That new cover art is what Realmheart looks like. To give you a better look. I also thought it would make sense since the following story will be about this form a bunch now. Plus, it looks badass! I lowkey might start changing my story images when I get to new arks. Kinda like new visuals for seasons. like the anime do.
*I don't own anything*
Hinata appeared in the apartment like a ghost appearing in thin air. She let out a sigh and did a heavy stretch. "Today was a long day." Hinata took off her cream kimono robe and slang it on her shoulder, leaving her in a black shirt that fit like a second layer of skin.
Hinata walked into the living room on the wooden floor letting her bare feet to feel the cold wood. That was when she stopped and looked with a blank face at the redhead sitting in their living room. The girl stopped reading the book in her hand and looked towards Hinata with blinking red eyes.
They just stared at each other for a few seconds, not moving at all. Karin was sensing Hinata's chakra. And what she was feeling, was out of this world. It reached heights a genin should not possess and even out shined some jounin. The scary part was, it was nothing compared to Naruto's chakra levels.
"Umm, hello." Karin waved awkwardly and tried to hide behind her book.
Hinata continued to gaze towards Karin without blinking, causing her to look very creepy in Karin's opinion. The Hyuga activated her byakugan and looked at Karin's chakra. Being this close to the red-head, Hinata could feel something very similar to Naruto. It was then she saw it and her eyes widened.
"You're an Uzumaki." Hinata stated.
Karin nodded at the statement.
"So that's why Naruto-kun brought you over here. There is no way he'd leave a member of his family out in the world like that." Hinata let her eyes go back to normal and she plopped down on the couch.
She now understood why Naruto had brought Karin with him from the forest.
"So you know of his heritage?" Karin asked, rising from behind her book.
"I know everything about him, It's only natural I know about his heritage." Hinata exhaled while laying her head back on the couch.
"A-are you going to kick me out?" Karin asked with a little sadness. She did not want to be a burden on Naruto who had done so much for her already. Not to mention he has a girlfriend and Karin did not want to make it seem like she was trying to steal Naruto away from Hinata.
Hinata only looked at Karin and waved her hand. "No need to worry about that, I am not going to kick you out. You are welcome to stay here for a little while." Hinata reassured Karin who let out a grateful sigh.
"Th-thank you, I will help out around the place so It doesn't seem like I am mouching." Karin stood up and gave a grateful bow. Her gratitude was shining like a mini sun.
"Plus, I need another girl's touch around this place." Hinata sent a playful winked at Karin making the redhead chuckle.
Leaf Hospital
In one of the beds lay a boy with pale skin and black hair. His face blank as he laid motionlessly in the bed. His eyes then slowly opened revealing the black orbs that seemed more like empty sockets with how void his eyes looked. He rose from the bed and looked around trying to get a handle on his emotions. Reaching under his pillow, he grabbed around for a tanto but felt nothing.
He frowned at not feeling a weapon. Looking around once more, this did not look like the living quarters he had known all his life. The walls were white and blank just like the medic bay he was used to but there was a difference, there was a window. Out the window he could see a blue sky, trees, and even hear the sound of a bustling village.
"What is going on? Where am I?" Sai thought to himself as he was confused as all hell. The last thing he remembered was being in the forest of death and fighting Uzumaki's team. It was then it hit him, Hinata Hyuga suddenly appeared in his face and struck him with a strong palm thrust to the gut. Sai put a hand over his gut where he could still feel the phantom pain of the blow.
"So we failed on our mission, Danzo-sama won't be happy about this." Sai thought with dread in his mind. He had no idea that his master had been slain earlier today.
Sai then heard the door slide open and the beautiful form of Unohana entered the office. She was wearing a white button up shirt covered by a white doctor's coat with black slacks and shoes.
"Good evening Sai, how are you feeling?" She asked with a kind smile.
Sai looked confused. This was new to him. When he'd normally wake up in the medic bay, the doctor would have a blank face and just tell him the medical report, how long he had to get better before leaving right after that. "I am…well."
"Not what I was looking for but we'll work on it." Unohana said before walking towards the side of his bed with clipboard in hand. "Do you remember how you got here?" She asked, sitting in a chair.
