Hey Everyone, Miles here to say, like every fanfic, I don't own any of the media that I use or reference. I'm just telling a story and that's all there is to it.

Episode 15: The Rain
ll
ll
Before the girls went to Tokyo. They waited outside of Minato City. After a few minutes of waiting, Michiru and Setsuna both took off their cloaks are ran to the vehicle, quickly getting inside and shutting the door as Usagi put it into drive.
ll
ll
For the first few minutes, it was silent. The only noises that were heard were the sounds of the engine revving as they sped to Tokyo, the occasional shift in the gears from the transmission going into higher gear and the sound of the wheels turning on the asphalt. But other than these things, there was silence, but there was also tension in the air. The inner guardians and Hotaru wanted answers, but knew they wouldn't be satisfied. Michiru and Setsuna wanted to apologise and explain, but they didn't know how to say it.
ll
ll
Everyone looked away from each other, trying not to make eye contact and thus, starting the conversation that nobody wanted to have.
ll
ll
From the driver seat, Usagi wasn't gonna wait any longer. She spoke in a cold and serious tone.
ll
ll
(Usagi) Michiru, Setsuna. What happened?
ll
ll
(Setsuna) What do you mean?
ll
ll
ll
The tension exploded
ll
ll
ll
(Rei) Oh don't act like you don't know! We saw what Haruka did to those people in Taito, MURDERERS!
ll
(Minako) Come on, we went there to see if things were okay on your part. But what we found... We're disgusted by you and Haruka.
ll
(Makoto) They weren't even enemy soldiers... THEY WERE INNOCENT PEOPLE!-
ll
ll
(Michiru) WE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING! Haruka acted alone. We were to late to stop her before we realized what she was planning to do.
ll
ll
(Hotaru) You could've ran. You could've tried to explain what was happening... But killing them shouldn't have been an option. Not even a last resort.
ll
ll
(Setsuna) But what were we to do!? Kill a Sailor Guardian?
ll
ll
(Usagi) Everyone, enough. I want to speak to them.
ll
ll
The fighting quickly stopped. The inner guardians and Hotaru held their tongues and became silent. But they still glared at Michiru and Setsuna with hatred and disgust.
ll
ll
Setsuna and Michiru also went quiet, but their faces looked of regret and self-pity...
ll
ll
(Usagi) I do not put the deaths of those innocent people upon you. I believe you in the regard that Haruka is a strong willed individual. But, there is something that I do.
ll
Michiru and Setsuna were confused and afraid. They had never seen Usagi act so coldly towards them. She didn't look at them when she spoke, and she demanded their cooperation. They felt like she was their judge. jury and executioner.
ll
Usagi gripped the wheel She gripped it so hard that the sound of her hands tightly gripping the wheel was loud enough for everyone to hear it.
ll
ll
(Usagi)You three "forgot" something after you left Taito. Remember those elders and children you hid away from the fighting? They were still in that gym, waiting for you three to come back for them with their family members. We didn't have the hearts to tell them what actually happened to their loved ones. But at least we went back for them. They asked about you, but we had to lie to them, saying that you were still helping out.
ll
Michiru and Setsuna sank lower into their seats. They had completely forgotten about those people when Haruka left. They also failed to consider that, those people who "tried" to kill them, had lives of their own. They had sons, daughters, husbands, wives, cousins and other people that were waiting for their safe return, even though now, it would never come.
ll
ll
(Usagi) Oh don't worry, they're in the care of the Military in Shibuya. They've been relocated and given temporary homes. They're safe. But the fact that you failed in your duty as a Sailor Guardian, makes me unable to trust you, and above that, I hate you. The only reason you're with us right now, is because we need your power to defeat Haruka and the origin of that fungal parasite. After this, do not associate yourselves with us.
ll
ll
(Usagi) In the past, I would have begged you to stay. But after everything we've been through... The Pure-Heart Crystals. The Sailor Stars. And now THIS? I'm sorry, but I think that you're only looking out for yourselves now. Instead of trying to protect people without power, you protect yourselves with the power you have.
