Chapter 5: Graham, George & Giles
"Do you have a case for us, Graham?" Sherlock asked. His question was directed to a man with short (cropped-like), silver hair (who was standing in the doorway).
"Greg" Ferdy (Ferdinand) corrected, before John could.
"I mean, George" Sherlock said.
"Greg" Ferdy, again.
"I meant, Giles"
"Greg"
"I was right the first time. It was 'Graham'"
"Who's Graham?" asked Pippin.
"His name is Greg." Ferdy tried to explain "Greg Lestrade"
"What does he do?" this asked by Frodo, this time.
"He's a D.I aka Detective Inspector for New Scotland Yard or NSY. He works in the Homicide Division. Homicide is pretty much just people killing each other." Ferdy answered.
"What does Sherlock do?" Pippin asked.
"He's a Consulting Detective - only one in the world - if not, the entire Multiverse - which means he helps the police when they're out of the depth. Which is always" answered the Hobbit (who seemed to be an 'Everything There Is To Know About The Multiverse' personified).
"No one likes a show off, kiddo" Richard murmured.
"Don't listen to him, Ferdy" 00BB said over Richard. There was the sound of John clearing his throat and gesturing for Greg to continue.
"Anyway, I've got a case for you. -" he was cut off again
By Sherlock.
"I already have one. Honestly, Lestrade don't you see I have clients"
"Those little, curly haired, hairy footed fellas" Lestrade asked.
"Obviously" said Sherlock, Ferdy and the Farfields at the same time.
"When you've finished this case," he referred to the Hobbits (not knowing which ones were the clients) as he said this "you or John'll let me know, yeah?"
"Yeah" John said as Greg turned and left the flat.
"So," Sherlock said, turning to his clients "start at the beginning"
"and don't be boring" Ferdy finished with a laugh.
One of the Farfields began "It starts with all of us being in or near Buckland..."
