He left the writing community and thus he gave me the permission to adopt this amazing story and concept. He never wrote more than the first chapter. So this chapter is from him and from the second chapter onwards, it will be my own writing. Just to make this clear from the beginning to avoid confusion because I am sure that many of you will remember this amazing chapter he created.

Naruto Uzumaki walked through the seemingly endless mountain range in the south of Fiore, following a certain trail to get closer to the end of the 100-year quest. He had been away from home for 4 years and was almost finished with the 100-year quest.
Naruto wore exactly the same as he did at the beginning of his journey. His long black cloak covered everything except his black boots. Under the black cloak he wore a black T-shirt, brown pants and a gray belt. (A/N The same cloak as Gildarts) Naruto was quite tall for the average person. He was 24 years old and had spiky blonde hair. Several smaller strands hung loosely down his forehead, partially covering it. Last but not least, he had eyes as blue as the ocean itself.
Everything around him suddenly became dark and Naruto looked up. Something was blocking the sun's path. Naruto couldn't see the thing clearly because the thing was still hidden behind some clouds. He heard a loud roar and in the next moment Naruto could see the first signs of the strongest dragon of all time.
The majestic and frightening creature broke through the cloud cover and now Naruto could see the jet-black wings with the blue pattern. He had heard a lot about the Dragon of the Apocalypse and none of it was good. Acnologia's huge white eyes looked directly at where Naruto was standing.
Naruto had a little sweat on his forehead when he saw everyone's arch enemy. 'Why do I have to meet a dragon and why does it have to be Acnologia?' Naruto thought to himself.
The dragon flew down to the ground and landed as if nothing was wrong. Naruto had to jump back so he wouldn't just be crushed by the landing alone. When Acnologia hit the ground, he uprooted 20 trees and left nothing but devastation in his wake. A lot of dust was kicked up and a lot of earth was destroyed during the landing.
Naruto was now standing 20 meters away from the dragon and could now see more closely what Acnologia really looked like. Acnologia was mastodonic and had its entire upper body covered in black, round scales, which were in turn decorated with spiraling, blue markings. Its lower body, particularly its chin, chest, stomach, inner tail, thighs, and arms, was gray in color and appeared to be rather smooth. Acnologia's eyes were white and glassy, and its head was round and blunt with four large, elongated plates extending backwards. Acnologia's mouth was full of razor-sharp teeth, and there was a projection on his chin that resembled an arrowhead. His large wings were feathered, similar to those of a bird and very similar to those of his fellow dragon Grandeeney. The scales disappeared at the end of Acnologia's tail, which itself ended in a spike-like shape.
Naruto knew full well that he wouldn't make it out alive without a fight. He just hoped that his strength would be enough for this fight and that he would survive all of this. Acnologia raised his right claw and attacked Naruto with it. Naruto jumped away and could only watch as Acnologia destroyed the ground with his claw, leaving a large crater behind. While Naruto was still in the air, Acnologia attacked him with his other claw. Naruto clenched a fist and coated his fist in crush magic.
Naruto lashed out and slammed his fist into Acnologia's massive claw. Acnologia was surprised to see that this human had enough strength to stop his claw. His claw was even pushed back slightly by the impact and upon impact there was a strong shockwave that catapulted Naruto back towards the earth.
Naruto landed in a crouch and ran straight away. He still felt the impact on his hand and was just happy that he was so strong. If he were just a little weaker, it would be over by now.
A kind of grid flew towards Acnologia and in response, Acnologia simply slammed his tail into the ground, destroying the ground. Earth was thrown up and intercepted the grid. When the grid hit a large rock, it first split into countless cubes and then crumbled into dust.
Acnologia roared once, creating a blast that swept away everything around him. Naruto held both arms in a cross formation as he was hit by the blast. He flew through the air and when he landed on the earth, the earth was destroyed by him, and his landing was cushioned.
Acnologia walked towards Naruto and raised his claw. The claw seemed to clench into a fist and something blue began to glow around the fist. Naruto's eyes widened. He quickly got to his feet and jumped to the side as that massive fist encased in magic hit his last position like a meteor. There was a massive explosion of magic, and a massive crater was created. Acnologia growled something and opened his mouth.
Naruto appeared right under Acnologia's head and jumped up. He wrapped his fist in crush magic and slammed it directly into Acnologia's lower jaw and due to the tremendous force of the punch, Acnologia's jaw snapped shut again and his head shot up, causing Acnologia head to point towards the sky.
Acnologia instinctively tried to simply remove the human under his head with a claw, but he realized that that human was no longer there. Naruto ran around Acnologia and when he was on his side, he pushed himself off a tree and flew towards him. He had covered both hands in crush magic and formed each into a fist. When he got right to Acnologia, he hit the dragon's hard scales with both fists.
Naruto gritted his teeth as he felt the hardness of the scales. If he hadn't used his magic, both hands would probably be broken by now. Naruto found that his two punches didn't bother the dragon one bit. It was moved a little from the spot, but other than that nothing happened. Naruto had hoped to at least get the dragon to move a little more. He landed on his feet and then jumped straight away. Acnologia had used his tail to remove the small insect on his side. That's just how Acnologia saw people. For Acnologia, humans were nothing more than insects.
Acnologia turned to Naruto and looked at him with his big white eyes. Naruto swallowed slightly at those eyes. 'What a feeling. I have to concentrate not to shake,' thought Naruto to himself.
Acnologia opened his mouth and roared once. Due to the resulting pressure, the entire forest and part of the mountain were simply razed to the ground. Naruto had crushed the wind in front of him with a crush pulse and therefore a straight path behind Naruto was still fine. Naruto could just see those white eyes in the massive cloud of dust looking directly at Naruto.
'I have to think of something.' Naruto thought to himself and formed a fist. He raised her, covered her in crush magic, and slammed it on the ground. The ground was torn open, and several large cubes rose up. In a display of great physical strength, he catapulted the large cube of rock towards Acnologia.
Acnologia saw all the big stones flying towards him and just made a movement with his arm and immediately all the big stones were destroyed. Acnologia couldn't see Naruto anywhere, even with his all-seeing eyes.
Naruto jumped up and gave Acnologia an uppercut. Naruto had only used all the rubble so he could get back under Acnologia. He had a theory and he first had to be sure that it was actually true.
As so often before, he had wrapped his fist in crush magic and with it he now hit Acnologia's jaw. The part not covered by the black scales. As his fist contacted Acnologia's jaw, Acnologia's head moved towards the sky.
'I thought so. The grayish skin on the entire lower body is not as hard as the scales of this bastard.' Naruto thought to himself. He swung out his other fist and hit Acnologia squarely in the neck. Naruto now saw a beautiful sight for his liking.
Acnologia was forced back by the punch to the neck and over a good distance. Naruto landed and looked at the trail Acnologia left behind as he slipped back from Naruto's punch. He saw pure destruction. 'Dragon of the Apocalypse absolutely.' Naruto thought to himself with a few drops of sweat on his forehead.
The dragon growled at Naruto, and he stood ready. A blue orb of pure magic simply appeared in front of Acnologia. Acnologia fired it just like that. To Acnologia, this blue ball of pure magic was nothing special and rather small, but to Naruto it was quite large.
Naruto held up both arms and when the blue ball was just in front of him, he shattered it with some effort. Acnologia watched as the blue ball of magic first stopped in mid-air and then split into dozens of cubes and then simply disappeared.
'It was probably just a pebble for that monster.' Naruto thought to himself. He had smashed the attack with his magic, but he had to try to do so. He didn't want to know what a real attack from this monster would look like.
Naruto had to cross his arms in front of him because Acnologia suddenly flew into the air, kicking up a lot of dust. Naruto could just slightly see Acnologia now hovering in the air above him, just looking at him.
Acnologia made a kind of fist with one claw and blue magic gathered around his fist. Naruto's eyes widened as the dragon thrusted his fist forward and a massive magic attack came from his fist.
'I have no choice.' Naruto thought to himself. He raised his fist and enveloped it in crush magic. This time you could actually feel the increase in his magical power. A white aura pulsated around Naruto and especially around his fist you could see how his magic was concentrated strongly. With a shout, he slammed his fist into the ground and immediately afterwards everything around him began to transform into human-sized cubes.
