Chapter 5
WILL THE WHOLE WORLD KNOW YOUR NAME! WHEN WE DANCE WITH DESTINNNNYYYY! I'VE BEEN THERE! AND I'VE SEEN IT! I'M NEVER GONNA STOP BELIEVING! YOU'LL FIND YOUR FLAAAMMMEEE!
...Oh man, why I am continuing to do this lazy bit of singing the Sonic Frontiers so-*BEEP*...Ahem, sorry, I mean welcome everyone to another chapter of Welcome to the MCU! Phase 2! This is your lovely, cringy host, Zayden StormVoid, and Merry Christmas! And to those who would think that I purposefully withheld this final chapter to the Iron Man 3 movie, that takes place around Christmas, oh ho ho ho! Oh, you guys give me too much credit.
But anyways, last time, we had more of Toua Todoroki, being you know who, and no not Voldemort, with his blue glow and fire, his reveal of suicidal thoughts in the past making Izuku, Bakugou, and the Todoroki's uncomfortable, Bakugou and Melissa going through uncertainty and doubts that is broken through by a Bakugou sounding Deku, the entire group disappointed, understandably, in Trevor, the plot with the Vice President figured out, and the House Party Protocol taking off to join the fight.
Now, we can continue on to the final part of Iron Man 3 as my Christmas present to you all, my lovely fans, readers, and even critics. But first, let me sit down and read some letters and reviews from last chapter and see who has been naughty or nice.
Black Cross0: Same. And yeah, evidently the drawback is that the Quirk is so powerful now and Deku's not ready for it that he has to finish this battle with Shigaraki in 5 minutes or game over. Yeah, again, this is an admitted rushed ending of the story which sucks, and this whole thing would have been a thousand times better if we had gotten more arcs involving aspects of Quirk society such as the MHA version of the KKK, that the anime cut out, and a mutant racism arc involving the metamorphic students of 1-A and 1-B, like Shoji and Koda, with the lingering effects of that arc to be felt in the ending, but too little too late.
MadTitan9: Interesting. I know a lot of about the MCU but I'm not a 100% bonified expert that I know Everything about it, but those sound interesting. Yeah, I had to take a step back and laugh my ass off when I wrote that scene, I had pictured in my head sort of similar to one episode of Sonic Boom and I just couldn't stop. Yep, Dark World is essentially like a car wreck that you want to look away from, but you can't, or like a kid forced to go to a 2-hour Christmas and Easter Mass and trying so hard not to fall asleep. I wouldn't exactly say that Dark World was better than Love and Thunder, but I do agree that movie was a pain for me and my brother to watch, especially since he's color blind and with all the bright colors. They also broke their own canon with Korg saying that all Cronians are guys since Korg said he has a Mother with a boyfriend that he hates. This movie should have been darker with someone called Gorr the God Butcher as the antagonist, and yeah Christian Bale was great in his limited role, and Chris Hemsworth himself said that both the movie and most of Phase 4 as a whole was such a mess and terrible that he won't come back for Thor unless Marvel gets its shit together and fixes Thor. Also, just watched Wakanda Forever as its very mid. Good in the ending and beginning for the honor and praise to Chadwick and stuff about love and grief, especially from the grieving Shuri and Namor, el Nino sin Amor, or the Boy without Love. But its midness was a result of pacing issues, forced, standard MCU comedy, and Riri Williams, aka Iron Heart, aka discount diversity Iron Man, who me, my brother, and mother all agree was too quirky and annoying, a plot device that didn't need to exist, and could have been written out of the movie and nothing would have been lost, maybe even gotten better.
Gakuto1991: I am doing Deadpool, but his movie will be in the future 4th story of this work that would center around Phase 4 movies, possibly shows, and movies from different franchises like Star Wars, DC, Pirates, Harry Potter, and the X-Men which would include Deadpool. Though, those ideas sound very enticing and will likely write it down for later when his time comes. Also, I figured with Deadpool as such an anomaly and the fact that he has had adventures with his counterparts throughout the multiverse that he would have had multiple counterparts instead of none. Plus, he also is coming to the MCU with Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, so that's awesome. If I were to make another story, and that's a big if with how slow I am with three stories, it would unfortunately not be a reaction story. If anything, it would be one of my story ideas that nobody wants to adopt, those being a Game of Thrones/Star Wars crossover and a Spider-Man/Mortal Kombat one.
FlameKnight219: I have to say my most favorite chapter was Villain Deku saving Eri, Eri choosing to be saved by Deku, a Villain, then the Hero Mirio, Team Terror's full roster including Lady Nagant and the Nomu Katsuma and Mahoro, just massive shade thrown onto Bakugou and Mirio, especially Mirio for abandoning Eri, and Deku showing that he still has a heart.
Julian M Gomez: Unfortunately, since I hate myself, I won't be accelerating any schedule of mine when it comes to which stories come out. Honestly, sometimes it just flip flops depending on my muse at the time because my brain is erratic. But on a positive side, I could possibly have a lot of this movie's bad content be used to make lots of commentary for the group, mostly on how Malekieth is so lame and boring. And though I have someone to be his counterpart that would make the character actually interesting, I'm also worried that the decision is going to make a lot of people mad that I would waste him on Malekieth, but then again, the comparisons are there, so time to begin digging my hole.
NJMR IV: Yeah, thanks for addressing that, it's actually been a problem of mine that I noticed when relooking and writing on past chapters. It's more prevalent in my older works and I've been told that it's getting progressively better, but I still have some work to do on that regard. It's harder with reaction stories because I will have many instances where some characters are going to have to repeat certain emotions and expressions and there are only so many different ways I can describe shock, horror, or emotion without at some point having them be repetitive. But again, thanks for this constructive criticism and example that is actually very helpful, and I hope that I can truly get better at this, and thanks for the support.
Well, with so many nice comments and reviews, I'm sure ole St. Nick will be leaving you all a very great gift under your trees. But continuing now, with the Index:

And finally, I do Not own My Hero Academia, a property of Horikoshi and adapted by Bones Studios, who admittingly disappointed me with the Deku vs Shigaraki fight that should have been one of the most badass of the series, and I do Not own the MCU and its movies, property of the corrupt overlords of Disney, Marvel, and Sony for some, and all credit of the movies belongs to the imaginative directors, talented and awesome and not-so-awesome actors and actresses, and the hard work of all the studios that worked on these movies.
Now, with that all said, Let's Rock and Roll.
Iron Man 3 Part 4: A Clean Slate
Third POV
A doctor injected an orange fluid, more EXTREMIS, into a tube, the orange fluid traveling up it into Ibara's arm, as the Stark Industries CEO was strapped to the bed. As the screen paneled up Ibara, revealing more of her attire being a simply black pants and tank top, Touya Todoroki, dressed only in a black dress shirt and white pants, walked in staring at Ibara with a sick grin.
Bakugou's glare became more murderous, staring at the smugly grinning Touya looking at His girl and infecting her with EXTREMIS. Never had he wanted to actually make good on his threats and exclaims for someone to die than the psycho on screen.
The flow of EXTREMIS through her veins shocked Ibara awake with a gasp. She looked around to see Touya's grinning face. "Hi." Touya greeted her.
Hawks frowned. 'Honestly, its driving me crazy.' Hawks's brain cells worked double time to find out why this Touya Todoroki looked so familiar to him. Every single neuron in his brain was picturing Dabi's sick grin next to the psychotic version of the eldest Todoroki son, and every time he tried to dismiss it. 'The kid is dead. They found his fucking jawbone on the scene of the fire. It can't be him. It...it just can't.'
Deep down, Hawks just couldn't accept the knowledge that a) the man from the League he has been talking to all this time was the son of his favorite hero, b) that Endeavor's son could have ever turned into that psycho, and c) that, upon looking at Shoto's scarred face, that there was a logical reason that that Touya Todoroki could ever be him, and that was that his idol hero was just as bad a father as his own.
Ibara looked around at her surroundings in fearful panic, seeing lots of lab equipment in what looked like an office in a shipping dock site. Ibara looked to Touya again. "You think he's gonna help you?" Ibara questioned. She shook her head. "He won't."
Touya blinked and sighed disappointed. He walked closer, hand on her bed and leaning towards her. "Having you here is not just to motivate Katsuki Stark." Touya admitted. "It's, um...Well, it's actually more embarrassing than that. You're here as my um..."
"Trophy." Ibara finished for him, looking at the madman in disbelief.
Ibara rubbed her neck where she saw the orange glow of EXTREMIS illuminated from inside her, actual fear and paranoia flood her mind and quicken her heart at the thought of this lunatic's hands on her. She felt a hand over her own and turned to see Setsuna's face. The normally quippy, teasing, mischievous member of their class looked completely serious and worried over her. Ibara smiled, grateful that at the end of all her teasing and her retorts that they cared about each other like the friends they were.
Touya simply chuckled and hummed in affirmation.
If there was anyone among the group that looked more utterly repulsed than Bakugou and Ibara, then it would have to be Vlad King. The man held a looked of pure rage and malice that the staff had never seen before. Mic thought with the way that his veins pulsed, he thought Vlad was going to pop a vein and then turn that blood into a spear to drive into Touya Todoroki's face.
Even Monoma abandoned any and all zealotry and competition against Class 1-A to admit that he would rather be the priest to oversee Bakugou and Ibara's wedding that have this madman be in the same country as his holy classmate.
The sound of thrusters reached their ears and they looked to the open doorway to see the Iron Patriot land on the catwalk just outside. The suit marched in, flanked by two EXTREMIS soldiers. "Good evening, sir." Touya greeted the Iron Patriot and its inhabitant, Ibara looking at this with confusion. The suit opened up to reveal President Ellis stumbling out onto his knees, Ibara gasping at the reveal.
"Oh no, he's got the President." Pony's hand covered her mouth.
Kirishima growled bitterly that his counterpart's own suit was being used by this Villain to deliver the President to him.
"Welcome, aboard, Mr. President." Touya saluted to the shocked President.
Shoto and Endeavor were not having a good day. Seeing their dead brother/son, or rather the approximate image of him, committing these acts of Villainy left a horrible taste in their mouth. But to Endeavor, seeing his eldest son like this felt like some form of punishment for him. To see what Touya could have become were he still alive, just as hateful and resentful as Touya was towards Stark but this time to him, the father that abandoned him, all but replaced him with his own brother, and could do nothing to save him, even from himself.
In truth, Endeavor felt the only way this could all be worse was if Touya was alive, as he always hoped, but he was every bit a Villain as his counterpart is.
The screen panned out past the President to see more of the docks they were stationed, EXTREMIS soldiers standing on guard all over the platforms and catwalks of the dock site, Christmas lights decorated in a makeshift tree over the mast an oil tanker, docked beside the shore.
"So, they are at the docks, still presumably in Miami." Death Arms said. "And EXTREMIS soldiers are everywhere, most likely to guard the place from Stark and Kirishima."
"And with their strength and endurance, the EXTREMIS soldiers could take full advantage of the catwalks and hanging shipping crates to jump all over." Kamui analyzed. "Even able to survive any kind of fall with their regeneration."
"Ever hear of an elephant graveyard?" Touya asked his captive, the two walking up the steps to a higher platform.
"Elephant graveyard?" Kinoko blinked at the horrible name.
"It's a place where, according to legends, elephants migrate instinctively when they reach a certain age so they can die alone." Koda informed. "Evidence from actual elephant graveyards point more that they were k-killed by hunters and their missing tusks were stolen for p-profit."
Sato patted Koda on the shoulder, knowing, if the angry stutter wasn't enough of a clue, that the animal whisperer felt strongly about the exploitation and hunting of the endangered species.
"Well, two years ago, the elephant in the room was this scow." Touya pointed out the window to the docked ship.
Ellis blinked his in realization. "This is the Roxxon Norco." Ellis answered.
"And, of course, you'll remember that when she spilled a million gallons of crude off Pensacola, thanks to you, not one fat cat saw a day in court." Touya continued.
"Why would he do that?" Hagakure questioned, unnoticeably frowning at the revelation of the President's actions.
"He likely had political ties with this Roxxon company that had him intervene with his authority to keep his 'friends' safe." David Shield frowned. "This wouldn't be the first time that a high-ranking political figure was backed by morally lacking individuals with money in exchange for legal leniency."
"What do you want from me?" Ellis demanded.
"Uh, nothing, sir." Touya admitted, Ellis blinked, confused. "I just needed a reason to kill you that would play well on TV."
"So, that must be why the man that 'Trevor'," Momo still rolled her eyes at the true identity and truth behind the Mandarin. "Shot the Roxxon employee, or rather faked his death. They want to continue with the Mandarin's act of being some terrorist with a reasonable agenda to explain his 'attacks'."
"Honestly, it feels like Todoroki just made this shit up as he went along." Mina scratched her head.
"You see, I've moved on." Touya continued. "I found myself a new political patron, and this time tomorrow he'll have your job."
