Hey everyone, how's it going?
I hope you like the last chapter.
Now then as I said in the last one I'm skipping a bit of episodes but Ash and May's Pokémon have gotten some new moves as they traveled and soon they will arrive in Saffron City for May's first contest.
Now then I will go as far as the appeals round and the random selection and that's where I'll end the chapter.
But I will need help for chapters that deal with Pokémon contests and so to anyone who has watched the anime and played the games and read the manga I will need some help, so PM me if you can give me a hand if you have free time.
In ch20 I will do the battle part of the contest and also I might throw a bit of advance shipping down the path.
Also I throw a clue to guess which trio will be coming to try to get revenge on Ash and Brock for being beaten in Viridian city.
Now about Ash visiting Sabrina well right now she's away on a journey with her dad to gain a bit more control of her powers and train her Psychic Pokémon but she'll be back in the sequel.
Now then I will tell you what new move James's Cacnea will learn at the end of the next chapter.
Another thing I was thinking that after May gets her 3rd ribbon and Ash his 3rd symbol and with a little help from Dante, Ash takes May out on a date with Dante feeding him words through a com-link.
Also I will reveal a part of the harem list of Ash's at the end of the chapter and the list will grow so I will ask everyone to be patient alright?
Now then around ch30 May's Birthday comes around and Ash gets her a very special gift but I ain't telling what it is… yet.
But I will say that Ash will meet Anabel and Greta again in the sequel and yes will join his harem.
Also I will bring some elements of the manga but that's it for now.

Chapter 19: Crazy moves in Saffron part 1
After many twists and turns in their adventure so far while dealing with Team Rocket's crap, Ash and the others continued on with their journey.
As they rode on top of Dante's Onix, Pikachu noticed something while perched on Onix's head. "Pika Pikachu!" said Pikachu getting excited.
"What is it Pikachu?" asked Ash.
"Ash, up ahead," answered Brock, catching his and everyone else's attention.
It was then that they all noticed some buildings coming into view in the distance that had a bit of golden glow due to the sun's rays hitting them. "Onix stop!" ordered Dante and Onix stopped right away at the outskirts. Everyone got off of Onix and stretched their limbs before they walked up to see a great view of the city.
"Well guys we arrived at Saffron City," remarked Brock.
"Yep home of the Saffron gym, fighting dojos, the first Pokémon contest and the battle Arena," added Dante, glancing at Ash and May who were pumped for those. All of a sudden there was a ringing sound and everyone looked at him. "Oh, sorry guys, that's me," said Dante as he pulled out his Pokégear from his pocket. "I gotta take this." He didn't wait for a reply and he went into the deeper part of the woods to take the call.
When he was alone, Dante answered the call. "What is it?" asked Dante in a serious voice.
"Dante, there's been a report of a criminal group made up of former members of Team Rocket, Magma, Aqua and Galactic. They've been active in some rural parts of the Hoenn region," informed the voice on the other end of the line.
"What?! Are you friggin serious?!" questioned Dante with an angry tone.
"Yes and they're planning to head to Ever Grand when the Champion League starts and during the champion match in one year."
"Damn! Well, thanks for the heads up. Continue your work and report back when I'm in Fuchsia city," ordered Dante.
"Got it and one more thing; there's been a report of Red moving about in Celadon city."
"I see. Carry on and be careful," said Dante and ended the call. "Damn it," he muttered under his breath while putting away his Pokégear.
He walked back to the others. "Sorry about that, I had something to take care of. Now then, return Onix." After recalling his pokemon, Dante began walking towards the city. "C'mon, let's head into the city so we can get May registered for the Pokémon contest," he advised, with Ash and the rest agreeing and following after him.
After getting into the city they arrived at the arena where the contest was going to take place tomorrow. At this point, May couldn't stop her excitement from growing and grabbed her Pokéballs. "Squirtle, Munchlax, Combusken let's go!" said May, throwing her Pokéballs in the air. Her pokemon appeared and May pointed to the contest hall. Combusken was getting pumped for it. However, Squirtle and Munchlax were busy looking around them before letting out big yawns. "Munchlax and Squirtle don't seem to be excited," sighed May.
