Ben 10 & She-Ra Heroes of Power Chapter 14: The Frozen Forest, a Ben 10 + She-Ra and the Princesses of Power Crossover fanfic

Authors Notes: I'M BACK JACK! Sorry for the long delay folks everything has been piling on in my work and personal life at the moment so I haven't had much time to update my stories lately. But now I have been able to deliver the next chapter to Heroes of Power. Please enjoy.

:The Frozen Forest:

The scene opens to static from a camera, as the screen clears it reveals the face of Ben sitting in his living Quarters in Bright Moon. In his room were some of his belongings including a framed picture of his ten year old self with Gwen and Grandpa Max, his parents, and an older picture of him, Kevin, Gwen and even a goofy couples picture with Kai.

"Uh two two, is this thing on?" Ben said trying to see if it was recording. He recently decided to borrow Bows pad to record messages to his family. He knew they wouldn't be able to see them but it gave him some comfort.

"Uh hey, Grandpa Max, Mom, Dad, Gwen, Kevin and Kai. I don't know if you'll watch this but well…you know I might as well start." He said explaining his story.

"This past month has been crazy!" Ben started having flashbacks to first arriving on Etheria along with his partner Rook Blonko over a month ago. "Me and Rook crashed on an unknown planet in a shadow dimension and its at war with this evil force called The Horde….."

(Music plays: She-Ra & The Princesses of Power Theme song/Ben 10 song)

The scene flashes to silhouettes of sinister figures with a large red Horde symbol appears below them. One of them was Catra.

"So its a good thing we met some friends too." Ben explained as the scene flashes to him and Rook fighting alongside Adora, Bow and Glimmer in the Whispering Woods.

"Theres Glimmer, she's a princess but not the damsel in distress type, she puts her enemies in distress." Ben described Glimmer. "She's brave a little stubborn and ready to help people that and she has an angelic immortal queen as a mom…"

The scene then shifts to Bow and Rook working on the archers trick arrows. "Then theres Bow, the name says it all, master archer and creative tech master, Rook's taken a shine to him and despite him overreacting sometimes he comes through when we need him." Ben described.

Then came Adora who was swinging her sword as she was training in the gardens. "Theres Adora, believe it or not she was once part of the Horde, but after finding out they were hurting people instead of helping them she quit and now she fights for the rebellion. Oh and sometimes she's an eight foot tall warrior named She-Ra." Adora raises the sword and turns into She-Ra. "Yeah I know cool right, she's brave, passionate and loyal to a fault sure sometimes she thinks people judge her for her past but she's still standing there, that makes her one of the best people I've ever known, and together we've been fighting to free this planet…."

The scene flashes to the Best Friend Squad, Ben and Rook included fighting off Horde soldiers, then switching to the heroes recruiting Perfuma, Mermista, Entrapta and Frosta (sort of).

"We've recently worked to reunite this team called the Princess Alliance. Yeah sounds like a Disney fan club and despite a few bumps in the road, when we were in deep trouble of help when the Horde invaded Bright Moon." Ben described as flashes of Bright Moon and the Battle itself taking place shortly after. "Oh its a magical kingdom by the way so I'm not living in a bush, and Gwen would love it here. They came through for us and now we fight to protect this planet."

(Music ends)

The scene flashes back to Bens room in Bright Moon. He breathed a sigh as he was a little depressed. "I don't know if I'll find a way home, but knowing you guys you'd tell me to not be a doofus and do something. And your right, right now these people need me and I'll come home as soon as we kick the Hordes butt across the galaxy." He said.

Just then Glimmer teleported into the room. "Ben!" She called which startled him so much to cause him to yelp.

"Yow! Glimmer you ever heard of knocking!" Ben exclaimed.

"Sorry but theres another platoon of Horde bots attacking the woods lets go!" Glimmer said as she teleported away.

Ben smiled shaking his head as he looked into the camera. "Sorry guys gotta go, I guess a heroes work is never done." He said turning off the camera.

The Whispering Woods:

The sun was shining over the now frozen landscape of the Whispering Woods. It had been a month since the Battle of Bright Moon when the Horde tampered with the Black Garnet upsetting the balance of the elements. Though the battle was over the woods had been frozen over in ice. It was taking a long time for the woods to recover.

The ice on the trees was melting but in this weakened state. A laser blast fired by a Hordebot pierced the trees. A small squad of Horde Bots were tearing through the trees. The enemy it seemed was taking advantage of the woods weakened state. However that did not mean it was un protected.

As the robots fired their lasers at the trees, one robot noticed a growing plant below its feet. It lifted its right leg and was about to squash it. When suddenly it and the robots around them were ensnared by vines.

"Hey robot face!" Called a voice and it was from Princess Perfuma who had cast the vines. "Watch where you step!"

Perfuma had a new look. She was wearing her usual pink dress but without her turquoise green shall, she now had green bands on her wrists and legs with pink flower sandals that covered her feet.

She swings the vines around and around until finally flinging the robots away. Not too far away the robots were dealing with the rest of the alliance. Bow fired his tech arrows towards the robots. He suddenly noticed the robots coming towards him.

"Incoming!" He cried as he ducked away from the falling bots. One went rolling along the ground like a bowling ball.

In its path was the young princess Frosta who was armed with ice fists on her hands. She used them to swat away a Horde Bot it was fighting. She turned and saw the incoming Horde bot rolling towards her. She gasped but then suddenly a wave of water blasted in her way stoping the robot.

"Got it!" Mermista grunted as she used her powers to move the water to swish the robot to the side. Which left it open to a final blow from Bows trick arrow right in its eye then destroying it.

Mermista and Frosta turned to see Bow had fired the arrow and then looked to see Perfuma arriving on the scene. "Sorry, Frosta." She apologised.

"Wow, flower princesses can't aim." Mermista smirked cracking a joke.

"I… I.. I'm working on it!" Perfuma protested but suddenly from behind her came two more Horde bots from the frozen roots above.

They were ready to fire, when suddenly leaping over them was Rook, who was now clad in white and black Proto Tech armour with a red spot plumbers badge on his chest and belt. On his shoulders he sported a familiar hourglass symbol and curved black lines under it. The Revonnahgander drew his Proto-Tool and split it into duel Proto-blasters and fired on the bots.

The impact forced the robots back before Rook landed on the ground and turned his blasters into swords. Throwing one into the bot on the right directly in its centre eye. Before the second robot could fire Rook rushed in sliced the first robot in half with his sword then used his other one to slice the robot across the eye. Followed by an incoming arrow from Bow which destroyed it.

"Thanks Bow." Rook thanked.

"Anytime man." Bow said.

"Whoa. He's good." Mermista said.

"He sure is." Perfuma said in a rather dreamy look.

However suddenly the moment was dashed when another Horde bot appeared. Before it could fire its weapon suddenly it was levitated into the air by an unknown force. Emerging from the forest was a strange figure. He had a floating metal head with an eyebrow like crest residing on his brow between pointed shoulders on his body with crab like claws for hands. His body was brownish black metal with traces of yellow on his hands, feet and shoulders. A familiar looking hourglass symbol resided on his chest.

It was Ben as one of his aliens Lodestar. The Biosovortian levitated the bot into the air with his power of magnetism.

"Whats the matter tin heads can't handle my, magnetic personality." Lodestar cracked.

"Hahaha!" Frosta laughed "Magnetic personality thats a good one Ben!"

Glad that at least one of the princesses laughed at his one-liners he then moved to toss the bot away. But not before he called out. "Glimmer think fast!" He called and he tossed the bot away then teleporting on top of it was Glimmer.

"I got it!" She said teleporting away with the bot in tow. She reappeared a distance away high in the sky dropping the bot before she teleported away and the Hordebot just crashed into the ground below exploding as it hit the forest floor.

Glimmer reappeared on the battle ground where she looked rather smug. "Thanks for dropping in." She cracked.

"HAHAHAHA! Dropping in, because you dropped him from the sky." Frosta laughed before she hit Glimmer on the arm with her ice hand. "Good one."

Glimmer rubbed her arm at that comment. Lodestar looked rather proud of Glimmers wise crack when Mermista walked up next to him.

"You know she gets this from you right." Mermista said.

"Well I have been known to be an influence on people in a good way." Lodestar said.

However before they could say anything more, they saw another platoon of Horde bots blasting through the trees. Lodestar then tapped the Omnitrix symbol and after a green flash of light he switched to Water Hazard.

"Whats saw we wash these chumps away?" He said in a hinting way and Mermista smirked getting the idea.

"With pleasure." She said and with that the two unleashed a torrent of water upon the incoming robots.

Meanwhile:

In a darkened area of the woods a huge pile of crushed and destroyed Horde bots littered the ground. The sound of grunting and smashing metal could be heard from was She-Ra the Princess of Power fighting some Horde bots. She quickly formed her sword into a shield and rammed it into a bot attacking her from the right. After a glow she then turned her shield into a spear which she used to swat away three Horde bots that surrounded her.

Then with one swift motion her spear shifted into a crystal mace. It seemed She-Ra was learning to change her sword into different weapons just as Ben learns to change forms.

She swings the mace into the robot denting the metal sending it crashing away from her. "Wahoo!" She cheered. But her joy was short lived as the mace then shifted into oddly a cup.

