Chapter 9
DON'T TAKE IT PERSONAL, YOU KNOW WHO I AM (Know Who I Am, I Am), AIN'T NOTHIN' REVERSIBLE, SO I STAY AS I AM (As I Am, As I Am)!
...Oh, *Ahem* great I'm doing it again. Sorry, the music from Across the Spider-Verse has become ingrained in my brain space. It's too damn catchy! Oh, and that song I was butchering is called Home from Metro Boomin, Don Toliver, and Lil Uzi Vert, to those who didn't know and want this on your Spotify playlist.
Anyways, where was I? Oh yes, last time, we had a late anniversary chapter for this entire story concept where in 3 years I am only just finishing two movies from Phase 2, totaling 7 movies in 3 years...Shit. Regardless, in the actual chapter we had Odin setting up the reveal of his past warmongering ways from Hela, and All Might was taken aback by it, thirst for vengeance and grief drives All Might and Monoma as much as it does Thor and Loki, the latter pair escape prison, Asgard, and bamboozle with Foster and the Aether. Darcy and Ian free David Selvig from the loony bin, all the while Kosei is teased to death by Pony and Setsuna and Melissa cannot escape her father's nudity, and then leading to a fake Loki betrayal, Thor and Loki vs Kurse and Dark Elves while Malekith peaces off with the Aether and Loki's 'death'.
Now, we have the part of the movie that had everyone falling asleep and calling this the worst MCU movie ever, not knowing of the shitstorm that awaited us before Endgame or almost everything that came out after Endgame, with certain exceptions. But first, let us answer some reviews if only to preserve my sanity for a little while longer:
Shadow-Proclamation8: I agree, Spider-Punk was a surprising, welcome addition to the movie, and having him be Hobie Brown, who last I remember was that black guy who didn't get to speak much in Spectacular Spider-Man, before 5 years later actually becoming a variant of Spider-Punk in the comics, was pretty cool and made sense why it wasn't just another Peter Parker variant. And yeah, I liked him almost as much as Indian Spider-Man and Miguel. Actually, Edge of Time is getting a lot of attention mostly on the moral conflict of the ATS-verse and pointing out a similar argument that Peter in that game has with Miguel, saying 'See, Spider-Man wouldn't agree with Miguel's ideology!' and then completely ignoring Insomniac's Spider-Man game where Peter did exactly that, sacrificing Aunt May to save the whole city. But yeah, Shattered Dimensions was the first exposure that Most people had to the concept of the Spider-Verse, and yeah that 1990s series was cool too. I had the idea to do this whole thing with superhero video games as well, mostly the Arkham games, but what you said was part of the reason why I didn't ultimately do that because it would either be repetitive to include all the necessary combat of a video game or be too unsatisfyingly boring if I didn't and that's not even starting on how to make linearly cohesive written storytelling of a video game with side quests and objectives or even if I did add the combat to how much I would have to convey different fight tactics from hand-to-hand combat to stealth mode takedowns.
Black Cross0: Thank you for suggesting that because I almost went through with it. At most, the einherjar scene will only consist of the 'einherjar' coming to Odin and telling him about finding something in Svartalfheim and his menacing look. The only image of a particular cosmic entity that Mei saw was Eternity. I put that in specifically so that I wouldn't do Thor: Love and Thunder because dear Lord, I will not subject myself or anyone else to that movie monstrosity. And I'm only doing a few select movies of Phase 4 that were considered decent to awesome, and those would be Far From Home and No Way Home, Shang Chi perhaps, and maybe even Black Widow, with some much-needed story detail changes, and placing it in the Phase 3 section of this storyline. Again, I'm still wrestling with that idea, because I would have to watch the movie in its entirety just to know what to cut out or change to make it salvageable. As for my thoughts on the Todoroki story, I think it was handled fairly well, I actually expected and even wanted Endeavor to just take Dabi into the stratosphere and blow up with him as an act of sacrifice for his family and have Todoroki be there with his ice powers to shield the residual blast wave, but I suppose how they handled it was alright, still surprised though on how both Dabi and Endeavor are still alive in their respective conditions.
sevillabagus: I wasn't really a fan of Monoma most of the time, he can get rather grating after a while with his rants on 1-A, but when I bothered to look at his character, I found plenty of things that would make for great character development going through these stories and I didn't let any of my personal biases affect that. Sero may not canonically be a big movie buff but he was established when the 1-A students were checking out each other's dorms to be a rather savant when it comes to art and decor, so I just expanded on that to the movie-making arts. As for your concerns about the harem and Izuku possibly attacking the guys out of jealousy, that just isn't in his character. It's one thing for Izuku to plant Mineta into the ground and lashing jealousy at the guys for their counterparts being with the counterparts of the girls. The former is mostly done because Izuku is fully aware that Mineta's acts aren't viewed fondly by the girls, including the ones he likes, and whenever the purple perve does them, despite repeated requests and demands to stop, it makes them feel uncomfortable and violated, something Izuku does not like and tries to get Mineta to stop, and his rising temper and childhood trauma bubbling up to the surface throughout these movies isn't helping him hold back. But the latter is entirely different, Izuku knows Mineta's antics are something the girls don't like, but Izuku does not know fully know whether all the girls he likes like him back, he is still the Midoriya who was traumatized into believing that no girl could ever like a weak useless Deku. He's recently figured out Setsuna likes him and slowly coming to understand his feelings for the girls but he still has some disbelief in him that any of the girls would like him like that, even Uraraka, and he respects their feelings and, hypothetically, if a situation came around where one of the girls he likes ends up going for another guy, Izuku would more likely respect her decision and say nothing, he doesn't own the girls or have any right in who they date or like, even if accepting the outcome meant that his heart would bleed in the process, something that would feel usual given his time in Aldera. So, in short, no, Izuku isn't the kind of person, anger or no, to lash out jealousy for the romantic affiliations of counterparts that are frankly not the people he knows themselves. Again, they may have similarities, some a lot some not, but they are technically entirely different people whose actions don't ultimately define them. Also, just because I focus primarily on certain few characters doesn't mean that the others won't get their shot at some point. Kaminari's counterpart isn't here yet, so there's very little to do with him but trust me, I have already planted the seeds for his development and story. And the physical comedy is mostly done to be comical as advertised, Monoma's being something that happens in canon too, and these people already know each other for almost a year, they know that there isn't true malice or pure hatred in it, and that either it's in good fun or they deserve it. And the girls, mainly Mina, Setsuna, and Hagakure, don't really do anything that would warrant a similar punishment like Mineta, because they don't act like Mineta, their perverted tendencies are laxer and more measured, and even then, Setsuna almost gets whacked a lot by Ibara for being annoying to her.

And finally, I do not own My Hero Academia, property of Horikoshi, hang in there my guy, and finish this story to the best of your ability, and adapted by Bones Studios who better go all out on the last season when Horikoshi finishes it, and especially I do not own the MCU, which belongs to Disney, Marvel, and Sony with a certain few, nor do I take credit for the movies, the credit belonging to the studios who developed and worked on the movie, the actors and actresses that played their parts, and the directors and visionaries that shaped the movie to what it was.
P.S. If anyone of you did not read one of the answered reviews, I am still workshopping whether or not to include Black Widow into Phase 3 of the MCU and have them react to it, likely after Civil War and Doctor Strange. But to do this, it would mean suffering through the movie in its entirety, and I will most assuredly make changes to the story and characters to make it actually good enough to swallow, especially when it comes to Taskmaster. But in case any of you have ideas or suggestions on how to change Black Widow for the better, then like good old Uncle Sam, 'I Want You' to comment on your ideas, they will be Greatly appreciated.
P.P.S. Thanks to KGBeastboy for a certain joke in this chapter. I hope it 'knocks your pants off'' like it did with me.
With all that said, and to quote Han Solo: "Let's blow this thing and go home!"
'Con'vergent Fates
Third POV
The constant, harsh winds of the Dark World blew the black dirt from the top of its mountains. Thor led Inko up the rocky mountainside, shielding her from the constant wave of black dirt the desolate barren land blew upon them.
"Yeah, I can honestly see why they call this place the Dark World," Kaminari nodded. "And not just because of all the black dirt blowing everywhere."
"Still, this is rather unfortunate," Shoji muttered, one of his hands on his chin. "Thor and Foster are now stuck in Svartalfheim without any means of leaving. With Loki's...passing, they can't find a way through the secret Bifrost passages, the Bifrost Bridge is closed and Heimdall is likely arrested so he couldn't open the bridge for them, and Malekith has left with the only feasible transport off the planet."
The two found shelter in a large cave. Inko coughed any of the dirt that found its way into her mouth. Thor walked along, half-heartedly, his shoulders weighed down by grief of the brother he lost, again.
When Shoji began to mention Loki's death, he had one of his arms form an eye to inspect the former Symbol of Peace and, given his state, try to say it as gently as possible.
Toshinori Yagi was practically slumped in his seat, his gaunt eyes hiding that still-burning fury, and, despite Shoji's efforts, his frown only lowered. And what was worse was he didn't know who to hate more: the Dark Elves or himself. They may have killed his mother and his brother, but he left the former to defend Inko, leaving her vulnerable to Malekith and Kurse, as his brother taunted him with minutes ago, and the latter he brought here to save the woman he loved, with his brother dying to save him.
'I abandoned one to her death and led the other straight to it,' All Might thought bitterly. His thoughts only grew worse when he compared it to his own life, too weak to save his Master and powerless to save Nighteye.
"I know that look, Yagi, and I will have to stop you right there," Gran Torino smacked his pupil's knee with his cane. "Don't start down that path again, Toshinori. You were like this after Shimura. That anger and hate did you no good in the end and left you like this. What is that anger going to do against someone from another world and life not your own, or be of any help in this one?"
All Might blinked, casting his thoughts back to when the taller, younger version of the former Pro told him to go to America after his master's death, to save One For All, grow it stronger, and come back to defeat All For One. But then that hate cost him nearly everything. That bastard had made him lose his focus and it ended with a fist gouging out his stomach. He nearly lost his life and ended up on a path that left him like this, and if he did die that day, more than likely All For One would have survived still, and there would not be a One For All to stop him.
That moment of clarity pulled back some of the fog that was his hate from his mind. Torino was right, how pointless it was for him to desire that Dark Elf's head when he could do nothing to get it, he had no means to travel through dimensions, no One For All or other means of power to even obtain his vengeance, and, as pointed out again and again, that wasn't his world, that wasn't his own brother, mother, Inko, or people.
'But then, even if they aren't, they are his,' Toshinori looked back up to see Thor, his counterpart. 'We may have our differences, but he is still me or connected to me at least, and in that, I am connected to them, to his life. Should that not be reason enough for me to care for them as if they were my own? And just because they aren't real in my world, does that mean I shouldn't care for people suffering in someone else's world?'
Gran Torino sighed, seeing that look. "I don't mean to question whether you should feel or care about the people, just that you don't forget that while you can't do anything to help against Malekith, your other you can." Gran Torino brought Toshinori's gaze back to him. "This is Thor's battle to face, his revenge, or justice, or whatever you wish to see it, to obtain. But what you can do about this, that anger you feel about Loki's and Frigga's deaths is to make sure something tragic as their deaths never happens again."
Gran Torino pointed his cane down toward the students, toward Nieto Monoma, his world's version of Loki, and Izuku Midoriya, his successor. All Might immediately knew what he meant.
'I won't. With everything I have left, I will not have such a fate befall one of my students,' All Might declared, banishing away the horrid mental images of Monoma impaled the same as his counterpart. 'And' All Might looked to Midoriya, and thought of Inko alongside him, the two replacing Thor and Odin mourning over his dead body. 'With all that I have, make sure that the ones I care about don't suffer what I have.'
"He's going to unleash it," Inko warned after what felt like hours of silence. "Not just on Asgard, or on a star. Malekith is going to destroy everything."
"How?" Thor asked, worried. "Inko, how?"
"I saw him on Earth," Inko answered, looking confused. "Why would he go to Earth?"
"The Convergence," Thor answered.
"Hmm, it would seem the most optimal place to unleash the Aether," Power Loader hummed. "With all the distortions going on Earth, and Midgard being the center of this Yggdrasil phenomenon, unleashing it there would spread all across all the other Nine Realms, and then from there, spread to the rest of the universe from the Nine Realms like a cancer."
"But then why did he try to unleash it in Svartalfheim at the beginning of the movie?" Honenuki asked. "Why not where Earth was all that time ago?"
"Unsure. Perhaps the Convergence changes where it is strongest after every 5,000-year cycle?" Ectoplasm proposed.
"Nah, remember what Dr. Selvig said, the Nine Realms cycle around Earth, not Svartalfheim," Snipe noted. "Maybe he just wanted to unleash it on Svartalfheim then because he had an army to defend his attempts in a secure location."
"Not so secure if Asgard defeated him last time," Hound Dog pointed out. "Do you think that's why he's heading to Earth? Because it is lesser defended?"
"Who knows what a crazy, half-charcoal-faced psychopath is thinking?!" Miruko snapped them out of their discussions. "Evil elf man has dark magic juice and heading to Earth, plain and simple!"
"Oh God," Inko gasped, guilt riddled in her voice. "None of this would have happened if I hadn't found the Aether."
"Then Malekith would've only possessed it that much sooner," Thor pointed out.
"True, honestly," Mandalay said. "If Foster hadn't found the Aether when it activated, then the Dark Elves would have just tracked it down on their home planet easily, and barely anyone would know about it until it was too late."
Izuku frowned, not exactly happy to hear that this possible turn of events was the better-case scenario, considering the sadness and pain that was caused to All Might by the death of his loved ones, but it at least meant that his own mother's suffering from the parasitic relic wasn't in vain, at least yet.
"I only found it because I was looking for you," Inko shook her head, looking at Thor.
