10 years later,
Danny grew into a teenager. Living a normal teenage life. Well, almost. His parents started to make a portal in their basement and his sister was starting to act like an adult instead of a teen. Luckily, he still has his two best friends, who had their own problems. But it still brought them together.
Danny was cleaning out his room when his friend, Tucker found something.
"Hey, Danny. What's this?" He asked, making him lookup.
Danny notice the child's drawing and took it from him. He blinks as he saw that it was him when he was four and a girl that was older than him. Danny blinks before remembering that the girl was the person that got back at Dash during his preschool days. He hasn't seen her since that day.
"I thought I lost this." He said, smiling.
"Wait, isn't that the girl you said that put sand down Dash's shirt during Preschool?" Sam asked.
"Yep. It was back when you two were in timeout." Danny said.
"Dude, don't even remind me," Tucker said, pouting.
"It wasn't my fault that Tucker was trying to steal some cookies before snack time," Sam said, not believing she was punished as well.
Danny rolled his eyes and looks at the drawing. He was wondering how the girl had been doing since that day. Each day in Preschool, he would watch the fence, hoping to see her again. But she never shows. At first, he felt she left him, but as he grew older, he started to think she was busy. Danny did want to see her again, but she was probably else were and taking care of herself.
"Danny? Are you okay?"
Tucker's voice snaps him from his thoughts.
"Sorry, guys. Guess I got lost in the past for a bit." Danny said, laughing a bit.
Sam notice how Danny how was smiling when he was looking at the drawing. She wasn't sure, but there was something about that smile that didn't come off as a friendly one.
"Well, I'm sure she's doing fine. Besides, I heard your parents are finishing the portal tomorrow." Sam said, making him look up.
"Yeah. It will be great for this whole Ghost thing to die down after their done. I'm not going to lie, guys. I'm glad my parents are finally going to live out their dream." Danny said.
"Are you sure? I mean, no one believes in ghosts." Tucker said.
"Look, real or not, Mom and Dad need this. Maybe it will help them understand they need to rethink their ways if the portal works or not. I might not be into ghosts, but I think it wrong just to declare them as evil beings." Danny said.
"Who knows?" Tucker shrugs.
Danny rolled his eyes and looks back at the drawing. He smiles before folding it up and putting it in his pocket. He went back to cleaning his room, his mind thinking back to the girl he met.
In truth, Azazel never left Danny. Even since noticed he could see her, Azazel wanted to see him again. But St. Michel noticed what happen and order her to keep as far as possible from him. Azazel was forced to follow it as she knew Heaven was watching her every move. But that didn't mean she found ways to go under their reader. She did follow Danny home one day and would enter his room when he was still during the night. She would sit next to his bed, watching him sleep. There were a few times he would have nightmares, and she would give him a bit of light to drive them away.
As he grew older, Azazel stay the same. When she would visit during the night, she would notice how different he was becoming. He still had the same hair and eyes, but he was starting to look different in her eyes. She didn't know why.
She was able to slip under the radar again and decide to see how Danny was doing and see if there was anything that could explain why he could see her. She saw him with his friends and smiled. At least, he was doing fine so far.
She carefully climbs back up, sighing. She still didn't have her wings and people still couldn't see her. She sat on the roof and started to write on her notepad. Azazel knew the boy was special and she wanted to make sure that he grew up safe.
"AZAZEL!"
She jumps and almost drops her notepad, but was able to catch it. She turns around and saw Archangel Michael on the roof with her.
"G-G-General?!" She shouted in shock.
"I told you to stay away from the boy! What are you doing here?!" Michael asked.
"Sir, if you will let me explain..." Azazel started.
"QUIET!" Michael shouted, making her flinch.
"I told you that if you go new the boy again, there will be some punishment! Since you disobey your orders, I will revoke your visits to Earth. Come down here again, and you will be scrubbing the barracks for the next 100 years!" She said.
Azazel couldn't believe it. All she wanted was to find out why Daniel could see her and now she can't visit Earth to find out?!
"Sir! Listen to me! I found someone that could see me, even though he has no connection to God or anything. It's very strange and there has to be a reason..." Azazel tries to explain.
"ENOUGH! I don't want to hear any excuses! Now return to the Heavens at once." Michael said.