Acnologia was now able to witness why Naruto Uzumaki was one of the strongest living magicians of his time. The entire mountain was destroyed by a human. The entire mountain split into cubes bit by bit, and Naruto sank into the destroyed mountain. Acnologia's magical attack hit the mountain and all the debris Naruto created intercepted the magical attack.
Acnologia roared once, destroying the last pieces of debris. The entire mountain simply disappeared within a few minutes. Acnologia was even a little impressed by this human. He now saw Naruto as a human and not a little insect. Not many creatures had the strength to destroy an entire mountain.
Naruto hid behind a large rock. He looked around, sweat running down the side of his face. 'That was close.' Naruto thought to himself. He looked slightly over the rock and saw the mountain he had just destroyed. 'It's been a long time since I had to use all my strength.' Naruto thought.
Naruto looked in front of him and sighed once. He was really happy to be able to use his magic. With any other magic he would probably no longer have any arms or legs. He really didn't know what he would have done sometimes without his strong magic.
Naruto sprinted off. He knew full well that this might be one of the few ways to escape from this monster. Naruto looked over his shoulder and could still see that bastard in the air. 'Hopefully he's lost interest and just flies away.' Naruto thought to himself with some hope.
Of course, as fate would have it, the exact opposite happened. Acnologia looked at Naruto and flew after him. Naruto stopped and slid a little on the floor after a few moments. In front of him, Acnologia landed again and due to the strong wind, Naruto flew backwards. Naruto gritted his teeth and destroyed the ground where he landed. He stood up and looked directly into the white eyes of this monster.
Naruto suddenly sensed something in the distance, and it looked like Acnologia did too. The Dragon of the Apocalypse averted his gaze from Naruto and simply looked into the distance. Naruto slowly walked back without making any big movements. Naruto could only hope that this new magical power would be more interesting to this monster.
'Is this dark magic?' Naruto thought to himself. Even next to this monster, Naruto could feel the dark magic from afar.
The Dragon of the Apocalypse growled as he looked into the distance. He just lifted off the ground and flew away. Naruto slid slightly across the ground and hit a rock. He gasped once and then looked into the distance. Acnologia was no longer visible.
Naruto was the first person ever to survive an encounter with Acnologia and was even able to counter him for a brief moment. At least alone. Naruto sighed loudly and then took a deep breath. He adjusted his cloak and then set off. He was lucky that something else had piqued Acnologia's interest. He had to quickly find the reason why he had been on the road for 4 years and then he could finally get out of here.
'No wonder why no one ever came back from this mountain range. It looks like Acnologia lives around here somewhere.' Naruto thought to himself. This would also explain what happened to all the mages who took this quest over the last 100 years. All the mages seem to have been killed by Acnologia.
A week later, Naruto left the mountain range with the item that had been lost for 100 years. He had the item in a bag, which he now carried with his right hand over his right shoulder. He was just happy to finally be done with this task. The hardest part of this task was getting any information about this item.
When Naruto accepted the assignment, it took him a year just to get on the right track. He had received tips from many people that either led to a dead end or to dark guilds. During his travels over the last 4 years, he had taken on more than just a demon and a dark guild. Through his journey, Naruto had gained more experience than most magicians had in a lifetime.
Naruto emerged from one of Fiore's many forests and recognized the city where he lived. 'Home sweet home.' Naruto thought to himself with a smile. He was really exhausted from the long journey back here and now he just wanted to went to his house and rest. He was curious to see whether anything had changed significantly in the city. He didn't even know what year it was. He could only assume that it must be something after X790.
His cloak swayed in the wind as a strong breeze picked up. Naruto started walking slowly, just enjoying the peace and quiet. Naruto walked at a leisurely pace down the long path that led to Magnolia. After a long time, he finally had an eye on the city again, where he had lived since he was 18.
When Naruto took the first step into the city, several people looked at him. Unlike other magicians, Naruto was not well known, even though he was an S-rank magician. Mages who worked alone and didn't join a guild were just not on the radar. A few bar owners knew him, but otherwise Naruto was unknown to most of the town's residents.
"Naruto?" a male voice asked. Naruto stopped and looked to the side. He immediately recognized this person as "Kled." Naruto said with a smile. Kled was a pub owner who knew Naruto well. Kled and Naruto were even friends, if you could call it that.
"You're really back!" Kled said, holding out his hand to Naruto. Naruto shook her and Kled could see under Naruto's black cloak. Kled couldn't believe he was finally seeing his old friend again. Even in the past he had that spiky blonde hair and black cloak. The hair had now only become slightly longer. Kled could see this clearly because Naruto's forehead was now covered by a few strands. Of course, Naruto had become even more mature than usual in the 4 years. Kled recognized this directly from his presence. Naruto now seemed much more experienced than usual. Kled himself was not a magician, but he was now 45 years old and could easily recognize something like that with eye contact. As a bar owner, you meet a lot of different people and over the last 20 years Kled had learned a lot from observing his customers.
"So, you've completed the 100-year quest?" Kled asked excitedly. He still remembered how Naruto told him about the quest on the last evening before he left and how he got it from a private customer. It was difficult to imagine that Naruto, at just 20 years old, would go on such a difficult quest alone and yet here he was standing in front of Kled after 4 long years.
"I'm back, aren't I?" Naruto asked with a smile.
"This is sure to be the next big headline in Weekly Sorcerer. An S-rank mage from Magnolia was the first to complete this difficult quest in 100 years!" Kled said.
"Don't say that too loudly. I want to have some peace before Jason from the Weekly Sorcerer comes to see me or someone else." Naruto said.
Kled laughed slightly "Oh, I'm sorry Naruto. Come to the pub tomorrow. The beer is on the house of course!"
Naruto nodded "Thanks Kled, I'll be there." Naruto said. The two said goodbye to each other and Naruto went to his house and did nothing except taking a shower and sleeping until the next day.
When Naruto woke up, he felt like he had recovered after a long time. He looked out the window and could see the sunset. 'Wow, I must have been more exhausted than I thought.' Naruto thought to himself and then stood up. He stretched once and then quickly put on his brown pants. He then briefly went into the bathroom and brushed his teeth. He's excited to see what's new in the city. He had heard rumors that Fairy Tail was back. At least the members who had disappeared in the last 7 years. He had never really had contact with the magicians from guilds, but Fairy Tail had already interested him back then. After all, it was the strongest guild in all of Fiore at the time.
Naruto walked out of his house and locked the door. His familiar black cloak, as always, covered everything but his boots as he started walking. Naruto walked around the corner and was slightly confused. Many people looked at him and suddenly shouted his name. Naruto simply waved at the people and continued walking down the street.
"Naruto Uzumaki?" someone asked in an excited voice. Naruto sweat dropped as he immediately recognized that voice.
"Yes?" Naruto asked, turning around.
"COOOOOL!" shouted Jason from the Weekly Sorcerer. Jason was a reporter for the Weekly Sorcerer magazine, where you'll find the latest facts about magical matters. He was actually in town to pay a visit to Fairy Tail. When he heard a rumor that an S-rank mage from the city had completed the last 100-year quest, Jason just had to follow up on the lead. He quickly figured out that Naruto was that mage. Someone had heard Naruto and Kled's conversation and of course passed it on straight away. Such information spreads faster than wildfire.
"Is it true that on your long journey you destroyed an entire mountain and even fought a dragon?" Jason asked, his eyes glittering. Notepad and pen in one hand each as a weapon, just waiting to be used.
'How did this information become public?' Naruto thought to himself with sweat on his forehead. He wanted to keep this information secret so that he wouldn't be spied on by the Magic Council. He had always remained under the council's radar, and he actually wanted to keep it that way.
"I'm sorry, that's not how it happened. I didn't encounter any dragons on my long quest, and I certainly didn't destroy an entire mountain." Naruto lied without batting an eyelid.
Jason gave Naruto a calculating look and then made a note of something. "COOL! Tell me, what is the name of your magic and what can you do with it?" Jason asked excitedly.
Naruto couldn't get away from Jason anyway, so he answered some questions for the Weekly Sorcerer magazine. Naruto didn't mind becoming a little more famous. He just didn't want to have much to do with the Magic Council and that's why he kept some things secret, like the meeting with Acnologia.
"COOL! COOL! COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!" Jason shouted, raising his arms. "COOL! SO COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!"