"Well, this is their first time in a contest," reminded Brock.
"So what is it about these contests that got you so fired up that you wouldn't stop for lunch?" asked Dante.
"I could get my first Kanto ribbon and I want to get all my ribbons before Drew," said May.
"Of course, when it comes to ribbons you have that mindset. Kind of like Ash when it comes to battles and food. And Brock when it comes to girls," commented Dante with a grin.
"HEY!" said Ash and Brock.
"Well its true right, Pikachu?" said Dante.
"Pikachu," agreed Pikachu.
Then Ash noticed something by the stadium and saw people going in there.
"How come people are going in, if the contest isn't till tomorrow?" said Ash.
"Guess there's something going on." Said Max.
May ran up to a trainer while holding Squirtle with a Mankey in his hands.
"Excuse me, but is the hall open now?" asked May.
"That's right. It's what they call an open stage, Contestants can check out the stadium and it helps when you plan your performance." Said the Mankey trainer as he walked in.
"Uh yeah that would help." Said May.
Soon Ash and the others went inside until they got to the main contest arena and they also look to see many people working on construction of the contest and there was someone that looked like Vivian being read a script a script handler and she was listening and then she knew what to do now.
Then 'Vivian' walked to center stage as the director wanted.
May and the others saw 'Vivian' but she was wearing a blue crop top, a sun visor, an earring mic, blue shorts with a white belt, a magenta armband, some pantyhose and white shoes.
That made them wonder if it's the same person.
The Director then told the stagehands to get the lights up and then told 'Vivian' to bring out her Pokémon.
"Espeon, hit the stage!" she said and threw her PokéBall up and out comes Espeon who did a flip before landing on its feet and the spotlights were on it giving it a sparkling feeling.
May and her Squirtle adored Espeon's entrance and the director told 'Vivian' to keep going.
"Espeon use your Swift!" she said.
Espeon shoots yellow stars out of its mouth.
"And now follow with Psychic!" she added.
Espeon's gem on its forehead glows multicolored, its body becomes outlined in light green, and a multicolored shadow reaches around it and the swift attack got caught and was outlined in blue and can be controlled and Espeon made them into many rings of stars.
May and Squirtle were amazed.
"This is great." Said May.
"Espeon finish it." Said "Vivian."
Espeon leaped through the rings of stars and then did a bit of spinning and then a flip and then landed on its feet to finish its performance and it sparkled like the sun.
"What a show." Said May.
"That is one well-trained Espeon. Wow!" added Brock.
Squirtle got really curious and excited and leaped from May's arms and leaped down the steps and headed for the stage.
"Squirtle no!" said May.
Squirtle landed on the stage and Espeon and "Vivian" saw it.
"Hello?" she said.
Squirtle then decided to show its stuff by using Bubble.
It fired clear bubbles out of its mouth and making sparkles and it was happy.
"That's cute but what do you think you're doing up here?" "Vivian" asked when she picked up Squirtle.
"I'm sorry." Said May.
She and the others came up to the stage.
"Huh?"
"Before I knew it, it got away from me." Said May.
"No harm done, but you need to keep it off the stage while we're rehearsing." Said 'Vivian' as she handed Squirtle back to May.
Then Squirtle acted a bit fussy cause it wanted to perform more.
"Why are you acting this way Squirtle?" asked May.
"You know what? I think it's a born performer." Said 'Vivian.'
"Huh?" said May, with Squirtle being curious as well.
"I look forward to seeing it on stage." Said 'Vivian.'
"I'm assuming that you're going to use this little guy in your act tomorrow is that right?" she continued.
Squirtle chirped up to say yes.
"Maybe but we need some practicing first, sorry that we interrupted your routine Ms. Vivian." Said May.
"I'm not Vivian." Said 'Vivian.'
That surprised the group.
"But I met you several times in Contests in Hoenn where you were the MC remember?" said May. "In fact I have a couple of ribbons that you rewarded me with. I'm May from Petalburg city."
