Raylan had to admit that he thought arriving in Teyvat would be more glamorous than simply being flung from a portal at high speed before colliding with the ground with enough force to create small tremors, getting a face full of fresh dirt and rock as he skid to a halt.
Ten out of ten landing strategy.
Something to work on in the future. How to not land on your face when flung from a portal at Mach 10 speeds, breaking the sound barrier as he went. A shame he never considered such a scenario during his century of training, perhaps he could have actually landed on his feet if he did!
Something for his next training session!
"Smoothest landing Ray," The young god thought to himself, "Note to self, portals are assholes." He pushed himself up off the ground to a kneeling position before brushing off any dust or dirt on his jacket and pants. "A bit of warning would have been nice though."
He received no response to that from Istaroth but he had expected as much. She did say he would temporarily lose contact with her due to the energy cost of the portal.
"Get well soon, Ista." Raylan thought as he stood up, "See you soon." Finally taking in his surroundings the young god's eyes widened.
To his surprise, he found he wasn't anywhere he'd expected to be in Teyvat. It was dark, darker than he thought it would be. There was what looked like a sky around him across the horizon, with what looked like stars dotted all around.
But when Raylan looked up he was met with something he wasn't expecting.
Solid ground.
"Shit," Raylan muttered as he continued his observation of the area. As it turned out he was in a massive underground space, with little to no fauna with grass and a few trees scattered about. The world had a different, darker energy to it.
One he'd become accustomed to over his one hundred years of training.
That's when it hit him.
"I'm underground, likely in the Abyss." He summarized in his head. "Maybe just deep underground." He conceded a moment later. The fact that the place was nowhere near as bleak as it should have been was a dead giveaway that he wasn't in the deepest, darkest depths of the Abyss.
It actually reminded him of the Spiral Abyss in the game, with planets being visible around the arena the player usually fought in. But it wasn't like other known Abyssal or subterranean regions, like Enkanomiya or the Chasm, this place felt unique.
Still, regardless, he was underground. That kinda did make some sort of sense, he was supposed to be the Archon of the Abyss so it was reasonable to assume he'd have started his journey near the Abyss. It would have been problematic for him to be dropped into one of the seven nations whilst he reeked of abyss magic. That likely would not have ended well.
Raylan glanced around him once more, taking in the world's strange and enchanting beauty. The young god couldn't help but smile, feeling the lightest breeze across his face. It was a welcome change to the still void space he'd lived in for the last one hundred years.
But then a thought hit him.
"Where the hell am I meant to go?" Raylan turned in every direction in search of what looked like a way to the surface but all he found were the same pretty open spaces all around. There were plenty of ways for him to go, like over a series of hills in the distance, through a cavern or across open plains with grass just stretching on.
With no signs of an exit to the surface.
"...bollocks," Raylan muttered as he brought a hand up to rub his eyes. He sighed, "Ah well, let's just pick a direction and move, anywhere is better than here." He thought.
Raylan wasted no more time lingering as he began strolling toward the hills in the distance. With any luck he would find a way out by heading toward hills, they did lead up after all, but if not he at least could get a better vantage point than from where he was right now.
With his destination in sight, Raylans' mind turned to formulating some sort of plan for how he'd go about saving Teyvat, whatever that meant.
He had a lot of choices to make, among them being where he should start his journey, his mission. He needed allies, that was for damn sure, but the question was where he should go looking for them first?
Mondstadt had the knights, who were a very helpful and polite bunch of people, and Venti might be able to lend a hand, but he wouldn't get many answers from him on Celestia. He was always skittish about that topic. On a plus note, they did have Klee, she'd be useful in a war against some gods, right?
Sumeru was another damn good option, mainly because of the Radish Queen Nahida herself, he could get some answers to some mysteries of the world from her and the Akademiya. Maybe even find ways to get stronger than he was, he was going to need all the power-ups he could get for the future, and Nahida might have some good suggestions.
Sure, he was as strong as an Archon, a God, but he was still just one man. One man that might have to take on a pantheon of gods, the Gods of Celestia, but also whatever monsters hidden inside the Abyss, like the Midnight Mother of the Great Sinner, that decide to challenge him for his new title. Could he take all of Celestia at once? Fuck no. That was suicide. He had to play his cards right, and find new powers to use. Something to give him the edge against other gods and take down opponents one by one.