Naruto just left. He had nothing against Jason, but he really didn't need the shouting. Jason waved at Naruto and looked after him with a satisfied smile. 'This week will be the best headline in 7 years. First Fairy Tail comes back and then I accidentally find the magician who completed the 100-year quest.' Jason thought to himself for a moment with a serious expression on his face. He then immediately got a big grin again "COOOOOOL!" he shouted again in his typical manner.
Since the sun was already setting, Naruto could go straight to one of the pubs and not just any one. He went to a pub called High Five. As he walked in, everyone looked at him for a moment. Naruto ignored the usual stares when walking into a bar. He sat down at the bar.
"Naruto! There you are." Kled said, placing a mug of beer in front of Naruto. Naruto accepted the mug and smiled. "Hi Kled, what's the situation?" Naruto asked, taking a sip. He felt alcohol in his throat again for a long time and it felt good.
"Great. I heard that Jason found you." Kled said with a grin. He would never admit it, but he had set Jason on Naruto. He just thought that Naruto should finally become a little better known. The young man was always traveling and rarely stayed in one place. Kled also thought that Naruto should join a guild and finally find more friends there. Naruto didn't have many friends because he was on the road most of the time and rarely stayed in one place for a week.
"Stop it. I still have that screaming of him in my head." Naruto said, thinking about Jason shouting cool all the time like his life depended on it.
"It couldn't have been that bad." Kled said with a laugh. Naruto just continued drinking his beer and remained silent at that statement. Kled calmed down a bit and finished an order for another customer.
Naruto spends the next 3 hours talking to Kled at the bar and drinking a few beers. It was a good evening and Naruto left the bar afterwards with a little less money in his pocket. Naruto didn't really care. He received several million Jewels for completing the 100-year quest. Naruto had one more thing he wanted to do. In Magnolia there was another guild besides Fairy Tail. The guild was called Twilight Ogre. She had been Magnolia's new flagship for a few years now. Naruto had only recently found out what Twilight Ogre had done to Fairy Tail in the last few years. They bullied them and attacked them often. Nobody had done anything about it before and this was about to change.
Naruto very quickly stood in front of the Twilight Ogre building and simply walked into the guild building. Naruto looked around and was disappointed. None of Twilight Ogre's members had strong magical powers.
"Who are you huh?" one of the members asked. Naruto simply walked towards the guild master. "I've been away for 4 long years and a lot has happened in that time. I've heard a lot about you Twilight Ogre." Naruto said.
"It's natural! Everyone knows Twilight Ogre. We're the figurehead of Magnolia!" said the master. "You have strong magical power; would you like to join our guild?" asked the master.
"Not exactly," Naruto said. A white aura suddenly appeared around him. "I've heard what you've been doing with Fairy Tail over the last few years. I've already heard what your motto is." Naruto said.
Each member took a step back at this strong magical power. "Debts will be paid no matter what." Naruto said, looking at the master with a frightening look. "I think it's time for someone to finally call in your debt." Naruto said.
"Hey Master, do you feel this magical power?" asked Mirajane Strauss. Mirajane was the older sister of Elfman and Lisanna. Mirajane was a very pretty young woman and her feminine charms put a smile on every man's face. Her long, snow-white hair falls loosely over her shoulders and as a little highlight she had tied a thicker strand over her forehead. Her sea blue eyes radiate pure friendliness and form a great contrast to her slightly lighter skin. She was currently wearing a pink dress that showed off her curves well.
"Absolutely my dear Mira." said Makarov Dreyer. Makarov Dreyer was the third master of Fairy Tail. Makarov had white hair and a white mustache. He wore a cloak of some kind of green. Underneath he wore a red shirt with a collared camisole peeking out from under it. His pants were plain and dark blue. He also wore brown shoes. Plus, he's not particularly big. However, thanks to his Titan magic, he could easily become as big as a dragon.
The two were currently traveling with a third person. The third person was Erza Scarlet. Erza was a young, attractive woman who was not stingy with her charms. Although she hid her slim body under armor, you could still guess her curves. She protected her upper body with massive armor decorated with an orange cross. She protected her shoulders with a massive armor, as did her forearms and hands. A little incongruous with her armor, she wore a blue short skirt with pleats that didn't even reach her knees. Her slim legs were shown off so well and her feet were in fashionable black boots that end just below the knees. The entire armor was also called Heart Cross Armor! Erza's intense brown eyes created a great contrast to her somewhat light skin. Last but not least, her long scarlet hair was one of the identifying features of Erza, also known as Titania.
The three were currently on their way to Twilight Ogre to discuss finances with the guild. After all, Fairy Tail still owed Twilight Ogre a lot of money. Of course, there was another reason there.
"Oh, my goodness, what's going on?" Mira asked. She giggled slightly behind her hand. They stood in front of Twilight Ogre and were able to watch as someone within the guild simply dismantled Twilight Ogre's members and redecorated the guild hall a bit.
"It seems like someone beat us to it." Erza said.
"I would say that we give the nice gentleman a little help, or what do you think?" Makarov asked with an irritated face. When he found out what Twilight Ogre had done to his beloved children over the last 7 years, he became angrier than he had been in a long time.
"An excellent idea master." Erza said. All 3 went into the guild building. Naruto simply threw one of Twilight Ogre's rental limbs over his shoulder and then destroyed the bar with one simple movement.
He had to duck under a flying body. He stood up and looked behind him. He could see 2 women and a tall older man. "I'm sorry we're so late young man." Makarov said in his tall form.
Naruto immediately understood who that was and just smiled. "You're just in time, the main course was about to be served." Naruto said and like before his white aura appeared around him. The two women simply smiled at the statement. A red aura surrounded Erza and out of nowhere she was wearing a different armor. A golden aura surrounded Makarov, and he grew again a little and was now taller than everyone present. Mirajane had a purple aura surrounding her and out of nowhere she was in her Satan form.
The next hour was spent giving Twilight Ogre a proper lesson. The entire interior of the guild hall was in ruins and every member was lying unconscious in the corner. Only the master was still lying awake in the middle of the guild hall with a few bumps. He cried anime tears and looked at his destroyed guild hall.
The 4 people who caused this chaos now stood in front of the guild and just smiled at each other. Makarov and the two women stood on one side and Naruto stood across from them.
"Thank you, very much young man, for your help. It seems as if someone was looking after my children after all." said the guild master.
"Please Master Makarov, I was traveling for 4 years and didn't know anything about it. I only heard about this situation recently and that's why I only did something today. I was traveling most of the time and that's why I never noticed anything." Naruto said.
"Still, you stood up for Fairy Tail and taught those Twilight Ogre guys a lesson they deserved. For that, I thank you young man." Makarov said with a smile.
"It was an honor for me." Naruto said, bowing.
"Don't you want to come with me, young man? I would like to get to know you a little better. Anyone who supports Fairy Tail is always welcome here." Makarov said with a grin.
"The master is right. It was very honorable of you to represent our guild, Naruto." Erza said with a smile.
"We would be happy if you would come with us Naruto." Mirajane said with the smile that could melt any man's heart.
"I wanted to come one way or another in the next few days. It would be a pleasure to go to Fairy Tail with you." Naruto said with a smile.
Naruto walked with the three Fairy Tail mages to the current guild hall. It was already dark and so most of the members were already back at home. 'What an unexpected turn of events.' Naruto thought to himself.
Naruto looked around and observed the surroundings. The tavern looked run down. There was a kind of stable here and other things around the tavern. Such as a small garden with planted vegetables.
Naruto went into the tavern with the others and looked around. There were a few tables and chairs around and of course a shelf for all the orders. There was also a bar in the building and a few stools in front of it. Next to the bar there was a staircase that leads upstairs.
"Third Master!" someone said and walked towards the 4 people. "Welcome back third master." The person said, bowing slightly. The person appears to be middle-aged. The person had dark blue hair that had a slightly purple tint. The person also had black eyes and a thick mustache the same color as his hair. Under the white coat with blue stripes, the person wore a black top with a light-colored shirt on top. Otherwise, the person also wore brown pants and matching shoes. This person was Macao Conbolt, the fourth guild master of Fairy Tail. He was also the father of Romeo Conbolt. However, Romeo was already at home and already asleep. It was late, after all.
"Thank you, fourth master." said Makarov. Besides Macao, only Wakaba was currently in the guild. Wakaba was a long-time friend of Macao and played his advisor during the seven years when the mages from Tenrō Island had not yet returned. He had brown hair and a brown beard and had his eyes closed most of the time. He wore a yellow shirt under his dark jacket with fur. He also wore blue pants with a black belt and matching shoes.