Azazel looks down. Again, Archangel Michel refuses to listen to her. Again, Archangel Michael punished her for something that she was trying to find out. But no more. She didn't care about what she was about to do. She took a breath and looks up.
"No."
Michel stops and turns back to Azazel.
"What did you say?" She asked, surprised.
"I said, no. I'm not going back. Not yet." Azazel said.
"Azazel, I order you..." Michel started.
"NO! You listen to me for once! I met a young boy 10 years ago, who could see me and even invited me to play with him! I learn that his dream was to travel to the stars! But out of even one on this planet that wasn't going to church or praying towards our father, he was the only one that could see me without doing any of those! I want to know why! My best theory is that he has some connection to our father that he doesn't know about! Not to mention his name is DANIEL!" Azazel told her.
"ENOUGH! I will not hear any more of this!" Michel shouted.
Azazel shook her head. For the past 300 years, Archangel Michael has always treated her like she was the lowest angel in angel. No matter how much she tries, she could never get into Michel's good graces.
"Then I resign," Azazel said, shocking her.
"WHAT?!" Michel shouted, shocked.
"I resign. I'm no longer going to be a part of heaven if I'm treated like a lower-class angel. I tried to earn your respect! But you threw in my face! You yelled at me for things I never did! Father made all of us equal! And before you say "I'm only doing this to make you a better angel.". It's not working! You belate me for everything! I'm staying on Earth and finding out why one boy could see me when one else can!" Azazel said, turning away from Michael.
St. Michel stood there, shocked. Azazel just resign from Heaven, meaning she could never return to Heaven for the rest of her life. She then glares at Azazel showing no emotion towards her.
"Then so be it. From this day forward, you will never step beyond the gates of Heaven. You will be forever marked as a Fallen Angel." She said, facing away from Azazel.
Azazel looks away. She knew what that met. Even if she could change her mind, it won't matter. Fallen Angels would never return to their former home.
"One last thing, Azazel," Archangel Michael said.
"Don't expect us to come to your aid if you can handle this down here. You're on your own. In a world where no one can see you." She said before heading back to Heaven.
Once she was alone, Azazel broke down crying. She lost everything. Her home and her chance to earn her wings. She threw everything away, all for the sake of trying to find why there was one person on Earth who could see her. Yes, she was upset that Archangel Michael would never listen to her, but she was now stuck on Earth, with nothing but her suit and her halo.
"Rise, my child."
Azazel gasps in shock when she heard that voice.
"Father?" She asked, looking up.
She could feel a light shine on her and could hear his voice.
"I heard everything you said to Michael. I will make sure she knows I don't approve of how she treats you, but I know you have a reason."
"Yes, the boy. His name is Daniel and her could see me. I could see that his family isn't connected to you at all but he's still able to see me." Azazel said.
"And you wish to find out?"
"Yes." Azazel nodded.
"Then allow me to aid in your time of need, my child."
Azazel blinks. Her father was going to help her?
"Forgive me, but how?" Azazel asked.
"Trust me, my child. You won't be doing everything alone."
Azazel felt a bright light cover her and shield her eyes. When the light faded, Azazel was gone.
"To understand the life of one person, you must live as one. When you will awaken, Azazel, your life will be anew."
And I'm stopping here. So, Danny never forgot Azazel and Azazel was watching Danny in secret. Now, I know Archangel Michael is more in lines of a male angel, but I was trying to keep it in the Helltaker game, so Michael became a female. It's also believed that the angel you see in one of Azazel's Ending, known as Heveantaker, is believed to be Archangel Michael to the fans. So, I decide to go along with them this time. So what happened to Azazel after God decided to help her? You'll find out in the next chapter.
By the way, I'm thinking on how Danny could see Azazel, and the first idea I had is that Danny was a descendant of one of the first Angel/Human hybrids from the Bible. Only instead of all of them being wiped out during the great flood, one of them survives and regrets his actions. He hides away from the other people, actually helping create the Gaint's mythology. As his descendants started to live with the people, they started to grow smaller and smaller until they were around the same size. However, I'm not really sure about this idea and trying to come up with another one. Everyone is free to tell me what they think about how Danny could see Azazel. Trust me, you guys have helped me a lot with my stories.
And Grammarly seemly got an update, but they didn't fix everything. It's still retrying to remove and fix words. Even if those words are needed or spelled correctly.
