Owl House Season 1 Episode 12 – Adventures in the Elements
Luke's Winter Gear
Luke wears a furry blue snow coat, black gloves, dark blue hat with his goggles attached, black leggings and black boots with dark soles.
I…don't have artwork for this one yet. Lol! But I'll put it up as soon as it's done.
I've made edits to Owl House Episode 3 to 8. It's mainly of perfecting Luke's comebacks and adding some more sass to his dialogues. All credits go to TyChav97 who sent me the dialogues which I implemented and modified. Look back and see what edits I've made.
Luke is reading a pamphlet about Hexside, labelled "Hexside Facts and Trivia." It has a picture of Principal Bump on the back along with his quote, "Education is the real magic." Luke is laid down while King lays on his stomach.
Luke: King, listen to this!
King: Hey! Less ready, more scratchy!
Luke: He sits up. Sorry! Now that I'll be a student at Hexside, I've gotta learn all about it! Magical education, here I come!
King: King bites the pamphlet. Nyah!
Eda comes in kicking the door open, filled with excitement.
Eda: Hey, freeloaders! Guess what today is?
Luke: Is it your birthday?
King: Is it my birthday?
Hooty: It's my birthday!
Eda: No! She closes the door. It's human treasure day!
Eda tosses the Portal Door into the air. It unfolds and opens. Owlbert flies through, dragging a giant sack. The sack tears when he flips it onto the floor, revealing a pile of human garbage. The door closes and Eda hops onto the pile
Eda: Ahh, fresh garbage.
King: King runs up. Ooo, gimme, gimme, gimme! He pulls out a teddy bear. Yes! Another worthy addition to my army of terror!
New Guy: He pulls its cord. I love cuddles and kisses!
King: Truly horrifying!
Luke shows no interest in the new human garbage.
Eda: Yo, kid. Your trash pile's getting cold. While mine's getting hot! She pulls out a wire clothes hangar. I have never seen such an extravagant earring.
Luke: You can have my trash. Whoa! Did you know that Hexside was built on the bones of its rival school? One it literally conquered!
Luke shows off the pamphlet, showing a picture of a much younger Principal Bump standing on various Glandus students, being cheered on by fellow Hexside students. The school burns behind them. Eda is now wearing two clothing hangars as earrings and looking in a mirror.
Eda: Yes, I know all these things, I went there. It was the most harrowing period of my life. She speaks to her reflection. Oh, hello.
Luke: Can you imagine it! Me, in the halls of Hexside, studying with Willow and Gus and maybe even Amity! He gasps, realizing he forgot something important regarding his former enemy. Amity! Oh, crud! We're supposed to meet so I can get my Azure book back!
Luke runs out and slams the door.
Eda: Eh, who needs him?
King: King emerges wearing an underwear as a hat. Yeah! This bear could be our new Luke.
New Guy: Being without you is just unbearable.
King: No! He throws down the teddy bear. You're unbearable!
Owl House Intro Music
As the portal gate opens and the camera zooms in on it. Luke opens his eyes to see his falling down, causing him to freak out before something zoomed past and caught him. Luke saw he was saved by Eda along with King, who smirked at the human boy as they flew to her house on her Palisman staff with Luke raising his fist in excitement.
The door where Hooty was opened as Luke steps outside now wearing goggles, twirling his Rebellion sword and struck a pose, aiming his Glyph Gun at the screen. Eda came out with her staff, sharing a grin with Luke. King popped up in front of them in a pose.
A Boiling Isle mural appears, three windows flipping to briefly reveal Gus, Willow, and Amity striking their own poses before burning away to show King commanding an army of stuffed toys, which all fall on him.
Luke rode on Eda's staff like a surfboard, zooming past Bonesborough, flying past Tinella Nosa, sharing a high-five with Gus, Willow being beside him with a plan releasing vines and evading guards that chase him down. Eda and King join in on the fun and they have blast taking to the skies…until they hang on for dear life as a massive monstrous worm-like monster, mouth wide open, lunges at them as they scream in horror.
Then the scene changes back to the Owl House, where it's night-time, and stars twinkle in the sky as the trio are on the roof and looking up into the sky, Eda holding her staff beside her, Luke holding Rebellion downward and King riding his shoulder. Luke opens a hand, sending a ball of light floating into the sky where it bursts to release a blinding flash.
The title card appears:
Owl House
Luke is now running through the market, looking for Amity.
Luke: Where is she? Aha!
Luke sees Amity waiting for him, wearing her casual clothes.
Luke: There she is. He runs to her. Hey, Amity! Luke is finally here!
Edirc and Emira suddenly appear in front of Luke, surprising him.
Edric & Emira: Hi Luke!
Luke shouts in surprise and falls on his back. The twins laugh as Amity walks over.
Amity: Edric! Emira! Stop bothering him! She helps Luke up. Sorry, Luke, they insisted on coming for some reason.
Emira squishes against Amity's face.
Emira: Because we love you, baby sister!
She shoves Emira off and straightens her messed-up hair.
Amity: They've been extra protective and nice towards me to make up for the library incident.
Edric playfully leans in.
Edric: And we still apologize every day.
She shoves Edric away too and offers up Volume 5 of "Witch-Warrior Azure"
Amity: In any case, here's your book.
Luke takes the book back.
Luke: Thanks. So, what'd you think?
Amity: It was…fine.
Luke knows Amity's trying to pretend she doesn't care much, especially when he pulls out a drawing of Amity with said character, with a speech bubble that said, "this love is forbidden!" on it.
Luke: So fine you drew yourself with Malingale the Mysterious Soothsayer?
Seeing that she had forgotten to take out the drawing, Amity became redder than an apple and drew a purple magic circle, destroying the drawing with her magic.
Luke: Maybe we could start an Azure book club together at school when we're classmates!
Amity: Maybe. But to be in my class, you need to take a placement exam and prove that you've mastered three spells. She shows the requirements on the pamphlet. I know you have your electric and light thing. Uh…do you know anything else?
This threw Luke out for a loop. He had no idea about any of this. And the timing couldn't be any worse because his first day is tomorrow and he only knows 2 spells.
Luke: Placement exam? Spells?
The twins rest their arms on Amity, much to her annoyance.
Emira: Quit giving him a hard time, Mittens.
Edric: Yeah, of course he knows three spells. Right, Luke?
Luke blushes in embarrassment.
Luke: Uh…no. I…only know two spells. Eda never taught me any other.
Emira: Oh.
