Chapter 45: Charlie's Introduction
In Brighton Falls, California...
A young woman is working at a hot dog stand called "Hot Dog on a Stick" in a amusement park. She has light skin, brown wavy hair, brown eyes, and is 17. She was making lemonade for her customers as she watches other people having fun. Her name is Charlotte Watson, but people call her 'Charlie'. She gives the lemonade, hot dog on a bun, and a corn dog to a family, then a girl came she has fair skin, blonde hair, and a tight blue dress, her name is Tina Lark as she looks like one of those popular high school girls.
Tina is Charlie's bully that Charlie holds an extremely dislike of her, "Working as usual, Charlie?" Tina asked with a smirk along with her friends as well "Yeah, well duh" Charlie replied as this is oblivious as she knows Tina is taunting her as Charlie likes to play along to get back on her. "How is Tripp Summers? Still working as your boyfriend?" Charlie asked "Yes, maybe you would do the same with your boyfriend, oh wait you don't have a boyfriend" Tina taunted as she and her friends laughed as Charlie rolls her eyes and scoffs as she heads towards the booth.
"Maybe, you have your dad to help you find one. Oh right, he's not here!" Tina said as this made Charlie stopped. Charlie had lost her biological father, Marty along time ago and her mother, Sally fall in love and married Ron as he became Charlie's stepfather. Charlie is having a hard time to cope the lost of her father, but when Tina had did a disrespected remark on him this made Charlie angry as she turns around and slammed her foot on Tina's.
"Oww" Tina yelped, since she wears a high heel and Charlie wears a sneaker "Don't you talk about my father that way!" Charlie replied "Do I ever did disrespecting remarks on your late grandfather, huh? No because I know that the loss of a relative not to be taunt at" Charlie explained. Tina just stares at her in silence until she broke it "Whatever, but stepping on my foot won't bring him back" Tina said "And disrespecting him won't bring your grandfather either" Charlie retorted.
"I have something to tell you" Charlie said as she leans close to Tina's ear "When it's time for me to go to college, I'm going some to a college where I never want to see your stupid face again" Charlie whispered as she heads back to the booth.
Charlie watches Tina head towards her car as she enters and starts the car as the license plate said 'U WISH' then a young man came to the booth. He has tan skin, black afro hair and is 18. His name is Guillermo Gutierrez, but people call him 'Memo' like Charlie, he also works at the amusement park, he works at the churro stand. He is Charlie's next door neighbor and best friend "Another confrontation with Tina again?" Memo asked "Yes, Memo" Charlie answered.
"You do realize if you keep doing this, you're gonna get fired" he said advising his friend as Charlie sighed "I know Memo, but every time when Tina just keeps taunting or doing disrespecting remarks, I just want to beat the crap out of her that would make her regret doing it" Charlie explained. "I'm sorry about your dad" Memo sympathizes "Thanks, Memo. You're only friend I ever had, I just wished that I would meet someone special, someone who understands what is like to lose a relative" Charlie explained.
"I'm sure your time will come" Memo reassured "Yeah, and I hope things will get better tomorrow when I'm turning 18" Charlie said "Yeah, and speaking of 18" Memo said as he handed Charlie a churro on a stick.
"Tomorrow is your birthday, I thought you deserve a snack" he said as Charlie smiles since Memo knows that churro on sticks are her favorite snack "Thanks, Memo and here's something in return" Charlie said as she handed Memo a corn dog. They both liked Hot Dogs and Churros since they were kids and in every summer they would go to the amusement park to enjoy rides and enjoy their favorite snacks.
"Brings back memories, huh?" Memo replied as Charlie nods "Yep, it sure does" Charlie replied as they resume back to their work.
Hivemus Prime was driving towards a dumpster looking for spare parts "Hmm, there must be something in that dumpster that is useful" Hivemus muttered. He hears the sound of a vehicle approaching as he turns his side view mirrors and saw Charlie riding on a moped with headphones on "It's better, I have to stay in vehicle mode, I'm sure if she heard the news of our existence" Hivemus muttered.
Charlie was driving on her moped and listening music on her headphones until she noticed Hivemus' vehicle mode. She stops and approaches him, she was intrigued by the car's appearance because it had street racing appearance as it is yellow with black racing stripes.
She admires the car as it has an engine sticking out of the hood and a hood ornament that is a bumblebee. Charlie notices something on the roof of the car as she grabs a nearby footstool and saw that the roof of the car had a yellow bumblebee symbol.
"Wow, you are the most amazing car I have ever seen" she remarked "I wondered who you belong to?" she wondered as she takes a look on the license plate, but instead of a number it had words that said 'STING LIK A B' then Charlie takes a look of the interior of the car.
The seats of the car are carbon fiber and leather on it, a mini disco ball and an image of bee with the words 'Bee-ouch' were hanging on the rear view mirror. Charlie sits on the hood of the car caressing it as if it was her car "If had you...you would definitely sting like a bee" Charlie said.
"Thanks for your honest words" Hivemus said as Charlie jumped as she slipped down from the hood "Who said that?!" Charlie exclaimed as she stands up and looks around for the source of the voice, but there was no one there. Charlie looks at the car "Did that came from the car?" she wondered "You're correct miss" he said as he transforms into his robot mode as Charlie became surprised "You...you're one of this alien robots from the news!" Charlie exclaimed "What is your species called again?" she asked "Cybertronians" Hivemus answered "Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Bumblebee or in my Prime name Hivemus Prime. I'm an Autobot and what's your name?" he asked after he introduced himself.