"Huh?" She-Ra said startled but none the less punched an incoming Horde bot with it.

Just then. "Oh, cute. You can turn your sword into stuff." Called a familiar voice in the air. Her voice cackled She-Ra knew very well who's voice that was.

She looked around the battle ground, completely unaware she was being watched by a shadow in the frozen trees. Suddenly leaping forwards and catching the Princess of Power off guard was Catra slashing at her knocking her off balance.

She-Ra was quick to get up off the ground as the feline Force Captain attacked slashing her claws which She-Ra blocked with her cup. Catra was quick to avoid her attacks and grab her opponents hand.

"Hey Adora." She teased before pulling her hand back causing She-Ra to grunt in pain as Catra kicked her away. She-Ra tried forming her mug into a better weapon, sadly all she got was a flute of some kind.

"Did you mean to do that?" Catra questioned teasingly. "If you did, it's a terrible weapon."

"Is not!" She-Ra denied as she swung her weapon at the Force Captain who was quick to dodge her attacks. She sadly wasn't quick enough to avoid She-Ra tackling her to the ground.

Elsewhere:

Meanwhile back with the rest of the Princess Alliance another Horde Bot arrived on the battle field firing its laser at the forest. Glimmer stood ready for battle and in her right hand her staff materialised a weapon that once belonged to her father King Micah.

"How'd you do that?" Said a voice causing Glimmer to yelp in surprise and she looked to see Frosta standing behind her. "Can you teleport anything you want?" Frosta asked eagerly. "Like a cannon? I can make ice cannonballs."

"What? No. Just the staff. It was my dad's- Ugh." Glimmer groaned trying to answer the energetic princesses questions. "Actually, I was sort of in the middle of something here. Do you mind?" She dismissed.

Glimmer's staff lit with energy ready to fire however Frosta swiftly raised her arms and from below the Horde bot emerged an ice spike piercing it and destroying the robot completely.

"It's more effective if you hit their core processing unit." Frosta pointed out beating Glimmer to the punch.

"Ugh. I know. I was about to…" "Hey. There's another one. Let's get it." Frosta interrupted Glimmer leaving her groaning in frustration as the ice princess ran off.

More drones appeared from the trees only to be met by fire blasts. Which were caused by Swampfire. He then tried a different tactic looking to a certain flower princess.

"Perfuma lets wrap this up!" Swampfire said.

"You got it!" She said and together she and Swampfire released vines from the ground tying up the robots and crushing them like soda cans.

"Who knew having a green thumb could be so effective." Swampfire said.

"Agreed, but next time Ben maybe choose a form thats less um odorous." Perfuma said holding her nose given Swampfire's swamp musk.

Swampfire just sniffed his arm pit in response. "Its not that bad right?"

Meanwhile:

Back with She-Ra she had managed to pin Catra to the ground with a glare. "What are you waiting for? You gonna play me a song on that thing?" she scoffed.

She-Ra raised her weapon and was ready to deliver the final blow. However she stops just as the flute was an inch from the felines face. She hesitated.

"I knew you couldn't do it." Catra's voice sounded more computerised as she suddenly dissapeared as did the forests around actual fact she was inside the Crystal Castle doing a training exercise. She-Ra sighed as she reverted back to Adora.

"Did you have to make her so mean?" Adora asked as her guardian Light Hope appeared next to her.

"The simulation is designed for total accuracy." Light Hope explained. "Is the one you call Catra not mean?"

"No, she is." Adora said down hearted. So Light Hope tried to comfort her.

"There, there." She tried patting her head, however since she's an AI hologram her hand passed right through Adora's head.

The Whispering Woods:

Meanwhile back in the woods, Ben, Rook and the Princess Alliance had just destroyed the last Horde bot. Perfuma tried using her powers to help the vegetation grow back again.

"The poor woods." She said sadly using her powers to help a little plant regrow. "They'll never be able to regrow if the bots keep attacking."

"Indeed." Rook agreed in consoling her. "This is the fourth attack in a month, the more drones we destroy more come in greater numbers."

"Yeah and the Hordes been blowing holes in the trees on a daily basis since the battle at Bright Moon." Swampfire agreed. "They're getting more relentless every day."

"The enemy never gives up in war Ben." Rook reminded to which Swampfire had to agree to he'd met war like alien races and super villains that never give up when they set their mind on a goal.

While they talked Bow was busy examining the remains of one of the Horde bots on the battle field. Rook then came over to see what he was doing. Before he could say anything Frosta leaped in and smashed the robot the archer was inspecting with her ice fist.

"Hey!" Bow exclaimed. "I was looking at that!"

"Your welcome." Frosta said rather smugly.

Bow just looked with an annoyed expression everyday they had to fight the robots again and again until the woods regrow.

"Bow, have you learned anything?" Rook asked.

"No considering every robot I look at either Ben or Frosta just smash it!" Bow said rather frustrated. Rook was most taken aback. "S..sorry man I just.."

"I understand your frustration my friend, we could learn strategic weaknesses from these robots, instead of simply destroying them." Rook said to the archer.

"Yeah easier said than done." Bow agreed as they both looked at the destroyed robot.

Crystal Castle:

"I've been training for a month and I haven't gotten any better." Adora complained to Light Hope. It had been a month since she started training with her to better learn her powers as She-Ra. But instead of getting better she seems to be getting worse.

"This performance was, in fact, worse." Light Hope agreed much to Adoras dismay. "Please disregard. My human inspiration protocol is still in the beta stage." Adora looked up to her not very motivated. So the AI tried something else.

"Should I smile more?" Light Hope said as she cracked a smile.

"No, no. It's not you." Adora sighed admittedly. "I wanna be the best She-Ra, I wanna protect the Catra, she's just in my head." She voiced out her frustrations.

Light Hope was confused."She has access to your mainframe?"

"She isn't actually in my head." Adora explained rather loudly. "When you grow up with someone, they know how to push your buttons."

Light Hope looked with a rather consoling expression. "I can relate. I also have buttons."

Adora did have a slight smile at that. "You have come a long way, but there is still much to do." Light Hope told her. "You must learn to master your emotions, or you are destined to repeat the mistakes of the last She-Ra."

"No pressure huh?" Adora said.

"There is quite a bit of pressure." Light Hope said thinking her protege didn't get the idea. "Was that not clear?"

"Yeah, no, I got it. So much pressure." Adora said as she did get the situation and what was riding on this.

"Very well. You must learn by doing." Light Hope said as she disappeared.

Suddenly large grey pillars rose up taking Adora by surprise. Before she knew it she was in another combat simulation. This time facing a giant spider monster, one she had fought previously in the real world. Adora grunted as she drew her sword and tried to change it into another weapon. Sadly however all she got was a large fork. She sighed in disappointment as she charged at the beast.

The Fright Zone:

Meanwhile within the darkened depths of the Fright Zone, Kyle Rogelio and Lonnie were in the Horde training room with training gear on. A Horde bot blasted at them starting Kyle as the humanoid lizard leaped forwards to fight his opponent. From their perspective and visors the drones were actually evil versions of the princesses.

Lonnie dodged two laser blasts from the drones while Kyle just ran away in fright. Lonnie runs forwards into battle leaps into the air as Rogelio gives her a boost leg up. She drew her staff and swatted the two robot drones.

All of a sudden came a massive rumble in the ground. The three cadets looked up and saw before them was a massive spider drone. From their visors it was a hologram of a very scary version of She-Ra. Kyle was spooked. Suddenly another rumble shook the ground. The cadets turned round to see another tall drone and the hologram on the visors showed a scary version of Rath.

The She-Ra drone fired its laser blast forcing Lonnie and Rogelio to duck out of the way only to be intercepted by the Rath drone with its own laser blast forcing them back. Kyles staff was blasted out of his hands by the drones and fell to the robots kept firing on him and he dodged one right between his legs and ducked in fear. Getting hit with laser blast after laser blast.

Whilst Rogelio and Lonnie took cover behind a destroyed Horde Drone. They looked at Kyle with dry expressions, not surprising since he's always panicked rather than acted.

Soon the robots attacks subsided. Kyle turned to the bots and saw their holograms fade. The robots powered down and the lights in the combat room were lit to reveal Catra sitting in the rafters above.

"Who can tell me what Kyle did wrong?" She asked.

"Where do you start?" Lonnie asked rhetorically as Kyle came over to her and their lizard friend.

Catra stood up and explained to the cadets. "She-Ra is too strong to defeat with force she's slow and easily manipulated." She said snapping her fingers and the robots reactivated restarting the simulation and the holograms.

"Not again!" Kyle exclaimed ducking behind the Horde bot.

Lonnie looks at the simulation and gasps when she sees Catra sneak up from the shadows then slashes her claws at the drones left leg destroying it. The drone looks for Catra. Unaware she's on its back, with one swift motion the feline swings down to the front of the drone and punches through its red eye ripping out its core. The hologram of scary She-Ra disappeared from the view of the cadets.

Catras attention was then drawn to the other drone which was coming towards her. "And as for Tennyson, he's unpredictable because he uses a different form for each fight." She explained. "But he does have one weak spot." She smirked.