"Yes, I was in the forest of death when I was struck by Hinata Hyuga." Sai answered in a blank tone.
Unohana jotted that down on her clipboard with a nod. "Aaa, the little Hyuga princess. The girl has come a long way." Retsu had a warm smile on her face when thinking of the lavender eyed girl. They had become really close over the years. Her and Naruto as well, even the ever stoic Hiashi.
"That's one way to put it." Sai told Retsu with no humor in his tone. He didn't have emotions after all.
"Well you have a bruised abdomen and the chakra system in your gut is all over the place thanks to Hinata-chan." Unohana informed Sai while reading off her list.
"How did she make my chakra system like that?" Sai asked curiously about something he had never felt before. This was the first time he had ever been struck with such force and accuracy to a single point of his body and chakra system.
"To make a complicated matter short, Hinata-chan like most Hyuga, targeted your chakra system. But with her advanced stance and top tier eyes, she managed to see more than just the 64 points of chakra in the body." Unohana paused and looked at Sai to see if he was following her. She got a nod from the boy white as snow.
"She struck you in your chakra core and sent the perfect amount of chakra and force to your core. This caused the shockwaves to travel throughout your body and connected with the 64 chakra points and more, 128 to be exact." Unohana finished with a sigh. That was not as simple as it was supposed to be. Neither was scanning over Sai's body and trying to heal him completely, which she was not able to. Only Tsunade Senju could heal him to full capacity in such a short amount of time.
"I see, thank you for telling me." Sai voiced his thanks in a tone void of emotions.
The head doctor got up and patted her coat. A gentle smile then stretched across her face and she gave words of comfort. "You just stay here and rest, it will be a while before you leave again."
Sai only fell back onto his pillow wordlessly.
Unohana closed the door and let it sound with a click. "Strange child that one." She walked off with thoughts of the two kids who managed to sneak their way into her damaged heart. "I wonder how those two are doing? I hope they are okay and unscaved. I know Naruto is a magnet for trouble and danger, dragging that poor girl along in all his mess. He better pray she is okay or there will be hell to pay." Unohana's eyes creaked open giving way to the deep blue of her eyes, and a thick bloodlust blanketed the hallway causing everyone in it to stiffen up and panic.
Retsu then got a hold of herself and shake off that feeling. "I am sure those two are fine, I am just being too protective, as if they were my own…" the head doctor stopped before she could finish that line of thinking. She started walking back to her office in order to finish paperwork. Someone like her didn't deserve such angels like those two kids. And to even get on that line of thinking was an insult to their real parents.
Hotsprings
Back outside the hot springs, Naruto stood across from Jiraiya with an annoyed look. His black and orange jacket bristled in the slight breeze that came with him using a summoning jutsu.
"What do you want, Mongrel!?"
The look of annoyance only increased on Naruto's face as he heard the familiar voice of his personal summoning he had gained over the time he spent in Uruk.
"What is that?" Jiraiya mused with a raised eyebrow. He could see a small animal with 4 legs and tail inside the smoke. The voice sounded childish and arrogant, much like the toad boss's kid.
Naruto reached inside the smoke and grabbed at the animal's neck. Jiraiya heard the sound of a high pitched yelp.
"Didn't I say to stop calling me that, Cub." Naruto pulled his arm from the smoke and was now holding something.
Jiraiya could see a small animal with a light build, long thin legs and a long black tipped tail. The fur coat was creamy but more on the line of a rich golden color. Black spots littered the animal's body in all kinds of places. Its head is small and rounded, and has a short snout and black tear-like facial streaks. Something noticeable were 3 small lines on the spinal structure of its back. They looked to be just forming and almost unnoticeable. It was a Cheetah Cub
"What you call me? I am majestic as fuck!"A childish and boyish voice yelled. The cheetah said in anger and snapped its sharp fangs towards Naruto's fingers.
Naruto dropped the cub to the ground and watched as it landed on his feet. "Yea right, you're just a cub who still gets fed by his mommy." Naruto teased with a smirk.
The cub growled in a threatening way. "I, Gilgamesh Jr will see you dead!" Jr jumped to Naruto's face and began to give him plenty of scratches with his sharp claws.