"This is Naruto Uzumaki. When we got to Twilight Ogre, he was already taking care of the guys." said Makarov and of course Macao knew straight away what he meant.
"Wait, Naruto Uzumaki? Aren't you the S-rank magician who is always on long journeys and lives here in Magnolia? You haven't joined a guild yet or am I wrong?" Macao asked. He had already heard a thing or two from Naruto.
"Yes, I am. I'm sorry I didn't take care of those bastards sooner. Unfortunately, I was never in town long enough to notice." Naruto said as he bows.
"Oh no! We thank you for standing up for us, Naruto." Wakaba said with a smile.
"It's an honor to meet you." Naruto said, shaking hands with the two older men.
"You are always welcome here Naruto. Where have you been the last few years? I haven't heard from you in 4 years." Macao said as everyone present went to the bar and Mirajane went behind the bar. She prepared a beer for all the men and put them on the bar. She smiled particularly happily at Naruto. It had been a long time since anyone had even remotely aroused her interest in the sense that Naruto had managed to arouse in her. He was definitely an extremely strong magician. Stronger than herself and Erza, she could say that for sure.
"Thank you, Mirajane." said Naruto and placed a big chunk of Jewels on the counter. "The rest is for you." Naruto said, winking at her once. He took his mug and drank once from it.
"N-Naruto, I can't accept that! That's way too much money!" Mirajane said slightly shocked.
"Nothing there. I got enough money from my last job to do something like that." Naruto said and looked around once. "Please don't get me wrong, I think you could use some money right now. I just want to support you." Naruto said, taking another sip.
Mirajane took all the money and smiled broadly "Ok, thank you very much Naruto! Thank you very much!" Mirajane said.
"That was very generous of you Naruto." Erza said with some respect in her voice. She appreciated such gestures from other people. Naruto meant well and didn't feel sorry for anyone present. He just wanted to help and nothing more. Naruto was a good man and that's why she was happy to have found him with the others. He would definitely fit in Fairy Tail.
He also seemed to place great value on others. When she walked back to the tavern with the three of them, Naruto caught Mirajane once and saved her from the cold ground. She stumbled slightly once and would have fallen, but Naruto's quick action defused the situation. Naruto had also caught Mira in exactly those places on her body where it wouldn't be the least bit embarrassing for a woman.
Naruto and the others were still talking and laughing a lot together. Naruto really enjoyed his time with the Fairy Tail mages for the next 2 hours. "Ok, I should probably go home slowly." Naruto said standing up from his stool.
"How about you join Fairy Tail, Naruto?" Makarov asked with a warm smile. Naruto was exactly the type of person who fits into Fairy Tail. Makarov had been watching Naruto closely over the last few hours and studying his manner a little more closely. Everything was exactly as it should be with a good-natured, strong young man. Naruto was a calm, focused, kind-hearted and, above all, strong person. Makarov could see it in Naruto's eyes that he had already gained a lot of experience. Naruto had told a bit about his last assignment and other assignments where he was away for longer and longer periods of time.
Naruto looked at Makarov and seemed thoughtful. He said nothing and none of the others made any sound. It was completely silent in the building, after all everyone was waiting for Naruto's answer. Everyone thought Naruto fits in perfectly in Fairy Tail. With his status as an S-rank magician and his strength, they would also get a new strong ally. With Naruto, Fairy Tail would have one more S-rank magician.
'Should I really join a guild after all this time?' Naruto thought to himself. He had always been on the move and had never had the need to join a guild. So far there hadn't been any that have piqued his interest, except for Fairy Tail. He had decided not to live as before and to constantly travel. He actually wanted to stay in one place and joining a guild would be an option. 'What do I have to lose? The guild that was the only one that interested me so far gave me the opportunity to join and so far, I can definitely say that every member likes each other.' Naruto thought to himself.
He started to smile "It would be an honor to join your guild, Master." Naruto said. Everyone present started grinning and was happy about this answer. Mirajane got the stamp for Naruto while everyone welcomed him to the guild and shared a laugh with him.
"Where would you like it and what color?" Mirajane asked with a cheerful smile. Naruto lifted up his black t-shirt and pointed to his right chest area. "Here in black please." Naruto said. Mirajane got a slight shade of pink on her cheeks when she saw Naruto's upper body. She pressed the stamp where Naruto had shown her. You could briefly see a glow under the stamp and after a short moment Mirajane took the stamp away again and now everyone could see the black Fairy Tail crest on Naruto's body.
Makarov raised his mug of beer "To our new member and our newest S-rank mage!" said Makarov. Everyone toasted, Naruto ended up staying in the tavern for another 2 hours until everyone said goodbye. It was the middle of the night, and everyone was tired.
Naruto smiled a little as he thought about today. 'Whether it was fate or not, I don't regret joining this guild one bit.' Naruto thought to himself.
Naruto walked down the long path that lead to the tavern. He had a smile on his face and the stronger wind caused his cloak to move slightly, revealing his black T-shirt, brown pants, gray belt and black boots. He's really excited to see what's going to happen today.
Today he would meet the other members of Fairy Tail. Naruto definitely knew that there had to be at least 3 Dragon Slayers in Fairy Tail. Natsu Dragneel, Gajeel Redfox and Wendy Marvel were the names of the three as far as he remembers.
He arrived at the tavern very quickly and smiled at the sight of all the smiling faces. Naruto could literally feel the good vibes in the air. 'This guild really is exactly how I imagined it would be.' Naruto thought to himself.
"Oh hello, are you Naruto Uzumaki by any chance?" asked Lisanna Strauss. She was outside the building picking some berries from a hedge.
Naruto smiled and nodded "At your service. You must be Mirajane's little sister, right?" Naruto asked.
Lisanna nodded with a cheerful smile. "Yes! My sister told us everything yesterday! Welcome to our guild Naruto!" Lisanna said.
"Thank you, I'm happy to be here." Naruto said. 'She is very friendly, just like Mira.' Naruto thought to himself. Lisanna had snow-white hair and light blue eyes, just like her sister. Her hair was just shorter and reached her shoulders. She was wearing a brown top, blue pants and black shoes.
"The others had already found out about you; we were all excited to see what you're like. The others haven't said what you're like yet." Lisanna said.
"I hope I make a good impression." Naruto said.
"What you can bet on." Lisanna said with a smile. She could see straight away that Naruto was a warm-hearted person. Her sister hadn't said anything directly about it, but she still gave some hints.
"I'll go to the master and introduce myself properly to the others." Naruto said. Lisanna nodded and waved after him briefly before continuing with her activity. After all, she wanted to prepare something nice for Happy and Natsu and for that she needed these berries. There weren't many Official Couples in the guild, but Lisanna and Natsu were definitely a couple. Ever since they were young, the two of them were like one heart and one soul. Everyone could see that over the years the two of them felt more than just friendship for each other and at some point Natsu took the first step and confessed his love to Lisanna. Lisanna was the happiest person in the world at that moment and immediately afterwards the two had their first kiss. The reaction from the otherwise energetic Natsu was simply sweet in Lisanna's eyes. She loved him more than anything and with Happy the three of them were like a little family. Happy was like the first born of the two.
The two of them found Happy as an egg together and took care of him and raised him. Happy even called Lisanna partly mom at one point.
Naruto went into the tavern and looked around. Today almost all members of Fairy Tail were there with the exception of a few members like Laxus and the Thunder God Tribe.
"Ah Naruto my boy, come here." Makarov said with a beer in his hand. In the next hour, Naruto got to know all the members and introduced himself once again.
For one thing, there would be Gray Fullbuster. Gray had black hair and eyes. He wore a white coat with blue stripes, similar to Macao's, and underneath he wore a simple black shirt. Otherwise, he wore dark blue pants and black shoes. There was a silver chain hidden under his black shirt. He was a user of Ice Make and could use it to create and control ice forms from nothing. For example, he could create a shield or a large hammer out of ice and use them either to attack or to distribute. Naruto quickly saw that Gray subconsciously likes to take off his clothes.
Next there would be Cana Alberone. She had long dark brown hair and eyes of the same color. She only wore a blue bikini top on her upper body and also blue pants and black shoes. She knew card magic. She was also the heaviest drinker in all of Fairy Tail.