The Rath drone attacked firing lasers at its opponent. However Catra and her cat like reflexes dodge each shot. To the cadets it seemed like she was not attacking him at all but just dodging the she dodged another laser blast. It happened the robots red eye beeped several times, and the hologram of Rath reverted to a rather weak looking hologram of Ben. In that moment Catra struck she leaped forwards and delivered a slash across the robots front sending it tumbling to the ground.

"Tire him out and wait till he's at his most venerable." Catra explained. She turns to Lonnie, Kyle and Rogellio dropping the robot piece in front of their startled faces. "Fix this. Then go again."

Catra left the training hall and as she walked down the hallway she saw acouple of Horde soldiers who stood to attention seeing her approach. Since dethroning Shadow Weaver and earning her place as second in command to Hordak, she was getting more respect around the Fright Zone. The dice it seemed had rolled in her favour having put her teacher in her place.

She smirked rather proudly as she made her way to Entrapta's holding cell. Upon entering the room however it started to look more like a lab than a holding cell. It had a couch and loads of boxes inside the room too. Emily (the robot) was hanging a family portrait of Entrapta's robots on the wall while Scorpia was organising a few things.

Catra walked into the room confused. "What is all this junk?" She asked.

Entrapta who had just noticed Catra's arrival then explained. "Isn't it wonderful? The stuff from my castle arrived." She held up a portrait of a familiar looking cute cat in her hair hands.

Catra suddenly yelped as she looked down at her foot and saw one of the tech princesses robot pets was under it barking like a puppy.

"Yeah. Wonderful. What's the report from the woods?" Catra then asked wanting to know the bots progress.

"Oh! I just received a transmission from one of my bots." Entrapta said as she typed onto the control console under the screens then sat down with Scorpia on the couch with a tray of tiny cupcakes.

The screens showed the robots attack on the woods. Only to be met by the princesses. Perfuma used her vines to grab the Horde bot next to her then slammed it into the ground.

"Oh boy." Scorpia said giving a running comentry seeing the robot get destroyed. "Ouch." She said as Entrapta yelped.

"Oh, wow, it just fell apart with one hit there, didn't it." Entrapta observed as the robots camera showed Mermista drowning the robot in a slash of water. "I could definitely make some improvements."

The footage then showed Rook forming his Proto Tool into a rocket launcher and blasting the robot right in the camera."OOOO!" Scorpia cringed. Then there was more to come.

Catra looked at the monitor and saw footage of Ben as Swampfire using his strength to smash the robots then tapping the Omnitrix switching to Razor Kat who used his agility to leap over the bots and ripped something out of its back and tossed it into another which crashed to the ground. He then moved to leap onto the robot who was observing him to get a close up of his face. Causing Entrapta and Scorpia to yelp in surprise.

"AHHAH!" They screamed.

"Hey Catra." Razor Kat teased as he then thrusted his clawed fist into the robot destroying the camera.

The feline Force Captain just growled, seeing that the Omnitrix bearer was using her appearance and skills to get at her. She clenched her fist in frustration.

"Oh-ho, yeah! Game over." Scorpia said dropping the tray but then noticed the look on Catra's face. "Oh yeah I forgot he's using your face now."

Catra just took a breath and breathed out her frustration. "It doesn't matter. We'll just send more bots, and more after that." She said. " They'll be so busy defending their precious trees, we'll conquer the planet before they know what's happened." She smiled. "Still we do need to even the odds against Tennyson, and since we can't take that watch of his."

Just then Entrapta used her hair to snag something out of a moving box. Taking the feline Force Captain by surprise."I have an even better idea." She breathed excitedly looking at a First Ones crystal that she pulled out of the box.

The Beacon:

Back at the Beacon/Crystal Castle, the entrance way in the floor opened and Adora tired and exhausted from her training exited the structure. Upon her exit she was greeted by a friendly face named Swift Wind who neighed and rubbed his face against hers greeting her. Adora let out a laugh as she greeted her steed.

She mounted the horse and the two flew off into the sky over the Frozen Woods.

Bright Moon:

Soon they arrived back at the kingdom of Bright Moon, the castle had some scaffolding attached as it was still undergoing repairs caused by the battle. Swift Wind approached the castle bridge and Adora looked to see a certain Omnitrix bearer waiting for them.

They landed and Adora dismounted her horse, and Ben went to greet them. "Hey honey how was school today." He said.

Adora just shook her head at that. "You know your welcomes are getting more and more corny you know."

"Hey what can I say, from the looks of it you need a corny one liner right now." He said then stretching and yawning from exhaustion.

"You too huh?" She asked.

"Yeah." He said yawning and they made their way inside and soon met up with Glimmer, Bow and Rook.

"You should've seen it. With the Moonstone super-charged, I've been so much more powerful." Glimmer explained excitedly. "I took out, like, at least five bots."

"Uh don't know what battle you were at Glimmer, cause I took out at least twelve." Ben then gloated. "Not that I keep count of those things."

"Yeah sure." Glimmer scoffed, then she remembered something. "Hey why didn't you try using one of your new Omni Kix forms?"

"Probably cause I didn't need super armour to beat a bunch of tin bowling balls." Ben said.

Since obtaining a certain key from Azmuth's pod Ben had gained the ability of the Omni Kix armour allowing him to armour up his aliens. It wasn't Master Control but the results were the same.

"Need I remind everyone that this is no time for keeping score of who destroyed how many robots." Rook pointed out. "No matter how many we destroy the Horde will just send more.

"Just like the day before, and the day before that." Bow groaned in agreement.

"So? What are we supposed to do? Not fight? We have to protect the woods." Glimmer reminded. "The Horde is going to keep taking ground until it regrows."

"I know, but how long can we keep this up?" Bow wondered knowing that it would only be a matter of time until the Horde come in greater numbers to finish the job the Black Garnet started.

"Bow look I know it's not ideal, I mean even with Perfuma's powers it's taking a while to heal the forest." Ben tried. "Besides the Horde might be getting stronger but so are we, by the way how's the new armour holding up partner?"

"It is sufficient, and I must admit, it is more durable than my last Proto Tech armour." Rook said looking over his new suit.

The Omni Kix key wasn't the only thing in the pod that came from Earth. There was also some care packages inside micro tech capsules including food and belongings from home and a more advanced version of Proto Tech armour for Rook.

"But Bow is right, the robots will keep pressing their attacks until the woods falls not giving it chance to regrow." Rook then said.

"Did you learn anything from Light Hope?" Bow then asked Adora.

"Uh…" Adora said before raising her sword. "Getting way better at transforming my sword. Look." She tried transforming her sword into another weapon, but instead it became a pitcher.

Ben and Rook looked at the transformed sword in confusion. "Uh I do not think that is right?" The Revonnahgander pointed out.

"A pitcher." Bow chuckled nervously. "That's so useful."

"Sure. We can have a picnic once the woods regrow." Glimmer said dryly.

Adora just groaned in frustration as she transformed the Pitcher back into the Sword of Protection. "Hey for what its worth Adora I know how you feel, I'm still getting used to the Omnitrix's new look." Ben said pointing to the Omnitrix.

"But I thought you said you were used to the dial controls?" Bow asked.

"Well yeah I am." Ben explained. "But its also got loads of new features look." Ben pressed down and twisted the dial releasing the clamps. The selection dial appeared and instead of a circle it was now a holographic version of the Omnitrix symbol with full bodied holograms. So far it had Four Arms selected.

"Whoa talk about interactive." Bow said.

"Yeah not only do I get the Omni Kix but there something else too." Ben twisted on the dial cycling through the aliens and after passing Razor Kat some of them looked unfamiliar.

One was rather muscular with rock like armour and spikes from his shoulders. "Whoa he looks big." Glimmer said surprised.

Ben turned to the next alien who looked rather bulky and round. "Hm he looks like a heavy hitter." Adora said then the dial showed what looked like a humanoid scorpion.

"That one looks a little familiar?" Bow said wondering where he'd seen that one before.

The dial then retracted back in place deactivating the selection dial. "I mean besides Razor Kat I barely recognise half the aliens in this thing."

"You should turn into Diamondhead in the next fight." Said a voice that startled Glimmer and it was Frosta.

"Or maybe Rath! No Atomix he's way awesome!" The ice princess said excitedly. "Hey maybe Adora can turn her sword into a dagger! Hey Glimmer did you see me take out hat bot with ice daggers?" She then asked Glimmer.

"Where did you come from?" Glimmer asked.

"I've been here the whole time." Frosta answered Glimmer looked to her friends who just shrugged not even knowing she was there.

"So Frosta how's fighting with the princesses going?" Ben asked.

"Oh its super awesome!" Frosta said energetically. Ben wouldn't admit it but the young princess kind of reminded him of himself when he was her age.

Just then Glimmer butted in. "Well, we have to go. We have an important meeting." She said.

"The war council? I'm heading there, too. Better hurry, you're gonna be late." Frosta said winking as she ran to the council left an annoyed Glimmer twitching her eye. Ben recognised that look all too well indeed.

"Do we have a new addition to the Best Friends Squad?" Said a rather cheerful Bow.

"Shut up, ugh." Glimmer growled as she walked in the direction of the council room. Ben hurried to catch up to her.

"Hey come on Glimmer, Frosta's excited to be part of the team. Besides she was only trying to be friendly." He said.

"Yeah well its starting to get annoying." Glimmer explained. Ben could see that it was taking Glimmer some getting used to leading the new alliance and coping with some of the princesses. He had wondered if he should offer come counsel given his own past experience as a leader.