"Aaaa!" Naruto let out a painful scream as he wrestled to get Jr off his face. Naruto grabbed his tail and began to swing him around by it. Naruto let the tail go and watched as Jr went flying. Naruto sighed. He and Gilgamesh argued like twin brothers sometimes but he was still happy to have him as a summon since Jr was really strong and.
"Naruto!"
"Fast." He breathed out and used wind manipulation to increase the air pressure in front of him like he did with Sakura at Wave. Jr jumped towards his face again but found he couldn't go forward and was being pushed back.
Jr growled. "You stop that this instant!" Jr stomped his thin front legs on the ground childishly.
"Can you calm down, I didn't call you here to fight." Naruto waved the cub off.
Jr calmed down and waved his long golden tail lazaly. "Then what did you want, I was training with father."
Naruto raised an eyebrow. "Training with Gilgamesh were you, hope he was teaching you how to beat me in a race." the blonde teased.
"You only beat me because you used that stupid transformation and you know it." Jr pointed a single claw towards Naruto in an accusing manner.
"A ninja never plays fair." Naruto shrugged in a helpless way.
Jiraiya was on the side looking at the two curiously, until his eyes narrowed when he heard the cheetah named Jr say transformation. "Can Naruto already use the 9 tails chakra on his own? If so, this will make explaining our training to him much easier." Jiraiya thought with finality.
Naruto walked over to Jiraiya with Jr trotting alongside him. "Well as you can see, this is my summon. The Cheetah's."
"I…see, I still don't think they are better than toads." Jiraiya proclaimed in a helpless effort to try and defend his long lasting summon animals.
"The toads are a great summoning clan and it would be an honor for anyone to have them." Naruto said with a kind smile.
"So you want it?" Jiraiya asked with a shining hope.
"No, but thank you for the offer." Naruto rejected Jiraiya softly. It hurt to see his teacher so desperate for him to sign the toad contract. But he was tied to the cheetah's in more ways than one. They had knowledge on his new transformation which he needed. Not to mention they were a mythical summoning clan.
Jiraiya's shoulders slumped. This was getting him nowhere. Until one last Idea came into his head. "You know, the 4th Hokage possessed this contract and I gave it to him. Don't you want to join the ranks of me and the 4th Hokage in being summoners of the legendary toad contract."
Jr looked at Naruto with a lingering suspicion. They were close no matter how often they argued with each other. And to see him being offered such a contract made him feel a little uneasy. If he got rid of their contract for the toads, His Dad and Mother would be sad and upset. "Don't do it, Naruto."
Naruto only shook his head in dismay. "Not going to happen Jiraiya, I am happy with the summon's I have now." Naruto told his former sensei with finality. This was getting old and making Jiraiya look bad since he was practically begging.
Jr felt relieved and turned his head upwards while his tail wagged excitedly. While Jiraiya felt defeated and upset. But the kid made it clear he didn't want the summon.
"But anyways, can I have the key to my seal?" Naruto asked with a giddy smile.
Jiraiya widened his eyes at that. How did this boy know he needed a key to his seal? Had he been messing with it and that is why he was so strong for being only 13. But giving a boy complete access to the seal was out of this world and would be crazy. Jiraiya believed Naruto was too immature to handle such power at a young age. Naruto would only be able to control the power of the 9 tails under his guidance.
"No way, you are not ready." Jiraiya answered more seriously than he had since meeting him. "A kid like you wouldn't know what to do with all that power. It's too dangerous."
Naruto heard an angry growl inside his head. He could feel the anger seeping off of Kurama like a toxic gas. Naruto's chakra system was beginning to get mixed with Kurama's angry and fiery chakra. The boy's eyes flicked from blue to red rapidly.
"Calm down Kurama. You're going to cause a scene." Naruto wrestled internally with his chakra. He had to quickly flush his partner's chakra from his body or else it would explode off him and destroy the surrounding area.
"This old man is getting on my nerves, just take the damn key!"
"Look, I know where you are coming from. But I promise, I can handle it." Naruto told Jiraiya.
"You're gonna have to prove it, what do I look like taking the words of a kid face value." Jiraiya said with crossed arms.
