While the others were fighting in the mansion, Gray was still in front of Melody. Gray placed his fist on his palm, then hit the snowy ground « Ice Make : Geyser ! » A magic seal formed under Melody's feet. Spikes of ice rose , intending to impale her.
Melody shrugged and jumped in the air. Placing her fist on her palm, a magic seal was formed just under her boots « Silver Make : Plate ! » A long and large plate made of silver appeared, blocking the attack.
Gray anticiped that and placed his hands on the ground « Ice Make : Rising Tower ! ». A ice pole rised and towered from the ground under Gray, propulsing him toward Melody. Once in range, he created a sword made of ice « Ice Make : Cold Excalibur », he swung the sword at Melody, who couldn't react in time. She used her front arm to block the attack, leaving a huge gash on it.
« Finally ! » It was the first real injury he did. Gray landed on the ground to be prepared, but he only heared a burst of laughts.
« Huhuhuhuhahahaha... This has been such a long time since someone hurt me like that. ». She made a Make stance again, « You're far funnier than I though. I like that. »
Gray blinked few times, not understanding what just happened « You...You're a weird one »
« And I'm not the only one ! Silver Make, Hammer ! » A massive hammer made of silver appeared above Gray and threatened to crush him alive
« Holy- Ice Make : Shields » multiples ice shields was placed above Gray, hoping that they will stop the huge hammer. Unfortunately, the protections all broke before the attack.
« Ice Make : Cocoon ! » This was Gray's last resort. The hammer stroke the cocoon at full force, resulting to both of them to broke. Gray slided backward, but saw 2 magic seals at his sides, both larger that him « What the- »
« Silver Make : Crushing walls ! » Two walls were created from the seals. Melody then moved her arms to their other sides, ordering the walls to approach Gray at full speed. The only thing he could do is close his eyes and hoping it's will be less hurtful than he thought. But instead of hearing a crush, he heard a bang, two even. And when he opened his eyes, he saw the two walls, only a few inches from him, with a hole in one of them, before they shattered in pieces.
« Who the hell ? » Melody was dumbfounded. She didn't even saw where the attack came from. She looked around, searching the mysterious attacker, before another bang was heared. She saw the bullet coming, but it pierced through her right shoulder, making it unusuable « ?! »
« It will be harder to attack now. » Said a voice from behind. He was a man with messy black hair, blue eyes, a long sleeves shirt, black pants and a smug face, he was holding a sniper rifle on his shoulder too. « Seriously, you have difficulties with her ? Huh you are more pathethic than I though »
This remark only added frustrations to Gray « This battle is none of you're business, get off. »
« Hoo, but I'm not here for her, I've heard that Titania has been defeated by these losers, so I come to see that, but the others insisted to come with me, while myself am more than enough, but I let you continue that, now she is handicaped, she must be on your level now. See ya » the male said while making his way toward tha mansion.
Natsu had quite some problems with his adversary. Even if he had the aerial advantage with Happy, the other had the advantage of the terrain.
« Grrr... When will you stop blocking ? Come attack me ! »
« Well...if you want. Water Tendril » From under the duo, water took the shape of a tendril and threat to pierce Natsu. Happy remarked that and flied to evade the tendril which pursuit them, but-
« Water wall » A wall of water blocked the path of Natsu and Happy, forcing them to stop. The tendril then pierced Natsu's ankle and slammed him multiples times on the walls and the roof, before throwing them towards one of the rafts.
« Natsu » Happy was detached from Natsu during the attack, and flew toward him. But a giant water arm grabbed him and tossed him to the wall, stuning him.
« H-Happy... » Nastu tried to move, but when he landed on a raft it tipped over from the shock. Natsu's face became white,then blue, trying not to vomit.
« Hahahaha... So that's the salamander ? The one who defeated the Twin Dragons ? That was more easy than beating Titania. » The male then bursted in laughter.
« Urgh..d-do- »
« Huh ? You want to say your last words ? »
« D-Don't e-ever...t-talk to...urgh » Natsu standed up slowly, the black mage watching him with a grin
« D-don't talk to Erza like that ever again ! » Natsu was finally on his feet, but his legs were shaking thanks to the motion sickness.
« He...look at you, you can't even landed on a little raft. I think it's time to finish this »
The man lifted his arms, the water around him took the forms of multiples tendrils, with the tips sharps, intending to give the final blow
« See you in hell, Salamander » He was about to attack, whe, he felt a burning sensation on his back. This caused the tendrils to disappear, and when he turned back
« Shadow Dragon's Claw » A shadow clawed the face and chest's man, he recoiled from the hit and fell in the water.
Natsu decided to fell in the water too to not be sick anymore. When he emerged, he rushed toward the unconscious Happy, before turning his head toward the previous location of his enemy. And growled.
The one responsible of the attack was a man with black hair, purple eyes. He was dressed principaly in black sleevless shirt, pants, coat and boots.
« I didn't want any help ! » Natsu shouted
« Wathever, if it was without me, you could probably be dead. But the mission is not over, so I go » The man said before turning back. Before the black mage emerged from the water, injured and pissed
« You little shi- » He stop yelled when a katana pierced his gut. His eyes became white, before falling again, floating.
Natsu was not happy about his foe being taken from him « Takeru...I'll fight with you later, I must found Erza first » He was about to leave the room too, Happy in his arms, before hearing a tremor from above. A crash came from the room, and a body fell.
