Hey everyone how's it going?
Now here we are in part 1 of Ash vs Noland.
Also I like to make a little update I've decided to make the side story of mastermind of Mirage Pokémon (my version) come a bit later as I learned that Pikachu doesn't learn Volt tackle until May gets an Eevee egg later. So I will put a pin in it for now.
Now then have you guessed which ones that Ash will be using in the 4 on 4 battle with Noland?
Well then prepare to be surprised.
Also there will be a list of who will be in Ash's harem at the end right now it's slowly starting to form but in time the numbers will grow.
But I will say this once Ash wins the tactics symbol the giant Haunter known as Black fog will appear and start raising hell and Ash and the others will have to stop it.
Another there will be some chapters that will skip some parts but I will put some info in when I get to chapter 25.
Also I will tell you all this in ch22 or 26 Jessie's Seviper will have learn 2 new moves but I ain't telling which ones.
Also I will say that Silver will pop up around chapter 24.
Also I would like to thank Jay1414, my friend Jacob for guessing the right answers to the clues I left on the last chapter.

Chapter 17: Ash vs Noland, fighting for knowledge part 1
(last time, our heroes new journey continues to unfold, they find themselves on the express route to the first area of the battle frontier. The impressive battle factory home to the factory head Noland, also they met the legendary Pokémon Articuno and after dealing with Team Rocket, Ash decided to battle Noland in a 4 on 4 battle with Venasaur, Rhyhorn, Machamp and Articuno, so Ash called Liza to send his Charizard enabling him to counter ice with fire. It'll be the first of many tests yet to come, but to beat Noland's team and his Articuno Ash will need to be at his very best cause taking on a legendary Pokémon will not be easy.)
The morning sun rises up over the horizon near the battle factory as Charizard soars in the sky with Ash and Pikachu on his back.
"Ok Charizard practice going from a steep dive to steep climb." Said Ash.
Charizard roared as he dove down into the forest at great speed, Ash and Pikachu held on as Charizard dove into the woods and then turn and flew over the water making some waves and then climb back into the sky at a fast speed.
"That was great, I see you've been training is that right?" said Ash.
"Pika-Pika!" said Pikachu with Charizard grunting in agreement.
"How about you show me some of your attacks okay?" said Ash. "Let's see flamethrower."
Charizard let out a big growl as he fired a big stream of fire coming from his mouth and it was even stronger than before.
May, Max, Brock and Dante watched from on top of the battle factory seeing all of that happening.
"Whoa look at that." Said Max.
"Amazing." Added May.
"Charizard is even more powerful now than before back in the Johto league championships." Max added.
"Yeah probably from going up the other Charizard in the Charicific Valley." Said Brock.
"I wonder why Ash left it there and missed all that time they can be training together?" said May.
"He thought getting strength was the most important to it, so he send to it to Liza and told her to make it the strongest Charizard in the world. Let's see if it's work." Said Brock.
"I hope so." Said Max.
"It's pretty cool huh, those two must be happy to be together again." Replied May.
"Yes but let's see what they bring to the battle." Said Dante.
"Dragon breath Charizard go!" said Ash.
Charizard opened his mouth and fired a green and yellow beam and made a hole in the clouds.
"Whoa your power seems excellent! You're a lot stronger no doubt about that." Said Ash impressed.
"Pika-Pika!" said Pikachu with Charizard grunting in agreement.
"Now next up, let me see some high altitude flying." Ash said.
Charizard roared as he flew higher in the sky with great speed that surprised May and Max.
"Wow just look at that speed." Said May.
"It flew up there so fast I could barely even see it." Added Max.
Meanwhile Team Rocket were watching them from their binoculars.
"Well, well, well if it isn't the twerp's Charizard." Said Jessie.
"I can still feel the scorch marks from our last encounter." Said James.
"I guess since he's going up against a bad boy Pokémon like Articuno, he had to fight fire with real fire." Added Meowth.
Meowth said "This should be a good battle, let's have lunch and watch, James made egg salad." And brought out a lunch box.
Jessie then criticize Meowth and James about not winning and being dedicated to food than to evil and James said he worked hard on their lunch and Meowth said even bad guys need to eat.
But Jessie wag her finger and told them about catching Articuno, they let Charizard tire out Articuno and they swooped in and snatch it up.
"You really think it would be that easy?" said James.
"Of course it will! The best plan are always the simplest plan." Said Jessie.
"How true." Said James.
"Yeah but what if Articuno wins? No way we can capture it at full power." said Meowth.