Edric: Uh oh. You might want to learn your third spell before tomorrow then.
Amity: Because if you don't, they'll put you in the baby class.
Amity hands Luke the pamphlet back, now flipped to the baby class page much to Luke's horror.
Luke: SWEET LORD! I'm doomed!
Edric: Edric kneels in front of Amity. Relax, I'm sure the Owl Lady could easily teach you a third spell if you asked her.
Luke: Maybe she could if she wasn't so lazy. She only taught me one lousy spell in two weeks.
Emira: Emira leans on Amity's back, trapping her between them. Well, perhaps you could give her a little push by weaponizing her pride and using it against her.
Luke: Luke mischievously smiles and rubs his chin. Weaponize her pride, eh? I think I know how to do that. He runs and waves. Thanks for the advice! Byyyeeee!
At the Owl House kitchen Eda is reading a book titled "Bending Ingredients to Your Will, preparing to cook a meal. One of her severed hand serves as a stand for the book.
Eda: Wow, a surprisingly peaceful domestic moment. When will it be ruined?
Luke: The front door is slammed open. Eda!
Eda: There it is.
Luke: Eda! Eda, Eda! I demand you teach me a new spell right now!
Eda: Sorry, Luke! These vegetables won't cook themselves…yet.
Eda dumps a potion onto the vegetables. They all grow arms and legs.
Eda: Alright, everybody in the pot! The vegetables scream and run much to her dismay. Why do I always think that's gonna work?
Luke: Luke runs up to the table. But I need to know three spells to get into decent classes at Hexside. I can make Light Glyphs…
Luke pulls one out, presses it and a blinding light surprises Eda, forcing her to shield her eyes.
Luke: …And Electric Glyphs
Luke pulls said Glyph out and activates it, sending a blast of electricity at Eda's foot that shocks her.
Eda: OW! Eda lifts her foot up, clutching it and hopping in pain. Watch it kid!
Luke: Sorry. And I can combine them with my weapons but at the end of the day, I only know 2 spells! If I don't learn a 3rd one, I won't be a legit student.
Eda: And whose fault is that?
Luke: Luke deadpans and point at here. Yours! Duh!
Eda: Eda is silent but then smiles. Hah! Yep. Got me there.
Luke: Just teach me a spell now. Any spell! He becomes darkly dramatic. It can be the darkest evil.
Eda: Well, I have been researching my texts on wild magic, but I'm much too busy right now.
She throws book in the pot and Luke decides to take Emira's advice.
Luke: Come on, Eda! You're the most powerful witch on the Boiling Isles. How would it look if your apprentice got thrown into the baby class?
Eda: Eda smiles, impressed as she rubs her chin. Hmm. Weaponizing my pride. Well played. Well, in that case, this looks like a job for magic boot camp.
King: King bursts in through the back door. Did someone say boot camp? I agree to run it. We'll rise at dawn! You'll carry me on your back as I yell hateful things about your performance!
Eda: Nope. You'll have no part in this. Luke needs to focus, and I can't have him go weird when you do something adorable.
King: King stamps his foot. I am not adorable!
Luke: Aww, is my little buddy angry? Who's an angry demon?
King squeals and leaves, slamming the door behind him. It reopens. He slams it again. It reopens. He slams it harder and it stays shut.
Eda: Now, no time to waste. You'll have to follow my teaching exactly. We gotta go somewhere special.
Luke: Yes!
Eda: A place where magic energy just flows.
Luke: He climbs up the counter. Yes!
Eda and Luke are now standing in an area surrounded by snow. Both are wearing winter gear.
Eda: A place like, the Knee!
Luke: YEEEESSSSS!
Luke's cry of joy echoes across the Isles. One of the words yelled "Cookie" much to his and Eda's surprise.
Luke: Hey, did you hear that!? That cookie, part?
Eda: Huh. Your echo must be broken.
Luke and Eda walk down the mountain trails.
Eda: The earliest witches came to the Knee to develop their magic, drawn to its natural power.
Luke is in complete awe of what he's seeing, ruins covered in snow.
Luke: It's beautiful!
Eda: Eda gestures to the side. Though, it's not without its dangers.
Chewing on the carcass of an animal was a huge yeti-like monster that had its body covered by white fur. Its claws, which have no fur, were purple, and it had many light-yellow sharp teeth that could be seen when its mouth opened to rip out chunks of flesh. Inside its mouth, it was revealed that it had two blue eyes on the gums.
Luke: What the hell is that thing!?
Eda: The Slitherbeast! Don't worry, if you don't mess with him, he won't mess with you.
Eda walks off and Luke blows a raspberry at the Slitherbeast. It bites through the tree trunk and sniffs in Luke's direction. He yelps and runs off.
Soon, the duo reached an area of the ruins with various-sized rocks around them and several broken pieces of architecture.
Eda: Here's where we'll set up shop.
Luke: I'll definitely learn my third spell here! Gorgeous views, magic in the air. This couldn't possibly get any better!
Something pink came flying at him.
Eda: Watch out!
Eda tackles Luke seconds before a pink fireball hits the spot Luke had been standing in. The duo pops up with their sword and staff drawn only to calm down when they see who the fireball came from. Amity and her older brother and sister, all wearing snow gear.
Amity is holding a light brown wand in one hand called a training wand. It had a thicker, darker brown handle and a grey cylinder connecting the handle to the stick with a screen displaying a battery.
Amity: Sorry, whoever's over there!
Luke: Amity?!
Amity becomes equally surprised to see Luke.
Amity: Luke!?
Edric and Emira wave at him.
Edric: Hey, Luke!
Emira: Hi, Luke!
Eda: Hey, isn't that the little brat you fought in a witch duel at the covention?
Luke: Yeah, that's her. But we're cool now.
Eda: What about those two?
Luke: Her older siblings. They're also cool, so try to act cool around them. He waves at his new friends. What's up, guys!?
Eda: I'd better get what we need for your training. I'll just leave you alone for a bit with your girlfriend.
Luke: Eda takes her leave. Right, you go do th-wait, no, Eda! She's not my-!
Amity: Um…what did she say?
Luke yelps and turns to see Amity walking up to her, not having caught what Eda said. Luke blushes madly but tries playing it cool.
Luke: Amity!
He tries to jump over the rock but ended up slipping on the snow and landed on the ground. Still trying to play it cool, he posed on the ground.
Luke: Wha…What are you doing here?
Amity: I'm here to train. I'm trying to beat Ed and Em's highest score on the exam.
