand on her shoulder. "I actually do understand that, as hard as it maybe to believe, no one takes Ben or me seriously either."
"What?" Glimmer said.
"It is true sometimes people do not think we know what we are doing even me at times, some even judgemental, but if I have learned anything from Ben is that we do not let others thoughts or doubts weigh us down because they would be underestimating us." Rook explained.
"Your friend is correct Glitter.." "Glimmer" She corrected him. "we may have just met, but I can tell you are a brave and powerful soul. Anyone who'd underestimate you would live to sorely regret it." Sea Hawk agreed.
"And if anyone doubts you that is their loss." Rook said.
"Aw thanks guys." Glimmer thanked. "and you know what Sea Hawk? You still have friends and a crew."
"Reporting for duty Captain." she said giving a salut and Rook followed respectively.
Back at the Gate:
Meanwhile She-Ra continued to concentrate her power through the sword as the gate continues to repair itself and everything seems quiet as Mermista, Ben and Bow watch.
However when Bow looked behind him and saw something alarming.
"Uh guys!" Bow said and Ben turned to see a certain Horde ship sail into view and saw the symbol.
"Oh no." Ben breathed. "Its the Horde!" Bow called down to Glimmer, Rook and Sea Hawk on the Dragons Daughter III
"What?!" Glimmer exclaimed. "I knew this was going too well!" Rook growled.
On the Horde ship Scorpia pulled down on a lever charging an energy cannon, and Catra smirked as a laser blast fired out and hit the gate causing a hole and the damage was affecting She-Ra as an electrical charge shocked her as it received damage she cried in pain.
"Adora!" Ben cried as he helped to support her.
Back on the ship Catra noticed something on the floating rocks near the gate and as she looked through the telescope she could see a certain defective Horde soldier in her princess form and next to her was a certain shape shifter.
Catra smirked as she looked to Scorpia. "Keep us going full-speed. I've got something to do." She said as she ran off.
"They're coming right for the gate!" Bow exclaimed whilst Mermista groaned in annoyance.
"I just need more time!" She-Ra said as she refocused the sword to the gate.
"Okay we'll keep you covered." Ben said taking charge of the situation. "Bow take Rook and get on that ship see if you can take out that cannon!" Ben ordered to which Bow nodded as he made his way down. "Mermista try and cover them if you can I'll cover Adora."
With that Rook looked to Glimmer. "Glimmer I am going to need a teleport and upon your return stand by and be ready." He suggested.
"You got it." Glimmer said as she teleported Rook to the battle field.
Bow jumped down from the rocks above and Mermista leaped into the air and using her magic her legs became a set of mermaid tail fins as she dived into the water.
Ben looked and saw the ship fast approaching and the size of that cannon.
"Okay I've gotta try and keep the gate covered." Ben said and he activated his Omnitrix and looked for one to change into.
"Come on give me someone I can use." Ben slammed the dial down and in a bright green light he transformed into what looked like a large blue coloured lizard with four curved spikes on his back with black open front shirt with a white underbelly and black circles and lines surrounding his eyes. He wears the Omnitrix symbol on his chest.
"Arctiguana? I was kinda hoping for Diamondhead but this'll do!" He leaped down and fired a blast of cold from his mouth giving him an ice slide to move down.
Meanwhile Bow and Rook used their respective weapons grappling arrows and hooks to catapult themselves on board the ship. Bow used his bow to pierce the sail on the ship and Rook turned his Proto tool blade function to slide down onto the ship. They landed and faced Kyle and Lonnie.
"Prepare to be boarded.' Rook said as Bow fired his arrow at Kyle pinning him to the shirt on the back of the ship.
Lonnie readies her stun baton and yells charging at Bow but Rook intercepts her with his Proto tool blade colliding with the discharge of the baton. Lonnie takes a swipe at Rook but misses and he throws a swing at Lonnie but misses as well whilst Bow slides in and fires a goop arrow towards Lonnie who l ducks out of the way only for Rook to then fire a net from his Prototool pinning her down.
The arrow Bow fired lands onto the cannon letting out the goop causing it to short out.
"Oh come on." Scorpia said. Lonnie removes the net from her only for Bow to punch her away as she lands grunting. However before she can attack again a large water wave rocks the ship and Mermista was the one who caused it as she dives into the sea.
