Chapter 42: Unicron Awakens
Starscream, Astrocharge, Motorstrike, Crossfire, Thunderlight, Vortex, Scourge, and Cinderwire arrived at Doomsayer's secret hideout, their faces were grim. They knew that they had bad news to deliver to their founder.
Doomsayer, a towering bot with a fierce scowl, looked up as they entered the room. "Report," he growled.
Starscream stepped forward, his voice low and even. "The Decepticons, Predacons, Insecticons, and Vehicons have all betrayed us. They have accepted Orion Eclipse as their new leader."
Doomsayer's eyes blazed with fury. "Betrayed us? How dare they! And this Orion Eclipse...who does this spoiled brat think he is?"
"He is a new leader that has emerged among the Decepticons," Astrocharge spoke up. "He has promised peace and equality for all Cybertronians."
Doomsayer snorted. "Peace and equality? Such things are impossible. There will always be those who seek to dominate and control."
"Nevertheless, he has gained a massive following just for making that "epic" speech of his," Crossfire added. "And now the Decepticons are split between those who follow him and those who remain loyal to Starscream."
Doomsayer's scowl deepened. "This is unacceptable. We must act quickly before the situation gets out of hand."
"I agree," Thunderlight said. "We need to strike at the Autobots' base in Retoris before the Decepticons get there. They are protecting Unicron's Anti-Spark, and we cannot allow them to keep it locked away."
"Agreed," Doomsayer said, his voice cold and determined. "We will move out at once. Prepare for battle."
As the group left the hideout, they knew that they were facing a difficult fight. But they were determined to succeed, to prove to the traitorous Decepticons that they are inferior to the servants of Unicron.
Before dawn, Doomsayer and his New Decepticons arrive and they attack the Autobot base in Retoris on Cybertron. "INCOMING!" yelled Bulkhead. The Autobots fight and shoot their lasers at their enemies while trying to prevent Doomsayer from finding the Allspark Reliquary that contains Unicron's Anti-Spark within the vault.
"Don't let him near the vault!" Ultra Magnus told the Autobots. "We gotta keep them from finding Unicron!" Ironhide said.
"Too late, Autobots! New Decepticons! Tear this place apart until we find our master!" Doomsayer told his followers. "Yes, my liege!" said Crossfire. The Autobots battled against the New Decepticons while trying to keep them from breaking into their base to find the vault where the Allspark Reliquary is. But when Doomsayer defeated Ultra Magnus, he and his Inner Circle broke into the Autobot base and they found the vault where the Allspark Reliquary is.
"At long last! We have found our master!" said Doomsayer.
"Unicron's spirit is trapped within the Allspark Reliquary," Crossfire said. "Not unless we take him back to Earth and release his spirit back into his body," Doomsayer replied.
"I will not allow you to resurrect Unicron and destroy both the Earth and Cybertron!" Orion Eclipse said as he aimed his fusion cannon at Doomsayer and his New Decepticons.
Doomsayer zaps Orion Eclipse with his Dark Energon electricity, sending him backward until Orion hits his back against the wall. Doomsayer grabs the Allspark Reliquary, and he and his minions run outside the vault and burst out of the Autobot base.
"New Decepticons! We have found our master! Let us leave Cybertron and bring Unicron back to the planet Earth and release his spirit back into his body!" Doomsayer told his army as he transformed into his jet mode while carrying the Allspark Reliquary.
Doomsayer and his New Decepticons retreat as they open the space bridge to escape from the Autobots.
"They're getting away!" Hot Rod said.
The Autobots pursued Doomsayer and his New Decepticons, but they all got away with the Allspark Reliquary holding Unicron and his Anti-Spark with them as soon as the portal closed, and the enemy traveled from Cybertron to Earth.
"We're too late!" said Ratchet.
Doomsayer, now known as Galvatron, stood on the surface of Pluto, looking out at the stars. He had finally achieved what he had set out to do - he now held Unicron's Anti-spark within the Allspark container.
With a grin, he turned to his loyal followers. "From this day forward, I am Galvatron!" he declared. "And together, we will rule the galaxy as gods!"
Shockwave stepped forward, holding out a new body for Galvatron. "Your new form, my lord," he said, bowing his head.
Galvatron's eyes gleamed with excitement as he transferred his soul into the new body. He felt stronger, more powerful than ever before.
But as he turned to leave, he noticed that Soundwave was recording the whole thing with his visor. With a snarl, Galvatron reached out and broke the visor, warning Soundwave that no one was to know what had happened.
And with that, Galvatron left Starscream in charge of the New Decepticons on Pluto as he set out to destroy the Earth and Cybertron with the Unicron Chaos Bringer.
As he made his way towards the Earth's core, carrying the Allspark container with Unicron's spark inside of it, he encountered Ultra Magnus, who tried to stop him with the Sword of Primus. But Galvatron was too powerful, and he wounded Ultra Magnus before freeing Unicron and bringing him back to life by returning his spark to his body at the Earth's core.
