Later that night,

Danny sat at the table, sighing. Azazel came over earlier to check on him and it did make him feel a bit better. He then spotted Jazz standing at the doorway, looking at him.

"What?" He asked.

"Nothing." She said, walking up to him.

Jazz looked over her brother, who went back to sulking. He flinches when Jazz pitches his arm.

"Ow! What?" He asked, again.

"Nothing!" Jazz repeated, thinking over her words.

"Uh, so, uh, Danny, I know I've been kind of hard on you lately, but you know I think you're great, right?" She said as Danny rubs his arm.

"Yeah right. That's not what I hear." Danny said, groaning.

"Then you've heard wrong. Look, I know you think I'm pushy and I'm a know-it-all. I know you think I can be a jerk sometimes..." Jazz said before noticing that he was looking at her with a smile.

"You know, you can stop me at any time." Jazz said, annoyed.

"I know," Danny said, still smiling.

"All I'm saying is I'm your sister and I care about you. And even though you don't think I'll understand, you can talk to me about anything." Jazz said, placing a hand on his shoulder.

Danny looks down, thinking about it. He knew Jazz was right. She was his first friend before Sam and Tucker. There were tight when they were kids. Danny did admit to Azazel that he misses those days. Maybe he should?

Suddenly there is a loud crash, startling both Danny and Jazz. They run to the opening overlooking the living room to find the couch half destroyed and smoking. The camera zooms out to show Jack wielding the Fenton Peeler and Maddie looking on.

"I'm just saying, if we can find that ghost at Jazz's school, we're gonna peel that ghost like an onion!" Jack said, cheerfully.

"Well, we can't completely vaporize it. Don't you want to at least examine the remains?" Maddie asked.

Both Danny and Jazz looked alarmed at that before Danny notices her hand was still on his shoulder. As much as he wishes he could, he didn't want to get Jazz caught up in his mess.

"I don't feel like talking about it." He said, shrugging her hand off.

Jazz sighs before smiling.

"Yeah, I'd imagine not." She said, walking over and kissing the top of his head.

Danny blinks in surprise when Jazz walked away. It has been a long time since Jazz did that and it made him happy that she still cared.

"Oh, gross!" Danny said, acting like a brother would when you find out you have been kissed by your sister.

Casper High,

Danny stood at his locker as Tucker, Sam, and Azazel walked up, seemly to notice something wrong.

"Uh, is it just me, or is this the worst Spirit Week in the history of Casper High Spirit Weeks?" Sam asked.

Azazel looks around, not liking it one bit.

"Another day, another 24 hours closer to a career of pumping gas," Dash said, walking by.

"At least you'll have a job. Apparently, I'm gonna end up a hobo. I didn't even know they had hobos anymore!" Kwan said.

They then spotted Paulina and Valerie walking by looking as bad as Dash and Kwan.

"Did you know wrinkles can start emerging in your mid-twenties?" Paulina said, confusing the group more.

"And to make it worse, we're all gonna have to sit through Jazz's idiotic speech when she tries to put the "I" back in "spirit" or some other nonsense," Danny said, seeing his sister walking down the hallway with a smile on her face.

"What the heck is she so happy about?" Danny asked, confused.

"Don't ask me. I'm usually the sour one around here. But compared to everyone else, I'm the goth bird of happiness." Sam said.

"Me too! And we're the only two people in this school who haven't had a session with Dr. Spectra." Tucker added.

"And I keep the gloom away from me because I'm close to god," Azazel said.

Suddenly, Danny thought of something.

"Wait a minute. Let me see something." He said, grabbing Tucker's PDA.

He soon found the images of him in his baby suit, causing Azazel to glare at Tucker, who laughs nervously.

"Uh...I was gonna delete that." He said.

"Glad you didn't. Look at that." Danny said, pointing to his breath.

"I kept thinking I was seeing my breath. That it was cold. But what if that's my ghost sense? What if Spectra is somehow making people more miserable? What if she's a ghost?" Danny said, making his friends think.

"That might explain why I kept seeing strange things about her," Azazel said, leading back.

"Strange how?" Danny asked.

"During her help, I saw her grab your shoulder when Dash and others made fun of you. I could have sworn I saw her face look younger." Azazel said, also thinking about the time Spectra touched her shoulder.

"Only one way to find out," Sam said, already having a plan.

Later,

Tucker and Sam walked out of Spectra's office, both of them looking terrible.

"I hate my life," Tucker said.

"I hate your life more," Sam told him before they walked away.