ll
ll
Michiru and Setsuna were at a loss. The one person that ALWAYS tried to bring everyone together, the single person that held out hope for everyone, even those that were her enemies, was telling them that this was the last time they would ever work together, they were shocked that the other guardians there agreed with Usagi's sediment, even Hotaru felt that it was necessary.
ll
(Usagi) We don't work with those who use people and abandon others. That is something no real Sailor Guardian would ever do, especially when those people are innocent civilians who just want to live. THat is something only an enemy would do. We won't attack you, no. we just won't ask for your help, ever. You three have proven time and time again that the people that you use are nothing more than things to be used or obstacles to get out of the way.
ll
ll
(Michiru) You just don't get it, you never will...
ll
ll
(Rei) What was that? WE don't understand? Did you ever consider the people you used as individuals? Because every one of those people was a human being with a life. A life that was precious until you came along and used them or sacrificed them "for the greater good"? Did you ever ask them if they wanted to die? Did you look into their eyes are tell them that they were dying for a greater purpose? Did they happily accept their fates and march to their deaths?
ll
ll
(Setsuna) Knock it off! We did what we had to, to-
ll
ll
(Ami) There it is. You're trying to justify your actions to shift the blame onto others. The fact of the matter is, the blood of those people, regardless of who did it, is on all of our hands. If you two had tried to stop her, then we wouldn't be here trying to stopping Haruka from flying head first into her death.
ll
ll
(Michiru) STOP IT. She is not going to die. We will be there to save her.
ll
ll
(Minako) No, we're going there to stop her from getting infected and possibly becoming something that, frankly, we might not be able to stop. Not because your lover turned out to be a murderer and ran here thinking that only she could end this, by herself.
ll
ll
(Setsuna) Wait, "stop her"? She's one of us! We aren't going to kill her!
ll
ll
(Usagi) We never said we were. Now get it together, we're getting close and we need to Abandon the truck.
ll
ll
(Michiru) Why?
ll
ll
(Ami) There's a self defense barrier around the border of the city itself. Full of armed personnel and heavy weapons. They would destroy the vehicle before we could transform.
ll
ll
ll
Understanding, everyone got out of the truck with cloaks on and headed towards the city. Upon getting closer, it was clear that they would have to sneak around in order to gain entry.
ll
The border itself was enormous! The wall was 15 feet high, it was covered over the top with barbed wire on the edges of the wall. There were dozens of soldiers patrolling the wall, with small rectangular structures ever 20 feet, possibly places for the soldiers to rest. But where the road met the wall, there was a garage door that seemed to be reinforced by steel.
ll
ll
At the wall, they would need to get on the wall by climbing in places where there was no barbed wire.
ll
ll
ll
(Ami) I looked at the buildings cameras and blueprints, there's no way for us to get through. Unless we were able to get into that garage or get onto the walls. But there's no way to get on the walls without cutting ourselves.
ll
ll
Rei and Usagi both looked at each other, a mischievous grin growing on their faces.
ll
ll
(Rei) Okay, me and Usagi have an idea.
ll
ll
(Ami) Really? What is it?
ll
ll
(Usagi) Oh.. You'll see. We'll be back in a bit, just stay here.
ll
ll
ll
The two girls went in their cloaks. Leaving the rest of the girls to sit in shrubs that were away from the wall and garage.
ll
ll
After about 5 minutes. Soldiers were scrambling onto the wall, looking at something with concern. After a few seconds, they started shooting at something coming down the road. It was the armored vehicle they had ridden on the way here. But there it was, going straight towards the garage at full speed, shifting to higher gears as it flew by the girls, straight into the wall with a ear-splitting screech as metal grinded against metal and the concrete wall.
ll
ll
After the dust had settled, there was the transport they had used, now crashed into the garage door, which still held, the vehicle though, was totaled, the front bumper was touching the first set of passenger seats is how bad the damage was. But there was something leaking from the vehicle, and it was a red liquid dripping from the remains.
ll
ll
The girls were horrified, had their friends just casually committed suicide right in front of them?
ll
ll
ll
The girls were frozen, although Michiru and Setsuna were slightly less horrified than everyone else.
ll
ll
But soon after...
ll
ll
ll
Ami felt a tap on her shoulder and she jumped.
ll
ll
(Usagi) Did it work?