The Chaos Bringer rose from the Earth's core and transformed into his true form, ready to destroy Primus and everything in his path.
Megatron, desperate to help his Autobot friends save the humans, found himself outnumbered by New Decepticon troopers. But just as all seemed lost, Optimus Prime returned from the Allspark to lend a helping hand. After Prime defeated the New Decepticon troops, he looked down at Megatron who was lying on the ground, shocked and puzzled by the return of his former arch-nemesis and brother-figure as Optimus smiled at Megatron.
"Optimus...you're alive?" Megatron said as he could not believe his optics. "Only for a limited amount of time, old friend. I have come back to help you and the others put an end to Galvatron's reign of anarchy and chaos and to stop Unicron, once and for all." Optimus Prime explained. "But...How is it that you're still alive, Optimus? You gave your very spark to restore our home planet and you've been gone since then." Megatron exclaimed.
"Indeed I have been, Megatron. But know that Primus has brought me back from the Allspark so that we may help him defeat his brother one final time. Take my hand." Optimus told Megatron.
Optimus lends his helping hand to Megatron and he takes his hand before Optimus helps him up. Megatron was speechless but at the same time, he was unexpectedly happy to see Optimus Prime back from the Allspark. For now, the two of them must help the Autobots as well as their children win the war before Unicron destroys everything and everybody in the entire universe.
While they were on their way to save the universe, Optimus Prime told Megatron everything about his afterlife in the Allspark and Optimus Prime had been told by the god Primus himself that Megatron's parents were still alive and well. The news was so surprising that Megatron was overwhelmed with relief, sadness, shock, and joy.
"My sire and creator are still alive?!" Megatron exclaimed.
"Yes, Megatron. Primus informed me that your creators still live. But he didn't have the time to tell me where they are when he used his powers to bring me back to life." Optimus told Megatron.
"This is wonderful news!" Megatron said as his red eyes were filling with tears of joy.
"No time to celebrate. We must help our friends and family defeat Unicron and Doomsayer once and for all! They must be stopped no matter the costs!" Optimus Prime replied.
Together with Bumblebee and Orion Eclipse, they grabbed the Sword of Primus and set out to stop Galvatron before he and Unicron would destroy both worlds, destroy the galaxy and destroy everyone and everything. It was a race against time, as the world began to fall apart around them. But they were determined to succeed, to save the galaxy from the chaos that Galvatron had unleashed.
And as Optimus Prime carried the Star Saber with him, Megatron, Orion Eclipse, and Bumblebee, who carried the Sword of Primus with him, faced Doomsayer, now reborn as Galvatron head on, while Unicron makes his way to destroy Cybertron and Primus once and for all. They knew that the fate of the entire universe rested in their hands.
Galvatron stood before Optimus Prime, Megatron, Orion Eclipse, and Bumblebee, his eyes blazing with fury. "You're too late," he said, his voice cold and menacing. "Soon, Unicron will destroy Primus and all the worlds in the galaxy will be destroyed and replaced with a new galaxy with new worlds."
"Doomsayer? Is that you?!" Orion Eclipse asked, shocked and confused by his archenemy's new look.
"Yes, it is me. But I am no longer Doomsayer. From now on, I am...Galvatron! And all of you and Primus are about to become nothing more but a memory once Unicron and I destroy your precious god and destroy this old universe!" Doomsayer told Orion Eclipse, Bumblebee, Megatron, and Optimus Prime before he laughed maniacally like a crazed maniac.
Bumblebee stepped forward, his voice angry. "You've gone completely insane!" he shouted. "How could you even think of something so destructive?"
Galvatron simply shrugged. "Sometimes an old galaxy must die for a new one to take its place," he said, his voice calm and measured. "And I am the one who will bring about this new era."
Optimus Prime stepped forward, his eyes blazing with determination. "We will not let you destroy everything we've fought for," he said, his voice firm.
Megatron nodded in agreement. "We will stop you, Galvatron," he said, his voice low and even. "No matter what it takes."
Orion Eclipse stepped forward, his eyes locked on Galvatron. "I can't believe you would do something like this," he said, his voice shaking with anger. "We were supposed to be working together to make Cybertron a better place. And now you want to destroy it all?"
Galvatron simply sneered. "Cybertron is just one small world in a universe that is vast and infinite," he said. "I am thinking on a much grander scale than you ever could."
And with that, the final battle began. The fate of the entire galaxy rested in the hands of these warriors, as they clashed in a fierce battle that shook the very foundations of the universe.
As they fought, Galvatron's power grew stronger, fueled by his desire to destroy everything and everyone in his path. But the Autobots and Decepticons fought with all their might, determined to stop him at any cost.
And as the battle raged on, it became clear that only one side would emerge victorious. But who that would be, no one could say for sure.
The only thing that was certain was that the outcome of this battle would determine the fate of the entire universe. And as they fought on, the warriors knew that they would never give up, no matter what the cost.