Liyue had plenty to offer in life but sadly not a lot for his mission. The Quixing were unlikely to divert resources his way, not until he gained their trust, and given the fact, Raylan wasn't going to be rich any time soon he would have to work his way up to the top to meet with the likes of Ningguang or Keqing. Rex Lapis, or Zhongli, also had a potential contract with Celestia with details he didn't know about. Would he try to kill him due to the contract? Raylan hoped not.
Inazuma could be a disaster if he upset Ei. The nation wasn't exactly stable when the Traveler arrived, so how upset would the Raiden Shogun be if another God wandered onto her turf aiming to change the world's fate? Yeah, Nah, she was not going to be happy to see him. Not to mention Yae Miko was there, enough said about that cheeky fox.
There was the option of attempting to infiltrate the Fatui, work with the bad guys, but Raylan couldn't imagine himself being a Fauti Harbanger despite how cool that sounded. The idea of aiding those who so cruelly threw lives away just didn't sit well with him. Most of them were sociopaths who didn't care about the lives of others, Raylan, by contrast, was here to save as many lives as he could.
It was a shame, but the chances were they wouldn't mesh well with one another.
Not to mention the fact that the good Doctor was a scumbag that deserved to be gutted for what he'd done to Collei and Nahida. Being a sexy villain only saved you for so long, the 2nd Harbingers days were numbered if Raylan had anything to say about it.
A shrill scream pulled Raylan from his thoughts, his head whipped in the direction of the noise. He wasted no time bursting forth with incredible speed, even leaping over a small hilltop as he ran. As he reached the apex of the hill on the other side he found a small caravan convoy, three of the four wagons were destroyed, shattered into bits of wood and the like, with a number of people using the fourth one as cover.
Not that it would have been very effective against an abyss monster.
The terrified people were being attacked by an Abyss Dragon.
Raylan didn't hesitate to summon Void energy around him and rush forward, closing the distance in the blink of an eye with blistering speeds. In an instant, he was standing between the last remaining wagon and the abyss dragon monster. It didn't matter if it was strange for people to be down here or not, they needed help and he wasn't going to abandon them in their time of need.
Raylan, for a moment, noted how it didn't resemble Durin in size. It wasn't as large as the fearsome dragon of the cataclysm, but it was monstrous looking in its own right. Demonic hollowed eye sockets with a menacing red glare emanating from within its bony skull. Its body and wings were covered in spikes, all of which were coated in a black gooey substance that Raylan guessed was abyssal corruption.
The creature's head reared back in what could be perceived as surprise at Raylan's appearance before roaring at him. The people cowered behind the wagon, covering their ears from the sheer volume.
Raylan winced, "That was loud." Although unaffected by the roar, he had his doubts it hadn't been heard. "Hope that wasn't a call for backup." He muttered as the beast's attention was solely on him now, the wagon with the civilians thankfully being ignored by the creature.
The dragon opened its mouth slightly, abyssal energy began forming in its mouth. Raylan, knowing what was about to come, held out his hand and formed a spear made of Void energy in his right hand. In his left, he prepared void energy for defense.
"Alright big boy, let's dance!" He twirled it in his hand, shifted his stance, and prepared for an incoming attack. A second later abyssal energy shot from the dragon's maw aimed directly at the young god. Raylan countered by firing off his own void energy from his hand, the two powers collided which resulted in a massive explosion which was directed both upward and to the sides, avoiding the god and his foe as well as the wagon of survivors. The concussive force was enough to break up the ground, shattering rock as it went.
Raylan, deciding to go on the offense, leaped through the cloud of smoke created by the explosion spear first. The speed from his jump was enough to disperse the smoke as he reared his spear back.
The abyssal monster's head reared up in surprise, its neck twisting slightly, but quickly recovered its attack. The beast lunged at him head first, jaws open with abyssal mist pouring out of its mouth.
Raylan intercepted the attack by thrusting the tip of his spear directly into the monsters approaching head. Built-up void energy within his spear exploded upon impact, violently throwing the beast backward as he howled in pain.
The abyss dragon stumbled back, barely catching itself on its six legs. Raylan landed on the ground with a roll back to his feet, and a twirl of his spear as he readied himself to continue.
The explosion had clearly injured the beast as a black substance oozed from the injury like a bleeding wound would, but that alone wouldn't be enough to fell the creature. The abyss dragon recovered, head swiveling toward the one who'd just wounded it. See Raylan standing before it the beast swiped its massive spiked tail across the ground.
The force of the swing was enough to break up the ground in various ways, but as it closed in on Raylan he backflipped over the tail. The swing continued and ended up throwing dirt and rock into the air away from them.
