Owl House Season 1 Episode 15 – Understanding Willow

Yo! Here's the next episode where we get a good understanding of Willow! Also, check out my new Deviantart artwork, Rebellion in its Awakened form and all its Glyph forms that have been unlocked so far. Hope you like them.

Enjoy!

In the hallways of Hexside, Amity and Boscha are leaning against their lockers. Boscha is magically changing her nails and Amity is reading.

Boscha: Boscha stars out with tentacles. Too wiggly. Miniature flames. Too obvious. She stops on Talons. Now we're talkin'! I think today is a talons day-rawr!

Skara: Skara walks up to them. Hey, girls! Time to bug out at my birthday party!

She holds up an invite which unrolls in the shape of a red butterfly. Its wings read "SKARA'S 15th".

Skara: Invite only, but you witches are my VIPs!

Amity: Are these made of real insect wings?

Skara: My dad spared no expense! You only turn 15 once!

Boscha: You only turn every age once, Skara.

Luke: Prepare thyself to do battle like a human!

Sure enough, Luke is engaging in a thumb war with Willow; both have drawn faces on their thumbs.

Luke: Thumb war! Woo-hoo!

They laugh as they try to pin each other's thumbs down.

Willow: It's funny 'cause it's stupid!

Boscha and Skara can't help but glare at Luke, the former still wondering how she was beaten so easily by a kid like this, especially when he has no magic. And now, one moment this guy is a smart mouth badass and now he's a total goofball.

Boscha: It's so weird that a human goes here now.

Skara: What's more, he's a real jerk. a total show-off. And a snarky smart mouth. And I call his win against you and Amity a fluke.

Boscha: I know. So annoying.

Skara: By the way, Boscha, you're not still mad about losing to him before, are you?

Boscha: Me. Nah, not anymore. Like you just said, he got lucky, that's all. Though, I won't deny, magic or not that human boy does have a little skill. Too bad he's already burned his social life at the stake, otherwise he'd have my respect. Any friend of Willow's is an automatic dork.

Amity: Didn't he make a comeback for that when you first met him in person before our moonlight conjuring.

Boscha: I don't wanna talk about that! Clearly, Boscha was still embarrassed about being verbally roasted that. To her disgust her invite begins molting. Ugh! Skara! Why did you give me an invite that was molting? Gross! Give me another one.

Boscha throws the invite on the floor. Two younger kids see it.

Kid 1: An invitation to Skara's party!

The two kids start fighting over the invite and one of the teachers arrive, delighted to see it.

Teacher-1: Oh. Kid fight!

Other teachers arrive to watch the fight.

Teacher-2: Kid fight?

Detention Teacher: Kid fight!

Owl House Intro Music

As the portal gate opens and the camera zooms in on it. Luke opens his eyes to see his falling down, causing him to freak out before something zoomed past and caught him. Luke saw he was saved by Eda along with King, who smirked at the human boy as they flew to her house on her Palisman staff with Luke raising his fist in excitement.

The door where Hooty was opened as Luke steps outside now wearing goggles, twirling his Rebellion sword and struck a pose, aiming his Glyph Gun at the screen. Eda came out with her staff, sharing a grin with Luke. King popped up in front of them in a pose.

A Boiling Isle mural appears, three windows flipping to briefly reveal Gus, Willow, and Amity striking their own poses before burning away to show King commanding an army of stuffed toys, which all fall on him.

Luke rode on Eda's staff like a surfboard, zooming past Bonesborough, flying past Tinella Nosa, sharing a high-five with Gus, Willow being beside him with a plan releasing vines and evading guards that chase him down. Eda and King join in on the fun and they have blast taking to the skies…until they hang on for dear life as a massive monstrous worm-like monster, mouth wide open, lunges at them as they scream in horror.

Then the scene changes back to the Owl House, where it's night-time, and stars twinkle in the sky as the trio are on the roof and looking up into the sky, Eda holding her staff beside her, Luke holding Rebellion downward and King riding his shoulder. Luke opens a hand, sending a ball of light floating into the sky where it bursts to release a blinding flash.

The title card appears:

Owl House

Outside the school, the students were in combat practice and Luke and Willow were paired up much to their delight as they look forward to seeing what the other's got. Principal Bump and the students watch as the two friends prepare to fight, epically stood on the field ready fight, the wind brushing past their hair. The two share serious looks.

Willow: Don't hold back on me, Luke.

Luke: No holding back here. Show me what you got, Whomping Willow.

Willow: With pleasure.

Willow traces a spell circle, smacking it to the ground to summon her plant monster from the ground.

Luke responds by swinging Rebellion open and getting into a fighting stance with it.

The monster launches itself at Luke but he easily cuts it in two right down the middle. Luke charges, prompting Willow to form two circles and summons 5 plant monsters surrounding Luke.

One lunges and he cuts it in half, another sends out vines at Luke, but he ducks and rushes forth, destroying it with a stab attack. The remaining three launch their vines but Luke side flips to the left then flips up to dodge all of them, stomping on one of the vines and yanking a plant in to slice in two. The other two burrow in the ground, one emerges to slice Luke from behind only for him to hold his sword behind, blocking without looking and the delivering a back kick to send the monster skidding back. The last one emerges int front only for Luke to stab it and with a swing he tosses it into its friend, summoning a Glyph Gun to send out 4 shots, killing them both. Luke spun his gun, facing and aiming at an undeterred Willow who still brims with determination.

Luke: Come on, Wil, you can do better than that.

Willow: I'm just getting warmed up. Watch this!

Willow summons vines that raise her into the air and she thrusts her arms forward, sending more vines hurtling towards. Luke flips back to dodge a set of two. More sets of two fly towards him and he quickly ran backwards, barely dodging them. When he flips back to avoid the last set, he ran up the vines towards Willow in the air and leapt up, diving towards his friend to slash but she quickly summons a vine from below, smacking Luke and sending him flying. He quickly recovers, landing on his feet and skidding back on the ground, giving Willow a grin.

Luke: Yeah! That's more like it!

Willow: Wait 'till you see this!

Willow drops down on the ground, forming two spell circles and bringing them together. She separates her hands and forming on them were a pair of metal gauntlets decorated with vines and a green flower (1). They glow with a green aura as Willow held them out in a fighting stance. Luke whistles, impressed.

Luke: Cool. Looks like I'm not the only the only with magical weapons.

Luke held his sword backhand, gathering up electrical energy.

Willow: Not anymore. I've got my own ones now. Watch what I can do with them.

Willow traces a spell circle and slams it onto the ground, summoning a muscular tree from the ground, heading straight for Luke who releases an electric induced energy blade. The two collide, creating an explosion. Willow stood still, ready and waiting for Luke to make his move. The human boy bursts out from the smoke for stab attack, prompting Willow to bring up her arm, stopping the Stinger attack with one of her gauntlets, the impact creating a resonation that forces the students to shield themselves.

Luke finds himself unable to break through Willow's guard, the two of them sharing a grin.

Luke: Not bad, Wil. You saw my attack coming, didn't you?

Willow: I've been practicing.

Willow grabs Rebellion and tosses Luke over her shoulder. Once again Luke recovers and slides across the ground. He looks to see Willow use her gauntlet to form a fist made of vines and launches it at Luke. He quickly slices the fist in half right down the middle and the two halves fly right past him.

Luke then looks up to see Willow drop down from the air to deliver a kick (her leg enveloped in green aura) which he parries. Willow got on her hand to deliver another kick and Luke barely blocks this before slashing, prompting the plant witch to cartwheel back. Luke came up to slice and Willow quickly blocks by crossing her arms, pushing Luke back with her gauntlet before moving in to throw four punches that Luke dodges and deflects, getting some distance between them and into a middle stance with his sword with a serious look at the sight of Willow's surprising strength and acrobatics.

Luke: Whoa. And these guys used to call her Half-A-Witch.

Luke and Willow lunge, exchange strikes and when Willow throws a strong punch, the goggle-headed boy blocks, holding her back. Their weapons shake and grind as they push and grit their teeth. Eventually, Willow pushes Rebellion aside and delivers a strike with her other fist to the stomach, sending Luke flying.

The human boy recovers once more, landing and skidding across the ground. He fans out his 4 Glyphs: Light, Fire, Ice and Electric, activating and tosses them, forming into fireballs, icicles, electric blast and light orbs. Willow punches the fireball, icicle and light orb, cancelling them out. She crosses her gauntlets to block the electric blast and cancels it out too.

Luke recoils, surprised as Willow smirks.

