Chapter 25 The Combination

"So let me get this straight. After Sakura-chan combined with her dark side, she did some kind of jutsu to allow Ino-chan and Hinata-chan to awaken and combine with their own, and somehow the three of you have literally... 'combined together' into one person?" Naruto asked.

"That's the gist of it, yes."

"And I'm assuming you can't just... uncombine?" Naruto asked.

The girl shook her head. "I tried to cancel it like any other jutsu, nothing happened. I don't know what else to do."

Naruto sighed. "I'm starting to feel like every time I open my door something weird happens."

"How do you think I feel? Or... we feel? You know what I mean. I mean, what we mean."

Naruto looked on at the person claiming to be a three person fusion. The face mostly resembled Sakura's, but the eyes were a blue-green version of the byakugan. The hair was unique, it started as a light red, darker than pink, in the front but became more of a crimson by the back. The hair framing her face was like Sakura's but longer on the right side, and held up in a ponytail like Ino's yet the tail was shaped more like Hinata's hair. The body was similar to all three, being fit for an experienced kunoichi, with manicured nails, and it seemed the chest was the same size as Hinata's. Though that may have been because this person was wearing Hinata's clothes. The only other thing she had with her was a sealing scroll she placed on the table and had yet to open.

"Naruto-kun, do you have any robes or something I can wear?" The combo asked. The voice was unique, but to Naruto it sounded the most similar to Ino's.

"Why?"

"It's just... whatever fused us together didn't factor in our clothes. I'm wearing Hinata's right now as they were the only ones that fit and I sealed the others away, but these clothes aren't exactly comfortable on this body. My measurements are... I think from all three."

"No problem Sakura-chan... I mean... which one is in charge?"

The fusion person fidgeted. "Honestly, I think I'm my own person. I'm... I'm Sakura and Ino and Hinata, but at the same time I'm different from all three. Like a fourth persona. Made up of all three but not the same as them."

"Wait, so this isn't like Light Sakura and Dark Sakura, but more a case of 'one plus one plus one equals four'?" Naruto asked.

The hybrid nodded. "That's the best way I can describe it. I'm not hearing any voices in my head telling me what one girl wants or anything."

Naruto got up and went to his room, soon coming out with a bathrobe that he offered. "Here you go... Sahino?"

"Sahino?" The girl repeated, confused.

"I need to call you something don't I?"

The girl smiled and took the robe. "Thank you Naruto-kun." She then took off Hinata's jacket, exposing her bra-less chest. Naruto blushed and turned away, making Sahino chuckle. "Relax Naruto-kun, all three stripped for you already, why be shy when I do it?"

"Because for all I know, you don't like me like they do."

Sahino grinned and after removing her pants, panties, and shoes she moved in front of him, grabbing his arm to keep him from turning away. He looked at her and she wrapped her arms around him, planting an intimate kiss on his lips. Naruto returned it and wrapped his arms around her while she moved to sit on his lap.

"All three girls that made me loved you Naruto-kun. Did you think I wouldn't?" Sahino asked.

"It still was only respectful not to assume. And are you sure Ino-chan loved me? I thought she was still uncertain but willing to find out." Naruto answered.

Sahino stroked his hair lovingly. "I can't speak for her, but if Ino felt even one-third of the love that I feel right now, then yes she loved you Naruto-kun."

"Are you sure you actually love me? I mean, that was what Sakura-chan and Hinata-chan felt for sure, and if you're right then Ino-chan was falling for me. But you, you were just 'born' feeling that. Don't you worry that it's not real?"

Sahino looked a little hurt and sad. "Are you saying that I'm not real?"

Naruto blinked. "What? No, obviously you're real. But... I mean, you're what? Technically only an hour old give or take? But you have sixteen years worth of knowledge and memories from three different sources."

"Actually I don't have any of the memories from the three girls." Sahino interjected. "I tried, but I can't recall anything specific. Like what Sakura had for breakfast or what Ino did on her last birthday. It's like the basics of memories are there, that's how I knew where you lived, but personal memories are just not there."