Having failed to hit Raylan the dragon lunged with its maw open in a clear attempt to eat him, but once again Raylan dodged the attack. This time, with the dragon's head passing right by him, Raylan thrust the blade into the creature's neck and ripped through the beast's flesh leaving behind a sizable wound.
More of the abyssal substance oozed from its newest wound, with the dragon writhing its head around from the pain as it struggled to remain standing. Raylan jumped high into the air, twirling the void spear in his hand, building up energy into the weapon before hurling himself through the air with a burst of abyss magic.
The beast had no time to react as Raylan drove the spear through the creatures head, straight below its eyesocket. The energy built up in the spear exploded violently within the beasts body, blowing a chunk of its head clean off.
Raylan jumped back as the abyss creature limbed, lifelessly falling, its body crashed into the ground, shaking it from its weight. The young god landed thirty feet away from the monster as the body stilled, jaw slacked, completely dead.
Raylan whipped his hand, dispersing his void weapon with the flick of a wrist. The monster's body slowly began to dissolve with abyssal ooze seeping out of its various wounds and orifices such as its mouth and eyes.
Its corpse would surely corrupt this area in time if left unchecked.
But more importantly, the people were now safe.
"Sorry big fella," Raylan said as he gazed over the creature's corpse, "You might not have deserved to die like this but it was either you or the innocent people you planned to kill."
It might have been odd to hear but Raylan derived no joy from slaying this beast, he recalled the stories of Durin and how, in its own mind, it wanted to play with Barbados and Dvalin but in reality, it was destroying the world around it as it went.
If this creature was in any way similar then it was truly a shame it had come to this.
Raylans' gaze turned back to the abyssal energy leaking from the creature, "I best do something about that before it becomes a problem."
The young god moved closer to the fallen beast, walking up the abyssal corruption spreading across the ground. Raylan held out his hand and began conjuring void energy within his hand, using that energy he began drawing the abyssal ooze into him.
The ooze began to float upward before being pulled into Raylan via several tendrils of abyss magic. As the Abyss Archon absorbed the energy, the abyss dragon's body began to pulse and jerk violently as the energy within the corpse was forcibly pulled from within toward Raylan.
The whole process lasted a few seconds before all the energy had been completely absorbed from the surrounding area, leaving no abyssal corruption to be seen but also a hollowed-out corpse of the dragon he'd just slain.
"Jeez, am I the Dragonborn or something?" Raylan, surprised to have done that to the corpse, looked at his hand for a moment. He flexed his hand, each finger, feeling the familiar void energy coursing through him. That whole experience almost felt natural, like he was absorbing power that had always been his. "Was this what it feels like for the Archons and their elements?" He wondered.
Archons did resist their own elements, and the same was said for him. Raylan was immune to Abyssal Corruption, it didn't corrupt him because he controlled it, he wielded the abyss. It was his now. Unlike others who would have to be corrupted to use Abyss Magic, he had no such limitations.
As Raylan finished his little stunt he heard a meek voice from behind.
"Um… hello? Sir?" A small, soft feminine voice spoke from behind him. Raylan turned to find a young woman, no older than nineteen, looking directly at him from just over ten feet away. Soft blonde hair, slim, dressed very modestly in knee-high boots, knee-length skirt, with a long fluffy loose women's top with a shawl covering her. She stood straight, with her hand scrunching her shawl as she watched him. Her soft face was twisted in both concern and evident exhaustion. She was covered in dirt and a small patch of blood at the hem of her skirt.
Raylan did note how odd her attire was in style. It wasn't like anything he'd seen from the seven nations in the game.
"Sup," Raylan replied with a wave of his hand as he turned to the woman. He didn't attempt to move closer to her, just in case she was frightened by him in some way. He did just slay an abyss dragon right in front of her after all. "You alright? Anyone with you hurt?" He nodded in the direction of the last remaining wagon.
The same wagon he could see had several people rushing about it, picking through boxes or sacks in search of something. Two people seemed to be wrestling the last horse of their convoy, attempting to keep the creature calm whilst they attached him to the last functioning wagon. With one person, a man, looking over at him and the young woman in front of him in what he could only assume was worry and concern.
The woman seemed taken aback for a moment before lunging forward, closing the gap between them to around two feet.
"Please, help us!" She cried, clutching her shawl with both hands now. "My mother was seriously hurt in the attack! Can you help us?!" Her voice wavered as she spoke, clearly scared for her mothers' sake, with tears welling up in her eyes.