Willow: Running out of tricks Luke?

Luke: Luke remains confident. No way, Jose. He brought out another paper from his cowl. I've got a new trick up my sleeve I've been dying to test out.

Willow summons 10 vines and launches them at Luke who activates his Glyph and smacks it to the ground. A huge bubble is formed in front of Luke capturing and stopping the vines, causing Willow and the entire crowd to gasp in disbelief.

Luke: Surprise!

A geyser of water bursts from the Glyph sending the bubble up, raising the vines as well. Luke leapt up and lands on one of the vines, grinding down on it towards Willow.

Luke: WOOOO-HOOOO!

He leapt off, falling down with Rebellion brought up. Willow crosses her gauntlets to block and Luke strikes, the force from his swing was enough to make Willow cry out and lose her guard, stumbling back. When he lands, Luke ran up to Willow and before she could react, he delivers a right hook to the face, sending Willow screaming. She lands hard on her back with a grunt, knocked out and defeated. Luke has won.

Principal Bump: And Luke wins this duel!

Luke walks up to Willow as she sat up rubbing her cheek, then sees him offering his hand, Rebellion put away. The Plant Witch smiles gratefully, taking Luke's hand and he helps her up. The two share a smile and Luke held up Willow's hand as they both wave to their audience.

The other students and Principal Bump give a round of applause at the good fight, the even better performance and the display of sportsmanship. Bump nods, pleased to see how Luke and Willow are coming along, feeling he's made the right choice in switching Willow to the Plant Track and allowing Luke to attend Hexside.

After combat practice, the students were getting ready for their next classes. Luke and Willow are stood by the former's locker where they talk and prepare for the upcoming photo class.

Willow: That was a good match back there, Luke.

Luke: Same here. You almost got me, Willow.

Willow: Until you casted that water spell. How did you do that?

Luke: How'd you think? I found a new glyph.

Luke holds up a paper presenting his new Glyph, the Water Glyph. It consists of a small circle, triangle and dot forming a rain drop right above two right-angle triangles that form a sort of mouth. (2)

Willow: Willow leans in, fascinated. Ooh! When did you learn that?

Luke: Just yesterday. I was on another potion delivery for Eda like I do every week.

(Flashback)

We go back to yesterday where Luke is rushing along the market through the boiling rain, holding a sack over his shoulder and his hood up as he pants rapidly.

Luke: Unfortunately, no one gives weather reports on the Boiling Isles, because boiling rain poured down out of nowhere and I had to find somewhere to take shelter until it died down.

All the demons close up their stores in trepidation while Luke is getting singed by the rain, some burning his skin.

Luke: Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! OW! Gotta hide! Gotta find shelter!

Eventually Luke found his shelter, reaching the forest in time to hide under some trees. Luke is laid on his chest a little bruised and burnt but fine.

Luke: That…was a close one. Think I'll just hang here until the rain goes.

Luke sat up, leaning against the tree, watching the rain pour with a blank look. He looks to see some flowers unaffected by the rain.

Luke: How is Boiling Rain boils me alive while leaving nature unscathed.

He hears dripping that catches his attention. He looks down to see a puddle of water in front of him but what catches his eyes was a faint glyph in the puddle. The Water Glyph. Luke gasps in surprise.

Luke: Another Glyph!

Luke quickly got out his notepad and begins drawing the new Glyph into his notepad. When he finishes, he taps the paper and it glows blue, the paper scrunching up and turning into an orb of water much to Luke's delight!

Luke: Cool! Water magic!

(End of Flashback)

We go back to the present where Luke has finished telling his story, leaning against the lockers resting has hands behind his back.

Luke: And that's pretty much it.

Willow: I can't believe you found a new Glyph in a puddle of water from the Boiling Rain! That's so amazing!

Luke: I know, right? It's like nature loves me! Like the Titan himself is trying to help me learn. That making a connection with the Isles stuff that Eda taught has been really helping out.

Willow: Well, anyway, congratulations Luke. Now you have 5 Glyph spells. That's really amazing.

Luke: Thanks, Wil. But enough about me. He crosses his arms. Tell me, where did you get those sick gauntlets!

Willow: After seeing your witch's duel with Amity in the Covention I was really inspired. I wanted to be a fighter too, so I brought these gauntlets from the night market. The merchant told me it's compatible with plant magic so I casted some spells on them and used some potions and it became that. They power-up my plant magic and increase my strength and durability. I've been doing a lot of workouts… She sly smirks, bringing up an arm and slowly pulling back her sleeve. Especially, lifting, as you can see.

She fully pulls her sleeve back and with a pained grunt she reveals her arm to be VERY muscular, flexing her huge, toned bicep, causing Luke to whistle in surprise as he walks over for a closer look.

Luke: Ay Caramba! You don't miss an arm day, do you Whomping Willow.

Willow giggles, relaxing her arm and putting her sleeve back on.

Willow: I just love working out. Plus, I've spent time trying to learn your human fighting techniques.

Luke: That's pretty cool, Willow. I'm impressed. Those gauntlets caught me off-guard. If I didn't have my Water Spell, I might've actually lost that match. You know, if you want, I can teach you some of my martial arts technique.

Willow: Really!? You'd do that.

Luke: Duh! Of course, I would. We're best friends!

Willow: Aww! Thanks, Luke.

Luke: Little tip. He holds Willow's shoulder. When fighting with those gauntlets don't attack blindly. Stay focused and try to sense out a rhythm in your opponent's fighting style so you can find an opening.

Willow: Is that how you beat Amity and Boscha?

Luke: Pretty much. I don't mean to brag, but… He sniffs, brushing a finger across his nose. Nothin' but skills.

Willow: Willow giggles at Luke's showing off. You show-off.

Luke: Luke brushes his hair back. It's part of my charm. Anyway, I'm stoked for photo class, even more so since you and I are partnered up! I can't believe you can make pictures of your actual memories! He tickles his locker open. Finally, a legal way to violate people's privacy.

Willow: I wonder what you looked like as a baby, Luke. I bet you were adorable!

Luke: Luke rubs the back of his head. I doubt I could've been as cute as you were as a baby.

Willow: I'll admit, I was adorable myself.

Luke tries to take a book out of his locker, but it bites down on it.

Luke: Hey, what the hell!? That's my book, dude!?

Luke tries yanking his book out only to fall on his back. The locker eats his book and hisses. Just as Luke stood back up, Amity, Bosha and Skara walk down the hallway, the latter two insulting Willow.

Boscha: I can't believe he'd even hang out with her! It's just embarrassing. "Oh, look at me! I'm going on a date with my ferns!"

Skara laughs as she, Boscha, and Amity pass Luke and Willow. Hearing Boscha's mockery makes Willow slump. Luke holds her shoulder.

Luke: That could be anyone.

Skara: Solid Willow impression, Boscha!

Luke: Oh, come on! Seriously!?

Skara: Amity, weren't you friends with Willow?

The three of them stop in their tracks, Boscha is surprised since she never heard that. Amity side-eyes Skara, not wanting to talk about that.

Amity: I'm a Blight. We only associate with a select few. Keep annoying me though, I'm happy to select fewer.

She walks off and the other two follow.

Skara: Oh, I coulda sworn that you guys hung out.

Willow sighs and slumps further in depression and Luke growls angrily. He gets out his notepad, writing something down on two papers.

Willow: What are you doing?

Luke: Cheering you up. He tickles his locker open again and takes out a megaphone. Time to take this triclops down a peg or two.

Luke sneaks up to Amity's group. Amity turns her head to see Luke and he motions her to stay quiet. She smiles, deciding to let Luke have his fun. The human boy sticks two "KICK ME" signs to Boscha and Skara. Luke speaks through his megaphone.

Luke: STUDENTS OF HEXSIDE!

Luke's loud voice causes Amity's group to yelp in surprise as dozens of other students pop by.

Luke: Boscha and Skara want you to kick them!

Student 1: They do!?

Boscha & Skara: WHAT!?

Skara: What do you mean!?

Boscha: No, we don't!

Luke: Yes, you do, look!

Luke walks over and turns them around to reveal his 'KICK ME' signs.

Luke: These signs read 'Kick me'! That clearly means Boscha and Skara want you to kick them for some reason! And who are we to turn down a sign request, so go nuts!

The students all exchange words of agreement, showcasing their naivety.

Student 2: Well, if Boscha wants us to kick her, I'm cool with it.

Student 3: I guess if that's what they want.

The students all approach Boscha and Skara who recoil in fear.

