Howdy y'all! Tawnya here. Ava's letting me do the intro this time.
Basically, this chapter's just a few short blurbs with important plot info for changes to the MGLN timeline, and other stuff. What happens with Harry won't be mentioned since that happens as in cannon.
Now back to ya darling.
Me: Thanks dear; and thanks for your reviews readers.
Like my beautiful fiancée said...
Tawnya: Ya look good too hun.
Me: Didn't you tell me not interrupt last time?
Tawnya: Don't be annoyed. What goes around comes around.
Me: True that. Anyway, like Tawnya said, we get some plot movement, and a hint to Nanoha's past.
Also on a side note, switching the doc from my phone to the Fanfiction site removed the underlines, so from now on translated Japanese'll be in brackets.
As always...
Both: Enjoy!

As soon as Nanoha stepped through the door of the Midoriya she immediately swooped into a crushing hug by a five foot eight very worried brunet.
["I'm fine Mama,"] Nanoha told her mother in Japanese.
[Do you have any idea how scared I was when heard what happened on Halloween?] Momoko reprimanded, [Honestly how do you get into those things?]
Fate shook her head, [I have no idea. Nothing too bad happened at least.] Mentally she added " I know your angry but Nanoha truly didn't have that much of a choice at the time. Everything happened too fast. Also we weren't alone, so I couldn't use Bardiche. I was too busy protecting our friends to think straight." [How was your trip,] the blonde mage asked as she hugged her foster-mother tightly, as she one of the few who could take her strength.
[It was good,] the thirty-five year old woman said lightly, indicating her agreement. Her almond shaped eyes where a pretty violet, though a bit lighter than Nanoha's were.
[By the way, Suzuka said she wanted to talk with you. Something about research?]
["Must have found something,"] Nanoha said as she brought out her white and pink trimmed cell and dialed Suzuka.
The vampire picked up on the third ring.
[Nanoha, we need to talk.]
The auburn haired mage blinked. Suzuka was serious; she rarely spoke that professionally, the same tone Nanoha used herself when on the job. [Usual spot?]
[Hai. See you in ten.]
[Something wrong,] Fate asked as Nanoha hung up.
Nanoha shook her head. [No idea.]

[So Nicholas Flamel is a seven hundred year old alchemist, who made the only way to be immortal?] Nanoha asked incredulous. [So the Philosopher's Stone is at Hogwarts, the school I happen to be going to, while a murdering psychopath is piggy-backing on my teacher. Why does my life have to be so complicated.]
Fate shook her head, echoing Nanoha's words earlier: ["No idea. I'm just glad that Lindy-san's letting us tell our friends about some of our magic.]
[She knows don't like lying remember,] Nanoha reminded.
[That's true,] Fate agreed, [I'm just glad we got business taken care of.]

A week later, Nanoha sat alone on her and Fate's bed under the window, looking at the display on the wall...wrestling with a decision she'd been debating since the troll incident.
She never liked thinking about it, but it was the last day before they went back to school. She needed to decide.
Her eyes closed, remembering the fateful day three years ago, the last time she'd touched that display...
The last time she had lost her temper.
She knew it was somewhat silly to be nervous about the display's contents since she had been using Raging Heart at the time, but Raging Heart now had built in safeguards.
What was in the display did not.
Still, if she'd had had it when the troll attacked...
The mage nodded slightly, opening her eyes as Fate walked in. ["Are you re..."]
The blonde paused as she saw where Nanoha was looking.
["Still debating,] the blonde asked as she climbed onto the bed, laying her arms around the violet eyed girl.
Nanoha shook her head. [No, I've already decided. I know I'm doing the right thing by taking it,] she said softly [ but...I know it's silly, but I'm scared. Raging Heart has safeguards now... If I lose my temper with this...]
[Listen to me Nanoha Takamachi,] Fate said sternly, [That right there,] she pointed at the display, [is a tool; nothing more, nothing less. And a tool is only as good...]
[Or as bad as the one who wields it,] Nanoha finished, [I know that, I do...I just don't what to do that again.]
Fate shook her head, [Whoever makes you lose your temper deserves what you'll do to them.] She gave Nanoha a comforting squeeze and peck on the cheek before nodding at the display underneath, [Besides, I'll be with you.]
Nanoha smiled at Fate and said, ["Arigato."], before turning to look at the two swords on the wall.