ll
ll
(Rei) Yeah, I'm surprised we had something heavy enough to pull that off.
ll
ll
Everyone calmed down. They used the confusion made by the crash to jump over the barbed wire and onto the other side.
ll
ll
ll
ll
ll
ll
ll
ll
THEY ARE HERE...
ll
ll
ll
The girls were in the Tokyo Metropolitan Area, a place famous worldwide. It was what drew in all the foreigners, with its many attractions and bright lights. But now, it was a skeleton of its former self. Since the beginning, it was taken completely by surprise. Once somebody was infected, it was like a zombie movie.
ll
ll
One bit another, than that person would bit another, then bite another, than another and anotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranother
anotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranotheranother...
ll
Until, everyone was either trying to escape alive or was infected. Although most of them had succumbed to their fates with time, some were resilient enough to hold on for much longer. But even those that held out hope... eventually succumbed to their fates.
ll
ll
ll
The town was a depressing and unnerving sight. There was a celebration that was to take place right before the infected went hunting. There were banners stretching from building to building, advertising the event, but now, they were completely black and tattered from the weather. Buildings looked like they had been abandoned for years, sediment building up after months and windows breaking from the passage of time. There wasn't anything to give a sign of life.
ll
The girls walked, their footsteps echoing in the vast forest of buildings that towered over them, casting dark shadows, giving the feeling of unease.
ll
Weapons were drawn, everyone covering a different angle as they moved forward.
ll
To make things worse, the sky became dark with storm clouds and it began to rain. It went from afternoon, to night in minutes.
ll
If things weren't eerie already, the street lamps were activated.
ll
They were at an intersection when they heard a familiar sound and felt the magnetism rise. Haruka was nearby.
ll
ll
They ran. Trying to find the girl who went in alone.
ll
ll
ll
They turned another corner, Ami pointing out that they were heading to an area where the magnetism was highest.
ll
ll
They ran and ran, hoping to find her alive.
ll
ll
ll
ll
ll
ll
ll
As they turned a final corner, they saw a silhouette of a woman near a lamppost, wearing what seemed to be the outfit of a Sailor Guardian.
ll
ll
(Michiru) HARUKA! IT'S ME, MICHRU!
ll
The silhouette turned her head towards the group
ll
Michiru was about to fall into a dead sprint, but Setsuna used her staff to put her into a hold wrangling Michiru back.
ll
Looking at Setsuna and everyone else, Michiru darted her eyes to each member, hoping they would force Setsuna to release her, but to no avail. But there was a look on everyone's faces as they stared forward, a face of mourning.
ll
(Michiru) What..? What is it? Look, she's right there! Let me go talk to her!
ll
ll
(Ami) Michiru... I'm sorry for your loss.
ll
Michirus's heart stopped for a second.
ll
ll
(Michiru) What is that supposed to mean!? Are you gonna kill her!? I WON'T LET YOU!
ll
ll
(Rei) Michiru. Look again.
ll
ll
ll
ll
Michiru whipped her head back towards the silhouette again. She looked and the silhouette had stepped into the lamp light. Michiru's face fell. All she could do was breath...
ll
ll
Standing a few hundred feet away was Haruka, but her eyes were no longer the deep, navy blue that Michiru had come to adore. They were now glossed over. Her skin was a deathly shade of white. Her uniform had stains from the infected she was able to kill. But there were shallow bite marks all over her arms and legs. In the silence, everyone could hear the gurgling sound coming from her throat.
ll
ll
(Michiru) No... No... That can't be her. She was supposed to live and we were supposed to go to college together...
ll
ll
The inner Sailor Guardians stepped forward.
ll
ll
(Michiru) What are you gonna do?
ll
ll
ll
(Rei) I'm sorry Michiru, but we have to eliminate her. She's too dangerous to be left alone.
ll
ll
(Usagi) Everyone... get ready. Setsuna, Hotaru... hold her down.
ll
Michiru looked at Setsuna and Hotaru, now they both held her down with all their strength.
ll
The clicking sounds of weapons loading alerted the infected guardian once more and she shot a World Shaking at the Guardians position as she started to shakily sprint towards them.
ll
ll
All the guardians jumped out of the way and into different positions.