"If Articuno wins then we just capture Charizard." Said Jessie.
That motivated James and Meowth saying that they can capture one of them if they're worn out and they began to their plan into motion and make their getaway and Wobbuffet popped out.
(At the battle Factory)
Ash and his friends along with Scott were walking with Sergio to the main battle arena for today's match and when they got there it was huge.
Ash ran up to his side of the arena and looked around "This is so cool! I can hardly wait to start my battle."
"The construction and the lighting were specifically design for that purpose." Said Scott.
"Yep we're ready to go." Said Ash.
"Hello Ash." Called a voice.
Ash looked to Noland walking to the platform on his side of the arena.
"I hope our battlefield is everything you're expected." Said Noland.
"Sure is Noland." Said Ash.
"It's been a while since I had a top notch opponent, I hope you realize that I won't hold back. I'll be giving this everything I got." Noland.
Ash nodded his head "that's what I'm expecting." He said.
"Articuno!" shouted Noland.
Just then there was a squawk and flying around the arena was the legendary Pokémon Articuno who flew around before coming in for a landing and landed on the arena floor as blue snow sparkles around showing its power and radiance to everyone.
"Wow I've never seen a more awesome Pokémon." Said Max.
"It's really beautiful that's for sure." Said May.
"My turn." Said Ash getting a Pokéball out. "So come on out Charizard!" he said throwing it.
Out comes Charizard who let out a roar letting everyone know he was ready to fight.
"That's one fine Charizard, but I hope you didn't chose it thinking that type alone gives you an advantage over me." Said Noland.
"Of course not this will get decided by our abilities." Said Ash.
"Let's head up to the stands, we'll get a better view from there, an epic battle like this one doesn't come along very often." Said Scott.
The others agreed it was a good idea and they followed Scott to the stands.
Outside on the roof of the battle factory were team rocket who managed to climb their way to the top.
As Jessie and James complained, Meowth explained the plan to get Articuno.
He said that underneath the roof Charizard and Articuno will be battling and they cut a hole in the ceiling and sooner or later Articuno will fly higher to the top when it does they grabbed it and make their getaway.
Jessie and James like the idea as it was evil and scheming.
They got blow torches and began cutting a hole on the roof.
Back in the arena Scott, Brock, May, Max and Dante were in the stands waiting for the match to begin.
"Wow Articuno vs Charizard kind of a dream matchup isn't it." Said Max.
"Yeah this should be good I never actually seen these two battle." Put in Brock.
"Get him Ash you can do it!" said May.
"Let's see what you got Ash." Said Dante.
"We will now begin this frontier battle between battle factory brain Noland and the challenger Ash from Pallet town. Also by the challenger's request, each side will use up to 4 Pokémon and the battle will be over when one side's Pokémon is unable to continue the battle, furthermore only challenger may switch his Pokémon the frontier brain will not." Said Sergio.
Just then sounds of machine whirring was heard as everyone looked up to see the roof was opening up.
"The roof is opening up." Said Max.
"Oh wow." Said May surprised.
"The roof is actually my idea, we wanted an arena to be the only one of its kind. By opening the ceiling for air battles, we make sure that flying Pokémon can have room to use their full potential." Said Scott.
Jessie, James and Meowth were freaking out as the roof was opening and they were surprised and losing their grip and they fell from the roof and landed on the arena below.
"Team Rocket!" said May.
"What are you doing here?!" shouted Max.
Jessie: "Prepare for we just dropped in."
James: "Make it double Jess take a spin."
"An evil as old as galaxy..."
"Sent here to fulfill our destiny!"
"Plus, there's me!"
"To denounce the evils of truth and love!"
"To extend our reach to the stars above!"
"Jessie!"
"And James!"
"And Meowth are the names!"
"Anywhere there's peace in the universe..."
"Team Rocket will be there..."
"To make everything worse!"
"Wobbuffet!"
"Chime!"
"Alright change of plan we have to force to take Articuno." Said Jessie.
"Right!" said James and Meowth.
"Get out of here Team Rocket!" said Ash with Pikachu agreeing.
"Arbok Seviper come out!" said Jessie.
"You too Weezing!" followed James.
Out came Seviper, Arbok and Weezing ready to battle.
Just then Pidgey came from May's Pokéball chirping and ready to fight.
"Pidgey why did you come out? You want to battle?" asked May and Pidgey nodded it's head.
"Ok then go!" she said and Pidgey flew into battle.