Of course, you couldn't forget Lisanna and Mirajane's brother. Elfman Strauss was a big guy, taller than Naruto himself. He had a muscular body and was currently wearing a white martial arts top. The top was tied with a black ribbon. He also wore white pants that also looked like martial arts pants. Elfman also wore black sandals and white socks. He often called out the word man and compares everything to a man. His first comment to Naruto was that Naruto was a real man because he had protected the guild. Like his two sisters, Elfman was a takeover mage using Beast Soul . Mirajane used Satan Soul and Lisanna used Animal Soul .
In addition to these people, Naruto also met the Shadow Gear team. The team consisted of 3 members. Jet, Dray and Levy. Naruto could see straight away that Jet and Droy obviously had more than just friendship for Levy.
(A/N You should know what the remaining members of Fairy Tail look like and that's why I'm skipping the remaining members for now.)
"Hey Naruto!" Natsu said. Naruto put his mug down and looked at Natsu. "Yes Natsu?" Naruto asked.
"Come on, let's fight! I want to know how strong you are!" Natsu said. Both of his fists were already engulfed in flames, and he had a grin on his lips.
Naruto looked at him slightly confused. "This is Natsu's way of welcoming a new member. He loves to compete with others and become stronger with them." Mirajane said with a smile.
Naruto now understood and got a smile on his lips. "Why not Natsu. Let me just finish my beer and then we can go outside." Naruto said with a smile.
"You're okay Naruto." Natsu said with a wide grin. He likes anyone who would fight with him. "AYE SIR!" Happy said. Happy was currently flying in the air next to Natsu. Many members laughed at the two's reactions.
A few minutes later, Naruto and Natsu were standing on a grassy area a little away from the tavern. On the sidelines stood Lisanna with Happy in her arms, Mirajane, Elfman, Lucy, Erza and Gray.
"On a good fight Natsu." Naruto said. He's really excited to see how strong Natsu was. He had heard a lot about the Salamander from Fairy Tail in the past.
"I'm already fired up!" Natsu said. He charged, engulfing both fists in flames. Naruto blocked Natsu's first two punches and hit him first in the cheek and then in the head, causing Natsu to crash into the ground and create a slight hollow.
"Wow! Naruto took down Natsu with just one arm!" Lucy said, slightly surprised. She hadn't spoken to Naruto himself yet, but she thought she knew him from somewhere. Even before they disappeared back then. She knew one thing for sure. Naruto was a hot guy, and she would be lying if he wasn't good looking.
It wasn't unusual for someone like Naruto to trigger such reactions from the female gender. Strong and good-looking men attract women. If the man also had a good character, that was a stronger attraction factor.
"You're right. He fought off Natsu without any problems. He seems very adept at unarmed combat." Erza said. She had her arms crossed over her chest and was watching with interest. She naturally believed that Naruto was worthy of the title of S-rank mage. After all, he completed a 100-year quest all by himself. The last time such a quest was successfully completed was before she was born. In addition to Naruto's 100-year quest, there were of course other quests that hadn't been completed for 100 years. Many of them were still open.
Natsu went into a handstand and engulfed his foot in flames. He pushed himself off and wanted to kick Naruto. Naruto easily caught the foot and lifted Natsu up. He tossed him around several times and let him go. Natsu steadied himself in flight and grinned.
"Awesome! You're really strong!" Natsu said. As he landed, he pushed himself off, engulfing his entire body in flames. "FIRE DRAGON SWORD HORN!" Natsu shouted. Natsu's head collided with Naruto's crossed arms. When this happened, Naruto stomped on the ground once. The ground glowed white for a moment and immediately afterwards the ground was shattered, and a small crater formed under Naruto. This action reduced the strength of Natsu's attack. Naruto punched Natsu in the stomach, causing Natsu to fly away again.
"Very good idea from Naruto. Because of his action, Natsu's attack lost a lot of power." Erza commented. The others continued to just watch, excited to see what else they would see.
Natsu landed on his feet and took a deep breath. Naruto raised an eyebrow as he saw Natsu's stomach expand in an abnormal way. "FIRE DRAGON ROAR!" Natsu shouted. He let all the magical power in his stomach pour out of his mouth, creating a massive jet of flame that flew straight towards Naruto.
Naruto smiled and raised his arm at the sight of the flames. When the flames touched his palm, he shattered them. Naruto briefly emitted a white glow and immediately afterwards the flames began to dissipate into hundreds of cubes.
"HEY! THAT'S UNFAIR!" Natsu shouted. He stomped on the spot and raised his arms dramatically. "Why can you just cancel my magic like that!"
"This is my crush magic Natsu. With my magic I can crush anything I touch. Magic is no exception." Naruto said and grinned. The members of Fairy Tail were amazed. Until now, no one had known exactly what kind of magic Naruto used. When they heard that, they were slightly surprised. This magic was very strong, that much was clear to everyone.
"Still, I will defeat you!" Natsu said with an angry face. He charged at Naruto "FIRE DRAGON IRON FIST!" Natsu shouted. He struck Naruto's arm with his flaming fist. Naruto didn't move a bit. Natsu received an elbow to his side and another punch to his chest that sent him sliding across the floor.
"Naruto is a real man! He hasn't moved a bit yet." Elfman said.
"You're right, Naruto is really very strong. Natsu's attacks have been completely pointless so far." Mira said with a smile.
"AYE!" Happy said in Lisanna's arms. Lisanna giggled slightly and was a little surprised herself. Of course, she knew that Naruto was stronger than her Natsu. Nevertheless, this spectacle of strength was impressive.
Natsu sprinted towards Naruto and engulfed both of his hands in flames. He made a movement like a dragon's wing and attacked Naruto. "FIRE DRAGON WING ATTACK!" Naruto blocked the attack with both arms and then leaned his body back slightly to avoid a flying kick from Natsu. He snatched the leg out of the air and threw Natsu away again. Natsu fired a jet of flame and Naruto simply shattered it again. The flames split again into hundreds of cubes.
Natsu used the jet of flame as a distraction and jumped up. His foot was covered in flames, and he used it to attack Naruto. "FIRE DRAGON TALON!" Naruto raised his arm and smashed the ground beneath him again. This action caused the crater under Naruto's feet to become slightly larger and the power of Natsu's attack was weakened.
Natsu landed directly in front of Naruto and attacked with flaming fists. As before, Naruto blocked the punches with just one arm and when he saw an opening, he let his own fist fly forward. He first gave Natsu an uppercut and then Natsu received a punch to the upper body. Natsu flew away again due to the force and landed on the ground.
Natsu gritted his teeth as he felt the pain. 'Damn, Naruto is really fucking strong.' Natsu thought to himself.
"Naruto beats Natsu with just one arm!" Lucy said slightly dramatically. She couldn't believe that Natsu would be taken down like that and only with one arm. On the other hand, her cheeks turned slightly pink at the sight of Naruto's strength.
"You liiiikeeee him." Happy said in a long drawl. He put his paws over his mouth and laughed comically.
"SHUT UP YOU STUPID CAT!" Lucy shouted angrily. Everyone had to laugh, except Natsu and Naruto. They were still fighting right now.
"FIRE DRAGON IRON FIST!" Natsu hit Naruto's arm with his attack and like before, Naruto blocked the attack without any problems. Natsu gritted his teeth and jumped up. He engulfed his foot in flames. "FIRE DRAGON TALON!"
Naruto ducked and the kick glided over Naruto. Natsu's body was suddenly completely engulfed in flames.
"Does he want to?" Lisanna asked, slightly surprised. She could already imagine what her friend would do now. After all, she was on a team with him and Happy and always went on assignments with them.
"DRAGON SLAYER SECRET ART: FIRE LOTUS: EXPLODING FLAME BLADE!" Natsu rotated once in the air and made a twisting motion with his arms. Naruto raised an arm and covered it in crush magic.
The two were engulfed in a massive flame and an explosion followed shortly after. All spectators held their arms in front of their eyes and watched the spectacle with excitement.
When the explosion died down, Natsu stood at the position where he had carried out the attack. When the dust cloud cleared everyone could see that Naruto's cloak now had several burn holes. You could see on the ground that Naruto slipped back about 2 steps. He still held his arm in front of his face. Other than the few burn holes in his cloak, Naruto didn't have a single injury.