"Inko," Thor placed his hand on her head, trying to bring comfort from this guilt that gnawed at her.
"Like Mother like son," All Might softly scoff at both Midoriyas, from this and this other universe, experts in placing all the guilt on their shoulders.
"Now we're trapped here," Inko said hopelessly.
"Also true," Pixie Bob grumbled. "Without...um, Loki to lead them back through a secret Bifrost passage," Pixie Bob coughed and wearingly checked on All Might and Monoma when mentioning the dead Trickster God. "No spaceship, and with the Bifrost Bridge closed, and Heimdall likely arrested for aiding Thor, they are kind of stuck on the Dark World."
Suddenly, hip-hop music began playing to the two's confusion. "It's not me," Thor shook his head.
Sero's attempt to hold back his chuckle was in a cough. "Sorry, just, that caught me off guard for a second," Sero apologized.
"No, I was almost there with you, bud," Kaminari replied. "Nothing like a sudden hip-hop ringtone to just cut through all the tension and whatnot. Whoever's making that call's got great comedic timing."
"Ringtone? Call?" Izuku blinked before his eyes widened. "Kaminari, you genius!"
"I'm sorry what?" Kaminari tilted his head, looking at the green head like he grew a second head.
"I second that, what?" Jiro looked at her verdant-haired crush with the same, if not more, concerned look.
"Mom's-Foster's phone, her ringtone, meaning that it is receiving a call from somewhere," Izuku began explaining.
"Yes. And?" Kosei gestured for Midoriya to continue.
Melissa's eyes widened too, snapping her fingers. "And that means there is some connection between Svartalfheim and Earth!" Melissa exclaimed. "The Convergence, the portals, there must be one connecting the Dark World with Earth for the phone to be getting a signal!"
"I'm kinda surprised that those two just came up with that from just the ringtone," Ojiro blinked his surprised eyes while staring at Izuku and Melissa hive-fiving each other, with Izuku extending out a thread of Black Whip for a stunned Kaminari to high five.
"I'm more shocked that Midoriya called Kaminari a genius," Sato muttered, likewise in awe at the terrifying power that was Midoriya's analysis, and Melissa's own for how quickly she understood and caught on to said terrifying analysis.
"I'll take what I can get," Kaminari just shook his head, flashing a smile to the two lovable nerds, and basked in the title of 'genius'.
"Are you gonna knock him off his high horse now?" Todoroki asked Jiro.
"Nah, let him have this one, he deserves a bone or two," Jiro shrugged. "If he gets too braggy, I'll just stun him anyways."
Inko immediately took out her phone and answered it. "Hello?" Inko answered.
"Hi, Inko, it's Richard," The man revealed.
"Rich-who now?" Mount Lady perked up an eyebrow, confused.
"That man from the beginning who was on a date with Miss Foster," Kamui reminded. "Before Tsunotori's counterpart 'crashed' their date."
Pony nervously chuckled while rubbing the back of her head.
"Richard?" Inko gasped surprised. "Where are you?"
"I'm still at the office," Back on Earth, the man that was her date, Richard, stood by a copier at his work. "It's been a crazy day here today."
All Might frowned again, this time, thankfully, out of simple light jealousy, his feelings conflicted over an innocent that just so happened to go on a date with the counterpart of the woman he loves. 'Actually, with how much that made me angrier the more I said it, I don't they are that conflicting at all,' All Might thought, pettily.
'So petty,' The teachers deadpanned at the former Symbol of Peace.
"Oh, my God, this is amazing," Inko muttered, looking at her working phone in her hands, waving it around the air.
"Is it?" Richard asked, sounding pleased. "I quite enjoyed our lunch despite never actually ordering anything."
"Okay, I just feel kind of sad for this guy," Mina rubbed her neck awkwardly. "It's not his fault that he just so happened to try and date All Might's boo/Midori's mom."
"Young Ashido, please/Mina, please," All Might and Izuku groaned.
"Wait a moment, hold on a second, weren't you the one that criticized him for being pushy and judgey the last time?!" Mineta pointed out.
"Huh? What are you talking about?" Mina tilted her head, question marks, comically, over her head.
Mineta gasped out indignant noises, prepared to call out the pink-skin girl's hypocrisy until Kaminari stopped him with a hand on his shoulder. "Dude, just let it go, she's gaslighting you."
"And how would you know, Mr. Genius?" Mineta questioned.
Kaminari suddenly caged up and avoided Mineta's questioning gaze. "...Experience," Kaminari muttered, nervously. "Let's just move on."
Mineta narrowed his eyes at his closest friend, pointing at him with an 'I'm watching you,' gesture.
"How am I getting service here?" Inko asked herself out loud.
"Is this a bad time?" Richard asked again. "Do you want me to try later?"
"No, no, no. Please, whatever you do, don't hang up the phone," Inko pleaded, while Thor stood in the back, confused and even jealous.
Richard blinked in surprise. "Okay, then," Richard smiled. "I was just wondering if you want to try again. Uh, maybe dinner next time?"
Ryukyu tried her best to hide her snort of hilarity. "This is actually quite funny," Ryukyu admitted.
"What part? The sad hilarity that that guy thinks he's getting another date with her or Point Break back there fuming with jealousy?"
"I'd say both," Hawks snickered, sneaking a glance at the groaning All Might.
"Uh, yeah, yeah, yeah," Inko said without thinking as she continued trying to figure out what was happening. Thor, meanwhile, narrowed his eyes, jealously. "Just stay on the phone, okay?"
"Yeah, I will," Richard's smile grew wider, an almost smug, pleased look on his face.
"Well, this entertaining," Setsuna snacked on some popcorn at the comedy.
"Honestly, I just feel horribly awkward," Awase squirmed lightly.
"And that's what makes it funny," Setsuna stated as if it were obvious.
"Oh, my God," Inko gasped softly, looking down to find an empty soda can. She looked around further and found Darcy's keys on the ground next to it.
"Ooh! It's Pony's keys!" Kinoko pointed out. "I mean, Darcy's keys. The ones that were tossed into the portal!"
"Oh, yeah! The ones that Tsuburaba's counterpart stupidly tossed!" Pony cheered.
"Yeah-Hey!" Kosei yelled, offended.
"Regardless, that is also the soda can that Miss Foster tossed when she tested the anomaly out," Jurota interrupted. "That means that the portals connecting the abandoned complex were to Svartalfheim, and therefore-"
"If they can find an anomaly there, they can get back to Earth!" Momo finished for the beastly 1-B student.
"Huh, convenient," Kamakiri shrugged.
"Am I interrupting something?" Richard asked a third time.
"No, no, no. Nothing at all," Inko lied. Looking at Thor, she beckoned him to follow her. "Come on."
"You know, out of context, with what he is hearing, doesn't it sound like one of those having...you know, while they are on the phone..." Mineta tried to discreetly whisper to the Kaminari and Sero.
He was not quiet enough for Bakugou not to hear. Mineta shuddered as Bakugou's shadow was over him, looking up at his glaring eyes. "You know, for saying That Shit about my Auntie, you deserve this!" Bakugou smacked Mineta upside the head, the grape-head teen's head bobbing back and forth like a bobblehead.
"Fair enough," Mineta said after his head slowed down a bit.
"I'm losing you there. Are you in a tunnel?" Richard's voice grew more static sounding.
As Inko and Thor walked closer inside the cave, Thor looked around confused. "What-Where are we going? Why are there so many shoes in here?" True to his question, the cave was littered with shoes and other random things, like a soccer ball.
"Must have been all the stuff those kids from before tossed down there," Ragdoll mentioned.
Suddenly, the two walked into a suddenly appearing blue portal and vanished.
"And they found one!" Eri clapped, cheerfully.
Richard looked as the call cut out, confused. "I'll just text her," Richard muttered, getting back to work.
"A drink, boys, for another broken heart," Kirishima raised a soda in the air for the poor man before downing it, his example followed by Tetsutetsu and most of the guys. Notable instances of those who didn't include Bakugou, who felt by the stare and the tightening vine hair on his wrist to not follow along, Izuku, who just nervously passed the drink to Kouta under the stares of 10 certain girls, and All Might, who looked more likely to pour the drink to the ground or crush the soda than for Richard.
Thor and Inko walked out of the other end of the portal, finding themselves at the parking lot of the abandoned complex. The two walked towards Darcy's red car, the windows all shattered, and spray paint on the side.
"Wait, wasn't that portal the one that the kids tossed stuff into?" Hagakure questioned. "So, then how come it didn't spit them out there and not outside?"
"Likely the anomalies are just simply inconsistent given their instability," Momo responded.
"In other words, random portals, random nearby locations," Asui croaked.
After a few sputtering noises from the engine, Inko started the car, Thor getting on the passenger's side. "So, who's Richard?" Thor asked.
"Really?" Inko raised an eyebrow at the god as she backed the car out.
"Really, Toshinori?" Midnight raised an amused eyebrow at the former Pro. "Your counterpart looks like you in your prime and you feel intimidated?"
"My counterpart also abandoned her for two years without any saying, so forgive my other self if he was unsure of what happened in his absence," All Might defended himself.
Driving through London, Inko and Thor walked into her house, finding Darcy, David, and Ian inside. Darcy noticed them immediately and went to them.
"Inko!" She exclaimed, Inko replying with a 'Hey'. "You can't just leave like that. The whole world is going crazy." While Darcy whined, Thor looked to the coat rack, hanging Mjolnir on it by its strap. "Did you go to a party?" Darcy suddenly realized Inko's Asgardian robes. Ian got up as he noticed the Asgardian god that just hung his planet-destroying hammer on the coat rack.
"Huh, I suppose the coat hanger is worthy?" Sen questioned.
"Well, it's an inanimate object, it doesn't count," Awase replied.
"Okay, so what if a robot were to pick it up," Rin asked.
"Still wouldn't count," Sen shook his head.
"No, no, it may be made of metal, but depending on the A.I. or intelligence or whatever, it would be like a person and so would be considered whether it would be worthy to lift it," Awase argued.
"That's like saying if putting the hammer in an elevator would make it go up," Sen argued back.
"No, that's completely different," Shoda shook his head, joining the argument.
While the 1-B boys argued over such a topic- and were eventually yelled to stop by Vlad King -Ojiro sneezed.
"You sick, dude?" Kirishima asked.
"No, no, just dust or allergies, I guess," Ojiro excused, unsure himself where the urge came from.
"David," Inko noticed the formerly detained scientist.
"Inko! How wonderful," David finally noticed her and got up from his work, wrapping her in a hug. "You've been to Asgard..."
"Where are your pants?" Inko asked after they broke their hug, David Selvig, true to her question, wearing only a dress shirt, underwear, and nothing else.
"Bleuh!" Kouta gagged, covering his own eyes this time, while the students laughed.
"Oh, he, uh...He says it helps him think," Ian answered for David, adding in a quiet "Unfortunately."
"I'm surprised you aren't shouting 'Oh, come on,' or something, Melissa," Uraraka looked at the unfazed blonde.
"Believe it or not, this isn't the first time I've walked into my dad without his pants on while he works," Melissa shook her head. "Says the same thing. Helps him think better."
"I thought you got over that?" All Might asked the inventor, while he blocked Eri's sight.
"I-I don't want to talk about it," David muttered, hiding under his arms from the sheer embarrassment this movie has done to him.
Meanwhile, a silent, contemplating Mei suddenly perked up, a comical lightbulb over her head. "I got it! That's Why You Don't Wear a Shirt!" Mei declared, pointing toward Power Loader.
"What?" Power Loader didn't know what he was more confused about, Mei's sudden, inane declaration, or how this girl keeps finding ways to confuse him further. He did though look down and notice his bare torso out on display.
"That's Why You Don't Wear a Shirt! Because it Helps You Think Better! Same with Mr. Shield and pants!" Mei continued her declaration. "I wonder if it will help with my own inventions. Melissa, quick! Take your shirt off and let's see what happens!"
While the entirety of the room's female population practically tackled Mei before she could take off her black tank top, all except Melissa who was too busy blushing up a storm and hiding her large chest under her arms, Izuku's head steamed from his red-hot face. The guys barely got to see anything, mostly because those near Mei turned away respectfully or were too high up or far away to see, but Izuku was caught off-guard and just barely got to see Mei's waist with her impressive abs from her all her work.
The results of this slight peek at more of Mei and the sudden idea of both of the busty inventors without clothing to hide their 'assets', caused something of a nuclear meltdown to occur in Midoriya's brain.
Inside Midoriya's mind...
"WARNING! WARNING! WARNING!" Alarms flared as mini-Dekus ran around, like chickens with their heads caught off, screaming and flailing their arms in a panic. Fires were sprouting from malfunctioning machinery that some of the mini-Dekus tried to put out.
Up in the main control room of the Izuku Midoriya Central Brain Command, five differently colored Dekus struggled to keep things together.
"He's Breaking Loose!" A skinny purple Deku, clothed in his Aldera uniform, wailed while running around.
"FEAR!" A red Deku, dress in a version of Midoriya's suit during his mission against Humarize, grabbed the purple Deku and slapped him silly. "PULL! YOURSELF! TOGETHER!"
"Uh, Angry, I don't think that's really necessary," A yellow-glowing Izuku, wearing the real Izuku's current version of his Hero suit, tried to calm his angry counterpart.
"Leave him be, focus on containment, Happy," A green Izuku, wearing a U.A. uniform, but with added glasses and a doctor's coat, spoke up and focused on typing buttons and commands. "Team 5! Secure the barricades! Team 4! Restore the inhibitors! Sadness! Keep trying to reboot the main system!"
"O-Okay...if t-that's what you w-want, B-Brainy," A tiny blue Izuku, reminiscent of 4-year-old Izuku, wearing an All Might onesie, whimpered out while trying to continuously flip a giant sparking switch tied to a bunch of machines, labeled 'Main Consciousness'.