"Oh you must be thinking of my big sister." She said.
"Your sister?" said Max.
"Oh yeah now that I see you up close, it's obvious you're not Vivian." Said Brock.
"I know, and the way we dress is so different, you think that be enough but nope, everyone still gets us confused." Said 'Vivian's sister.
"I'm guess that happens a lot." Said Dante.
"Yep, allow me to introduce myself I'm Lillian the MC for the contest here in Kanto and my sister Vivian is the MC in Hoenn." The now Lilian introduced herself.
"Hi Lillian it's nice to meet you too." Said May.
"Squirtle, Squirt!" Squirtle chirped.
"Come on guys let's head to the Pokemon center, so that Lillian can continue." Said Dante.
Everyone agreed and they headed off to the pokemon center.
(Later on at the pokemon center.)
Ash, May, Brock and Max were sitting down having some juice while May's Pokemon were being checked over and Dante was on the phone making a call.
May was stirring her drink with a straw as she thought about who she was going to use in the contest.
"I'm just a little bit worried, Squirtle may seem like a natural, but this would be its first contest." Said May.
"If you're that worried, then why not use Beautifly and Skitty?" said Max.
"Yeah May both of them have plenty of experiences." Said Brock.
"I don't think so." Said May surprising everyone.
"I'm gonna go with Squirtle, I've been thinking about it and I just want to use the new pokémon I brought, instead of falling back on the things I done before." May said.
"Good plan." Said Max.
"I know what you exactly mean." Added Ash.
"Pika-Pika." Said Pikachu.
"Sometimes it's good to start over with a clean slate." Said Brock.
"I agree." Said Dante coming over as he finished his phone call.
Just then the PA speaker came on.
"Your attention please, contestant 45 your pokemon has passed their checks up and they're being brought out."
The speaker then turn off and the door opened as someone brought out May's Squirtle, Combusken and Munchlax on a gurney.
"That's good news. Thank you." Said May as she ran up to get her pokemon when she suddenly screamed as she saw who brought them out, Ash and the others poked their heads out and saw who it was they were shocked as well.
The one pushing the gurney was none other than May's contest rival Harley wearing a lab coat.
"Hold on just a minute here, Harley?!" said May in surprise.
"Well if it isn't May, long time no see huh?" Said Harley.
"Yeah, what are you doing here?" said May.
(Meanwhile with Team Rocket)
The trio walked into the Contest registration room and Jessie went under the pseudo-name Jessabella and presents her Contest Pass to a lady at the counter. The lady informs her that her Contest Pass is invalid because it is for Hoenn Contests, whereas Kanto Contests require a Kanto Pass. Jessie explains how famous she is and demands a Kanto Pass as Meowth and James appear as Jessabella's assistants Meowthison and Jamison and Jessie was able to get her pass to the Kanto contests.
While outside Jessie is confident that she will win the Saffron Contest and eventually become a Top Coordinator, but Meowth notes that she didn't win a single Ribbon in Hoenn. Jessie plants her foot in Meowth's face and then asks James to lend her Cacnea. Meowth says that the plan is crazy enough to work and convinces James to go with it. When he calls Cacnea out, though, it greets James with the usual prickly hug, which Jessie is not enthused about.
'Great bonding with needles.' She thought.
(Back with the others)
When May asks Harley why he is here, he explains that he became Nurse Joy's volunteer orderly as thanks after she nursed his Cacturne back to health. He says that he came here for the Contest, of course, and that the rules in Kanto are a little different: Coordinators may switch their Pokémon between the first and second rounds. Max accuses him of playing more dirty tricks, and Harley begs them to believe that he's a different person now, but their doubts remain. Joy then appears in the doorway to Brock's delight. Harley rushes over too and begs her to tell the group that the rules are indeed different, which she confirms. May and her friends are surprised to hear that Harley is telling the truth and has been a big help in the Pokémon Center. May decides to use Squirtle and Combusken in the Contest, and the two respond by athletically jumping off of the gurney and landing with a pose. As Nurse Joy leaves, Harley tells May that her Hoenn Pass will also work in Kanto and that registration is until 11 AM the next day. They agree to go eat lunch, but Harley grows a smirk on his face and chuckles.