"And just like Ellis and Roxxon, the Vice President will back Todoroki's research and deployment of EXTREMIS, mainly to the US military as per Todoroki's promise to Savin." Melissa deduced, glaring at the continued perversion and weaponization of a once promising and good-natured scientific endeavor.
Touya walked past him and looked to the EXTREMIS soldier standing back. "String him up." Todoroki ordered.
The EXTREMIS soldier grabbed the President to his denying "Hey!"
The scene changed to Kirishima and Katsuki sneaking around the docks as men shouted orders in the distance, climbing up a ladder and hiding from men passing by. As the men passed, Kirishima rushed sneakily towards a large machine, hiding behind it. "Come on!" He gave the coast is clear to Stark as he rushed to meet him, the two armed with handguns.
"You're not gonna freak out on me, right?" Kirishima asked.
"I hope not." Stark replied honestly.
"Yeah, that anxiety attack would be very bad in the middle of sneaking around an army of EXTREMIS soldiers." Kaminari pointed out. "Or in the middle of a fight."
The two continued sneaking past Todoroki's men along the machines and crates, before crouching behind some oil drums and a blue shipping crate, peeking out to see the number of men operating heavy machinery and standing guard.
Kirishima looked up to see stage lights come up to shine on a specific target: President Ellis. Donned once again in the Iron Patriot suit, the President was strung up by his arms, dangling in the air.
"Oh, my God." Kirishima cursed.
"Wait, why doesn't he use the suit to free himself?" Uraraka asked, confused.
"It could be that they hacked the system of the suit for them to control it." Iida proposed an answer.
"That or the President doesn't know how to work the suit." Kyoka pointed out. "To someone that hasn't used it, it might as well be trying to fly a jet on the first try."
"Wait, didn't they say in Iron Man 2 that only Stark, Ibara, and Kirishima are coded for the suits to work?" Ojiro asked.
"Oh, yeah!" Izuku flipped through the notes he took on Iron Man 2 at lightning speeds and quickly found it. "Black Widow revealed it when Kacchan was talking with her and Director Aizawa."
Kirishima stepped back to his hiding spot with Katsuki. "He's strung up over the oil tanker." Kirishima whispered. "They're gonna light him up, man."
"Viking funeral." Stark informed. "Public execution."
"Yeah, death by oil." Kirishima nodded, grimly.
"Well, not that I want this to happen, but should we really save a guy who let that oil leak shit happen Scott-free?" Kamakiri questioned.
"It matters not what he did, he is still a civilian in danger, the President of the United States, too." All Might spoke up, his eyes blazing with seriousness. "In the end, we are Heroes, and our job is to save people, no matter who they may be."
The two sighed and breathed in deeply as they rushed out, quickly sneaking towards a flight of stairs to run up them. "Broadcast will commence shortly. Take final positions." An announcer said over the PA.
Touya looked over the footage of the President as he hung from his position. "Okay. That's good." He said to the woman manning the footage. "Now, give me cameras A through E and we'll do a full tech rehearsal."
"He sounds like a director of a movie." Tetsutetsu sweatdropped.
"Given his plan, he is." Tokoyami simply replied.
"Is your gun up?" Kirishima asked, his gun trained as the two snuck their way up the stairs, Katsuki behind him, with his gun pointing down.
"Yep." Katsuki lied, quickly pointing his arm and gun up and in front of him, aiming off in a direction. "What do I do?"
"Stay on my six, cover high and don't shoot me in the back." Kirishima replied.
"Six, high, back. Alright." Katsuki muttered.
"I'm surprised that you aren't yelling at him for telling him what to do." Sero raised an eyebrow at the silent Bakugou. "Or for him taking the lead."
"Shut it, idiot." Bakugou snapped at him. "Shitty Hair is a soldier that's done this shit, competently, a thousand times. Of course, my counterpart would listen to him."
Kirishima smiled at his best friend, touched, even if he called 'Shitty Hair'.
As they were about to turn a corner, a spotlight shone on them, following quickly by gunfire.
"They've been spotted!" Pony cried out.
"Well, that was fast." Mount Lady shrugged.
"The man who spotted them was on a higher floor, giving him an easier advantage to spot intruders." Midnight pointed out. "I would have thought that someone with the power to give her a higher vantage point all the time would have found this obvious."
Mount Lady responded to that diss with a middle finger.
The bullets landed and ricochet off the corner, the two Heroes ducking from the fire. Katsuki aimed and fired back, one of his shots managing to hit the spotlight, before following Kirishima.
Katsuki fired once more before ducking under cover with Kirishima. "You see that? Nailed it." Katsuki bragged.
"Yeah, you really killed the glass." Kirishima agreed, dryly.
"You think I was aiming for the bulb?" Katsuki asked. "You can't hit a bulb at this distance."
Kirishima replied by standing up out of cover and shooting the bulb of the spotlight, shutting the light off. He ducked back down, his face wordlessly asking, 'You were saying'.
Snickers and chuckles were the result of this scene along with Kirishima failing to hold in his own laughter, for the sake of the fuming red, embarrassed Pomeranian that was glaring daggers at everyone laughing at him.
"All personnel, we have hostiles on east unit 12." The PA announcer informed.
"Over there!" Guards shouted as they ran towards the location, guns drawn and ready.
"I'm out." Katsuki said, checking the magazine of his gun. "You got extra magazines?"
"They're not universal, Katsuki." Ejiro replied.
"I know what I'm doing. I make this stuff." Stark defended himself. "Give me another one. One of yours."
"I don't have one that fits that gun." Kirishima said again.
"For someone who used to make guns, it seems he doesn't know that not all bullets fit every gun." Snipe scoffed.
"You've got like five of them." Stark retorted, before shaking his head. "Here's what I'm gonna do. Save my spot, ready?"
Katsuki stood up from cover and looked out before ducking back barely a second later.
"What'd you see?" Kirishima asked.
"Too fast. Nothing." Stark answered. Kirishima shook his head, exasperated.
A giggle broke out of Ibara, thankful that Katsuki's...'Katsuki' was able to put some much-needed humor for her.
"Here we go." Stark raised his head from cover again to see the enemy. He saw a few soldiers jumping and parkouring off stairs to jump onto a crane holding up a shipping crate from high distances without any effort.
Katsuki ducked down again. "Three guys, one girl, all armed." Stark informed.
The four continued jumping down crates and high positions with barely a grunt, the girl of the group glowing with EXTREMIS. Katsuki and Kirishima peeked out, gun raised, to see the EXTREMIS soldiers taking aim at them, their insides, veins, and eyes glowing orange red.
"Armed and glowing with EXTREMIS." Kosei added.
"And even if they shoot their head or heart, those bullets aren't going to leave enough damage to put them down." Awase said, worried. "They'll just regenerate."
"God, I would kill for some armor right now." Kirishima cursed.
"You're right. We need backup." Katsuki agreed, staring off in the distance.
"Yeah, a bunch." Kirishima nodding, aiming at the EXTREMIS soldiers.
"Yeah, like where is the armor that we saw going up from the cellar?" Shoda asked.
"Wait for it." Jurota raised a finger, patient.
"You know what?" Katsuki asked, smirking.
Kirishima looked at him and turned to where Stark was looking at. The Colonel saw a bright white light, like a star, grower larger and closer, the whooshing air getting closer. The white light then split into two. Kirishima blinked, his grin growing. "Is that-"
Heads started to perk up like a group of meercats. Izuku's eyes widened, same as the corner of his mouth started to perk upwards.
"Yep." Katsuki confirmed, smirking.
Melissa's and Mei's grins grew exponentially. Even David and Power Loader looked to be on the edge of their seats.
More sounds of thrusters coming closer sounded while the score of the music continued to build and grow. "A-Are those-"
"Yeah." Katsuki replied, his grin wide and smug.
While Ibara's face became hopeful and joyous, Bakugou let out a sick, maniac grin. 'Payback time.'
"Ladies and Gentlemen, may I present to you the House Party Protocol." F.R.I.D.A.Y. announced. "Or by its actual name: The Iron Legion."
The two suits flew towards the dock, followed up by more and more and more suits.
"Holy. Shit!" Kaminari exclaimed; his arms thrown up.
The first suit to arrive raised its arms out to slow its flight, the suit red and gold but looking more bulkier than a normal suit, it's chest bulkier with two bulky plates wrapping around its shoulders.
The score exploded out in full force as the rest of the Iron Legion flew in, hovering side by side with each other, each suit of varying color, shape, and size from red, white, black, golden, and more, from thin and streamline too bulky and large. The 35 different suits encircled the docks in a large radius, hovering and waiting upon command.
Mei's, and even Melissa's, excitement exploded to nuclear levels, the two's squeals so high pitched 99% of the group covered their ears in pain, including David and Power Loader, the two being used to the two girls high pitched squeals that could be weaponized, and especially Kyoka, who even with preemptive protection from earmuffs still heard and flinched at the squeals.
"My ears!" Mineta screamed in pain, clutching at his ears.
Despite irked, Bakugou could care less, grinning massively at the sight of the Iron Legion, His Iron Legion. 'Time to light these glowing bastards up.' Bakugou thought triumphantly.
"All those Wonderful, Amazing Babies!" Mei continued squealing, hearts over her hungry eyes, analyzing every single one with her zooming eyes. "They're So Beautiful!"
"F.R.I.D.A.Y., is there a chance to see what suits those are?" Melissa asked, pleading.
F.R.I.D.A.Y.'s feminine voice chuckled, amused. "Sure thing, hon." FRIDAY replied, the device glowing, the glow transferring towards the H.U.L.K. before the device Mei created began to open up its sides to reveal an array of mini cameras. They shone out blue lights and the group were surrounded by dozens of holographic blue screens, each showcasing a different suit of the Iron Legion, classifying them by their number, designating alias, shape, statistics, and specialization.
The group looked around with amazement, Bakugou's grin was even replaced with awe at the genius and inventiveness of himself, or rather other himself.
Mei and Melissa looked to Midoriya but before they could get a word out, Midoriya had two notebooks held out to them on one hand, and another laid out open in his lap. Midoriya smiled at them and nodded. Mei and Melissa squealed loudly again and did the unthinkable. They collided against him with a bone-crushing hug, Eri thankfully sensed this happening and jumped off Deku's lap, in time for the two to smother Midoriya's cheeks with multiple kisses, muttering multiple 'Thank You's' like gatling gun. When they were done, Deku was left red faced, woozy, his cheeks covered in lipstick marks, and a silly grin on his face.
"Merry Christmas, buddy." Stark said to the jaw-dropped Kirishima.
"Damn. Some Christmas present." Kirishima's shoulders and jaw were slump by too much sheer 'Manliness'. "How can I even top that?"
"Stop being such a self-critical idiot." Was Bakugou's s response, that actually earned a laughter from the students, even Kirishima.
The EXTREMIS soldiers looked out at the small army of Iron Man suits all around them. "Jarvis, target EXTREMIS heat signatures." Stark ordered. "Disable with extreme prejudice."
"Yes, sir." Jarvis's voice announced through all the suits.
"So, an entire army of Iron Man suits, all under the control of a British Ojiro-sounding A.I." Hagakure summarized the scene in front of her. "How are you feeling about this, Ojiro?"
"Just. Wow." Ojiro had no words to describe this.
"Yeah, same." Hagakure nodded.
One suit in green and gold look around at the number of EXTREMIS soldiers, targeting them with thermal heat scans.
Mei quickly found the blue holographic screen showcasing the suit. Well, actually the screen moved closer to the main screen to see. Mei wrote down on her notebook the information of the suit: Mark 37, Alias: Hammerhead. Specialization: Deep Ocean Submersible Travel and Operation.
"That would be a very useful baby for naval Hero operations or construction of an undersea or coastal lab or rig." Mei analyzed.
"What are you waiting for? It's Christmas." Stark asked out, lazily making a sign of the cross before raising his arms out. "Take them to Church."
Ibara grinned wide. 'That's my Iron Man.'
The suits launched forwards and attacked. The first to strike was a green and silver suit, Mark 31, aka Piston. It struck an unaware EXTREMIS soldier off the platform, screaming as they fell, the armor spinning and landing, with a turn, onto a platform with three EXTREMIS men on it, quickly firing a Unibeam at the one in front of him before elbowing the one behind him.
An intricately design, yet thin, black and gold one hovered to a halt before a group of four EXTREMIS men. "Gentlemen." Jarvis greeted them before the suit split apart into several pieces and fired towards the enhanced soldiers, striking and blasting them off where they stood to fall to ground below. The suit pieces stuck back together to form the full suit before flying off in search of more EXTREMIS soldiers.
Melissa quickly wrote up descriptions of the suits like her life depended on her. And given what she intended to be; it might as well have. She wrote down the suit shown and wrote up the name and number of the suit: Mark 41, Alias: Bones.
"This suit must have been the model before Stark's recent Mark 42." Momo stated the obvious. "And with its ability to split itself into multiple pieces like its successor, this must be what designed the suit's callable prehensile feature."
"But then what's so different for this one?" Uraraka asked. "Is it because it is skinny?"
"Perhaps." Iida nodded. "Perhaps it was too thin for Stark to wear, giving it the alias of Bones."
