"Alia, darling."

"Y- Yes?"

"You are to marry this man, without question."

"But-"

"What makes you think I want a lesbian to be my only daughter?!-"

"It's not that bad! She's nice to me!-"

"I don't care that she's fucking nice to you! She's a girl! You're a girl! It's sinful!"

"Father! Please!-"

"You'll be much better with Gauthier - He's a lovely young man. He's perfect for you."

"Have you seen that man's father?! He's a monster! God only knows if he could turn into the same thing if we have children!"

"It's discipline, Alia."

"He-"

"It's just discipline."

————————————

From that moment forward, her life had gone to absolute shit.

Marrying a man who used her, what could go wrong? In fact, everything went wrong. There laid Alia, knowing well she was taking her very last breaths. She was barely even just skin and bones, and her eyes were sunken in and dull. Silvija - The woman she'd loved since she laid eyes on her sat near her. Gauthier couldn't be bothered to be with her in her very last moments, instead seemingly rotting away in his study as always.

"Silvija?..." She muttered, barely able to speak. "What, saulespuķe?" Silvija replied, holding Alia's hand. "Lilli is... Over there, right?" She nodded in reply, tears welling up in her eyes. "Do you want to hold her?" Alia's entire body was shaking, barely holding on. "Mhm." Silvija stood up, taking the baby girl from her crib. God, she knew the young girl would look just like her mother - Continuing her legacy.

Silvija handed the baby girl over to Alia. She held Lilli, holding her close to her chest. "I wish I could stay around forever to protect you, blume..." She whispered, a tear rolling down her cheek. Alia's breaths were slowly becoming weaker, and her eyes began to flutter. Silvija held back tears, knowing the truth.

It was Alia's time to go.

Her body had been nothing short of used. Used by Gauthier for having his children, taking care of them, and doing the housework. Her once crystal-like eyes were now dull, her smiling was not a rare occurrence rather than a common one, and the was incredibly pale - Like the winter's snow, almost.

"Silvija?..." She mumbled, her voice shaky and quiet. "Do you need something, Alia?" Silvija asked. Alia nodded, moving her head to look at Silvija. "Can I have... One last kiss? Please?" Silvija chuckled lightly at the question. "Of course you can. I think Gauthier couldn't care less, anyway." Alia couldn't move very well, so Silvija moved in to kiss her instead. The two stayed like that for a bit, before Silvija pulled away.

"Promise me you'll make sure my children are okay?" She questioned. Silvija sighed. "I'll try my best, but you know how Gauthier feels about me. He honestly just hates my guts."

Alia sighed. "I know you'll try though."

"I will."

Alia showed one last smile, holding Silvija's hand, as well as her baby girl.

She looked at Silvija.

Silvija kissed her forehead.

... And her eyes shut for the very last time.