Lonnie shouts and charges at Bow and Rook but Bow disarms her with his bow. Kyle then runs in screaming with the baton in hand only for Rook to grab Lonnie and toss her into him and a split of water comes over the side and pushes the two of them into the water.
"Mermista!" called a voice and she turns to see a giant blue Iguana like beast near the gate and she swims over to it.
"Uh who are you supposed to be?" She questioned. "Its me Ben, I don't have time to explain." Arctiguana said. "I need a water wall near the gate a big one think you can do it?
Mermista though not understanding the situation gave an assured smirk. "That I can do." and she motioned her arms to raise the water near the gate and once the wave was high enough it was Arctiguana's turn.
He let loose a blast of ice which hit the water and instantly froze it over turning it into an ice water breaker to stop the ship from coming closer.
"Now thats ice cold ha ha." Arctiguana cracked however Mermista just looked with a dry expression. "Yeah that wasn't funny." she said diving back into the sea.
"I thought it was pretty funny." The alien grumbled.
Bow and Rook looked to see the ice wall that Mermista and Ben had made and were impressed.
"Just how many aliens can he turn into?" Bow asked. "Seventy so far and counting." Rook confirmed.
However suddenly Bow was picked up by his collar and he looked to see Scorpia.
"Oh…" You're big." Bow noticed a little intimidated.
Rook readied his Proto Tool blaster and aimed it at Scorpia. "Release my comrade or I shall fire!" Rook demanded.
"Okay." Scorpia smirked and tossed Bow over the side of the ship. "See ya!"
"NO!" Rook yelled and Bow was hurtling towards one of the ships main engine blades screaming. However before he met his end someone swooped in and rescued him.
"Gotya!" Bow looked up and saw a certain sea captain had saved him. "Sea Hawk!" He cheered.
Rook saw Sea Hawk swing Bow away to the other ship and to safety. However he wasn't out of harms way yet, he quickly avoided an attack from Scorpia's stinger as he rolled to the side and fired his Proto tool blaster at her but her thick armoured skin absorbed the blasts and she attacked back with her pincer claws which Rook flipped over to avoid.
"Wow you're good." Scorpia admitted as Rook formed his weapon into a bo staff and swung it round.
"I believe as the humans say, you have not seen anything yet." Rook challenged as he charged into battle.
Back at the Dragons Daughter III Sea Hawk with Bow in hand swung back to the ship just as Glimmer raised the sails. They arrived on the deck and Mermista came aboard as well from a column of water.
"Bow are you alright?" Glimmer asked in concern from the helm.
"That was…AMAZING!" He shouted in awe.
"Thank you for noticing, Bow it was amazing." Sea Hawk said.
"Wheres Rook?" Glimmer asked. "He's still on the Horde ship." Bow said. "He needs help."
However their joy was short lived as they looked to see the Horde canon was still firing at the ice wall which was breaking apart from the laser blasts though Arctiguana was doing what he could to strengthen the wall.
"Nothing's slowing them down, and I doubt your shapeshifting friend can maintain that wall for long." Sea Hawk noticed. "What do we do?"
Glimmer took a moment to think and then had an idea but it would mean she could get scolded by her mother.
"I think I have a plan, but no-one is to tell my mom about this!" Glimmer said. "Sea Hawk, I need your help. I need you to do what you do best."
"What?' Sea Hawk asked. Glimmer then gave a smirk before saying. "Set, your ship, on fire!"
"YES!" Sea Hawk with sparkles in his eyes.
Back on the ship Rook was still clashing with Scorpia who tried to strike him with her stinger but he deflected it with his Proto tool shield.
However whilst Scorpia was busy with him Lonnie and Kyle pulled down on the leaver which fired the cannon. The laser blast was suddenly frozen by Arctiguana however as he landed on the ground below the Omnitrix chose that moment to time out and revert him back to Ben.
Ben looked and saw the laser blast hit the gate which also hurt She-ra at the sam time as she growled in pain from the electric shocks. However it seemed things were about to get worse.
"Wow you know, the tiara actually gets stupider the more I look at it." Catra laughed. she was now sitting on the sword facing She-Ra.
"Catra" She-Ra growled as she continued to try and charge the gate. "How did you find me?"
Suddenly another cannon blast causes the link to be broken again which hurt She-Ra even more. But this didn't stop the felines taunts.
"Did you think it would be that easy to escape the Horde?" Catra questioned. "I mean, I always knew you were kinda dumb, but, come on." She pokes at She-Ra's tiara which made her grunt slightly.