"Also, the suit seems more basic in the prehensile feature." Izuku pointed out. "This Bones suit has more lager pieces splitting off from each other than the Mark 42, which had smaller, detachable pieces. It could be that was what Kacchan was going for and then made the Mark 42 to fix any problems the Mark 41 had."
"Must be a lot given how much the Mark 42 has been failing here." Todoroki muttered.
A comical tick mark appeared on Bakugou's head "It's a prototype, Icy Hot!" Bakugou raged.
The Piston Suit was grabbed by the three EXTREMIS soldiers all at once, two grabbing its arms and the third grabbing at its head. Two of them easily ripped off the head and arm of the suit before it flew off, taking one with it. "Incoming!" Katsuki warned, he and Kirishima ducked as Piston sailed overhead and crashed down below with the EXTREMIS soldier into an oil barrel, exploding in a large blaze of glory.
Mei screamed in horror, nearly bursting into tears.
"Mourn later, write now!" Melissa snapped her out of her wailing and the two began to write down the suits again, to the nervous, sweatdropped expressions of the rest of the group.
"Well, they're certainly...passionate?" Midnight said, trying to find the appropriate words.
"You mean Coocoo for Coco Puffs." Mount Lady corrected, bluntly.
The explosion caused for the structure Katsuki and Kirishima were on to creak and shake. "Jarvis, get Igor to steady this thing." Stark ordered.
"Igor?" Shoda questioned. "Like the Hunchback?"
Shipping crates were sent flying as a vastly larger blue and grey suit, with a hunchback like figure, barreled through the crates and drums of oil towards the burning failing leg of the structure, crushing the machinery underneath it. The Igor Suit push it out of the way and had the foot of the structure placed onto it's back. Mechanisms along its spine shifted and Igor pushed upwards, holding and steading the thing.
"Ohohoho, brilliant!" Nezu cackled, extremely pleased. "A suit perfect for stabilizing unstable structures with its hunchback, yet sturdy shoulders and spinal mechanisms. A perfect suit for Rescue operations in devasted urban areas and construction."
Uraraka immediately found her favorite, and even Power Loader was tempted to ask for Mei to invent this suit for himself, or rather to offer his assistance in the making of this sturdy suit.
"This is how you've been managing your down time, huh?" Kirishima asked Katsuki, smiling.
"Everybody needs a hobby." Stark replied.
"Again, I say, some hobby." Sato whistled.
"An awesome hobby!" Kaminari cheered.
All around them, the suits flew around the area, dodging and tanking bullets from the soldiers and guards, striking them off with physical force as they flew or blasting them with repulsor blasts.
"Wow, it's like a flock of killer drones all swarming around an enemy." Ryukyu commented. "A whole unit of these things would make for one of the most efficient and deadly agencies out there."
"Heartbreaker, help Red Snapper out, will you?" Katsuki ordered to one of his suits.
"Pfft, he's speaking to them like they are his kids doing chores." Setsuna chuckled.
"Exactly!" Mei exclaimed, eyes zooming for second towards Setsuna. "Finally! Someone gets it! You're alright by me!"
While Setsuna thought Mei was being a wee bit too generous in thinking that she got the pink mechanic's 'unique' mannerisms towards her inventions, hence Setsuna's sweatdropped expression, but Setsuna smiled at the smile and words of approval from her, knowing more of what they meant then just a simple friend and rather a sister of their recently formed group of lovestruck girls.
The Heartbreaker Suit, the very first suit shown and Mark 17, flew towards Mark 35, Red Snapper, where three EXTREMIS goons were clinging onto it as it flew, one hanging from its overtly large claw arms and the other two on its back. Heartbreaker blasted the one on the arm off, but as it neared its armor brother, the woman on its back leapt off towards Heartbreak, leaving the last man on the suit, pulling and tearing off the face plate of the suit. As the EXTREMIS man succeeded, showing its insides of his head, the suit flew aimless and dying towards the shipping crate hanging above and crashed in a fiery explosion, taking the thug with him.
"NO!" Mei wept dramatically at the death of another suit.
"Oh, this is gonna be Hell." Kyoka muttered, rolling her eyes.
Momo giggled. "For Mei or for your ears?"
Kyoka blushed at Momo's giggle. "Both." She muttered, before lifting and placing her earmuffs on.
Fireworks and flying barrels of oil soared through the air like missiles and crashed into EXTREMIS goons above, exploding on impact. As Ibara struggled from her bed, one barrel crashed and exploded the wall beside her, knocking her, and Todoroki up top, back from the explosion.
"No! /Ibara!" Class 1-B and Bakugou cried out.
Vlad King tightened his hold on his armrest, his best attempt of making a stoic face failing miserably under his worry.
"Relax, all of you." Aizawa spoke out. "While it is unpleasant of a fact, Ibara currently has EXTREMIS in her systems and whatever damage she may have sustained can be easily fixed."
That brought some relief to Ibara's class, homeroom teacher, and would-be, soon-to-be boyfriend, but they still held a shaky feeling that something bad was going to happen.
While the burning wreckage continued falling down, Mark 33, Silver Centurion, landed before Katsuki Stark, opening up for the Armored Avenger to armor up. "Nice timing." He complimented the suit.
"Ooh, I like this suit." Aoyama nodded, pleased. "The shoulder pads give it a quite regal, knightly look. What name is this suit?"
"The Silver Centurian." Melissa answered as she wrote it down.
"And an excellent name to add to it." Aoyama beamed. "Magnifique!"
"Hey, maybe that can be your Hero name, Aoyama." Izuku spoke up, excitedly. "Not that there is anything wrong with Can't Stop Sparkling, but your suit does have a silver luster to it, and you look like a knight so the name centurion could also fit."
Aoyama's smile faltered for a moment but was quickly revived with a classic Aoyama smile. "True, true. You speak true, Midoriya." Aoyama nodded. "Perhaps I shall think about this further."
Izuku nodded, though his own smile fell a bit. Though it was too fast to see, Izuku noticed how Aoyama's smile faltered. He was at first worried that he may have still offended Aoyama's current Hero name, and the Hero student by proxy, but Izuku's gut felt there was something more to that falter. 'Almost like he felt guilty or unworthy of such a Heroic name.' Izuku thought.
Kirishima grinned and nodded. "Oh, yeah. Now that's Manly." The Colonel said, pumped up. "Give me a suit, okay?" Katsuki looked at his best friend, arms wide and expecting.
Kirishima was too slow to lower his own outstretched, expecting arms before Mina saw and started laughing. Kirishima blushed, embarrassed at his enthusiasm for doing that, rubbing his neck, awkwardly.
"Oh, I'm sorry, they're only coded to me." Stark revealed.
"Huh?" Kirishima voiced, confused and disappointed.
"What does that mean?" Kirishima asked, grin and arms falling.
"I got you covered." Katsuki simply said, the face plate closing and flying off to join the action, leaving Kirishima there, suitless.
"Not Manly." Movie Kirishima muttered.
"Not Manly at all." Their Kirishima muttered.
"But wait, why isn't Kirishima coded to the suits?" Tetsutetsu questioned on Kirishima's behalf. "He was coded to the Mark 2 that became War Machine, so why not these ones?"
"I suppose that since Kirishima already had the War Machine and was well accustomed to it, that Stark believed that he had no need to code Kirishima into these suits." Shoji proposed an answer.
"That or he just forgot while he kept making more and more of the suits." Kamakiri threw out. "He was also not getting enough sleep because of those nightmares."
The Heartbreaker landed moments later, walking to Kirishima. "Good evening, Colonel." Jarvis greeted, stopping in front of him. "Can I give you a lift?"
"Very funny." Kirishima responded, wrapping his arms around the suit as it flew him upwards.
"Well, at least he flew me off in the one the like the most." Kirishima saw the bright side. "I like the design and bulky, yet slim look of this one."
"That's the Heartbreaker suit, I think." Izuku looked through the notes of suits he already wrote down. "It's specialized in artillery level repulsor technology and has more powerful repulsor tech than the other armors at the price of agility and being bulky."
"That just makes me like this suit more!" Kirishima declared. "Melissa, Hatsume! Can you make me one of those?!"
Melissa finally poked turned her head away from either the screen or the notebook to give Kirishima a raised eyebrow. "I thought out of all the armors you would want the War Machine one?" She asked, confused.
Kirishima paused. "Oh yeah." Kirishima nervously rubbed his neck. "Well, um, I mean yeah, the War Machine one instead. I guess I just like this one as an Iron Man suit and not a War Machine suit."
"It's okay, my man, I can always take the War Machine one." Tetsutetsu half-teased/half was serious.
"Hell No!" Kirishima denied immediately. "If anyone is going to fly a War Machine suit, it's going to be me!"
However, an EXTREMIS soldier leapt up from above and grabbed onto them. Heartbreaker flew and spun at the combined and struggling weight, but managing to drop Kirishima onto a catwalk, the Colonel combat rolling into a landing.
Kirishima panted and looked up, seeing two EXTREMIS goons running down the catwalk to attack him. Their path was barred by a black and gold suit, with large jackhammer like arms. Humming with power, the suit raised its large arms before slamming them onto the catwalk, launching the two EXTREMIS goons into the air where their landing was onto the arms of the black suit as it struck and knocked them back into the air, to be both blasted by another flying by suit.
"That was a sick combo!" Sen grinned wide.
"My Man! Or Suit." Kirishima thanked the onscreen suit. "What is that one?"
Izuku finished writing down the suit's name and a rough outline of the suit. "It's Mark 25, known as Striker or Thumper." Izuku answered. "Its use is for heavy construction and combat."
"Why the two nicknames?" Tetsutetsu asked.
F.R.I.D.A.Y. was the one to answer with "It's a funny nickname Jarvis labeled it out of Stark's ego: Raw, tough as nails, and gets the job done."
Snickers and chuckles came out of the students at the funny backstory of the Thumper suit. Bakugou tsked and rolled his eyes. "Stupid A.I. butler." Bakugou scoffed, but a faint, barely visible smirk was on Bakugou's mouth.
"Sir, I've located Miss Shiozaki." Jarvis reported to Stark.
"About time." Katsuki replied, flying through the area, blasting at EXTREMIS soldiers.
Slowing down, Iron Man landed on the catwalk of the charred and ruined building where Ibara was at, entering through the hole that the previous explosion caused. Iron Man walked in, looking around for his girlfriend. He then bent down to see a seemingly unconscious Ibara underneath a pile of rubble.
"Okay, she's alive." Kinoko sighed in relief. "I think."
"With EXTREMIS, its either she is unconscious or faking it." Reiko replied.
Walking towards her, Stark grabbed the rubble atop of her and begins to lift it up, metal shifting with screeching scraps.
"Stop!" Ibara gasped out, awake and conscious, and inches away from a particularly sharp and pointy piece of scrap metal. "Put it down. Put it down. Put it down."
"Well, that was too close." Sero wiped his brow. "I mean seriously, Bakugou, how could you almost impale your girlfr-*WHACK!* Ow!"
"I warned you." Bakugou simply said in response after whacking the back of constantly grinning teen's head.
"No, you didn't!" Sero responded.
Katsuki complied, slowly and gently putting the beam back down. Stark crouched, his face plate opening to meet Ibara's eyes. "See what happens when you hang out with my ex-girlfriends?" Katsuki quipped.
Ibara groaned half-heartedly while Stark raised his hand for her to take. "You're such a jerk." She responded.
"Yes, he is." Uraraka and Asui nodded, to Bakugou's glare of rivalry, mostly at Uraraka.
'But he is my jerk.' Ibara sighed internally.
"Yep, we'll talk about it during dinner." Katsuki simply countered. Ibara began sobbing with quiet laughter.
'I may be a jerk, but I'm her jerk.' Bakugou thought, unknowingly copying that who's jerky self belonged to.
Ibara then reached out to take his hand. "Come on. A little more, baby." Katsuki urged her on as Ibara reached out further with strain, their fingers brushing against each other.
"Come on, come on, come on, come on." The girls of 1-B muttered and stressed as the two's fingers brushed each other.
Their hands met with a grasp.
"Yes!" They all cheered.
Suddenly, a glowing cobalt blue hand shot out of the rubble beneath them and grabbed onto Stark's chest, gripping and ripping into the suit and its reactor easily. Stark groaned, stumbling back and falling to his back, the suit powering down without its power source.
"No!" The cheers became cries.
'Touya.' Shoto growled inwards, identifying his other worldly brother by his glowing blue arm.
Touya Todoroki burst free of the rubble, almost his whole-body cobalt blue and the black hairs along his sideburns spreading out to the back of his head and bit of the top and still looked like it was spreading. "Is this guy bothering you?" Touya asked to Ibara.
'I knew that wasn't the end of Touya.' Endeavor thought to himself, feeling guilty that his fatherly desires had him hoping that was the case. But then Endeavor blinked, narrowing his eyes at the screen. 'But he's...he's looking familiar to someone.'