"Hold on guys." Said Dante.
"What is it?" said May.
"I need to take care of something, all of you go ahead I'll catch up." He said.
Ash noticed there's something on Dante's mind and decided to leave him be and told the others to keep going.
Just as Harley was about to sneak off he felt a hand on his shoulder.
"I saw that."
Harley felt a bit of dread when he turned around to see Dante with a frown on his face.
"Seriously man? Pulling that trick on May about the deadline not cool." Said Dante.
Harley felt a bit of fear.
"While I should tell May what you did, I think she should have the chance to beat you to teach you a lesson." Said Dante.
Harley then relaxed a bit until Dante spoke up again.
"As sneaky as you are Harley." Dante said. "I need your help."
Harley was surprised by that.
"Why do you need my help?" he asked.
"Let's talk somewhere private, there's too many wandering ears." Dante said.
So Dante and Harley went to one of the rooms of the pokémon center and there Dante explained why he needed Harley's help.
Harley was shocked and a bit mortified of what he heard and a chill went down his spine when Dante was finished.
"Damn! That's shocking." Said Harley.
Dante only nodded.
"I can see why you need my help, but how come you didn't tell May and her friends?" Harley asked.
"Because I'm not ready to tell them yet and also the person I told you about is the same son of a bitch that gave me my scar and don't get me started on what he does to coordinators." Said Dante in a deep voice.
Harley swallowed a lump in his throat when Dante said that, after what he was told, he can see Dante was deadly serious.
"Ok I'll help, I'll gather some info regarding this guy and I promise not to pull any tricks on May before contests." Said Harley.
"Ok then." Said Dante.
"But I'll do it under one condition." Harley added.
"What's that?" said Dante.
"When the grand festival ends I want you to teach my Cacturne one new move for future contests." Said Harley.
Dante thought for a moment, he knew that Harley would get a bit of an advantage but in order to keep Ash and the others safe he knew he had to make some tough decisions.
"Ok then it's a deal." Said Dante.
They both shake hands to seal the deal.
"Now I'm off to get lunch but don't tell May and the others about our deal until May gets her two ribbons." Said Dante.
Harley nodded and Dante left and then he left as well with a bit on his mind.
Soon Dante joined the others and had lunch with them. They asked what took him so long but he told them he had some business to take care of.
(Back with Team Rocket)
Jessie then calls out Cacnea in an attempt to bond with it, but it is immediately frightened of her and jumps onto James. James desperately tries to break its embrace, after some words of encouragement from Meowth, Cacnea submits and reluctantly jumps at Jessie. Jessie's cry rings out from the forest.
"Yeesh she's going to feel that tomorrow." Said Meowth.
(Back with the others)
After lunch, Ash and the others were relaxing in the main lobby when Harley joined them and he and May talked about contests and he mentioned seeing Drew and Max remain suspicious of Harley.
Then Jessie runs through the Pokémon Center doors with Cacnea tangled up in her hair, causing her pain and distress, Ash and the others got up and saw that and winced.
"Damn that's going to hurt like hell." Said Dante.
Everyone nodded at that.
A Chansey puts them onto a gurney and Nurse Joy sends them to the operating room—to Jessie's surprise—and calls Harley to come help her.
Now May decided she needed to get some training in as well.
Meanwhile James and Meowth saw that a lot of people were entering the contest as well and decided to help Jessie even things out by stealing all of the pokémon here.
Outside Ash and the others saw everyone was getting in some last minute practice for the contest and Ash offered to battle May to get a bit of practice in and she then brought out her Squirtle. Then mechanical arms snatch it and Pikachu away and drop them into a cage suspended by Team Rocket's Meowth Hot Air Balloon. James and Meowth perform the motto themselves, with the group noticing Jessie's absence.
"Maybe Jessie got fired or something." Said Brock.
"HARDLY!" shouted James and Meowth.
"Besides it's too embarrassing to talk about." Meowth added.