Emira: Aw, Mittens. That's impossible!
Edric: She still needs to use a training wand to learn new spells. So, what are you workin' on? Something powerful?
Luke: Possibly. I'm working on learning my third spell. No way am I going to the Baby Class. By the way, thanks for your advice, Emira, it came in handy.
Emira: Glad it did. Told you all you just needed to do was to weaponize the Owl Lady's pride.
Amity: So, what spell will you be learning?
Luke: No idea, but I imagine it'll be something awesome!
Eda: Eda comes back carrying a basket of snowballs. Luke! I shall now teach you how to identify different types of snow—by taste! Luke just stares in confusion as Eda holds out a snowball Go on, eat the snow.
She shoves the snowball in Luke's face much to his confusion and embarrassment. The Blight Twins are just confused.
Luke: I stand corrected.
Emira: Is this some kind of…special magic?
Amity: A disinterested Amity clears her throat. I don't think the Owl Lady wants to show us any of her powerful spells.
She leaves and the twins are now watching Eda point at her mouth full of snowballs. Luke holds his forehead in humiliation with a groan as Eda swallows the snow and gets a brain freeze.
Eda: Oooh! Brain freeze! Brain freeze!
Emira: See you around, human! Good luck with your…uh…training.
Edric picks up a clump of snow and tries to lick it. Emira knocks it out of his hand and drags him away much to his dismay. The twins and Luke wave to each other. When they're out of sight Luke turns back to Eda, mad over how she just acted.
Luke: Eda! What the hell!? Would it kill you to take this seriously?!
Eda: You need to take me seriously. Go taste snow without my guidance, see where it gets you. Luke looks downcast, causing Eda to soften up and ruffle his hair. Oh, don't worry, kid. If you listen to me, soon you'll be doing stuff like that.
Eda points over to the Blights. They watch as Amity reads from "Magic 101", then aims her training wand at a tree and draws a spell circle with it. This produced another fireball that flies out and incinerates the tree. The battery light on the training wand flashes.
Eda: And it won't be with some whack training wand, it'll be the real deal. But you have to trust me, okay?
Luke: Okay. I trust you.
Eda: We've covered snow, so now it's on to smelling moss. She pulls some moss out of her pocket. Now the trick is, you really gotta get it up in there.
Luke's expression falls as Eda shoves moss up her nose, not feeling hopeful over the so-called lessons he's receiving.
(Timeskip)
King is doing his own thing with his so-called army back at the Owl House.
At the knee Eda is sitting in front of a fire drinking out of a mug and Luke is walking out from the forest, becoming increasingly frustrated as he feels he's gotten nowhere.
Luke: Ugh. Okay. I've identified the smells of three different rocks, sorted all the twigs from big to small, and found your glove…and your hand.
He lifts the glove off of to reveal his teacher's detached hand.
Eda: Ah, I was wondering where that thing went.
She screws her hand back on.
Luke: So, what now?
Luke watches Amity training with Edric and Emira. Amity sends a jet of fire at Edric with the training wand. He dodges it. Emira summons an arm of snow. Amity blocks and destroys it with a shield. Amity dispels the shield and waves at Luke with a smile when she spots him watching her. Edric uses the distraction to make Amity sink in the snow until only her hand is showing.
Luke struggles to hold in his laughter. Eda stood up and places a hand on her student's shoulder.
Eda: Hey. I know my lessons seem weird, but this is what wild magic is all about! Making a connection with nature. The earliest witches understood that. Human witches need to understand it, too. You wanna learn a third spell?
Luke: Yes, more than anything.
Eda: Then you have to learn from the island.
Eda guides Luke to a rock at the edge of the cliff and makes him sit down.
Eda: Now look…
The rock overlooks the Titan. Its Ribs are nearly the same height as the Knee, and its Skull is towering even from the opposite end of the Isles. Luke stares at the sight in awe as wind blows past him.
Eda: And think about what the island is trying to tell you.
She leaves Luke on his own to stare and reflect which he attempts to do. He takes a deep breath.
Luke: Alright, Luke. Look. Look with everything you've got. Focus.
Luke stares at the view for 30 minutes. His expression is blank at first but then it turns to frustration and defeat.
Luke: And looking… and looking… and… now I'm bored. Luke casually falls on his back in defeat. Okay, that's it, I give up. I've officially learnt nothing.
A crash gets her attention. Amity has destroyed a pillar with her training wand.
Emira: Amity! Dinner's ready!
Edric: I caught a bat!
Amity: Edric, don't eat that.
Amity puts her book and wand into her tent before she walks off to join her siblings. An idea comes to Luke's mind.
Luke: If I wanna be in the same class as Amity, I'm gonna need to learn magic like Amity.
(Timeskip)
King uses one of Eda's potions to bring his stuffed animals and toys to life. He's ordering them around which is likely to lead to some terrible consequences for him later.
It's night-time now and back at the knee Edric is holding the bat he found. Emira and Amity glare at him.
Emira: Ed, give me the bat.
Edric: No! If we're not gonna eat it, I wanna keep it as a pet!
Edrich runs off and Emira and Amity follow him to get the bat.
Emira: Get back here before that thing bites you!
Loud grunts are heard. Edric just bumped into Luke and both were on the ground in a daze. The bat flew away as the two got up. Luke rubs the back of his head.
Luke: Ow.
Edric: Oops, sorry. Let me help you up.
Edrich helps Luke up and the girls walk over with a smile.
Emira: Hey, Luke. How's your training?
Amity: Did you learn your third spell yet?
Luke: Luke frowns. Yeah, dudes… about that. I give up.
The Blight Trio were taken aback to hear that from him.
Amity: What!? Why!?
Emira: You were psyched earlier!
Luke: Yeah, that was before I had to go through, Eda's "training". I was forced to eat snowballs, smell disgusting moss, identify the smells of the 3 different rocks, arrange twigs from small to big, find her severed hand and just recently she told me to do nothing but stare out into the landscape.
The Blights cringe at first few parts, seeing that Luke's getting frustrated with his so-called training.
Edric: Yeesh. You are not having fun, are you?
Amity: Shouldn't she be teaching you new spells… or something.
Luke: That's the problem! She isn't doing that at all! She's just teaching me to do all this weird stuff and I'm learning absolutely nada!
Amity: Uh…Luke, no pressure, but if you don't learn that third spell…
Luke: I'm gonna be put in the baby class, I know! My name will be Mud!