"I'm Charlotte, but call me Charlie. I am born and raised in Brighton Falls, California" Charlie explained "What are you doing here at a dumpster?" she asked "Looking for spare parts" he answered "Tell me what kind of spare parts, you're looking for?" Charlie exclaimed as Hivemus tells her then Charlie suggested "Well, you wouldn't any of that in there. But, there some at Uncle Hank's Junkyard and I know there is lots of it" Charlie explained.
"Okay lead the way, Charlie" Hivemus said as he transforms into his vehicle mode and follows Charlie on her moped.
They arrived at Uncle Hank's Junkyard as Charlie got off her moped "Wait here, I'll get the stuff I need as well as the spare parts you need" Charlie explained as she enters.
Charlie approaches an old man who is siting at desk holding a handheld television that was from the 80s and he was watching something, he is Uncle Hank "Any new items that came today?" Charlie asked "The Russians were going to blow everything up anyway" Uncle Hank said sassily in a sarcastic tone "Do you have any four 17 steel rims, one exhaust pipe, four off-road tires, and two turbo boosters? A new friend that I met want some and I offered to get it for him" Charlie explained.
"Is he that guy in that Camaro?" Hank asked as Charlie turns around to see Hivemus' vehicle mode and turns back to Hank "Yes, he's new around here and is shy" Charlie said. Then Hank hands her a cart "Here find what ever you're looking for and the spare parts for your new friend. Now will you excuse me, ALF is beginning to start" Hank said as he watches the tv show on the handheld television he is holding.
Charlie gather the spare parts that Hivemus needed then Charlie is removing a part of the engine of the boat. After, she removed it, she got off the boat, it began to tip over and knocked off the other boats in domino style. A yellow crop top hoodie dropped to the ground as she picks it up.
She examines it, it was her size and decided to take it with her "I'll clean this up when I get home" she said. Charlie comes back to Hank's office as Hank is still watching ALF "I wonder what will happen to ALF?" Charlie joked "Don't want to ruin surprise" Hank said "Maybe, I'll come back, tomorrow's my birthday, any way do you pay cash, credit, or debit?" she asked "I don't do with paying cards as I am old school" Hank said "You'll get much older and be older school" Charlie joked as they laughed "You can have it for free, it's your birthday tomorrow, kid" Hank said "Thank you" Charlie said as she leaves.
Charlie meets up with Hivemus as she has the spare parts "Mind opening your trunk?" she requested "Sure" Hivemus said as he does so and Charlie puts the spare parts in there as Hivemus closes the trunk after they're in.
Charlie is driving her way to home and Hivemus follows her. They reached to the neighborhood as Charlie gets off her moped "That Uncle Hank seems like a nice guy" Hivemus said "Yeah, Hank is not really my uncle, but I see him as one. He's a friend of my dad" Charlie explained "Though I wish you met him" she sadly replied "What happened to him?" Hivemus asked. Charlie didn't answer as Hivemus understood "If you don't want to talk about it, it's fine. I won't pressure you" he said then he decided to change the subject "There's something cool I want to show you" he said as hologram of a young man showed.
He has tan skin, blue eyes, blonde hair on the top and black on the bottom. He wears a black shirt with a red autobot logo on it, a black jacket with yellow stripes, black cargo pants, and yellow and black sneakers as is in his early 20s. "Wow" Charlie exclaimed as she stunned by Hivemus' human hologram "What is that?" Charlie asked.
"This a hologram or avatar. We Cybertrions add these in our vehicle modes to be less conspicuous" Hivemus said "Like if a cybertronian changes into a motorcycle then adds a hologram of a driver, no one won't suspect of a motorcycle driving by itself" Charlie added. "Yes, that's correct" Hivemus' avatar said.
Then a front door open as middle age woman came out, she had light skin, brown hair, and brown eyes, her name is Sally and she is Charlie's mother "Charlie...who is this?" she asked as she saw Hivemus' avatar "A new friend I made, this is...Benjamin, but people call him Ben. He's new around here" Charlie said as Sally approaches him "Are you doing anything fishy around her?" Sally said.
Hivemus or Ben knows what she meant "No, of course not. I just met her this afternoon, I'm friendly towards people" he explained "Mom! I'm going to become 18 tomorrow, I can take care of myself" Charlie said annoyed with her mother. "I'm just doing what every mother does. Besides, you know the whole thing of 'don't talk to strangers'" Sally explained.
"I know, you're just protecting your daughter. But, I was raised by a good family to treat people with respect and I know she will become a great woman tomorrow" Ben said "Well, I better get going nice meeting you, Mrs..."
"Watson, Nurse Watson" Sally said "You're a nurse? Cool, I have a friend who's mother is a nurse. He's live in Jasper, Nevada" Ben said as he enters the car. "Bye" Charlie called and watches Ben drove off. She and Sally enter the house "Did you get his phone number?" Sally smirked "Very funny, Mom and no, but maybe I'll see him again" Charlie said.
Hivemus was driving in the streets and smiled at the encounter with Charlie "She's a nice human, and maybe I show myself to her family when the time is right" Hivemus said.