"Whats your plan, insult me until I decide to rejoin the Horde?" She-Ra growled.
"I don't think Shadow Weaver is planning to give you much of a choice. But yeah, something like that." Catra smirked.
She slashes her claws at She-Ra which clanged off her metal bracer but when Catra leaped off the sword She-ra gets shocked again hurting her even further.
Far below on the land Ben could see Adora was in trouble and she needed help, he quickly activated the Omnitrix and selected an alien from his roster.
"Okay Catra, time for you to have a WaterHazzard!" Ben slammed on the dial.
However instead of Water Hazard he transformed into a roaring muscular alien tiger with orange and white fur with black stripes on his upper arms, body, and legs and bore large sharpened blades one on each of his hands.
He looked at himself and saw he wasn't the alien he wanted.
"Lemme tell ya somethin Omnitrix, this turning me into the wrong aliens thing wasn't funny seven years ago!" Rath yelled. "And it ain't funny now!"
"BEN!" Rath looked to see Rook still on the Horde ship fighting Scorpia. "CATRA!" He grunted being flung across the floor. Rath looked up and saw that he needed to help She-Ra.
"Right!" He then ran to the wall and using his claws scaled the walls of the gate to reach them.
Catra was still taunting She-Ra. "Seems like only yesterday this was the thing you wanted most in the world." Catra said gesturing to the Force Captain badge she was wearing.
"And now you're ugh Come on Adora, hasn't this all gone on long enough?" She said as she groaned disgustingly at Adora's current form.
"I told you before, Catra. I'm not. Going. Back." She-Ra said firmly.
Catra didn't like what she said and responded by leaping around She-Ra scratching at her a few time times and She-Ra tries to protect her self with her bracelets like wonder woman dodging a fleet of bullets. However Catra manages to get through and land a blow on She-Ra's stomach making her groan in pain and forced her to kneel to the ground.
Catra grabs She-ra by the face just as the next laser blast impacted the gate shocking her in the process.
"This is what you left me for?" Catra questioned. "Dress up games and a light show?" She then chuckled. "And your new friends are nowhere to be seen." Catra leans in close to She-Ra's ear.
"When did you get so weak?" "I'LL SHOW YOU WEAK!" Catra turned round to see Rath tackle her away from She-Ra and the two went crashing down to the rocks below.
"Thanks Ben." She-Ra breathed out in relief.
Rath and Catra rolled down to the ground, Catra landed on her feet and faced her opponent who she instantly recognised by the familiar hour glass symbol on his chest.
"You again!" Catra smirked. "Expecting someone else?!" Rath Asked.
"No, but I'll be honest, uh Ben was it?" Catra questioned. "I was hoping you'd be here, cause I've been itching for a rematch."
"Lemme tell ya somethin Catra, Horde soldier, former friend to Adora, and all round pain in the ass,when you mess with Rath's friends!" Rath said in anger. "YOU MESS WITH RATH!"
Rath lunges forward at Catra who smirks as she leaps forward at Rath and clash fists.
Whilst the Gate was losing power Rook was flung across the ship hitting the railing by Scorpia. Rook looked up to see Scorpia panting as was he given the amount of fighting they were doing.
"You really, are good…you… sure you.. didn't train with the Horde?" Scorpia asked panting.
"I can do this all day." Rook panted still holding his Proto tool blade.
However Kyle and Lonnie still manned the cannon and were getting ready for another blast, but before they could.
"Ha ha!" Called a voice then out of nowhere the Dragons Daughter III skirted quickly round and doubles back to face the front of the Horde ship. As the ship charged forward Glimmer and Sea Hawk were at the helm.
Rook could see what they were going to do, he thought they were either crazy or had another plan. However before he could think of anything else Mermista and Bow emerged from the side of the ship on a water column and Scorpia was washed away by water Mermista threw at her.
"Rook come on your gonna have to jump!" Bow exclaimed and Rook jumped from the side of the ship and landed on the water column with him and Mermista who got clear just in time.
"ADVENTURE!" Glimmer and Sea Hawk exclaimed happily as they teleported away and the ship combusted in flames.
"What the heck?!" Lonnie cried as the burning ship was heading towards them with no driver!
The two ships sailed at each other at top speed, the crew on the Horde ship jumped clear just before the two ships collided and destroyed each other. The wreckage of the Horde ship disappears under the ocean waves sinking into the ever darkening seas.
