Nathair1: Thanks. I agree, their personalities just balance the other. Yeah, that's what I'm going to be aiming for on the second attempt.

Please enjoy the next chapter.

The students sat at their desk while their homeroom teacher, Naberius Kaelgo took role. Iruma sighed as he shook his head, 'Why did grandpa have to put us in the Misfit Class?'

'It's not so bad, Iruma-kins, me and Azz-Azz are here too,' Iruma looked over towards Clara and Clara slightly smiled as she nodded and Iruma returned the smile.

"Now," the students looked at the strict educator as Naberius stood up, "Now it's time for your first test," the students stood up and followed their teacher out of the rundown classroom.

The students stared down the cliff at the jagged rocks below before Naberius spoke, "For this test, you will race across Warbling Valley, it's a bit longer than Cutthroat Valley, but it's also safer an-"

"A true Demon King never backs down from a challenge," the tall demon, Sabro Sobnock crossed his arms and smirked, "I'll be taking Cutthroat Valley to ensure my victory,"

"I wouldn't recommend it,"

"Eh? And why's that?"

"Because the Guardian of the Valley has been in a mood lately, so it'll be safer if you just stick to going through Warbling Valley instead," Naberius sat down and Iruma looked around as demons began spreading their wings.

Iruma swallowed hard as he shook his head, 'Hey Clara, I don't know if you know this, but humans can't fly and we're pretty high up,'

'It'll be okay, Iruma-kins, just hop on Azz-Azz's back with me,' Iruma looked back and saw Clara crouching behind Alice before the demons began flying and saw Clara jump on Alice's back before he flew away, unknowingly knocking Iruma off the cliff. Naberius turned and stepped into the tent and the tent vanished.

Sabro zoomed passed the cameras that floated around before one of them shouted after him, "Wrong way, danger, danger!"

Sabro laughed as the warning faded in the distance, "Heh, only a true Demon King will gladly face any type of danger that stands in his way," he continued to laugh as he sped away.

Naberius watched the monitors as he drank some tea before he sighed and shook his head, "That idiot Sobnock," he looked down at a clipboard he was holding and waved his hand over it and watched as a name vanished, "Whatever, it's just one less student I have to worry about," he hummed as he looked back up at the monitors, "Speaking of, where is that other oaf that started late," he flipped through the different channels on the monitor as he continued to enjoy his tea.

Iruma landed in a seemingly empty nest and groaned as he rubbed his lower back, "That hurt," hearing a screech, his eyes widened as he looked back to see a demonic bird behind him. He tried to crawled away, only to stop when he saw the demonic creature wince in pain, "What's wrong?" he looked down and saw a large cut on the creature's leg and he frowned, "Oh you're hurt,"

He tore off some of his shirt and held the cloth up, "I want to help you," he picked up a sharp rock and the creature screeched in a panic, "No, watch," Iruma cut the back of his hand and wrapped the cloth around it before tying it off. He held his hand up and smiled, "See? I want to do that to you," the creature screeched again before holding its leg out and Iruma ripped another piece of cloth from his shirt.

Iruma got ready to wrap it around the creature's leg when a small drop of Iruma's blood seeped through the cloth and fell into the cut and they watched as it healed in a bright light. Iruma stared with wide eyes, 'Whoa...I guess human's have more uses in the Netherworld than demons think,'

'What do you mean, Iruma-kins?' he heard Clara's voice say, 'Where are you? Are you okay?'

'I'm fine, Clara, just...got caught in something...I saw you jumping on Azz's back an-' before he could finish, the demonic creature lunged at him and began flying away.

The blue-haired human sat on the back of the creature as it flew through Cutthroat Valley, "Hey...we're not supposed to be here!" he looked around and spotted Sabro fighting a larger creature and his eyes widened as the creature he was flying flew towards the two.

Iruma jumped off the creature's back and landed in front of Sabro as he tried to attack the giant creature, "Iruma? What the hell do you think you're doing!" the two heard screeching and they looked up to see the two creatures screeching at one another, "Wait, is that the child of the Guardian of Cutthroat Valley?"

"Its child," Iruma sounded confused before he looked up and smiled, "Hey! Your baby is all better!" the larger creature looked down at him, "We know why you were in a bad mood! It must've been hard watching you child be in pain, but we're not going to try and hurt you or your baby, right Sobnock?" he looked back and slightly smiled at his classmate as Sabro held a large sword, ready to swing at the Guardian, "Put it down," Sabro sighed as he dropped the weapon and the creature bowed, allowing the two to climb on its back before it began flying them out of the valley.

The students of the Misfit Class stood at the finish line, looking around as Clara frowned and shook her head, 'Iruma-kins, where are you? What happened? Are you okay?' Naberius hummed, ready to wave his hand over the clipboard when a strong gust of wind knocked everyone back slightly.