Naruto's patience snapped and he released some of his chakra on the man. It weighed down on Jiraiya's shoulder like the heaviest mountain. The toad sage's knees began to shake and he grit his teeth and focused not to fall over.
"Prove it to you? How about we fight tomorrow at training ground 8. You can see first hand how strong I am." Naruto gazed at Jiraiya fiercely. His tone was sharp as a blade and cut deep like one. This was no regular boy. This aura felt otherworldly and almost…divine. As if Jiraiya was being judged by a deity, a true God.
Naruto allowed his chakra to settle back into his body. He turned his back on Jiraiya and walked off in the direction of the hospital. Unohana was due for a visit and so was Sai.
Jiraiya only stood in his spot in shocked silence. He had really messed up on the first interaction with this one. Jiraiya was gonna have to go and talk to Hiruzen about this. Maybe his sensei would have some knowledge to give after being alive so long. This relationship with Naruto would take some building but first, he had to make sure Naruto didn't get his hands on the key to his seal. He would have to prove that the hard way by making him use the power of the 9 tails. It didn't matter if Naruto went out of control since Jiraiya possessed the correct seals to suppress him if necessary.
Hospital
Naruto walked through the hallways of the hospital and greeted people with waves and smiles. After coming here for so long the people in the place saw him for who he really was. They gave him smiles and waves back. The staff already knew where he was going and made no hints to stop him.
Naruto was standing outside the office door of the head doctor. A silver name plate was on the door which had Unohana's name on it. He knocked on the door three times and waited for the sign to come in.
"Come in!" The angelic voice of Retsu Unohana sounded.
Naruto opened the door and came in with a gentle smile on his face. "Hello Doctor Unohana!" The blonde said happily to the women behind the desk going through paperwork.
"Hello Naruto-kun." Unohana looked up with a smile towards the genin.
Naruto went around the desk and enveloped her in a hug. Unohana let her arms travel around his body and gave him a hug. They just rested in each other's embrace feeling comfortable with their positions.
"So what brings you here?" Unohana asked softly and ran her hands through Naruto's hair.
"I got a little injured during the exam and need to be healed up."
"Did you now? No surprise there." Unohana laughed softly, making Naruto give her a pout.
"I'll have you know, I am advancing to the next round." Naruto rose from the hug and puffed his chest out in pride.
"Oh, I would have never imagined you making it to the finals." Unohana said making Naruto deflat. "Now Hinata-chan on the other hand, I had no doubt she would make it." Naruto only deflated even more until he was just a hollow shell with his soul floating out from his mouth.
Retsu observed Naruto on the ground and couldn't help but laugh out loud at her teasing of the young blonde. It was really fun messing with Naruto. He could really make this place more colorful. "I'm just joking Naruto-kun, I had complete faith in you." The woman opened her eyes and looked at Naruto with complete honesty, truth, and even something else he was not expecting to come from her.
Naruto sensed her chakra and could feel the warmth vibrating from her and also the sincere feeling in her words, as if she'd never told a single lie in her life. But like always, there seemed to be something lurking beneath the surface, waiting to explode. Whatever it was, it worried Naruto greatly. Keeping things bottled up always leads to a great explosion of what is being held back.
"You gonna heal me, or do I need to do it myself?" Naruto asked with crossed arms and standing a bit away from Unohana.
The head doctor only laughed into her sleeve. "Do you even need me to heal you, your body heals by itself. You'd be 100% by the next day or even the end of the day." Unohana informed the blonde in front of her. "If you just wanted to see me, all you had to do was come and visit." Unohana teased with a sly smile.
"Hmph, if you're acting like that, I don't think you want the cinnamon bun I may or may not have brought you." Naruto turned his back and hid the smirk that tugged at his lips.
Unohanan's eyes widened and she wheeled over in her chair to Naruto and placed her hands on his shoulder. "Naruto-kun, don't be mean. Haven't you heard that a cinnamon bun a day keeps the doctor away."
Naruto laughed. "I've never heard such a bizarre phrase before."
