Chapters 16

Dais had carried Narita to the Shrine of Demons as she had gotten tried and they couldn't risk her using chakra as it would weaken Kurama even more and she didn't want to weaken him anymore. Just being awake was already risky.

"Just sleep while we make our way there." Said Dais. As Narita just nodded her head and fell asleep quickly. The three Genin acted as guards making sure no one attacked as they made their way to the Shrine.

They walked along an old path in the deepest and darkest part of the forest that was said where the ancient demons still slept. Awaiting a time for them to return and lay claim once more on the mortal realm. Wild animals could be heard stalking them from the shadows as the three Genin had kunai at the ready for any surprise attack that might await them.

After walking for about an hour they had made it to a clearing where an old black shrine sat. It looked to be untouched since the day it was built. On the wall was several clan symbols on the largest of all the clan symbols on the wall was the Uzumaki Clan's as it was fallowed by the Namikaze, Senju, Nara, Muyo, and several others that had long died out.

"Narita sweetie we are here." Said Dais as he gently woke her up.

"Huh?" Said a tried Narita as she slowly open her eyes to see the shrine before them. A soft smile graced her lips. "Soon Kurama you will be whole once more." She said just loud enough for Dais to hear.

Slowly she got off his back and walked up to the shrine door and looked at all the seals the went around the place. "Wow this place is amazing." She said as she walked inside as the seals around the entryway began to glow a soft crimson color. The others watched on as they couldn't enter. Well more Dais wouldn't allow them for she was going to be meeting with death and it would place their souls in danger.

"We'll wait here for her. Once the entryway glows a soft violet color we may enter. Until then we are to stay out here.

"Go to the center of the Shrine and there you will know what to do." Said Ella from within Narita as the girl nodded her head. Her parents just watched. For they had been shocked they hadn't vanished yet. Something odd was happening and they didn't want to worry her about it now. There was already too much for her to worry about.

Walking into the center of the Shrine she looked around and saw all the mask staring back at her. Slowly she closed her eyes and bit her thumb and ran blood across her hand as she began running though hand signs she had never used before in her life. Signs she never knew would work together.

The room grew cold as it darken, and a dark and evil aura filled it.

"WHO DISTURBS ME!?" Came a dark and silky voice. As black flames filled the room and danced around Narita.

"I do. Narita Elle Uzumaki Namikaze. The last Princess of Uzu and Princess of the Land of Demons and Konoha." Said Narita as her seven tails danced right behind her she stood tall. Never backing down as she faced the Shinigami before her.

"Ah the child of light wishes to speak to I the Shinigami?" Asked the Shinigami with a smirk in its voice.

Narita looked at the Shinigami a little puzzled and pushed it aside for now wasn't the time nor was it the place for anything else. She need the Shinigami to save Kurama from deaths door. "I am here today to ask for the other half of Kurama's soul that was seal within your belly when you made your deal with my father 15 years ago." She told the Shinigami.

Amusement danced in the Shinigami's eyes behind its mask. It had been a long time since anyone had summoned it and asked for something. The last to summon it was one Minto Uzumaki. Only to seek guidance from her grandfather on what to do about the Biju before she passed away. "WHAT WOULD I GET IN RETURN FOR ALLOWING YOU TO HAVE THE OTHER HALF OF KURAMA'S SOUL?" It asked the girl with amusement lacing its voice.

Narita sat down on the cold stone floor thinking and looking around the room. Her parents stood holding each other's hands in fear that she would offer her own soul. As Elle just smirked as she had an idea of what the girl might do.

"I offer you a champion in this mortal realm." Said Narita.

Shinigami was silent for several minutes as it thought it over. Never once did anyone offer to be its champion. Only that they would offer up others souls as equal or even trade. Well the Uzumaki Clan had always held favor with the Shinigami for the gifts and all they would bring when speaking to her. But the young girl didn't know of this and all she could do was offer herself to be the warrior for death to handle things that death was unable to do own her own or her reapers.

"DEAL." Said a female voice as she slipped off the mask she had been wearing. "It has been a long time since an Uzumaki as called for me and I was hoping you had gifts. But as you are pretty much the last of your clan. Except for just a handful of you living across the Elemental Nations. You wouldn't know the old ways and your mother was too young to even know about it." She said as Narita just nodded the beautiful woman with long white hair and yellow eyes standing before her.

She held her hand to her own belly as a crimson ball came forth and she moved her hand over to Narita's belly and vanished as she was now in Narita's mindscape with the girl standing next to her as Kurama had shrunk in size for her just being awake to speak to the Shinigami.

"Kurama you will be whole once more. This will also give you more time with your kit. But do not think this will stop you from one day from me coming for you. This will just allow you more time with your kit and to train her to become the Queen of all Biju's and Demons. As is she being ready and still does need you around." Said the Shinigami as she pressed the crimson ball into him, and he grow back to his normal size and his fur was shiny and healthy once more. He slowly open his eyes looking at the white hair woman standing next to his kit.

"She won you over as well?" Asked Kurama already knowing the answer to his question. She nodded her head.