Ash was about to have Pikachu use thunderbolt but saw that Squirtle was in the cage with him and if he attacks Squirtle would get hit as well so he backed off.
Inside the Pokémon Center operating room, Jessie's hair is twisted around Cacnea's body. Nurse Joy calls for Jessie's hair to be cut, which she protests. A Scizor appears and demonstrates its sharp claws, making Jessie faint on the operating table. Joy tells Harley to get Jessie's friends so that they offer her some moral support.
Team Rocket acquires more Pokémon at a high rate. James and Meowth begin to float away, but Harley runs outside to help.
"Ariados come on out!" said Harley.
Out came Ariados from its PokéBall.
"Hey Harley what's up?" said May.
"Don't worry I'll help you stop them." He said. "Go Ariados spider web!"
Ariados fired a sticky web and trapped the balloon stopping their escape.
"Alright!" said Ash.
"That stopped them." Added Max.
Harley urges May to follow up, and she calls out Combusken to use Sky Uppercut on the bottom of the cage, breaking it and releasing the Pokémon into their Trainers' arms. James is still determined to make their getaway, so Meowth readies his claws to cut the web with Fury Swipes.
Lillian came rushing out and saw everything.
"You're not going anywhere." Said May.
Squirtle then jumped out of May's arms and then surprising everyone by firing a beam of cold energy from its mouth hitting the balloon, exploding it and freezing and sending James and Meowth blasting off.
"Squirtle!" said Squirtle landing on its feet.
May was surprised that Squirtle learned Ice Beam and the others agreed that Squirtle learned Ice Beam as a way to thank May for the love and support she gave it.
The group acknowledges May and Squirtle for saving the Pokémon, but she extends the honor to Harley and his Ariados. She and Harley shake hands and wish each other luck in the Contest.
Lillian saw everything and was impressed by May's character and the way she saved the Pokémon and thought of something.
Later that night, James and Meowth, still bruised, report to Jessie that they attempted to capture the other Contest Pokémon so she could win. Jessie is touched by the gesture, though admits that she and Cacnea will win tomorrow. James and Meowth are glad to see Jessie is confident despite her signature locks being severely cut, much to Jessie's embarrassment.
The next morning, May goes to register for the Contest, but the concierge woman not only tells her that her Pass is invalid, but the deadline to register was 10 AM. May is distraught from the news, and her friends realize that Harley had tricked them once again. Around a dark corner, Harley observes the scene and considers this to be revenge. However, Lilian comes to her rescue, informing the concierge that May saved the contestants' Pokémon the previous day, and that without her, there wouldn't be a Contest.
The woman slyly says that she did in fact get May's registration and Pass, but had forgotten. She then gives May her Contest Pass and a Ribbon case, and May thanks Lilian. Harley is annoyed his plan failed, though he remains determined to keep May from winning the Saffron Ribbon.
Harley then left planning for his routine.
May is determined to win her first ribbon.
"Max, Brock head over to the hall and get us some seats, me and Ash will be over there in a few minutes." Said Dante.
"Ok." Said Brock.
So Brock and Max headed over to the hall to get some seats leaving the 4 behind.
"May I know Harley tricked you into not being able to register, but thanks to Lillian you're in and the path to your first ribbon will not be easy." Said Dante.
"But we got your back right Pikachu?" said Ash.
"PIKA!" said Pikachu.
"Thanks guys." Said May.
"Now do us a little favor and when you face Harley kick his ass!" said Dante.
"I will!" said May now getting fired up.
"Now get out there!" said Dante.
May then ran for the contest hall and heading for the room where the coordinators are.
Ash and Dante then joined up with Brock and Max and took their seats.
Lilian officially begins the Saffron City Pokémon Contest by show casing the prize Ribbon the winning Coordinator will receive and explaining the rules. Lilian then introduces the judges of the Saffron Contest: Raoul Contesta from the Pokémon Activities Committee, Mr. Sukizo from the Pokémon Fan Club, and the Nurse Joy from the local Pokémon Center. She asks the crowd if they are ready to begin, prompting uproarious cheers. In the audience, James wonders if Jessie might actually win this one, but Meowth replies saying that she doesn't stand a chance. Despite his friendly act backstage, Harley is equally doubtful of May's chances of winning and determined to defeat her.
