Description: He's a tall dude, about 6'2, and pretty lean. He has jet black hair that is permanently messy no matter how much he tries to fix it. Lightly tanned skin, and sky blue eyes complete the image.
Personality: Despite his looks, the man is dense as hell. He can socialize, make friends, and make alliances, buy he can not for the life of him realize whenever anyone flirts with him. He treats his pokemon like family, because in his mind, they are.

Backstory: Growing up with two dad who were completely hopeless when it came to love, Jax never really got a chance learn what it was like to know if someone liked him. He was just taught the usual, "be respectful" speech most parents give, so he ran with it. He learned everything about pokemon battling from one of his dads, while the other taught him about beauty contests.

Brought two outfits; one consists of jeans, dark-green T-shirt, and a grey jacket. the other is cargo-shorts, blue shirt with wave patterning, green sleeveless vest. both outfits use the same brown leather belt and boots. also wears a necklace with a Sharpedo tooth on it.
Personality: Loves competition. Believes that the best way to train is when pokemon and humans train together. Observant. Tends to voice his thoughts, even when there's nobody around to hear. Frequently makes bets. Hums and whistles a lot. Casual style of speaking. possibly spends too much time thinking of quips and one liners...
Age: 24
Backstory: born in the middle of winter, or at least what passed for it in his childhood home in Alola. Zeke Enator spent much of his childhood playing beneath the sun, watching the moon and stars, running through forests and beaches, and pestering passing trainers with questions about their journeys. eventually, the Enator family moved to Johto, where his parents and sister still live, running a bike shop. Zeke never became a professional battler, or took on a league, but he has raised pokemon. A mudbray and a kanto-sandslash(Named Burt and Clauws respectively, but they probably won't show up so it probably doesn't matter), both of whom he raised from eggs, help him with his work.
These days, Zeke lives in Fortree City, located in Hoenn, and works as a carpenter whilst studying medicine. The pokemon that he had prior to the raffle have been transferred to his family. Up till now, his life has been unremarkable, but it's a life he enjoys.

Description: Alicia has a petite and slender body with blue eyes and fair skin and black hair. Adorning her left leg is a blue heart-shaped tattoo. Her hair is styled in a bob cut, with one of her bangs dyed blue. Additionally, two large blue ribbons tie the sides of her hair to the back. She wears two golden triangle-shaped earrings on either side of her ears. She is quite short standing at about 4'10.
Outfit: She sports a skin-tight white cropped halterneck shirt layered on top of a black sleeveless shirt. A blue mini-necktie with a small gold tie pin completes the ensemble. She drapes a loosely worn blue jacket over this outfit. Below, she wears a white pleated skirt held together by a belt, which features a heavy botanical motif. On her left arm, she carries a square black luxury satchel with gold accents. Lastly, a pale blue coat is loosely worn on her back. She also has a pair of expensive sunglasses on her head. On her feet she wears a pair of white expensive boots. All her clothes are extremely expensive.
Personality: Alicia is by far the least likable of all the contestants, bar none. She's arrogant, condescending, demanding, empathetically deficient, petty, and rarely, if ever, admits fault for anything she's done. She loves being praised and lavished with attention. She takes great pride in herself as an elite trainer and battler and enjoys gloating when she wins and mocking her rivals when they lose. Despite this though, Alicia does care for her Pokemon and makes sure they are well taken care of. After a long while Alicia starts becoming more and more of a nicer person.
Backstory: Alicia is the Heiress to a multi-billion dollar company in Kalos that produces a massive variety of Pokémon products ranging from poke balls to battle items. This company is known as Hyperion Industries and is one of the largest companies in the world. Because of this Alicia was spoiled very much by her father Arthur Prescott and got everything she wanted growing up. She has things ranging from her own private jet to a private yacht and she loves to show off her wealth to others to show how great she is. Alicia also won many battle competitions and despite being spoiled rotten is actually a very skilled trainer. She eventually won the chance to compete against other trainers in the Island Challenge.