Council Room:

Meanwhile in the Bright Moon council chamber the rest of the alliance was gathered. Queen Angella sat in her chair with her sister in law Castespella on her left with Spinnerella, Swift Wind and Nettossa, while on her right sat her general and Mermista.

Perfuma was about to take her seat when she noticed something. "Sorry, heh, I think that's my chair." She said to Mermista.

"Yeah, don't you find it helpful to shift perspectives sometimes?" The mermaid princess asked.

This resulted in Perfuma's eye twitching in annoyance but chose to let it go and took her seat next to her. Just then Glimmer and the others entered the room, and she noticed her aunt was in the room.

"Aunt Casta! You made it." She said happily.

"I wouldn't miss it, dearest." Casta said rather modest. "The first war room of the new alliance. How exciting."

"Yes. It's a shame you couldn't be at the battle where the alliance was formed." Angella pointed out.

"I knew you'd bring that up again." Casta said in dismay. she then turned her attention to Ben and Rook. "Oh Benjamin, Rook did you like the sweaters I sent you?"

"Ah yes Castaspella, your gift was most appreciated, it reminded me of the vests we wear on Revonnah during the winter." Rook said gratefully.

"Yeah its great, when its ninety-eight degrees." Ben said smiling despite when he first tried it the sweater did itch a little but not wanting to insult Casta he decided to deal with it.

"Ahem yes." Angella said getting everyones attention. "We have a great deal to . Please take your seats."

With that Glimmer, Bow, Ben, Rook and Adora took their seats. Ben was next to Bow who was next to Adora, Glimmer was next to her and in the seat next to her was Frosta who had a cheerful look on her face. Rook sat between Bow and Perfuma, who upon seeing the Revonnagander did blush a little, whilst Rook only smiled in her direction.

"Swift Wind, what news do you bring from your scouting in the west?" Angella said looking to the winged steed who stood between Spinnerella and Nettossa.

"The Horde has gained more territory in the west." Swift Wind reported as the holo map appeared"But with the help of Netossa and Spinnerella, our forces have managed to re-capture Thaymor. Again."

Spinnerella and Nettossa gave each other a fist bump in celebration. "Way to go team Spintossa." Ben congratulated.

"You seriously gotta come up with a better name than that Ben?" Nettossa said to him.

"Oh darling please he's giving us a compliment." Spinnerella said to her beloved. "Besides I kind of like it."

Swift Wind then changed the subject looking round the room. "Also, why don't I get a chair? If everyone else has a chair, I want a chair."

Angella just gave a rather bewildered look given the fact that horses couldn't sit in chairs. Ben meanwhile fantasised about how that would work.

"A chair. Of course, I will see to it." She simply said before turning to her daughter. "Commander Glimmer, how goes the situation in the Whispering Woods?"

Glimmer rose from her seat and gave her report. "I'm happy to report that we are handling bots, and protecting the woods while it regrows. Which it is doing. Very. Slowly."

"Yeah the robots aren't making the healing process easy its like a hydra you cut off one head two more take its place." Ben agreed.

"Maybe it's time we stop fighting and start healing." Perfuma then suggested. "My powers aren't strong enough to regrow the entire woods on my own even with the help of Bens plant based forms, but when we princesses worked together in harmony during the battle of Bright Moon, our powers grew." The other princesses listened to what the flower princess had to say. "We should try to recapture that energy. Maybe we should hold hands and think healing thoughts."

Perfuma took both Rook and Mermista's hands and started humming in meditation much to the mermaid princesses annoyance.

"Uh Perfuma, whilst you raise a valid point, the issue at hand is the Hordes continued attacks." Rook then pointed out. "Despite our efforts the robots continue to come in greater numbers everyday."

"Rook is right your majesty." Bow then said standing up. "We can't go on like this. We're defeating the bots, but more keep coming. While we're using our resources to hold our borders, the Horde hasn't had to deploy a single soldier."

"Indeed, and all the while the Horde gain more ground elsewhere. Limiting our abilities to provide aid to our allies." Rook agreed.

"Typical Catra!" Adora scowled at her friend now turned enemies tactics.

"Yeah sending robots to do a soldiers dirty work, thats classic supervillain, even by Attea's standards." Ben agreed realising a certain Incursian general he knew would do the same thing.

"Rook and I only been able to recover pieces, seeing as we have never not completely demolished one of these things." Bow hinted looking at Ben, Glimmer, Adora and Frosta.

"Bow is correct in order to deal with this threat we must learn more of the robots." Rook then said. "Any strategic weaknesses we can exploit."

"Which is why if we can capture a whole bot,we might be able to program a kill switch." Bow then continued. " We could wipe them all out without draining our forces."

"So you want us to shut one of these bots down without completely destroying it." Ben surmised.

"That is the idea Ben." Bow said.

"An excellent idea, Bow." Angella agreed. "This could turn the tide for us." Bow smiled with Rook placing a supporting hand on his comrades shoulder. Angella then stood up and addressed Glimmer. "Glimmer, you will take your patrol out, and capture a bot for Bow and Rook to study and carry out his plan."

Glimmer stood up proudly looking at Bow proudly. She turned to leave to be met by Frosta's eager smile. Startling her.

"Commander, I have some ideas to improve our efficiency." Frosta suggested. "First, we should all have code names. I'd like to be Frostbite. And you could be Sparklebomb. Second…"

"Oh, uh, Frosta." Glimmer interrupted the ice princess. "I need you to… stay back and help Spinnerella and Netossa guard the castle! Great. Thanks!" She teleported away before Frosta could answer leaving her frustrated. Ben could see that trouble was brewing from this.

The Fright Zone:

In the dark sanctuary of Hordak's inner sanctum, Catra and Scorpia stood before their lord and a map of Etheria and their growing efforts to conquer the planet.

"With the woods frozen and the princesses and Tennyson are distracted by the bots, we've been able to gain significant new ground." Catra explained.

"You have not disappointed me, Force Captain." Hordak said. "Clearly, I was wise to promote you." Catra smiled at her masters praise, however it wasn't to last. She looked past his throne and saw Entrapta was bouncing around looking for parts and tools.

"I'm just gonna borrow this." She said. "Oh, what is that?"

Catra grimaced at this whilst Hordak looked with an unamused look on his face. "Uh, yes. We've kept the princesses distracted, but we could be doing more." She then explained. "We should be working to take them out, once and for all. Namely their big guns She-ra and Ben Tennyson, which is why we have been working on a way to deal with that problem." She then turned to the tech princess bouncing around.

"Isn't that right, Entrapta? Entrapta!" She called finally getting her attention.

"Oh right." Entrapta answered lifting her face mask and clapping her hair hands together.

Then from the right of the room came a rather large looking robot with spiked spider legs, a half curved body and an orb head with a lone pink eye in the centre. It walked by Hordak who looked with a squint at the tech princesses latest creation.

"May I introduce Emily's Kid Sister." Entrapta gestured to her robot. "EKS for short. With First Ones tech at its core, this little beauty has enough power to rival a princess. Even the power of Bens alien forms!" She said then taking a shock stick and blasting one of its legs.

Scorpia was surprised and Catra merely kept a mild expression. Then suddenly the robots leg simply repaired itself from the damage it walked over to it to examine the robot closer.

"Most mpressive indeed. And you can make more of these?" Hordak asked impressively.

"Yes! I mean, no. I mean, I could." Entrapta tried to explain. "But I only had enough First Ones tech to make four."

"But I know where we can get more." Catra then said to her master and smirked knowing where they needed to go next.

Whispering Woods:

The Proto Truck flew over the woods and landed at the edge of the forest itself. Perfuma, Mermista Bow, Adora, Ben, Glimmer, and Rook disembarked from the vehicle whilst Swift Wind landed beside them.

They stood in line as Glimmer devised a plan. "Okay. We'll split up to cover the most ground. Adora, Bow, Ben, Rook and I will go east." She said. "Mermista and Perfuma, you go west. Swift Wind, cover the sky and tell us when there's a bot nearby."

Swift Wind neighed and nodded in response. Rook then stepped forwards and pulled out a small box. "We need to maintain constant contact with each other, so take one of these." He opened the box to reveal small white devices.

"Uh what are those?" Mermista asked.

"They are com links, small communication devices we can use to talk to one another." Rook explained as he held on up.

"Yeah you just place it in your ear then tap on it to speak into it." Ben added. With that the other princesses and Bow took a com link each and put it in their ear.

Ben then tapped his com link to test it. "Testing testing 1,2,3 can you guys hear me?"

"If you mean I can hear your voice in my ear then yeah." Mermista said.

"How clever." Perfuma said.

"And, remember, we want an intact bot." Bow reminded.

"What if it's just, like, a little waterlogged?" Mermista asked.

"And also covered in ferns that secrete corrosive poison?" Perfuma then asked.

"Or what if it's totally smashed by my ice hammer?" Frosta then appeared from behind the flower princess and formed an Ice hammer on her wrist.

"Huh Frosta?!" Ben said in surprise. "Where'd you come from?"

"What!" Glimmer exclaimed. "You're supposed to be defending the castle with Netossa and Spinnerella."