"So you can't say you have any memories of me, just feelings that were forced onto you by the other three. They love me, you can't honestly say you do." Naruto pointed out.

Sahino looked at him with wide eyes before tears started to fall down her cheeks. Before Naruto could say anything, she grabbed ahold of his shoulders and began to cry into his chest. He wrapped his arms around her, stroking her hair to make her feel better.

"I'm sorry Sahino-chan. I didn't mean-"

"No, don't apologize. You're right, I have all these feelings for you, but no reason of my own to feel them. Just... their reasons. I can't say I love if I myself have no reason to love you... and loving you is all I want to do."

"That can't be all. I mean, you don't exist just to be with me. I mean, I don't know how this fusion thing works, but it wasn't done just for me. And don't take this the wrong way, but it can be undone right?"

Sahino shed a few more tears. "I... I think so. Sakura's ancestor came up with an ability that made use of separating and combining the mind. Maybe this was an unexpected side effect, being able to combine physically instead of just mentally. I'm sure separating is possible, but I don't know how. And honestly, I'm kind of afraid."

"I understand. That means you wouldn't be around anymore. I'd be afraid too if I was you. But is it fair to take away their lives to keep your own?"

Sahino sniffled and wiped one eye, but the tears kept falling. "No, it wouldn't be fair, and I wouldn't deserve your love if I were selfish and kept your three loved ones from you. I should find a way to bring them back to you, but... could I... would it be selfish...?"

"I understand. You don't have to force it." Naruto soothed.

Sahino smiled and looked at him, giving him another kiss. "Thank you. I'm sorry for any trouble I've brought you."

"Don't. Helping you or the other three is never something I'd regret. Sure it seems a lot of weird stuff has happened since all this started, but it's been the best thing to ever happen to me. I'm so happy to go to bed knowing that three, or four, women love me now. Besides, I told them all that my home was their home, so of course that applies to you too Sahino-chan."

Sahino gently cupped the whiskered blonde's face, looking like he had said the nicest thing she had ever heard, and just stared into his eyes lovingly. Feeling it was wanted, this time Naruto kissed her, which she was all too happy to comply with. He rubbed her back, keeping his hands just on the back, and she wiggled her hips against his playfully.

"Naruto-kun, I know this might be a bit much, but can I ask you something before I do separate again?"

"Anything. What is it?"

"I want you to make love to me."

Naruto looked understandably stunned. "You... want that? Now?"

Sahino nodded. "I want my love for you to be real. I want to be certain that if I never exist again after this, that I won't be some mistake made by three girls that didn't know what they were doing. I..." She started to tremble and look afraid, while looking away from him. "I don't want to be forgotten. To stop existing completely."

"It's okay." Naruto soothed.

"No it's not. I'm not a real person. I'm the unintended result of a jutsu, an accident. I don't even know if I have a soul. When I separate, how do I know I won't cease to exist? Or if they do recombine, how do I know I'll be back or a whole new Sahino will take my place? This could be my only chance at being alive."

She looked back to the orange-clad jinchuuriki. "Please Naruto-kun, make me feel alive. If this is my only chance to experience life and love, then let it be one worth having."

Naruto's mind was storming with thoughts right now. Part of him wanted to fulfill her wish, but another part of him wondered if this would hurt Sakura, Ino, or Hinata if he did. Would they remember it at all? Wouldn't this be taking advantage of a girl? If he didn't do as she asked, wouldn't he be breaking her heart and telling her that she was unworthy of love? And if he did do as she asked, wouldn't that be encouraging her to stay fused? What if it wasn't up to her and this state of being was permanent? What if Sakura, Hinata, and Ino were gone and Sahino was all that was left? Didn't he have a responsibility towards her then?

Naruto's lack of an answer, verbal or otherwise, started to make Sahino tear up. She closed her eyes and began to move off his lap. The motion snapped him out of it and he grabbed her, pulling her into a hug.

"Naruto-kun."

"Whatever confusion I'm feeling right now must be nothing compared to what you're feeling. I don't know if you being here is permanent or if you'll only be alive this one day, but... if one day of life is all you'll have, then I want to make it a day worth living."