Erza surprised his enemy with her swords at point blank range. She changed into the Flight Armor once again, two swords at hands, one of them being the Flame Sword. She charged the black mage, cornered by the two attacks.
He extended both arms, one in each side, using his wind to push them aside.
« I know how your magic works » The Flame Sword start to ignite, he slashed at the flames with his wind, causing the flames to scatter, covering a larger radius.
« You're a elemental mage. Your magic may be polyvalent, but each of them has a weakness »
The flying swords were only here to cause panic. The flames engulfed him, causing him to scream in pain. But Erza didn't stop there. She standed at ground level, swords crossed, and slashed his chest. This pushed the man in the air against his will.
Erza used his armor ability to fly above him, preparing her final blow
« I've warned your comrade that us Fairies cannot be defeated twice. Pentagram Sword ! »
She sliced the man with her swords, taking the shape of a pentagram. The black mage flew through the floor, one after the other. When Erza flew through the hole, she found herself in a room filled with water, and a number of raft. Her adversary, was on the water, floating like his comrade. She spotted Natsu, with Happy in his arms, about to leave this place « Erza ! »
Erza pointed, a sword at the other black mage, a smile on her lips « I suppose you're the one behind that, good job Natsu. »
Natsu only shrugged and shook his head « That wasn't me, it was one of them. »
« Oh... » Erza's eyes narrowed, like the others, she didn't seem really happy to know they were here. But who are these people ? You will see that soon enough.
Wendy is against the female who dared to punch Carla with such violence. They stared each other before the female placed a hand on her mouth
« Oh my, i totally forgot to introduce myself. I'm Veronica, you must be Wendy, nice to meet you. Now, I will put you in the same state than your cat, it's gonna be a pleasure to hear you scream » she said calmly with a smile, almost innocently.
Wendy stared at her with hate, before closing her eyes, and exhaling « Sorry to disapointed you, but provoking me don't work well with me » She extend her arms to the sides « Arms, Vernier ! »
Her body glow in two colors, one after the other, increasing her speed and power. She sprinted toward Veronica, wind around her right hand
« Sky Dragon's Claw ! » She clawed at Veronica, but she leaped to the side, evading the attack.
« Force Push ! » Veronica extended her hand forward, a force pushing Wendy to the opposing wall « Aah ! »
Veronica used her other hand to grab a portion of the wall. She threw her hand toward Wendy, a telekinetic force send the rock at Wendy.
Wendy's eye widened at the sight of the attack, but she puffed her cheeks with air.
« Sky Dragon's Roar ! » From her mouth, a funnel of wind was released, pulverising the rock. But from behind, Veronica charged at her, an arm backward, with a purple mist surrounded it
« ! »Wendy dodge jus at time while the arm tearing through her coat and destroying the wall, revealing the snowy recoil from her adversary, close range won't be a good idea from now.
Veronica's smile only grew bigger « Yes, that look, when you know that one touch, one mistake, and you're done » She licked her lips and concentrate her magic through her hand, she created a sphere of very concentrate poison, ready to melt her foe. She threw the sphere at Wendy
Wendy toss her coat aside, waited a moment, and run through the sphere. Once she was at good distance, she slided under the poisoned sphere, and once at point blank.
« Sky Dragon's Wind Attack » Wendy extended her arms, sharp wind surrounded them, she sliced her arms at Veronica's chest, causing her to cry in pain « Ugh... ! ». Wendy catched her up and bended her fingers « Sky Dragon's Crushing Fangs ! » She attacked Veronica with sharp wind which looked like fangs. The black mage hit the ground, defeated.
Wendy panted from the magic exhaustion, but smiled noneless from her improvement through her time at Fairy Tail. She ran at Carla, placing her palm on her friend's body, a soft glow emited from them. After a moment, Carla's eyes re-open, « W-Wendy ? »
« Carla ! » Wendy hugged Carla tightly, a bit too much for the Exceed
« Err...I-I can't breathe » Carla said with a strangled voice. She looked at Veronica's defeated body and smiled. I'm so proud of you.
Lucy stared at the male with a slight of unhappiness. He had spiky brown hair, and wore blue jeans, a feather jacket, and snickers
« Hey ! You disturbed our fight ! » The black mage shouted, discontended by the interruption of that man »
« He's right, Luke. I totally can take care of that guy myself. » Lucy said, pouting. « And, why are you there ? »
« Is that so ? Because it's not what I've seen so far. I'd even said you were at disavantage » Luke respond « And for your question, we heard that Erza Scarlet has been defeated, so Reve immediately ran to see her face, and Tak and I wanted to come too. »
This only irritated Lucy more « So, you guys come here only to mocking us ? »
« Hey ! You can dispute later, lovebirds, but we have a fight to finish ! » The man tapoed impatiently his foot.
« Water Prison » Luke extended his palm, without even looking at him. The male was trapped in a sphere made of water without even realising what's happening to him.
« Lightning Lance » A lance appeared on Luke's other hand, tossed it toward the Water Prison. It landed in the man's stomach, and electrified the water. The male's screams are muffled, before the two attacks stopped, the black mage on the ground, defeated.
« Well, it's not that I don't want to see you, but I think there's more of them. » Luke want out of the room, waving his hand.
Lucy put her hand on her chin, in her though. One for Natsu, me, Erza, the one outside for Gray and Wendy, but none of them seems to be the one who defeated Erza. He's probably the leader.
Lucy though while making her way to the hall, where everyone reassembled.
