Chapter 41: The Downfall of Starscream

Starscream was sitting on his throne, surrounded by his servants, as they pampered him with Energon wine and Energon goodies. They were polishing his feet, sharpening his claws, and fanning him, as he savored every moment of their attention.

He was preparing for his coronation, which would make him the new leader of the Decepticons. Starscream had been dreaming of this moment for years and relished in the anticipation of finally achieving his goal. After his servants had finished pampering him, Starscream got up and slipped into his shimmering purple cape. He looked at himself in the mirror, pleased with his appearance. This was his moment, and nothing would stand in his way.

But as he stared at himself in the mirror, Starscream began to hallucinate. Megatron's voice spoke to him, trying to reason with him, that revenge wouldn't make him feel better and that he was sorry for all the years of abuse and cruelty. Starscream's anger boiled within him at the sound of Megatron's voice, and he snarled, "You are a real coward! A real traitor!" He began to lash out at the image in the mirror, calling Megatron names and pummeling his reflection. The mirror shattered into thousands of pieces, and Starscream fell to the ground, his body wracked with sobs as he broke down in agony.

Cyclonus landed his ship on the outskirts of the Autobot base at Retoris. As he stepped out of the ship, he was greeted by Megatron and Orion Eclipse, who had been waiting for him.

"Megatron, Orion Eclipse, we have a problem," Cyclonus said urgently. "Starscream has taken control of a new faction of Decepticons and is planning to be crowned as their leader in the ruins of Kaon, now known as 'New Kaon.'"

Megatron glared at Cyclonus. "And why should we trust you, Cyclonus? You have betrayed us before."

"I understand your skepticism, Megatron," Cyclonus replied. "But I assure you, this is not a trick. Starscream is a threat to both Autobots and Decepticons alike. We must work together to stop him."

Orion Eclipse spoke up, "Father, Cyclonus is right. We can't let Starscream become the new leader of the Decepticons. We need to stop him before it's too late."

Megatron nodded. "Very well. We will put a stop to Starscream's coronation. But how do we do it?"

Orion Eclipse smiled. "I've come up with the perfect speech that will convince the Decepticons to turn against Starscream and choose me as their new leader instead."

Altair Comet, Orion Eclipse's girlfriend, overheard their conversation and approached them. "Orion Eclipse, you can't do this alone. Let me come with you."

Orion Eclipse put his hand on Altair Comet's shoulder. "I'll be okay, Altair Comet. We'll stop Starscream and come back victorious."

As they traveled to New Kaon, Orion Eclipse, Megatron, Jetfire, and Cyclonus worked out the details of their plan. They knew they had to move quickly and decisively to disrupt Starscream's coronation and prevent him from gaining any more power.

Orion Eclipse turned to Megatron. "Father, I want you to know that I'm ready for this. I'm ready to take on the responsibility of leading the Decepticons."

Megatron placed a hand on Orion Eclipse's shoulder. "I know you are, son. And I'm proud of you."

As they approached the ruins of Kaon, the group could see the Decepticon forces gathering for Starscream's coronation. But Megatron, Orion Eclipse, Jetfire, and Cyclonus were prepared. As Starscream was crowned the new leader of the New Decepticons, the trumpets played loudly, but instead of feeling triumphant, he was annoyed by the noise. "Get on with the ceremony!" he shouted at the trumpet-playing Decepticons.

When they refused to stop playing, Starscream pulled out his null ray gun and blasted the trumpets, silencing them. He began his speech, "My fellow New Decepticons! As your new leader, I-"

But he was interrupted by the sudden appearance of Jetfire, Megatron, Cyclonus, and Orion Eclipse, who had been hiding in the shadows. They transformed into their jet modes and disrupted Starscream's coronation, much to his anger.

"Who dares to disrupt my coronation?!" Starscream shouted before he suddenly remembered that it was his former master, Megatron, his son, Orion Eclipse, and their friends, Cyclonus and the Ex-Decepticon traitor, Jetfire, who have all come to stop him from becoming a tyrannical leader.

Megatron drew out his arm blade and replied, "Coronation, Starscream? This is bad comedy!"