"I know I ignored orders, but, no offence, those orders were wrong." Frosta said. "You need me here."

"You can't just run off whenever you want." Glimmer said scolding her. While Bow, Adora, Ben and Rook looked at each other with concern. Rook was startled how Frosta was able to stow-aboard the Proto Truck without his knowledge.

"But I did. And I'm here now. And I'm not going back." Frosta said with a smile.

Glimmer was squinting and about to lose her cool, so Ben decided to defuse the situation. "Hey look we need all the help we can get in tracking down these bots and I guess some of Frosta's ice power would help restrain the bots." He said.

The Bright Moon princess sighed in frustration before she conceded. "Fine. You can be in Mermista and Perfuma's patrol."

"I'm going with you." Frosta protested before Glimmer got right up in her face.

"Don't push your luck!" She said between her teeth so Ben pulled her away before anything else happened.

The group were soon deep in the Whispering Woods, and were soon greeted with the sound of clanking metal. Rook gave several hand signals telling the group to conceal themselves in the trees. So they climbed to the tree. However when they looked down and saw their prey Bow was surprised.

"Uh guys?" He said and they looked to see a completely different robot scanning the area around the was E.K.S. A scanning light came from its eye, almost as if it was looking for something. The group mainly Bow, Ben and Rook noticed how much more advanced this robot was compared to the others.

"Is it me or does that robot look different than the others?" Ben guessed.

"It is, That thing is way more advanced than usual." Bow observed.

"Guess the Horde's been busy, rather industrious little monkeys aren't they." Ben said.

"I do not see how they would have simian primates from Earth build them machines?" Rook questioned which resulted in Ben giving him a questionable look.

"Ah another Earth expression, my mistake." He soon understood.

"Where is it going? Why isn't it attacking the woods?" Glimmer wondered.

Rook closely examined the robots movements. "It appears to be doing reconnaissance, we should tread with caution we do not know if…"

Before Rook could finish his sentence Adora jumped from the tree impulsively and landed on the robots top and jammed her sword into it. The robot shook before it powered looked with a grimace look whilst Rook just face palmed himself. Ben and Glimmer just looked with grim faces while Swift Wind just maintained his natural expression.

Adora then tapped the robots head with the tip of her sword. There was no response, so she turned to her friends in the tree with a smirk.

"It's still just a Horde bot." She said but suddenly Ben noticed something about the bot. "We know how to handle…"

"Adora look out!" He cried but it was too late the robot restarted turning its eye towards her and tilted its body knocking her off it.

Ben and the others jump down to help as she gets up onto her knees. They look up and see the robot looming over them with deadly intent. "It played dead! This things smart!" Ben realised.

"Okay." Adora coughed. "Thats new."

Glimmer teleported away, then reappeared over the robot. She swung her staff ready to strike the bot in the head only for the bot to turn its head and grab her in mid air blocking its attack. It then proceeded to toss the princess away she screamed as she hit the ground.

Rook then formed his Proto blaster and ran towards the robot firing lasers at it. The robot thrusted its claw towards him but he leaped into the air. Before Rook could do a roll mid air the robot swatted him into a nearby tree.

Rook groaned as he stood up shaking off the impact. "Its learning!" Bow realised.

"Indeed it appears to be a learning robot the more we fight the more knowledge it gains on how to defeat us!" Rook agreed.

Ben helped Adora to her feet then looked to her. "Okay Adora, whats say we teach this thing some tricks of our own."

"You read my mind." Adora agreed.

Ben activated the Omnitrix but before he selected and alien. "Remember we need to capture it intact! So Ben no heavy hitters!" Bow called.

"I would recommend the use of Upgrade to neutralise it!" Rook agreed.

"Relax we got this shut it down, do it quickly, don't destroy it." Ben said as he dialled in Upgrade.

"And hopefully don't die trying." Adora agreed as she raised the sword.

"FOR THE HONOUR OF GREYSKULL!" She cried and Ben slammed down on the Omnitrix as the sword shone brightly.

Adora began transforming she grew taller and soon bore her appearance as the princess of power. Transforming next to her in a void of green and white molecules was Ben, however it wasn't Upgrade he was turning into. His limbs started growing what looked like yellow, blue and red lego bricks and soon he was fully transformed into a gorilla like being with segmented skin comprised of blue, red and yellow bricks, with black lines and studs on his arms and body. He had green eyes and the Omnitrix symbol lay on his chest. He and She-Ra then struck a pose as they were fully transformed.

The alien looked at himself and was surprise. "Bloxx?!" He said in surprise. "Ugh I guess somethings never change."

Regardless he and She-Ra charged into battle. The robot fired its eye laser towards them. She-Ra used her sword to deflect the laser blasts while Bloxx extended his arms out and grabbed the robots legs. He swings his legs round and slams them into the robot. Jumping away he forms his hands into a pair of Bloxx lobbers and fired some blocks at the robot which exploded around its head.

"Adora hit him now!" He exclaimed.

She-Ra charges towards the bot and slashes with continuous strikes knocking it onto its bottom. With one strike the robot was sent skidding across the ground. Bloxx quickly moved in and shifted his body into a clamp to hold the robot down. She-Ra leaps on the robots body ready to deal the final blow.

All of a sudden the robot broke free from the cracking restraints of Bloxx catapulting him and She-Ra across the ground as the bot flipped into its head. It rose from the ground with its head turning towards She-Ra. She looks and see the robot approaching her, it tries to strike her with its clawed legs. She-Ra tries to crawl away desperately, but it was futile the robot was over her head ready to crush her. However the blow never came. She-ra looked up and saw Bloxx was trying effortlessly to hold the robot up.

"Ben!" She-ra cried.

"Go go!" He growled and She-Ra crawled away just as the robot made a rather loud blaring sound. It was an alarm.

Everyone covered their ears at the deafening sound. Eventually Bloxx had heard enough and slammed his chin into the Omnitrix blinding him in a flash of light. All of a sudden the robot was blasted into the air with a jolt of energy caused by Feedback who stood in place of Bloxx.

She-Ra then leaped into the air and slashed the bot sending it higher into the air. Breaking through the canopy of the trees flipping over and slamming into the trees. She-Ra landed next to the Conductoid who bumped fists in victory. Just then the robot slammed into the ground in a cloud of smoke. The two turned round and saw the robot was damaged.

They looked back to Bow who was shaking his head in his hands whining. Rook just had his faced planted in his hand.

"We said we need it undamaged." Rook reminded rather annoyed. While Glimmer and Swift Wind stood with raised eyebrows.

"Uh heh sorry Bow guess I didn't know how much strength I put into that blast?" Feedback said nervously.

She-Ra however just brushed this off. "What? We'll capture another bot. That one had it coming."

However when they looked at their friends they could see that they looked rather surprised. Not to mention had a look of nervous terror in their eyes. They didn't even take not of the strange sound in the air.

She-Ra thought they were giving her a certain look. "Yeesh. I'm sorry we destroyed it."

Bow just pointed to look behind them and Feedback turned round and saw what he was nervous about. "Uh Adora." He said.

She-Ra turned round and saw that the robot had just picked up its right leg and much to the surprise of everyone. Its leg simply retouched itself back onto the body with no indication of damage what so ever.

"They can repair themselves!" Feedback exclaimed.

"It would seem that way, they can repair themselves from any damage we inflict upon them." Rook realised. "This is more advanced than anything the Horde could create."

"Ooh, that's unnatural. Even for a robot." Swift Wind said.

"Well lets see how advanced it is without any energy!" Feedback said as he leaped forwards.

"Ben NO!" Bow exclaimed.

Feedback landed on the robot and he thrusted his plug hands into the robots casing and started draining it of its power. However the robot turned its head at the Conductoid and suddenly shocked him with so much energy it was too much for even him to handle and it blasted Feedback across the ground onto his back. With one flash from the Omnitrix he reverted back to Ben groaning as he stood up.

"Ben!" Glimmer exclaimed as she helped him to his feet. "Are you okay?"

"Uhhh anyone get the number of that shocking disaster!" Ben groaned.

However things were about to get even worse. Just then the robot started blaring its alarm again. Then from round the corner of the frozen trees came three more robots that surrounded them like a pack of wild dogs. The group were forced into a circle.

"Mermista! Perfuma we are surrounded north of the woods we need back up stat!" Rook said activating his comlink.

"We're on our way!" Mermista replied.

She-Ra focused her power to try and turn her sword into a weapon. Sadly all it turned into, was an umbrella. As it poofed up She-Ra had to sigh in defeat.

"Uh maybe you should try calling out the weapon, like maybe sword to mace or something?" Ben suggested.

"Not helpful!" She-Ra exclaimed in frustration.

The advanced robots were baring down on the group ready to finish them off, when suddenly. A certain Ice princess appeared landing on the robots head and tried smashing at it with her ice fists.

"Frosta!" Glimmer called in not only annoyance but concern. "Do you even listen when people tell you things?"

"Sound familiar Glimmer?" Ben pointed out.

"What!" Frosta shouted to them having not heard what Glimmer had said to her.

"Get away from the bot!" Glimmer then warned waving her staff.

Despite the warning Frosta just kept punching the robot with her ice fists. "It's the bot you should be worried about!"

Out of nowhere the robot suddenly grabbed the collar of Frosta's coat and flung her away over the cliff like a nat screaming.