Natsu started laughing loudly "HAHAHAHA! YOU LOOKING NOW HUH? I MOVED YOU!" Natsu shouted at first and then started to stagger slightly on the spot. Natsu himself had a few scratches from all the hits he had taken himself.
Naruto let his arm fall back to his side and looked at his cloak. "I'll probably need a new one." Naruto simply said. The audience sweated a bit as they heard Naruto's reaction to the attack. He only seemed to be worried about his cloak and not about the previous situation where he was essentially surrounded by flames.
"Wow, Naruto is stronger than I thought." Gray said. He had been quiet so far because he first needed to get a complete picture of the strength of the new member. He liked Naruto, he was calm and not as annoying as the pink haired sparrow brain that Naruto was currently fighting. He was sure that he was at least on par with Natsu himself and seeing Natsu get beaten up like that definitely showed Gray that he had no chance against Naruto. Especially not with Naruto's magic, where he can easily shatter other people's magic with a simple touch.
"You're right. A truly impressive demonstration of his strength." Erza said. She could already tell that Naruto was stronger than her or Mira. She and her rival were also S-rank magicians, but she didn't know if she and Mira together would have a chance against Naruto at the moment. He hadn't even used his full strength yet. Erza herself couldn't take Natsu's attacks so easily, even with her armor, which allowed her to weaken fire attacks by half.
"Naruto is a real man!" Elfman said as always in such a situation.
"That was impressive Natsu. You're really strong." Naruto said with a smile. It wasn't often that someone could move Naruto in a fight like this.
"Just be careful..." Natsu said, still staggering on the spot with a slightly dazed look. "I... will... show you!"
Lisanna giggled at her boyfriend's behavior. She smiled, knowing full well that Natsu will have a new goal from now on. It's been a while since he's been this excited to fight someone. Since Erza often went on missions with her, Natsu and Happy, it became less and less common that Natsu wanted to fight Erza. Now Natsu had found someone new to help fuel him.
"Your technique is very good Natsu, but you can't just rush at your opponent without a plan." Naruto said. Natsu became a little clearer again and looked at Naruto carefully. He seemed to really be listening to what Naruto was saying.
"Always remember Natsu, sometimes it's better to wait and only act when you know your opponent a little better." Naruto explained. "For example, you didn't know my abilities..." Naruto was explaining to Natsu one thing or another about why you didn't rush straight at your opponent without a plan.
Erza smiled at the sight. Naruto had an effect on Natsu. She hadn't seen anything like that in a long time. Natsu never really listens in moments like this, he just carried on. Now Natsu seems to be really listening and thinking about what Naruto was telling him.
The others had similar thoughts. Everyone agreed that Naruto cares about his comrades and helps them as much as possible. Starting with something as simple as giving tips.
"...think about it Natsu. It's important if your goal is to become an S-rank mage." Naruto said and then became quiet. His expression returned to normal and when he saw Natsu's thoughtful face he smiled slightly. 'Seems like I achieved something with my explanation.' Naruto thought to himself.
"Just be careful!" Natsu said after a few moments. "I will take everything into account and next time I will defeat you!" Natsu said with a cheeky grin.
Naruto also grinned "I'm looking forward to it Natsu. Just don't think I'll hold back." Naruto said.
"OK, I'M HUNGRY!" Natsu shouted, rushing towards his girlfriend. Everyone got to see how Natsu picked up his girlfriend like a bride and stormed off to the tavern with her, leaving a big cloud of dust behind her. Lisanna's giggles could still be heard while the cloud of dust blocked their view.
Naruto also started walking towards the tavern. His lips automatically formed a smile when he saw the members of his guild. 'My guild huh?' Naruto thought to himself. He still hadn't fully realized that from now on he would belong to a community and not always be alone. He definitely liked this feeling, and he would do anything for his new comrades.
"Hey Naruto!" Lucy said. Naruto was just arriving at the audience and Lucy was the first to speak to Naruto. "Lucy, right?" Naruto asked with a smile.
Lucy nodded "That was amazing!" Lucy said.
Naruto thanked her and then went back to the tavern with the others. Once there, individual groups formed again at several tables. Naruto was currently sitting at the bar next to Wakaba again. "Tell Wakaba, I never see you without a cigar in your mouth. Does your magic have anything to do with it?" Naruto asked. Naruto couldn't imagine why Wakaba would always have a cigar in his mouth. Smoking is all well and good, but you really never see Wakaba without something between his teeth.
"You're absolutely right Naruto. I use smoke magic." Wakaba said. A white magic circle briefly appeared in front of his cigar and smoke emanated from the cigar, which was directed through the magic circle and took the shape of a fist.
Naruto was amazed. He really hadn't seen magic like this before. "I see, then it's no wonder." Naruto said. He took a sip of his drink and then placed it back on the bar.
"HEY NARUTO!" someone shouted from one of the tables. Naruto turned to the table and could see Lucy. She was currently sitting at a table with Gajeel, Levy and Lily. "I'll be with the others." Naruto said to Wakaba, and he simply nodded and continued smoking his cigar in peace.
Naruto sat down at the table. Lucy, Levy and Gajeel were each sitting on a chair. Lily just stood around on the table right next to Gajeel and Levy. "So, what's wrong Lucy?" Naruto asked. He took another sip and looked at Lucy.
"We have accepted a new quest and wanted to ask if you would like to accompany us." Levy said with a smile. Team Shadowgear still exists, of course, but she also occasionally took on assignments with Gajeel and Lily. After all, Gajeel was... you know.
"Why not? What's it about?" Naruto asked. He's had a few days of relaxation and was now ready to take on a new assignment. He didn't want to go on such long trips anymore, but normal assignments were still possible.
"We're supposed to take out some lizardmen." Gajeel said.
Naruto looked at the mission description and nodded. "I see. No wonder why you asked me." Naruto said. The lizardmen could use magic and with Naruto this job would be much easier. He could just crush the magicians while the others finish off the lizardmen.
"Your magic is perfect for this task." Lucy said with a smile.
The group of an Exceed and 4 people were currently sitting in a carriage. Naruto and Lucy sat on one side and Gajeel, Levy and Lily on the other side.
"What's wrong with Gajeel?" Naruto asked. Gajeel was quite pale and held his hand over his mouth. His entire body was also covered in sweat.
"That's because of his status as a Dragon Slayer." Lily explained. "Dragonslayers all have a problem with travel means. It's not exactly known why all Dragonslayers of a certain level get motion sickness, but that's how it is."
"Don't Dragonslayers have heightened senses such as better smell, better hearing, and other heightened characteristics? It could be because Dragonslayers are all more perceptive." Naruto said. It was just a guess, of course, but it sounded plausible.
"That sounds logical." Lucy said with a nod. She hadn't even thought about it. It's true that Natsu, Wendy and Gajeel had a much more sensitive nose than the other members of Fairy Tail. They were also the first to listen to Acnologia on Tenrō back then.
"That would explain why Natsu and Gajeel are affected by this. Wendy is not yet as strong as them and her senses are not yet as developed as Natsu and Gajeel." Levy said, looking at Gajeel.
"We should be prepared for something. If I remember correctly, the lizardmen in the area can do all molding magic. I've already fought against some from a tribe near the target location. The lizardmen from that tribe can all do lighting make . With this they were able to create all lightning constructs. Basically, the lightning version of Gray's magic." Naruto explained.
"Ah I see. So, there are several tribes, and each tribe has decided on an element. Right?" Levy asked.
"Right. I only took out a few of the lizardmen from the tribe and not the whole tribe. So, it could well be that it's the tribe that uses Lightning Make. As I remember, the neighboring tribes are on Fire Make and Iron Make specialized." Naruto said.
"Let's hope we're dealing with lizard people from the tribe who know Iron Make. Iron Make won't do anything against Gajeel." Lily said.
"You're right. Gajeel is the Iron Dragon Slayer after all." Levy said.
There was a bit of small talk during the rest of the journey. Levy looked after Gajeel the whole time and Naruto looked out the window at a certain point. Before everyone met the next day to take the carriage to the job site, Naruto got himself a new cloak. It was exactly the same as before. He no longer had any burn holes in his cloak. While Naruto was sitting you could clearly see his clothing as he had his arms outside of the cloak.
"We are there!" said the coachman and as soon as the carriage stopped, Gajeel suddenly felt fine again. He was the first to rush out of the carriage. He was probably still a little woozy, but otherwise he seemed fine. The sweat was gone, his skin had color back and in general he wasn't shaking all the time like before.