Starscream growled furiously as he shouted, "Megatron!? You've been a thorn in my side for too long! The Decepticons and the New Decepticons and their allies are now loyal to ME! The Reign of Starscream has begun!" Megatron replied, "And now...it will end." he said. "DESTROY THEM!" Starscream ordered the New Decepticons, the Decepticons, the mind-controlled Vehicons, the mind-controlled Predacons, and the mind-controlled Insecticons to attack Megatron and his son, Orion Eclipse, as well as Cyclonus as the battle ensured at the ceremony in New Kaon. But Orion Eclipse was not afraid as he thought of a solution to stop the battle immediately in order to persuade his people to turn over a new leaf. He pulled out a loud subsonic sound wave device from his pocket and he activated the device that snapped the five armies out of mind control. They turned on Starscream and his supporters, ready to fight for a new leader. Orion Eclipse stood before the Decepticons, his eyes scanning the crowd of bots before him. He knew that he had a difficult task ahead of him, but he was determined to succeed.

"My fellow Decepticons," he began, his voice ringing out across the crowd. "I stand before you today with a heavy heart. We have been led astray, misled by false promises and empty words. Your false leader, Starscream, has shown you nothing but lies and deceit." He paused, allowing his words to sink in, before continuing. "But I am here to offer you something different. Something better. A future where we can all live in peace and prosperity, where no one is left behind or forgotten." The Decepticons murmured amongst themselves, unsure of what to make of Orion Eclipse's words. But he continued, his voice growing stronger with each passing moment.

"Starscream's mockery of a reign has been marked by cruelty and oppression. He will only abuse his power, using it to further his own selfish desires. But I offer you a different path. A path towards true equality and justice." He gestured towards the Autobots, who stood behind him as some of them arrived on the scene to help him, his father, and their unexpected friend stop Starscream from becoming the new leader of the Decepticons as well as the New Decepticons and their brainwashed reinforcements, united in their goal of making Cybertron a better place. "We have fought against each other for far too long. It is time to put aside our differences and work together for the greater good." The Decepticons looked at each other, unsure of what to do. But Orion Eclipse could see that his words were having an impact, that they were beginning to see the truth in what he was saying.

"I know that change can be frightening," he continued. "But I ask you to take a chance. To take a step towards something better. Together, we can build a future that is truly worth fighting for. A future where we can all be proud to call ourselves Decepticons." The Decepticons began to nod in agreement, their faces showing their newfound hope for the future. And as Orion Eclipse stood before them, he knew that he had succeeded in his mission. He had shown them that there was a better way, a path toward true peace and equality.

By the end of the day, the Decepticons chose Orion Eclipse as their new leader, and together with the Autobots, they worked to make Cybertron a better place for all. So that one day, the days of war and strife will be behind them, replaced by a new era of cooperation and understanding. And as they looked towards the future, Orion Eclipse knew that anything was possible.

The Decepticons and their allies have agreed with Orion Eclipse's new point of view on how they and their Autobot enemies should be unified peacefully and they all turned on Starscream, forcing the cowardly traitor and usurper to retreat with half of his followers.

"NO! Don't you DARE turn against me! Don't listen to him! I AM YOUR TRUE LEADER! I AM YOUR LORD AND MASTER! OBEY ME!" Starscream shouted at the top of his lungs.

"Fight your own battles, Starscream! Unless you're a coward. Now take your followers and LEAVE! Get out of New Kaon, and leave Cybertron! And don't you ever come back!" Orion Eclipse told Starscream.

In the end, Orion Eclipse has been immediately elected as the new leader of the Decepticons, and together with the Autobots, they worked to make Cybertron a better place for all. The Decepticons had finally found a leader they could trust, and the New Decepticons were no more.

"Let's get the hell out of here! AAAAGHH!" Astrocharge shrieked in terror. "We must find Lord Doomsayer!" Motorstrike said. Starscream stopped and he turned back at Orion Eclipse while the rest of his followers were fleeing. "THIS ISN'T OVER, YOU SELF-RIGHTEOUS BRAT! I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE AND I WILL CLAIM WHAT IS MINE, WHATEVER IT TAKES! I WILL RETURN!" Orion Eclipse aims his fusion cannon at Starscream, preparing to fire at will before Starscream transforms into his jet mode and leaves with his purple cape and golden crown with red rubies falling down, allowing Orion Eclipse to crush the crown with his foot, breaking it to pieces.

"All hail Orion!" The Decepticons chanted while half of them cheered for their new and rightful leader.