"Uh, Brainy, it's getting loose," Happy Deku warned, pointing to a screen, showing an army of miniature Dekus trying to barricade a large metal door, one that was continuously getting pounded on from the other side. The label on the door read: Love/Lust.
"Huh, I suppose that this is what 16 years of romantic and sexual lust and repression are held back looks like," Brainy Deku muttered, pulling out a notebook from nowhere and began writing down in it. "Combining the constant teasing and bullying from Katsuki Bakugou that we will never obtain a mate mixed with the traumatic events of the White Day Incident and the romantic feelings and desire for the girls, must have caused this imbalance of romantic and sexual drive that recent events have started to fully awaken and-"
"Enough with the analysis, Brainy!" Angry Deku snapped and tossed Fear Deku away. "And Fear! Do something useful and wipe that image from the mental memory archives! It's bugging the system and riling the urges up!" Fear Deku saluted fearfully and quickly tried to wipe away the image of a naked Hatsume and Melissa covered in oil stains.
"You ever notice that Angry Deku sounds a lot like Bakugou if he were Gilbert Gottfried? May he rest in peace," Happy Deku muttered.
"Focus Happy!" Angry Deku snapped again. "Urgh! Just Go and Help Sadness Reboot the Main System!"
"Sorry!" Sadness Deku cried out.
"Urgh! I thought we had it planned to have those feelings only accessed slowly," Angry Deku complained as he continuously ordered other mini-Dekus to other tasks.
"Well, next time, don't let Happy get full reign over the mental imager to try to 'speed things up' for our happiness," Brainy Deku said in air quotes.
"Hey! I was busy with containing the Dark Thoughts, I had Fear watch out for Happy," Angry Deku responded.
"She was too excited! It was so scary!" Fear Deku whined.
While the emotions struggled to maintain order, Happy and Sadness were finally able to flip the switch and reboot the main system. All the while, this artistic representation happening inside Midoriya's head was all watched over by 8 multi-colored shadowy individuals, all watching the scene with either humorous amusement or annoyance.
Back in the real world...
Izuku snapped out of his mental shutdown, suppressing whatever imagery was causing his mind to go haywire. The green-haired teen spotted Mineta trying his best to sneak behind Melissa. Most of the girls were too busy tying Mei down from taking off her shirt and putting more clothes on her, not necessarily in that order, and explaining to her that taking off her shirt was not okay. With this distraction, Mineta thought it wouldn't hurt to follow Mei's instructions and see if he can help Melissa 'think clearer'.
The result was, of course, Mineta getting grabbed by an angry Izuku and planted into the ground. Everyone was either too busy or was aware of Mineta's antics to care about the grape-headed pervert now in a Mineta-shaped hole in the ground.
After what seemed like half an hour of getting things back to normal, and excavating Mineta from the earth, the video continued.
"Okay, well, I'm going to need everything you got on this," Inko moved on and asked. "All the work you've been doing on gravimetric anomalies, everything."
"Okay," David nodded. Inko nodded back and went to her room for a change of clothes.
"Are you well, David?" Thor asked, looking up and down the somewhat loopy, half-naked man.
"No, no he does not look well," Pixie Bob shook her head, covering half her vision so she couldn't see the half-naked man's undies.
David laughed and greeted Thor with wide arms. "Your brother is not coming, is he?" David asked, suddenly worried.
Whatever humor cheered All Might up before ended rather quickly with his brother's mention.
Thor frowned, sadly. "Loki is dead." He revealed.
"Oh, thank God!" David gasped out.
"Daddy!" Melissa exclaimed, appalled by her father's choice of words.
"I-I-I'm s-so so sorry, Toshi! I-I-I didn't mean...well you know I uh-" David stuttered out in a panic, a huge well of shame eating up at him.
"I-It's okay, David, truly," All Might calmed his friend down. "I know of what Loki had done to your counterpart and his feelings towards him. You don't have anything to apologize for your other self or his feelings regarding Loki. I'm sure that he didn't mean to upset Thor."
Thor blinked, narrowing his eyes. "I-I meant, I'm so sorry." David apologized.
"See?" All Might gestured to the screen.
David sighed, relieved that his troubled counterpart didn't make things worse for his friend and his turmoiled feelings.
"Thank you," Thor accepted, brushing off David's cheer easily. The two hugged, with David trying his best to hide his smile.
The group couldn't help a few members cracking some smiles and giggles at Selvig's antics. Another look of reassurance from his best friend was enough to pacify David before he went into another apology spree.
Now on Asgard, Odin looked at the remnants of his throne. An Einherjar walked up behind him. "Forgive me, my liege," The soldier announced his presence. "I've returned from the Dark World with news."
"Odin sent an Einherjar to Svartalfheim?" Uraraka questioned.
"Thor did tell Odin his plan to take Miss Foster there for Malekith to remove the Aether from her," Melissa replied. "It would make sense to send a scout to confirm if they are on Svartalfheim or not."
Odin turned his head to address him. "Thor?" He asked.
The Einherjar shook his head. "There was no sign of Thor or the weapon, but..." The soldier stopped, stepping closer toward Odin, yet hesitant to speak further.
"Oh..." Hagakure sobered. "They found Loki's body."
"Yikes," Jiro cringed, bringing her voice to a whisper. "Just what a man grieving for his wife needs to hear."
"Better to tell him now, at least so he doesn't go mad worrying it might be Thor's dead body instead," Momo whispered back.
Odin turned to him fully, frowning at the grave silence the man came with. "What?"
The Einherjar stopped and revealed the sad news. "We found a body."
Odin's one eye moved as he deciphered the news. The Einherjar lowered his head.
Monoma blinked his eyes before they narrowed in confusion. 'Just now, did that einherjar look...disappointed?' Monoma thought to himself, not confident enough in his assurance to speak it out loud, but he couldn't help but find that look of emotion rather familiar.
Odin's eye lit up, darting up toward the soldier. "Loki." Odin realized.
The man raised his gaze back up at Odin, the corners of his mouth itching to rise.
Izuku frowned, something feeling incredibly off about what just happened. The way the man's mouth seemed to rise in what looked like the beginnings of a sinister smile, the slow, ominous raising of his gaze towards the King of Asgard, it all felt suspicious, wrong. The last time he felt something like this was back in the 1st task of the Provisional Licensing Exam, the same eerie feeling he felt when he realized the Ochaco he rescued was an imposter. How the Ochaco he smacked the ball off her hands melted away to reveal Camie Utsushimi from Skiketsu, only to find out later that it was, in fact, not even Camie, but Himiko Toga of the League.
A theory popped into his head, but it felt so wild and earth-shattering, that, even though it was likely possible, Izuku struggled with whether to keep it to himself or not. On one hand, if he was right, then he could bring some relief and joy back to All Might, but on the other, it was still so soon and raw in everyone's minds that bringing it up and ending up wrong could open All Might to a whole new level of pain from a shattering hope.
And on the other hand, he could end up getting yelled at again for keeping something so important like when he didn't share with the class, especially Setsuna, about how Izuku Rogers had survived his plunge into the ice.
'Maybe it's best that I just don't bring it up at all,' Izuku concluded.
Yet despite the verdant-haired teen's decision, he wasn't the only one to come to the same theory; though, thankfully, the rodent Principal of U.A. also decided it was best to keep mum about it.
Back at Inko's home, Thor, Inko, David, Darcy, and Ian gathered around a table full of reports, findings, and screens full of data. "Malekith is going to fire the Aether at a spot where all the nine words are connecting," Inko informed.
"Amplifying the weapon's impact," David discerned, gravely. "For each additional world, the power will increase exponentially. The effect would be universal."
"So, if Malekith fires the Aether at that spot, it will cover the entire universe," Nejire said.
"Not only would the Aether's effects grow more powerful with every one of the nine worlds, maybe even more if you count the other minor worlds like Nornheim, but from what Thor 1 stated, Asgard is clearly at a different part of the galaxy, heck maybe even in another galaxy," Mirio noted. "If that is the case for Asgard, then it must be the same with the other realms, and if the Aether would be unleashed on all of them, then it would spread farther and faster throughout the rest of the known universe easily."
"Like a series of satellites blanketing its signal across the planet," Tamaki helpfully compared.
"Yes, but the Alignment is only temporary," Thor noted. "He must be in exactly the right place at the right time."
"Well, how do we know where that is?" Darcy asked.
"We follow the directions," David said, getting up, the rest following him. "This has happened before, thousands of years ago, and the Ancients were there to see it." David grabbed a rolled-up map from another table, sweeping off the contents of another, and unrolled the map onto it. "All the great constructions. The Mayans, the Chinese, the Egyptians. They made use of the gravitational effects of the Convergence."
"I'm sorry, I feel like we just jumped the shark going from evil emo elves to ancient Mayans and what not predicting a thousands-year-old alignment," Mina exclaimed, throwing her hands up in exaggeration.
"Could this be related to the Mayan prophecy of the world's end around 2012?" Jurota asked.
"Well, the events here supposedly took place around the same time as Iron Man 3, so perhaps," F.R.I.D.A.Y. pointed out.
"Huh, guess that explains why Thunderdunce didn't bother coming to help me fight that glowworm bastard," Bakugou scoffed.
"'Suki, don't be mean to All Might," Ibara chastised him, tightening slightly her strand of vine hair around Bakugou's wrist.
The counterpart to Iron Man blushed and grumbled what the students could barely make out as a "Fine."
"Can we trade you for Mineta or Kaminari?" Mina asked/begged Ibara.
"HEY!" Bakugou, Mineta, and Kaminari simultaneously exclaimed.
"Back off, Pinky," Setsuna chuckled, wrapping Ibara into a hug. "There's no way you're taking our sweet, innocent Shio!"
"Tokage, stop!" Ibara whined, her cheeks burning red as Setsuna playfully rubbed them with her own.
"And they left us a map," David continued revealing, marking down various locations around the British Isles. "Stonehenge." David began drawing up lines across the map. "The Great Orme. These are all coordinates taking us..." David drew up the last line. "Here." He pointed at the spot where all the lines intersected: Greenwich.
"Greenwich?" Ian said the name, confused at such a specific location.
"Is that in London or something?" Kosei scratched at his head.
"It's a borough in London, yes," David answered, remembering a conference in London that ended early and spending some time touring the nearby park. "It's right along the banks of the River Thames. Has quite a lovely park, museum, and observatory."
"Guess the fate of the universe is going to come down on a park in London," Rin shrugged.
"As opposed to the mystical robot fight between Thor and the Destroyer in a small town in New Mexico," Awase pointed out.
"Or the climax of Iron Man 3 being in a shipyard in Florida," Sen jumped in.
"Okay, okay, I get it," Rin surrendered.
"It makes sense that it would be Greenwich of all places, actually," Melissa spoke up. "In the historic Prime Meridian of the World, the line in Greenwich is where the Longitude is at 0 degrees. It's where the line divides the eastern and western hemispheres."
"Fitting that the focal point of this alignment between worlds would be located at the very middle of our two hemispheres," Iida agreed.
"The walls between worlds will be almost non-existent," Inko began explaining. "Physics is going to go ballistic. Increases and decreases in gravity, spatial extrusions. The very fabric of Reality is going to be torn apart."
Mjolnir flew off the coat rack, accidentally taking the coat rack off with it, and landed in Thor's hand, thunder rumbling in the distance.
"Was that really necessary, Yagi? Or did you just want to look so dramatic?" Midnight raised an eyebrow and smirked at All Might.
The former Number 1 pro, crossed his arms and kept his chin up, trying to look as unfazed and stoic as he could. "It looked cool though, right?"
"I better get my pants," David muttered.
"Yes, please do, Dad," Melissa shook her head, cracking a smile. Hearing the sounds of struggling had Melissa turn to see the pink-haired Support Course student struggling from her limbs bound to her seat. They even had to muzzle Hatsume to keep her from sprouting any more nonsense about removing her clothes, or even biting her way out of her shirt and bonds.
Mineta had a kinky tied-up sex joke on the tip of his tongue, but after he discovered how it feels being 6 feet in the ground, he decided to swallow it back down.
Now, in the early morning cloudy day in Greenwich, the scientists and their interns walked into the middle of a public square. "Focus! This is important," Darcy ordered at Ian as he unloaded the gravimetric spikes off the trunk of their car. "We have to hammer them in all around the site and then Inko and David will activate them from the tower."
"So, those spikes are going to stabilize the point of the Convergence?" Honenuki asked.
"Dr. Selvig said that without them, the other worlds could end up colliding with our world and be cataclysmic," Shoda answered. "The gravimetric spikes are supposed to allow the other worlds to pass right by Earth without any incident."
"Any perchance possibility it could stop Malekith too?" Bondo asked further.
"Wouldn't count on it," Kamakiri shrugged.
"They're taped together," Ian pointed out, the gravimetric spikes beginning to beep.
"Do you even know what these things do?" Darcy questioned him.
"Uh, no," Ian replied.
"Neither do I," Pony admitted.
"At least idiots like us stick together huh, Pony?" Kosei chuckled.
"I guess," Pony stuck her tongue out cutely and lightly bumped her noggin.
'Cute.' Todoroki thought as he saw her do that. The red-and-white-haired teen decided he might need to talk with Camie about this predicament.
Inko and David walked into the halls of one of the four buildings surrounding the square, Inko's shoes squeaking audibly, to the annoyance and shushing of one lady.
"Urgh, don't you just hate when your shoes make such audible noises at the library?" Momo groaned, recalling how embarrassing it felt to have her heels clink and clop so loudly.
"I'm more annoyed with those stuck-up, obnoxious ladies that listen to every little sound you make," Kyoka rolled her eyes at her particular memory of such an occurrence.
"I'm more so surprised that there are still such things as libraries today," Mina joked.
Aizawa sighed/groaned, finding little wonder why the pinkette was the 2nd lowest in his academic class.