Looking up, their eyes widened as the educator gasped, "It's the guardian of Cutthroat Valley," he ran in front of his students and held his arm out, "Stand back, children!"

"Hey!" they heard Iruma's voice call out to them and Clara's eyes widened as a small smile formed across her face, "We're okay!" everyone stared in awe as the creature landed and Sabro and Iruma jumped off its back before the creature left the students and teacher with its child on its back.

Clara pushed past her classmates and over to Iruma as she hugged him and whispered in his ear, "I was worried someone or something found out what you are and killed you,"

Iruma smiled as he rubbed Clara's back, "I'm okay, Clara, just a small hiccup," Clara hummed and nodded before the pair separated.

One by one, the students lined up and received their Rank from the three-eyed owl in front of them. Clara looked back at Iruma and sighed as she frowned before reaching into the pouch on the owl's chest and pulled out a golden badge. She turned and walked to the back of the line and whispered in Iruma's ear, "Good luck, Iruma-kins," Iruma nodded and sighed as he waited for his turn.

Soon, Iruma stepped up and slowly reached his hand up, "What do you think he's going to get?" Shax Lied question.

"I bet he'll make it all the way to Yud," another classmate, Andro Jazz, spoke before smirking, "Or maybe another bird,"

"Shut it, fool," Naberius snapped and the dark-haired demon snickered, "The ranking owl cannot be persuaded in any way, and it has not said a peep in over a century," his eyes widened as the owl let out a horrific screech, "Until now!"

Everyone looked back to see the owl fly off in a hurry as Iruma called after it, "Wait, I didn't get my rank!"

Everyone gasped as they saw a golden ring dawning Iruma's right middle finger, "Iruma sir?"

"Iruma-kins?" Clara frowned as she shook her head, "What's on your hand?" Iruma looked down in disbelief.

Everyone stared at him as Sabro thought, 'The Golden Ring of Solomon? I've heard rumors that the next Demon King will bear the ring on his right hand and he will make one and all his loyal subjects,' everyone watched as a black aura emerged from the band and began screeching loudly, 'But this can't be. I've never heard of the Ring of Solomon admitting black smoke like this,' he stepped closer to the human and smirked, "Iruma, let me try to help you,"

"Uh...be careful,"

"Fear not, my hearty rival," the aura floated towards sabro and bit him, causing him to fall back, stunned.

"Sobnock!"

"Master Iruma," Iruma looked back as Alice walked up to him, "As your loyal friend and humble servant, allow me to deal with this matter an-" before he could finish, the aura bit him and he fell back.

"Not again!"

"I'm fine, sir," Alice struggled to stand, "It's just a little nibble,"

He began coughing up blood and Iruma frowned as he shook his head, "That looks like more than just a nibble," Clara took a deep breath and began singing offkey to the aura and everyone started groaning in anguish, only to see the aura dancing around.

Naberius walked over to Iruma and narrowed his eyes, "Iruma, let me take a look," he placed a hand on Iruma's shoulder and his eyes widened when he saw his arm missing and the aura laughing at him.

"Professor?" Iruma spoke as Naberius' arm returned to normal, "Are you okay, Professor Kalego?"

'A warning? No, this thing is threatening me, only one thing to do,' he got ready to poke Iruma when he felt a finger stop him.

"Careful, you know that's against the rules,"

Everyone looked back to see Sullivan standing behind the two, "C-Chair-Demon!"

"Grandpa?"

Sullivan smiled at his adopted grandson before he turned his attention towards Naberius and narrowed his eyes, "You know what you were going to do? You were trying to blow my Iruma's arms off, weren't you?"

"You what!" Alice and Iruma shouted in unison as Clara glared at their homeroom teacher with a hardened expression crossing her face.

The two adults argued back and forth with one another as the dark aura stretched out over towards Sullivan, "Look out!" Iruma shouted.

Sullivan hummed and looked back before holding his arm out, stopping the aura and smiled, "Here you, eat up, enjoy your meal," everyone watched as the aura grew in size before retreating back into the ring.

Iruma stared down at his ring in confusion as Sullivan explained, "You see my boy, that is the Gluttonous Feeder Ring. As it runs out of magic, it feeds off of the magic of the wearer," Iruma looked up in confusion as Sullivan whispered, "And since you're human, you don't really have magic, so we're going to try and keep it fed," Iruma slowly nodded.

Clara continued to glare at Naberius as she helped Alice up, "Chair-Demon Sullivan has that much power after letting the little monster eat that much of his mana? The Chair-Demon is not a force to be reckon with," Clara moaned as she let Alice go and walked over to Iruma and carefully hugged him as the class gathered around as a camera flashed and took a picture.

Well, I took some bits from the episode/manga, and added a few things on my own. Enjoy.