Aizawa frowned on the same track as the Number 1 Pro, the answer right on the tip of his tongue but he just couldn't piece it.
Touya hopped out of his hole and straddled the downed Stark. "Don't get up." Touya insisted. His finger glowed blue and pressed onto Katsuki's armored chest, the suit beginning to heat up to Katsuki's discomfort.
"Touya ripped slashed out the suit's arc reactor when he popped out." Todoroki pointed out, flinching. "He can't move and is at my brother's-at Touya's mercy."
"Ooh. Is it hot in there?" Touya taunted with a sick smile.
"Bastard!" Bakugou growled hatefully.
"Stuck? Are you a little stuck there?" Touya continued taunting as Stark shook his head, exasperated. "Like a little turtle, cooking in his little turtle suit."
Now, even Koda was glaring at Touya Todoroki for bringing up the image of a cooked turtle. You know, on top of trying to roast and torture his classmate.
"Katsuki." Ibara called out to him. Katsuki looking back, uncertain and grunting in pain.
Ibara clasped her hands together before her, practically praying her heart out to let this madness end.
"She's watching." Stark looked back to Touya. "I think you should close your eyes. Close your eyes." Stark did not adhere, staring back defiantly. "Close your eyes." Touya ordered again. "You don't want to see this." Touya, his eyes, face, and arms glowing blue raised his left arm to deliver.
"No!" Both Endeavor and Shoto yelled at their son/brother.
But as he brought it down in a downward, backwards strike with the intent to kill, Stark acted, the wrist of the suit's right fist opened up to shoot out a sharp silver blade and raising it to Touya's arm's path, swiftly cutting the glowing arm off.
"Oooh!" The students exclaimed.
"That was sick!" Kamakiri exclaimed. "Okay, now this one is my favorite!"
Touya groaned in pain, the arm flying off the side. Touya got up, his arm beginning to regenerate.
"It's already regenerating?!" Hagakure questioned loudly.
"Yeah, take your time." Stark quipped, Touya falling down to the ground in pain at the regeneration.
"At least it hurts." Kyoka spat at the blue glowing Villain. "Sick bastard."
However, the cut off arm of Touya was still glowing and heating up, melting the metal floor as it sizzled and creaked. Finally, the metal gave way and opened a hole, Ibara falling down in and landing on her back onto a lower platform, groaning in pain and yelling as she laid half off the ledge, pinned again by the metal, over the ground far below.
"Oh shit!" Honenuki cursed.
An EXTREMIS was shown tossing a pipe like a javelin towards the approaching Mark 39, aka Gemini or Starboost, striking at its side. The white and gold suit spin in recovery, halting to a hovering stop and blasting the EXTREMIS soldier away with a repulsor blast. The falling man's glowing head struck a wire, disconnecting it to its base, causing the pully system to come online and began moving.
The suit opening up and alarms blaring, Katsuki burst free of the destroyed Silver Centurion and gets up. He looks down to see the crate Ibara was on moving away. Katsuki rushed out of the room to try and follow. He looks behind him to see an EXTREMIS soldiers chasing after him. Katsuki quickly jumps over to the catwalk across from him. As the soldier jumped into the air to descend upon the billionaire hero, an Iron Man suit flies in time and collides with the EXTREMIS soldier in midair, taking him away.
"Phew, nice save." Kirishima wiped his brow.
Katsuki looked to see Ibara's platform moving, with Ibara stuck and watching him. Katsuki looked to where it was heading to see a ruined section.
"Get there! Get there, you idiot, and save her!" Bakugou muttered to himself. "What's the point of all this power if I can't save the person I-"
Bakugou's eyes widened.
"Saves everyone with a smile!" Deku roared, looking beaten up and yet sparking with green energy, preparing his fist back while clouds swirled above him.
Bakugou shook his head, clutching at his head. 'W-What was that?' Bakugou questioned, not remembering ever seeing the damn nerd that beaten up. Even as the memory started to fade from his mind, he caught more, like the sparking orange lightning that sparked beside Deku but he couldn't see what or who was causing it. But it- 'It looked like the same lightning that sparks off of Deku when he uses One For All.'
Bakugou didn't know why this memory just came and went so quickly, but he figured out quickly that it must have had something to do with Bakugou muttering why he couldn't save Ibara with all his strength. 'I-It's exactly what Deku always groans about.' Bakugou realized. 'He cares more about saving than winning, while I always cared about winning. But now-' Bakugou looked to the girl he wants to save so desperately. 'Now, of all the times do I start to see the nerd's damn point? Dammit.'
Ibara looked to where Katsuki ran down the catwalk attempting to catch up. "Jarvis, give me a suit right now!" Katsuki ordered. Stark leapt over the wide gap between the destroyed catwalk, landing on the other side, while an Iron Man suit flew up to him from below. As the suits kept fighting in the background, Katsuki hurriedly climbs and jumped-up stairs to find an Iron Man suit, specifically Mark 22, Hot Rod, hovering, its backside open to receive him.
Mineta did not know why but he bit back a perverted chuckle, likewise, for some reason, thinking 'Phrasing.'
Only for an off-screen object to be hurled and strike the Hot Rod, impaling it to a wall. Katsuki landed in a stumble on the catwalk below yelling "Oh, come on!"
"God dammit!" Bakugou cursed.
"Stop killing those poor babies!" Mei yelled.
"Um Mei, they are attacking them." Uraraka pointed out. "It's not like they are going to take it lying down."
"But they started it!" Mei whined, childishly. "And those poor babies don't have to be the ones to suffer!"
Meanwhile, Kirishima looked down below to see where President Ellis was still hanging from, above the light decorated mast. "Mr. President!" Kirishima called out to the man, who looked up to see him. "Just hold on, alright? I'm coming."
"Smart, divide and conquer." Edgeshot nodded. "One to save the President and the other to save Shiozaki."
Kirishima looked to his side to see two EXTREMIS soldiers climb up to his catwalk and begin chasing after him. "Just hold on." Kirishima called out to him again. Quickly, Kirishima looked back and jumped, grabbing onto zipline cord, sliding down the wire to the shipping crate below. The EXTREMIS soldiers jumped after him and land on the crate, facing him.
Kirishima pulled out his gun and fired on them, the soldiers groaning at the gunshots. However, instead of falling down, they stood their ground, their bodies glowing orange with EXTREMIS and their bullet wounds closing, healed. "Okay." Kirishima said, sweating worried.
"Uh, Kiri, please get the F out of Dodge!" Mina exclaimed.
Kirishima kept firing as the soldiers ran towards him, swiftly ducking from the first's glowing fist that instead struck and scorched through one of the wires, the three stumbling on the tilting crate. Kirishima stumbled backwards and fell off, grabbing onto the ledge in time before he could plummet to his doom. He looked up to see the two soldiers looking down on him with glowing eyes.
"Bye-bye!" Kirishima shouted, pointing his gun towards the link between the other wire and the crate. The crate tilted back again, the two soldiers falling off and screaming to their doom. Meanwhile, as the crate swung through the air, Kirishima hung on and as the crate neared the President, Kirishima swung off and grabbed onto Ellis.
"Nice resourcefulness, kid." Hawks grinned. "Shoot the chain to get those two falling to their doom and off your back while using the momentum of the swinging crate to get to the President. A good tactic prioritizing both defense against an enemy and the saving of a civilian."
It was times like these that reminded the Pros and students that the often-laid-back Hawks was still the Number 2 Hero for a reason and could be quite intelligent and analytical behind all the snarks and quips.
The crate broke free from its remaining holdings, falling to the ship below, exploding in a large blast.
"Get out there, man!" Tetsutetsu yelled.
As the fire and smoke climbed up to them, Kirishima called out to the President, "Brace yourself!" He then aimed the Iron Patriot's glove to one of the chains and activated it, firing a repulsor beam and breaking the chain. The two swung in the air, yelling as the flames climbed higher. When the flames almost reached them, Kirishima swung off and landed to a catwalk, aiming his gun and shooting off the other chain, the President landing on his feet atop a machine, saved.
"Nice one, dude!" Sero clapped for his classmate.
"Quite the save Red Riot!" Fat Gum declared proudly. "Or should I say War Machine? Or Iron Patriot?"
"War Machine please." Kirishima insisted. "I've got enough jokes to know that name sucks now."
President Ellis looked back to his savior. "You look damn good, Mr. President." Ellis smiled at the compliment. "But I'm gonna need that suit back."
"Huh, I'm now imaging the President of the United States with an Iron Man suit." David admitted.
"That would frankly be the most badass President ever." Mic snickered.
Back with the Armored Avenger, Katsuki continued running down the catwalk above where Ibara was, grasping onto the metal next to her for dear life. Looking to where it was about to pass by Katsuki leapt off his catwalk, sailing through the air before barely landing on the moving platform with a grunt and stumble.
"Jesus, that was so close." Rin cursed.
"President is secure, Katsuki." Kirishima radioed in. "I'm clearing the area."
"Nice work." Stark congratulated his best friend.
Kirishima, donning the Iron Patriot again, grabbed onto the President. "Ready, sir?" Kirishima asked.
"What do you mean ready?" The President barely got out before screaming as he and the Colonel flew off into the air to safety.
"And Kirishima is getting the President to safety." Aizawa nodded. "Wise decision."
"But Bakugou's still fighting and trying to save Ibara." Kirishima protested. "I can't just leave them."
"It's our duty as a Hero, Red Riot, to protect those we can, and the President is at risk if he stays there with EXTREMIS soldiers, Touya Todoroki, and explosions and fire everyone." All Might spoke up. "Would you be able to live with yourself knowing that your desire to help a friend came at the cost of an important, innocent life?"
Kirishima had no reply to that and hung his head, shameful at his now clear selfish behavior.
"Besides, Red Riot, we also have to trust that our fellow Heroes can handle themselves." Fat Gum reassured Kirishima. "Wouldn't it be really unmanly to think that your comrades couldn't handle it?"
Kirishima perked up, his eyes gaining back their fire. "Of course, that would be Unmanly!" Kirishima declared. "I can trust Bakubro of all people to save Ibara and take down that creep!"
"You better, Shitty Hair, or I'll explode your face off!" Bakugou fired.
Katsuki climbed up the moving crane, below where Ibara was, whimpering and reaching out to him.
"'Bara, I got you." Katsuki tried to ease her as he reached for her. "Relax, I got you." The crane shook and Ibara exclaimed, holding back onto the beam.
'Grab her, grab her!' Bakugou raged at himself, fingers twitching and foot thumping impatiently.
"Just look at me." Ibara looked back at Katsuki. "Honey, I can't reach any further and you can't stay there. Alright? You got to let go."
'Please. Trust him.' Ibara prayed to herself. 'Lord, please make me strong and brave so I may return to him!'
"You've got to let go! I'll catch you! I promise!" Katsuki yelled out, desperate and hand outreached.
As the two tried reaching again, the crane shook and collapsed, Ibara slipping out of her platform.
"NO!" Katsuki yelled, reaching out. As if in slow motion, their fingers brushed...but don't meet.
"NO!" Bakugou and the students, and Vlad King yelled.
Katsuki looked down in horror as Ibara, screaming and reaching out to him, fell into the fire below, fading from view.
Ibara froze completely, horror defining every feature of her face, tears trailing down her eyes at how she failed to let go and reach him and see the consequences for it. Ibara could feel the sensation of arms wrapping around her from her left, tears welling down her shoulder, likely from Setsuna, but she couldn't response properly.
Almost the whole of Class 1-B was silent as the grave, save for the whimpering cries from Pony and Kinoko. Reiko and Kuroiro looked more haunted than they normally looked, Rin, hand clasped over his wide-open mouth in horror, Manga's text bubble held multiple question and exclamation marks, and Awase's face fell into his hands, devasted. Sheer shock and uncomprehending sadness were among many of their class, like Itsuka, Shoda, and Jurota, slumped in their seats, looking utterly defeated and saddened, Honenuki had his skeletal jaw hung open and shoulders slumped, appearing like an actual skeleton, and Bondo had his head down, slumping further into his seat with tears going down the holes of his head. Others among them turn their sadness into pure anger and rage, such as Tetsutetsu and Sen who slammed their fists into their armrests, Kosei, who clasped his throbbing, angry head, and Kamakiri who started cursing and stomping, all four of them sharing the same enraged, yet tearful eyes. Yui even looked completely in shock, tears going down her eyes, she didn't notice Shinsou's worried gaze.
Monoma at first tried to deny that this was happening, then he was a second away from exploding at Bakugou for failing to catch her and that he let her die, and then the thought registered in his mind how utterly stupid and horrible he sounded. And then the crushing sadness for his classmate, and even friend, overwhelmed him and he placed his face into his hands, a last act of defiance he had left in him to keep everyone from seeing his quivering mouth and tearing eyes.