"Frosta!" Ben yelled. "Glimmer…" "Way ahead of you!" Glimmer interrupted him and teleported away.

The ice princess was falling and screaming as she fell down the cliff. Help was at hand as Glimmer teleports in and grabs her teleporting the both of them out of danger.

Meanwhile up top the rest of the group were cornered as the robots slowly approached them. She-Ra and Bow had their weapons at the ready and Swift Wind stood had managed to dial in Humungousaur and was about to slam down the dial until. Rook stopped him as he had just noticed something.

The robots didn't attack, instead they merely scanned the group with a purple ray, as well as the surrounding after another alarm the robots simply turned and left the area leaving the heroes alive but completely stunned.

"That was…different." Ben said but suddenly he heard a sparkling sound from above and looked up to see Frosta and Glimmer screaming as they fell from the sky and crashed down onto him. They were piled on his back.

Just then Perfuma and Mermista arrived on the scene. The flower princess came down on a vine and the mermaid princess just walked in.

"There you are. We've been looking everywhere for you." Perfuma said.

"Yeah. Everywhere." Mermista agreed and looked down to see Ben underneath Frosta and Glimmer grumbling.

"Why does this always happen to me?" He grumbled.

"Bad luck?" Mermista shrugged as Glimmer and Frosta got up of Ben.

"That was incredibly stupid! You could've gotten hurt, or gotten one of us hurt!" Glimmer scolded Frosta just as Ben got up from the ground.

"I was just trying to help." Frosta tried to explain.

"We know that Frosta, but there is such a thing as look before you leap." Ben said understanding. "Sometimes you need to pause to consider your actions instead of leaping in fists blazing."

"Pause to consider her actions!" Glimmer groaned. "This is serious not a game." She then turned to Frosta. "You need to stop getting in our way!"

"Glimmer!" Ben exclaimed. It was then that she felt some regret from what she'd just said.

Frosta looked with tears in her eyes and started crying and ran away. "Frosta wait!" Glimmer called but it was too late.

"Ouch." Mermista said as she and Perfuma had watched the whole thing.

"Glimmer…" Ben tried.

"Don't start with me Ben, I know I should't have said that but I don't know what to do with her! I tell her to stay put but she just ignores everything I say!" Glimmer said frustrated. "I don't know how to get through to her I've tried everything!"

"Glimmer, she's just a kid." Ben said to her. "And you know your being a bit of a hippocrite you know that?"

"What?" Glimmer said with a raised eyebrow.

"Come on, when I first met you, you were doing some crazy things too, like disobeying your moms orders and that was before you met Adora or me." Ben explained to her with a bit of a chuckle but then took a serious tone to this.

"Look the point is, this is part of being in a team and sure we may think differently but, take it from someone with experience." Ben explained and Glimmer listened to what he had to say. "It's the teams different ways of helping that makes the team strong and yes we may disagree but it's how we come back together that helps." Ben said. "A good leader accepts this and a friend understands it."

The Bright Moon princess took in everything that Ben had said and she had to admit he had a point. It had been a month and she was already struggling to lead the princesses and now one of them had run off after she scolded her harshly.

"The Horde's new bots are too fast and too smart." Bow said as he and Swift Wind and She-Ra emerged from the trees. "We'll never be able to catch one. I thought I could help, and be the Rebellion's tech master. But that was obviously a dumb idea." He said with regret.

The princesses, Ben and Swift Wind looked with regretful looks on their faces. Rook then stepped forward.

"No it was not." Rook said with a comforting hand on his friend's shoulder. "You are a smart person Bow, you are good with machines, but sometimes an engineer must be prepared to face the unexpected be it unknown anomalies or how quickly the robots can become more advanced."

"He's right." She-Ra agreed. "You're the only one who came up with a real plan. Without it, we'd still just be reacting to the bots. We need to stop letting the Horde manipulate us. So let's put our heads together and think."

Everyone smiled in agreement, Bow looked at Rook who nodded with a proud smile on his face. "Okay for starters what do we know about these bots so far." Ben began.

"Those bots weren't interested in the woods." Bow thought after seeing the bots in action "And, they only defended themselves long enough to get away."

"Meaning they were doing reconnaissance of the area, that is military strategy, these robots are more advanced than anything the Horde has sent thus far." Rook agreed. "They defended themselves when we provoked them, so it seems they were interested in something specific."

"Well, that means attacking us wasn't their mission." Mermista realised.

"And they all went off in the same direction." Swift Wind agreed.

"So whatever they're after is that way." Perfuma realised.

"Okay but whats in that direction?" Ben asked.

"The only thing that's in that direction is…." Suddenly She-Ra realised what the bots wanted. "…the Beacon. I know where the bots are going. And I've got an idea for how to stop them. Frosta, do you think you can…"

However she looked and saw that said ice princess was nowhere to be seen. "Where's Frosta?" She asked.

Mermista, Perfuma, and Ben looked with the same looks towards Glimmer. She breathed in guilt. "I'll go look for her." Ben said as he went in the direction that Frosta headed in.

"I'll go look for her too." Glimmer said rather guilty.

Ben looked through the trees of the woods, in all the bushes and frost bitten vegetation. "Frosta!" He called.

Just then as he reached a clearing, he saw Frosta sitting on a lonely rock curled up. He approached slowly. "Hey there you are."

She turned to see Ben. "Come to yell at me some more!" Frosta then said.

"Whoa hold on I'm not here to yell at you Frosta I just want to talk." Ben said he proceeded to climb up the rock and sit with the ice princess."You wanna talk about it?" He asked.

"I just I just wanted to make friends thats all." Frosta said to him. "And Glimmers so cool and so are you so I thought if I was cool we could be friends."

Ben just smiled warmly at the young Ice Princess. "Hey kiddo we're friends regardless, it doesn't matter what people think of you."

Frosta looked up at the Omnitrix bearer but before she could say anything… "You, wanted to be friends?" she looked and saw Glimmer.

"So you just do that by ignoring us and throwing yourself into danger?" She then questioned.

"Sorry I don't know how to act. I've never had any friends before!" Frosta exclaimed with a tear in her eye which was really surprising to looked in surprise at what she'd said and turned back to crouching her knees in sadness. Glimmer feeling guilty herself teleported up and sat next to her and Ben.

"Frosta what are you talking about?" Ben asked.

"I was eight when I took over the throne." Frosta explained. "It's kind of hard to make friends when everyone is your sworn subject."

"Yeah I can see how tough that is." Ben realised.

Glimmer couldn't help but relate to her in someway. "I know how you feel. I didn't have any friends before Bow,Adora, Ben and Rook."

"Yeah I'm the same." Ben said to her. "I didn't have many friends either back when I was your age. The only people I could talk to was my grandfather and cousin Gwen."

"Wait, you guys?" Frosta said in surprise. "Figured everyone would wanna be your friend. Especially Ben."

"Nope not really, and that was before I got this thing on my wrist." Ben explained gesturing to the Omnitrix. "I sometimes thought people would think I'm cool if they knew I was a hero, but let's just say having everyone know your a super hero is never a good thing. Especially the swarming fans."

"Really?" Frosta said.

"Really." Ben said. "And I'm sure Glimmers the same right?" He asked Glimmer.

"Yeah, definitely not everyone." Glimmer admitted. "And I'm still learning how to be a good friend, too."

Theres a brief pause as the two looked rather awkward. I'm sorry I yelled. It's just… I guess you remind me of... me. And I can do some really dangerous stuff sometimes."

"Thats an understatement." Ben agreed much to Glimmers dismay.

"I remind you of you?" Frosta said taken aback with sparkles in her eyes. Glimmer nodded in response saying yes.

"Not just her." Ben said getting her attention. "I've done some pretty dangerous things too, sometimes I feel like I need to go into dangerous situations just to prove something." He explained. "But, a friend taught me to pause to consider my actions and my grandfather and family taught me it was never the watch that made me special it was the guy wearing it. The point is you don't need to jump into danger to prove something Frosta, your our friend regardless."

"Y..you think of me as a friend?" Frosta said in surprise.

"Well yeah." Ben smiled.

"We all do." Glimmer agreed. "Ugh. And I even sounded like my mom when I yelled at you. Please don't make me do that again."

"Deal!" Frosta said offering her hand but hesitated before Glimmer could accept it. "Does that mean we're friends?"

Ben nodded at Glimmer hinting her at what to say. "Yes, and we… I could really use your help."

"You want me to come back?!" Frosta jumped up excitedly. "I knew we'd make a great team!" She then formed ice hammers and daggers on her hands. "So, should I do ice hammers or daggers? You're right, one of each!"

Glimmer groaned slightly but smiled. Ben just shook his head and smiled before he addressed the two princesses.

"Okay okay lets cool our jets." Ben said. "But I'd totally choose both, now whats say we go bowling for robots!" The two princesses nodded in agreement and with that the three of them teleported away to join the others.

The Beacon:

Meanwhile at the overlooking tower of the Beacon the entrance to the Crystal Castle. The ice around the trees was still melting and ice was melting on the tower itself. However the silence of the forest was shattered by the approaching EKS robots.

From their eyes the scene was being watched by Catra, Scorpia and Entrapta watched from the lab sitting on the sofa. The monitors displayed the visuals from the robots as they approached the Beacon.

