The six young adults are out for lunch at a Mexican restaurant in Yabbie Creek. Casey is scoffing down his taco causing Kyle to roll his eyes.
"Sorry guys, don't be fooled. Casey does get fed every day." Kyle says causing Casey to look at him. Tamara hits Kyle on the arm lightly for being cheeky.
"What do you mean?" He asks his mouth full of food.
"You're eating like a pig." Kyle says. Tamara and Denny look at each other and roll their eyes.
"You're such a clean freak Kylie."Casey huffs with food in his mouth. Denny hits Casey this time for being cheeky.
"Why? Because I think table manners are important?" Kyle says.
"That is a clean freak typical sentence." Casey huffs as he wipes his mouth:
"The sentence is it's a typical clean freak sentence!" Kyle argues.
"They mean the same thing!" Casey huffs.
"Yeah, I guess but mine flows nicer!" Kyle says
"You're such a nerd! No wonder Tamara called you a walking thesaurus!"
"Oh my god! Will the pair of you shut up! We have company!" Tamara says,
Kyle shrugs. "Look I'm just trying to make sure he eats nice."
"Such a goody goody." Casey says with his mouth full of good.
"Oh yeah?" Kyle questions.
"Boys!" Both girls say. They know it's all playful but both Mac and Trent look uncomfortable.
"Okay change of subject, what do you do for a job Trent?" Denny asks, this causes Trent to look slightly embarrassed.
"I'm at uni. I'm studying to be a sort of guidance counselor." Trent admits. Kyle stops his food on the way to his mouth. He would be lying if he said he wasn't shocked.
"I screwed up as a kid. I'm training to talk to school bullies about why they pick on kids. Help them to open up about their problems," Trent explains.
Tamara looks at Kyle who seems lost for words. "That sounds really nice Trent." Tamara says.
"You found out why your old friends bullied Kyle?" Casey asks. Kyle glares up at Casey.
"Vince and the twins were spoilt too much as kids, and Phoebe well so was she, the other girls, well they didn't get enough attention from daddy." Trent shrugs this causes Casey to chuckle.
"Daddy issues are great aren't they Kylie?" He says causing Kyle to roll his eyes and Trent to look confused.
"It's a long and complicated story." Kyle admits.
Trent nods his head understandably. "So are you going to go to the reunion?" Trent asks. Kyle shrugs lightly in reply and sighs.
"Yeah, I'm kinda nervous for it through." Kyle admits.
Trent smiles lightly. "I get that."
"Vince and the others going?" Kyle asks, he's nervous for this answer.
Trent shrugs. "No idea I haven't talked to them in 2 years."
Kyle nods his head. He knows that he needs to prepare himself for seeing his bullies.
"What do you do Kyle?" Trent asks. He often wondered what Kyle ended up doing. He had the ability to do just about anything.
"I'm the manager of a restaurant in Summer Bay." Kyle says causing Trent to nod.
"That's cool, it was obvious that you would go well in life." Trent says, this causes Kyle to chuckle.
"Hardly, it's Brax's restaurant, so it's not that amazing that I'm manager." Kyle says causing Casey and Tamara to shake their heads. Kyle always underestimates his ability.
"So Tamara, how far along are you?" Mac asks.
"About three months. But you'd think I'd be a lot further along by the way that Kyle's acting." Tamara says. "He's a total softie."
This causes Mac to chuckle. "Believe me, I know. Have you seen him watch any dog movie?" Mac asks, this causes Tamara to grin.
"No what is he like?" She asks.
"Let's not talk about it." Kyle says in an attempt to interrupt.
"No let's." Casey smirks, Kyle glares at his brother.
"He cries. He loves dogs and has always wanted one." Max giggles.
"Mac! Come on!" Kyle complains.
"Awww Kyle! I think it's sweet!" Tamara says and kisses Kyle on the cheek.
"It's totally adorable." Casey laughs.
"Bite me!" Kyle says glaring at him.
"Are they always like this?" Trent asks Denny and Tamara.
"Pretty much." The girls reply.
…
After they had lunch the six young adults walk into the Braxton house to see their older brothers and their partners sitting on the couch.
"Hey good lunch?" Heath questions as he glares at Trent.
"Yeah good lunch. Thanks for asking Heath, it's nice to know you care." Kyle replies cheekily.
"Watch the cheek Kylie." He says and then glares again at Trent. "You can go now!"
Kyle rolls his eyes at his brothers overprotectiveness. He appreciates ot. But he wonders if it's too far.
"Okay. I'll see you at the reunion Kyle." Trent says.
Mac gives Kyle a kiss on the cheek and Tamara and hug before taking her boyfriends hand and they make their way outside.
"I like him." Casey says causing his two eldest brothers to roll their eyes.
"You only like him cause he brought you food!" Heath huffs.
"That's not true!" Casey argues.
"Yeah he also brought him alcohol." Kyle chuckles. "Besides we've been over this. Wouldn't you like one of your bullying victims to allow you to prove to them that you've changed?" Kyle questions.
"This is different!" Brax argues.
Kyle furrows his eyebrows. "How?"
"Because you're our little brother. We weren't around to save you then so I'm sure as hell going to make sure they don't hurt you again. No one gets to push or order you around." Brax argues.
Kyle takes a breath. Once again he thinks how nice it would have been to have his brothers around when he was a kid. But he can sense that Trent isn't out to hurt him. "I appreciate that Brax. I really do. But Trent isn't going to hurt me again, I just know it."
"I'm sure he won't, especially because we threatened to kill him." Heath smirks and walks over and roughly ruffles his brothers hair. "Now be a good boy and make me a bacon and egg bagel."
Kyle glares at his brother. "Brax just said you wouldn't let anyone push or order me around." Kyle gasps.
"Oh you thought that included me and Heath, how cute. Make it two." Brax laughs as he slaps Kyle on the back.
Casey lightly raises his hand. "How about three?"
"You've just eaten." Kyle argues. He doesn't understand how Casey can eat so much.
"Yeah but now I'm hungry again. It's called the circle of the stomach Kyle," Casey says.
"No it's called you being a bottomless pit. But fine one for you as well, but you're helping." Kyle argues causing Casey to shrug.
"Alright. I'll do the bacon, you do the eggs then get the bagels ready." Casey instructs pushing Kyle away from the pan.
"Yeah yeah." Kyle huffs. Annoying that now Casey's ordering him around.