He is frequently considered a handsome boy by girls and some men.
Personality:Katsuya is a strategic trainer, he fights cunningly and doesn't mind seriously hurting his opponent in battles he only cares about winning.
Katsuya tries to hide a perfect disinterest in others. He is bad in relationships since he finds it difficult to be interested in others and often gets bored in conversations, he seems frivolous to others.
Katsuya is picky about catches and considers various species of pokemon as trash calling them poke-trash.
Katsuya is easily bored and has attention deficit disorder.
Katsuya is calm and relaxed all the time even when he insults other people or in critical situations.
Katsuya is smart and a secret prankster as he likes to say things that make others angry.
Katsuya can be nice but he always thinks of himself first. He often takes time to sabotage the sees relationships as people using each other and doesn't know what it's like to have a friend.

Backstory:He was abandoned by his parents in a horrible orphanage at the age of 7 when he was diagnosed for his ADHD. Nobody has ever given him anything and he had to earn everything with a lot of effort, in that many times he had to compete with others for opportunities where the loser gave him the belief that to be well he has to keep winning, resulting in his attitude of present.
He used to frequent Sliggoo Coffee with was a regular customer and classmate of Haruka Shinomiya.
He got the nickname of Lord Katsuya in the past by winning a chess tournament.

Pokemon Personality: He lacks common sense, and thinks like Deadpool he prefers to act with violence and blow things up. He also has a strange addiction to Mexican food, especially chimichangas. For reasons no one understands he hates Noiverman (I put it as a joke, please don't stop with noivernman jokes). Flygon will kill anyone who prefers the anakin skywalker trilogy over the original trilogy in star wars. He is a pokemon otaku and frequently watches anime on his trainer's computer.
Zack caught it because he used it in the pokemon rubi adventure, and he likes the way it looks.
Name: Diego Sol
Description: He wears a navy-blue T-Shirt, coupled with light blue shorts with a lighting bolt deco riding the sides. He has brownish-black crew cut, and sitting at 6". Mostly toned though he has a little stomach. He also has brown eyes, slightly brown skin, and is clean shaved. Also sometimes might wear a dark blue zip up vest with some lighting decals, and a hat that looks like Ash's Sinnoh Hat, but with elements from the I CHOOSE YOU hat.
Personality: A fun loving son of a gun. Who is willing to put everyone else in front of himself. He has an outgoing personality able to make friends with mostly everyone. Also, a bit fidgety too. Really cares about his Pokémon and tends to train them in rather unorthodox manners. Though his sense of humor consists of dad jokes.
Age: 18
Backstory: A teenager with little to no memory of the past. One of the few things he does remember is that of the art of Pokémon battles. He is hoping that this contest might be able to restore his memories about what might have happened. (Essentially he has no idea who he is, or where he is from, but he has the natural instinct to be a Pokémon Trainer. Also does not remember his name, and he has a powerful sword from another land on him.)

Description: Claire is 5'7" tall and has light brown hair with a fishtail braid over her left shoulder. She wears a red and white hoodie and black undershirt underneath. She also wears black tights. Claire has green eyes and beige skin.
Personality: Claire is mostly nice, friendly, and willing to help others. Additionally, Claire is intelligent and assertive and relatively willing to speak her mind. She also enjoys geeky hobbies, such as video games and anime when she doesn't train and bond with her Pokemon. In games (like the show), however, she is highly competitive and is willing to do whatever it takes to win, although within reason. Claire deeply enjoys Pokemon battling and utilizes a mixture of strategic and predominantly offensive gameplay. Outside of competitions, Claire treats her team like a second family, believing that helping each other will improve themselves too.

Backstory: Claire was born to Ace Trainer parents, and they taught her to always maintain a competitive drive. Wanting to surpass her parents' legacies, Claire studied hard in her Pokemon academy, learned tips from her own parents, and even trained in mock Pokemon battles with them. Now, Claire signed up to the show in the hopes of becoming famous and starting a career as a professional Trainer.