Sahino smiled warmly and leaned into his embrace. "And if I am here to stay?"

"Then I'll take care of you forever. Just like I would the three who made you."

Sahino looked into his eyes and gave him another kiss. This time she pulled him towards her and maneuvered herself to be on her back on the floor with him on top of her. Hopefully Naruto would take the hint and then take her.

To her surprise, Naruto broke the kiss and got off her.

"Naruto-kun?" She asked, confused and somewhat afraid.

"Not like this." He said before getting up and then picking her up bridal style. "You should be comfortable."

She felt so loved as she was carried off into his bedroom and gently placed on his bed. She scooted into the center and gave him a sultry look while spreading her legs enough to make sure he could see what she had to offer. Naruto saw and kind of went into a trance staring at her core.

"Is something wrong?" Sahino asked, sensing his unease.

For a brief moment, Naruto paused. This was his last chance to back out, to stop this while it could still be stopped. In the back of his mind, years of anti-perversion that got drilled into his head tried to get him to listen, but he strangely felt unafraid for once. He looked into Sahino's eyes, seeing nothing but compassion and desire for him, not a shred of anything that he had come to associate with women's views on men wanting sex. Tears started to collect in the corners of his eyes, and before she could ask if something was wrong he came down and kissed her. She wrapped her arms around him and held him close to her, never wanting to let him go.

"I love you." He whispered when they parted lips. "All four of you, you're the best thing to ever happen to me. As weird as this whole thing is, I don't regret any of it. All four of you mean more to me than being hokage ever could. As long as I have you girls in my life, I'll have everything I ever wanted."

Sahino smiled and released numerous tears from her eyes. Any makeup she wore that had been transferred over from Ino was now ruined, but she didn't mind. She couldn't speak, but her smile was enough.

Naruto got himself aligned with her opening, being careful since he remembered Shizune telling him he couldn't just thrust inside a girl like putting a straw in a juice box. "So, do you understand me?"

Kakashi stood there stoically before Tsunade for a moment, giving no indication to the mood he was feeling. "Are you positive that this is the route you wish to take regarding the situation Hokage-sama?"

"I'm entrusting you to resolve this in a peaceful way Kakashi. Naruto will feel a need to hear you out and take you seriously even if he disagrees with you. If anyone can convince him to rescind this strike, it's you. Why are you against this?"

"I'm not, I'm against what you said you'd do if I failed to achieve that goal. And I don't care for the fact that you're willing to risk what little respect Naruto has for me in order to keep him in line for yourself."

"He's a genin, you're his jounin officer. His respect for you is a luxury compared to his obedience." Tsunade stated.

"That's sounding rather tyrannical of you Hokage-sama." Kakashi pointed out.

Tsunade frowned. "I have no intention of being a tyrant, but the fact is Naruto being on strike creates several problems that frankly we cannot afford to have in our village. I am giving you the chance to resolve this in the least conflicting way possible, but if you can't or won't do that, then I'll have no choice but to resort to the drastic solution."

Kakashi sighed. "Then I guess I have no choice. I just hope you're ready to deal with the consequences of losing Naruto's trust."

"Jiraiya clearly filled his head with thoughts of entitlement. Likely made the gaki believe he was Konoha's prince and personal savior. The fact that Naruto went on strike just proves he thinks he's above this village and allowed to take everyone for granted. He's on the verge of becoming just like the Uchiha. He needs to be brought down to Earth and realize being the Yondaime's son does not mean he can demand special treatment. If anything he has to prove he deserves it more than anyone else. So tell him to accept his rank and be a good ninja."

"Or else what?" Kakashi asked. "What will you do to him if he doesn't? Fire him? Kill him? Replace him? What threat do you have to use?"

"He doesn't need to know, he just needs to believe there will be consequences to refusing to do his job."

"His job as a ninja, or his role as a jinchuuriki?" Kakashi pressed.

Tsunade looked ready to punch the cycloptic jounin. "Just go before I do it myself Hatake."

"As you wish." He said before disappearing.