Edric: Or worse. They could call you Luke, the Giant Human Baby.
The girls nudge Edric's shoulder and Luke deadpans.
Luke: Dude, that is so not helping.
Emira: You're right, that would be embarrassing. Emira snaps her fingers, an idea coming to mind. Wait, right here.
Emira runs off and then comes back with Amity's training wand and Magic 101 book.
Emira: Use these before the Owl Lady, comes back!
Amity: Amity does not like this. Wait, you can't give him my training wand!
Edric: Relax, Mittens, it'll only be until we finish dinner. Emira offers them up and Luke takes them. That should be enough time for you to get a good feel of using the fire spell Mitten's been learning.
Luke: Luke is unsure at first, but desperation was dominant in his mind. Hmm. This takes some uniqueness away from the magic I have, but at this point I'll do anything to learn one lousy spell. Maybe I might even find a new glyph through this. So, I'll take it…if that's okay with you, Amity?
Amity: Amity is unsure at first but relents. Well, I wouldn't want you get humiliated by being sent to the baby's class. She smiles. And if you promise to give them back to me after we finish dinner, I guess I can live with it.
Luke: Deal! Just meet me by my tent and you'll have this back! Hopefully, I'll learn something by then. Thanks, you, guys.
Luke runs off to try out the training wand.
Amity: And be careful with it!
Luke walks back to the ledge near his and Eda's tent, where he kneels down and opens the book. Inside is a cute drawing of Amity firing something called "Magic Beam".
Luke: Hmm. Not bad. Her crosshatching has improved.
He moves Amity's drawing to show a page titled "Fireball." Under an image of a witch casting the spell is the word "FOCUS" written in runes.
Luke: Okay, let's see what this thing can do.
Luke stood up, took aim, drew an orange magic circle with the wand and fiery energy formed at its tip much to his delight.
Luke: Yes! Score!
He shoots the fireball off and it explodes like firework.
Luke: Yeah! I did magic! He jumps in place. Nailed it! I didn't even need to draw anything! This thing is the coolest!
Eda: Hold it right there. Luke freezes in place and turns to see Eda, having watched the whole thing in disappointment. What are you doing with that?
Luke: Seeing he's been caught, Luke defends himself. I'm doing magic, which is what you should've been teaching me to do! Not eat snow? Or lick a rock? Eda, I'm sorry to say this but your weird methods are not teaching me anything!
Eda: Okay, so maybe my methods are... unique, but so is your magic. Connecting to the island can help you. That wand can't.
Luke: Well, it's already helped me. Just watch what I can do!
He draws out another spell circle, only much stronger. The power bar on the wand flashes a low battery bar, causing Luke to lose control of the fireball.
Luke: Hey! What the-!?
The fireball sparks out of control and is shot further into the Knee. It explodes somewhere in the forest, causing birds to fly off. Eda gasps when a savage roar is heard. The Slitherbeast jumped over the tree and landed in front of Eda and the kids. It roared angrily at them, as a large patch of fur had been burned off over its mouth. Luke runs up next to Eda as she summons her staff.
Eda: You've angered the Slitherbeast!
Luke: Will it accept a heartfelt apology?
The Slitherbeast sniffed the air and looked around, trying to see what it was that attacked it. And when it smelt burning wood, it turned in the direction of Luz, who was still holding the smouldering tip of Amity's training wand.
Luke: Oh crap!
Eda: Watch out!
Eda pushes Luke out of the way and The Slitherbeast grabs her. She screams and strains. The Slitherbeast roars furiously.
Luke: Eda!
Amity: Luke!
The Blights arrive in time to help.
Edric: What did we miss?
Amity: Luke, what did you just do!?
Luke: Um...I may have accidentally shot a fire spell at the Slitherbeast and made it angry.
Amity snatches her wand and book back, holding them protectively.
Amity: You did what!?
Emira: Mittens, we'll talk this out later.
The Slitherbeast advances on them, Eda still held in one claw. It growls at them as the twins ran up in front of Luke and Amity.
Emira: Aw, he's so cute. Can we keep him?
Edric: It's no bat, but we could try.
Luke swung out Rebellion and the blade ignites from its handle. He runs up to the front and holds his sword over shoulder in a stance.
Luke: I'll keep it busy! You guys get ready strike!
The Slitherbeast attempts to maul Luke, but he guards with his sword, holding its teeth back before pushing it off. He tries to slice it, but the Slitherbeast quickly rears its head back to evade. It attempts to slice Luke with his claws, but he jumps back, sheathing his sword to bring out Des and Troy to shoot out laser bullets that forces the beast to shield its face.
Edric: Now!
Together, the twins both cast a lasso spell at the Slitherbeast's hands. The lassos wrapped around the wrists of the monster, making it growl at the witches. Undeterred, they yanked the beast down to the ground. However, Edric and Emira struggled to keep their hold on it as the monster tried to pull away.
Eda: You got it! Now finish it off!
Amity: I'm on it!
Amity ran forward to cast a spell with her wand, drawing a spell circle and conjuring a pink flame. However, the spell fell apart, much to the shock of Amity
Amity: What?
Amity smacked the wand against her hand, trying to get it to work. Then she looked at the power and was shocked to notice the low battery light. She turned to Luke, now really angry.
Amity: Did you use this all up?
Luke: WHAT!? It runs on batteries! I…I didn't know! Since when do wands run on batteries!
Edric and Emira are now struggling to hold the monster down.
Emira: Luke! You're gonna have to finish it off instead!
Edric: Stab it with that awesome sword of yours!
Luke puts away his guns and draws his sword again.
Luke: I'm on it!
He charges the Slitherbeast to cut it down. However, the beast suddenly lashed out, breaking free from the lasso and yanking the twins into the snow near Amity.
Amity: Edric! Emira!
Luke leapt at the Slitherbeast only for it to smack him with its free hand. Luke slams into a broken wall and drops on his chest, losing his sword in the process.
Amity: Luke!
The Slitherbeast picks up the Blights, but Amity falls through.
Amity: No! Edric! Emira!
The Slitherbeast puts Edric and Emira into the claw holding Eda. With its free arm it smacks Amity and sends her screaming. Luke quickly catches her and they both land on the snow. The captured witches cry out as the Slitherbeast ran off and retreats to its lair
Luke and Amity chase after Slitherbeast, prompting it to punch the snow and cause a slight tremor. A large portion of snow beneath Luke and Amity collapses and they fall down the pit, screaming.