ll
Michiru shook against Setsuna's grip, but Setsuna was now assisted by Hotaru and they both held her to the ground as she struggled to break free.
ll
ll
ll
ll
After dodging the initial attack, the guardians all shot at their former ally, hoping to hit something that would slow her down. But they were also having to dodge at the infected's attempts to scratch or even bite them at point black attacks.
ll
ll
It was so painful to watch, but she couldn't look away. Michiru watched as her lover, now infected, attacked the Sailor Guardians.
ll
ll
Every time they would shoot, she would instinctively dodge them and go in for another slash or bite attempt. The infected at one point even managed to summon Haruka's revolver and tried to shoot everyone, but since it was an infected, it was only able to shoot randomly in different directions.
ll
After many failed attempts, the infected threw the gun to the side and it faded away. She used two World Shaking orbs to defeat the girls, but she would miss by small margins each time, narrowly avoiding killing the girls.
One of the World Shakings went near Michiru, Setsuna and Hotaru. It went 10 feet from where Michiru was still struggling.
ll
It seemed like it was an even battle. The girls were unable to hit their target and their target wasn't fast enough to hit them.
ll
ll
But then the girls switched tactics. They put away their guns and went back to their old ways.
ll
ll
ll
(Ami) Mercury Aqua Rhapsody!
ll
(Makoto) Super Supreme Thunder!
ll
(Rei) Mars Flaming Sniper!
ll
ll
ll
ll
Their attacks hit in sequence. First Mercury Aqua Rhapsody and Super Supreme Thunder were combined to create a water based attack that was charged with a lethal amount of electricity.
ll
ll
The attack struck the infected. She was wet and her internal organs were fried from the attack, but she still was able to continue moving.
ll
ll
The arrow from Rei's flaming sniper shot at the infected Sailor's leg and took it clean off, leaving a charred amputation of her leg.
ll
ll
ll
Michiru screamed as she begged for them to stop, her words falling on deaf ears as they continued their attack.
ll
ll
ll
The infected Haruka still stood still on one leg, inspecting her torso for her now missing leg.
ll
Before the infected could continue to attack, Sailor Venus and Sailor Moon attacked.
ll
ll
ll
(Minako) VENUS LOVE-ME CHAIN!
ll
ll
ll
The bright orange chain found its way to Haruka and wrapped around her tightly. She struggled against the chain but Minako held tightly.
ll
ll
ll
Michiru continued to beg, her pleas getting louder and more hysterical. But still, the Sailor Guardians continued on their mission.
ll
ll
ll
Without her chant, Usagi launched her tiara and it swung around Haruka before slicing its way through Haruka's head. The corpse went limp and fell for the final time. Haruka had completed her mission as a Sailor Guardian, even keeping her word until she was no more.
ll
ll
ll
Michiru was let go and she ran to Haruka's lifeless body. She looked at her face. Now that the infection was dying, her muscles relaxed and she seemed to be most peaceful she had sent since this had all started. She felt so guilty that the last time she ever spoke to Haruka, was an argument.
ll
ll
After some searching, the girls gathered a makeshift gravestone, a shovel and flowers. Finding a grassy place with beautiful Sakura trees. They dug a grave. They carried Haruka's mangled body to her final resting place.
ll
The girls buried Haruka. Afterwards, Usagi used her powers to use her tiara to engrave Haruka's name and her identity as Sailor Uranus into the heavy stone.
ll
ll
Everyone stayed for hours, remembering Haruka before the Infected outbreak. They remembered the Haruka that fought alongside them, who name-called them silly names, who was their lover and remembered her as their friend and teammate.
ll
ll
Everyone silently shed their tears for Haruka except for Michiru. Michiru was loudly sobbing and as she reprimanded Haruka for going alone and not waiting for her. It continued to rain, making the loss one that would be reminded whenever there was rain. A reminder, that one of them was lost that day and she would never return.
ll
ll
Night was falling and they found an apartment building to use for shelter for the night. Everyone slept in higher level rooms in pairs. But Michiru, she declined to sleep with anyone and went to her own room. One that reminded her of Haruka's apartment in Minato City.
ll
ll

End of Episode 15: The Rain
P.S.: I'm sorry for everyone whose favorite character was Haruka.