Boscha: No, wait! He's lying! I'd never want someone to kick ME!

Nothing could save Boscha and Skara as a couple of younger students kick their knees, causing them to shout and drop down on the floor. Soon, dozens of students were kicking Boscha and Skara and they were comically screaming and crying out for help.

Luke went back to Willow and the two were laughing hysterically, Willow hugging onto Luke and the human boy holding his forehead. Amity covers her mouth, trying to hold in her own laughter.

Skara: I HATE THIS!

Boscha: HUUUMAAANNN!

Scenes shift to a darkroom-like classroom with students sitting in front of undeveloped photos, after Boscha's humiliation. Luke had a pair of tweezers, ready to take out another one of Willow's memories.

Luke: Alright, memory melon, let's pick another juicy one!

Willow: Be careful with my brain!

Luke pulls a photo out of Willow's ear with the tweezers.

Luke: Ha! Who says brain surgery is hard?

Willow rubs her ear as Luke puts the empty photo on a wire. The Photo Teachers walks up to them.

Photo Teacher: As you work, note that some prints have greater clarity than others. These are moments that invoke strong emotional response.

Luke: Way past cool. Emotions are like the colours of a rainbow.

Luke goes to touch the photo. A big blue hand that has "HALT" on it stops her.

Photo Teacher: But, if you damage the prints, you'll damage the memories themselves! Be extremely careful.

The teacher ominously walks away, leaving Luke disturbed.

Luke: Yeesh. Magic photo class is intense.

One photo develops, showing Willow on a chair, blushing a bit, with a band-aid on her cheek and with wavy and poofy hair.

Luke: Whoa! Looks like someone had an awkward hair phase, huh, Willow. Not that, that's a bad thing, of course. The rest of the photos develop: Ooo, there's more! Please, let one of them be a dark secret.

Willow: Luke!

The memories are as follows:

Willow being pushed on a swing by her dads.

Willow feeding a spider demon.

Willow and her dads at what looks like a winter holiday

And the most shocking memory of all, Amity hugging Willow at a birthday party during their younger days.

Willow groans, turning away with crossed arms from the memory she wants to forget most: her former friendship with Amity. Luke places a hand on her should, placing another in his pocket.

Luke: Hey, I know you and Amity have a history. Wouldn't you feel better talking about it?

Willow: No, I'd rather do this. Willow flips the photo around. That's my motto, after all! "Out of sight, out of mind."

Luke: Look, Willow, as much as it's not in my place to pry in other's personal matters don't you think you should try and patch things up with Amity? You know, try be friends with her again?

Willow: No way! How could you suggest that? Amity's nothing but a bully now.

Luke: I thought that too, until I got to know her. Amity's not that bad. I've seen her reading books to kids with a smile, she encouraged me when I was struggling to learn my 3rd spell, the two of us are even friends now. You've seen that.

Willow: Well, that's good for you but, I don't want anything to do with her.

Luke: But, wasn't the point of that Moonlight Conjuring for you to show Amity how powerful you are so you could be friends again.

Willow: Yeah. But now I know that's a lost cause now. The Amity I knew is long gone.

Luke: I don't think Amity meant to end her friendship with you, however she did it. She told me how she regrets doing that.

Willow: Willow turns with a sad look. Even if that's the case, I can't exactly forget all the years Amity's spent picking on me. It's because of her, everyone calls me "Half-a-witch-Willow".

The bell screams and rings. Students begin leaving. Just as Willow was about to leave Luke stops her again.

Luke: Come on, amiga, open up to me. How am I supposed to come up with a sinister scheme to make you two friends again if you won't tell me what she said or did?

Willow: Luke, I appreciate it, but I don't want you to do that. No schemes, no plots, no ruses, none! Especially, sinister ones. Okay? Now, let's get to lunch!

Willow takes her leave. Luke looks at the photo and walks up to it with a mischievous look.

Luke: Fine. No schemes, plots or ruses. But…she never did mention anything about... shenanigans.

Luke turns the photo back around before following Willow out the classroom as Boscha and Amity come from the opposite direction.

Luke: Wait up!

Amity and Boscha are walking past the photo room, the former covered in band aids; furious over Luke pranking her the way he did.

Boscha: UGH! I. HATE. THAT. HUMAN! SO MUCH! I swear! I'll make him pay for this! No one pranks me like that and gets away with it! Only I should prank someone like that and get away with it!

As they pass photo class, Amity stops when something caught her eye. She looks at Willow's memory photos, specifically the birthday party one, much to her horror as her former friendship with Willow is something she wants no one to know.

Amity: Oh no.

Boscha: Why do you look like you've seen a ghost? Is there a ghost in photo class? Are they cute?

Amity tries to block Boscha's view with her hand.

Amity: Yep, just a super cute ghost. But they're all mine!

She slams the door and runs in.

Boscha: Ask if they have any friends!

In panic, Amity runs over to the photos, taking out the one with her in it.

Amity: Willow, I'm sorry. But I have to do this.

Amity summons a small flame and burns her face off the photo. She blows on the embers to put it out, puts the photo back, and start to leave. What she fails is to notice is the flames starting to reignite. She stops at the door when she hears sizzling.

Amity: Huh? To her horror she turns to see the entire memory on fire. Oh, no. No, no, no, no!

She rushes to the photo and with no other options she blows it with her breath in hopes of putting the flames out but to her great dismay it spreads to Willow's other memory photo.

Amity: Oh, come on!

Meanwhile, the rest of the students are in the cafeteria. Gus is stood in front of a corkboard titled "WHO TO INTERVIEW". It has various pictures and writing on it. Luke appears from behind it with his lunch.

Luke: Yoh, detective. Are you solving a crime or about to commit one?

Gus: Gus looks stressed out. Sadly, this is one problem crime can't solve. My interview for journalism class is due tomorrow! I'm supposed to choose someone "interesting, accomplished, and noteworthy." People aren't meant to be all those things! Curse your need for perfection, Gus!

Luke: Okay buddy, okay. He gives Gus some apple blood to sip down before turning to Willow. So, Willow—whoa. Are you okay?

To Luke's great concern Willow is sweating profusely and looks completely out of it.

Willow: When did it get so hot?

Willow drinks water and exhales steam. She pours herself another cup, then just douses herself with the pitcher, releasing more steam. Gus sips at his apple blood, looking confused, while Luke looks gravely concerned. Steam comes out of Willow's ears as she cleans her glasses. When she puts them back on, her pupils dilate until her eyes are completely black.

Willow: Uhh…hi! I'm Willow! She held out her hand. Remind me of your names?

Gus: This is serious journalism, Willow. Clowning around will get you nowhere.

Willow: I'm—I'm serious! Who—who are you?

Gus: I'll admit, this amnesia spin has piqued my interest.

Luke: Gus, I don't think she's faking it. She really seems to have forgotten us. It's almost like her memory is— He gasps, realizing the source of the problems. Like her memory is gone! Oh crap!

Luke and Gus burst into photo class with Gus holding a notepad and pencil and Willow walking drunkenly behind them.

Gus: Hexside Free Press! What's going on here?

Luke gasps too see Willow's memory photos have set aflame and Amity is desperately trying to blow out the flames. She notices the others much to her great embarrassment.

Amity: ...Hi

Luke: Luke stomps forward. What the hell, Amity!? You set Willow's memories on fire!

Amity: I-I saved as many as I could!

She holds up the picture of Willow's awkward hair phase, another one behind it. An ember burns both to ash. Amity and Luke watch in horror as the ashes fall.

Amity: Ugh! Why would they make memories so flammable?!

Luke: What the hell were you thinking, woman!? Willow's gonna be suffering from permanent brain damage now! Why the hell would you burn her damn memories!

Amity: I'm so sorry! It was an accident! I was just attempting to burn a part of the photo with me in it! How was I supposed to know memories would be so flammable! But…it can't be that bad, right…?

They look to a drunk and mentally damaged Willow by the door, wiggling her fingers.

Willow: Have I always had this crazy thing? She slaps herself gently. Blap, blap! She walks to Amity and Luke and puts her arms around their shoulders, giggling. I can tell we're gonna be good friends!

Luke: She falls to the floor. And…she's officially broken.

We now go to the Owl House where Luke and Gus have brought Willow to Eda for treatment. Amity is nervous to be in Luke's home for the first time.

Amity: So, this is the Owl House.

Luke: Yup.

Amity: And you... sleep here?

Luke: When the night critters leave me alone.

Eda: So, let me see if I got this right Luke, you set Willow's memories on fire and erased everything.