"Arbok, Seviper use wrap on that Articuno!" Said Jessie.
"CHAR! SEVIPER!" the snake Pokémon moved in to catch Articuno.
"Pidgey use Aerial Ace on Arbok!" said May.
Pidgey moved fast covered in white streaks and hit Arbok sending it flying.
"Crobat use air cutter!" said Dante throwing his Pokéball and out comes the bat pokémon.
Crobat fired S shaped waves and stopping Seviper in its tracks.
"Weezing use sludge bomb!" called James.
Weezing fired a barrage of brown sludge from its mouth and it coming towards Crobat.
"Pidgey use gust to send it back!" shouted May.
Pidgey flapped it's wings to make strong winds blowing the sludge bomb right back at team rocket and they got hit.
"Articuno use ice beam!" said Noland.
Articuno then fired a blue beam of cold energy that hit and froze Team Rocket and their Pokemon on the spot.
"Could someone turn up the heat?" they said.
"I will Flamethrower!" said Ash.
Charizard let out some red-orange flames and it melted them from the ice.
"That'll do." Said team rocket.
"Now Pikachu thunderbolt!" said Ash.
Pikachu jumped in the air and then fired a blast of electricity that shock Team Rocket and sending them and their Pokémon out of the factory.
Team Rocket complained about their latest failure and then Wobbuffet popped out and then they said "Looks like Team Rocket is blasting off again!" and they vanished with a twinkle in the distance.
"Now then we can finally start this match!" said Noland.
"Right ready when you are!" said Ash.
"Articuno fly up here until I need you. You can watch the battle." Said Noland.
"You too Charizard." Said Ash.
Both Pokémon nodded and flew up and landed next to their trainers.
Noland then picked up a Pokéball in his hand.
"Ok Ash let's see if you can handle my first choice go Rhyhorn!" he said and threw the ball.
Out comes Rhyhorn who let out a roar and moved its foot on the ground ready to charge.
"So Rhyhorn is Noland's first choice then I know who to start with." Said Ash.
May then took out her Pokédex to scan Rhyhorn.
'Rhyhorn, the Spikes Pokémon. Rhyhorn is known for its physical power and its considerable offensive and defensive battle skills. Its bones are 1,000 times harder than human bones. Using its durability and strength, it can destroy tall buildings.'
"Whoa Rhyhorn can do that?!" said May surprised.
"Yep and I should know I tangled with a few myself." Said Dante.
Ash then took the PokéBall off his belt and made it grow.
'I hope you're ready old friend cause this will be our first battle since the indigo plateau, but I know you can do it.' Ash thought.
"I choose you Kingler!" said Ash throwing the ball.
"CoOKIe cOOkiE!" said the pincer Pokémon coming out.
"So Ash is using Kingler then interesting." Said Dante.
May then used her Pokédex to scan Kingler.
'Kingler, the Pincer Pokémon the evolved form of Krabby. A Pincer Pokémon whose crushing claws can pinch with the power of 10,000 horsepower. but because of its weight, it is difficult to aim.'
"So Kingler then a water type is a good match against a rock and ground type like Rhyhorn." Said Max.
"True but this one has some tricks we need to watch out for." Said Brock.
"Battle begin!" said Sergio.
"Rhyhorn use take down!" said Noland.
Rhyhorn bellowed and charged straight towards Kingler.
"Kingler use Harden!" said Ash.
Kingler glowed white as its body got stiff and it's defense increased and was able to withstand Rhyhorn's take down when it hit Kingler.
"Kingler knock it back with Crabhammer!" Said Ash.
Kingler's left claw glow white and swung it and smack into Rhyhorn's face making skate across the arena dealing a lot of damage.
"Rhyhorn horn attack!" said Noland.
Rhyhorn growled and charged straight towards Kingler with its horn pointed at it.
Ash saw that coming, "Kingler use bubble attack!" he said.
Kingler shoots out blue bubbles from its mouth and hit Rhyhorn good stopping it's attack and cause even more damage and lowered it's speed a bit.
"Wow Kingler landed its mark twice!" said Brock.
"first Harden, then Crabhammer and Bubble, Kingler has the advantage." Said Max.
"That may be true but Rhyhorn isn't done yet." Said Dante.
"Way to go Kingler!" cheered Ash.
Kingler said "Cookie cOOkie." In agreement but then Ash noticed some sparks coming from Rhyhorn and knew what it meant it was going to use an electric attack.
"Now to shock your system Ash, Rhyhorn use Thunderbolt!" said Noland.