"That place has enough First Ones tech inside to power a whole armada of robots forever." Catra said to the others, remembering what she discovered when she followed Ben and Adora into the tower in their search for answers.

"Ahhh, I want that!" Entrapta said in a pretty demanding tone.

Suddenly as they looked at the visuals a sheet of ice appeared under the robots feet causing them to lose traction and slip. Catra gasped at what was happening.

The Beacon:

The robots slipped and swayed on the sheet of ice on the ground. The source of the ice was from Frosta who stood with Glimmer.

"Ice of you to drop in!" Frosta cracked but the two screamed as Glimmer teleported them away to avoid an incoming laser blast from the nearest drone.

The robots strike their feet into the ground learning from their slippery terrain for better footing. One robot charged its laser ready to attack until it was blasted in the side by a laser blast. This came from Rook.

"Remember the robots learn from our attacks, so attack all at once so they cannot scan and learn how to counter!" Rook called as he quickly darted out of the way to avoid a laser shot from the robot he attacked.

Suddenly the robot was hit in the head by a large crystal mace which was swung by She-Ra. "Rooks right! Switch things up. Keep them guessing." She ordered as she changed her mace into a, coffee mug much to her annoyance.

"Oh and improvise." Called Ben's voice on the com links.

In the tree Bow surveyed the situation and knew what to do. "We just need to capture one. Take the others out." He ordered on the coms as he fired three arrows at the robots hitting one in the eye and another in its leg. One robot dodged the arrow by ducking.

"Music to my ears!" Called a voice and it was Ben running towards the robots, but twisted the dial bringing up the selection screen of the Omnitrix selected and alien and slammed the dial down turning him into Cannonbolt.

"Aw yeah let's roll!" He called as he rolled into his ball form and charged straight at the robots slamming into the centre ones leg knocking it off balance before bouncing into the others.

The robot he hit was suddenly caught off guard by a vine knocking it back. Perfuma cast the vine as she stood with Mermista who let loose a torrent of water around the robot. Seeped through the metal lines and then burst it to pieces from the inside.

Perfuma and Mermista looked at each other with congratulations. Their celebration was short lived when jumping down from above was another one of the EKS robots. Mermista and Perfuma looked in surprise.

The Fright Zone:

This was all being watched in the Fright Zone by Catra, Scorpia and Entrapta, two of who were cheering like people watching a wrestling match.

"One bot down, but three to go!" Scorpia cheered.

"Fight, EKS's, fight!" Entrapta cheered. The only one not cheering however was Catra who just scratched her clawed nails into the char out of frustration.

The robot had Mermista and Perfuma pinned down and was about to attack. Suddenly rolling into the scene was Cannonbolt who slammed into the robot knocking it back. He unrolled and knew what to do next.

"Okay time to kick this up a notch!" Cannonbolt smirked. "Or should I say Omni Kick it up!" Without further delay he twisted the dial on his chest 90 degrees and everyone was blinded by a flash of light.

In a green void of white molecules Cannonbolt was now being enveloped into his armour. He now had large green, black and white plated arm pads, with grey and white shoulder plates. The inner side of his arms are left exposed in the black under armour along with his claws. His head is covered in yellow segmented plating with an armadillo like shell. His face and mouth were completely sealed in the armour with a large brow on his forehead whilst a yellow plate covered his face with black lines and grey pipes running from it. His legs have grey and black armour with white pads. The Omnitrix symbol resided on his chest.

He struck a pose then called out.

"OMNI KIX CANNONBOLT!" He cried.

"Uh hey, why'd you shout your name out?" Mermista asked.

Omni Kix Cannonbolt turned to the mermaid princess with his answer. "It strikes fear into the hearts of my enemies!" He said rather dramatically.

Mermista just looked with a raised eyebrow while Perfuma looked confused. "Ri….ght." The mermaid princess merely said.

Their attention was drawn back to the robot ready to attack. Omni Kix Cannonbolt curled up into his armoured ball form and charged forwards and when he hit the bot a large shockwave of green energy blasted it backwards.

As he landed Glimmer and Frosta appeared from the air and they hit into the side of it ice fist first. Perfuma moved her vines to restrain the robot.

"Showed you, bot-face!" Frosta exclaimed. Glimmer teleported her staff into her hand twirled it and struck the robot in the head. Destroying it.

"Hey Frosta!" Called a voice and she turned to the armoured Arburian Pelarota. "I need a ramp, a big one!"

Frosta smirked knowing what he wanted to do."Coming right up!"She said and used her powers to create an ice ramp.

Omni Kix smirked behind his armour plate and revved up his ball form and shot straight up the ramp and into the air. The robots looked up.

"CANNONBOLT CANNONBALL!" He yelled.

He went crashing into the ground and the impact sent out a massive shockwave into the ground knocking all the bots off balance. This also shorted out the camera on one of the robots.

This was watched as the visor from robot number two was blacked out. "Ooh, he is not recovering from that." Scorpia cringed.

"Ahhhh, I can't look." Entrapta said covering her face with her hair and crouching up on the couch. "Tell me what's happening. No, don't."

Catra gets more frustrated with the robots defeats despite the advancements. She gasped as she looked at a screen to see a battle ready and determined She-Ra facing down another robot.

She-Ra narrowly dodges an attack from the robot she's facing. She lands not to far away and she tries again to turn her sword into another weapon but instead gets a piece of rope. She groaned in frustration.

"Why can't you be what I want you to be?!" She exclaimed dodging another attack from the robot.

"Adora!" Called a voice she looks to see Omni Kix Cannonbolt. "Look don't get frustrated with not getting the right weapon it doesn't help!" Cannonbolt said. "Just do what I do when I don't get what I want IMPROVISE!"

She-Ra listened and realised he was right this was like how Ben gets the wrong aliens and how he reacts to it. So she takes his advice and charges towards the robot letting loose her rope of power spinning it and it latches onto the robots leg. Wrapping it round its body then slipping underneath it and pulling it back sending it crashing to the ground.

She-Ra looked pleased with that as did Omni Kix Cannonbolt as he rolled over. "Way to improvise."

The princess of power then moved to leap onto the robot and placed her foot right on its head looking dead in the eye.

"Hey Catra." She teased as she slammed her fist into the robot destroying the camera.

After seeing this Catra stood up from the chair and went over to the control console which displayed the number of robots that had either been damaged or destroyed.

"It's okay. We have two left." Scorpia insisted.

However all the feline Force Captain could do now was press the button on the third robot and it sent a signal to it. Entrapta was a little sad for what was to come.

"Do you have to?" Entrapta said in a pleading way.

"Whatever. We'll find more tech." Catra merely said as she then left the room. Scorpia though was rather surprised she would have thought her new BFF would be angry but she wasn't, or was she?

Back on the battle field She-Ra stood on the robot she restrained with her rope. "Bow, look! I got one." She waved.

Unbeknownst to her however a strange beeping noise was coming from the robots head. Omni Kix Cannonbolt recognised that sound all too well indeed as did Bow.

"Adora! Get away from it!" He cried.

"Its gonna…!" Omni Kix Cannonbolt warned too but it was too late as She-Ra turned to the robot it exploded catapulting her off it and sent her crashing to the ground just as Omni Kix Cannonbolt caught her.

Rook then came over and saw what had just happened. "Are you okay Adora?" He asked.

"Yeah." She answered with a groan. "What just happened?"

"It looks like the bots can self-destruct." Bow observed.

"Agreed it is most likely a failsafe to prevent them from being tampered with." Rook agreed.

"Guess the Horde literally think of everything huh." Omni Kix Cannonbolt growls.

"Catra." She-Ra groans.

They look to see Glimmer, Frosta, Mermista and Perfuma fending off the last robot who is firing at Glimmer and Frosta teleporting away and to land on the other side of it. The robots head slowly turned towards its two enemies. Suddenly its eye started to blink and beep meaning only one thing.

"We can't let that one self-destruct!" Bow exclaimed.

"We need to end this now before it explodes!" Rook exclaimed.

"Then we better make this quick! I've got at least five seconds left!" Omni Kix Cannonbolt said remembering he times out faster in Omni Kix.

"Everyone together!" She-Ra exclaimed to the other princesses as Bow drew an arrow.

Glimmer threw a blast towards the robot blasting it back followed by a ramming slam from the armoured Arburian Pelarota, the shockwave of the impact knocked it into a rock nearby.

Just then the Omnitrix timed out reverting Cannonbolt back to Ben. "Thats it I'm out of juice!" He called.

Luckily She-Ra was there to pick up the slack as she landed a devastating punch into the robot sending it flying into the tower. Bow just whined a gasp in horror given the damage that will have inflicted.

"Uh whoopsies." She-Ra said nervously rubbing her arm.

"Mermista! Frosta we need to restrain it fast! Times running out!" Rook exclaimed to the two princesses.

Mermista walked forwards and readied her powers standing next to Frosta. "You ready, Ice Princess?" She asked.

"Yeah!" Frosta replied with a giggle. The mermaid princess threw a torrent of water up the tower catching the bot. Then it was Frosta's turn using her powers to freeze the water and the robot in place.

"Perfuma your up next!" Ben called and the flower princess waisted no time with a wave of her hand cast some vines to further restrain the robot.