1-A looked almost as devastated as their 1-B counterparts. Mina and Hagakure, and Uraraka and Asui were comforting each other, Momo's hands were over her mouth, tears streaming down her eyes and down her hands, and Jirou held her head down in sadness, shadows covering her eyes, yet her mouth quivered. Kirishima did his best to comfort Tetsutetsu over his own tears, and Sato did the same for the whimpering Koda. Tokoyami and Shoji held their heads down, eyes closed in respectful silence and deep sadness. Aoyama brought his knees up to his seat for him to wrap his arms around and slump his head onto, Mineta slumped slack-jawed, and Ojiro, arms crossed, shut his eyes shut strengthening himself to keep the sadness and tears in.
Kaminari and Sero joined in expressing their sadness in anger, mostly by slamming their fists into their armrests and having tearful, raging faces. Iida looked horrified and was utterly speechless. Todoroki looked utterly defeated, sadness and guilt for his brother's involvement in this tragedy eating at him from inside. Mirio's constant smile fell utterly to despair, Amajiki froze completely and stayed mournfully silent, and Nejire practically burst into tears.
The pros and teachers weren't handling it any better, especially the teachers. Death Arms hid his face in his large hands, Kamui held his head down in sorrow, and Mount Lady looked hopeless and sad. Mic growled enraged, fighting back the tears welling in his eyes, Midnight was the opposite of him and let the tears free, and Aizawa's expression was hidden beneath his scarf and mop of black hair. Ectoplasm's head was slump, Power Loader slumped in his seat, Snipe removed his hat and placed it over his chest, and Cementoss clasped his hands together and bowed his head, immensely saddened at the fate of one of their students. Hound Dog looked torn between raging like an uncontrollable beast or whimpering like a saddened dog. Tsukauchi and Gran Torino lowered their heads, the former lowering his hat to his chest, and both hid haunted looks in their eyes, the both of them hearing and imaging the deaths of those that they have witnessed before, the former of civilians and their dead bodies he was forced to oversee as they were recovered and the latter hearing the last dying moments of Nana Shimura against All For One. Recovery Girl sighed, muttering words of sympathies and apologies that the students had to be subjected to such sorrow.
Vlad King fell to his knees, arms slump at his sides, and any fury and anger he held now melting from his face to leave only heartbreak and sorrow. He couldn't stop the scene from replaying in his mind over and over, sometimes replacing the Ibara from that universe with his own, and every time his sorrow only grew and his face paled. He couldn't help the drowning guilt and pain of failure as a teacher for letting this happen to one of his students. That Ibara may have been an entirely different person, but she looked, acted, and sounded just like his own and hurt all the same.
Endeavor held the same heart-wrenching guilt as Shoto over his eldest son's actions in all this, Hawks and Edgeshot lowered and bowed their heads respectively, not pleased at all that this happened but aware that the students needed to face the sting of failure to save a life at some point, as many of them did. Ryukyu crossed her arms and lowered her head, saddened at the fate of young girl's counterpart, and Miruko growled hatefully towards Touya Todoroki for his fault in all this. Nezu looked both incensed and devastated at the death of one of his students, both rationalizing that it was the counterpart of one and yet remembering the similar pain he felt upon Young Shirakumo's death in the past. All Might looked utterly heart-broken at one of his students and wards falling into the flames, hatred burning in himself for not being there to help stop this, both himself and his godly counterpart.
Even Mei and Melissa ceased any writing of the suits in silent mourning, the former slumping in her seat and the other tending and comforting the boy next to her. Izuku felt tears fall from his eyes at seeing one of his classmates die before his eyes, helpless to do anything about it, in universe and not. He appreciated Melissa's hands on his shoulder and arm while he could do the one thing he could do: hug and comfort the saddened Kouta, who looked almost haunted, and the whimpering and crying Eri. He looked to Bakugou and only looked more devastated at what he saw
Katsuki continued staring with horror and tears in his eyes, looking away and shaking in gasps of sadness and rage.
Katsuki Bakugou could be compared to a statue with how still and lifeless he looked. The crackles and pops of his Quirk died, almost like his very soul. To Izuku, Bakugou looked more devastated and broken than during their argument and fight after the Licensing Exam. He felt nothing, not that he didn't feel overwhelming sadness, rage, and sorrow, but that it felt like a part of his heart just died right then and there. It was only the vine wrapped tightly around his wrist that reminded him that his own Ibara was alive, that didn't make that last part of his heart die too.
"W-W-Why?" Pony finally broke the silence with a whimpering question.
"Sometimes there isn't a why, kid." Aizawa spoke up, his eyes poking of his hair, haunted eyes that remembered the bloody state of his best friend. "Sometimes the world is just cruel."
Touya Todoroki stalked up the steps, glowing blue and half his hair already black, looking down to where Ibara fell.
Immediately, almost all sadness and sorrow were quickly replaced with unparallel rage and hatred, with only Endeavor and Shoto unable muster the capacity to hate their son/brother.
But Bakugou looked like he would journey all across Hell itself to be Touya Todoroki's personal tormentor for all eternity.
Katsuki Stark climbed back up, his face distraught. He looked up towards Toua on the other end of the catwalk.
"A shame." Touya called out. "I would've caught her."
"Shut. The. Fuck. Up." Setsuna growled out. She looked down towards Bakugou and said, "End him."
"My pleasure." Bakugou finally spoke.
Rage and determination flooding his face, Katsuki rushed down, Touya rushing down in return. As Touya jumped and leapt towards him, Bakugou instead fell into a slide, the blue EXTREMIS madman sailing over him. Touya landed and looked back, seeing Stark get up from the slide and into an Iron Man suit in front of him. He turned around, now donning Mark 16, Nightclub, to face down Touya.
"Beat his ass, Bakubro!" Kirishima cheered with righteous indignation.
Despite the sad event that had just occurred, Mei and Melissa steeled through and continued to write down more of the suits and their design as quickly as possible, including the Mark 16 on screen.
As Touya reached him, he struck Iron Man with a backhand, the Armored Avenger countering with a solid right hook to the face. Another backhanded strike from Touya shredded off a piece of the suit's right shoulder, and Stark leans back to dodge a right swipe from his face. He raised his left palm to fire a repulsor blast, Touya dodging and pushing the firing hand away, Katsuki continued with another right hook, Touya this time dodging and swiping off a bit of the suit's right side.
Katsuki struck Touya with left hook that disoriented the latter a bit, in time for Stark to grab Todoroki by the back of the head and tried slamming his face down to the sidebar. Touya stopped the motion by bracing himself against the rail with his glowing hands. As they contested in strength, the rail heating molten, Touya slipped off Stark's hold and grabbed the arm and ripped off a good portion of the suit. Iron Man went in for another straight right hook, to be contested against Touya's left fist, the two bouncing off each other with sparks, but the suit held the most damage, more pieces breaking off and Touya only groaned as the skin of his fist regenerated.
"Unfortunately, Stark is at a bit of a disadvantage." Hawks pointed out, analyzing how the two fought. "If he was far away and focusing on projectiles, he could whittle and chip away at his regeneration for a final killing blow. But in close combat, Touya has the greater speed and super strength and any damage he could receive from Stark physically can be regenerated quickly."
Bakugou heard the Number 2's words, and he didn't care. Even if he could have influenced the fight and how it would go, he wouldn't care. All he could think about was punching this smug, arrogant monster that took away the only girl he ever truly cared about.
Recovering first, Touya spears onto Katsuki, pushing him off the catwalk to a platform below onto his back. Touya jumped after him, straddling him and preparing a finishing right blow. "Eject." Katsuki ordered quickly, the suit complying by shooting Stark out of the upper part of the suit, sliding under Touya with his remaining lower half while the EXTREMIS enhanced madman only struck through the empty upper half.
"Oh shit, that was close!" Kaminari exclaimed, rubbing where the glowing fist of Touya smashed through the suit.
Touya looked taken aback but quickly removed his fist through the remains. Meanwhile, Katsuki fell towards the ground, only to be caught and suited up by another suit, the Mark 40, Shotgun. Fully suited, Iron Man rocketed upwards, smashing into Touya and ascending upwards. Colliding with the rail of another catwalk, Touya was dropped onto the ground while Iron Man flipped in midair and landed with a roll, in crouch facing Touya.
"Nice recovery." Ryukyu nodded. "Both by attacking with the suit in time to catch Todoroki off guard and recover from that attack to prepare for more."
Touya got up, his heat shedding the last of his black dress shirt and revealing more of his bare upper half, including Chinese dragon tattoos over his glowing blue pecs and shoulders, more of his white hair turning black.
Hawks blinked, startled. 'Those...those tattoos.' He thought. And while the tattoos didn't amount to anything in particular, the way they looked and with how dark his hair now was he looked almost exactly just like-
'No, no, no. It isn't him. Out of anybody he could be, he's not him!' Hawks continued to be stuck in denial.
Meanwhile, Hawks wasn't the only one who found the similarities. Aoyama shuddered in pure fear, his mind travelling back to the Forest Training Camp, when the League of Villains attack and the forest blazed in cobalt flames. He remembered when he poked his head out of his hiding spot, how he saw that scarred Villain in the black coat looking straight at him.
'He knew I was there. He saw me. I knew he did.' Aoyama still swore that was the case and feeling like he knew full why he was let go by the same Villain that he Touya now resembles.
Endeavor flinched the more that he saw his son's hair changed. The more it changed away from the white hair he used to have the more reminded Endeavor of how he abandoned Touya after his own hair changed color and his tolerance to his own flames grew worse. And what was worse was that the more his hair grew darker, the less Touya started to look less like his mother, the parent he should have taken after, and more like Endeavor, the one who's traits had led to Touya's own death.
Iron Man raised his palms and fired his repulsor beams at him, Touya ducking and rolling under the beams of energy and reaching Stark almost instantly. Stark tried to strike at him, but Touya ducked under the punch and swiped at Katsuki's side, ripping a part of the Shotgun armor's side, following quickly by another swipe that tore at his other side.
"Huh, seems like that focusing on projectiles advantage was crap." Miruko raised a challenging eyebrow at Hawks, who simply rolled his eyes.
"Not far enough, evidently." Edgeshot responded. "And that display of agility and speed only makes Todoroki more dangerous and unpredictable."
Stark grabbed and tossed Touya onto the side of a pulley system and aimed his palms to blast him again. Touya ducked again and reached towards Stark, raising another hand at him, the EXTREMIS-powered man instead grabbing the hand and turning it over, the blast hitting Stark's armored face instead, knocking him backwards.
"Wow, talk about a new spin on hitting himself." Death Arms said, surprised. "Now he shot himself."
Before he could fall off the platform they came from, the thrusters in his back stopped his descent and slowly raised him back up to continue the fight. Katsuki dodged another punch from Touya, countering with a knee to his chest and following with a thruster-propelled knee to the face, stunning the villain backwards. Stark ended the combo with another thruster-propelled attack, this time a backhand slap across the villain's face.
"Oooh! He just hit him with a rocket powered bitch slap!" Kaminari exclaimed and laughed.
"Well deserving." Sero nodded.
Stark attempted to Sparta kick him backwards, only for his leg to be grabbed by Touya. Stark quickly opened the leg of the suit to free and pull back his leg in time to avoid a heated chop from Todoroki, slicing through the suit's empty leg.
"Phew. I guess it's a good thing that he focused his new suits on being able to be easily removed." Ojiro breathed out, relieved, his brain picturing what would occur if he was wearing one of his older less removeable ones. Ojiro hissed at the mental image.
Touya used the sliced off limb of the suit to smack Stark across the face. Katsuki recovered and grabbed Touya, attempting to throw him to the ground, but Touya recovered and instead was the one to flip Katsuki to the ground, on his hands and knees. Stark slowly got back up to his knees while Touya stood before him. He tried to blast the EXTREMIS-powered man with a point black repulsor blast, but Todoroki grabbed the hand and heated it hotter, Katsuki groaned as the systems spasmed and malfunction and the heat and grip.
"Well, here we are on the roof." Touya quipped, a fond and reminiscent look on his grinning face.
Both Izuku and Bakugou flinched at that mention, but it only serves to make the ash-blonde teen even more enraged.
Touya heated and readied his other hand and raised it high. Katsuki ejected from the suit just as Touya sliced it in half. Katsuki landed on his face, groaning in pain while Touya stood over him from above.
"Katsuki." Ibara muttered weakly, fear gripping her heart.
The two then heard the whooshing of an object flying through the air and looked to where it came from. "Mark 42 inbound, sir." Jarvis reported, and true to his word, the latest and beaten-up model was flying towards Stark.
"I'll be damned." Katsuki breathed out. "The prodigal son returns."
Both Bakugou and Mei smiled wide, one brightly and joyous, and the other had more of sick grin.
The Mark 42 flew towards the billionaire hero, stumbling a bit as the thrusters sputtered off for a second, still worn and beaten looking. Touya looked on with curious fascination while Katsuki Stark got back on his knees, thrusting his right hand backwards ready to receive the approaching Mark 42.
Only for the suit to collide with a structure a few meters away and crash to the floor in pieces.
They didn't mean it, especially so soon after Ibara, but one person cracked and the infectious power of laughter had everyone laughing and chuckling, even Ibara.
"He can't get a break with that thing, can he?" Sato chuckled.