"ROAR!" roared Rhyhorn as its body was covered in electricity and then fires a powerful bolt of yellow lightning from its body.
Everyone was shocked to see Rhyhorn use thunderbolt and Kingler was at a huge disadvantage.
"Kingler get away from the Thunderbolt now!" shouted Ash.
Kingler noticed it and then it dug underground in time and avoided the thunderbolt.
"What?" shouted Noland surprised.
"What just happened?" said May.
"I think Kingler used Dig." Said Dante.
"I think you're right Dante." Said Brock.
Rhyhorn grunted as it looked for Kingler but couldn't see it and it didn't noticed the ground cracking beneath it.
"Kingler uppercut Crabhammer!" said Ash.
Kingler then burst through the ground and hit Rhyhorn in the gut with a Crabhammer sending it flying surprising everyone.
Rhyhorn landed on the ground panting hard after getting hit by Crabhammer.
"Rhyhorn can you still battle?" said Noland and Rhyhorn grunted and nodded it's head.
"Ok then use take down!" he said.
Rhyhorn bellowed and charged towards Kingler at full speed.
"Kingler let's show Noland one of your newest move use Icy wind!" shouted Ash.
"KOoKIEEE!" shouted Kingler as it released a wind with light blue sparkles inside from its mouth and hit Rhyhorn squared on dealing some damage, lowering its speed more.
"No Rhyhorn!" shouted Noland.
Rhyhorn was getting tired and it took a lot of damage from Kingler's attacks but it was still standing.
"Ok Rhyhorn try one last thunderbolt!" said Noland.
Rhyhorn gathered electricity and fired a blast of lightning and it managed to strike Kingler dealing damage.
Kingler winced in pain but it still hanged on.
"Kingler finished this off with a hyper beam!" said Ash.
Kingler's eyes glow light blue, and it fires a charged beam of orange light from its left claw and it struck Rhyhorn hard.
"Rhyhorn!" said Noland.
Rhyhorn bellowed as it got launched and it slammed into the arena's wall and then collapsed on the ground with swirly eyes.
"Rhyhorn is unable to battle, Kingler is the winner!" Sergio said raising his left hand.
"Alright Kingler you did it we won the first match!" said Ash.
"PIKA-PIKA!" said Pikachu happily.
Charizard roared in joy for his friend.
Kingler smiled and moved its claws up and down in joy of winning.
Pidgey chirped in excitement and Crobat flew around smiling.
"Wow I never thought Kingler would pulled a win from its claws." Said Dante.
"Wow Kingler was able to do that and got a win is amazing!" said Max.
"That was impressive, Ash thinking like that and defeating Rhyhorn, now let's see how he handles Noland's next Pokémon." Said Scott.
"Rhyhorn return!" said Noland recalling it.
"You did good out there." He said placing the ball on his back.
"Well Ash that was good, you got yourself a good Pokémon in Kingler but let's see if you can beat this one, Come on out Machamp!" said Noland throwing the 2nd Pokéball.
And outcomes the fighting Pokémon Machamp.
"MACHAMP!" it said flexing its muscles.
"Oh boy that Machamp looks strong." Said Ash as he got his Pokédex out to check it out.
'Machamp the Superpower Pokémon, the evolved form of Machoke. Machamp has the power to hurl anything aside. However, trying to do any work requiring care and dexterity causes its arms to get tangled. This Pokémon tends to leap into action before it thinks. One arm alone can move mountains. Using all four arms, this Pokémon fires off awesome punches. The belt around its waist limit it strength but it will go out of control if its removed.'
(that Machamp might know Thunder Punch and that can be bad for Kingler and my flying Pokémon but still I have to take that chance and beat it) Ash thought.
Ash sees that Kingler is worn from its battle from Rhyhorn and that hyper beam took a lot out of it and so he made a choice.
"Kingler return!" said Ash recalling it.
(I got to choose wisely.) he thought.
He was going to use Pidgeot but then remember of what Professor Oak told him at the Pokémon center.
(Flashback at the Pokémon center)
"Ok Ash I send you the Pokémon you asked for." Said Oak.
"Thank you Professor Oak and don't worry we'll win this." Said Ash as he about to hang up.
"Wait Ash I need to tell you something!" said Oak making Ash stopped.
"What is it Professor?" asked Ash.
"Look I want you to watch Butterfree closely, there's a lot on its mind and it hasn't got closure yet and so I want you to contact me after the match ok?" said Oak in a concern tone.