One vine with Bow and Rook on board took them up to the robot. They mounted onto the robot and Rook quickly used his Proto tool to blast off the metal covering whilst bow pried it off with his hand.

"Hurry Bow we have approximately ten seconds!"Rook warned. Bow needed to act fast and after a quick inspection of the inner workings he managed to pull out the circuit board in the robot.

"Haha!" He proclaimed as the robots detonator was deactivated and so was the robot. Their mission was complete.

Rook breathed a sigh of relief. "The robot has been disarmed!" he called.

The princesses and Ben all cheered in celebration. However in that moment they all started to glow in their respective auras. "Uh guys your glowing!" Ben noticed.

The princesses stopped and looked at themselves wondering why this was happening. It was then that Perfuma noticed something. "Look!" She gasped.

They all looked and were completely marvelled by what they saw. The vegetation around the woods was starting to regrow right before their eyes.

"Whoa!" Ben gasped.

"Did we do that?" Frosta asked as Perfuma approached the a plant in front of her and she used her powers to fully restore it to its natural state.

"We did, all of us working together!" Perfuma said ecstatically.

"In harmony, when we work as one there is no stopping us." Rook agreed.

"This is incredible!" Glimmer said excitedly.

"No Glimmer." Ben then said with a hand on her shoulder. "This is the team."

Glimmer smiled as she received a big hug from Frosta who then pulled Ben in on it as well. Perfuma wasted no time pulling Rook and Mermista into a celebratory hug as well. While She-Ra and Bow all looked proud that they completed their mission.

"Personal space." Mermista said kindly trying to get out of the hug while Rook simply blushed.

The Fright Zone: Prisons:

Meanwhile in the dark depressing chambers of the Fright Zone prison complex. A certain sorceress sat in a cell in energy chains. Shadow Weaver was imprisioned for her incompetence to Hordak and for attempting to steal the garnets power before the battle of Bright Moon. And for her treacherous act for trying to return Adora to the Fright Zone despite orders from her master and for failing to deal with a certain shape would've been sent to a highly secure prison or exiled for this insolence, but instead she was wallowing away in this lonely confinement.

Soon though she had company as her cell door was opened. "You look terrible." She looked up and saw her former protege Catra was standing above her looking rather smug.

"Catra. It's been so long." Shadow Weaver greeted. "I assumed Hordak finally realised what a lazy, worthless creature you are and banished you."

"Just the opposite,Hordak values me." Catra said to her former teacher pacing the cell. "I've been busy helping the Horde get closer than ever to defeating the Rebellion." She looked with a smirk. "His words."

Shadow Weaver wasn't convinced, her former student was practically bragging at her yet there was something she was missing.

"If you're doing so well, why are you here?" She asked which resulted in a scowl from Catra as she looked away. "It's Adora and Tennyson, isn't it?" She chuckled.

Catra growled in anger seething and grinding her teeth. Something finally snapped.

"So?! I let them win one!" Catra exclaimed. "We're gaining ground, and our armies are growing! When they're ready to roll out, I will be at the head!" The sorceress listened to her student venting her frustrations "And you'll be here rotting. While I succeed doing what you failed to do! Once Tennysons out of the way everyone will know what I'm capable of!"

"Yet I do not see you wearing that device instead of him." Shadow Weaver pointed out chuckling.

"So I never needed that thing to one up you, and last I checked you're the one rotting in here NOT ME!" Catra yelled.

Soon Catra had a smile on her face as she took in a breath and breathed out her vented frustrations on her foolish old mentor.

"Thanks, I needed this." She took her leave of the cell leaving the sorceress to rot. All she could do was squint her eyes.

Bright Moon:

Everyone soon arrived back at Bright Moon after they completed their mission. Rook and Bow had transported the robot back to the castle with the Proto Truck and went to examine it. Meanwhile Ben went to his room to get something.

Meanwhile in another room the other princesses were gathered and talking about the events of today. Even Spinnerella and Netossa were present. Adora was wrapping bandages around Frosta's right hand while Glimmer was brushing her hair.

"So, we're okay now that the woods are growing back. Right?" Frosta asked Adora.

"Light Hope says there's still a lot to fix with the planet, but at least it won't be as easy for the Horde to attack us." Adora answered which was some comfort to the other princesses.

The ice princess then looked at Glimmer with a humble blush on her cheeks. "Thanks again for saving me, you know, after that bot threw me off the cliff."

"Friends stick together. No princess left behind." Glimmer reminded with a wink and the three girls shared a laugh together.

Just then came a knock on the door. "Come in." Glimmer called and entering the room was Ben who was carrying a tray of eight familiar looking green and white cups with straws and a goofy cartoon face on it.

"Hey girls thought you could do with some refreshments." He placed the tray down on the floor and the princesses all gathered round it. They looked a little confused.

"Oh um what are these?" Spinnerella asked.

"Princesses allow me to introduce the smoothy, its a blended drink back where I'm from got about two years worth of it from those care packages Grandpa Max sent." Ben explained. "So I thought you guys should experience something from Earth for a change."

Indeed along with the Omni Kix key, his care package included about three years worth of smoothy sleeves from Mr Smoothies. Along with a machine to make them with compliments of one Professor Hokestar.

"Oh thats sweet of you Ben." Glimmer said. The princesses were unsure but Perfuma decided to take the plunge and picked up one of the cups.

"Uh how do I drink this?" She asked.

"Oh just suck through the straw." Ben explained "like this." He then demonstrated as he slurped the straw and drank his smoothy. "And don't worry Perfuma its paper one hundred percent recyclable."

Perfuma then repeated his actions and sucked the straw drinking the smoothy. Then her eyes shrunk in surprise feeling the taste. "MMMM This is just so…delicious!" She took another slurp.

The other princesses soon followed suit and took some smoothies of their own. They sucked down the drink and were completely amazed by the taste.

"Whoa this is amazing!" Netossa said amazed.

"It sure is why didn't you ever tell us about this Ben?" Spinerella asked.

"This has to be the best drink I've ever had, and you have these on earth?" Glimmer asked.

"Yeah sure do." Ben said.

"Mmm you know this isn't half bad." Mermista agreed.

"Whoa, we never had these in the Horde! Its amazing!" Adora agreed taking more and more slurps.

"Its so sweet!" Frosta said as she sucked on the straw but Ben noticed how fast she was drinking it.

"Uh Frosta I'd watch how fast you drink it cause otherwise you'll get…" But it was too late for Bens warning.

Frosta suddenly felt a pain in her head almost as if she had ice in her brain. "OOOO What was that!"

"That kid is your first brain freeze, don't worry it'll pass." Ben smiled with a chuckle.

However she wasn't the only one having a brain freeze, Adora clutched her head in pain but still maintained a positive smile. Everyone shared a laugh after that.

Elsewhere:

Meanwhile Bow and Rook were in the archer and tech masters room looking over the robot they had captured. Rook was scanning the robot with his Proto Scanner to understand its composite looked over his scanner and then looked to Bow who was standing on top of the robot.

"As far as I can tell from the scan, this robot was constructed out of advanced components and alloys capable of repelling attacks from the learning from attacks and adapting to them such as how it repelled Feedback." Rook diagnosed.

"Its pretty advanced even for the Horde." Bow said.

"Indeed, which can mean only one thing. The Horde has gained a more advanced technological advantaged in this war." Rook realised. "However to accomplish such a feat, they would need a skilled engineer."

"Well hopefully what we learn here will help us solve that mystery." Bow said pulling out a recorder and started recording it.

"Uh, okay. I'm talking into this recorder because that's what the best scientist I ever knew did." Bow began he was doing this as it reminded him of a lost comrade of theirs. "I'm not really sure who I'm talking to. Me, I guess. So, hi, Future Bow. Rook has done a thorough scan of the drone and now we're about to open this thing." He said.

Though Rook was initially weirded out he understood he was doing this to honour Entrapta. So without further delay Bow used a screwdriver to open the robots head through the panel on its eye. Inside it lay a familiar looking crystal. Bow removed it for him and Rook to take a closer look. Upon closer inspection the Revonnahgander knew where he had seen this crystal before.

"Bow, unless I am mistaken, this looks like First Ones technology." Rook analysed.

"You're right it is…but the only one who knew how to use that was…" Suddenly a shocking revelation hit him as he looked at Rook and he himself had the same look.

"You..you do not think this means…." Rook realised.

"Hold onto your hat, Future Bow and Rook. Entrapta's alive" He said with joy and Rook was most surprise to know this as well. But then the grim reality hit Bow hard and in guilt. "…And we left her behind."

They now had a guilty revelation in their hearts. However Rook was not only concerned but suspicious, why would Entrapta be building robots for the enemy? Was she being forced to do it? Or was she doing it willingly as some kind of retribution for leaving her behind?

Authors Notes: And thats a wrap for this chapter folks, the team wins the day and discovers their fallen comrade Entrapta is not so dead after all. However as we all know nothing is as it seems.

I decided to change the opening to have Ben recap the events that have happened in the past month since the Battle of Bright Moon in recording some log videos on Bow's tracker pad. This is something to happen in coming chapters in certain vids (hint hint) Also decided if Ben got a new look so should Rook namely more advanced Proto tech armour in the Plumbers colours. You can expect to see a design of which appear on my tumblr blog soon.