"Come on! Come on! Come on!" Darcy yelled at Ian as they ran toward one end of the site.
"Right!" Ian snapped back, sticking and hammering the spike into the ground.
On the river, the faint shape of the bottom of Malekith's flagship touched down on the water of the river. The civilians noticed the rushing and disturbance of the river, screaming and running for their lives from the ever-encroaching invisible mass.
"Beep! Beep! Loser weirdo elf guys are here!" Kouta pointed out.
"At least the disturbance is enough for the civilians to flee from the scene," Tiger sighed. "I'd imagine any showdown between Thor and Malekith's forces will be quite the hassle on his own without having to focus on safeguarding the civilians."
Darcy and Ian turned to face the disturbance just as Malekith's ship became fully visible. "Holy..." Darcy began.
"Shit!" Ian finished her curse, leading Darcy away and running from the ship as its tip crashed through the shore and onto land, caving through concrete, earth, and structure in its path.
"Aww, they are finishing each other's sentences," Setsuna snickered.
"Is that really what you should be concerned about, and not the malicious elves intending to drown the universe in darkness?" Ibara stared incredulously at Setsuna.
Todoroki grumbled silently, crossing his arms in a huff.
While civilians ran, the ship stopped before the center of the square, looming menacingly like a dagger in the heart of Greenwich.
"Such a beautiful and significant place, ruined," David grumbled, upset to see the park get plowed through by Malekith's ship.
The ship opened up, Malekith and his Dark Elves walking down the formed ramp, the Dark Elf's unburnt white half of his face almost darkened in the light.
If the Malekith's half-scarred face disturbed the group into seeing more of Kurogiri in the Dark Elf, the Dark Elf Leader's appearance all but made the comparison clear, besides obviously having the Dark Elf be made of black and purple mist.
Aizawa, Mic, and Midnight all flinched at seeing such a look, any semblance of Shirakumo that their minds plastered onto his face was now gone and replaced by Kurogiri. Midnight held back a sob and steeled herself, Mic, for his part, held back a loud grumble while his fists clenched tightly, and Aizawa was thankful to have Eri back in his lap to calm the storming fury welling up in his core.
Malekith looked up to see a portal to another Realm form out of the sky.
"It's like those portals from the beginning of the video!" Ragdoll pointed out.
"The Convergence," Hawks muttered, wondering just what his counterpart was seeing right now with his vast gaze.
The sound of thunder had Malekith turn swiftly in time to spot Thor landing before him, the pavement cracking at his landing, the God of Thunder standing ready to face him.
Toshinori's skinny knuckles cracked under the strength behind his clenching, the blue of his eyes practically glowing through his sunken eyes.
"You needn't have come so far, Asgardian," Malekith's voice boomed out, making his way toward Thor. "Death would've come to you soon enough.
"Not by your hand," Thor replied, walking toward him, as well.
"Your universe was never meant to be," Malekith and Thor stood at opposite ends of the center square. "Your world and your family will be extinguished!"
The Aether formed around Malekith's body. At the Dark Elf's thrust, blasts of bloody red and dark wispy energy blasted out of him. Thor raised his hammer, sparking with lightning, to defend himself, knocked back upon contact with the attack.
"So, this is the kind of power of the Aether," Izuku began writing in his notes. "When used intentionally, at least."
"It is almost like a projectile version of your Quirk, Tokoyami," Shoji pointed out.
"Revelry in the Dark, indeed," Tokoyami muttered, glaring at the Dark Elf for the use of such power for nefarious purposes.
"This could prove a more difficult battle for Thor to handle," Ryukyu analyzed. "While Mjolnir can be tossed and can fire bolts of lightning, Thor is more effective up close."
"And with Scarface there firing those dark wisps or whatever, he can hold Thor back from long-range," Miruko nodded. "And if Thor could fire a lightning blast, I bet that son of a bitch can just conjure up some shield made of that stuff to protect himself."
"We're running out of time," David warned, he and Inko hiding on the top of their building.
"Almost there," Inko replied, tapping and turning buttons and switches in the device in her hands.
"Are you sure this is going to work?" David asked her, unsure. The console created a blue 3D mapping of the area around the spikes. "These devices were made to detect anomalies, not cause them."
"Cause anomalies?" Jurota repeated, confused, yet curious.
"Argh, come on!" Inko groaned, waiting for the device to work. She looked outside to see what was happening with Thor.
The God of Thunder stood back up, barely able to raise his hammer in defense again as Malekith blasted him back with another burst of energy from the Aether.
"He's striking at him with so many spires in so many angles that it's almost impossible for Thor to block them with his smaller weapon," Edgeshot noted.
"Unless he, oh I don't know, spins that magic hammer around in front of him," Hawks suggested, mimicking how the God of Thunder spins Mjolnir. "I'd imagine that would be a good defensive tactic, right?"
Inko hissed in impatience. "Come on, Darcy," Inko muttered, racing back down the building while David followed her.
Thor got up again and Malekith advanced firing another volley of Darkness. Thor braced himself and readied Mjolnir in defense, his feet digging through the dirt as he was forced back.
"Good," Endeavor nodded in approval. "He kept himself at a low angle for there to be little room from where Malekith could strike at him vulnerably and allow him to block with Mjolnir more effectively while bracing his feet against the earth to cushion him."
Malekith stopped the attack yet still advanced slowly on the recovering Asgardian. "You know, with all that power, I thought you'd hit harder," Thor mocked, wiping away the blood from his mouth.
Malekith drew more power from the Aether, the almost black energy coalescing in front of him for a more powerful attack. Taking the shot, Thor tossed Mjolnir straight at him, the hammer bursting through the formed energy and onto Malekith, sending the Dark Elf flying back and through the Dark Elves behind him. Malekith skidded off the ground, then crashed through a pillar and onto the side of a car.
"HA! TAKE THAT YOU POINTY-EARED FUCK!" Bakugou mocked. "FELL FOR THE OLDEST TRICK IN THE BOOK!"
"Thor's mocking had Malekith attempt to gather a stronger amount of energy to strike at Thor, but with how slow it took, it left an opening for Thor to strike back," Izuku smiled as he wrote down the tactic, finding similar to All Might's boasting that had a similar effect on Villains. "And since a lightning blast would probably not have been as effective, tossing Mjolnir onto him was perfect for breaking through the energy and blasting Malekith far."
"STOP OVERANALYZING THE OBVIOUS, YOU SHITTY NERD!" Bakugou snapped at Deku.
While Ibara found the regular dynamic between Katsuki and Midoriya at this point fond and a symbol of their rivalry, she recalled Bakugou's words from before, his bullying past, and how familiar the two were with each other.
'Weren't Bakugou and Midoriya from the same middle school?' Ibara questioned to herself, racking her brain for the information she knew she had.
Thor spun his hammer and leaped over the Dark Elves after him, landing a few yards away from Malekith, and slamming his hammer into the ground. Bolts of electricity surged along the ground and at Malekith, the Dark Elf tanking and even absorbing the lightning.
"Did he just absorb the lightning?!" Mineta exclaimed in fright.
"Looked more like he tanked it, but with some reality-screwing liquidy shit on him, how would I know?" Kaminari shrugged.
Ian hammered in another spike, flipping a switch and activating it. "Done," He said.
"Finally," Setsuna sighed.
"Hey, other me is just some regular Joe Schmo, not Ingenium!" Kosei defended himself. "And I don't see Ms. Bossy Horns helping!"
"B-But my counterpart is just a regular lady and I'm not as physically strong as a guy," Pony cutely pouted, fiddling with her fingers.
Kosei's forehead veins twitched. 'Damn double standards!'
Darcy looked up toward Inko, as she peeked out another balcony, and gave a thumbs up, the astrophysicist nodding and racing back down again.
Over the square, another portal formed right above them, while the other moved slowly to align above it. David noticed and said, "The Convergence will be in full effect in seven minutes."
Inko joined at his side and looked at the console in her hand. "That just means we have to keep Malekith busy for eight," She replied. The console showed the gravimetric spikes flashing and beeping at their activation.
The inventors of the group watched with bated breath at just what the scientists were planning to do with the gravimetric spikes, slightly confused that their stated purpose was to stabilize the focal point of the Convergence.
'But then, what did Dr. Selvig say about causing anomalies?' Power Loader thought.
Darcy and Ian ran up and hid behind a corner, a phone in Darcy's hands.
"Okay, you might want to hold on to something," Inko warned. David hugged the pillar. Inko grabbed the big switch and turned it. The gravimetric spike in the middle of the group of Dark Elves began beeping and flashing rapidly. A pulse of blue energy surged out, enveloping and teleporting the Dark Elves near it away.
"Whoa! She teleported them away!" Eri clapped.
"B-But h-how?!" Melissa stared gobsmacked. "Did they manage to reverse engineer the gravimetric spikes to emit and send out the same energy readings as the anomalies from the complex?!"
Mei struggled like a wild animal in her binds, her screams of desperation still muffled.
"That is awesome!" Darcy exclaimed, she and Ian smiling at the awesome sight. "How did you do that?"
"Well, the gravitational fields interact with the weak spots between worlds, creating-"
"Ooh, get the guy with the sword!" Darcy cut Inko's scientific explanation.
"Pony!" Momo exclaimed, her excited curiosity falling into a disappointed frown. "Don't interrupt! She was just explaining what-"
"No offense, Yaomomo, but remember that they have 8 minutes to keep Malekith and those Dark Elves distracted?" Itsuka reminded Class 1-A's Deputy rep. "I think they should use that time displacing them than explaining."
Momo blushed embarrassed. "You're right," Momo pouted.
"Don't be so disappointed, Momo," F.R.I.D.A.Y. spoke. "I could tell you all about the mechanics of the spikes later."
While Momo and the more intellectual of the group perked up, excited and pleased, Nezu hummed to himself, scratching at his chin. 'Perhaps if we can harness a similar technology...' Nezu's mind ventured to all the possible avenues for the gravimetric spikes and how they can repurpose them. Detecting teleportation-based Quirks, disrupting or mimicking them to use their Quirks against them, or to effectively trap said Quirks. Even Kurogiri's Warp Gates must contain some kind of signature that they could scan, store, and use or cancel.
'And while Kurogiri is trapped behind bars in Tartaros, extra precautions wouldn't hurt,' Nezu continued his train of thought. 'And Kurogiri's Warp Gates are not the only means the League has in terms of teleportation.' Nezu recalled the footage of the Kamino Ward raid, and the grey sludge Quirk All For One used to teleport in and out the League and the Nomus.
Inko turned the lever again. However, the blue wave flew over and transported Darcy and Ian away instead of the Dark Elves. "Oops," Inko cringed at her mistake.
"D-Did Midoriya's Mom just Houdini us?!" Kosei exclaimed, grasping his head in a panic.
"Oh, poop," Pony pouted.
"Let us hope that they weren't displaced to another realm," Reiko pointed out.
"Oh, God," Setsuna let out a mix between a nervous chuckle and an uneasy whimper.
"Let's go," David whispered.
Darcy and Ian reappeared with some crashed cars by the site. "Um...What the hell just happened?" Darcy questioned, looking around them confused.
"Okay, phew, it looks like they were just displaced to someone still in London," Itsuka sighed.
A couple of Dark Elves suddenly fell on top of the car next to them. Ian let out a high pitch scream, the two backing away at the sudden arrival.
"Oh shit! They got warped where the Dark Elves got warped to!" Tetsutetsu exclaimed.
"Move!" Darcy yelled, leading Ian and herself away as the Dark Elves gave chase to them.
Todoroki's mouth opened enough to see his clenched teeth in a worried frown, his hands clenching nervously at his arms.
Malekith fired another wave of the Aether at Thor, the Avenger sliding under and dodging the spires of Darkness. Thor got up quickly and jabbed Mjolnir at Malekith's chest, Malekith flew back into a freshly opened portal from a spike. Thor made to rush at the portal after him, but as reached it, the Dark Elf flew back out and slammed him away, Thor tumbling and rolling onto a car.
"I don't believe that you should be warned about being extra careful against an opponent you can't see coming, All Might?" Nezu pointed out.
"Fair," All Might accepted.
The people inside the building clamored to the windows, gazing at the fight outside. "What are you all doing?!" Inko yelled at them, David and her running by. "You need to get out of here, now!"
"You're joking right?" One young man questioned her, phone in hand. "That's Thor out there. He's waving his hammer around and everything!"
"Urgh! People be people no matter what universe you're in," Miruko grumbled, annoyed as usual at those kinds of civilians who, instead of the Hell of Dodge, stand around recording everything, making it ten times harder for the Pros to deal with Villains while worrying about civilians.
"It is an unfortunate part of the job," Edgeshot admitted. "But it is a complication that one must be always conscious of and adapt to. We, Heroes, must overcome these complications as much as any other Villain rather than complain about it."
Thor slammed Mjolnir down at Malekith, the Dark Elf blocking the strike with his crossed arms. A shockwave of force exploded out from them, cratering the area around them, cracking the pavement, and breaking the windows of the buildings, the people from before screamed and ducked from the sudden event.
"Well, at least they know when it's high time to vamoose," Miruko snickered.
With great force and power, Malekith threw his arms out, blasting Thor backward into the sky and through the roof of one of the buildings. Malekith's face was fully revealed, showing the white side of his face fully darkened black, one eye still white blue and the other yellow.
Aizawa's eyes narrowed at the full darkened look of the Dark Elf, his mind conjuring Kurogiri's and Shirakumo's split faces, with the last of his friend vanishing into fully Kurogiri.
He didn't realize he was gripping his seat's armrests so tightly if Eri hadn't placed her hand on top of his. Calming down and casting the image from his mind, he sent a thankful nod to the white-haired girl that called him her Grunkle. Eri smiled back at him, and Aizawa could see another thing she picked up from her Papa: his blinding, radiant smile.