"Alright Professor." Said Ash and the call was cut.
Ash then held Butterfree's Pokeball in his hand.
"I know you will do your best Butterfree but I hope you can put your personal issues aside for the match." Said Ash.
Pikachu was worried for Butterfree as well.
"Come on Pikachu let's go." Said Ash and Pikachu hopped on his shoulder and headed for the factory.
(End of Flashback)
Ash then took a deep breath and took his stance.
"Ok Butterfree I choose you!" said Ash.
Butterfree came out chirping and taking flight.
"So he's going with Butterfree then." Said Dante.
"That's an odd choice for Ash to make." Said May.
"Yeah Butterfree is a bug and flying type and while it may have an advantage over Machamp how will Butterfree beat it?" Max asked.
"Well we'll find out." Said Brock.
Butterfree then turn its head to Ash.
"Butterfree I know that you still have a lot on your mind but I want you to do your best ok?" said Ash and Butterfree nodded.
"Battle Begin!" said Sergio.
"Machamp use Karate chop!" said Noland.
Machamp moved in with its arms crossed ready to hit Butterfree.
"Butterfree dodge it!" said Ash.
Butterfree dodge the karate chop in time and got above it.
"Now Butterfree use Psybeam!" said Ash.
Butterfree fired a multicolored beam from its eyes and it struck Machamp hard dealing a lot of damage.
"Whoa Butterfree didn't do that before!" said Brock surprised.
Machamp got hit hard from Psybeam but it was still able to battle.
"Machamp shake it off and use Cross chop!" shouted Noland.
Machamp crosses its top two arms to form an "X" and its arms start to glow and then it managed to hit Butterfree with its crossed arms.
"Butterfree are you ok?!" said Ash.
Butterfree chirped saying it was fine and shook it off.
"OK then now show Machamp your Aerial Ace!" said Ash.
Butterfree flies towards Machamp surrounded by white streaks and it flies down and slams into Machamp making it skated across the arena.
"Machamp are you alright?" asked Noland.
"Champ." It answered.
"Good now to step it up use Bulk up!" said Noland.
Machamp's body becomes surrounded in a crimson aura and he flexes his body, causing his muscles to thicken for a few moments.
"WHAT!?" said Ash and Dante shocked.
Everyone knew that bulk up can increase the attack and defense of a Pokémon and their moves and now that Machamp has bulked up its attacks will be stronger.
"Now Machamp Flamethrower!" said Noland.
Machamp then releases a red-orange stream of fire from its mouth and it was heading towards Butterfree.
"Butterfree dodge it!" said Ash in a panicked voice.
Butterfree was able to dodge the attack in time and now it was mad, so mad that it was letting off some purple powder from its wings.
"Huh?" said Ash as he noticed it and then get his Pokédex out to see what move it was.
"So you learn that move then? All right then let's do this Butterfree." Said Ash.
"Machamp flamethrower again!" said Noland.
"CHAMMMMP!" Machamp said firing another one.
"Butterfree dodge it and use poison powder!" said Ash.
Butterfree flapped its wings hard and purple powder came from the wings and it was heading towards Machamp and if it makes contacts it'll be poisoned.
"Nice try Ash, Machamp use flamethrower to stop that poison powder!" said Noland.
Machamp fired another flamethrower and this time it burned the poison powder and it managed to struck Butterfree dealing a lot of damage.
"Butterfree no!" shouted Ash.
Butterfree didn't get a burn but it took a lot of damage.
"Now Machamp finish it off with cross chop!" said Noland.
Machamp moved in with its glowing arms in a cross and it was coming close.
Ash saw that Butterfree was in trouble and he had to make a choice.
"Butterfree return!" said Ash recalling it in time to avoid Machamp's attack.
"Whoa never thought Ash would do that." Said Max.
"Yeah why did Ash recall Butterfree?" May pondered.
'I know why you did that Ash' Dante thought. 'So what is your next move?'
Ash thought for a moment and deciding his next more he could pick Charizard but then he'll be worn out and Articuno will beat him.
So he decided to go with the other choice.
"Ok Pidgeot go!" said Ash.
Out comes Pidgeot the bird Pokémon letting out a battle cry as it took flight.
"So Ash you have a Pidgeot still that won't beat me and Machamp." Said Noland.
"We'll see Noland, Pidgeot use Gust!" said Ash.
Pidgeot flapped its wings and whipped up a strong wind that hit Machamp hard.
"Machamp counter with Flamethrower!" said Noland.