"I can help, show me," Raylan replied with no hesitation. The young woman wasted no time when she grabbed him by the hand and pull him toward the wagon, with Raylan noticing her left hand was wrapped in bandages with small traces of blood staining the cloth. But he also noticed the intricately designed trinket on her wrist, one that looked hand-made. Putting that aside, the two sprinted toward the others around the wagon.
A few took notice of their approach, most of their eyes went to him though as the young woman lead him to her mother. They were all dressed relatively similar to one another, so it was clearly the style of a nation.
Raylan subtly noticed how a few of the people here looked injured, with bandages wrapped around different kinds of wounds. Likely all small lacerations or bruises, but nothing overly life-threatening. He heard male voices shouting out orders from the other side.
The two rounded the wagon to find three people, two men, and one woman, hunched over a woman laying on the ground. The woman, who he guessed was the young womans mother, was covered in blood across her chest, her now torn dress barely covering her abdomen.
"Mother!" The young woman called and she dropped to her knees beside one of the two men, "I've brought help!" She said, her voice still wavering as she clutched one of her hands, "Just stay with us!"
The others there all briefly turned to him, looks of worry and concern etched across their faces. Their clothes were bloodstained from having tried to stop the bleeding on the woman by whatever means they had.
"Please," One of the men said, "Please, save my wife." His voice strained as he spoke. The woman in question, breathing heavily, looked up at him with a pained but hopeful expression.
"Of course," Raylan nodded, as he dropped to his knees beside the wounded mother, moving to the side the wound was located. "I'll do everything I can."
Raylan briefly examined the wound and found it was a long cut going across her stomach and up her side halfway up her ribs. A very severe wound, one most people wouldn't survive without medical attention.
Or in this case, healing.
Raylan channeled his void energy into his practiced healing technique, he held his hands close to the womans wound. The energy moved from his hands to the wound before entering the injury itself, causing the woman to grimace and tense slightly at the invading feeling.
The daughter and husband held her hand tighter in response, trying desperately to comfort the pained woman, "It's okay, you'll be alright Eya, just push through it." The husband whispered her words of comfort.
Good to know the mothers name now.
Raylan focused on the healing, he could feel his magic moving beneath the surface, healing the wounds under the skin as it quickly worked its way outward. It took only a few moments before the external wound began closing up slowly.
He heard several gasps around him, one he could tell came from the young woman, the daughter, but he ignored them as the healing process continued.
Those around him watched in awe as the wound closed in full leaving behind only the blood she'd lost from the injury.
"Mom!" The daughter cried, hugging her freshly healed mother. The woman, Eya, was panting as she attempted to sit up, with her daughter and husband aiding in getting her to a sitting position. The family embraced one another in a teary reunion, with each of them knowing they just narrowly avoid a tragedy.
Raylan couldn't help but feel a warmth pass through his heart seeing the family embrace as they did. The others around them were the same as many of the had stopped what they were doing to witness what he'd done, they were all relieved smiles with one or two of the other women getting teary-eyed at the display.
Without missing a beat, Raylan turned to the other man, an older gentleman, who had been aiding the woman before he got here, "Hey," He called, getting his attention, "I'm no doctor but it would be wise to lay her down in the wagon, she still lost a lot of blood and could faint if she overexerts herself."
If anyone else has any injuries at all bring them to me, I can heal them."
The man, stunned for a second, quickly nodded as he turned and stood up. "Of course, we won't let her do a thing except rest. But if you don't mind we have a few cuts and bruises between a few of us, could you look at those injuries as well?"
"Sure, just bring anyone who's hurt to me and I'll look after em." Raylan replied with a firm nod.
The older man smiled, "Thank you, sir." Genuinely grateful for the young, disguised gods' help.
"No problem," Raylan smiled as he moved to stand up. But as he did he felt a hand latch onto his sleeve and tug slightly. The young god turned his head to see the daughter holding onto him, tears running down her face as she looked right at him.
"Thank you," She said in a wavey voice, with a shaky smile across her face. "Thank you so much for saving my mother."
Raylan smiled softly, "You're welcome." The warmth in his body surged once again.
The young lady released him to turn back to her mother and father as they continued to fuss over their mother. The young god smiled at the scene once more before standing up and moving on to heal a few others with their smaller injuries.
His heart swelled with joy at being able to help these people.
Hopefully, this would be the first of many he'd help in the future.
/_\
Everyone else that required healing had only minor injuries, like small cuts to the skin or a bruise here or there. Nothing life-threatening. It had only been the mother, Eya, who'd been severely wounded which was amazing considering they'd been attacked by an abyssal dragon monster.