(Timeskip)
Due to King's abuse and mistreatment of the toys he brought to life they all turn on him. Now he's about to receive karma for the terrible treatment he's given.
Back at the knee, Luke and Amity are trapped down a snow pit, unable to escape. Luke tries to climb up but when she nearly gets halfway, the snow she gripped on collapses and he ends up falling on Amity.
Amity: Get off me!
Luke: Sorry!
Amity: Luke quickly gets off. We can't climb out of here; the snow will just collapse on us!
Luke: We've gotta do something! That thing's gonna eat, Eda!
Amity: Amity furiously advances on Luke, forcing him back. And because of you, it also has my brother and sister! This is all your fault, Luke! I never should've given you, my wand! If you hadn't been using it none of this would've happened!
Luke backs away, frightened by Amity's display of anger but also understands why she'd be angry. He looks down in regret and Amity backs up in guilt over what she said.
Amity: I…I'm sorry. I didn't mean to snap. I'm just…really worried about my siblings. They may be annoying…but I still care about them.
Luke: No, it's fine. You're right. I really messed up. If I hadn't blasted that Slitherbeast this never would've happened. Stupid island. He kicks a rock only to regret when he hops in pain. When it stops, he sat on the rock, with a defeated look. This stupid place was supposed to teach me magic but, in the end, I didn't learn anything. He sighs. Maybe you were right about me before Amity.
Amity: About what?
Luke: About how humans can't be witches. Amity lowers her eyes in guilt. Back home in the human world I'm a nobody. Some people teased me for how weird I was, and some were scared of me for beating up jerks even though they were picking on little kids first. My whole life I've been wanting to look for something that I want to do and at the same time become friends with people who like that something. But no matter how hard I try I just couldn't seem to fit in. As far as other human kids are concerned, I'm just the "weird but violent dummy who gets sent to the principal's office". I didn't think I'd have a good future in my own world. Then when I came to the Demon World, I felt I had found my calling at last. I thought to myself, maybe this is the world where I can find my future and people to make a connection with. Amity listens to Luke's story and the more he talks the more Amity feels sorry for him. I've fantasized about being the ultimate witch-warrior all my life. In my world that's not possible, but here it is. Being a witch may be my only chance left at life. I want to be a real witch like you and everyone else, but I guess in the end I just don't belong here. There's no way I can be like you, Eda or anyone else.
Amity could only look at Luke sympathy; all he wanted was to learn his third spell only to have to wind up going through all this. It was so frustrating for him. She now also understands that Luke is looking for place where he feels he belongs in. A place where he can find his future. A place where he can make true friends, the kind he could never make in his own world. She also looks at him in guilt, feeling worse about the things she said in the covention about Luke not having any magical ability.
Amity: No, you can't be like me. You can't be like Eda, either. Seeing how much he needs encouragement she puts on a genuine smile. You can be even better.
Luke: Huh?
Luke looks at Amity in surprise, did she just try to cheer him up. She walks over and sat down next to him, smiling.
Amity: Luke, you're more special than you give yourself credit for. You don't need to learn magic like mine. YOUR magic is as unique as you are. You fought me in a witches' duel and almost defeated me, the top student of Hexside…as embarrassing as it was being beaten by a human. You even brought your own house to life. And it's not just that. You're so brave; you risked your life to save me in the library that night. And your kind; despite how I've treated you ever since we first me you still tried to be my friend no matter how much I tried pushing you away. She blushes a little. It's one of the things I've come to admire about you. Amity takes a deep breath, trying to process what she just said. Wow, I can't believe I just said that.
Luke: Luke's blushing now, touched by those words. Well, of course I wanted to be your friend Amity. There was a goodness I sensed in you after you released me from that Everlasting Oath in the covention. Just from that day I knew you were a good and honourable person deep down. I felt there was reason why you act so cold-hearted, and I wanted to reach out to you, be a true friend. Everyone needs at least one.
Amity: Amity is touched by that and brushes a strand of her hair to the side. That's really sweet of you to say. No one's ever tried reaching out to me like you do. Honestly, I never thought I'd ever have a true friend again ever since…
Amity frowns and it doesn't take Luke a detective to figure out who it's about.
Luke: Ever since Willow.
Amity: Amity gasps and looks to Luke in shock. You know!?
Luke: She told me some things. Apparently, the two of you were once close friends when you were little. Am I right?
Amity: Amity looks down, trying to remember fond memories. Yeah, it's true. But we were more than just close friends. Willow was my best friend. We'd play together every day; she was like the little sister I always wanted. And I loved her like a sister.
Luke: But…if you two were that close, then why dump her for some pathetic three-eyed jerk like Boscha. Willow told me it was because you had magical powers and she couldn't control hers.
Amity: Amity saddens, close to tears. That's because Willow doesn't know the real reason, I pushed her away. I wanted to be there for her and help her learn magic. You think I want to be friends with someone as horrible and annoying as Boscha. I regret every moment I spend bullying Willow and wrecking her confidence. I'm only friends with Bosca because my parents forced me to.
Luke: Your parents?
Amity: You're not the only one who doesn't feel like you belong anywhere. I don't feel like I'm part of my own family. I…don't really have that good of a relationship with my parents.
Luke: What do you mean?
Amity: My mom…she's a complete control freak. She's a businesswoman who treats me more like a tool instead of her daughter. She says everything she does is for the family, but really, it's for money. Luke can tell Amity is getting angrier and angrier the more she talks about her mother. It's who she is! She cares about no one but herself! Especially, all her big plans for me! She's determined to groom me into becoming a coven head! I'm not sure if that's what I want to be!
Luke: But…didn't you say the Emperor's Coven was your future. It sounded like it was your dream.
Amity: I was raised to believe it was my dream. But really, it's just a goal my mom forced on me. I wanted to be something else, but…I don't remember what that was. She gets sadder now. And my dad. I don't know how to describe my dad. Maybe he's a good person, but I barely see him around. He's always in our basement working. And when I do see him, he always sides with Mom. He just goes along with everything she says without ever thinking for himself or giving his own opinions. He doesn't defend us at all. And no matter what I do he never notices me or my siblings. We might as well not exist to him.
Luke: Whoa… difficult parents. That must be frustrating.
Amity: You have no idea. My Mom says she wants the perfect child to continue the Blight's legacy. She forced me to change who I was, ripped me away from Willow and forced me to be friends with people I didn't like. Because of her I grew up thinking every opportunity was a way to justify my reason for existing. She taught me without a reason to exist my life is nothing! Luke can see Amity's eyes well up a little. She got what she wanted. She got the daughter she wanted. And I got cheated out of my childhood.