Machamp fired another blast of red-orange fire at Pidgeot.
"Pidgeot use agility to dodge and then Aerial Ace!" shouted Ash.
Pidgeot increased its speed to dodge the attack and then flew up and then swooped down covered in streaks of white light and slammed into Machamp.
Machamp felt a lot of pain and was panting hard and was sweating.
"Machamp!" said Noland surprised and worried.
"Ok Pidgeot finish Machamp off with your quick attack!" said Ash.
Pidgeot moved fast with great speed leaving a white light trail behind it and slammed into Machamp's chest hard sending it flying into the wall.
"Machamp!" Noland cried.
Machamp groaned as it tried to pry itself from the wall but the moment it did it fell forward and landed on the ground with its arms spread out and have swirly eyes.
"Machamp is unable to battle! Pidgeot wins!" said Sergio.
"Alright way to go Pidgeot!" said Ash.
"Pika-Pikachu!" said Pikachu.
Pidgeot squawked happily as it flew around the arena even Charizard was impressed.
"Wow Pidgeot show no mercy in the fight." Said Brock.
"Yeah and Ash was able win the 2nd round." Said Max.
"Right and he needs 2 more to win." Said May.
"True but let's see how he handles the 3rd match." Said Dante.
"Machamp return." Noland said recalling it. "You put up a great battle now get some rest."
"Ash that was some strategy using Butterfree and then bringing it Pidgeot to beat Machamp was good, but you still need to get past this one, come out Venasaur!" said Noland.
Noland brought out Venasaur the final evolved form of Bulbasaur and judging by the size of it, it's well trained and very strong.
"So that's Noland's Venasaur it looks strong and I know Pidgeot can take it but I think Butterfree deserves another chance." Ash thought.
"Pidgeot return!" said Ash recalling it.
"You did well old friend but have a rest, now Butterfree I choose you!" said Ash sending Butterfree out.
Butterfree came out a bit rested and ready to fight.
"Butterfree you ready to go?" asked Ash.
"FREEEEE-FREEEEE!" said Butterfree meaning yes.
"Ok then let's go!" said Ash.
"Begin!" said Sergio.
"Venasaur vine whip!" said Noland.
Venasaur launched some slender dark green vines at Butterfree.
"Butterfree dodge it and use Psybeam!" said Ash.
Butterfree flew high to escape vine whip and then fired a multicolored beam from its eyes and it struck Venasaur on the flower on its back.
"VENASAUR!" It bellowed taking some damage and Noland grunted.
"Yeah direct hit on that!" said Max.
"Butterfree is doing amazing!" added May.
"Since Venasaur is a poison type as well as a grass type it make sense for it to be weak against psychic types." Said Brock.
"Yep and Ash is using that to his advantage." Added Scott.
"But it ain't over till the last move is used." Said Dante.
"Ok Butterfree use Stun spore!" said Ash.
Butterfree then flapped its wings spreading some golden dust and it was heading towards Venasaur.
"I don't think so Ash, Venasaur counter with Petal Dance!" said Noland.
"SAUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!" it roared as it released multiple pink petals in a twister like fashion at the opponent from the opening in its flower and stopped the stun spore in its tracks.
"WHAT?" said Ash.
"Now Razor Leaf!" shouted Noland.
Venasaur launches multiple razor-sharp leaves from the leaves on its back and this time it struck Butterfree hard.
"BUTTERFREE!" shouted Ash.
Butterfree chirped as it took damage.
"Butterfree hang in there and use Aerial Ace!" said Ash.
Butterfree regained control and flew towards Venasaur while being covered in streaks of white light.
"Venasaur dodge that and use Sludge bomb!" said Noland.
Venasaur used the vine whips to launched itself out of Butterfree's attack and landed behind it and releases multiple brown globs of sludge from its mouth at Butterfree.
"Butterfree get out of the way!" shouted Ash.
Butterfree was able to avoid the first wave of sludge bomb.
"Try again Venasaur!" said Noland.
Venasaur fired another sludge bomb and Butterfree barely avoided the 2nd wave and Venasaur was getting mad.
"Venasaur use vine whip to catch Butterfree and then use sludge bomb!" said Noland.
Venasaur launched a vine whip that caught Butterfree and then fired another sludge bomb but this time it managed hit Butterfree dead on.
"No Butterfree!" shouted Ash.
Pikachu was worried, even Charizard was and he grip the bars tightly.
Butterfree was hurt by sludge bomb but something else happened, purple bubbles came out and a dark purple mark appeared on its face.