"Well, he can." Sero gestured to the broken pieces of the suit, and they exploded in laughter.
Bakugou had to be restrained by both Black Whip and Aizawa's Quirk to keep Bakugou from murdering the two, and everyone else.
Touya tilted his head, his smile amused. "Whatever." Katsuki groaned, annoyed.
"You really didn't deserve her, Katsuki." Touya began, looking down on the armor less Avenger. "It's a pity. I was so close to having her perfect."
"Who said she needed perfecting, you glow up bastard?!" Bakugou yelled. "She was perfect just the way she was!"
Ibara's heart skipped a beat as the girls actually cooed at Bakugou's words. She looked at her crush with wide, disbelieving eyes and blushing cheeks while the man himself sputtered clearly intending for those words to not have been so vocal. A giggle crack of her smiling mouth, gazing adoringly at the man she, now can admit, fell hard for.
Touya jumped down to the platform. "Okay, okay, wait, wait, wait!" Katsuki got up and raised his hands in peace. "Slow down! Slow down!" Touya complied and waited. "Look...I'm sorry. For ditching you and leaving you up there. I should have been straight forward, I was a douche, and I'm sorry it has come to make you like this."
Izuku and Bakugou froze, looking at each other, silently. And in there, the two shared more words than they needed to out loud. To Izuku, he can see Bakugou struggling to say the same, struggling for the apology he wanted to say to say to Izuku for everything that he did, especially the suicide baiting, but just couldn't get the words out. To Bakugou, Izuku registered what he was struggling to say and shook his head, though he was smiling sadly. Bakugou quickly picked up that Izuku knew why he was struggling to say it, that Izuku understood and didn't want an apology that needed struggling to say.
'I...I want to say it. B-But...I just...can't.' Bakugou didn't know if it was because of everyone around them that would hear and find out about their past, or if it was because of Ibara learning specifically, or even if it was because he didn't want to apologize just because his own counterpart apologized to Touya. He just simply couldn't. Not now. 'But I will. Whether you have forgiven me already or not, you naive, forgiving nerd.'
Touya paused in surprise for a second, before scoffing in disbelief. "Really?" He asked. "Apologies, now? A little too late on that, don't you think, little turtle?"
Endeavor flinched again, his mind easily twisting those words to be directed towards him, only instead of calling him a little turtle, he could hear Touya saying 'Father.' And it was true. 'It is too late for me to say sorry. Not after everything I've done.' Endeavor thought to Rei in the mental hospital, a sad looking Fuyumi, an angry Natsuo, a young Shoto, with fresh bandages over his left side, glaring at him, and, finally, Touya's shrine. 'But it's not too late for me to make amends for your brothers, your sister, and your mother. And so, I will. In your name, and for them, I will make things right.'
"Wait, there's more!" Stark raised his hands again, stopping Touya from advancing, to the man's annoyed shake of the head. "And you're right. I don't deserve her."
While Bakugou slowly nodded, Ibara looked down onto him, shaking her head, denying both Katsuki's from thinking that.
"But here's where you are wrong." Katsuki Stark continued, determined and serious. "She was already perfect."
And once more, the girls cooed at the romantic line, and Bakugou didn't care, only nodding with his counterpart. Ibara shed more tears again, only this time, happy tears.
Touya smirked and advanced towards Katsuki. Stark then swept his hands over the Mark 42 before pointing towards Touya, the suits flying forwards and latching onto the Villain instead.
"Wait, what is he doing?!" Awase looked extremely confused. "He's giving him the suit?"
Touya was confused before the rest of the suit latched onto him, the palms thrusters still firing and pinning him against the wall. Touya strained against his binds, his face heating up blue.
"He's pinning him against the crate with the Mark 42." Kamui summarized. "Brilliant."
"It's mainly to help bring the suit to himself and to shield others, but now, it's a prison." David smiled.
"Jarvis," Katsuki said. "Do me a favor and blow Mark 42."
"What?!" Mei exclaimed, horrified.
"NO!" Touya Todoroki yelled, his mouth lighting up blue, before his face was covered by Mark 42's helmet.
"NOW DIE, YOU GLOWSTICK BASTARD!" Bakugou roared.
Katsuki jumped and began sliding down the beam as the Mark 42, with Touya inside exploded in a massive explosion.
"YES!" The students cheered for Bakugou's victory and Touya Todoroki's defeat, with only Mei mournful that it had to cost the destruction of so many suits, including the Mark 42. Melissa and Izuku sweatdropped but comforted the pink-haired inventor, nonetheless.
Endeavor and Todoroki instead looked down mournfully. Evil bastard or not, he was still their son and brother, respectively, and they couldn't hate Touya anymore than they could hate themselves. Izuku and All Might looked at the two with unreadable expressions.
As the top was covered in the flames and the metal buckled under the impact, Katsuki leapt off the beam and into the air, sailing and colliding with an opening half-destroyed Mark 15, suiting up with it as the blast exploded out more.
"Holy shit!" Kaminari exclaimed. "Get out of there, dude!"
Stark crashed and rolled roughly on a titling catwalk, managing to hold onto a broken railing, his current suit almost completely wrecked. The industrial installation began collapsing and falling to the ground, the upper area in flames. As the he began descending with the structure, Katsuki let go, slowing his descent to the ground to a rough, yet safe landing, now only equipped with the arm of the suit.
"And he's safe!" Mineta declared, chopping his arms out sideways, like a baseball umpire.
The rest of the installation collapsed all around him, Katsuki raising his armored arm for protection. One of the final things to fall before him was the ruined helmet of the Mark 42, covered in flames. Katsuki looked at the helmet on fire with concerned, only for the face plate to crack and fall out, revealing no head inside the helmet. Katsuki scoffed.
Suddenly, he heard the sounds of metal creaking and shifting. He looked to see the figure of Touya rising out of the flames, eyes widening. Touya stumbled out of the fire, almost dancing as swayed two and fro. His entire body covered in burn scars, cracks along his body, giving the appearance of blue molten magma, as EXTREMIS attempted to regenerate him, his hair was now crispy, but black and disheveled.
"How is he still alive?!" Mineta wailed.
The faces of Shoto, Endeavor, and Hawks fell, their expression a mixture of shock, horror, and recognition.
Miruko even looked taken aback, her eyes blinking at what the eldest Todoroki looked like. 'Patchwork?' Miruko thought, referring to the villain she faced but escaped after Endeavor and Hawks defeated the High End Nomu.
A glowing blue crack raked across his burn-scarred face as Touya Todoroki grimaced. "No more false faces." He growled out, his eyes ablaze blue.
Hawks's eyes were the size of dinner plates. 'No.' Hawks thought, jaw trembling. 'But...that's impossible.' Touya Todoroki's face, now fully resembled one he knew all too well. All he was missing was the piercings.
"I'll be in touch, partner." Hawks remembered their meeting after the 'test' of the High End Nomu, their jabs at each other, and his partner's parting words.
Stark groaned, trying to get up as Touya made his way to him. "You said you wanted the Mandarin." He stated. "You're looking right at him."
Shoto's eyes widened, jaw dropping. His mind raced back to the Forest Training Camp, the night of the attack by the League of Villains, he and Shoji rushing to grab Mr. Compress's two marbles that held their classmates. Shoji grabbed Tokoyami's but when he went for Bakugou's, He snatched it up and left, taunting him with words that sounded just like his gravely sounding brother from another life.
"Well, isn't that a tragedy." Shoto remembered his scarred face, his taunting smile, and taunting words as he sailed past him, words that Shoto always felt that they sounded personal. "Poor little Shoto Todoroki."
"It was always me, Katsuki." Touya Todoroki revealed. "Right from the start."
The flames on Endeavor's face sputtered out, his whole body grown cold. His eyes and mouth widened in sick horror at the state of his eldest son, and what he reminds him of.
"There's no way I'd be able to win. Not against the Top Two Heroes Covered in Wounds!" His clouded vision couldn't fully let Enji make out his face, but he recognized the gravelly voice that this Touya and He shared. And while he couldn't make his face, the images the Heroes of have of his appearance was a damn near photocopy of the man he saw before him.
"I AM THE MANDARIN!" Touya proclaimed, his burnt arms raised above his burnt body, glowing cobalt blue.
"And Don't You Dare Get Killed, ENJI TODOROKI!" Dabi's voice taunted Enji as he looked at Dabi, now sporting his son's name and proclaiming another, his mind racing in denial and horror, having trouble controlling his breathing.
But before he could strike, the Mandarin was sent sailing through the air.
The sudden attack snapped Endeavor from his own anxiety attack.
"Woah! What just happened?!" Sen questioned loudly.
The screen paned to see the one that sent Mandarin flying with a pipe: Ibara Shiozaki.
"IBARA?!" The group shouted, in shock but overjoyed, evidence by their rising smiles.
Ibara panted, her eyes and body glowing with EXTREMIS but otherwise flawless and without injury.
Melissa smacked herself in the back. "Hello, Melissa!" Melissa said to herself. "She has EXTREMIS, and that Ellen lady from before also had EXTREMIS and survived going through an active fire!"
Ibara was snapped from her shock as she was grabbed into a massive hug by all the girls of 1-B. "You're alive, Ibara!" Kinoko declared, tearfully happily. "You shroomvived!"
"Ibara is okay!" Pony wailed, joyfully. "I'm so happy!"
"Come on, Shio! I already had one fake out death from someone I care about, now you did it too?!" Setsuna whined, though her smile was anything but angry. "How could you be so careless?!"
Ibara blushed, smiling warmly. "I'm sorry for making you all worry." Ibara muttered. "I'll repent with a rosary later."
"You better." Yui muttered back, a tear running down her face.
The 1-B girls exploded into giggles and laughter, while their 1-A counterparts looked at them, happy to see that Ibara survived.
"SHIOZAKI!" That was all the warning they got before Vlad King came up wrapped all the girls up in bear hug. "YOU'RE OK! ONE OF MY LITTLE GIRLS IS OKAY! I'M SO HAPPY!"
"Mr... Vlad King..." Itsuka choked up from the suffocating hug.
"You're...choking us..." Reiko, her face almost turning blue, tried to wiggle and worm her way out of the hug.
Katsuki Stark stared silently. "I got nothing." Katsuki admitted, shaking his shell-shocked face.
Katsuki Bakugou was the same. He frozen yet again with a similar look to his counterpart. Suddenly, he could breathe easier, the part of his heart that felt like it died was now beating again.
Bakugou slowly craned his head to where Ibara was and met her gaze, silently. His mouth and eyes quivered as Ibara smiled brightly at him. A tear welled up in his eye.
Overhead, as Mandarin got up and Ibara looked up, an Iron Man suit was flying towards them, its hud targeting both Mandarin and Ibara.
"The suits are programmed to target EXTREMIS, including Shiozaki!" Iida yelled out, his arm chopping at lightspeed.
"Disengage! Disengage, you stupid hunk of junk!" Bakugou quickly called out.
"Jarvis, subject at my 12 o'clock is not a target, Disengage!" Stark ordered, looking to see that Ibara was on the suit's warpath. He reached for his earpieces, only to find it lying on the ground next to him.
"Seriously?!" Setsuna exclaimed at the ridiculousness.
The suit raised it humming palm towards Ibara.
"No! Stop!" Pony cried out.
Ibara dodged from the beam of energy, exploding the area behind her. As the suit was coming around for another attack, Ibara looked at Katsuki with glowing eyes.
"Um, Bakugou." Mineta shivered under the glare from EXTREMIS Ibara. "I think the Misses is mad at you."
"Shut up, you purple midget!" Bakugou yelled, not having any of it right now.
"What?" Katsuki asked, nervously. Ibara then rushed towards him. "Oh, what, are you mad at me?!"
Instead of attacking him, Ibara jumped off of Stark's knees and jumped into the air striking her hand through the suit's chest clean through, she twisted herself in mid-air, plunging the suit into the ground.
While the students cheered for Ibara for the 'badass move', as Awase put it, Mei instead looked heartbroken at another suit destroyed, and over a misunderstanding.
Shiozaki then ripped the arm of the suit off, equipping it, and swung with it behind her, sending the Mandarin flying back. "Whoo!" Katsuki exclaimed.
"BAHAHAHA!" Kamakiri burst out laughing. "Take that, Lava Face!"
Ibara spotted a missile rolling on the ground. She went to it, kicked it over towards the recovering Mandarin, as the missile reached him, Ibara fired a beam of energy from the armored glove. The Mandarin could barely react before the missile was struck with the beam and it and him exploded, leaving nothing but a burning pile.
"Okay, I think he's dead." Tetsutetsu sweatdropped.
While the girls celebrated Ibara finally defeating the Villain Todoroki, the two Todoroki's of their group looked at that burning pile that was once Touya Todoroki and mournfully slumped in their seats. They would feel a hand placed on their shoulder and would look up to see it was Izuku and All Might, respectively comforting their own Todoroki. The Symbol of Peace and his protégé looked at father and son with serious looks that switched to sympathetic and apologetic frowns.
