Iruma watched as Clara played with her younger siblings while her parents, Sullivan and Opera talked in the other room. Taking a deep breath, Iruma looked down at his ring and whispered, "Hey Ali?" feeling something slither up his arm, he looked down at his shoulder and saw the specter peered through the collar of his shirt, "Listen...I don't know if you know this, but humans don't have a very long lifespan and...and Clara's reasonably upset about that an-"

"It'll be best if I talk to both of you later, for now, enjoy your time with your little girlfriend, Iru-boy," Iruma sighed and nodded as the specter faded back into the ring and Iruma walked over to Clara and her siblings.

Clara, Iruma and Clara's siblings ran around the yard before they heard the gate open and they looked up to see Alice stepping into the yard. Clara and Iruma stepped away from Clara's siblings and over to the pink-haired demon and Clara smiled as she waved at him, "Hey Azz-Azz, did you miss me and Iruma-kins?"

"Everyone was wondering why you two weren't in school today," Alice answered, crossing his arms, "Did something happen to prevent you from attending classes today?" the two looked at each other before looking back at their other best friend and Alice hummed, "Did you two decide to complete your bond or-"

"No!" the two shouted in unison, their faces turning red before Iruma cleared his throat, "No, my ring was acting up last night and I decided to stay up and keep an eye on it in case it tried to go after Clara, we told grandpa and he said we could stay home and get some rest," Alice hummed and nodded before Iruma's phone began ringing, "Uh...hold on," he took his phone out of his pocket and answered it, "Hello?"

"Where the heck are you, Iruma!" the three heard a voice shout on the other end and Iruma's eyes widened as Clara looked at him and frowned, "I was waiting all day for you to come and read First Love Memories and I learn that you weren't in class today? What do you think you're doing, Iruma?"

Iruma sighed and shook his head, "Sorry Ameri, something happened last night and I barely got any sleep, so grandpa told me to take the day off and get some sleep," Iruma looked at Clara and saw her puffing her cheeks out and he shook his head again, 'It's okay, Clara. You'll be joining us on our readding sessions whenever we have them. I'm not going to let you go ignored like that,'

'Promise Iruma-kins?' Clara moaned and pouted as Iruma smiled and reached over, patting the top of her head and Clara slightly smiled.

Ameri sighed as she continued, "Very well, but please come to school tomorrow so we can continue reading First Love Memories together, so get some sleep tonight and be at the school bright and early tomorrow," Iruma nodded before ending the call.

Alice looked at the blue-haired human and arched a brow in confusion, "Did you say Ameri, sir?" confused, Iruma nodded, "That's strange, what would the student body president want with you?" Iruma blinked before he screamed in a panic, "Uh, Master Iruma? Are you all right, sir?"

"S-s-student body president? Why wasn't I aware about this an-"

"It's okay, Iruma-kins," Clara smiled, leaning up against her bond mate, "You're not the bad guy here, you did nothing wrong," Iruma sighed and slightly smiled as he wrapped an arm around her and rubbed her back.

"I'm still confused, sir." the two hummed and looked at Alice as he rubbed his chin and tilted his head to the side in confusion, "What would President Ameri want with you? And why would she call you from home? It doesn't make any sense,"

Clara and Iruma stared at him with wide eyes before Iruma nervously chuckled and shook his head, "She's just a little upset that I destroyed the classroom with the tree I summoned and she wanted to talk to me about it, but she still has some questions for me and I told her that me and Clara will be in school tomorrow and she'll talk to me then,"

"I see...by the way sir, what was that strange tree you summoned in Diabotany class? I've been wondering it for some time now and haven't gotten around to asking you,"

"Uh...right...it's um...a native tree from the West, and I wanted to see it," Alice hummed and tilted his head, "Really Azz, I just wanted to see this tree and I guess when I visualized it, the ring plus my magic alone was too much and...yeah,"

Alice took a deep breath and shook his head before slightly smiling, "Alright, is you say so sir," Clara and Iruma breathed a sigh of relief, "Well, I only stopped by to give you two your homework for the evening," Alice handed the two several books, "Professor Kalego was very annoyed that you two were out of school today and decided to give everyone double homework, and as you can imagine, no one is looking forward to it, many of them tried arguing that it was completely uncalled for, but Professor Kalego said his decision is final and everyone left in defeat," the two nodded and watched as Alice turned and walked out of the gate before they turned and walked back into the mansion with Clara's siblings following close behind.

Clara and Iruma sat on the bed, focusing on their homework when Clara looked up and slightly frowned, "Iruma-kins?" Iruma hummed and looked up in confusion, "You lied to Azz-Azz...what was that tree in the plant room?"

Iruma set his pencil down and rubbed the back of his neck, "It's called a Sakura tree, or cherry blossom...quite common in certain parts of the human world, and the only reason I lied to Azz was to keep from being devoured," Clara moaned and pouted as Iruma continued, "Anyway, if you're going to be part of the reading sessions starting tomorrow, I should probably tell you what's going on," Clara hummed and looked at him in confusion, "I read these things called manga to Ameri, a certain kind of book from the human world and what we're reading is called First Love Memories. We only got through the first one, but it's about a girl in a new school who has a hard time making friends at first," Clara listened as Iruma continued to explain everything to her.

The specter of the ring sat on Iruma's chest as Clara and Iruma soundly slept in each other's arms, "Hmm, it was important enough to ask when we were alone, but you two completely forgot about it when you're together," the two teenagers moaned and shifted in their sleep before the specter sight and slowly faded back into the ring, "I suppose it has been quite the say, we'll talk tomorrow before school," in a bright light, the specter faded into the ring and the room fell silent as the two continued to sleep.