Luke: For once this wasn't my fault. I didn't set Willow's memories on fire; it was this idiot here.

Luke gestures to a sheepish Amity and Eda narrows her eyes at her.

Amity: I didn't mean to! I saw a photo with me in it when we were little. I couldn't let anyone see it, so I tried to burn just my face off it!

Luke widens his eyes, realizing this was partially his fault since he turned that photo back around.

Luke: Oh boy…

Amity: I turn around for a second and then all of a sudden, all her memories are on fire. And everything I did only made it worse.

Eda: Wow, I expect this sort of dumb thing from Luke…

Luke: Hey!

Eda: But I certainly didn't see it coming from you. Even minor damage can have huge effects!

A broken Willow walks into the couch where King is sleeping.

Willow: Ahh, a chair for sitting!

Willow flops face front onto the couch, does a handstand while trying to sit, and then flops upside down.

Eda: Yep, her brain's burned up real good. Damage like that can change everything about a person. Willow may never be the same.

Willow finally gets the sitting position right.

Willow: I got it! She picks up King. Ooh, a furry fruit! I'm gonna peel it!

King: What? Willow grabs his skin and prepares to peel. King tries to escape. What is happening?!

Eda: Nap time.

Eda casts a spell, putting Willow to sleep, releasing King in the process.

King: Sleep spell...

King yawns and goes to sleep.

Eda: I didn't cast it on you.

King: Yeah, who cares?

Luke: We can't leave Willow like this! Can she be cured?

Eda: There is one way, but it's terribly dangerous and partially illegal-

Luke: So…we're in the right place.

Eda: So, you're in the right place! Her face drops immediately. Wow, that doesn't sound as cool when someone else says it first. Way to steal my thunder kiddo.

Luke: Luke shrugs. Habit of mine forming. Sorry, not sorry.

Eda: Anyway, I'll send you into her mind to fix the damage.

Luke: Luke becomes incredibly excited. Seriously! I'm going to go inside someone's mind and peek at their deepest secrets!? I've always wanted to do that! I mean, it took one of my friends to get their brain burnt up. But I'll take what I can get. I love you Boiling Isles!

Eda: It won't be easy. You have a lot to fix in there, 'cause it's a mess! Yep, whoever did this to Willow showed unbelievable disregard for her safety, downright despicable.

Amity looks away guilty, ashamed of her total disregard for Willow's safety as Eda had just described. The Owl Lady looks to Amity/

Eda: Oh, right, it was you. She looks back to Luke. Anyways, Luke, who's going inside with you?

Hooty: The door opens, causing Eda to deadpan. Maybe I can help! I'm pretty good at getting stuck inside people's heads!

Eda: This is someone's brain, not a night club! She spins a spell circle, the door closes. Two max.

Luke: I'd take Gus, but…

Luke looks at Gus, who is pacing in front of his corkboard with a ton of stress plaguing his mind.

Gus: I'm running out of time. Ugh. I'm in total free fall! He looks to his pile of books, specifically one on 'Raisng the dead'. Must I turn to forbidden sources?

The books growl and he falls on his back. Unfortunately, for Luke, Gus is useless in his current state of mind.

Luke: He…has a lot on his plate. Amity, you have to go with me.

Amity: Amity hesitates. Willow might not want me in there.

Luke: Luke chuckles, looking to Eda. Aw, that's cute. She thinks she has a choice. He looks back to Amity with a glare. In case you forgot Blight…you set everything in there on fire! You have to help.

Eda: Oh, so it's only okay when you do it.

Luke: Not now, E. Accident or not, it's your responsibility to set things right, Ams.

Amity looks at Luke and thinks for a second. He was right, this was Amity's doing so it's her responsibility to fix her mistake and Willow's memories. She sighs in acceptance.

Amity: Okay, I'll do what I can.

Luke holds his hand out to Amity. She hesitantly takes it.

Eda: Alright! Bold choice, taking your girlfriend who caused the mess.

Luke and Amity comically recoil, turning red with sheer embarrassment.

Luke & Amity: SHE'S/I'M NOT MY/HIS GIRLFRIEND!

They share a look, sperate hands and look away with a blush as Eda shifts here eyes between the pair with a smirk.

Eda: Mm-hm. You two keep telling yourselves that.

She draws a spell circle around them and summons a bell which Luke takes.

Luke: A bell?

Eda: When you're done, ring that and I'll cast you back—Oh, and keep an eye out for her "Inner Willow." She's the gatekeeper of emotions and memory. She might help ya. Now don't take too long in there. No smooching you two.

She laughs and snorts in front of the teens who go red with embarrassment. An irritated Luke bashes Eda's head with the bell.

Eda: OWWW!

Eda clutches her head in pain, the duo still red and giving annoyed glares.

Luke: Shut up! Just send us in there!

Eda: Alright! Jeez! You make a joke, we all laugh. I make a joke and suddenly, you have no sense of humour.

Eda lifts her hand. The spell circle around Luke and Amity produces a light that encases them as they continue holding hands.

Eda: Now, here we go!

When Eda throws up her hands, Luke and Amity disappear into the yellow light of the spell.

Amity: Whoa!

Luke: Woo-hoo!

Eda directs them into Willow, still fast asleep.

The duo end up in a black void inside Willow's mind, where Luke and Amity land, the former raising his fists triumphantly.

Luke: And he sticks the landing! Nailed it! They look around the void. So…this is Willow's mind?

Amity: I…think so.

Luke: Huh. Not really what you'd expect from someone who has a thing for plants. What, is her mind burned so bad, that everything has been reduced to dark nothingness?
Amity: Amity narrows her eyes, a little bemused. I can never tell if you are either joking or serious. There is no in-between with you.

A blinding light bursts forth, forcing Luke and Amity to shield their eyes. When the light dims, they're standing in a forest, each tree grown around a dark picture frame and the skies were quite blank and cloudy. Luke and Amity look around and start walking.

Luke: Okay, I stand corrected. This is definitely our Whomping Willow's brain.

Amity: Where's her Inner Willow? Do you really think it'll help?

Luke: I don't know. We'll just have to start fixing stuff on our own. Maybe the Inner Willow will respond to that. Hmm, now let's see…

Luke notices one of the trees are grey and walks up to it. He blows dust off a frame and coughs. When it clears, he sees picture of a wooden fort on a beach. Luke touches it with his hand, which goes through the picture.

Luke: Sweet. He pokes it a couple more times. Hey, I found something magical. Should I put my face in it? Luke stares at if for a couple seconds. I'm just gonna put my face in it!

He laughs as he slowly goes in face first until he completely disappears. Amity walks in front of the frame, looking for him.

Amity: Luke? Luke!

Luke: Luke sticks his head out the frame. BOO!

Amity: Amity recoils, startled. Ah! Don't do that!

Luke: Heh. Sorry. Couldn't resist. But I think I found the memories. These pictures must be portals into them. Let's go!

Amity shouts as Luke grabs her and drags her into the memory.

Luke and Amity fall through the opposite side of the picture.

Luke: Woo!

Amity: Ah!

They land face first. Both lift their heads up.

Luke: And welcome to Willow's beautiful... memory?

The memory is in grayscale and burning. They're at a grassy beach with a dock and sign that reads "LAKE LACUNA".

Luke: Okay…this is really depressing. What is this place anyway?

Amity: Lake Lacuna! This is where Willow and I took swimming lessons! The ash must be from the fires. She gasps when she spots the wooden fort. Our fort! In the dunes!

They run up to the fort. Amity starts taking things off of it, cleaning it up.

Amity: One time Willow wanted to play hooky from our swim lessons, so we built this!

Amity shoves a plank in Luke's hands.

Luke: You and Willow playing hooky? Aww, that's cute. I didn't even know Willow had such a rebellious side. I knew we were meant to be friends.

Amity: Amity moves more wood and dirt out of the way. We knew the swim teacher would be on the prowl, but Willow said she'd protect us with an illusion spell.

The duo stare at the fixed-up fort in pride, especially Amity.

Luke: Look at it. It's like a doghouse for angels!

Amity: Wait, something is missing.

Amity looks down. She swipes sand off a small flag reading "A+W". She smiles at it fondly before putting it in a small flowerpot tied to the top of the fort.

Amity: There.

The memory's colour returns and in a white flash of light Luke and Amity are back in the forest in front of the memory picture frame.

Amity: We're back!

Luke: I think fixing the fort fixed the memory!