"Crap Butterfree's poisoned!" said Ash.
Butterfree got back in the air but was moving a bit slowly due to the poison in its system.
"Now Venasaur Razor Leaf!" said Noland.
Venasaur fired a barrage of razor leaves and it struck Butterfree hard!
"FREEEEEEEEEE!" it cried in pain.
"Butterfree hold on!" shouted Ash.
"Now Petal Dance!" Noland shouted.
Venasaur fired some pink petals in a twister at Butterfree.
"Butterfree you got to get out of the way!" shouted Ash.
Butterfree still poisoned was able to dodge petal dance in time but it felt its energy drained a bit more.
Ash was now worried, thanks to Venasaur's sludge bomb attack it was poisoned and now thanks to that and getting hit from Venasaur's attacks things aren't looking good.
"What do I do? I know that Butterfree is poisoned but it can't keep up like this forever and if I switch out my other Pokémon they'll get poisoned as well, what do I do?" Ash thought in frustration.
Butterfree was struggling against the poison and was flying low and thought about giving up.
Pikachu was worried for Butterfree as well but their train of thoughts were stopped by a loud roar from Charizard.
"ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!"
Everyone turned to see Ash's Charizard roaring at Butterfree and were surprised.
(Activate Pokémon translate)
(SO IS THAT IT BUTTERFREE? ARE YOU GOING TO LET ASH AND EVERYONE DOWN?) Charizard said to it.
(BUT I'M TRYING CHARIZARD BUT IT'S HARD.) Said Butterfree.
(I KNOW IT'S HARD BUT ARE YOU GOING TO LET ASH, ME AND EVERYONE DOWN CAUSE YOU GOT POISONED?) Charizard said angrily.
Butterfree looked at Charizard surprised.
(I KNOW IT'S HARD AND PAINFUL TO GET HIT WITH POSION, BUT YOU'RE ALSO ASH'S Pokémon, THE FIRST ONE HE CAUGHT ON HIS JOURNEY AND I KNOW WHAT IS LIKE TO BE IN LOVE AND I KNOW THE PAIN AS WELL.) Said Charizard.
Butterfree and Pikachu were surprised and so were May's Pidgey and Dante's Crobat.
(I KNOW YOU'RE STILL HAVEN'T MADE PEACE WITH YOURSELF YET, BUT IF YOUR MATE THE PINK BUTTERFREE WAS STILL HERE AND SAW YOU LIKE THIS WHAT WOULD YOU DO?) Said Charizard.
Butterfree was shocked when Charizard said that, but it remembered that whenever it was going up against some tough odds the pink Butterfree will tell it to believe in itself and find a way to overcome the odds and win.
Butterfree then got a determined look on its face.
(YOU'RE RIGHT.) Said Butterfree finding the strength. (I WON'T FAIL, I WON'T LET MY LOVE, ASH, PIKACHU, KINGLER, PIDGEOT and YOU CHARIZARD AND MY CHILD DOWN!) it said finding the strength to continue battling.
(THAT'S IT BUTTERFREE! NOW GO SHOW THAT VENASAUR WHO'S THE BOSS AROUND HERE!) said Charizard.
Butterfree nodded and took flight finding the strength to continue.
(End Pokémon translate)
Butterfree then started glowing and then its eyes turned blue.
"What's that?" said Ash getting his Pokédex out and looked it up and realized that Butterfree was able to learned that move.
"Well Ash your Butterfree is a tough one but it's time to end this, Venasaur Razor Leaf!" said Noland.
Venasaur launches multiple razor-sharp leaves from the leaves on its back and it was heading towards Butterfree.
"Butterfree stop it with Psychic!" said Ash.
Butterfree then used Psychic to stop Venasaur's attack in place and then send it back at Venasaur dealing a bit of damage to it.
"What?!" said Noland.
Everyone was surprised to see Butterfree using Psychic.
"How did Butterfree learned Psychic?" said Max.
"Charizard must've given quite the pep talk." Said Dante.
After the attack ended Butterfree felt more its energy drained because of Poison but it kept going for Ash's sake.
"You can do it Butterfree!" said Ash.
"PIKACHU!" said Pikachu cheering his friend.
Butterfree kept going and fighting hard.
"Butterfree won't last long, we need to end this battle fast." Ash thought.
"Venasaur use Sunny day!" Noland said.
Venasaur then fired a white orb from the flower on its back and it went up into the sky and to the sun making it brighter.
