The Fairy Tail group which decided to go toward the suspended mission, was composed of Team Fairy Tail A , aka Natsu, Gray, Lucy, Wendy, Happy, Carla and Erza. Of course, the latter wanted a sweet vengeance.
Before leaving, Erza told them that the dark guild she met was situated at the base of the snowy mountains, near up north.
While making their way, Wendy asked shyly to Erza « E-Erza-san. How did they beat you ? » This sounded like a whisper, fearing to bring back bad memories to Erza. Even if she know she won't get angry at her, it's still difficult for her to ask something like that.
Erza stood silent for a moment, before saying « They ambushed me. Someone among them being a bait, pretending to be a person in danger. Of course, I rushed towards them, but, then, my magic vanished. When I woke up, i was standing in the infirmary. »
The trip could be shorter, but with Natsu, who pleaded not to take the train, they decided to go on foot. Even if Wendy casted Troya, its effects would be reduced due to the number of times she it was casted. Furthemore, the base of the mountains is not that far, so using this would not be very worthy.
Natsu and Gray, as usual, started fighting multiples times. But Erza managed to stop them with only a glare or harshly calling them. They understood quickly, remembering the fact that Erza was in a bad mood since her defeat. They though it was not a good idea to continue fighting, and instead they directed their anger to the ones responsible.
Upon arrive to the mountains, they stood before a building, looking like a three-stories manor, looking old, and not maintained. A perfect place for a dark guild, or lost travelers.
« I-It's here ? » Lucy trembled. Even if she sometimes went here for a mission, she always forgot to bring a coat.
« Yes, it's- Look out ! » Erza ordered as lances made of silver rained over the mages. They all dodged the attack, before a female voice was be heard from the balcony on the 2st floor of the manor. « Already back, Titania ? »
Here stood a woman, with long white hair, red eyes and a taunting smirk. « You want to eat the dirt, or, the snow a second time ? »
Erza frowned, pointing a sword at the female. « There's a thing you don't seem to know, we fairies, won't be defeated a second time. »
But before she could attack, Gray stood before her « This technic just before, it was a Make magic, I will take care of her. »
Erza looked at Gray, then nodded and ordered the others to follow. She knew she could trust Gray if he said he can manage her. « Follow me inside ! »
The female didn't even try to stop them. She only smirked at Gray while making a Make stance « You know Ice Make magic ? Then you must be one of them. I'm Melody Silver, and, as you can guess, I'm a Silver Making mage. »
Gray took out his shirt with great swiftness, making a Make stance too, a cold wind coming out. « Gray Fullbuster, Ice Make of Fairy Tail, and I'm going to stop you now. »
« Hoo~ » Melody raised an eyebrow « Then I wish you good luck » a silver magic seal formed in front of Melody while she threw her hand forward « Silver Make : Lances » Several lances made of silver flew toward Gray.
« Ice Make : Lances » Gray perform the same mouvements, throwing his own ice lances at Melody. The two attack made contact. And while some of them destroyed each other, a numbers of silver lances passed Gray's attack, forcing him to dodge. « That was close ! »
« And it's only the begining ! Silver Make : Poles » Poles made of silver came out from the snow before Gray could react. It was a direct hit. Gray was pushed back in the air before landing on the ground « Ugh ! »
Melody's smirk only grow at Gray's situation. « Come on, that's all you got ? »
Gray stood up, still hurt by the attack. This is gonna be more difficult than planned.
The rest of the group arrive in the mansion, where 4 hooded figures stand here.
« Hey ! Assholes ! » Natsu charged head first toward the nearest figure, Happy following him. But they caught his fist and tossed him to the right side of the manor « He's mine. ». Then the enemy and Happy followed Natsu, blocking the path with a mechanism which made a brick wall appear.
Erza transformed into her flight armor, preparing to attack an another figure. She took flight, but the figure used their magic to summon wind. With the help of Erza's wings, it was far easier to control her direction, and it's toward the roof. « I'll let you the rest ». The figure use abother wind spell to propulse themsel to the hole in the roof.
Lucy is next, preparing to use one of her keys, but before she can react, the third figure grabbed her by the head and smashed her through the left wall, leaving Wendy and Carla to the last one.
« Hmm… the left, the right, and the top, it seems like only one path remains. » the last figure smiled, and opened a path behind them, inviting Wendy and Carla to follow them.
Wendy marched forward, surprising Carla « Are you sure ? »
« I'm not worried for the others, and I'm confident I can-no, I will beat them » Wendy responded with confidence.
« If you say so » naturally, Carla would follow Wendy anywhere. Even if she cannot fight for obvious reasons, she will try her best to help her friend.
Natsu fell into a room filled with water, not to the point of being flooded, but the the water is approximately one feet high, which can be a problem, not only because of the nature of Natsu's magic, but because it can slow his movements. The figure who followed him revealed themself, standing on a raft, amongst all the one present here. He was a young man, with brown eyes and black hair. « I'm Byron, and I'm a water mage, you really lucked out charging me. »
« Lucky or not, I will defeat you, then everyone else. Happy !»
« Aye sir ! » Happy took Natsu and flew above the water, there's absolutely no way to use the rafts. Natsu charged at Byron, fire erupting from his fist « Iron Fist of Fire Dragon ! »
Byron only scoffed, using a hand to create a barrier with the water present. This stopped Natsu's attack instantly, much to his annoyment.
« You won't be able to defeat me » Byron stated.
Natsu's lips curved into a smile « Let's see about that. »