"Yes. She has become my champion and will from time to time carry out missions for me. But I will allow her sometime before calling on her. But be warn if I call sooner then expected then something happen, and I do not have the power to handle it or nor do my reapers." Warn Shinigami to the two as they both just nodded their heads.

With that Shinigami was gone and Narita's nightgown had changed into a short black silk battle kimono with two swords laying next to her on the ground. It was a gift from the Shinigami as there was a black skull gloves and mask laying on top of both swords. She also had black heeled Shinobi boots that covered her toes and black skintight shorts under her kimono.

The entryway began to glow a soft violet color as Dais had grown worried about Narita as it has been three hours since she had gone into the Shrine and she hadn't return. But the Ino looked up and saw the change of color of the seals.

"Look. It's safe to enter." Said Ino as she was excited to see her friend once more.

They all got up and rushed into the shrine to find Narita passed out on the shrine floor. Her chest was slowly raising. So she was still alive and that was a good thing.

"Narita!" Cried Dais as he rushed over to her as he fell to his knees. He slightly shook her awake. "Are you okay?" He asked her as she slowly woke.

"Mm…Not so loud." Narita whispered as she slowly open her eyes as she was being sat up by her uncle.

"What happen?" Asked Hinata as she wanted to know what's going on as they all noticed the change of her clothing.

"I have become the Champion of the Shinigami as it was the price, I am willing to pay to have Kurama with me just a little longer." Said Narita as they just look at her in shock.

"That was the price you paid?" Asked Dais as he was shocked as this was shocking. He had heard once that each God had their own prices. But it was interesting to hear what she was paying.

Shikamaru held up the gloves and mask. "So the Shinigami left these for you?" He asked her as he looked at the items in his hands as there was still the twin swords at his feet.

"Yeah. I was told I will know what to do with it once the time came." Said Narita as she was now slowly standing up and looking at everyone. She bends down and picks up her swords and takes the gloves and mask from Shikamaru as she clips the mask to the obi of her Kimono. "We better get back for none of us left a note for the others." She said as they all nod their heads.

"Kit thank you." Said Kurama as he was slowly waking up and feeling whole and stronger now. He was given more time. For the Shinigami was right. The girl wasn't ready yet to take over for him. Once the time came and she was ready. Then he would move on to the afterlife.

'I would do it all over again for you Kurama.' Said Narita as she smiled as a single tear rolled down her cheek as she and the others took off back to the Palace and to meet up with the others.

Once they had return Ibiki and Kakashi where up in arms.

"WHERE IN THE HELL HAVE YOU FIVE BEEN!?" Growled/Yelled Ibiki as he looked at them.

"I had to talk to the Shinigami." Said Narita as she stood before him with her crystal blue eyes flashed amber with a hint of crimson in them and a blue flame appeared behind her. She wasn't going to back down. Not now for she had to save her family and it was worth it.

Ibiki's eye open a fraction of an inch form shock. No one had never stood up to him. No one never talked back to him. Well no one besides the Hokage. "You should have told someone." He growled out.

She narrowed her eyes at him. "I took a team with me as protection." She growled out to him as she pointed out Shikamaru, Ino, and Hinata all standing next to Dais. "AS well my uncle was with me. So I did not go alone. If any of you took the time to ask the guards at the gate, they would have told you we left to gather at sun rise." She told him as Ibiki gaze turned to Kakashi who was the one that was to talk to the guards at the gates to ask if they had seen anyone leave the Palace.

"So your issue you have now is with Kakashi for not doing his job and asking the guards." Said Narita with a smirk as she walked away from Ibiki as she needed a bath and maybe another nap. For she was still tried from all that has happened to her.

Shinigami

"You have found yourself a Champion?" Asked Kami as she smiled at her baby sister.

"Yes." Said the Shinigami as she turned away.

"Do you believe we could brow her as well?" Asked Yami as she wanted a Champion of her own. But she couldn't find a human she liked the ones she have liked all died a long time ago.

Shinigami looked at her older sisters with narrow eyes. "Why would you want my share my champion? For she made to pack with me and me alone." She stressed to her two older sisters.

"Well all the human's we have all like are all died and the ones that are alive are worthless." Said Kami as she didn't want to waste her time seeking her own champion as there was a few people that could be worthy of her and her sister.

"You two are just lazy and want to just piggyback off of mine." Said the Shinigami as she was now pouting at her older sisters as they both grinned at her.

"Aww come on baby sister. I will be fun to share, and it will only make the girl even more powerful." Said Yami as she grinned at her baby sister.

"Fine but she is Kami's child of light as it is." Said the Shinigami as her two sister's eyes widen. They hadn't looked into the champion was. They just figured it was some random child that held a Biju not the one who held Kurama and was chosen at birth to be the child of light.

Shinigami was now grinning as this was her upper hand on her two sisters.

Narita

Narita had return to her room and changed quickly as she saw she now had all nine-tail dancing behind her back, and it appeared she had finished her changed in becoming the new nine-tails. But with Kurama still with her. She wouldn't take over just yet. But she would have to hide her tails and ears soon once she returned home.

Next time the return to Konoha and the new missions and Chunin exams