And for the first time Amity cries. Tears stream down her face as she quietly sobs while clutching her knees. Luke could only look on in sorrow, sympathising with her as he thinks about a part of his own life. In response he gently touches her hands and calms her down. Amity turns in surprise as he wipes off the tears leaking out of her eyes.
Luke: I know what that's like. Amity, I don't know what it is that your mother puts you through, but I do know this…you're a nice girl. Just because you're your mother's daughter doesn't mean you have to be like her. You should be allowed to choose who you want to be. And for the record, you don't need a reason to exist. With or without a purpose your life is valuable. The moment anyone's born their life has a value.
Amity: You actually believe my life has value?
Luke: Definitely, it's not up to your mom to decide whether or not your life has value. Only you decide that. And personally, I don't think your worthless. It's not too late to take back your childhood.
Amity: You really think so?
Luke: Of course; it's never too late to change. And I'll help you…because you're my friend.
Amity: Amity was touched and surprised by this. You…really see me as your friend?
Luke: If that's what you want.
In her heart Amity is feeling a genuine kind of joy and happiness that makes her want to cry. She never thought she'd have an actual friend again and here she is proven wrong by Luke's kindness. Amity gives a deep smile.
Amity: Thank you.
Luke continued clutching Amity's hand as they shared a fond smile. The two of them were closely face-to-face and when they realized the position and distance, they were in the two quickly backed away from each other and blushed wildly. Amity walked away from the rock.
Amity: So…um… how are we going to get out of here?
Luke: Don't you know any levitation spells that can get us out of here.
Amity: If I did, don't you think I would've gotten us out of here by now?
Luke: Dammit! If only I knew a third spell!
He looks up, where clouds are parting to reveal stars. If they weren't trapped Luke and Amity would take time to stare at the beautiful sight. Snow is beginning to fall.
Luke: But I'll never learn more than this.
He pulls a notepad and a pencil from his pocket and draws a light glyph. He activates it and watches as it flies into the sky. The stars blink above and Luke notices something that catches his interest.
Luke: Wait. Is that...
Amity: Luke, what is it?
Luke: Look up there.
Amity looks up with Luke. The stars form a constellation in the form of his He light glyph. He traces the outer ring with her finger.
Luke: Is that a Light Glyph?
Amity: That's the spell glyph you usually use, right?
Luke: Yeah, but what does it mean?
A snowflake lands on his glove and Luke is surprised with what he saw.
Luke: Amity, look at this!
Amity runs over and bends to his level. They saw a glyph pattern in the centre of the snowflake, different from the two Luke has now. It was a large diamond with a line down the centre, sat on another line across the bottom of the circle. Across the diamond was a curved line and a smaller diamond included at the bottom.
Luke: Whoa.
Amity: That glyph looks different.
Luke: Luke is hit with realization. Of course! That's what Eda was trying to teach me all along! That's what it means!
Amity: Say what now?
Determined, he grabs a stick, breaking a twig off of it and catches another snowflake.
Luke: It means…magic is a gift from the island. It means...
Amity watches in confusion as Luke drew the glyph from the snowflake into the snow with the twig. He taps the glyph on the ground, backing away when a small pillar of ice rises from it much to his and Amity's amazement.
Luke: Magic is everywhere!
Amity: Did you just-! How did you-!?
Luke shakes Amity's shoulders in excitement.
Luke: I think I've found my third spell!
Luke grabs the bigger stick and replicates the ice glyph, this time the entire size of the pit. Luke jumps on the rock and reaches his hand out to Amity.
Luke: Amity, get on!
Amity: What!?
Luke: Trust me! You trust me, don't you.
Amity is hesitant at first but after their conversation how could she not trust Luke. She takes his hand, and he helps her up the rock and she blushes as he held his hand. He proudly looks at his new glyph.
Luke: MAGIC IS EVERYWHERE! BONZAI!
They then jumped off the rock and landed on the ground with Luke's hands touching the lines of the glyph. Activating it, the resulting ice pillar grew taller than the pit, launching the duo through the air. Luke screams in joy and Amity screams in terror, flailing through the air while Luke threw his fists.
Luke: WOOO-HOOOO!
Amity: AAAAAHHHH!
Both of them fell down the air and into the snow. Luke can be seen throwing up his fists.
Luke: NAILED IT! I've finally found my third spell! He pops out the snow. Thank you, snow! Thank you, island! Thank you, Eda. He double takes, remembering Eda's predicament. Eda! I have to save her. He gets out the snow and looks down where Amity is. Amity, are you alright!?
Amity pops out of the snow, breathing deeply and rapidly, taking Luke aback.
Luke: Whoa! Uh…you okay, Amity?
Amity: That was…amazing! To his surprise Amity comes out and stood up, brimming with excitement. I don't know what that was! I never felt like that before! I was scared and at the same time I got some sense of enjoyment. What was that feeling!?
Luke: That was the feeling of having fun, Amity.
Amity: Amity sheepishly holds her arm. I…I forgot what it felt like to have that kind of fun. You really have a way of bringing out a happier side of someone, don't you Luke.
Luke: It's a human thing and a gift.
Amity: Congratulations on learning your third spell.
Luke: Thanks, Amity. But, enough mush, Eda, Edric and Emira need us!
Amity: Right!
Luke and Amity run up the hill and see large footprints and trees knocked down.
Amity: Obviously it went this way!
Luke: Follow that trail of carnage! "Carnage" echoes throughout the landscape but Luke once again here's "Cookie" midway. There it is again! You hear that? Eda's right! My echo really is broken.
Amity: Uh…Luke. Eda. Siblings in peril!
Luke: Oh, right, sorry! Let's go!
The duo run down, following the trail left by the beast.
(Timeskip)
The toys end kicking King and Francois out of the Owl House. With no one left to turn to, King is forced to ask Hooty for help. Of course, he refuses since King wouldn't let him join his "army" earlier so King drew Hooty a body on the door much to his delight. The Owl Demon bursts into the house and literally begins tearing the toys apart, impressing King and earning much of his respect.
We go back to the Knee, where Luke and Amity ran out of some trees. Growling is heard from a cave obscured with fog.
Inside the cave, the Slitherbeast roars before spitting out purple goop at the wall. It shoves Eda, Emira, and Edric against it. The goop closes around their torsos, trapping them and the Slitherbeast hops away.