But May remains firm and said she'll defeat him.
Harley is the first contestant and calls upon his Cacturne, who starts things off with Cotton Spore. The spores slowly rotate in the air while Harley calls for Needle Arm. Cacturne stands motionless for some time before suddenly protruding spikes from its whole body through all of the spores, creating an interesting display. Later, "Empress Jessibella"—Jessie in disguise—takes to the stage and sends out Cacnea. Cacnea and Jessie run toward each other and hug each other. The painful embrace moves Lilian and the crowd to tears, showcasing the pair's close bond. Jessie tells Cacnea to use Pin Missile and the pins wind upward and collide, exploding like fireworks. Lilian goes to congratulate Jessie but notices that Cacnea is still attached to her and she's not moving at all. Lilian taps her and she falls to the floor, paralyzed with pain. Jessie is then rushed back into the operating room again by Chansey.
"Ooh that's got to hurt." Said Ash.
Everyone agreed to that and sweat dropped, even Harley and Cacturne sweat dropped.
Lilian then introduces the last contestant, May, with her Squirtle at her side. Squirtle becomes uneasy at the sight of the massive crowd, but May says that it'll get used to it. She calls upon Combusken, who emerges from its Poké Ball in a series of gymnastic somersaults. May then unties and throws her bandanna toward Combusken, ordering a Fire Spin followed by Sky Uppercut. Combusken propels the bandanna upward with Fire Spin, leaps through the spiraling flames, and uses Sky Uppercut to refold the bandana. Combusken then delivers one last blow to send the retied bandanna right back onto May's head. Combusken lands in front of May and the two pose for the finish. The crowd goes wild, shouting and cheering. Squirtle looks on admiringly and everyone seems to be pleased with her performance, except for Harley, who looks disappointed with her success.
The first round was done and now came who will move on and the 8 people were announced on the screen which includes May, Harley and Jessie with the top position of the round. James and Max are surprised at Jessie's success and wonder if she might actually win. The contestants' battle match-ups are randomly selected, and it is revealed that Jessie will face Harley and May will battle a male participant in the second round of the Contest. As May is filled with excitement, Harley approaches to meddle with her confidence once again. May fires back quickly, silencing her malicious rival. Suddenly a completely bandaged individual confronts the pair before revealing herself as the "Empress Coordinator" Jessibella. Harley and Jessibella are set on defeating one another, and both point to May, declaring that they'll beat her next.
But May counter back and said that both of them will be going down.
"May had managed to pass the first round of the contest, but so did Jessie and Harley and now things will be a bit more difficult since the rules in Kanto are different from Hoenn, but can May overcome both of her rivals and win her first Kanto Pokemon contest ribbon? Find out as the journey continues."

Ok that ends this very long and overdue Pokemon chapter.
Sorry for the delays but when other stories and ideas and personal life get mixed in it's hard to separate them.
Ok on with the notes.
You may read that Dante has Harley for his help with something and it does involve with someone from his past and the same one who gave Dante his scar. That will be explained a bit in the next chapter and in ch23.
Now in the next chapter will be the battles and also something a bit different, you'll have to wait and see.
Now as I stated earlier I will reveal a preview of who is in Ash's harem for Vol.1 and don't worry the list will get bigger in the later stories so here it is.
Ash's Harem: May, Misty, Lily, Violet, Daisy, Anabel, Greta, Flannery, Roxanne, Winona and Liza from Johto.
That's the list for now and it'll be updated again in ch25.
Now I will ask you all this question in the next chapter after May's contest and heading for the main Pokémon fighting dojo. I want to ask you all this Between Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan, which one would Ash, May and Brock get? And before you ask, Dante already had both of them back when he traveled alone.
Now then it's time I give the clue of which trio wants revenge on Ash and Brock, the clue is they appeared in Catch you later and in Cerulean Blues giving Misty trouble which trio is it?