The others left the carriage normally and thanked the coachman. Naruto paid for the 5 and then the coachman drove away again. "Is it okay Gajeel? Can we get going?" Naruto asked.
"Yes. By the time we got to the lizard people, my body had completely regenerated." Gajeel said, his voice still slightly weak. Naruto got a little sweat on his forehead. 'I'm glad I'm not a Dragon Slayer.' Naruto thought to himself.
"Lily, could you keep an eye out from the air and let us know if you see anything?" Levy asked.
"Will be done." Lily said. Naruto was able to watch as Lily grew white wings, and he simply flew into the sky. Before the group could even deal with the lizard people, they first had to find the lizard people. After all, there is a huge forest stretching out in front of them. It took 2 weeks to cross this forest on foot.
Naruto and the others started walking. Naruto didn't have special hearing like Gajeel or anything like that, he just had gotten better hearing than others over time. On all of his travels he was always alone, and, on some missions, Naruto always had to be completely aware of his surroundings 24/7. Otherwise, he might no longer be alive. Naruto's gaze was currently focused and didn't resemble the usual look he has.
Naruto had heightened all of his senses through his long and hard training, both during and between his travels. He had developed a kind of sixth sense. This always told him directly if something happened around him.
After 2 hours of walking, Naruto turned to the side and stood in front of Lucy. He raised his arm and shattered a spear of lightning magic. "They are there." Naruto said. Lily joined them a few minutes ago because he wanted to conserve some magical power. Having his wings active all the time took a lot of energy, even for an Exceed like Lily.
"TRANSFORM!" A silver magic circle appeared around Lily. He started to glow brightly. He grew until he was taller than Naruto. As the light settled around Lily, he was now in his soldier mode, as he likes to call it. In this mode, Lily had a very muscular body that puts even Laxus to shame. The small sword on his back had also become much larger. He took the sword from his back and held it in front of him and readied himself.
"SUMMON: SAGITTARIUS!" Lucy took a Golden Gate Key and used it to summon one of the 12 legendary Stellar Spirits. In a golden light, Sagittarius appeared with his bow in hand. "You called Miss Lucy?" Sagittarius asked, saluting Lucy. He wore a strange headgear in the shape of a horse.
"SOLID SCRIPT: IRON!" Levy used her magic and made iron appear in front of Gajeel. Gajeel still wasn't full of energy. "Thanks Levy." Gajeel said and started to simply eat the iron, and this replenished his energies.
"Alright!" Gajeel said. A green aura could be seen around him, signaling his full reserves. "Well, then we should say hello to our reception committee." Gajeel said with a grin.
Shortly afterwards the first lizard people came from between the trees. Naruto was already running towards the lizard people and was ready. The lizardmen were all about the same size as adult humans. They all had thick scales and a powerful tail. They all had sharp teeth in their snouts. (A/N The Lizardmen from Overlord)
"LIGHTNING MAKE: TIGER!" One of the lizardmen clapped his claws together. A large tiger made of lightning appeared in front of him and ran towards Naruto. Naruto crushed the tiger with a Crush Pulse. The tiger began to split into countless cubes.
"IRON DRAGON SWORD!" Gajeel was right behind Naruto and took advantage of the moment where Naruto smashed the tiger. His left arm turned into a sword. He ran around Naruto and attacked a lizard man with his sword. The lizardman thought that with his hard scales he could easily withstand the sword and so he simply raised one arm. The Sword of Gajeel was not a normal sword, as it also has serrations around the blade similar to a chainsaw, which could rotate quickly around the blade, creating a similar effect to a chainsaw. Gajeel's sword slid through the lizardman's arm like butter, separating the arm from the rest of the body.
The lizardman's pupils shrank as he realized the pain. He cried out in pain. Gajeel didn't stop there as he used his sword and simply cut the lizardman completely in half. He swung his sword once from top to bottom. The lizard man could only briefly see his vision split briefly and then his body fell into two halves.
"Sagittarius, shoot!" Lucy said. Sagittarius fired several arrows, hitting several lizardmen in areas of the body that were not protected by the hard scales.
"SOLID SCRIPT: FIRE!" Levy wrote the word Fire in the air with her magic and from there a strong fire emerged that flew towards the lizardmen.
"LIGHTNING MAKE: SHIELD!" One of the lizardmen used his magic to create a lightning shield, blocking the fire. The fire bounced off the shield and spread slightly.
"LIGHTNING MAKE: DRAGON!" A lizardman clapped his claws together and immediately after, a large lightning dragon formed in front of him. The dragon roared once, generating some wind. The dragon flew off and attacked the two women and the Stellar Spirit, both of whom were standing in the background.
"SOLID SCRIPT: BARRIER!" Levy wrote the word Barrier in front of herself, Lucy and Sagittarius, creating a barrier in front of the three. The dragon crashed into Levy's barrier and tried to break through the barrier. He growled menacingly and roared again as he rubbed against the barrier. Sagittarius fired several arrows at the dragon, seeming to weaken it. The dragon dissolved after a few moments and immediately afterwards the barrier also dissolved in front of the three.
Naruto crushed a lion of lightning and coated his fist in crush magic. He punched a lizardman. A sonic boom sounded as Naruto's fist contacted the lizardman's chest. A slight crater appeared beneath Naruto before the lizardman lifted off the ground and shot through the air. Several rings of air were created around him due to the high speed that the lizard man had.
The lizardman flew through his comrades, throwing them all to the side. The lizard man was no longer visible pretty quickly because he simply disappeared into the forest and crashed through countless trees.
When the sonic boom sounded, all the fighting stopped briefly, and everyone looked at Naruto. He was still standing there with his arm outstretched. This moment only lasted 5 seconds, but everyone felt the power of Naruto's magical power.
"IRON DRAGON CLUB!" Gajeel's arm transformed into an iron club and simply extended. The iron club rammed into some lizardmen, causing raw damage. If the lizardmen didn't have such hard scales, they would have sustained much more serious injuries.
"LIGHTNING MAKE: HAMMER!" One of the lizardmen clapped his claws together and a large hammer made of lightning appeared directly above Gajeel. The lizardman made a downward motion with his claws and the hammer crashed into Gajeel's position. An explosion of lightning followed and immediately after, a cloud of dust was kicked up.
"GAJEEL!" Levy shouted.
Lily was sure his partner was okay and so he just kept fighting. He dodged a tiger of lightning and swung his sword down. The lizard man dodged and turned once. His powerful tail attacked Lily. Lily jumped over the tail and punched the lizardman square in the face. The lizardman was briefly disoriented by the blow. Lily took the chance and swung his sword. The sword separated the head from the rest of the body, completely defeating him.
"LIGHTNING MAKE: BLADE OF ZEUS!" Naruto looked up and could see a massive sword of lightning forming over the forest. 'This isn't one of the normal lizard people.' Naruto thought to himself. None of the normal lizardmen could produce such a powerful attack. If anything, the leader of the tribe.
"H-hey isn't that a little big?" Lucy asked slightly nervously as she looked up. Levy swallowed slightly when she saw the size of the sword. It was probably as big as the old guild hall.
"PAY ATTENTION!" Naruto shouted, already running towards the two girls. Gajeel and Lily did the same. The leader of the tribe just growled with his arms raised. He made a downward movement and immediately afterwards the sword flew down onto the forest like a meteor.
"IRON DRAGON ROAR!" Gajeel took a deep breath and then fired his attack in the direction of the sword. Naruto jumped towards the sword, making everyone's eyes widen. "NARUTOOOO!" Lucy called after him. Gajeel found that his attack wasn't enough to disable this massive sword.
"YOU WILL NOT CRASH DOWN ON MY COMRADES!" Naruto shouted, holding both hands in front of him as he flew towards the sword. The sword collided against Naruto's palms and seemed to stop briefly. Everyone presents could see a white aura pulsating around Naruto. The sword began to split into countless cubes and immediately after that the sword simply disintegrated. Naruto had successfully shattered the sword, preventing much damage. Not only on the side of the 5 Fairy Tail mages, but also on the side of the lizardmen. This attack would also have affected a large portion of the lizardmen.
Naruto landed in a crouch again after a few seconds and stood up. "Everything ok with you?" Naruto asked.
"Yes, thank you Naruto! You protected us all!" Lucy said with a smile and slightly pink cheeks.