The memory starts playing in colour, showing a young Amity and Willow laughing and entering the fort only for demon seagulls

Young Amity: Ugh! The seagulls are back again!

Young Willow: Don't worry, I'll get rid of them!

Young Willow casts a spell. But instead of getting rid of the seagulls, she gets rid of the fort. The seagulls attack them as the fort reappears and they cry out. Having heard and seen the commotion, the swim teacher spots Amity and Willow and drags them back to class.

Young Amity: Willow!

Young Willow: I'm sorry, I thought I was getting better!

The memory stops playing.

Luke: You never get in trouble, huh?

Amity: Amity rubs her arm in embarrassment. Okay, I'll admit, there may have been some occasions where I do. And back then…Willow was a…late bloomer.

Luke: Yeah, but now the late bloomer is in full bloom. Ha! Bloomer? Full Bloom? Get it! This time Amity deadpans. Because of her Plant magic?

Amity: Yeah, I got it. It just wasn't funny this time, gogglehead.

Luke: Ouch.

Amity: This one seemed a little force.

Luke: Hey, I gotta work with what you give me, Blight. Anyway, this place is like some kind of theatre showing her most important moments! So, let's fix some more! He runs up to the birthday party picture. The photo that started it all! Let's do this one next.

Amity visibly panics, not wanting face that memory yet. Luke starts to climb into the picture.

Amity: Wait! Luke stops and turns. Uh…you want important moments? She runs over and gestures to the awkward hair day picture. This one might be about a crush!

Luke: Hmm, meh, what the heck. Let's take a look.

They both climb in. A pink fiery foot, steps on the ground. Someone is following them.

(Timeskip)

Back in Demon Reality, Eda and King offer to help Gus with his interview by being the one he interviews, causing a competition to impress Gus.

(Montage)

Back in Willow's mind, Luke and Amity are making great progress fixing Willow's memories. After fixing the awkward hair phase memory, Luke and Amity begin fixing a memory of Willow with her two dads. They fix the swing sets, returning them to forest in a flash of light.

They see Willow and her dads playing on the swings. Willow laughs and one of them accidentally gets kicked which he just laughs off.

Next are memories with Amity who places a book back in library shelf. In another flash we see younger Willow and Amity reading 13+ romance novels only to be caught by the Librarian.

Luke and Amity are now in a carnival where they place back a sign reading "Roller Ghoster." In another flash of light, Young Amity waves for Willow to join her on the ride. Willow runs up and gets on. The moment she straps her seatbelt on the ride speeds off and everyone screams in joy.

Young Willow: I don't feel so good!

(End of Montage)

Luke turns the memory around, both not wanting to see the ending.

Luke: Okay…I don't think we need to see how this one ends.

Amity: Yeah, Willow threw up a lot that day. That's when you knew she was havin' fun.

Luke: Been there.

Amity looks downcast and ashamed.

Luke: Hey, you, okay, Ams?

Amity: Yeah, I just…I can't believe I almost erased all of this. I really messed things up.

Luke: Quit worrying about that. We've gotten really good at fixing memories, right? I'm not resting until we've got this all sorted out. Repeat after me: "We can fix this together!" Amity smiles sheepishly. Come on! You know you wanna say it.

Amity: Amity blushes. We can fix this together.

Luke: Hell yeah, we can! Look, Amity, I get some of these memories are pretty painful for you, but what happened to you guys? And why are you trying to hide it? You told me your parents forced you to end your friendship with Willow, but how? What was it you did?

Amity: I just...

Amity notices a large pink fire monster stepping out from behind a tree. She gasps and points in horror.

Amity: What's that?

Luke: Luke turns to see nothing. He deadpans at Amity and crosses his arms. Fine, I see how it is. If you don't want to talk about it, just say so.

Luke proceeds to walk to a different memory, one with Willow and Amity playing in a pit of eggs.

Amity: No, I actually saw something! At least I... I think I did.

Luke: Yeah, yeah, now if you excuse me, I'm just going to fix this memory of a ball pit.

Amity: Wait, that's not—

Luke: Luke enters only to immediately duck back out with an egg on his head. It's eggs! It's full of eggs! Why the hell is this memory full of eggs?!

Amity: Yeah, that one's hard to explain.

Amity proceeds to join in.

(Timeskip)

Eda and King compete over being interviewed by Gus only to be disturbed by Gus' dramatic ways.

Back in Willows mind, Luke and Amity have fixed up the egg pit memory. Luke is pulling an eggshell off his head.

Amity: We're getting pretty good at fixing these.

Luke: Luke pulls off and tosses the shell, taking in the air. Yeah. And there's only one last memory to fix! They look to the birthday party memory. The one you're suspiciously avoiding.

Amity: Me? Avoid? No. But let's skip it! Where's Eda's bell?

Amity runs at Luke to take the bell only for him to stop her with one hand on her face.

Luke: Nice try, but you're not getting off that easily, Blight. Quit being weird. You heard Eda, we have to fix all of them. Unless... there's something in there you don't want me to see. Amity crosses her arms defensively. Look, I'm not here to judge, I'm just here to help Willow.

Amity: Help? All you're doing is prying into your friends' lives!

They don't notice smoke drifting in.

Luke: Okay, I admit it seems like that but I'm really just trying to know more about your lives so I can help you.

Amity: Well, did you ever think maybe it's none of your business? She stops ranting, sniffing the smoke. Is something... burning?

Luke and Amity look in horror to see the forest has been set ablaze with pink flames destroying the memories they had just fixed.

Luke: Look!

The pink fire monster reappears and runs toward the two. Amity screams in horror.

Luke: Holy crap! What the hell is that thing!?

Amity: Hide, hide, hide!

Amity drags Luke behind the egg memory tree. To the duo it seemed like it was about to attack them but to their surprise it jumps into the photo instead. Luke and Amity come around to look at the photo as it reignites.

Luke: NO! That thing is burning up all the memories!

Amity: Please call Eda, I don't wanna be here when it comes out!

Luke grabs the bell and rings it.

Unfortunately, Eda and King are so caught up in their interview with Gus they're making their own loud noise with bells and kitchen tools which prevent them from hearing Luke and Amity's signal.

Back in Willow's mind, Amity is desperately ringing the bell louder than Luke did.

Amity: Why won't she answer?

Luke: Yeah... Eda's not exactly that reliable.

The flames behind them grow, completely engulfing the egg pit memory.

Luke: Run!

Amity screams as he and Luke run from the monster emerging from the memory. It then enters several other memories, proceeding to set them on fire.

Amity: Why is it destroying all the photos?

Luke: I don't know. He takes a look at the swing photo which unburned. That one hasn't been burned. He looks at the holiday photo. Or that one! To his shock the library one is burned, a one with Amity in it. Luke grabs her shoulders. Amity, that thing isn't after any photo. It's after you!

The monster turns and locks eyes with a shocked and horrified Amity.

Amity: What?

The monster roars, burns brighter and releases a blast of pink flames at Amity.

Luke: Look out!

Luke shoves Amity away and she hits the ground as he summons Rebellion to block the flames but is sent flying by the excessive force.

Amity: Luke!

Amity backs away from the monster as it ferociously stomps towards.

Amity: S-stay back! Stay away from me!

Amity stood up, panickily casting a spell circle and an Abomination rises from the ground. It charges towards the monster and grapples with it, only to melt under its intense heat. Amity continues stepping back in fear. Quickly she casts another spell that causes her Abomination goo to move and engulf the fire monster, encasing it in a ball of solid purple goo. Amity struggles to hold it in pace but she gasps in shock to see her trap melting. The fire monster releases a shockwave of purple flames that destroys the ball. It smashes its fist into the ground, and a larger one blasts out beneath Amity, sending her flying and screaming up the air. The monster then releases a flame blast that slams into the youngest Blight. She's sent screaming and crashing into a tree in pain. She drops on her face, bruised and groaning.

She looks up in fear to see the monster stood above her, preparing to crush her. Amity backs up against the tree cornered like an animal and sweating in fear. She tries to make a run for it only to trip when the monster stretches its arm to grab her ankle. She twists in fear to see it approach her.

Amity: No, please, NO! I don't want to die!

The monster proceeds to crush her and she shields her face, screaming in fear, but she's saved when a blast of light causes it to fall back, and Amity is released.

Luke: Hey!

Amity looks to see Luke stood on a tree branch holding his combined Glyph Gun, the shots having come from them and his face full of determination. He separates and spun his guns, taking aim.

Luke: Stay away from MY FRIEND!

Amity: Luke!