Emira: Don't worry. We'll be fine!
All that optimism disappears when skeletons covered in purple goo drop from the ceiling.
Edric: No, we're gonna die.
A skeleton pops up nearby them.
Luke: That's right. Death is here for you. The skull is lifted to reveal Luke playing a prank. Just kidding, Luke is here!
Eda: Kid, get outta here! I'm just gonna sneak away when the thing starts eating the twins.
Emira: Wait, what?
Edric lets out an offended gasp.
Luke: Don't worry, Eda, I get it now. I was so obsessed with learning my third spell, I didn't listen to you. I'm sorry. But now I'm gonna save you and make it up to you! I'll handle the Slitherbeast!
Emira: You'll handle it? How?
Luke: Luke teasingly waves a finger. I can't just tell you. It'll spoil the surprise. Just wait until Amity gets here.
Edric: What are we supposed to do until then?
Luke: Just…stick around for a bit. Get it? Stick around!? 'Cause you're sticking to the wall? Luke ran off, laughing. Oh-ho-ho, man! If this witch warrior thing doesn't work out, I gotta try standup!
Eda: Eda deadpans. He really shouldn't. But at least I got to see his misplaced confidence one last time.
Amity is peeking around a boulder with a serious expression. Luke pops up under her with a similar expression. Amity notices him, surprising her.
Amity: Luke!
Luke: Hello!
They both duck behind the boulder.
Amity: Are they all okay?
Luke: Yup! They're fine! We just need to bust them out! Now if we're going to save Eda and the twins, we're gonna need to work together. He whispers in her ear. Okay, here's what we're gonna do.
Meanwhile the Slitherbeast returns. It sprinkles assorted seasonings on Edric, Emira, and Eda's heads. Eda sneezes.
Eda: Ugh, I hate garlic.
Luke: Hey! You big blind idiot! Luke waves his arms. Over here!
The Slitherbeast turns and growls. It tosses a boulder at Luke but he quickly swung out and extends Rebellion, slicing the boulder apart. As he puts his retracted blade away, the Slitherbeast leapt, landing in front of Luke to release a ferocious roar in his face but Luke is unfazed. He just paces left and right with a grin.
Luke: Wow. You're even uglier this up close. I've never seen a blind mutt before. He points at the beast. You know, in a dog show you'd definitely win first place
In a fit of rage, the Slitherbeast releases a blast of cold air at Luke who leapt right up, dodging the blast and lands on the ground.
Luke: Whoa! Easy fido! Hey, here's an idea. How 'bout I take you out for a walk. Luke steps backwards, mockingly clapping. Come on puppy. Let's go.
Amity shakes her head in fear.
Amity: Luke can you put a lid on your wisecracks just this once…?
Edric: Wow. He really loves taunting just about anyone or anything, doesn't he.
Eda: He sure does. Eda sniffs. I'm so proud right now.
The Slitherbeast swipes its claws but Luke flips back, busting out his Glyph Guns when he lands, giving them a spin.
Luke: It's showtime!
Luke crosses and aims his double guns. The Slitherbeast charges the human boy, the jewels in the guns glowing yellow with Light Glyph as the guns charge up.
Luke: SUCK ON THIS!
He sends out a barrage of light bullets that stops the Slitherbeast in its tracks and forces it back. Luke laughs wildly as he shoots out hundreds of energy bullets.
Emira: Wow. He is enjoying this too much.
Eda: Just like I taught him too. That's my student.
The angered Slitherbeast roars and jumps at Luke, prompting him to make a run for it. Amity climbs up to her siblings and Eda.
Edric: Amity!
Emira: Use that fire spell we taught you!
Amity: But I can't do it without the wand!
Emira: Yes, you can. Just focus.
Amity: Okay.
She slowly traces a spell circle in front of her. It wavers when she concentrates, but a ball of pink fire appears after a moment and she smiles proudly. Edric and Emira are even prouder.
Emira: Cool. I didn't think you could actually do it.
Amity melts the three of them free.
Luke: DIE SNOW MUTT!
Amity: Amity turns in concern. Luke!
Luke is on the run from the Slitherbeast chasing him throughout the cave. He continuously shoots bullets from one of his guns to slow it down. The Slitherbeast follows him until they exit the cave and he's cornered by a tree. Eda, Amity, Edric and Emira arrive on time to see what's going.
Amity: Luke!
Luke: Don't worry, I got this! Luke busts out Rebellion and brings out a paper with the Ice Glyph drawn on it. Time for you to chill out mutt!
Luke attaches the Ice Glyph to Rebellion. It activates and becomes embedded above the Light-Glyph. Rebellion morphs, changing form and becoming a blade of pure ice, coated in cold air. Luke swung his sword, ready to fight while the Blights were in awe and Eda watched in pride.
Edric & Emira: Whoa!
Eda: Hot dang, our baby has finally learned his third spell!
Amity: That's the new spell he learned! His sword absorbed it like the other two!
Luke: Showtime!
Luke holds up his sword and the Slitherbeast charges. It takes a swipe with its claws but Luke lunges and meets it with a swing from his ice blade. The moment they meet, the Slitherbeast's front leg freezes, becoming encased in ice. It's surprise allows Luke to push it off and send it stumbling back.
Luke: Eat this!
The human witch-in-training tosses the iced up Rebellion and summons his Glyph Guns, the jewels glowing turqoise as the Ice Glyph has been embedded on them. He fires a rapid barrage of ice shots, freezing all the Slitherbeasts legs. It writhes and struggles to escape.
Luke: Now I've gotcha! Happy landing pal!
Luke steps on a huge ice glyph drawn into the snow which the Slitherbeast has fallen on. He ducks away from the rising pillar of ice as it launches the Slitherbeast into the air, it lands hard on its back. Luke rolls out from the ice pillar, dismissing his guns as the Slitherbeast got back up despite the agony it was in.
Luke: Want some more, huh? For a mutt who lives in this demon winter wonderland you'd think you know how to chill out!
Luke charges the Slitherbeast which lunges with its claws only for Luke to leap up, catching Rebellion and flipping as he fell down, smashing his sword against the snow. The Slitherbeast yelps in terror when it's surrounded by a punch of icicles, almost impaling it and restraining it.
Amity's cheeks turn pink as she watches the pose Luke strike as he fights the Slitherbeast, amazed and flustered.
Amity: Wow. He's…amazing!
Luke held up his sword, gathering icy energy.