"If Noland is doing what I think he's doing.." said Ash. "Butterfree Psybeam Full Power!"
Butterfree fired a multicolored beam from its eyes.
"Venasaur Solar Beam!" said Noland.
Venasaur gathered sunlight and fired a white beam from the flower on it's back.
The two attacks collided forming an energy ball that build up on the power and got bigger and bigger until it resulted in a big explosion that send both Pokémon flying into the walls.
"VENASAUR/BUTTERFREE!" shouted Ash and Noland.
When the smoke cleared up it was shown both Pokémon on the ground with swirly eyes on their faces.
Everyone was shocked.
"Both Venasaur and Butterfree are both unable to battle, it's a double KO!" said Sergio.
"Ash catch!" said Dante throwing something at him.
Ash caught it, it was a Pecha Berry that was used to cure Poisoned Pokémon.
"ROAR!"
Ash saw Charizard flew down to the arena and picked up Butterfree and then flew up to the platform and landed.
"Thanks Charizard." Said Ash.
"Venasaur return!" said Noland recalling it. "You fought really hard today, take a long rest."
"Here Butterfree eat this." Said Ash.
Butterfree ate the berry and the poisoned left its body and was feeling better.
"Free, Free!" said Butterfree now cured.
Pikachu was happy that his friend was better and Charizard grunted as his way of saying "Not bad Butterfree." Before showing a smile.
"Well Butterfree you did great out there, you learned Poison Powder and Psychic and you beat Venasaur, I know the pink Butterfree would be very proud of you as I am." Said Ash.
That made Butterfree very happy.
"Now get a good long rest." Said Ash recalling it back to its PokéBall.
"Wow Ash has beaten 3 of Noland's Pokémon." Said May.
"Yep he has beaten Rhyhorn, Machamp and Venasaur." Added Max.
"Now there's only one left and that's Articuno." Put in Brock.
"Yep this will be Ash's toughest battle yet." Said Scott.
"Let's see how he handles it." Finished Dante.
"Articuno!" said Noland.
Articuno flew off from the stands and landed on the arena with its wings spread and ready to battle.
Charizard wanted to go but Ash held his hand out in front of it.
"Hold on Charizard I got something planned." Said Ash.
Charizard listened and step down.
"Huh? Ash not using Charizard right away?" said May.
"What are you planning Ash." Said Dante.
"Now Pidgeot I choose you!" said Ash.
"PIDGEOTU!" shouted Pidgeot taking flight.
"Interesting choice Ash. Now get ready Articuno." Said Noland and Articuno squawked as it got into battle mode.
'Ash has managed to defeat 3 of Noland's Pokémon and Butterfree learned Poison powder and Psychic. But now that Articuno has enter the field, Ash sends Pidgeot out to battle it. What is Ash planning and how will he beat the legendary pokémon Articuno? Stay tuned to find out."

Ok that ends part 1 of Ash vs Noland.
Sorry for the wait had a lot to do.
Well I got this done and good thing too, because I'll get started on part 2 soon.
Now as everyone knows the Pokémon anime is on a 2 week break and will resume in April which is good now that I can work on this story a bit more before the next episode comes out on April 9th.
BTW what did you think of the episode when Ash's KAMON evolved that was epic.
Now then I hope Ash catches more Pokemon like he did in the original and Unova series and to be honest one of the pokémon I wish would catch is Elekid. Now don't get me wrong I know Ash will have Pikachu with him at all times but I do kinda wish that Ash would at least have another Electric pokémon in the reserves just in case or Magnemite would work as well.
Now then after the battle and before they head over to Saffron City for the contest and battle arena, Ash will send Butterfree to go stay at May's place for a while before rejoining Ash later.
And after May's contest win Ash and the others will head for the main fighting dojo I'll explain that part later.
Now I will tell you this when I get to chapter 21 or 22 on this story I will put this on hold and then do my own take on mastermind of Mirage Pokémon with a little twist and when that is done I will resume on this story.
Now then in the next chapter both Pidgeot and Kingler will try to wear Articuno down a bit but Articuno will not make it easy.
Then Charizard comes in and takes it on.
Oh I hope you like the part I had the pokémon translate where Charizard was telling Butterfree not to give up I'll do it again sometime down the road, at least Meowth gets a break every now and then.
One more thing I've decided to have Seviper and Cacnea learn some new moves but you have to guess which ones they're learning.
Now that's it for now and I won't make chapter like this very long very often, takes a lot of time to do but hell it's Pokémon what do you expect.