Luke switches out his guns for Rebellion and jumps down in front of Amity protectively, getting into a fighting stance.

Luke: You okay, Ams?

Amity: Amity blushes. Uh huh. She gasps and points. Look out!

The fire monster proceeds to attack Luke, prompting him to slash it with one hand. The monster catches the sword and Luke pushes back. He gets out and Ice Glyph and sticks it onto the monster, activating it. He pushes it off and slashes again, this time scoring a hit and sending it skidding back. The glyph activates the monster is encased in ice.

With that Luke held out his hand to Amity who just stares at him while he smiles kindly.

Luke: You okay, Ams?

Amity blushes at the sight of his kind smile, feeling something swelling within her. She slowly takes Luke hand and he helps her up.

Amity: Uh…yeah. Thank you, Luke.

The moment is disturbed when a crack is heard and they look to see the ice cube slowly cracking until the beast bursts out, shattering the ice with a mighty roar, prompting the duo to drop down, Luke wrapping an arm around Amity as they shield themselves. When the gust disappears, they stood back up to see the monster free from its icy prison, enraged. Luke remains determined and Amity fearful.

Amity: Uh…Luke, I think you made him mad.

Luke: Yeah, I've pissed it off, alright. He dismisses Rebellion and brought out 2 of his new Water Glyphs. Maybe this thing just needs to cool down. Time to really test these bad boys out.

The monster charges Luke and Amity.

Luke: Here's a little thing I call Aqua Tornado!

The human boy responds by slapping his two glyphs together and sending out 2 vortexes of water from his hands, that merge into one large vortex, engulfing the monster and sending it flying. Amity's mouth is agape in disbelief, then looks to a triumphant Luke.

Amity: You can use water spells now!

Luke: Yup! And when it's water vs fire, water always wins!

That statement is challenged when the monster emerges, the flames were shrunk for a bit but they burst, enlarging the beast back to regular size at it releases a vicious roar of rage.

Luke: …Or, not in this case.

Amity shakes Luke by his shoulders in panic.

Amity: What do we do!? Freezing that thing didn't work! Dousing it with a vortex of water didn't work! IT'S UNSTOPPABLE!

Luke shoves Amity off, tugs her by the collar and begins slapping her rapidly.

Amity: Ow! Ow! Ow!

Luke: Shut up already! He stops, giving a fierce look. We're not dead! And there's always a way out!

Luke releases her and walks forward, bringing out and opening Rebellion, resting it on his shoulder with a look of confidence.

Luke: So, my Water Glyphs alone didn't work. I just need to use more intense water to douse this walking barbecue. And what better way to do that than with this.

Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep – Unforgettable

Luke brought out a Water Glyph and slaps it onto Rebellion. An orb of water is absorbed into the sword, causing the Water Glyph to become embedded above the Fire Glyph. The glyph glows, causing the sword to glow a lighter blue. Rebellion swirls with liquid, engulfed and coated with a veil of water, transforming it into a blade of water.(3) Luke swung down his sword, ready to fight as the water coating it swirls while Amity stood there amazed.

Amity: You're gonna fight that thing head on?

Luke: Not like we've got any better options. I'm not gonna let this freak destroy my friend's mind! He looks to the monster. Yo, jackass! Didn't your mother ever teach you not to play with fire!

The monster growls in response. Seeing Luke so fearless, confident and courageous in the face of almost certain death inspires Amity to summon her own courage, bringing fire to her eyes as she ran up next to Luke. A jar of abomination goo appears on her waist as she forms spell circles, summoning the goo from the jar to form her Abomination Chakrams and getting into a fighting stance with them besides Luke much to his surprise.

Luke: Amity?

Amity: I'll fight with you.

Luke: You don't need to push yourself, Blight. I can handle this thing on my own!

Amity: Maybe you can, gogglehead. But we stand a better chance, working together! It's my fault this thing if here! It was created from my magic! I won't let it destroy Willow's mind anymore! I'm done running away! Besides… She gives Luke a smirk. I'd rather not be more indebted to you than I already am, human.

Luke: Luke smirks back. Hmph. There's the Amity Blight, I know. Alright, suit yourself! Let's beat this thing together!

Amity: Right!

The duo stood together as the monster approaches and roars. It stretches and launches it arms at both. Luke ran up blocking the arms with the water enveloped Rebellion, holding the arm back and allowing Amity to flip above, tossing her chakrams to slice the monster, causing to stagger and brings its arms back. Amity ran forward catching her Chakrams and lunging for a double slash. The monster catches her chakrams and stops Amity in her track but is left open for Luke to leap from above and deliver a slash to the chest. The monster roars out in pain from the water, staggering back.

Luke switches Rebellion for his Glyph Guns and the moment he thinks about the Water Glyph, it appears on the jewels, turning them cyan blue as they swirl with water. Luke fires high-pressured bubbles form his gun the douse the monster a little and make it stagger back. It quickly launches flames from its face, prompting Luke and Amity to jump back, the former firing rapid shots of bubbles from his guns the envelope the monster. It roars in pain as it blocks the shots only to star shrinking.

Luke: It's working! Keep up the pressure!

Amity: On it!

Amity lands first, slamming spell circles into the grass, summoning a tidal wave of Abomination goo that envelopes the monster's feet, immobilizing it. Luke takes the chance to run up to the monster, firing shots of water from one gun. The monster gets a little smaller and tosses a fireball from its hand, prompting Luke to leap up onto a tree branch. The monster summons hundreds of fireballs all around it and sends every one of them at Luke who jumps and swings epically from tree to tree with amazing parkour.

While it's distracted, Amity charges at monster with a battle cry and launches herself to slice with both her chakrams only for the monster to turn and deliver a backhanded punch, sending Amity screaming in pain. She sprawls across the grass and lands on her back, groaning hard. The monster approaches its real target. Luke dodges another fireball, by jumping off a tree branch. In mid-air he looks to see Amity downed and struggling to get up as the monster approaches her.

Luke: Oh no, you don't!

Luke fires a grapnel hook from a gun, wrapping around tree and pulling him in, allowing him to dodge more fireballs. He swung around the tree and launches himself off it, pulling hook back into his gun as he flew through the forest and jumps/swings off of 4 more trees with the fireballs all missing him. When he catches up with the monster the last fireball was about to land a hit only for Luke to deflect with a flip kick before landing between Amity and the monster, aiming and glaring at his opponent.

Luke: What? No chit-chat or monologue? Just getting right to the point, are we?

He takes aim with a gun again as the creature growls and narrows its eyes. Amity had gotten up, clutching one of her sides as she walks up next to Luke, an extra bruise on her face.

Luke: You okay, Ams?

Amity: Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks, Luke.

Luke: No problem, I've got your back.

Amity gets into a stance and the pair give fierce glares at the monster, still determined to survive no matter what.

Amity: This thing's tough. Nothing we do is hurting it.

Luke: Not exactly. It's getting weaker with each water attack we pound it with. I've got an idea but I'm gonna need you to draw a spell circle.

Amity: Whatever you need!

The monster gathers fire around its chest as Luke dismisses his guns for Rebellion which he switches to Water Mode. Luke clutches the handle with both hands, gathering water into it.

Luke: Ready, Amity!

Amity: Ready!

Amity gracefully gathers magic in her finger, drawing a large spell circle and throwing it in front of Luke.

Luke: Now!

He drew a circle of water in front of him with his sword and thrusts, unleashing high-pressure blast of water the goes through the spell circle, causing it to be surrounded and fused with Abomination goo. The monster unleashes a massive blast of fire from its chest, but the fusion of water and abomination was more than enough to over

Luke: It's weakened! Now's our chance!

Amity: Let's go!

Luke and Amity charge, giving out battle cries. Amity tosses her chakrams, slicing the monster's sides and then Luke slides forward for a stinger stab, followed up by an uppercut, flipping behind for Amity to lunge and slices the monster with her chakrams, bouncing off the monster and Luke charges in and launches himself for the finisher.

Luke unleashes an onslaught of slashes at the monster, steam coming from it as it slowly douses and eventually Luke thrusts his water-powered sword into its heart, causing it to recoil as it roars in pain.

Luke: Jackpot!

Luke pulls his sword away and jumps back as the monster becomes engulfed in a massive geyser of water that turns into a bubble. Luke lands by Amity, both watching as the bubble explodes, fully dousing the flames until there was nothing but steam and fog. Luke stood up as he and Amity see nothing come out, meaning they've won much to the latter's disbelief. The two dismiss their weapons as they process it.