"Buh-bye! And remember, there's only an 'I" in "misery" if you spell it that way!" Spectra said, looking a bit older.

Danny watched her head back into her office before flying invisible with Azazel holding on to him. They watched as ghost energy flew around Spectra before she breathed it in, looking much younger.

"Ahhh. Man, that's good." She said, sitting on her desk.

"I'm gonna miss these kids. They're a waterfall of misery." She said, looking at Tucker's and Sam's student profiles.

Suddenly, Bertrand appeared, making Spectra smile.

"There you are. You hooked up the device?" She asked.

"Of course. And when the spirit sparklers go up, vaporizing the only chipper kid left in the entire school, there'll be enough misery and anguish in that room to keep us looking young forever!" Bertrand said, smiling.

Danny and Azazel gasps when they heard that. Before they could make their move, the bell rings.

"Well, there's the bell. Shall we go hear a speech and bum some more kids out?" Spectra said and asked.

The two ghosts form into a single energy before phasing through the wall. Danny landed and turn them both visible, still shocked by what they heard.

"Jazz!" Danny said, worried about his sister.

"We got to stop them!" Azazel said, knowing there was no peaceful way of ending this.

Spectra and Bertrand walked down the hall, thinking their plan was going to work.

"After we've destroyed everything, you up for a cappuccino?" Bertrand asked.

"Ooh, that's a marvelous idea..." Spectra agreed.

Suddenly, Bertrand was knocked away by a green blast, surprising Spectra. She turns around to see Danny and Azazel behind her.

"We figured it out, finally. You feed on misery, don't you?" Danny asked as Azazel stood ready for anything.

"Can I help you?" Spectra asked, though surprised to see an angel.

"No, I'm sure you can't. You can't help anyone except yourself." Danny said, already knowing the truth.

"You find that one thing that a kid's most afraid of. Their future, their looks, their confidence..." Danny trails off at the end before Azazel puts a hand on his shoulder.

"And you pick at it and pick at it while your snippy little ghost assistant feeds on it!" Danny finished.

"Hey!"

"And the reason your little tricks don't work on me is because I'm a real Angel! One of the few things you can't break!" Azazel added.

Spectra clasps, smirking.

"Very good. But I fear you've missed a few details!" She said as her eyes turned red and was covered in a purple flame.

She soon turned into her ready ghost form, surprising Danny and Azazel. Danny was suddenly attacked by Bertrand, passing them through the wall.

"Daniel!" Azazel said, getting ready to follow them.

"Going so soon?"

She felt her arms get grabbed by Spectra before looking at her face.

"An Angel, here on earth? Tell me, did you leave on your own, or did God kick you out for being worthless?" Spectra asked.

"Oh, I left on my own, but not with some help from my father!" Azazel said, using her wings to force Spcetra's arms off.

She flaps her wings, forcing Spectra to be blown back. Spectra slams into the lockers as Azazel sighs.

'She's not much of a fighter. Bertrand does all the heavy lifting. I need to get to Danny and save Jazz.' She thought before flying towards the doors.

Outside,

Danny landed on the ground with Bertrand on top of him. Danny shrugs for a few seconds as Bertrand smirks.

"You thought you were going to stop us? You? You're just a frightened little kid!" He said, trying to play on Danny's feelings.

However, Danny was ready this time. When Bertrand went to attack him, Danny quickly phases through the ground, surprising him. He then appears behind Bertrand and knocks him away. Danny suddenly found himself grabbed by the neck and held up.

"Let go of me!" Danny said as Spectra held him up.

"Why would I do that? Your doubt, your misery, it's delicious." She said before flying up to the window.

Danny could see the gym and his sister, who finished her first half of her speech, and saw that dominos were already falling.

"And the best part is, as soon as that silly speech is over, and that last domino falls and the sparklers vaporize the speaker, we'll leave you here to take the blame. And by the time I'm done with you, you'll be sure it was all your fault!" She added, thinking she's won.

"Man, I am so tired of you dumping on me. And I am so tired of dumping on myself. Jazz never did that, even when I was mad at her." Danny said, looking at his sister.

Yes, she was annoying, a Ms. know-it-all, but she was still his sister. She was still his best friend. He still remembered all the things they did together. Despite everything, Danny still cares and loves his sister.

"And I won't let her down!" Danny shouted, throwing Spectra off.

Danny turns to face her, not letting her words bug him anymore.

"Bertrand! Sic him!" Spectra said.

Danny saw Bertrand jump back into the field before turning into a ninja. Danny watched with a flat look, seeing him pose and show off.

"We don't have time for this," Danny said, confusing him.