The thought that everyone here would have likely perished if he hadn't arrived did pass through his head but that was brushed off to the side, he'd saved them from such a fate so it was of little relevance now.
Regardless, he breezed through healing everyone. As he healed each one of them they'd in turn go about helping the others who hadn't been hurt pick up whatever supplies they could from the other destroyed wagons and load it into the last one. Eya had been lifted into the wagon earlier for rest, her family stayed with her during that time.
Oddly enough, however, the last person who came to him for healing was the daugther herself. Raylan recalled the bandaged hand she had earlier when she'd dragged him to her mother. She likely waited till the end to stay by her mothers side as long as she could.
The young woman, who was still covered in dirt and dried blood with tear stains on her face, knelt before him and held out her hand allowing Raylan to unwrap the wound. She faced the floor, not making eye contact with him as if embarrassed by the situation.
It was kinda cute to see her acting so shy all of a sudden.
"Thank you again, for everything." The young lady said softly as Raylan began healing the cut across her soft, dainty hand.
"Ha," He smiled, "You're welcome, I'm just glad I could help." The wound on the young lady had vanished as his void energy faded. Luckily leaving no visible scarring behind.
The young woman pulled her hand back slowly to examine it, smiling softly as she saw the wound had been healed. The only trace the wound had ever been there was the dried blood it had left behind.
Raylan laughed, "Pretty cool isn't it?"
"It is. You were incredible." She responded shyly, still not meeting his eyes, as she cupped the hand that had been wounded. Suddenly she asked, "Can I know the name of our hero?"
"Raylan," he answered, "My name is Raylan, I'd prefer being called that instead of sir."
"Raylan." She said quietly, testing the name. "It's a good name, a strong name." She paused, "It suits you." She muttered.
He smiled, "And you?" The young god asked, "What's your name miss?"
"...Bell." The young lady, Bell, answered. She finally turned to him, looking him in the eye with a small shy smile.
However, Raylan stilled. His body tensed when their eyes met, time itself felt like it slowed as he made a sudden realization he'd never anticipated. All because of a pair of beautiful eyes.
"How had I not noticed?" Raylan thought, "How is that possible?" His mind questioned.
The young lady, Bell, stared at him with the most beautiful of eyes. But, whatever the whole thing startling was the shape of the pupil and iris.
The familiar Star eyes.
The eyes of Khaenri'ah, of its people.
The young lady in front of him was from Khaenri'ah, or a descendent of one.
Raylan's mind begining to connect the dots. The star eyes and people, civilians, being underground carting supplies in wagon conveys. He didn't know where they had come from or where they were going but he began questioning exactly where he was in the Genshin timeline.
"Where and when the fuck did I land in Teyvat?"
"...Raylan?" He heard Bell say his name, pulling his attention back to her. She looked at him with mild concern, her shyness back now after he failed to respond to her name.
Raylan shook his head, "Sorry, sorry." He waved her worry off, "I was distracted there for a moment, lost in thought." He forced a friendly smile her way, "Bell is a lovely name, unique. Never met someone named Bell before."
Bell, having seemingly missed the forced nature of his smile, shyly smiled as she looked to the side. "Thank you."
"Can I ask what you're doing here?" Raylan asked. Seeing as he had struck up conversation with the young lady, Bell, now would be a good opportunity to find some really important answers regarding his situation.
Bell shifted slightly before answering, "We're heading back home to meet up with family, things have been getting dangerous as of late with so many abyss monsters roaming about. We're planning to meet up and leave in search of a safer home." Bell seemed to pause before asking, "Would you come with us? Help us make it back to the city?"
"City?" Raylan hesitated for a moment, his mind screaming the answer to the question before he asked, "Which nation does this city reside exactly?"
"Khaenri'ah." Bell replied, fists clenching slightly as she gazed at Raylan with a sparkle of hope in her eyes, "My mother wants to meet up with my grandparents and her sister and take them with us when we leave, its gotten so dangerous to live so close to countless abyss monsters underground."
"So it's true." Raylan thought, mentally sighing in exasperation and mild frustration as he confirmed his own assumption, "I'm not at the start of the game, I'm pre-cataclysm. I'm here before the fall of Khaenri'ah five hundred years before the start of the game."
It was a sobering thought that he might have to live for five hundred years before reaching the familiar landscape of the game. That was one hell of a wait time, even by Genshins standards.