Amity: We…we did it! We actually did it!

Luke: Luke triumphantly raises his fist. Yeah! Nailed it! Up high, Ams!

Luke raises his hand to Amity who blushes at first, hesitant but then smiles.

Amity: Yeah!

She raises her hand and the duo share a high-five, chuckling a little. The moment of victory was ruined when the entire forest, everything around them turns grayscale like in the burnt-up memories.

Luke: Uh oh… This is a disturbing twist.

Amity: Amity looks ahead. Luke…

A shadow could be seen within the fog. It clears, revealing Willow in her casual attire, pink flames around her. She stares at Luke and Amity.

Amity: Are you…the Inner Willow?

Inner Willow: The Inner Willow's eyes turn completely purple with hatred. I was. Love, sadness, fear. Her footsteps leave flames in the sand. I used to be a being made of all emotions. But ever since you set Willow's mind on fire, all I can feel is anger!

"Anger" echoes and her hands ignite in flames. Around them, the entire forest burns, almost all the trees are sent on fire and photo frames with Amity in them are being burned to ashes. Luke and Amity watch the destruction in sheer horror.

Luke: No, stop! If you destroy Willow's memory she'll be broken forever!

Inner Willow: But Amity wanted this. She summons the birthday party photo, grabs it with a hand made of fire. Every moment she touched; I'm going to burn.

Amity: You're just hurting Willow. Why are you doing this?

Inner Willow: She gets in Amity's face. Still haven't figured it out yet? She floats above the ice pillar with the photo. Then I'll show you! She grabs Amity and throws her into the photo before turning to Luke. You wanted to know everything, right? Then come take a trip down memory lane.

Luke: As creepy as that sounds, I do like the sound of finally understand-whoa!

Inner Willow grabs Luke by the cowl and tosses him through the memory.

We now go to Amity's childhood bedroom. Amity bounces off her bed and lands on her feet. Luke wasn't as fortunate as he flies through the air and crashes into something. He walks over to Amity, rubbing his head.

Luke: Uh…where are we?

Amity: My old bedroom.

Inner Willow floats into the memory, landing in front of them. Amity hides behind Luke, holding onto his arm as he summons his navy blue Glyph Gun, aiming at the Inner Willow, ready to protect Amity.

Inner Willow: You said I was hurting Willow? I was just finishing what you started!

With a bell toll and a flash of flame, the memory begins playing. The door to Young Amity's room opens, and her and Young Willow enter, the former trying to angrily walk away from the latter who desperately chases her.

Young Amity: You have to get out, Willow, now!

Young Willow: Wait, why?

Young Amity: Because—because—

Young Willow: Is it because I still can't do magic? Willow grabs Amity's hand. Amity, I'm—I'm sorry I got us in trouble at the beach, I just—I can't get the spells right.

Luke dismisses his weapon as he and Amity watch the scene in sadness. It looks like Young Amity is feeling torn from doing this but she has no choice. She rips her hand away from her friend.

Young Amity: Well, yes, that—that is why! Because you're a weakling! Willow is terribly hurt. You can't do magic so I don't wanna be your friend. Now, go!

Inner Willow makes them disappear into dust. Young Amity's scowl disappears to reveal Amity's resigned and guilt-ridden expression, while Young Willow's tearful face reveals Inner Willow's furious one. Luke could only cringe at what he saw. He knew whatever happened between his two friends was bad but not to this extent.

Luke: Oooh! Ouch! It's no wonder Willow tries to forget you.

Amity: Amity pleads to the Inner Willow. Please, hear me out! It's not what you think!

Inner Willow: Then you let your new friends pick on her for years. All because you thought she was weak. She floats up the room. Well, now I can erase all that pain. After all, out of sight, out of mind.

Her eyes darken and Amity gasps to see a ring of fire circling around her feet. The Inner Willow is going to incinerate her.

Luke: Amity! Luke looks to Inner Willow. Willow… Inner Willow… or whatever I'm supposed to call you, don't do this! What Amity did was bad but killing her isn't going to change anything! It won't give Willow peace!

Inner Willow: Maybe not. But she can at least never have to think about her ever again.

Amity: Wait! Please. The flames disappear. Before all this started, there—there was something else.

Something bangs on the door.

Woman: Amity?

The door opens. A light turns on in the darkness behind it, showing Young Amity stood in front of her mother, Odalia Blight, her shadow looming above her frightened figure.

Odalia: What is Willow doing here? She wasn't on the guest list for a reason.

Young Amity: But she's—she's my best friend!

Inner Willow is surprised by that, as is Luke.

Luke: Uh…Amity, who the hell is that?

Amity: My mother.

Odalia: Nonsense, Blights only associate with the strongest of witchlings. You can choose a new friend from one of the suitable companions I invited.

A black and white picture of young Boscha and Skara appears next to the Blights, both witchlings looking bored. Amity is not amused and crosses her arms, looking away.

Young Amity: But they're mean! Just because you work with their parents doesn't mean I have to like them!

Odalia: Good children don't squabble, dear. Sever your ties with Willow, and if you don't…then I will. Amity gasps in horror at this threat, seeing where this is going. I'll make sure the girl is never admitted into Hexside. Now go and try not to make a scene.

The door closes and colour in the room fades as flames go out. Luke and Inner Willow are struggling to process what they just witnessed, especially Willow. All this time she resented Amity for throwing away their friendship because she thought she was weak when in actuality her mother was the one who saw her as weak while Amity said all those terrible things to protect her best friend from her mother ruining her life just to teach her daughter a lesson. The Inner Willow was silent, Amity looks down in regret and Luke was filled with rage after watching this.

Luke: Okay, I'm sorry for my use of bad language but this must be said…HOW COULD SHE!? THAT BASTARD!? How cruel! So, it WAS because of your mom that your friendship was ruined!

Amity: Yes. She threatened to ruin Willow's life if I didn't sever my friendship with her. I had no choice. Willow, you were never too weak to be my friend. I was too weak to be yours. I'm so sorry for everything I've done to you. What I did wasn't right, but…I never wanted to hurt you like that. My mother threatened me. They mother to ruin your life and tear us apart themselves. I couldn't let your life get destroyed because of me, so I pushed you away. I thought I was protecting you, but… Tears well up in Amity's eyes. She clenches her fists. I understand now how stupid that really was. Amity's voice begins to break. II should've done something! I should've told you! We-we could've worked something out. We could've been friends in secret! But I… Tears leak out of Amity's eyes. I didn't do anything.

Luke could only watch as Amity drops to her knees, the tears streaming down and dripping off her face. He watches this sad scene in sorrow. Inner Willow just stays silent, letting Amity speak with her teary and broken voice.

Amity: I didn't do anything because I was too scared to stand up to my stupid mother! I let Boscha and her gang pick on you because I was too scared to defend you from them! And what's worse, I let myself become influenced by them and became a bully to you. I picked on you for years, gave you a terrible nickname and wrecked your self-confidence…all because I was too weak to be your friend. It's because of me people called you Half-a-Witch-Willow when in truth…you're a better witch than I could ever be. In the end…I'm the real Half-a-Witch. Willow, you were my best friend. I cherished our friendship and every memory we shared together. You were the little sister I always wanted! I promised when we were kids, I'd always protect you…but I broke that promise. I let you down. I let us both down. More tears leak out of her eyes. Willow…I'm sorry. I'M SO SORRY!

And now Amity is crying and sobbing hysterically, letting out the years of guilt and regret she's kept bottled up deep in her heart as tears profusely drip from her face. Luke could only look down in sympathy for his two friends, trying to avoid showing his heart breaking at the sight of all this.

Another memory plays and now Luke and Inner Willow look to see Young Amity sat near her bed, faced away from the door after kicking Willow out. She hugs her knees crying her eyes out and sobbing hysterically.

Young Amity: Willow…I'm sorry. I'M SO SORRY!

Amity continues crying with her younger self and Inner Willow watches it all.

The memory stops playing, and the room turns grey once more. Done crying, Amity stood up, sniffing a little.

Amity: Listen Willow, I can't take back what I've done, I know that, but I can promise you this. She takes out Skara's invite. I won't let Boscha and her gang pick on you ever again! Amity tugs the invite. I'm not actually gonna rip it because it's a real butterfly, but you get the gesture, right?

She pockets the invite with a smile. Inner Willow turns, tears in her eyes as she smiles too after watching what she's just seen.

Inner Willow: I do. She takes Amity's hand. I think Willow should keep her memories of you. The good, and the bad.

Amity: Me too.