Name: Kendra Sorel
Gender: Female
Description: Mostly Kantoan genes, 5'6, gymnast's build, pale skin like she hasn't seen much sun, starting to develop freckles, black hair (often high ponytail but the styling commonly changes), dark eyes. She wears periwinkle shoes, white shorts and a black pokeball belt, a pink t shirt, and a baby blue trainer's coat. Kendra moves gracefully, but stands like she's trying to take up as little space as possible. She is very animated with her hands as she talks, probably as a nervous tick.
Personality: Meek, clever, awkward, friendly, anxious, quick-thinking, and a little bit self-deprecating, Kendra is a goofball and a nervous wreck. She is nearly incapable of standing up for herself, and can't speak up and correct someone to save her life, leading to misunderstandings that spiral way out of her control. She's smarter than she realizes and has the potential to be an excellent trainer, but she'll have to gain some self-confidence first - maybe a journey can help with that.
Since she has no battling experience whatsoever, Kendra knows she can't win straightforward battles. Instead, she uses unorthodox tricks and traps to fight, and sometimes even outright underhanded tactics. Her opponents find her impossible to read or predict, which is actually just because she's flying by the seat of her pants and making it up as she goes along.
Note - Kendra is a bad luck magnet, and always finds herself wrapped up in scenarios that could easily be avoided if it weren't for the constant misunderstandings that follow her around. She's starting to wonder if she pulled a ninetales' tail as a baby and doesn't remember it because of how many ridiculous things happen to her when all she wants is a relaxing, quiet life.
Age: 18
Backstory: Kendra should not be here. She never even wanted to jo on a journey, but after her older brother Damien became a region-renowned trainer, everyone around her assumed that she would follow in his footsteps, and she couldn't tell them no. She got on the internet and signed up for the Alola region's trials, hoping for a simple vacation trip with boundaries, guidelines, and adult supervision through a sunny paradise. She would find some cute pokemon, get a stamp or two, and be home by the end of the season, journey completed.
It wasn't until the raffle winners were announced that she realized her mistake - instead of the Island Challenge, she had accidentally signed up for the Island OF Challenge, in a completely different island region. Even worse, it would be televised! Her friends and family were thrilled for her, and despite her attempts at explaining, she found herself standing in front of Pokestar Studios with her head spinning and her stomach in a knot.
This whole thing is a colossal mistake, and it keeps spiraling bigger and bigger - there's no way for her to come clean about it now without making herself look like an absolute joke to her brother, her friends, and the whole world. For now, she just has to keep up the act of being a halfway competent trainer until she can slip away from the film cameras and find a way back home. If she's lucky, she might even grow a backbone in the process.
Team: Serperior, Krookodile, Eelektross, Carracosta, Unfezant, Volcarona. All of Kendra's pokemon are dragon-like in some way or another (reptilian/mystical/etc), but all of them are fake dragons, much like how Kendra is faking being stronger than she is. They are all named after "breeds" of dragons, and the name Kendra is a pun off the word dragon (ken-dra, dra-ken). By a series of bad luck in what pokemon she ended up with, all of her pokemon are creepy/gross/ugly in some way despite her love of cute things, and all of them love to fight, despite how hesitant she herself is in battle. However, Kendra's team is ultimately a good influence on her for helping build her confidence, and she does love them dearly.

Personality: Completely contrasting with Kendra. Determined, competitive, prideful, and always looking for her next battle. Very much like a shounen anime protagonist, much to Kendra's dismay.

Nickname: Knucker (a flightless dragon that burrows into the ground)

Personality: Outgoing, physically affectionate, always hungry. Explores the world with his mouth and teeth, much like a puppy.

He is bad at planning strategies but he adapts to most battle circumstances on the fly (or by accident). He considers his Pokemons as close friends and will help them before thinking of himself. To friends, he appears as an eccentric kid who sometimes surprises them with his building skills.

Despite her appearance, she is fairly strong, being able to lift her body weight, but predictably she has very low stamina. She wears long jeans and sandals, as well as a green crop top with a white floral pattern.
Personality: Cherry comes off as a studious and calm individual who, despite her outwardly nervous expressions, is always ready to share her passion for battle knowledge. She also possesses a very empathetic heart, and will often go out of her way to help those in need.

Backstory: Cherry had always wanted to be a trainer, but she was never able to at a young age. After an incident that caused her mom to die from a wild Pokémon attack, her father was scared to lose Cherry as well, so he wanted her to remain in school. After much arguing and haggling, Cherry had convinced her father to become a trainer, only when she was older, and had all the proper knowledge to be one. From then on, Cherry went on to study every inch of knowledge about being a trainer, including information about all existing Pokemon, several battle strategies, Pokemon care, etc.
After graduating with flying colors, and taking a year off to help support her dad, she entered herself into the Island of Challenge raffle. She figured that, while she had all of the fundamental knowledge of being a trainer and raising Pokemon, she still lacked the practical knowledge and physical experience of doing so and thought this show would give her just that, as well as make new friends while she's at it.