Shoto was taken aback, but quickly smiled back, sadly, at his best friend and nodded, placing a hand over Midoriya's own in gratitude. 'He may have looked like my brother, shared the name, similar powers, and sad history, but that is my Touya, my brother.' Shoto thought back to the pictures of the once happy Touya in his home. 'And my brother is in peace, at least I hope he is.'
Endeavor meanwhile was surprised at the heartfelt gesture from someone that he hated and despised for so long, and made no secret of it, including to the man himself. But Endeavor could find no lie in All Might's sincere eyes or his unspoken words. 'He may have shared the same voice, name, and looks like my son, but that he isn't. My son is gone.' Endeavor thought with acceptance. 'Despite all I did, he is at peace now. He's no longer here for me to harm and make miserable.' His eyes flinched when his mind decided to remind him of Dabi and their...similarities. 'Right?'
While the Todoroki's thanked both the former Number 1 and the future one, Hawks stared at Endeavor with equal sympathy, but his mind was too busy on the scarred, flame-wielding Villain that Touya looked too much like. 'I need to find out more about Dabi and find out the truth of this.' Hawks thoughts recalled to the PLF meetings and their plans to take over Japan and bring down Hero Society, Dabi among them. 'Before it's too late.'
Ibara panted, adrenaline coursing through her. "Honey?" Ibara whirled around to turn towards Katsuki. Ibara looked between Stark and what was left of Todoroki.
"Oh, my God." She cursed. "That was really violent."
Setsuna sighed, fondly. "Never change, Shio." Setsuna patted Ibara's shoulder. "Never change."
Ibara rolled her eyes, but smiled and took the joke, gracefully.
They heard footsteps and Ibara turned to see Eri coming up to her and hugging her. "I'm glad you are alright, Auntie Shio!" Eri smiled so innocently and joyfully. "I was so sad, but now you are okay, so everything okay, right?"
Ibara's eyes welled comically. 'She's an angel!' Ibara declared, picturing Eri with a halo and angel wings on her. She proceeded to embrace the girl like the blessing she was and affirm to her wellbeing.
"You just scared the devil out of me." Katsuki admitted. "I thought you were-"
"I was dead. Why?" Ibara asked, sarcastically. "Because I fell 200 feet?" Stark dipped his head, Ibara saying what was on his mind. "Who's the hot mess now?"
"Quite the hot mess." Bakugou muttered, without thinking.
The whole of 1-A and 1-B burst into laughter. Bakugou realized what he just said out loud and imitated Deku with how red he became. "S-S-SHUT UP YOU FUCKING EXTRAS!" Bakugou stuttered. "SHUT UP RIGHT NOW OR I'LL BLOW UP WORSE THAN TODOROKI!"
While Bakugou tried, and failed, to say his reputation, he wasn't the only one on the receiving end of the student's teasing laughter. Setsuna howled like a monkey, holding her sides while Ibara encased herself again in a cocoon of her vine hair, trying to hide both her red hot blush and conceal her adorable squeal. The latter was unfortunately still audible enough for the girls to laugh even more.
"It's still debatable." Stark retorted, reaching and grabbing the earpiece. "Probably tipping your way a little bit. Why don't you dress like this at home? Hmm? Sports bra, the whole deal?"
Mineta patted Bakugou's shoulder. "Welcome to the Horny Side, my brother." Mineta shed a single tear for his newest member.
"UNHAND ME!" Bakugou's welcoming gift was a swift uppercut that sent Mineta comically flying.
Ibara ignored the comment and looked at the suit's arms she still sported. "You know, I think I understand why you don't want to give up the suits." Ibara admitted. "What am I going to complain about now?"
"His behavior, his short-temper, his arrogance, that awful goatee, his selfishness." Uraraka listed off. "Should I go on or should I just write it all down?"
"SCREW OFF, PINK CHEEKS!"
Katsuki got up. "Well, it's me." He replied. "You'll think of something."
"DON'T UNKNOWINGLY AGREE WITH PINK CHEEKS, OTHER ME!"
AS he approached Ibara slowly, Ibara shook her head and backed. "No, don't touch me!" She said, panicking.
"Don't worry about it." "No, I'm gonna burn you!" "No, you're not." The two bantered lightheartedly, Katsuki placing a hand on her arm and feeling nothing. "Not hot."
"Am I going to be okay?" Ibara asked, worried.
"Yeah, like, is there a cure for EXTREMIS?" Awase asked. "Like do they have to flush it out of her system somehow or is just going to science the shit of it."
"I'm going with science the shit out of this." Power Loader replied.
"No." Katsuki responded. "You're in a relationship with me. Everything will never be okay." The two chuckled.
"Hey, you said it yourself, not me." Uraraka shrugged and stuck her tongue at the explosive blonde flipping her the bird.
"But I think I can figure this out, yeah." Stark eased her. I almost had this 20 years ago when I was drunk. I think I can get you better. That's what I do. I fix stuff."
Bakugou peeked over at Deku and remembered his mistake that he still needs to fix.
"And all your distractions?" Shiozaki asked.
"Uh...I'm going to shave them down a little bit." Stark answered. "Jarvis. Hey." Stark tapped on his earpiece.
"All wrapped up here, sir." Jarvis reported. "Will there be anything else?"
Looking to Ibara, Katsuki replied "You know what to do."
"The Clean Slate Protocol, sir?" Jarvis questioned, unsure.
"Clean Slate?" Mei tilted her head, confused.
"Screw it, it's Christmas." Katsuki replied. "Yes, yes."
Katsuki hugged the confused Ibara. She hugged back tenderly. She looked up to see one of the suits fly up to suddenly self-destruct and explode.
"AAAAHHHHH!" Mei wailed in horror. "What's happening?!"
Ibara began to smile as more and more suits began exploding overhead, showering the area in fireworks.
"He's destroying all the suits." Melissa explained, eyes wide. "Shaving off a bit of his responsibilities?"
"Ooh! Pretty fireworks!" Eri pointed out, giddily.
"That looks so cool!" Kouta declared.
Ibara hugged Katsuki tighter, who kissed her neck lovingly.
Ibara felt her heart swell at the beautiful sight of the fireworks, and even more of the meaning behind it.
"Okay, so far?" Katsuki asked. "You love it?"
Ibara sighed. "It'll do." She answered breathlessly.
Meanwhile, Bakugou forced Deku to write down specific instructions and notes for later. He almost awarded Deku an explosion to the face when he noticed the nerd's shit eating grin.
The two smiled and continued hugging each other.
As the group started to clap and cheer for this happy ending, Izuku and almost all the girls had to keep Mei from murdering Bakugou, with such ferocity in her eyes that even startled and unnerved her very target.
The screen turned black, Stark's narrating voice speaking out again. "And so, as Christmas morning began, my journey had reached its end."
"You start something pure," The screen came alive with the sadden image of Maya in Switzerland.
Ibara frowned and made a sign of the cross and prayer for both Maya and her counterpart, Saiko, hoping that she has a better ending than Hansen.
"Something exciting. Then, come the mistakes." The past Touya's face was shown, back on the roof with his broken and despairing look.
Endeavor and Todoroki looked mournfully at the past version of Touya and were saddened of what he became. Midoriya also sent a look of sympathy for the past Touya, as someone who once felt exactly the same. Izuku was just sorry that Touya didn't have anyone to bring him out of that darkness.
"The compromises." The scene shifted to the present, the Vice President being led out by security, arrested, with Colonel Ejiro Kirishima, in uniform, watching him go.
Kirishima saluted his counterpart for a job well done, bringing that traitor to justice. While he could understand and sympathize with his actions, Kirishima could not forgive Rodriguez for willingly aiding Touya and trying to bring about a super terror war for money and influence.
"We create our own demons." Stark continued as Trevor was led out of a police car, arrested and escorted by SWAT. Trevor was surprised to find dozens of news people calling for him for questions, to which he tried to greet but was kept back by the SWAT.
Nezu nodded, satisfied. Despite the fact that Trevor never actually killed anyone, he was still a part of, mostly of his free volition, this conspiracy and there are consequences that need to be given and received.
"As promised, I got Pepper sorted out." It shifted again to a couple of doctors putting on their masks and preparing. "It took some tinkering."
Ibara breathed a sigh of relief, alongside the rest of her class. She looked down to see the girls of Class 1-A, Melissa, Hatsume, and Nejire giving her smiles and thumbs up. Ibara smiled and nodded back. They, along with Setsuna, may be participating in something that went against her beliefs, but, in the end, they are her friends, and her faith, as she reminds herself, says to love, pray, and care for everyone, especially those unlike you.
"But then I thought to myself, 'Why stop there'?" The screen paned to show it was Katsuki Stark himself on the operating table, being put to sleep with a large light shown down onto the arc reactor in his chest.
"He's getting the shrapnel thingies out of his chest!" Kouta pointed out.
"Of course, there are people who say progress is dangerous," Stark raised a final thumbs up towards Ibara and Ejiro on the other side of the glass watching, Ibara smiling weakly and nervous while Kirishima, also nervous, gave a thumbs up back. "But I'll bet none of those idiots ever had to live with a chestful of shrapnel."
Power Loader smiled, extremely pleased. Given that he could have done this anytime he wanted, Power Loader wondered why Stark didn't do this sooner. He wondered if it was to remember his counterpart, who died for Stark. Power Loader shook his head, realizing that whatever the reason, he was doing so now, and Stark is finally, truly and fully, leaving that cave behind and moving forward.
"And now, neither will I." The last of the shrapnel was removed from his chest, the metal flying up to stick to the electromagnet above. "Let me tell you, that was the best sleep I'd had in years."
All Might smiled, pleased that the boy that was his student is finally going to move on without the danger of shrapnel in his chest. All Might always hated seeing that reactor in Katsuki's chest. It reminded the Symbol of Peace too much about his own situation, with his stomach, a lung long gone, and now shell of his former self. Now, without that shrapnel in his chest, Katsuki Stark can move on to be anything he can be, without any restrictions, and All Might could not wait to see it.
Katsuki placed a silvery necklace around Ibara's neck, a ruby heart in the middle with a diamond teardrop below. The two looked at each other and pressed their foreheads together lovingly.
Again, Izuku did not have to look at Kacchan to read his mind. Nor did Bakugou have to thank Deku when he saw him sketching the necklace out in one of the final pages of the notebook, he wrote in. Izuku chuckled to himself, wondering on what date will Bakugou give this to Ibara. The first one? Their anniversary? Their engagement? Izuku shook his head, realizing there is only room for one Mina Ashido in the world, and he started to feel, as he gazed at her fangirling so cutely over the scene, he wouldn't want to live in any other world without her or the other girls.
In a different hospital bed, his finger twitching, Happy's blinked open, coughing.
The 1-B class cheered and celebrated that Happy was alive and well. Monoma clapped; pleasantly happy his friend was okay.
A nurse came to him to ease him, but Awase shook his head. "No, look." He said and pointed weakly at the TV as it played Downton Abby.
Vlad King smiled, shaking his head fondly at Awase's tastes. As he looked down to see his students relentlessly teasing the blushing boy, including Ibara, he smiled, content, grateful to the powers that be that both of his students, his children in all but blood were okay.
The nurse chuckled and looked to the TV, Happy looked to the nurse, looking down to see if she had her nametag on.
Awase blushed further at the further teasing of his counterpart's nametag obsession, but the bandana-wearing teen just smiled and chuckled with his classmates and friends, simply happy to have such great friends that care for him so much.
Harley got off his school bus and walked to the garage. When he opened the door and walked in, his eyes lit up and smiled. His once ordinary garage was redecorated with a state-of-the-art computer, new shelves, a fridge full of soda, cool new seating chairs, new tools and even a new car. Harley looked around with a goofy in awed smile, from the car to the solar system display overhead, to even a mini-child-like version of DUMMY. On a table full of beakers and tools was a new potato gun with a note reading 'Potato Gun Mark II' and signed by 'Your Pal, The Mechanic'. Harley laughed with childlike wonder.
Mei, who was still gloomy and mad about the suits, eventually smiled upon seeing Harley's smile and look of wonder and awe. Seeing the boy's smile reminded her of when she first took up a wrench and hammer, her first baby, and the rush and sheer joy she felt while doing so. Mei could tell that this boy was going to be great inventor, just like she strives to be.
Finally, Katsuki walked over to the ruins of Stark Manor, looking over the cliff with a small bag. Standing by the ledge of the cliffside, Stark dug into the bag, fishing out his old chest arc reactor, now deactivated and without use. With one last look, the Armored Avenger threw the reactor away, tossing it into the sea.
Katsuki Bakugou smirked and nodded, a part of him still in disbelief that this version of himself changed so much from the asshole he was before the cave, the kind that didn't care for people at all, like Maya, and treated people like dirt without a second thought, like Touya and Izuku, and took what he had for granted, like his Quirk, Kirishima, and Ibara. And now, now he's a changed man, better, stronger, smarter, wiser, born out of crucible of his past mistakes, like Yubi and Stane, Raza and Tsubassa, Kenji and Savin, Whiplash, and Touya, and now a man worthy of the title of Hero.