Luke: Since you won't cool off! Let me help you out! The icy energy reaches the tip. Freeze!
Luke thrusts his sword, unleashing a blast of sub-zero air that engulfs the Slitherbeast. It roars in dismay, becoming fully encased in a large block of ice, defeated and still surrounded in icicles. The Blights had their jaws agape in awe while Eda is full of pride. With a victorious grin Luke rests Rebellion on his shoulder.
Luke: Nailed it!
Blights: Whoa!
Emira: He froze a Slitherbeast in solid ice!
Edric: Man! Is there anything this kid can't do!
Eda: That's my boy!
Luke walks next to the frozen Slitherbeast, still resting Rebellion on his shoulder.
Luke: Now that's what I call way past cool. Rebellion reverts back to normal as he leans an elbow against the cube. Get it? Because he's frozen!
Luke laughs at his own joke. Amity covers her mouth and soon laughs too along with Edric and Emira. Eda groans in annoyance.
Eda: We get it! Enough with the ice puns.
Luke ran up to his teacher as he retracts Rebellion.
Luke: Eda, I did it! I learned my third spell! I made the connection!
Eda: I saw. She proudly ruffles Luke's hair. Nice work, kiddo.
Edric and Emira are equally proud of Amity.
Emira: You showed some real bravery in there, sis.
Edric: Yeah, nice work, kiddo.
Edric ruffles Amity's hair, much to her annoyance.
Amity: Grr, stop!
Amity shoves him off, fixes her hair and approaches Luke, happily taking his hands.
Amity: Luke! That was amazing! You're amazing! I can't believe you took down a Slitherbeast so easily!
Luke: Meh. No biggie.
Edric: How'd you learn that ice spell man. That was wicked!
Emira: Yeah! You were so cool!
Luke: Luke smiles at Eda. A wise mentor taught me to make a connection with the isles, really speak to the Titan. I just needed to master the art of patience. As weird as he methods were, it all paid off.
Eda smiles proudly, seeing Luke finally understand the point of her lessons. Luke then looks back to Amity.
Luke: Anyway, you were pretty brave back their Ams. Knew you were too cool to need a training wand to master a new spell.
Amity: Oh…uh…thanks. She double takes. Wait, "Ams"?
Luke: Yeah. Ams. Short for Amity.
Amity: Huh. That's…a nice nickname. I actually like it.
Amity realizes how long she's held Luke's hand and she quickly retracts, blushing and chuckling in embarrassment while Luke is confused.
Amity: It looks like we'll be in the same class, after all.
Luke: Luke is excited. Azure Book Club? Come on, you know you want it.
Amity: Amity blushes and whispers. As long as it's a secret club, okay?
Edric: It's not a secret!
Emira: We're gonna tell everyone!
Amity sighs disappointedly. She probably should've seen that coming.
Luke: Hey. Luke rubs the back of his head. Thanks for…saying all that stuff before in the snow pit. I really needed to hear that.
Amity: Amity sheepishly smiles back, rubbing her arm. Oh, don't mention it. I'm just glad I was able to cheer you up. After all… we're friends right.
Luke smiles to hear Amity finally say that.
Luke: Yeah, we are.
Amity: Also…thank you… for what you said to me earlier. I can't say I fully understand all of it, but… I hope to… someday.
Luke: I'm sure you will, Ams.
Luke gives Amity a wink and she sheepishly turns red which the twins notice.
Edric: I think Mittens has just found a crush.
Emira: Oooh!
Eda sneezes between Luke and Amity, making them jump and ruining the moment.]
Eda: Alright, your adorable banter is literally making me sick. Let's go home already.
Luke: On it, teach!
Luke draws another ice glyph but just as he was about to activate it, her remembers something.
Luke: Oh. Almost forgot one more thing. Hey. Ed? Em?
Twins: Yeah?
Luke: Thinks fast!
Luke brought out two snowballs and throws them into Edric and Emira's face, causing Amity to cover her mouth in attempt to surpress her laughter. Luke raises his fists triumphantly.
Luke: Ha! Snowball champion!
Before the twins could even respond he activates the Ice Glyph. A diagonal pillar of ice sends Luke and Eda flying through the air where they scream with joy.
Amity: He is so cool.
Edric and Emira give their little sister teasing grins.
Emira: Better be careful sis. That human took out a Slitherbeast like it was nothing.
Edric: If he keeps this up, you're gonna have some serious competition for top student.
Amity: You know, since it's Luke… She smiles in the air where Luke and Eda flew off. I'm honestly not bothered by that idea anymore. There's…something pure about him that makes me admire him.
The twins teasing grins widen upon hearing the word "admire" be used.
Emira: So…are you going to tell us about you and Luke?
Edric: Amity meekly yelps, flustered. Or are we going to have to keep teasing you until you do.
Annoyed, Amity glares and deadpans.
Amity: I have no idea what you're talking about.
The twins chuckle at this, deciding to let their sister to continue being in denial.
Emira: Anyway. I think we can go home the normal way.
Edric: Edric is dismayed. But we can't go! I never got my bat!
"Bat" echoes through air only for them to hear "wombat" midway much to the Blights' confusion.
Edric: Huh. That's weird. Guess my echo must be broken.
We go back to the Owl House, where stuffing is raining down in the messed-up Living after Hooty literally tore apart the live stuffed animals. King is back in the Owl House, impressed with Hooty's work.
King: Private Hooty, today when the felt flew you showed grit and determination that were instrumental in securing our victory. May I just say, it has been an honour, to be your commander.
The two demons share a hug.
Hooty: Sir, the honour is all mine.
King: Private, our hearts have been touched by fire, and—
Eda: Ahem!
Luke and Eda are stood at the door seeing the mess that has been made.
Eda: What the heck did you two get into?
Luke: And why has a body been drawn on the door?
King: Um, excuse me? We're having a moment here!
Hooty: You'll never understand what we've been through together! Never! Never!
King: King walks away. Ugh, moment ruined.
Hooty: I will be haunted by my actions forever. Hoot hoot!
Luke has nailed his third spell! Now he's learned the required spells to get into decent classes at Hexside! And as a bonus, he's learned to connect with the Boiling Isles and he and Amity are now officially friends! And sooner or later, they'll become much more
Up next, after passing his placement exam, Luke finally begins his first day at Hexside, complete with some mishaps and a ravenous monster threatening to suck the entire student body dry of its magic. Can Luke and his newly met fellow troublemakers save everyone?