Unohana's grip then tightened and a sickly sweet smile appeared on her flawless face. "Naru-chan, you weren't going to keep that cinnamon roll away from me, where you?" Above her head appeared the demonic mask of the death god himself and hellish red eyes gleamed from the eye holes of the mask.
Up this close, Naruto couldn't help but let a shiver run up his spine and the cold touch of death grip at his heart. "O-o-of course n-not." Naruto pulled the wrapped up bun from his jacket pocket and handed it to Unohana who still had her smile in place.
"Why thank you." Unohana took the bun with a smile and unwrapped it before taking a bite of it. She enjoyed the warm and soft texture of the bun along with the sweet taste. She pulled Naruto over and coated her free hand in green healing chakra and placed it on the top of his head. The healing chakra ran throughout Naruto's system and began to speed up the process of healing his wounds.
Naruto let out a sigh. "Now was that so hard?" Naruto asked in an exaggerated tone.
"The most difficult thing I've done all day." Unohana said in the same tone.
"Whatever, I am going to go and check up on the kid I brought here earlier." Naruto said and walked out the room, giving the head doctor a final wave and smile.
Unohana gazed towards the closed door. "He has a weird way of addressing kids his own age, as if he is not a kid." Not to mention the boy seemed to have knowledge on damn near everything about being a ninja. It was like he had seen it all before. The idea of Naruto coming from the future then popped into her head. She stopped and looked at the cinnamon bun. "Maybe I should save this for later, that boy probably tried to pull a prank on me." The black haired woman then got back to work and filled out some of her paperwork.
Naruto peeked through the window of the door to see Sai laying up in his bed and looking out the window. There was a notepad in his hand and he was drawing a picture of the sun set. Naruto knew this was something did in his free time and seeing as he spent most of his life underground, unless it was some sucide mission. This must be a new kind of feeling to the boy.
Naruto knocked on the door gently so as to not alarm the boy. "Come in." Sai said.
The blonde opened the door and walked in with a smile. "You seem to be doing well." Naruto watched as Sai's face stayed blank but he could feel the spike of panic in his chakra. Along with seeing his finger's wrap around the brush and holding it like he would a kunai.
Sai released the brush from his grip and held it gently once more. He gazed towards Naruto who was smiling at him. Why was that? Did he forget he tried to kill him and his team in the forest of death? Did he come to finish the job? If that was the case, there was nothing Sai could do to stop him in his current condition.
Sai then decided he would spark a question on the blonde sitting in a chair towards the end of his bed. "What do you want, Uzumaki?"
"I just want to be friends." Naruto answered without hesitation.
Sai looked at Naruto in a little surprise. Why would he want to be friends with someone who tried to kill him? Sai didn't know much about Naruto since Danzo didn't know much about him.
"I know what you are thinking, Why would I want to be friends with someone like you?" Naruto said and made talking gestures with his hands. "I don't know if you noticed, but you are free."
"...Free." Sai said the simple words. The concept was foreign to him. As far back he could remember, Sai had been shackled by his master. Placing seals on them and making sure they all knew how unimportant they were, how irrelevant they were. Saying if they died, no one would miss them.
That was not true however. Since Sai missed his brother. Shin.
They were all they had in the hell which was known as ROOT. but he was forced to kill him or die.
"I don't know if you noticed, but there is no seal on your tongue." Naruto pulled out a kunai which made Sai flinch and tighten his muscles in preparation for battle. "Relax, just look at your reflection." Naruto tossed the kunai towards Sai who caught it.
Sai held the kunai up over his mouth and looked under his tongue. It was normal. There was no black ink or any kind of feeling that would let him know of a seal being on his body. "H-how, This can't be real." Sai fiercely denied in his mind the new possibility his life could have now. But what happened to his master?
"What of lo- Danzo." Sai stopped himself from calling Danzo by his title. It felt good to just say the name as it was. No swords or tanto's being held at his neck for saying the word. No threats or promises of pain for saying the name as it was. Sai then saw the sour look on Naruto's face.
"Dead. I made sure of it." Naruto answered in a hard tone. Before his face became gentle once more. "This is a new start for you Sai, You can live your life however you want. And I will be here to support you every step of the way." Naruto got up and pushed his chair back into the table which sat on the side. He sent a reassuring smile towards Sai before he disappeared from his spot in a heartbeat.