Amity smiles and Luke walks over, happy to see the issue resolved. He wraps their arms around them both.

Luke: Well, now that, that's out of the way, Amity and I have got some brain repair work to do if that's okay.

Inner Willow nods and another flash of light occurs.

Luke and Amity are back in the main forest of Willow's mind. The skies have become a beautiful shade of blue and all the trees are brightly coloured. Luke hands Amity the repaired birthday photo and hangs it in the tree. They smile proudly at their work (with Luke crossing his arms), now all the memories are repaired. The two turns when they hear someone run behind them. Inner Willow walks out from behind a tree, no longer surrounded by pink flames, holding a Young Inner Willow's hand.

Amity waves at them and Luke gives a two-fingered salute.

Young Inner Willow turns to leave and walks face-first into a tree. She giggles and runs off and Inner Willow waves off Luke and Amity before following.

Luke casually hangs his hands behind his head.

Luke: Well, I can happily say this little trip down memory lane went quite well.

Amity turns to Luke with a grateful smile.

Amity: Yeah. It did.

Luke: You know, I just realized, that was the first time we've ever fought together. We make a pretty good team, Amity.

Amity: I…never thought about that. She smiles more. You're right. We do.

Luke: Even without some lame Power Glyph, you've got some real skills.

Amity: You weren't so bad yourself. Um…so listen, Luke, I just want to say…thank you.

The two faced opposite of one another.

Luke: Huh? For what, Amity?

Amity: For your confidence in me, for bringing me here, getting me to fix all this, saving my life…again and most importantly, helping me make things right with Willow. I was too proud to admit it, but…I've needed this for a really long time. Luke smiles back at Amity. And…

To Luke's great shock Amity outright embraces him in a big hug. He did not see this coming. This action causes Luke to blush wildly as he nervously hugs back. Amity opens her eyes, realizing what she's doing, and they both immediately separate. Both are blushing and looking away from each other. Luke folds his arms and Amity holds her hands together.

Luke: Uh…yeah, anything for a friend, let's not get too mushy about it. He speaks to himself. "Oh man…what was that? I don't what it was, but it felt…kinda good."

Amity: "Oh my gosh, I can't believe I just did that. Why'd I do that, why'd I do that, why'd I do that!?"

Luke clears his throat, wanting to get rid of the awkwardness.

Luke: So, does this mean you and Willow are buddies again?

Amity isn't quite sure. While a weight has been lifted off her shoulder, she can't exactly take back all the years she's spent bullying Willow just to maintain her image.

Amity: I'm not sure.

Luke: Luke brings out the bell Well, why don't we go see?

He begins ringing the bell, signalling Eda to bring them back to reality.

We go back to the Owl House where Eda and King are panting, posing on the coffee table. Various items litter the floor.

Eda: So? Who got the gig, kid?

Gus: Well, this has been the hardest choice of my entire life. But with the public interest in mind, the interview goes to...Hooty!

Eda: Hooty?

King: Hooty?

Hooty: The door opens to reveale a surprised Hooty. Hoot?

Eda and King are outraged. After everything they did to be chosen for the interview of all the people Gus chooses to interview with Hooty. HOOTY!

Gus: Well, your performances got me thinking. What could create such interesting people? Only the Owl House itself.

A thrilled Hooty screams in surprise as Gus walks out the door.

Gus: Tell me everything, Mr. Hooty!

Hooty: I've been waiting to hear those words all my life! The door closes and his voice becomes muffled. Where to begin? It all started with a hunt. Blood red skies. That's right, I was...

Eda and King stare in outrage, all the ridiculousness they've been through has just been for nothing.

Eda: Ooooh, I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna bake that bird into a pie!

King: I'm gonna bake that kid into a pie!

The sound of a bell is heard.

Eda: Huh?

Eda turns to Willow, seeing yellow sparkles above her head as she sleeps. The sound is coming from there, causing her to remember Luke and Amity are in there.

Eda: Oh, right, I put people in there.

Eda summons Luke and Amity from Willow's mind. They land with a puff of yellow smoke, holding hands. The bell disappears from Luke's hand as Amity lets go of his other one.

Luke: Whoa. What the hell!? Did a hurricane happen in here while we were gone!? And where's Gus? What did you do with Gus?

Eda: The kid's fine. He's just dead to us.

Eda and King leave grumpily, leaving Luke and Amity confused.

Luke: Those are very mixed messages.

Amity: I don't know what happened here, but I'm pretty sure I don't want to.

Luke: Ditto.

Willow opens her now seemingly open eyes much to Luke's delight. Amity keeps her distance.

Luke: Willow! Do you know who I am?

Willow: Willow sits up. A friendly scarecrow? She smiles. Ha! Just messing, I remember everything!

Luke: Woo-hoo! Oh yeah, baby! She's back people! He runs over and the two share a hug. Welcome back, Whomping Willow!

He hugs her tightly. Amity turns, looking hurt and guilt-ridden and starts to leave, feeling she's done enough damage in one lifetime. Luke watches her open the door, she gives him a shy wave and takes a step out. Luke and Willow separate, the latter giving Amity a look.

Willow: I remember what you did too. Amity stops and looks back. Willow points to her head. What you did in there. I remember all of it.

Amity: Then…you know why, I-

Willow: Yes. I saw all of it. I get it now. And…I forgive you.

Amity was stunned to hear this. After what she did to her, throwing away their friendship and everything she's put Willow through she's willing to forgive her.

Amity: Really?

Willow: Well…not completely. I can't exactly forget what's happened between us these past years, so I can't say we're friends, but it's…a start.

Willow and Amity share their first smile together in a long time. Luke quickly gets in between them both.

Luke: Hold on, before you two do or say anything else, could you come here for a moment, both of you? Amity and Willow do so and stood face-to-face. Okay, I'm a bit thirsty so I'm gonna go grab a glass of water. While I do that can you do me a favour? Can you both do me a favour? Would you hug?

Willow & Amity: What!?

Luke can see that they're both hesitant.

Luke: It doesn't have to be a real hug, just pretend that you love each other, please.

Willow and Amity share half-hearted and doubtful expression but decide to follow Luke's request. The two walk up and Willow wraps her arm around Amity, embracing her in a hug. Amity is hesitant to do the same.

Luke: Come on, Amity, wrap your arms around her too, make this look authentic.

Amity closes her arms and slowly wraps her arms around Willow.

Luke: There we go, that's good. Both are now embraced in a hug. Alright, sweet! That's perfect! Now, hold that pose until I'm out the doorway, it'll help me feel I've actually made a difference. Byyyeeee! (4)

And with that, Luke takes his leave for the kitchen before he could make things awkward, leaving Amity and Willow all alone. At first this hug was pretend, and they wanted to separate the moment Luke left but it soon becomes real as they get into the moment and truly embrace each other. Both Willow and Amity breakdown and cry as they hug, especially Amity as she cries onto Willow's shoulder, tears leaking out her eyes.

Amity: I'm so sorry, Willow…I…I…!

Willow: Willow cries too. I know, Amity. I know that now. It's okay…

The two girls cry and sob as they let out their emotions and mend their friendship. Look was hidden next to the doorway, leaning against the wall and grinning with his arms crossed, having watched the whole thing. He dusts his hands off.

Luke: I'd say that's mission accomplished. Old friendship, restored.

Couple minutes later, after Luke returns, Amity proceeds to take her leave but not before sharing a smile with Willow and Luke, the former waving at her to which she returns. Luke gives the thumbs up and Amity returns that too.

And with that, Amity leaves and closes the door behind her.

Willow: Luke, question: how did Amity happen to see the photo I hid in class?

Luke: You said no schemes, ruses or plots but I didn't hear anything about shenanigans.

Gus' interview with Hooty isn't going at all like he imagined as Amity walks by.

Hooty: My first word was hoot. My second word was hoot-hoot. My third word—

Gus: Hooty, you gotta stay on track here, buddy!

Amity stops walking. She reaches into her pocket and lets the invite unfold. Smiling, she lets it fly off and walks away, signifying severing her so-called friendship with Boscha and Skara.

Gus is as his wit's ends now; Hoot's constant yammering has driven him to the brink of insanity.

Hooty: Here's a song I wrote! Bored bored bored, bored bored bored.

Gus: Ah! Gus throws his notepad and pencil. I can't take this anymore!

Annoyed with having gotten nowhere Gus just takes his leave.

Hooty: Here a hoot, there a hoot, somewhere else a hoot hoot, hooty-hoot hoot!