Glimmer and Sea Hawk teleported up to She-Ra followed by Rook, Mermista and Bow in a column of water.
"Thank you for the rescue Mermista." Rook thanked the Princess who just blushed.
"Yeah whatever, don't mention it." Mermista blushed in denial.
Down below Rath and Catra were still clashing. Catra slashes at the alien tiger with her claws only for Rath to round house kick her across the ground. Rath growls and charges forwards slamming his two fists into Catra.
"VILGAXIAN SLAMMER!" He yelled. Rath then grabbed Catra by the tail and swung her into a wall. "POLARIS MACE CRACKER!"
"SERIOUS BUTT KICKING!" Rath kicked Catra to the ground.
"Whoa is Ben always that aggressive when he fights?" Glimmer questioned.
"Only when he's in that specific form." Rook pointed out.
Catra just managed to recover from that and stood with her claws at the ready. "Wow you really are a brute well your not the first brute I've dealt with."
"Oh yeah well Lemme tell ya somethin kitty cat Rath will show you not to mess with…" However at that moment a certain beeping noise emerged from the Omnitrix and turned Rath back to Ben.
He looked to see Catra who had a rather sadistic smile on her face seeing Ben back in human form.
"Uh oh." Ben gasped. "Oh tough break." Catra smirked and instantly slashed at the green-eyed teen just catching the Omnitrix with her claws.
Ben was flung to the ground. He groaned as he got back up, however what he didn't see was the Omnitrix briefly glowing yellow before reverting back to its normal green. He looked up and saw Catra coming towards him claws at the ready.
"So thats how it works huh." Catra smirked. "You can only stay like that for only so long before you turn back to your weak old self. And here I thought you were going to be hard to take down."
Ben could see that Catra was going to claw him to bits he wanted to turn into Blitzwolfer again. However he started to think and remembered what his grandfather had taught him, that might isn't always what Azmuth had taught him that he needs to learn from his battles. He then had an idea something he remembered from a battle with another crazy cat lady he knew.
"Shows what you know Catra." He said as he got back on his feet. "Because I actually learn from my fights, and it turns out I don't need a heavy hitter."
Ben then dialled another alien in the Omnitrix and slammed down the dial and after a blinding green light he was revealed.
He had transformed into some kind of mechanical humanoid wearing a green outfit still exposing his head and shoulders in a bluish colour with four gloved fingers and had nozzles on his suit on each of his forearms and on his shoulders and between his neck and shoulders, and on his back. Above his belt there was a window into his stomach that seems to be swilling in different gases. The Omnitrix symbol was located on his neck.
"Just my heavy gasser!" Gutrot said in a gangster voice.
"Oh now I'm scared." Catra said sarcastically.
"Ye should be come on put one in ere!" Gutrot baited pointing to his heart.
Catra readied her claws and charged straight at the alien however when she got close enough Gutrot curled up and expelled greenish grey gas which Catra was coughing in.
"Oh please you think a smoke bomb is gonna stop me?!" Catra questioned as Gutrot emerged from the gas.
"Just one problem there toots, it ain't smoke." He said.
Then suddenly Catra began to feel the effects of the gas her pupils widened with awe.
"Wow it's so pretty out here I can do anything I can go wild YAY!" She cheered and began bouncing around like a child on too much sugar. High above the group couldn't believe what they were seeing and She-Ra was more than surprise she had never seen Catra look so happy before.
"OOO a swimming pool!" She squeaked with joy. "WEEEEE!" She squealed diving into the waters below and Gutrot could only watch.
"Wow and ere I thought cats hated water." He said just as Glimmer teleported next to him to then teleport him to the others.
"Ben what the heck did you do to her?" Bow asked.
"Oh just gave her some happiness in the form of a mix of nepetalactone." Gutrot said. "Don't ask me how I know but you could say she had a gas of a time eh?"
Everyone looked with blank looks. "Yeah you're still not funny." Mermista said leaving Gutrot pouting if he had a mouth.
However with the obstacles eliminated She-Ra was able to concentrate her power into the sword and she began to glow with a golden aura sending her energy surging into the gate once again. She groaned with the effort but eventually the gate was able to magically repair itself back to full strength.
Catra eventually bursts out of the water still under the effects of the gas smiling away looking at the gate.
"Ooo shiny," She squeaked as Scorpia now on a piece of drift wood pulling her away still looking at the celebrating group above.