"He is fast, I didn't see him move." Sai acknowledged Naruto's speed before he let the words of Naruto ponder on his mind once more. "I can do…whatever I want?"
Apartment
Naruto appeared inside his crib at the doorway. He could see Hinata and Karin's shoes resting over here. Naruto walked into the living room where he heard girlish laughter. He saw the red hair of Karin and ink blue hair of Hinata on the couch laughing.
"What's so funny?" Naruto asked behind the sofa.
Hinata turned and gave a smile. It was now nighttime and she began to wonder what was keeping Naruto out so late. "Just a funny movie. Why don't you join us?"
Naruto smiled at the two girls getting along. He was glad since he forgot to tell Hinata about his cousin staying at their house. The invite also seemed inviting, but he had a long day and just wanted to rest. "Nah, I'm gonna go to bed. It's been a long day."
"You ain't lying." Karin amended Naruto's comment.
The blonde removed his jacket and swung it over his shoulder. Wanting to get in his pajamas like his girlfriend and Karin. Hinata, however, saw a golden shine on Naruto's back. "Naruto-kun, what's that on your back?"
"Hmm, what?" Naruto tried to look at his back but only saw nothing.
"It's under your shirt." Hinata leaned over the couch and lifted up Naruto's shirt, revealing his toned back muscles. She had to stay focused. Hinata saw the golden glimmer once again and looked to his lower back, right at the nape of his spine. "It's one of your ruins."
"A ruin?" Karin pronounced the word in an unfamiliar way.
"Why would that be there? I'm not doing anything." Naruto said. Not knowing what Hinata was talking about since he was not using Realmheart.
"I'm not joking, It's here. Can't you feel this." Hinata told Naruto.
The golden child began to focus on his lower back where Hinata was poking. There it was. The sensation of it on his back. It was the ruin for Time and Space he would normally have when he used Realmheart. But why was it activated on his back now? It also didn't seem to be draining him in any way shape or form.
"That's strange." Naruto said.
"You're telling me, how long has that been there?" Hinata asked, sinking back into her seat.
Naruto only shrugged his shoulders. "I can think about it more in the morning, I am tired." He leaned down and gave Hinata a kiss on the lips and walked to their bedroom.
"What was that about? I've never seen anything like it." Karin asked with blatant curiosity.
Hinata looked at the girl with her lavender eyes. Telling Karin about Naruto and his endless well of secrets would not be smart. She would see how close they got and if they could trust her enough, then inform the girl about all there was to know about Naruto.
"Don't sweat it, we'll tell you about it some other time." Hinata told Karin before wrapping herself in the blanket. "Now let's get back to the movie." She finished with a smile.
Next Day
Naruto was in a white t-shirt with an orange zip up vest on top. His pants were black and had orange stripes on the sides going up and down, finished with black ninja sandals.
Next to him was Hinata. She was wearing a simple navy blue kimono tied by a white obi. Over all of this was a long white robe which had big sleeves. On her feet were simple slip on sandals. They were dressed casual since it was still morning and they would start training later once they got to their sensei.
"Why are you following us again?"
"Because I am curious as to the weapons you humans use. I want to see if they can compare to the weapons my kind uses."
"Speaking of that, I want to ask your dad if he could give me some material so I can have a weapon crafted." Naruto and Jr spoke to each other while Hinata just listened to the human and animal speak with each other.
It was her first time meeting Naruto's personal summon. The little guy was so cute and she couldn't help but give him a big ol hug. Jr purred in acceptance of the attention he was receiving and purred.
"You'll have to ask father about that, You know he doesn't like giving up his treasures." Hinata was snapped from her thoughts when Jr spoke up. That brought up a question she had.
"Who is your father Jr?" Hinata asked with a tilt to her head.
Jr seemed to puff his furry chest out in pride. "He's my father, the King."
Hinata looked surprised and turned to Naruto. "Your personal summon is the king's son. That's amazing."
Jr looked at Hinata with a proud look. He then jumped into her arms and licked her face. "Finally, someone who gets it. I wish we had you as our summoner instead of blondie over there."