'Perhaps, we truly aren't so different.' Bakugou thought, remembering his past failures, being saved by Midoriya from the Sludge Villain, getting by Midoriya in the Battle Exercise, winning the Sports Festival without truly earning it, get blinded by his own arrogance and pride in the Final Exams, getting caught by the League of Villains and become the reason that All Might retired, and fail the Licensing Exam.
And now, he got his Provisional Hero License, he's helped make the School Festival a hit for his class, he's worked with a team to beat Class 1-B in the Joint Training Class the fastest, he's interned and trained under both the now Number 3 and Number 1 Hero, he's finally got a Hero name to tell Best Jeanist, he's learned from his mistakes, and he has a mutual rivalry with Midoriya and on his way to apologize to the Deku he used to bully. He's changed so much from the prick he used to be, and now, now he's on his way to earn the heart of someone he believes he loves, not knowing he already does.
Music began building up again as Katsuki Stark turned and walked back where he came from. "So, if I were to wrap this up, tie it with a bow, or whatever," Narrator Stark began again. "I guess I'd say my armor, it was never a distraction, or a hobby." Stark stopped and bent down, picking up a small screwdriver. "It was a cocoon." He smiled. "And now," Katsuki kissed it and stood up. "I'm a changed man."
Melissa smiled, happy for the young boy and confident that this boy will grow up to be an amazing inventor, and perhaps a Hero of his own right. Melissa then thinks about her own quest to become a Quirkless Hero, after giving up on that dream for so long, only for Stark and the rest of the Avengers to help revive it. However, this movie tackled onto her the dangers and reality of her new dream and whether or not she would be ready for it, being simply a Quirkless, powerless girl against super-powered Villains in a metal suit. But, as Stark showed her, it's not the suit that made him a Hero, it was the man, his brains, his wits, his fortitude, his growth, and his friends and loved ones.
So, if Stark could do it, why can't she?
Melissa felt a hand on her shoulder and turned to see it was Izuku, smiling at her, as if knowing just what she was thinking, and telling her, wordlessly, that he will be there for her to support her, in whatever endeavor she chooses to undergo. Melissa smiled back, wanting so desperately take the plunge and admit to this man who won her heart how she feels.
Stark got into his red car and drove, a cart attached to the back with both the pieces of DUMM-E and U.
Mei let out a silent squeal, hopeful that DUMM-E and U will get rebuilt, and all the more invested in making her own.
"You can take away my house, all my tricks and toys." Katsuki Stark said, looking back at the two robotic arms through the back view mirror. "One thing you can't take away..." Stark took off his shades and looked to screen with a smirk, fading to black.
Bakugou smirked, somehow knowing exactly what his counterpart is going to say and mouthed it.
"I am Iron Man."
The Iron Man theme song sprung to life in a thrilling tone as the credits played, the scenes of the three Iron man movies displayed and paused on occasion in red and gold, like a comic book.
Claps and cheers went out from the group.
"That was kinda good." Kirishima admitted. "Really could use a lot more of me, but it was alright."
"Hey, it's called Iron Man not Iron Man and edgy Iron Man." Bakugou retorted, but Kirishima just rolled his eyes.
"So, how would you guys rate this one compared the other two?" Sero asked.
"I'd say this was my 2nd favorite." Kyoka revealed. "Better than the 2nd one, but just not as good as the first one."
"Oh yeah, the first one was just so awesome and Manly!" Tetsutetsu exclaimed.
"Are you sure you guys aren't a tiny bit biased because it was the both the first Iron Man movie and the first one of this whole thing?" Itsuka asked.
"That's a fair point." Izuku nodded, admitting to Itsuka's point. "But I like the first one for how Kacchan changed and grew, it felt more narratively cohesive, and I liked Kacchan's fight against Iron Monger and how similar yet contrasting the two were against each other."
"Oh my god, you're boring everyone to death!" Bakugou interrupted. "And what do you mean more narratively cohesive? You saying my movies aren't as cohesive your 1 movie, Deku?! Are you looking down on me?!"
While Deku explained for his life, Melissa and Mei talked with F.R.I.D.A.Y. about bringing back the holographic blueprints of the suit, to see if they missed any, to which the A.I. agreed. As the credits, continued rolling down, F.R.I.D.A.Y. brought up the blueprints around the two, later three when Midoriya managed to worm his way out of Bakugou's ire, and wrote down anything they missed.
Among the credits, when showing Trevor, the man he shot in one of his announcements was shown getting up and shaking hands with him.
"Oh, look." Ojiro pointed. "I guess Trevor truly didn't kill that guy in his video."
As the final credits began to roll, Stark began to speak again. "You know and thank you by the way. For listening."
"He's not talking to us, is he?" Kaminari asked.
"Don't be stupid." Mineta shook his head. "Maybe it will show us who he was talking to throughout the movie when he was narrating."
"Plus, something about just getting it off my chest, and putting it out there in the atmosphere, instead of holding this in-" Stark continued. "I mean, this what gets people sick, you know."
"Mental health is extremely important for all to have, especially Heroes. If you don't have good mental health, you can get up going or saying crazy shit or acting out like a raging beast." Hound Dog howled out. "So, if you kids have anything you need to get off your chests or have any worries or baggage you need to dump, come to my office or Nezu and schedule an appointment."
Nezu agreed with Hound Dog's words, also reminding himself to speak with the canine Hero about the anger management sessions he should schedule for Bakugou, Midoriya, and Todoroki, the latter perhaps needing it now more than ever given the recent reveal of his older brother as a Villain in this one, his dead older brother no less.
"Wow, I had no idea you were such a good listener." The screen came alive with Stark on a black, recliner couch, his eyes closed as he spoke. "To be able to share all my intimate thoughts and my experiences with someone, it just cuts the weight of it in half."
"You know, it's like a snake swallowing its own tail. Everything comes full circle." The screen paned as Stark was talking to see that the person who he was talking to was Bruce Banner. Who was sleeping.
"Jurota?" Itsuka questioned. "Your counterpart is the one who Stark was talking to?"
"It would appear so" Jurota replied, surprised to find himself as Stark's therapist, believing that given his counterpart's...condition, that he would be a terrible choice.
"And you fell asleep!" Setsuna burst out laughing. "Stark literally bored you to sleep?!"
The students chuckled at that, especially given Bakugou's words towards Midoriya earlier. Bakugou gritted his teeth at the umpteenth jab at him throughout all these movies and tried to keep it in.
Bruce's slack hand dropped his glasses, startling him awake, gasping. "And the fact that you've been able to help me process-" Stark looked over and stopped as Bruce was waking himself up. "Are you with me?"
"S-Sorry...I was, yeah." Bruce lied, rubbing his eyes. "We were at, uh..."
"Are you actively napping?" Katsuki questioned.
"I-I was...I...I drifted." Banner stammered.
"Where did I lose you?" Stark questioned, his eye twitching a bit.
Bruce scratched and rubbed at his shaved beard in thought. "Elevator in Switzerland."
"Oh my god!" Uraraka hugged her sides, Asui having to hold her down her tongue to keep the floating Hero student down. "That was like the beginning of the movie!"
Bakugou gained another tick mark, this time at both Uraraka and the counterpart to his therapist. "You're a horrible therapist, Beast Boy!" Bakugou yelled at the tall, hairy 1-B student.
"My counterpart is a doctor in gamma radiation, not a mental health doctor." Jurota defended his counterpart and himself.
Katsuki blinked his eyes in surprise. "So, you heard none of it." He figured.
"I'm sorry." Dr. Banner apologized. "I'm not that kind of doctor. I'm not a therapist. It's not my training. I don't have the-"
"So? What? The time?" Stark questioned further.
"Temperament." The Incredible Hulk clarified.
"Actually, yeah, come to think of it, you could have made Jurota turn into Hulk out of annoyance, Bakugou." Kaminari snickered. "I wonder what Hulk would have said?"
"Probably something along the lines of roaring in his face." Shoji replied.
"You know what?" Stark rubbed his head. "Now that I think about it...Oh! God, my original wound. 1983, alright?"
"Yes." Bruce groaned out, shaking his head in disbelief, rubbing at his eyes.
"Bakugou, stop torturing the poor man!" Kirishima cried out.
"Shut it, Shitty Hair!" Bakugou replied.
"I'm 14 years old, I still have a nanny." Stark began again, Bruce slumping down, his head thrown back at his agony continuing. "That was weird."
"You had a nanny till you were 14?" Asui questioned. "So, like till two years ago?"
"SHUT UP! NO, I DIDN'T!" Bakugou roared again.
"Too bad." Asui croaked. "That would have explained so much."
Steam shot out of Bakugou fuming head as he was held back again from blasting Froppy to pieces.
The screen turned black, and the video ended.
"Welp, that about wraps things up." Mic brushed his hands together.
"We still have one more movie, Hizashi." Midnight pointed out.
"Oh, really?" Mic asked. "Huh, felt like it's been longer than that."
"Or you just are impatient." Aizawa replied with a diss towards Mic.
Mei scrolled out of the Iron Man 3 folder and looked at the other 15 other movie folders to view, one of them opened up, the one right next to Iron Man 3. When Mei clicked on it, the folder read: Thor the Dark World.
"Oh, it's another Thor movie." Mount Lady said. "Sweet."
"Finally get to see you in action with me and Melissa here." David bumped All Might's shoulder. "And given how the first one was, I bet I have a lot to tease you over."
All Might chuckled nervously, now fearful that he is in for a tidal wave of teases and jokes like Young Bakugou.
"Well, how about we stretch out legs for a few minutes, and then reconvene for the final movie for the day?" Nezu suggested and the group took the offer, almost everyone getting up to stretch their legs and converse with others of the group.
As she was conversing with her friends, Ibara felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned to find it was Bakugou, his hand squirming by his side and his feet tapping showed that the teen was rather nervous.
"Hey, uh, can we talk for a second?" Bakugou asked, politely.
AAAAAANNNNNNDDDDD SCENE! Finally! Iron Man 3 is over! And now, I'm about to subject myself and others to Thor the Dark World...FUCK!
Anyways, don't worry about whatever Bakugou is going to say to Ibara, it isn't anything to worry about. Also, to those who caught it, great job, but to everyone else I added a couple of lines where I had Stark apologize to Touya for leaving him up in the roof and ditching him, sort of as something that I felt the scene needed in the actual movie and something that Bakugou needed for his struggle with Midoriya.
Oh, and Bakugou's little vision there is his memories of the battle with Nine resurfacing for a moment. And before anyone theorizes it, no, he does not One For All still inside him. The scene is meant to show Bakugou realizing more of how Deku thinks and his goal of saving people.
I hope you guys liked how I handled the Iron Legion and Melissa, Mei, and Izuku's frantic writing of all the different suit models, my favorite being Heartbreaker, like Kirishima, and Silver Centurion. Speaking of, do you think Silver Centurion would be a good Hero name for Aoyama, or should he change it to something like Sparkling Centurion or Sparkling Sentinel?
Another couple things I hope I did right was the Ibara fake out death scene and Touya practically coming out as Dabi. The former I felt I might have had too many people reaction's written down, but I felt I needed to write down all of Class 1-B and their horrified reactions to one of their own seemingly dying, as well as the teachers who feel responsible for Ibara, especially Vlad King, the Todoroki's for being sort of related to the man responsible, and of course Bakugou's reaction, who I wanted to have witness his love interest's death in the most opposite Bakugou way possible: silent grieving, just to show how much Ibara has a hold on him that the normally explosive and loud teen would be practically dead inside at her seeming death.
As for Dabi, man, I'm really good holding these chapters off and finishing them till the right time, given the most recent episode of the anime. And yes, I had Touya dance stumbling out of the fire to reference Dabi's Joker-like Dance, which I think they did marvelously. Speaking of which, how many of you guys are starting to feel like the Villains are losing and quickly losing the moral high ground with characters like Toga and Shigaraki? Not that they don't have a reason to become the Villains they are, and that Hero society has Many problems that gave birth to these Villains but its quickly becoming apparent, at least in the manga, that they have at this point lost much sympathy and are more hypocrites, like Toga bemoaning Twice's death and whining about not having the freedom to do what they want, when they are Villains that maim and kill people without any regard or care for their lives and freedom. Honestly, out of all of them, I sympathize with Twice and Dabi the most.
And I hoped you enjoyed the ending with having the characters think and reflect on their pasts, the thoughts that they grappled during the movie, and what they learned. Despite its faults, Iron Man 3 did have a good sendoff of the Iron Man movies and all that Stark has learn and changed, and I wanted that same thing for the group.
Anyways, hoped you like this well-timed Christmas present of a chapter, leave your thoughts in the comments, including your future MCU counterpart predictions and, like Jim Halpert, beer me strength for the coming storm that is Thor the Dark World. Also, check out my stories, here and in AO3, continue to act chill, and stay safe and healthy.
This has been Zayden StormVoid and I will catch you all, likely in the New Year, in the next chapter. Peace!