"Of course I'll help," Raylan replied to Bell, not missing a beat like he'd done last time. "I'll make sure everyone here gets to Khaenri'ah safely." He smiled at her as genuinely as possible despite the thoughts in his head. "But be quick about it, things will only get more and more dangerous as the days pass." He subtly warned her, hoping she'd take his words to heart and leave Khaenri'ah as quickly as possible.
"We will, we're only going to be there for two days at most." Bell, bless her soul, beamed at him. "Thank you Raylan, everyone will rest easy knowing you'll be here to protect us."
Hearing her say that was like a knife to the gut, with a nasty twist added for good measure.
"Anything to help." He grounded out as easily as he could, with Bell missing his inner turmoil.
It hurt, it hurt to think that someone like Bell could be caught up in the destruction of Khaenri'ah. That she, along with so many innocents like her, would perish with the nation.
Or worse, be turned into a Hilichurl and cursed to live in constant suffering.
The young god felt his heart clench at the thought. A burning flame erupted within his heart, a will to change fate itself pulsed within him.
He was going to have to save Khaenri'ah somehow, or at least save its people from complete destruction at the hands of The Seven and The Sustainer of Heavenly Principles. Protect them from death, from the curse that would turn countless innocent people into Hilichurls and Abyss Monsters.
If he failed then he was going to witness a nation and its people die right before his eyes.
It truly was going to be a trial by burning hellfire.
"A little warning would have been nice Istaroth."
C3: End.
Surprise!
Anyone expect this twist I wonder? I hope it was a surprising and entertaining one for everyone because I had fun composing and writing it, even if I had little to go off. Not to mention the lore research I had to do to make it somewhat plausible. (I watched a number of videos, lol) This was planned from the conception stage of the story before I posted chapter 1 as I wanted to do something I've seen few other fics do. Hope it was a good one for you all to read, more to come as well.
This should be a relatively short Khaenri'ah arc, just a few chapters hopefully, possibly with a small spacer afterward, before finally landing in Teyvat in full where all the characters live and roam.
Be warned that I do keep up to date with Genshin itself so any updates to the game I will add/use in this story if needs be. This story will continuously contain spoilers throughout.
Also, I almost feel like removing the question of "Where the MC goes first" and just picking Sumeru. Let's get the MC in there to save Nahida and kick the shit out of the Grand Sage for making the chibi archon cry. FUCK THE SAGES. Am I right? Go full Kratos on the Sages.
We must protect our Radish Queen! Protect the Radish!
I'll also be editing this chapter, fixing things I spot as I see them with multiple re-reads.
Review Response(s):
Chirriro: Before Canon seems to be the census so far, so that might just happen. After this tiny pre-game story arc.
HeavenlyDragonGod: Before the game seems to be winning, as well as Aether as the Traveler. We'll see where people want to go after this chapter perhaps.
vladbucur1997: People seem torn between Mondstadt, Inazuma, and Sumeru. Funny how nobody is going for Liyue. As for your suggestions, they both have a lot of merit. A LOT. So just bare with the story for now and see what happens then. Bet you weren't expecting this chapter to go as it did though, right?
8GoKey40th: Raylan would blatantly tell the Traveler about their Sibling wouldn't he? It seems people are split on location a bit but people want Aether. I can see why people want Lumine as the Traveler and the Abyss Sibling for story reasons, it could be argued either way, but Aether seems likely to win the Sibling race. Before Canon seems to be universally agreed upon though.
MountainBookSage: I didn't even think of Byleth during that chapter but you're absolutely right. It's like a Byleth situation. That was completely an accident, which is strange since I've played Three Houses. The Clairvoyance isn't quite a Gnosis, it's actually an important part of the story as it will give Raylan a fighting chance in this "Arc" as you can no doubt tell he needs and help out with a future situation I have planned for the MCs power to grow and evolve. Raylan will obviously kick ass but he'll be facing struggles that raw power alone can't always solve, like some of the personal traumas of Genshin characters. The Superman Dilemma as you will. You'll see what I mean in the future. But expect plenty of God Battles as well because why not? There are plenty of gods to fight from the lore that are irrelevant to the game story.
InvictusValeyard: To the point, got it.
Daydreamer000: Another for Aether and before game canon, Liyue is a first though. Any reason why?
ShadowWolfKing: Thanks for the compliment, hope I can keep up the quality.
And that's the reviews done with.
Anyway, that's that.
Hope you all enjoyed the chapter!
Till the next one!
AlcatrazDGold - Cheers!