Thor stopped his movement and flew back, crashing into Malekith and sending the both of them, and a few cars, into another portal. The two of them fell into Svartalfheim, tumbling with the cars down the mountainside they crashed onto. Still fighting with each other, the two fell down a cliff where they went through another portal, this time falling out of the sky over a church on Earth.
"The anomalies sending them back and forth through the Earth and Svartalfheim," Todoroki noted. "The Convergence's magic at work."
Thor got one good swing of his hammer at Malekith before they fell through another portal formed on the ground. They landed and tumbled on the black soil of Svartalfheim again. Thor tossed Mjolnir at Malekith; however, just before it struck his chest, it went into a portal, the hammer flying out into Earth before flying into the sky, burning up as it flew out of Earth's atmosphere and into space, racing back towards Thor lightyears away.
"Shit! He lost the hammer!" Kirishima cursed.
"Did Malekith do that on purpose?" Sero questioned.
"The Hell should I know?!" Bakugou barked back. "Shit's growing off the rails that it makes little difference whether it was on purpose or not!"
"Still, I like that Mjolnir just immediately started flying up trying to get back to Thor," Sato chuckled. "How long do you think it will take for it to reach there?"
"At the speed it is going, and depending on where Svartalfheim even is, maybe a few years," Shoda guessed. "Give or take a century."
Malekith smirked at the surprised Thor, launching another wave of the Aether at the God of Thunder, slamming him onto a wall of rock. Malekith made toward him. As Thor got up on his hands and knees, Malekith slammed his fist down him and both were sent down another portal. The two landed on the glass dome ceiling of a building. The people inside looked up in alarm to the strange sight of the Asgardian god and a Dark Elf sliding, audibly, down the dome before falling off. "Ah!" They both barely audibly yelled as they fell past another window startling the workers on the other end.
Kouta burst out laughing. "Oh! That was hilarious!" Kouta laughed loudly, holding his sides.
Mirio chuckled. "It was kind of funny, wasn't it?" Mirio agreed, before mimicking how the two fell. "Ah!"
Kouta and Eri both erupted in laughter and giggles again, followed up, infectiously, by the rest of the students.
"Mirio, are you sure you shouldn't ditch the puns and go for a more physical acting comedy?" Tamaki questioned.
"Yeah, you kind of seem better at that than your horrible puns!" Nejire giggled.
Mirio gasped dramatically. "How dare you both?!" His voice was more dramatic, placing a hand over his chest. "I can't believe you two would hurt me so deeply. I feel my trust and friendship have been horribly Misplaced!"
And so, began again did the cricket-less silence of shitty Mirio pun.
"Sorry Mirio," Izuku patted the shoulder of Eri's surrogate Uncle. "You ruined it."
"HAHAHA! I sure did!" Mirio laughed.
As they fell, Thor called out for Mjolnir, the hammer racing back down to Earth at its wielder's call. It flew over the street and up to where Thor and Malekith were about to reach it...only for the two to fall into another portal and Mjolnir raced back up to the sky, smashing through the windows at its fast ascent.
"Aw, I kinda feel bad for the hammer," Uraraka whined, sympathetically looking at the hammer. "Trying to get back to Thor, but he's always out of reach."
"Didn't expect you to relate so much with a hammer, Ochaco," Asui replied, bluntly.
Uraraka immediately knew what Asui implied, her face burning red. "I-I-It's n-not like-" One raised eyebrow from the frog girl silenced Uraraka's protests, the two realized that it was pointless at this rate for Uraraka to deny her feelings for her green-haired crush after already admitting to them and joining a group all about having a relationship with the boy.
The hammer flew past two fighter jets in the air as they flew toward Malekith's ship. "Confirming ship is hostile," The pilot over the radio informed.
"Confirmed. Ship is hostile. You have permission to engage." A man on the radio confirmed.
"Nice to see that the British government isn't sitting on its ass doing nothing about this," Mount Lady said.
"And if their missiles destroy Malekith's ship then he and the Dark Elves will have no means of escape," Kamui nodded.
"Roger," The pilot said, aiming at the ship. "Missiles locked." The pilot pulled the trigger. "Missiles away." The missile flew toward the ship.
However, before it reached the ship, the missile arched and flew upwards. "Missile is off target." The pilot radioed in as both the missile and both fighter jets began being pulled into the portal above them. "I repeat, target missed. I'm losing control. Mayday! Mayday! Lost positive control."
"They're being pulled in by the portal above them!" Pony exclaimed.
"Must be the planet's gravitational pull exerting its influence the closer an object is to the portal," Iida concluded. "Unfortunately, this means no military force can get close to the ship or risk exposure to the portal's influence."
The jets and missile flew out the portal, the missile crashing and exploding into the forest while the pilots regained control and flew around Vanaheim. Hogun heard the explosion and looked in its direction, confused.
"If Ectoplasm's counterpart is hearing this, that means that the pilots got sent to Vanaheim," Power Loader figured.
Ectoplasm felt another wave of guilt began to creep up on him. His counterpart, all this time, was on Vanaheim and likely knew nothing about the events that occurred on Asgard, including the invasion and death of his Queen.
"Don't let yourself befallen by guilt and grief, Ectoplasm," Edgeshot spoke up. "None of us had any idea of the catastrophe that came, the blame for what happened falls upon all our shoulders, if not to us who were there and did nothing to prevent such a tragedy. Besides, your counterpart had his home and people to protect after the attacks from those Marauders."
Ectoplasm absorbed the words of the wise Shinobi Hero and nodded, the weight of guilt lessening, if only for a bit.
"What are you doing?" David questioned Inko as they ran and ducked from the laser fire of the Dark Elves.
"My signal's not connecting," Inko explained. Inko stopped as the Dark Elves were behind them, trying to use the device again.
"Inko! Come on," David pulled her away, ducking in time for a red bolt of energy to destroy the pillar behind them.
"Jeez, I always forget that there are still a whole group of those guys," Sato rubbed his forehead.
All Might's hands fiddled nervously on the remains of his armrests, hoping for his counterpart to finish with the Dark Elf leader so he could help defend the counterparts to his lover and his best friend.
Thor and Malekith reappeared on an icy cliff of an icy wasteland. The two got up and heard the loud growling to their side. The two dived away as a large Frost Giant beast jumped at them, landing on the edge of the cliff.
"Oh, they're in Jotenheim," Jurota perked up. "I have been meaning to wonder what became of it after...never mind."
Jurota could tell that bringing back up the deeds of both godly brothers against Jotenheim was ill-advised so soon after one of their deaths if the guilty flinches from both All Might and Monoma said anything.
The cliff collapsed at their weight, sending both men and the beast falling and screaming through another portal.
"Oh, great, now where is that portal going to spit them out?" Sero scratched at his head.
"Hopefully, not on top of London," Koda muttered, not feeling too pleased about the thought of both a large vicious beast and a cliffside falling onto the streets and civilians of London.
Ian and Darcy stopped their running to look around, only to get spotted by another group of Dark Elves. The two ran, Ian ducked under a bolt of red energy that destroyed the wall next to him and the interns fell on the ground the two on opposite sides of a black buggy.
A portal formed and out came the Frost Giant beast. It snarled over the unfortunate one in front of it and chomped on it, crunching and swinging around the Dark Elf before running off with its meal.
"Jesus!" Itsuka cringed. "I mean, I know they are evil, but what a horrible way to go."
"And now, we got Frost the Snow Beast running around the streets of London," Setsuna threw her hands in exclamation.
"At least, it chased off the Dark Elves after Pony and Kosei," Ibara looked on the bright side.
Ian shook off the daze. He spotted Darcy on the other side of the buggy and the approaching group of Dark Elves going toward her.
"Pony," Itsuka whimpered in worry at the oncoming danger to the girl's counterpart.
Todoroki flinched, the grip of his hands on his arms tightening.
Ian then spotted that the buggy was floating off the ground like the cement truck from earlier. Getting an idea, he quickly got up. As the Dark Elves reached her and aimed their guns, Ian with a roar slammed the buggy down onto them, crushing the Dark Elves and saving Darcy.
"Whoa! Way to go, man," Sen chuckled, still reeling from the sudden action. "You just crushed those guys."
Pony sighed, relieved. "Thanks, Tsuburaba," Pony thanked her classmate.
"Yeah, yeah, I know," Kosei pumped his chest, proudly, rubbing his nose, nonchalantly. "It was no biggie."
"It appears that some of my students still need a lesson in humility," Vlad muttered, deadpanning at his smug student.
Darcy whirled where Ian was, holding the nose of the car in his hands. "Are you alright?" He asked, worried.
"You saved my life," Darcy said, wide-eyed.
Ian blinked, noticing himself still holding the car part, and tossed it away. "Yeah. I-I guess I did." He stuttered out, smiling. Darcy walked up to him and smiled, brightly.
Inko and David were still running from the Dark Elves. The two stopped and Inko turned the lever again, a spike of blue energy sending the Dark Elves disappearing and Darcy and Ian reappearing, Ian leaned on Darcy's arms while Darcy kissed him.
"Ohohoho!" Setsuna burst out laughing, rubbing her hands mischievously. "Lookie what we got here!"
The students burst out laughing, especially the guys of 1-B at the sight of their classmates' counterparts. Kosei's and Pony's blushes only grew after the awing and cooing from the girls.
Previously, Todoroki had sighed in relief when Darcy was saved by the Dark Elves, only now, seeing the two's counterparts swap spit, brought ire and annoyance to the forefront of his mind that he could only recognize as something along the lines of jealousy. He could almost feel the twitch in his eyes and the cold chill coming out of him.
"Didn't take you for letting the girl be the one wearing the pants in the relationship, Tsuburaba," Honenuki teased to Kosei's misfortune.
"I-I-IT'S NOTHING LIKE THAT!" Pony waved her arms over her bright red face. "HONEST! WE"RE JUST FRIENDS!"
"Y-YEAH, WHAT SHE SAID!" Kosei also denied it.
Todoroki's stiff frame relaxed a bit, the chill of his Quirk disappearing. Though, he noticed the annoyance and jealousy were still ever present, only further agitated when hearing Pony getting grilled by Tokage and the others. 'Okay, I Really need to talk to Camie.' Todoroki decided, needing a conversation with his girlfriend about what was going on with him.
"Darcy?" Inko blinked at the sudden arrival and make-out session of the two.
The two ceased their lip lock. "Inko!" Darcy exclaimed, Ian falling from her arms.
"Ian!" David noticed the poor boy.
Ian got up from his landing. "Selvig," Ian greeted back.
With a boom, Mjolnir sailed over them. "Mew-Mew!" Darcy exclaimed at the flying hammer.
"Eri!" Eri yelled out, giggling.
"Dang it! Eri, you beat me to it." Mirio chuckled, playfully wagging his finger at the girl, to her further giggling.
Malekith landed back at the center square. Thor reappeared in a tumble in a subway station as a subway stopped.
"Well, ain't that peachy?" Pixie Bob scoffed. "Thor's who knows where and Malekith is back where he needs to be for the Convergence."
"And Mjolnir is still trying to find Thor, so he has no means of fast travel other than the subway," Mandalay noted.
The doors opened for people to get off. "How do I get to Greenwich?" Thor asked.
"Take this train. Three stops." The surprised lady onboard answered while people stared and took pictures.
"Heh, some things just stay the same," Mic chuckled at the onlookers' actions.
Izuku lightly chuckled, remembering how after the Sports Festival he was easily recognized by all the people on the train. It was an overwhelming experience, but an honestly nice change to being recognized favorably, at least compared to his time in Aldera.
Thor quickly got on and stood by the lady. As the subway took started, the lady stumbled onto Thor's chest. "Sorry. Sorry," The lady quickly apologized and steadied herself, keeping back her pleased smile. Thor gave a kind smile back.
Midnight snorted. "Careful, Yagi, wouldn't want the future missus to get the wrong idea, now would we?" Midnight teased.
Izuku choked on his drink and coughed, Melissa helpfully patting his back, while All Might tried defending himself/denying, futilely, Midnight's claims.
Meanwhile...
Mitsuki Bakugou stared at her best friend in confusion. The green-haired mother of Izuku Midoriya had suddenly tensed up and gained a dark menacing aura around her. It would have honestly been terrifying for anyone to see- and it was slightly surprising for the mother of Katsuki Bakugou -but she was more than used to her best friend's moods, even her rare violent ones.
"You alright, Inko?" Mitsuki asked.
"Oh, yes, yes, I'm alright," Inko replied, though her vibrating hands and rapidly sloshing tea in her cup said otherwise. "I just feel like I need to chop someone's hand off."
Mitsuki laughed her ass off at her friend's words, honestly finding Inko Midoriya when she's like this rather adorable. The woman was usually a sobbing, stress-filled mess, but only got like this when her son, Mitsuki's surrogate nephew, was in danger. Now, her new boyfriend having any interaction with a woman not her own or with her approval has been added to the Midoriya matriarch's list of triggers.
Mitsuki had yet to meet this sudden new boyfriend of her best friend, a relationship that was sprung on Mitsuki out of nowhere, though her verdant-haired best friend said it was slowly building up for a while before it fully became a relationship after Izuku and Bakugou left to move into the U.A. dorms.
'Still too long for her to keep this from little old me,' Mitsuki thought to herself, sipping on her tea, calculating what to say to get her friend to spill the tea, while she waited for Inko to relax and stop actually spilling the tea.
Malekith got up, looking above at the portals beginning to align, one toward Vanaheim, one toward Jotunheim, one for Mussphelheim, and the latest to be seen being Asgard's. Malekith marched toward the center of their alignment, wind and smoke blowing around him.
"Shit!" Bakugou cursed, feeling rather useless sitting here on his ass while the Dark Elf was beginning to unleash the Aether. He felt even worse given that his counterpart was a continent away and likely still dealing with his own mess, and if not was probably still suit-less and unable to help. I guess this is how it felt with the others when they couldn't help me in Iron Man 3. I hate it.'