Suddenly, a light shines behind Bertrand and felt himself get sucked in.

"No! Aaaahhhh!" He shouted as he was sucked into Azazel's thermos.

The secret couple smiled at each other before they turned to Spectra, who growls.

"You're though!" She shouted.

"And you're done telling me what to do!" Danny added, flying around Spectra.

He grabs her tail and tosses her into a dumpster.

"That's what I call taking out the trash," Azazel said, smiling.

"Nice pun." Danny comment.

However, they both remembered something else important. Or make that someone!

"JAZZ!" Danny shouted.

"Go! I'll catch up!" Azazel said, making him nod.

Danny flew as fast he could, phasing through the wall just as the last domino fell. Danny grabs Jazz, phasing them both through a wall just as the "sparkles" went off.

Danny flew into the hallway, carrying his surprised sister. Danny sets her down and looks at her. Suddenly, Danny was grabbed again and pulled away from his sister.

"Look at you. What are you? A ghost trying to fit in with humans? Or some creepy little boy with creepy little powers?" Spectra asked, smirking.

"Both! Uh...neither! I don't know." Danny said, trying to fight the words in his head.

"You're a freak! Not a ghost, not a boy! Who cares for a thing like you?" She said, laughing.

"Excuse me."

Both Danny and Spectra turned to see Jazz walking in, looking upset.

"I don't know this kid, but I hope it's ok if he gets a second opinion." She said before holding up the Fenton Ghost Peeler.

She activates it and she is covered in armor that fits her and keeps her balance, unlike her father, who fell when he wore it.

"This is weird." She said before aiming the peeler at Spectra and fired.

Spectra screamed as layer after layer, fell from her. Soon all that was left was an old woman, that looks like she could barely put up a fight.

"Talk about having nothing within," Danny said, getting up.

"Aaahh, nooo! I am nothing without my youth!" Spectra screamed when she felt all the lines and wrinkles on her face.

Danny quickly grabbed his thermos and sucked Spectra in. With Spectra gone, Jazz undid the armor before looking pleased with herself.

"Hey, it worked! But it's still weird." She said, walking up to Danny.

The siblings looked at each other, with Danny being a bit scared. Jazz looks at Danny before a thought crosses her mind.

"Ahhh. Ghost." She said in fake terror.

She ran towards the door before stopping.

"You better go." She said with a knowing smile.

Danny watched his sister leave before sighing. He turns to walk away and crashes into a stack of boxes.

"Oh. Uh, right." He said, forgetting he was in his ghost form.

Danny flew out of the room, running into Azazel, and he explained that Spectra was caught and Jazz was safe.

Jazz didn't leave too far, smiling that Danny was using his powers for good. She wanted to tell him she knew about his powers but after giving it some more thought, she decided on something else.

"He can tell me when he's ready." She said, smiling to herself.

"Miss. Fenton."

Jazz looks up to see Mr. Lancer running up to her, still holding the pom-poms.

"You're needed." He said.

Jazz follow Lancer to the gym where the students were cheering her name.

"Hey, she's okay!" Tucker said, glad.

Jazz looked into the crowd and spotted her brother, sitting next to Azazel. Danny notices and waves back, smiling.

"Ahh, everybody's mood has lifted, as though some gloomy malevolence has been shooed away." Mr. Lancer said, having no idea how right he was.

"Your disappearing act worked marvelously. They've got their spirit back." Mr. Lancer said.

"They're not the only ones, Mr. Lancer." Jazz said, looking at her brother.

"They're not the only ones."

Heaven,

Michael smiles as she watched Jazz decide to keep her brother secret and help him in the coming battles.

"I see you have taken interest in the eldest Fenton."

"I just gave her a little nug in the right direction," Michael said.

"Did you? From what I see, you're more interested in something else."

"Father, please. I was just trying to help." Michael said, turning away.

"If you say so, Michaelle."

Michael stopped, surprised at the name. However, she shook her head before heading back to her job.

God watches her walk away before turning to see Danny and Azazel on a flying date. She smiles, knowing that his daughter was happy with the boy she loves.

"Keep each other safe."

And My Brother's Keeper is finally done! And before New Year's too! So, Danny and Azazel defeated Spectra, and much like the show, Jazz decides to keep the secret to herself until Danny tells her. Same with Azazel. Michael seems to have more interest in Jazz, but she trying to put it off. She's still going to be part of the story, but the next few chapters will be my own ideas. However, I want to leave the next Danny Phantom Espoide to you guys. Please stick to Season 1, however. And it also depends if the episode has the full transcripts.