"Of course, only because I weakened the sword beforehand." Gajeel said slightly annoyed. He would have easily stopped the sword with another attack!
Levy giggled slightly at the reaction and Lily simply sighed. His partner was sometimes just like Natsu in these situations, although he was generally calmer than Natsu.
"It's not over yet." Lily said, holding his sword ready. The Lizardmen's claws all began to glow. "Go on!" Gajeel said and stormed off again with Naruto and Lily at his side.
Like before, Sagittarius shot arrows at all the lizard people and hit a few too. This time most of them were able to protect the soft areas on their bodies with their hard scales.
"LIGHTNING MAKE: DRAGON!"
"LIGHTNING MAKE: TIGER!"
"LIGHTNING MAKE: WOLF!"
"LIGHTNING MAKE: HAMMER!"
"LIGHTNING MAKE: ARROW'S!"
"LIGHTNING MAKE: LANCE!"
Countless lightning attacks formed before they were all fired at the Fairy Tail mages. Naruto jumped back, dodging the lightning wolf. As the wolf hit the ground, there was a lightning explosion. He held out his right arm and crushed the tiger with a Crush Pulse. The tiger divided itself into countless cubes and then disappeared.
"IRON DRAGON LANCE!" Gajeel dodged the hammer of lightning and transformed his arm into a lance. When the hammer hit the earth, there was an explosion of lightning. He held the lance in the direction of the attacks of all the lizard people "DEMON LOGS!" A large green magic circle appeared in front of Gajeel, and countless lances flew out of it, colliding with the lightning lances and thus negating them.
"SOLID SCRIPT: HURRICANE!" Levy wrote the word hurricane in front of her and immediately afterwards an extremely strong wind appeared that simply swept all the lightning arrows away towards the sky and they dissolved. The strong wind even hit some lizardmen and sent them flying.
Naruto landed right in front of a lizardman and coated his fist in crush magic. He delivered a fatal punch, hitting the lizardman square in the face. There was another sonic boom and, like before, the lizardman shot through the air and simply threw all the lizardmen in the way to the side. Due to its high speed, it even created several air rings in flight.
Strangely enough, the lightning dragon didn't fly straight towards all the Fairy Tail mages but made a wide arc and wanted to catch the two women from behind.
"SUMMON: LOKI!" Lucy saw all this and took another golden gate key in her hand and summoned Loki. Loki appeared in a golden light. He knew straight away what was going on and jumped towards the dragon.
"REGULUS IMPACT!" A golden magic circle appeared in front of Loki. A lion's head shot out of the magic circle and was on fire. The attack collided with the lightning dragon immediately after which there was an explosion in the air.
"Thank you, Loki." Lucy said with a smile. "You're beautiful as always Lucy." Loki said with a charming smile. He stood in front of Lucy and knelt down in front of her.
"Be quiet." Lucy said and then looked back at the fight. There were still some Lizardmen left, although many had been defeated so far. The order stated that they were to take out a group of 10 lizardmen with blue scales. In any case, they had already done that and had basically completed the job. The tribe of lizardmen who could use Lightning have generally blue scales.
Naruto shattered a lightning attack with a crush pulse and blinked briefly afterward. All of the lizard people suddenly started running back into the forest. The chief of the tribe seemed to have asked the lizardmen to retreat.
The Fairy Tail mages all gathered together and asked if anyone was hurt. Gajeel and Lily got a few scrapes, but other than that no one had any major visible injuries.
"Ok, we've completed our mission. Gajeel, can you get the evidence?" Naruto asked. Gajeel nodded and walked over to the lizardmen's bodies. So that the client also believed that the lizard people were really history, he wanted a souvenir. Gajeel used his Iron Dragon Sword and simply cut off the tips of each lizardman's tails and stored them in a special jar.
Naruto just woke up and yawned once. Yesterday he returned successfully from the assignment with the others and then everyone said goodbye to each other. When everyone arrived back in Magnolia, it was already dark.
Naruto stood up and smiled as he thought about yesterday. It was a nice feeling to travel with comrades and have someone to talk to. He had to say that he often would have liked to had someone to talk to on his longer trips. He got ready and then went out of his house. Naruto adjusted his cloak once and then set off.
A few minutes later he arrived at the tavern. He greeted a few guild members and then sat down at the bar. "Hey Mira, a beer." Naruto said.
"Coming right up, Naruto!" Mirajane said cheerfully as always. After a few moments she placed a mug of beer in front of Naruto. Naruto put some money on the bar and Mira accepted the money with a smile. This time it was just a normal amount and not a huge stack like last time.
Naruto was the only one who paid for beer or something similar in the guild. It wasn't surprising at the moment. Even though 2 weeks have passed since the magicians of Fairy Tail arrived back in Magnolia, everyone was still pretty short on cash.
"Thanks Naruto." Mirajane said. Someone wanted another beer and so she had to leave Naruto alone for a moment. It didn't bother Naruto because he still noticed a lot. For example, Gray and Natsu were arguing about something right now. He had already noticed that this guild likes to fight among themselves.
He took a sip of his beer and put it down. It was probably only midday, but you couldn't go wrong with a beer before work. He would immediately look at the quest board and then see whether he would accept one. Maybe he would go off alone today or again with a team like yesterday.
When he finished his beer, he went to the request board and looked at the quests. He just had a quick chat with Max. 'Hmm, that could be something.' Naruto thought to himself and took the description of the assignment and went to the master.
"Master, I accept this assignment." Naruto said and showed Macao the order. "All right Naruto, then good luck." Macao said with a smile. When he saw Mira, he grinned slightly again and looked at her butt.
Naruto could already see that in this guild every man over 30 was a pervert. Macao, Wakaba and Makarov were all perverts. Besides these three people, there was no one over 30. At 24 years old, Naruto was one of the older members. Most were not even 20 years old. Even Erza was only 20 years old. Besides Erza and Mira, there weren't many who were in Naruto's age group. Most were aged 15-18.
"Hey Master, be careful where you look. Mira just taught you and Wakaba a lesson yesterday." Naruto said turning around. His cloak moved elegantly with the movement.
Macao got a little sweat on his forehead when he saw Mirajane's look. She had a menacing purple aura around her. He laughed slightly nervously and simply turned around and continued drinking his drink in silence.
"WAIT FOR ME NARUTO!" Lucy shouted. Naruto stopped at the entrance to the tavern and turned around. "Lucy?" Naruto asked.
"Can I come with you Naruto?" Lucy asked with a hopeful look.
Naruto blinked a few times and ended up smiling. "Sure, why not?" Naruto asked. He turned back and continued walking. Lucy started grinning and went after Naruto.
When the two were already a little ways away from the tavern, Lucy asked what exactly the job was about. "We have to pick something up and then deliver it to someone." Naruto said.
"That's all?" Lucy asked. She didn't expect Naruto to accept such an assignment. After all, he was very strong, as she was able to observe very closely during the fight against the lizard people. When Naruto punched one of the lizard people through the entire forest with just one punch, it was impressive. Although impressive was an understatement. No one saw the two-lizard people who were punched through the entire forest by Naruto.
"Yes." Naruto said. "It's nice to just take your time and not take the assignment as the goal but the journey itself. You might miss all the landscapes you can see and all the people you meet if you don't meet them. Just take a look around. It's perfect for an assignment like this with no time limit." Naruto said.
Lucy's eyes sparkled at this declaration. She never thought Naruto had such deep reasoning and it all made sense. Her respect for Naruto grew the longer she traveled with him and talked to him.
The two of them walked relaxed through the streets of Magnolia and as Naruto said, he looked around and often spoke to people around him. They were now walking out of Magnolia, but up until 2 minutes ago Naruto had been talking to someone he knew. She smiled at the sight. Naruto was really popular with those he knew and there were quite a few of them.
"Look Lucy." Naruto said, pointing with one arm at a tree. Lucy looked at the tree and didn't immediately know what Naruto meant. She heard birds and when she looked a little higher into the foliage, she could see a mother bird feeding and caring for her chicks.
"It's the little things in life." Naruto said and then continued walking. Lucy looked at the birds for a moment with a smile and then went after Naruto. She's only walked about 3 kilometers with Naruto so far, but even so, her view of a one-way trip had completely changed. In these 3 kilometers, Naruto had briefly and succinctly shown Lucy what was important. She would never have noticed the birds and would have completely missed this beautiful sight.