Malekith raised his arms, the red and black mist of the Aether swirling around and up. Malekith began to float up into the air. Inko and David looked on as the Alignment began to reach its zenith.
Aizawa growled, his red eye narrowed. 'Shirakumo,' Aizawa thought, unable to stop the memories of Shirakumo flying on Loud Cloud. Now, seeing this perversion of his memory floating and ready to unleash his evil plan, drew more of his ire.
"We're out of time," Inko said, running off toward it.
"Inko!" David called out to her. "Inko!"
Black veins and corrupted rot formed around the buildings near the swirling vortex of Darkness. The Aether traveled up the daggered length of Malekith's ship and into the portals like grasping, blood-red branches. The wispy veins flowed out of Asgard's portal and over the gate of the Bifrost, the golden dome corrupted black.
All Might growled, fists clenching as the drive to step up to help burned inside him again. 'Come on, Thor,' All Might begged his counterpart. 'Get there and end this!'
Thor ran out of an alleyway as people ran away. The God of Thunder looked at the blood-red vortex. "Thor!" He turned to see Inko and David running toward him, David holding a few spikes on him. "We're too late."
"The Convergence is at its peak," David said.
Thor looked at the beeping spikes. "Can those things stop him?" Thor asked.
"Not from here," David shook his head.
"We can't get close enough," Inko explained.
Thor looked to Inko and back at the vortex. "I can," He declared, grabbing the spikes from David and rushing towards the vortex.
"Is he going to use the spikes to teleport Malekith away?" Uraraka guessed.
"Possibly," Iida replied. "If the Convergence requires Malekith to be at this specific spot on Earth, he could disrupt his ritual."
"And if that is not the case and he can simply do this in any of the other worlds in their specific locations, they can still teleport him to another location away from the Alignment," Jurota added. "Either way, they have to get Malekith out of here or distract him enough to disrupt the ritual till the Convergence is over."
Inko breathed shakily as she watched Thor vanish into the vortex, looking at her console as the beeping signals of the spikes went out.
"Can he even survive in that?" Pony whimpered, worried.
"He may be the only one who could," Itsuka replied, putting a hand on the girl's shoulder.
Izuku steeled his nerves and looked at the screen with all his attention. 'You can do this Thor, All Might,' Izuku wished his best for the god. 'You're the Symbol of Peace here, and the God of Thunder there. If anyone can beat him, it's you. Go Beyond.'
Thor marched with all his might through the blood-red swirl of the Aether around him, grunting his way towards Malekith at the very center, wisps of Aether flowing out of him.
"Malekith!" Thor shouted.
Malekith let his arms down, turning to face Thor by his burnt black side.
'You've invaded my home, harmed my people, taken my mother, taken my brother, threatened the one I love,' All Might listed, every offense fueling his resolve. 'For all of this, You will Die.'
"Darkness returns, Asgardian," Malekith's voice boomed out. "Have you come to witness the end of your universe?"
"I've come to accept your surrender," Thor barked back.
"Heh, like the beginning of the movie," Kirishima whispered.
"Shh, the final fight is starting," Tetsutetsu hushed the faux redhead.
With a mighty throw, Thor tossed one of the spikes toward Malekith, the beeping spike sailing through the heavy air, shakily. Before it flew past him, Malekith grabbed it without bothering a look.
Hawks. "Gotcha, you son of bitch," Hawks grinned.
Inko saw the spike come online and turned the knob. The beeping of the spike went rapid in Malekith's hand. Malekith barely glanced at it until the spike vanished a blue flash taking with it his right hand.
"Holy shit!" Kaminari cursed. "They just teleported his hand off!"
"In his arrogance, Malekith underestimated the spikes and simply caught it rather than destroying them," Ryukyu smirked. "He thought himself invincible and paid for it."
Thor tossed another, the spike lodging itself in Malekith's left shoulder. Malekith groaned as it flashed away with his left arm, the limb finding itself limp in Svartalfheim's soil.
All Might stared impassively at the screen. 'Hmm, rather similar to what the League wanted to do with me,' All Might remembered the USJ and Shigaraki's and Kurogiri's plan to have Nomu trap him and have Kurogiri's Warp Gate close around him and snap him in two.
"You think you can stop this?" Malekith's voice boomed, his eyes a ruby yellow, the Aether swirling around him like a dark mist. "The Aether cannot be destroyed." The Aether formed around where his arms were and regrew new ones.
"But you can," Thor retorted. Thor called for Mjolnir, the enchanted hammer sailing toward the spiraling vortex.
Thor ran through the heavy winds around him, leaping into the air over Malekith's spires of Darkness. As if in slow motion, Thor sailed through the air, Mjolnir flying into his hand, and a spike in his other. Thor slammed the spike into Malekith's chest and hammer it in him with a slam from Mjolnir, the spark of lightning blasting Malekith out of the vortex and onto the side of his ship, embedded into the metal from the spike.
Inko turned the knob and Malekith screamed in fury as the spike beeped and teleported him, and a part of his ship, away. The vortex of the Aether vanished with him.
"Yes!" Melissa's cheer was followed by more from the group.
"Even if the Aether could not be destroyed, the host body still could," Endeavor said. "But if the Aether could simply regenerate any damage done to the host, too."
"Ah, but the plan wasn't simply to kill Malekith, it was to keep him distracted or lead him somewhere away from the Convergence's focal point until the event passed," Nezu explained. "And so, using the gravimetric spikes, they simply teleported Malekith away from the area to stop the ritual."
All Might looked down, his thoughts turning to that immense rage that called for him to kill Malekith. 'But if I...Thor listed to that rage, he would have simply wasted time, and any damage I would try to do would have just been quickly fixed.' That particular thought reminded the former Symbol of Peace of the fate of All For One, that he may have crushed his skull in payment for his stomach, but it did little more than weaken him and halted his plans for a time.
All Might sighed. 'Whether he died from that or not, Malekith and the Aether are far from the Alignment and the ritual halted. We've won.' All Might smirked. 'And I couldn't have done it without David or Inko.'
The air grew silent and still all around. Inko came up to the square gazing upon all of the destruction. She found Thor laying on the ground, still.
"I-Is he-" Pony stuttered out, fear gripping her heart.
"No, no, I think he's just unconscious from the ordeal," Izuku said, not sure who he was trying to reassure more. "He fought Kurse and lost Loki before in Svartalfheim, and fought Malekith and his forces in the span of a day, including pushing through that vortex of Darkness. I'm sure he just passed out from exhaustion."
Before she could call out, Inko heard the sounds of creaking and breaking. She looked to see Malekith's ship beginning to fall apart, the tip of its daggered length broke apart with half of it gone, falling further into the ground and beginning to fall.
"It's falling apart?!" Mineta exclaimed.
"It could be that the extensive power and pressure of the Aether during the ritual might have damaged the ship's integrity," Momo quickly deduced. "And with part of the ship gone after Malekith was warped away, it might have gone too unstable and is beginning to collapse."
"Thor! No!" Inko ran up to the unconscious Asgardian, kneeling down and flipping him over. As the creaking grew louder upon its arrival, Inko tried pulling Thor away, failing to move the mass of muscle and armor that was the god.
'No, no, no, no, no! Leave! Get out of there!' All Might begged Inko Foster.
Inko looked up to see the ship beginning to fall. "Inko!" David yelled, looking up to see the bladed front of the ship falling. Darcy and Ian arrived, Ian blocking Darcy back from running toward them.
Seeing no other way to escape in time, Inko grabbed and hugged Thor's body and braced for impact...but it never came. Inko peeked an eye out to see that there was no ship there anymore.
"Huh?" Was the reaction from most of the group.
"Where did the ship go?" Tetsutetsu scratched his head. "Through another anomaly?"
On Svartalfheim, with the Aether swirling around a recovering Malekith, the Dark Elf looked up to see his ship coming out of a portal and down onto him. Malekith could only look on with wide eyes as the ship crashed, blade first, onto him, crushing him to death under the debris.
"HAHA! Take that you pointy-eared bastard!" Bakugou mocked the now-dead Dark Elf. "How's it feel getting crushed under your own ship?!"
"Easy, Mr. Bakugou," Nezu warned the boy to calm down, sneaking a glance at the trio of teachers to his side.
The three teachers of Aizawa, Mic, and Midnight did their best to ignore the fact that Malekith was killed in much the same way as his counterpart, Shirakumo, and didn't hold anything against the blonde, forgetting the significance that the Dark Elf's counterpart had to them. Mic was still fuming with indignant rage over Shirakumo being compared to a Villain, much less be a Villain in their world, and Midnight just sighed, thankful that the nightmare of this whole ordeal was over.
Aizawa found the situation horribly ironic. He never did see Shirakumo die from the debris caused by Garven, he even imagined Shirakumo's voice in his head, encouraging him to fight and defeat the Villain. When the battle was over was when Aizawa found Mic and Midnight mourning over Shirakumo's body in the rubble. He barely even saw his corpse underneath the rubble he was buried in.
Now, seeing Malekith die from the falling debris of his ship, painted a picture of Shirakumo's death that Aizawa never wanted to see or imagine.
Toshinori sensed the foul and saddened moods of his colleagues and felt sad and guilty. Of course, he felt horrible for them having to witness their friend be compared to such a monster, to have that monster besmirch their friend's name by committing such horrible acts, and now see him die as if seeing Shirakumo die all over again.
But All Might was right beside them, all the while hoping, rooting, praying for Malekith's demise for what he took from him, and yet forgot all about what the man's counterpart was to the teachers. If that didn't make for one horribly guilty and awkward scenario, Toshinori did not know what will.
David smiled, letting out a breath of relief, the device in hand and the knob freshly turned. "Everybody okay?"
"Well done, Mr. Shield," Tsukauchi nodded to the inventor. "You quite literally helped bring the house down on Malekith."
"I suppose so," David chuckled, looking to All Might, the two smiling. "Just one of many debts I had to pay for my old friend."
"And as I have said all those times, you never had to," All Might replied. "But they were appreciated all the same."
Inko knelt up and looked around, seeing David responsible for their survival. She looked down at the God of Thunder as he opened his eyes. Ian and Darcy smiled at each other, Darcy flying in for a victory make-out that Ian happily received.
The girls and guys laughed at Pony's and Kosei's expense, while Izuku looked at how Todoroki seemed to grow colder at the sight. Izuku looked down, wondering if perhaps a talk was in order between the two.
Overhead, the portals began moving out of alignment, as the Convergence began to end. Out of the portal to Vanaheim, just as it closed, the two fighter jets from before, flew out and back to whence they came.
"Phew," Hawks wiped his brow. "At least those guys managed to get back to Earth from their unscheduled flight plan to Vanaheim."
"I'm sure if they didn't that Hogun would have found them if they didn't and have Heimdall and Thor send them back to Earth," Edgeshot responded.
The scene transitioned afterward, to Inko, David, Darcy, and Ian all eating breakfast at the table, silently. Inko, nervous and anxious all over, took a sip of her coffee.
"He's gonna come back," Darcy reassured Inko, David looking unsure. "Except, you know, last time he was gone, for like, two years."
"Not helping, Pony," Ibara whispered.
"Sorry, my bad," Pony raised her hands in surrender.
"I suppose you and your counterpart both lack the ability to read a room," Reiko said, while Yui silently nodded.
"Girls!" Pony whined.
"Well, it's only been two days, so..." Inko reasoned to Darcy, and herself.
"Did he say anything before he left?" David asked.
"Yeah, he had to figure some stuff out with his father," Inko answered. "He kinda committed treason...on our way out." Having said that, Inko went back to eating anxiously, while David, Darcy, and Ian looked at each other, worried of the worst.
"Oh...yeah, I forgot about that," Fat Gum scratched his head, completely forgetting that his, Ryukyu's, Edgeshot's, and Hawk's counterparts all helped Thor commit treason to get him, Loki, and Foster out of Asgard.
"Whatever our fates may be, we helped to save Thor's lady love, bring Malekith's attention away from Asgard, and helped to make sure Thor saved both Asgard and the universe," Edgeshot said, steeling his nerves. "If it is for the axe that is our punishment, then I would accept it honorably."]
"Agreed," Ryukyu nodded, smiling.
"Heh, you sound like Loki did at the beginning of the movie," Hawks snickered.
"You once said there would never be a wiser king than me. You were wrong," Odin began as the scene shifted to Asgard, Thor kneeling before Odin, the AllFather, with his spear in hand, standing in front of a newly rebuilt throne. "The Alignment has brought all the realms together. Every one of them saw you offer your life to save them. What can Asgard offer its new king in return?"
"Oh! He's getting off scot-free?" Mount lady blinked, surprised. "Is this nepotism?"
"Thor saved the entire universe from Malekith's plan and Odin is admitting that his plans would have been ill for Asgard and its people," Kamui reminded his colleague.
"Yeah, plus it wouldn't exactly send the right message to punish the guy that saved all realms," Death Arms agreed.
Iida, Todoroki, and Izuku all shared glances at the irony of that sentiment, remembering the stern talking to the three of them received after beating the Hero Killer Stain.
"My life," Thor responded. Thor stood and continued. "Father, I cannot be King of Asgard. I will protect Asgard and all the realms with my last and every breath, but I cannot do so from that chair."
"Wait, he's giving up the throne?" Mina questioned.
"If Thor became King of Asgard then he wouldn't be able to protect the Nine Realms personally than he would if he were just Thor," Izuku explained, eyes looking at nothing as he self-reflected.
"Yeah, all the likely meetings, truces, and everything; sounds honestly more boring than getting to go wherever and kick some bad guy butt," Kaminari shrugged.