Ben and Adora had reverted back to their respective forms and the group cheered in celebration and everyone shared a group hug.
"Yeah that was cool, I'm over it though." Mermista said in all the cheers.
Soon the Best Friend Squad stood on the shore outside the SeaGate and were able to see it in all its restored beauty and glory.
"Huh, what do you know you actually fixed it." Mermista admitted.
"Its beautiful." Adora admired. "Yeah I have to say I have seen some beautiful sights in my life but this as humans would say takes the cake." Rook said.
Ben pulled out his phone and took a photo of the Sea Gate. "Man I wish Kai and Gwen could see this." He said.
"Ben." Rook said getting his attention. "That chemical you doused Catra with, you got that idea from our last encounter with Nancy Chan." He realised.
"Spot on partner." Ben winked.
Mermista then looked to Sea Hawk realising he was now lacking a certain item now. "I guess you're gonna be needing a new ship? She said groaning. "I suppose you can have on of mine." she gestured behind them.
The group turned round to see a brand new ship with glistening sails and white and gold paint. The guard/butler then cracked a bottle on the ship christening it.
Sea Hawk gasped in awe as he admired the Dragons Daughter VI "She's gorgeous." He whimpered happily.
"Don't set it on fire." Mermista immediately said. "No promises." Sea Hawk then said. To which Rook shook his head.
"But, Princess, if I might ask for one more favour?" Sea Hawk kneeled down and took the princess's hand.
"You're always ruining it." Mermista groaned.
"You should consider joining Glimmer's Princess Alliance." He said pulling said princess over and puts his hands on her shoulders. "She is a brave and strong captain. With her at the helm, she is sure to lead the Rebellion to victory."
"Aw, Sea Hawk" Glimmer gushed lightly elbowing him. "You even got my name right."
"Well he's not wrong you know." Ben said getting her attention. "Take it from a guy who has lead a team before I know a leader when I see one, and whether your mom knows it or not you're gonna lead this new alliance to victory."
"Aww Ben." She said giving him a hug rather touched by what he had just said.
"So Princess Mermista, do we have your allegiance?" Rook asked.
"Okay I'm in." She said simply. "Really?" Glimmer said in surprise.
"Yeah, The Horde almost destroyed my home. I wanna help fight them." Mermista said. "Plus your friend over there can turn into like an eight foot tall lady with a sword and I want her on my team." She said gesturing to Adora who could only smile. "Same goes for the guy who can turn into different monsters." To which Ben smiled. "Even if he does have bad jokes." He then pouted in annoyance.
Mermista was then instantly pulled into a hug by Glimmer whilst Ben, Bow and Sea Hawk cheered and even Rook got in on the hug too.
"Wow, okay, calm down." Mermista said. "You won't regret this I promise." Glimmer said.
Before they knew it Bow and Sea Hawk started another shanty, and surprisingly even Ben got in on this one.
"The Best Friends Squad on the seas We subdued the threat ,The threat with ease!" The three sung together on Sea Hawks new ship "We sail the world ,Come near or far, We're Best Friends, We are, we are We're Best Friends, We are, we are!" The whole group came together as one in a big group hug.
"Ha ha." Sea Hawk added. "I think I'm beginning to like this." Ben added smiling.
The Fright Zone:
In the cadet quarters a certain feline Force Captain was not having the best day. She lay curled up in bed with an ice pack on her head groaning, almost as if she was in a hang over not surprising given the gas she was exposed to.
"Ugh my head." She groaned. Outside the quarters Shadow Weaver just looked at her greatly annoyed.
"I'm surrounded by idiots." She said in a face palm.
Authors notes: Well thats it folks Chapter 3 done, and I hope you've picked up on some of the small hints I have left in for future events. I've also given Ben a new look and it seems he's discovered a hidden function to solve his fashion problem you can see an illustrated design in the cover art. And my thanks to TheAnomalyExpert for the suggestion of Gutrot in this story, because to be honest I hadn't considered the use of that particular alien in this story and it seemed pretty funny to have Catra gassed with Catnip. Now originally for the serpent battle I was going to use Ripjaws but I had a rethink and thought AmpFibian would be a better match given his powers and ability underwater.
In the gate fight I decided to have the addition of Arctiguana and of course one of my top favoirtes Rath because I thought he'd give catfight a whole new meaning. Now to the next chapter its one of my own making and lets just say a corroded blast from Bens past is coming to Etheria.