Hinata smiled, "that's so sweet of you."
Naruto scowled. "It's not as impressive as it may seem."
They then made it to the shop where Naruto had got his custom mask made. It was the shop TenTen worked at. Naruto held the door open for Hinata and walked in after her.
The bell rang above the door alerting the person behind the desk to their presence. "Hello and welcome in!" The bun haired girl said from behind the counter, flipping through a weapons magazine.
"Hello Tenten, I'm here for a weapon." Naruto said, smiling towards the brown haired girl.
Tenten looked up from her magazine and saw Naruto. "Naruto!" She rushed from behind the counter and got in front of him. She then did something Naruto wasn't expecting. "Thank you." Tenten bowed low to Naruto.
Naruto helped the girl up. "Hey, no need to bow. Why are you thanking me anyway?"
Tenten stood up with a grateful look on her face. "It's for catching me yesterday. If I had fallen on the fan it could have done serious damage to my back and maybe end my career."
Naruto only shook his head with a smile. "It was nothing, I'd do it for anyone of my comrades."
"Well for thanks, I will give you a 50% discount on anything you purchase today!"
Naruto and Hinata looked delighted. This would make things much easier. "Great! I'm here for a sword."
Tenten raised an eyebrow. "You want to learn Kenjutsu?"
"Yea, it's something I plan to work on over the month break." Naruto answered her question with a smile.
Tenten looked down sadly. "Yea, you made it to the finals." The brown-eyed girl mumbled in a sad tone.
"Hey, cheer up." Naruto patted her on the shoulder. "You performed great in prelims. If you can expand your jutsu inventory and learn to truly master all weapons you can be someone to truly be feared in this world. You should try to train in a wind affinity so you could coat your weapons in the cutting chakra that wind provides you." Naruto tried to give confidence to the girl. In his past life, Tenten had become a master of all kinds of weapons. She could use swords, knives, daggers, and even bow staff. But that was all she could do.
Tenten relied purely on her physical capabilities and weapon play to win battles. It only worked on people much weaker than her. So when someone equal or greater to her in strength rolled around, Tenten was powerless to defend herself.
Tenten nodded with vigor. "I will ask Guy-sensei about that. Thank you Naruto." Tenten felt grateful and the urge to become the best swelled inside of her.
"Now let's look at these swords." Naruto walked over to the swords layed on the wall.
"Those are chakra conducting swords, you can go and try it out. That's some of our best metal. It can handle any kind of chakra." Tenten said with pride laced in her tone. The young girl had no idea what she was getting into.
"Are you sure? My chakra is really potent." Naruto hesitated.
"Go ahead, there is nothing to worry about. If it breaks, you won't even have to pay for it."
"Okay." Naruto grabbed a simple Katana off the wall. He looked at his reflection in the silvery gray metal of the blade. He then pumped chakra into the blade and saw the blade gain a blue outline to it. Before a cracking sound and the two looked to see a crack on the flat surface of the blade.
"W-what?! No way?" Tenten shouted in alarm. She watched as the blade then fell apart.
"See, I told you." Naruto had a sheepish smile on his face. "This is why I wanted to see you about getting a commissioned weapon."
"I see, that was our best metal, A custom made blade would be the best for you." Tenten wined as she picked up the broken handle of the sword.
"Just come over here and pick out the materials for your weapon and we can get started on it." Tenten walked over to the counter with Naruto. She pulled out a binder which possessed multiple metals and other materials for the blade.
"I am trying to gain custom materials. Will you still be able to make me a weapon if I don't use your materials?" Naruto asked. This was his main reason for coming to this place after all.
"Yea, just hand me the stuff and we'll get to work on it." Tenten answered his question.
Naruto smiled. "Great, i'll be back sometime to give you the stuff." He turned his head and looked at Hinata who was holding Jr. they were both looking at short swords and daggers. Hinata was not one for weapons and simply used hand to hand. The closest she got to weapons were the chakra blades she would make along with kunai and shurikens.
"We'll just take some kunai and shuriken sets." Naruto told Tenten, there was no need to pass up on a deal like this.
Song of the day
On My Own- Lil Wayne