"Loki for all his grave imbalance, understood rule as I know I never will," Thor admitted. Odin raised an eyebrow, mouth slightly agape. "The brutality, the sacrifice...it changes you. I'd rather be a good man than a great king."
Monoma blinked, surprised and touched that his brother would think him more capable of ruling than himself. Monoma smiled at his brother from another life.
"Is this my son I hear, or the woman he loves?" Odin questioned.
"When you speak, do I never hear Mother's voice?" Thor answered with his own question.
Toshinori blinked, thinking about how his life changed with Inko, realizing how her presence and her smile often made him relaxed, how her words of wisdom helped make him a much better teacher, especially in terms of her son and how he learns. All Might understood in a way what Thor meant. 'Those in our lives, even if they may cloud our judgment at times, they help us become better than who we were before. In a way, even when they are gone, they remain a part of us through the same advice and words we say.' At the end of that thought, All Might imagined not only how Inko made him better, but the words and advice that Nana gave him that made him who he was today.
Odin looked down and sighed, his eye still showing love and mourning for Frigga. "This is not for Inko, Father," Thor continued. "She does not know what I came here to say. Now, forbid me to see her, or say she can rule at my side. It changes nothing."
Odin fell to the throne, slumping against one armrest. "One son who wanted the throne too much, another who will not take it," Odin spoke of the irony before him. "Is this my legacy?"
"Ooh, the irony," Miruko hissed.
"Loki died with honor, I shall try to live the same," Thor replied. "Is that not legacy enough?"
All Might smiled, his thoughts turning inwards as well, as his gaze drifted to Midoriya. 'When I gave you One For All, trained you to be a Hero, I did so not just because I thought you could be a great one, the best of us even, but so that you would take my place as the Symbol of Peace, the Number 1 Hero,' All Might remembered all his training with Midoriya, from the beach, at U.A., in class or outside. 'I knew of the burden and expectation I put upon your shoulders, how much you disappoint yourself when you feel you don't live up to that standard, even when you consistently surpass every one of mine.'
All Might imagined himself, in his buff state, standing before a golden light, shining as the Symbol, before that light turned emerald and he was replaced by the Hero that Deku would be, standing before the light just as he did. All Might smiled. 'Whether in the future you become the same kind of Symbol or something else, something better or not, whether you become the Number 1 Hero eventually, it matters not. What you have already done, what you continue to do, and what I'm sure of what you will achieve, my legacy, the legacy of One For All, is in safe hands with you, Izuku Midoriya, and I'm sure you will make me as proud of you as I already am.'
Odin eventually nodded, understanding. Thor looked at Mjolnir in his hand and offered it to Odin. Odin was silent, then with a wave of his said, "It belongs to you. If you are worthy of it."
"I shall try to be," Thor replied, humbly.
"Was he seriously willing to give up the hammer?" Kamakiri questioned.
"It's because he was willing to give it up and because he feels the need to live up to that responsibility, that he is worthy of it," Izuku smiled, his fingers massaging the palms of his hands, and, as if by a response from the Quirk itself, a small jolt of approval sparked around his hand.
All Might noticed and his smile grew wider. 'And it looks like I'm not the only one who thinks so too.'
Odin shook his head. "I cannot give you my blessing, nor can I wish you good fortune."
"I know," Thor nodded, understanding. Thor made to leave but stopped at Odin's voice.
"If I were proud of the man my son had become, even that I could not say," Thor turned to face Odin again. "It would speak only from my heart." Odin smiled at him. "Go, my son."
Toshinori thought of his own father, something that he didn't think he would do for so long. It had occurred to him that for so long seeing Nana as his mother, now represented in Thor's mother as her counterpart, he never did much the same for Odin and his own father. Odin's counterpart, Yoroi Musha, didn't have any particular relationship with All Might other than as a work colleague, and if he had to have something close to a father figure in his life the closest would have been Gran Torino, but he felt more like a stern uncle than anything.
But his actual father, his actual mother, he didn't have much to say about them. His mother died shortly after he was born from an illness she couldn't fight back, and he and his father had the barest minimum of a relationship. He was Quirkless like him, and All Might always would hold some resentment toward the man, believing his neutral treatment of him to be something of a rebuke of him for being Quirkless, for not being blessed like his mother was, or as if he was as weak and unimportant as himself.
But despite that, the man still raised him to the best of his ability, still worked hard to support them, he never abandoned him like most Quirkless kids had the misfortune of being. Sometimes he thought he just thought the man didn't want to get arrested for child abuse or accused of child neglect. Sometimes Toshinori felt he was his father's begrudging obligation for the titles they bore as 'father' and 'son'.
Then he met Nana, trained to be a Hero, received One For All and got a Quirk of his own, and got into U.A. And in all that time, Toshinori was always so focused on becoming the Symbol of Peace, becoming All Might, even living up to Nana's example, that he didn't bother thinking about the opinion his father had of who he had become. And when Toshinori had bothered, he was gone.
Died of an illness in his last year at U.A., but the man was financially smart enough to leave behind a good enough amount of wealth for Toshinori to support himself until after he became a Hero. His death didn't leave too much of an impact on him as Nana's did, but he still felt sad after his passing, a little more alone. Then Nana died, and Gran Torino told him to leave Japan to flee All For One, he graduated from U.A. and fled to America, spent some time there as a Hero, met David Shield, eventually returned to Japan, and became the Symbol of Peace. His life became too much of a whirlwind to hang on to a bitter past.
But there was still that one memory, the one he kept revisiting so many years ago. It was a fleeting moment, something he barely registered out of the corner of his eye, but he remembered that first day he left for U.A., the one time he looked back to see if his father was looking his way. For many years, he thought he only saw the man close the door with nary a second glance. He resented his father for it.
Only in his later years did the haze of the moment begin to clear. When he revisited the memory, instead of seeing just a bitter man turning back without a care for him, he spotted his father turning away with a single, small smile on his face. A happy one, a proud one.
Now, as he saw, Odin smile at his counterpart, did he see that same kind of smile that his father had when he first went off to U.A. Toshinori snorted, a small smile on his face. 'Wonder how you are right now, Father? Mother?' Toshinori thought, not knowing, and probably wouldn't ever know of where his parents were in the afterlife, or if they were looking down at their son with pride alongside Nana, as they were now.
"Thank you, Father," Thor smiled back, and left, Odin watching as he exited the throne room.
As soon as Thor was out of sight, a green glow began to come off of Odin, the illusion breaking to find Loki in his place.
"WHAT?!" The group suddenly exclaimed.
"L-Loki?!" All Might stuttered, both relieved yet shocked by his appearance.
Monoma's eyes widened to the size of dinner plates.
"H-He's alive?!" Itsuka yelled.
"No," Loki whispered, his grin devilishly, as he sat on the throne of Asgard. "Thank you."
The screen turned black and began playing the credits, showing the images of events in a stylized black-and-white format with splotches of color when applicable.
As the credits played, the group sat at their seats, utterly stunned. Barely a movement was spared other than blinking eyes and slackening jaws.
Then Bakugou came in to break the silence. "EEEEEHHHHHH! WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!" Bakugou roared, his shock now turning to anger. "DID THAT CONIVING TRICKSTER FUCK JUST BAMBOOZILE US WITH ANOTHER FAKE DEATH AGAIN?!"
Before the exploding Pomeranian could curse off anymore, Ibara wrapped her vines around his mouth. "Excuse us, but I need to calm him down before he goes on about this for hours." Ibara led the ash-blonde teen off to the side, all the while dragging him by the ear.
"As crash as he was, he does raise an important question," Jurota admitted. "How did Loki survive again?"
"Yeah, I mean, sorry for bringing it up again, but he got impaled through the chest by the lance he impaled Kurse through," Shoji reminded.
"Maybe he used another illusion to pose getting impaled and then show dying in Thor's arms?" Uraraka suggested.
"Yes, but why?" Hagakure asked further. "Why would he just subject Thor to that?"
"Because he didn't want to get imprisoned again," Monoma spoke up, drawing everyone's attention to Loki's counterpart. Monoma barely gave the stares any mind as he focused on his counterpart's thought process. "Even though he aided Thor against the Dark Elves, I hardly doubt that all of his past crimes would have been forgiven just as easily. He must have believed that after all was said and done, Thor might not have honored his deal and put him back in his cell, or that even if he did, he would still be hunted down by the other Asgardians, afterward. Faking his death would remove the need of searching for him."
Hawks's eyes drifted to the side, remembering his whole plan and discussion with Best Jeanist.
"Okay, I guess that does make sense," Setsuna admitted. "Even if he and Thor had that talk between them, nothing pretty much changed with him and Odin, and I doubt that the AllFather was going to be in a forgiving mood after all that happened."
"But how did he get back to Asgard?" Kyoka questioned. "Last I checked, they left his body in Svartalfheim and that einherjar said they found his body."
Izuku's eyes widened. "That's because the einherjar didn't find a body," Izuku spoke up, the attention now drawing to him. "That man wasn't an einherjar, it was Loki disguised as one, like the one he transformed into when Thor was busting him out of prison."
"Oh, right!" Melissa smacked her head lightly. "Hello, Melissa! The guard even looked the exactly like the one Loki turned into. When Odin was talking to the einherjar, that was Loki in disguise. Remember how creepy and ominous he looked at the end?"
"Yeah, that was super creepy," Kirishima shivered. "But then how did he get back to Asgard? There's still the whole getting from one planet to another thing we haven't discussed."
"Why it's simple, Mr. Kirishima," Nezu spoke up. "He took a boat."
"A-A boat?" Tetsutetsu blinked.
"Yes, the flying boat that Loki and Thor used to get into Svartalfheim in the first place," Nezu pointed out. "They never showed what they did with the boat after they saw Malekith's ship descend from the sky, and so Loki must have taken the same flying boat and traveled through the secret Bifrost passages as before."
"Yeah, you're right, sir," Vlad sighed, feeling like his old heart cannot take much more of these fake-out deaths of his students. "It did seem rather suspicious how an einherjar was suddenly in Svartalfheim when Odin had forbidden travel between worlds."
"But then what happened to Odin?" Nejire threw out another question. "If that Odin was Loki in disguise, then where's the real Odin? Did Loki ambush and capture him? Did he put some kind of sleeping spell on him and stashed him away somewhere? Did he put him into that Odinsleep thingy from the last movie? Or did he use some kind of brainwashing spell and drop him off somewhere? Or did he even kill-"
"Nejire, Nejire, please," Nejire's rapid-fire questions only stopped when she suddenly felt her hands grabbed by someone. Blinking out of her daze, she looked down to see that one of the hands looked mangled looking and full of scars. She followed the arm to see it belonged to Izuku Midoriya looking at her with a nervous smile. "Thank you for all the questions and possibilities but can you maybe ease up a bit? I don't think some of us would like to hear some of the more 'darker' options."
Tilting his head, Nejire looked up to see a deeply concerned and emotionally conflicting All Might, as well as the confused and concerned expressions of the other Asgardian counterparts, including Ryukyu, as they pondered what Loki may have done to their King.
"Ehehe, sorry, 'Zuzu," Nejire apologized, chuckling nervously. "I got carried away there, huh?"
"A little bit, but if there's anybody here who knows about being a bit of blabbermouth, it's me, right?" Izuku eased her, smiling at her. "But what you asked were some very important questions and possibilities, which we are grateful to have, Nejire."
Nejire smiled back warmly at Izuku. Then it clicked to the both of them about who the people they were talking to were. And then they looked at their hands, Nejire's small, dainty, smooth ones cupped in Izuku's scarred, calloused, yet warm and comforting hands. They both turned a very fierce shade of red, train whistles almost sounding as steam exploded out their ears. They quickly disengaged from each other and looked away, both blushing brightly.
"U-U-Uh, thanks for the questions, again, N-Nejire," Izuku stuttered out, trying to compose himself from another nuclear meltdown.
"N-N-No problem, 'Z-Zuzu," Nejire waved herself off and tried to contain the ear-piercing squeals broiling beneath the surface.
"Yes, well, um *ahem*, as Nejire helpfully mentioned," Mirio coughed to get the conversation back on track, all while struggling to hide his ear-to-ear grin. "Would Loki simply hide or lock Odin away or would he...you know..."
"No, as much anger as Loki had for us, I don't think Loki would kill him," All Might spoke up at last, shaking his head. "Not after everything. He must have hidden Odin somewhere so that he can pose as him as King of Asgard and knew that I would deny the throne for Inko, leaving it open for him to rule."
"And with your counterpart now off to spend his time on Earth and the rest of the Nine Realms, Loki can do so unimpeded with little challenge," Aizawa said, dryly.
"Perhaps there can be some answers as to where Odin may be in the post-credits?" Midnight suggested, nervously trying to diffuse a tension she felt might be building between All Might and Aizawa. "There are those post-credits here, right, F.R.I.D.A.Y.?"
"Indeed," F.R.I.D.A.Y. replied. "In fact, a couple are about to play right now."
Color came again to the screen, showing Inko fiddling with her cereal, now alone at the table. At the sound of thunder, Inko perked up. David, Darcy, and Ian looked outside to see the rainbow beam of the Bifrost crash down outside.
Inko turned around, smiling brightly. She ran out to meet with the God of Thunder as he stepped out of the Bifrost, the two meeting together with a passionate kiss.
"Well, at least Thor and Foster finally got together, right?" Uraraka said.
"I suppose this is a rather happy completion for this movie," Momo, ever the romantic, admitted.
All Might would have to agree with Young Yaoyorozu. Despite not exactly happy that his counterpart's father might be hidden somewhere, and his throne usurped by his once-more resurrected brother, seeing his counterpart finally get a chance for a happily ever after with Inko was a pleasant ending for the both of them.
Meanwhile, back at the abandoned complex, the Frost Giant Beast was shown still on Earth, chasing after a flock of birds, growling and snapping at them like a cat.
"Oh...yeah...that giant Frost Giant Beast is still there, huh?" Kosei scratched his cheek. "Oh boy, that might be a problem?"
"Eh, I'd imagine Thor could be there to wrangle it back to Jotenheim," Honenuki shrugged. "If not, kill it before it harms anybody."
"I would prefer sending it safely back to its home," Koda spoke up firmly in defense of the simply confused and lost animal.
The screen came to life again, showing a pinkish-red-skinned woman leading Volstagg and Sif down a room full of oddities in glass cages, weird, alien noises sounding all over. Volstagg's and Sif's eyes glanced around, the red glow of the Aether in the storage device Sif held.
"Okay, whaaaattt?" Mineta's eyebrow raised the further he stretched out the word.
"It looks like a museum," Sero also raised an eyebrow. "Or a zoo of some sort."
"And that box that Sif has," Melissa pointed to the box in Sif's hands. "It's glowing red like the Aether. Did they get it from Malekith's body?"
"I suppose without the host body, the Aether would just be there for somebody to get," Ryukyu shrugged. "At least, it was them that got it before another Dark Elf or worse."
"But what would we be doing with it here?" Fat Gum questioned, wondering where this red chick was leading him and Ryukyu's counterparts.
"I present to you, Taneleer Tivan," The alien woman introduced the two to the robed man they faced. "The Collector."
Donned in a white-furred coat, and black and reddish-purple clothes, the white-haired man, black guyliner under his droopy eyes and a black marking down his lip to his chin.
"The Collector," Izuku wrote down the name and started forming a best of a sketch of the man, his assistant(?), and any of the things in those glass cages around the place.
"I suppose the name fits with all the junk everywhere," Kyoka said, raising an eyebrow as something felt off about the man, not just the rather sinister-sounding name.
"Whoa..." The Collector made a noise of surprise at seeing the two Asgardians, especially what they held in hand. "Asgardians, it's an honor." The man gave an exaggerated bow of greeting.
"Rather flamboyant of him, huh?" Sato said.
"Oui," Aoyama, the flamboyant master, agreed. "Though I do find his style of clothing rather interesting."
Sif and Volstagg gave in return tried and strained smiles. Sif looked around and gazed at an alien woman wearing a gas mask and laying helplessly against the glass of her cage.
"Okay, now this is giving me very bad vibes," Rin shivered.
"Yeah? What gave it away, rookie?" Miruko questioned. "The weird creepy name or the people that look like they're in cages?!"
"You know why we're here," Sif strained out.
"Of course," Tivan replied. "But if I may ask, why not keep it secure in your own vault?"
"The Tesseract is already on Asgard," Volstagg answered. "It is not wise to keep two Infinity Stones so close together."
"Infinity Stones?" Bakugou, long since returned with Ibara, repeated the name. "The Hell is that?"
"Volstagg said that both the Aether and Tesseract are Infinity Stones," Shinsou narrowed his eyes. "So, the two are related?"
Izuku's eyes widened immensely before he quickly started flipping the pages of one of his notebooks, so fast and desperate that it drew the attention of the group.
"Deku?" Uraraka questioned her best friend's sudden behavior.
Izuku didn't seem to notice as he landed on the page with the Tesseract, the gem of Loki's Scepter, and a sketch of the Aether, with a caption that said 'Pre-Universe Relics?' "Of course," Izuku breathed out, starting to right some more info at lightning speed. "I Knew there was something here."
"Hey, Nerd! How about you stop being such a dramatic vague bastard and speak up?!" Bakugou snapped, annoyed at Deku's, admittingly, unknowing dramatics.
"S-Sorry," Izuku apologized before breathing in deeply to calm himself. "But you remember when Odin took Thor and Foster to talk about the Aether and Dark Elves?"
"Yeah, after your ma' blew those guys away when they tried to touch her?" Kamakiri snickered before getting smacked in the stomach by a serious Shoda.
"Right," Izuku chose to ignore the double entendre of Kamakiri's words. "Well, he said that there were relics that predated the universe, and when talked about how the Aether acted almost sentient and have immense unlimited power, it reminded me of the Tesseract."
"Which also acted like it was sentient," Momo's eyes widened as she started to see what Izuku was talking about. "And Selvig and Director Aizawa were testing how the Tesseract had the potential for unlimited energy."
"And then there was the gem in Loki's Scepter in The Avengers," Izuku pointed to the drawing of the gem. "I know it might be a stretch, but it also acted rather strangely, almost sentient, back when we were all arguing with each other in the Helicarrier." Bakugou flinched at that particular memory. "And when my counterpart asked about looking at Loki's Scepter and comparing it to a Hydra weapon, Director Aizawa said that it was powered similarly to the Tesseract."
"So, you mean to say that the Scepter's gem might also be one of these Infinity Stones?" Nezu asked, himself coming to a similar conclusion.
"Maybe, the last one is just a theory, but I have a feeling about it," Izuku admitted, both convinced and yet dreadfully in his eyes. "A bad feeling, really."
"Hmm," Nezu hummed. "Alright. In any case, would you mind making me a copy of your findings, Mr. Midoriya? I would very much like to see these for myself and see if I can find anything abnormal?"
"Yes, sir," Izuku nodded and immediately went to work, grabbing a spar notebook and writing down all the info he had already, plus the information he was meaning to write down before.
"It's really something seeing Izuku so passionate about a theory of his, huh?" Uraraka asked.
"Yeah, it is," Melissa nodded, smiling lovingly at the boy that held so much in common with her.
Uraraka noticed this and smiled, the jealousy that would normally plague her mind for once not present. "It's something that's inspiring, right?" Uraraka asked again.
Melissa turned to Uraraka, finding the hidden meaning in her words easily, and smiled back at her hopefully, soon-to-be sister. "Yes, it sure is."
"That's very wise," Tivan agreed, looking down at the Infinity Stone they delivered. Sif lifted the storage device, the Aether hissing from its containment. The pinkish-red alien spared a curious glance at the Stone yet quickly looked away.
All Might narrowed his eyes at the instrument of so much destruction and loss in his counterpart's life, the reddish glow of the box not so different from All For One's reddish-black lightning when using his infamous Quirk. And the thought of his arch nemesis then brought his mind back to the haunting face and evil smile of All For One's counterpart in this world: Thanos.
"I can assure you," The Collector took the Aether in his grasp, holding the device closer, possessively, to his chest. "It will be absolutely safe here, in My Collection."
Tsukauchi's frown squirmed and shifted to a frown, not likely the vibes he was getting from the man. His Quirk, Lie Detector, doesn't seem to work on the videos so he couldn't tell whether the man was lying, but even he didn't need his Quirk to know that there was some hidden meaning or intention behind this man.
"See that it is," Sif warned.
Tivan gave a bow. With no further business, Sif and Volstagg took their leave.
'Why do I feel like we just gave this incredibly dangerous thing to the worst person possible?' Was what both Ryukyu and Fat Gum thought.
When the sounds of the footsteps faded, The Collector raised the Aether up in front of him. "One down," The Collector said, ominously. "Five to go."
The screen went dark, and the video ended.
"Okay, if That doesn't scream 'Bad Guy Alert', I don't know what does," Kaminari pointed.
"One down. Five to Go." Iida repeated. "Does this mean that there is only 6 Infinity Stones?"
"6, the so-called perfect number," Nezu stated. "At least in mathematics, the meaning is that it is equal to the sum of its parts. In Numerology, it is considered the most powerful number."
"Well, given that these are called 'Infinity' stones, and two of our confirmed ones already possess the near-unlimited power, I'd say it's pretty fitting," Hawks replied, his frown contrasting to his chipper tone.
As Izuku wrote in his notebook, he frowned. 'If the gem in Loki's Scepter is another Infinity Stone, then that means that only half of the Stones have shown up,' Izuku thought, the fact that 2 of these Stones, much less 3, have all shown up is no coincidence. 'That means there are only 3 Stones left out there, and chances are that they may have their part to play in the movies to come. But for what purpose are these Stones all appearing? Did the Aether come into play because the Tesseract and gem in Loki's Scepter appeared, or is it the other way around? Did the Tesseract act up and Loki's Scepter's gem come into play because the Convergence, and therefore the Aether, was approaching?'
Izuku's hand stopped as one dreadful and terrifying thought sprung into his mind. 'And if there are only 6 and they do all come into play, what could happen if all 6 of them come together?'
Before Izuku's mind contemplate all the, ironically, infinite possibilities, Nezu spoke up "Well, I believe that this wraps up our time for today." A few groans can be heard from the students. "Now, now, I am aware of your desire for more, especially after quite the cliffhanger that we just left on, I myself am incredibly curious as to the endgame of all this, but you all still have school and we teachers and Heroes still have jobs to do. We'll pick up where we left off with two more movies tomorrow afternoon."
With Nezu's words said, the group began to disband, with the students gathering up to head back to the 1-B dorms. Nezu gazed as some of the Heroes look to have gathered up to 'head out for some drinks', as Vlad King stated, and after what he had to experience with two of his students and their fake deaths, the rodent Principal feel like he has earned it. Of the individuals, he caught Hawks's gaze. After a few moments of staring and acknowledgment, the Number 2 Hero rejoined the formed group and headed off.
Nezu stared at the remaining individuals near him, ones he knew would need to be present for the talk that was sure to come: a still worried and conflicted All Might, a grim-looking Gran Torino, a saddening Recovery Girl, a serious-looking Detective Tsukauchi, and the most apparent, the trio of Aizawa, Mic, and Midnight.
'This will surely be quite an interesting conversation,' Nezu concluded.
Meanwhile, as the students began to gather to head back to the dorms, two hung back under a request from one of them.
"Yes, Izuku?" Melissa asked, curious.
"Melissa, can we talk about something?" A slightly blushing Izuku asked.
AAAAANNNNNDDDDD SCENE! Oh, HALLELUJAH! IT'S FINALLY OVER! THE DARK WORLD IS OVER! Now, we can get onto more interesting and awesome movies like The Winter Soldier...after a interlude chapter of course. MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Evil laughs aside, I hope to those that I have stuck around with me during this trying ordeal of covering Thor: The Dark World like this chapter and my best attempts of making this chapter actually interesting to read. Thanks again KGBeastboy for the idea that ended up leading to that Inside Out bit, I couldn't have come up with it without you. But seriously, apologies if that bit ran a little long, I was in a particularly comedic and Inside Out mood, so this ended up happening.
Also, the bit was simply that, a bit to comedically illustrate the panic and chaos that was happening in Midoriya's mind after a 'certain mental image' was drawn up by his psyche. And as for why the green version of Midoriya was called Brainy and not Disgust, do you think that one of the five of Izuku's core personalities would be Disgust? Happy makes sense with Izuku's heroic, hopeful, and radiant side, Anger for the pent-up frustration and anger from his bullying that seeps out of Midoriya during his fights, and Bakugou's questionable influence, Fear because of Izuku's scaredy cat persona whenever Bakugou snaps and his nervousness and shyness as a result from the bullying, and Sadness because, well you get the point. But Brainy makes more sense than Disgust since Izuku is such an inquisitive and analytical soul, he could also simply be called Curious, the emotion not the Villainess.
Also, if there were any people whose heads perked up like a gazelle at Brainy saying 'repressed sexuality' this does not mean that Izuku is bisexual or anything, he is still straight, if not poly straight or whatever, it is just that his desires for things like sex and physical intimacy with the opposite gender have been negatively repressed thanks to years of bullying, teasing, and the events of the 'White Day Incident'. White Day, for those uncultured enough, isn't actually a day celebrating white people, but rather the one-month follow-up to Valentine's Day in Japan. In Japan, a month after Valentine's Day, on March 14, the girls would then give gifts of reciprocation of affection toward the guys, whereas, on Valentine's Day in Japan, it is only the guys that give gifts to the girls. This has been Cultural Facts, the More You Know, by Zayden StormVoid.
Anyways, we finally had the name drop of the Infinity Stones, as well as confirming that the Tesseract and the Aether are Infinity Stones, with the Mind Stone still needing 3 more movies to confirm that. And we had the 2nd 'Loki is alive' whammy that truly had people pointing out Marvel's tendency to revive their 'dead' characters. As for the weird title of this chapter, it is a play on the word Con, as in a con man, or conning, swindling, or tricking, referencing Loki's reveal of stealing the Throne of Asgard from Odin. A bit of word play if you will.
If anyone is wondering why I haven't given the Collector a counterpart, yet, is to wait for his more formal introduction in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 1, where he plays a more important role, and allows me to make some final choices for counterparts in the GOTG franchise. I hope you guys what I did with All Might's familial past, and since we don't have much any information involving his parents, I felt I had full creative freedom of what to do with him, showing why he doesn't talk about his family much or why we don't any of his family members, or why Nana became so much of a mother-figure to All Might: because he never met his actual mother.
Then there were changes in the movie, the first being the scene where Loki disguised himself as an einherjar in Svartalfheim which I cut out so that the whammy of his reveal as Odin would be more impactful, and the second was the post-credits, with the actual end credits and mid-credit scenes swapped, to leave The Dark World on more of a high, ominous note.
With all this said, again, hope that you guys liked this chapter, and kudos to all who suffered alongside me with this less-than-stellar movie. Comment your thoughts on what might happen in the future, like what will the teachers talk about, what will Todoroki and Camie's call go, and what will Izuku talk with Melissa about? Also, comment on your predictions for future counterpart comparisons. Check out my other stories here and on AO3 if you like, and I would also like to announce that I have made a little side project that I will release on my birthday, August 8, if possible. What could it be? You'll have to see for yourself.
This has been Zayden StormVoid, and have a Happy Fourth of July! AMERICA! FUCK YEAH! COMIN' AGAIN TO SAVE THE MOTHER FUCKING DAY NOW! AMERICA! FUCK YEAH! FREEDOM IS THE ONLY WAY, YEAH!
